Hello.

It is with great regret to inform that I will be no longer engage with the hermitcraft fandom, nor create hermitcraft fanworks.

This hard decision is made due to a recent recovery from my own hallucination, as it turns out that Mumbo Jumbo doesn't exist in Real Life.

Thinking about the conversation etho had immediately after joining the 4Gs

Etho: "I'm a terrible teammate"

Scott: "As long as you don't betray us"

Etho: "I mean I've been betraying pretty much everybody this... (reconsiders) but I'll do my best"

And then shortly afterwards

Etho: "Let's keep this on the down low a little bit as well, because... mhm mhm, let's pretend like it doesn't even exist"

He clearly isn't ready to commit to the team, so I'm curious to see what'll happen when more people start dying. Will he pick a hill to die on, or will he cling to whoever has the best shot at winning?

Either way, at the moment, the 4Gs seem like yet another alliance of convenience and not a serious commitment. He's okay with selling his loyalty for 'more options'.

etho was once again quite active in the chat of bdubs' latest stream, being the nr1 bdubs fan that he is, and i once again felt the need to compile as many chat messages that i could spot from him, being the ethogirl that i am.

context: etho finding out that bdubs gave away speedy supreme

context: etho being a scar apologist i guess. (in reality doc was flying over bdubs' base with a flying machine, holding a live-shulker. & doc was panicing about bdubs flying too close to the machine/shulker)

context: etho plugging his favourite piece of bdubs merch! go get yourself a pink hoodie that was specifically made for etho <3

context: etho's comeback to bdubs saying he's a horse whisperer, while he also just mentioned the mod he uses to see a horse's speed + that there was a vanilla way to measure the speed of a horse, used by etho, if u were willing to take the time to ride each horse through a million cobwebs.

context: horse rated trash/14 speed by etho xD

context: according to etho, bdubs' height is fake and does not exist. (i don't know how that would work, but etho is never wrong so)

context: bdubs put on the pink hoodie, which was a very exciting moment for etho.

context: bdubs saying that... he was tall where it mattered? in his heart? which resulted in this comeback from etho. (etho is referencing an old vlog bdubs did where he talked about putting lifts in his shoes)

context: bdubs said that part of the reason for the lifts was so that he wouldn't look small next to his wife when she wore high heels. etho did not relent.

context: hermits were telling jokes in the hermitcraft chat and etho wanted to participate.

BONUS:

context: bdubs' mods on their way to "take etho out back" as was requested by bdubs after the height jokes.

The hill I will die on is that LastLife!Etho (and Etho more generally) worries so much about rules and that's the reason some people think that he comes across as 'uncaring', especially when it comes to giving Bdubs his life. In episode 5, he tells Cleo he can't just give her the brewing stand - he can't just give things to red lifes, it has to be a deal. He is happy to make the deal for Bdubs to sign Scar's book to get him a life, and then executes the boogey kill (arguing that he didn't break any contract), and Then signs Scar's book himself. He goes on to argue that 'The Boogeyman took the enchanter' but when Scar counters that Etho was cured upon the kill so that's untrue, Etho backs down. He talks about rules and technicalities and he loves to play the game but he wants to find loopholes, not break rules.

That's why he hesitates to give Bdubs his life later on. All alliances with reds are cut, so he can't give anything to Bdubs without something in return. And yes he's a survivor yes he bends to the whims of others but he does care. He was the one out there working to get Bdubs back on yellow, and he was willing to make enemies to do it if he had to. He never fully trusts Bdubs and he vocalises that after he sees BigB kill Cleo ("it's always the ones you least expect") but he does care. He does.

Some of my favourite hermits!

Joe: Hes a ghost inhabiting a custom plush body- A Juppet- if you will. Probably made by Cleo? honestly my favourite hermit design. (my overall favourite design isnt actually a hermit... its Jimmy...)

Bdubs: A Breezie! very little body, very large eyes!

Etho: Unicorn! Horn and eye broke and corrupted in an experiment gone wrong. He can no longer utilise magic, but his magic can be used as a powersource if connected directly. Also, his CM is a reference to the Etho hopper clock!

Cleo: A zombie pony. Ofcourse they put it together herself. Different to Joe who is a ghost, Cleo is stuck to her body so long as they still has their brain and heart, all other pieces are fair game. Usually her magic is too weak to do much other than levitation with a horn (and it dies fairly quick after use), but so long as her wings are connected properly they work fine. Flying too fast can be dangerous though, it could loosen her stitches.
