Anyone ask for the commentary yet for the latest chapter >:3 *dies*
You’d be the first!
So this chapter is cursed. Let’s talk about that first.
You probably noticed that my writing output has been in the gutter this year. I have not written half as much as I should have. There are two main reasons why. The first is that I finally decided to get off my ass and have a more enriching personal life. This means a lot more of my evenings and weekends have been spent exploring other hobbies or taking weekend trips. I don’t regret any of those, and they have really improved my life overall (but I do write more when I am a sad little shut-in).
The second, more pressing reason was that there was a very important wedding I was the maid of honor for. That means I have spent a lot of my free time this year planning a bachelorette, a bridal shower, and helping with general wedding prep. I honestly was not nearly as busy as an expert maid of honor would have been, but all of this took up so much of my brain space that I was having trouble being creative. Multiple times, I would go to a coffee shop with plans to write, only to spend the entire time stressing about buying a new dress or researching hotels.
I did not realize how stressed I was about this whole thing until literally this week. The wedding is over now, and I am already biting huge chunks into the upcoming chapter. I just have so much more brain space to write. I feel free.
All that’s to say that this chapter was primarily written the month leading up to the wedding, and my head was Not There. I was struggling to figure the chapter out, and that struggle is reflected in the quality of the prose. For that, I apologize, as inevitable as it was.
I won’t make any major revision to this chapter, but I have plans to redo my proof-reading. There is an egregious number of typos in this chapter, more than I consider acceptable for a one person team of me.
(That being said, my typos have gotten worse this past year; ever since AI was integrated into Grammarly and Google Docs, both have been godawful for helping me fix errors. I appreciate how lenient you all have been with my most blatant mistakes.)
Now that all of that is established, let’s talk about this chapter.
This introduction to Proxi is really, really bad. I am frankly a little embarrassed that I went ahead and published it. While I had a vision for the first few scenes of Link trying to help Proxi and Jakucho’s aid afterwards, I didn’t realize until the day of writing that I actually had 0 plans for how Warriors and Proxi’s first conversation would go.
I am not even joking. I have a bunch of plans for their interactions together afterwards (which will appear next chapter). But their first conversation once Proxi started to get better? None.
So what little they talked together here feels like a waste of space. What’s worse, I don’t even know what I would change the dialogue to in order to fix it. My brain is blank. I don’t know.  It’ll probably hit me in a few weeks. This is the trouble with publishing what is essentially the first draft of a story. If my initial ideas are solid, it’s great. But when my brain farts, I’m screwed.
That being said, my favorite part of the past section is that first half where Link frets over how to help Proxi, as well as Jakucho’s speech about the fairies disappearing.
I have been trying to subtly establish this era of Hyrule as being one that is shocking devoid of magic; having Jakucho mourn the loss of fairies and what omen that could mean feels like I am ruining things. Nonetheless, I just really like the idea of Jakucho having this small moment of wonder over seeing a fairy, as well as her verbalizing these fears that darker times are ahead.
I think I just enjoy reading about older people having the same anxieties about the world as younger people. It’s more comforting to me than an all-knowing mentor.
So this chapter has a lot of random names splattered all over the place. Me being me, I stole some of the names from other media and such I enjoy. I’ll point out any fun connections as I find them.
So for Proxi’s list of names for Link, there’s two of note. The first is Grimshaw, which is the name of the male lead from Lightlark. Despite how much I talk about Fourth Wing on this blog, Lightlark is the bad book I am truly passionate about.
The second is Wen-li, which is for Yang Wen-li from Legend of the Galactic Heroes. He’s the character of all time for me, and I will go insane if I think about him for too long.
This Proxi section was supposed to go on a little longer, but by the time it came to write it, I was 100% over this chapter. Luckily, next chapter will be a fresh slate and I can finally deliver on all my promises about Proxi’s return.
I cannot emphasize enough how frustrating it is to know that I fucked up an important character’s return. It’s... sigh. C’est la vie. Whatever.
Onto the present day:
So I have a particular problem with the present day section. The last chapter, this chapter, and the one I am writing now are all the same plot point in my outline. I severely underestimated how long the lead up to a Very Important Event was going to be. No doubt, I have probably made similar mistakes before. But I am trying to finish this story, so any time I have to draw out the pacing, I die a little on the inside.
I think I initially planned to just skim over how Warriors got to the castle, but then I realized that this was the politics stuff that is the supposed bread and butter of the story. But the reason why I wanted to skim over everything was (as Legend pointed out) fucking networking.
What’s worse, I got to this chapter and realized that, realistically, Warriors should have to spend at least a few months building up a cult of personality. This should be a (purposeful) multi-chapter arc. I don’t want to do that, so I tried to really emphasize how much Warriors was using his reputation as the hero and legends surrounding it to his advantage. Does it still feel unrealistic? Yeah, but we’re just going to have to cope with it.
Sevas is named for the male lead in Ava Reid’s Juniper & Thorn, which was sitting on my desk when I realized the priest needed a name.
Colonel Remarque is named for Erich Remarque, author of All Quiet On the Western Front. I think I had made a post name-dropping him around the time I got to this character.
Matthew Thorn... again, Thorn is for Reid’s book. Matthew was just the most bland name I could think of.
Vlad Dubarry... so I was watching both Castlevania and Rose of Versailles and took the first and surname from both respectively.
Between the conversation with the priest, the provost office, and Remarque, I was trying to give out a few more details every time to paint a clear picture without boring the reader by reiterating information over and over again. Unfortunately, I still managed to write three pretty boring scenes.
That being said, I think the friction Remarque offered was interesting to write, even if I had to resist pointing out every single plot hole during it.
So everything from the castle to Spirit being poisoned took me the longest to write. I knew it was boring, but I could not figure out a way to make it more exciting without omitting the networking stuff entirely. I didn’t really hit a stride with this chapter until I got to Spirit being poisoned.
The entire time Spirit was being poisoned, I was rubbing my hands together maniacally. I have been searching for a good moment to have a true poisoning in this story and I finally got it.
Also, I think if this chapter was of higher quality, someone out there would have realized that, for purely medical reasons, Hyrule had to technically give Spirit and smooch on the lips. There should be at least two very silly memes about this. But, alas. The quality.
You can tell I ran into the realization that, realistically, the Royal Guard’s structure would be more complex than I have alluded to previously. Very importantly, you can tell I realized that I should have mentioned the King’s Guard sooner if they were really going to be this powerful subsection of the Royal Guard.
I actually like how the idea that the King’s Guard is only super powerful in matters relating to the king, aka: Castle Town, and is pretty insignificant otherwise. The bureaucratic bullshit that must cause feels very real. But you can tell that I have no idea what rank that would make Endicott. I have been bending over backwards to not state that man’s ranking.
That being said, his absence from Warriors’s social circle until now is kinda important. Put a pin in that. It will come back.
Also, Endicott is a name I stole from Over the Garden Wall. I picked it because it sounds like the name of someone important. I picked Roald at randomed.
I am really happy that a lot of you have been enjoying the growing distrust the Chain has for Spirit. Insert rant about how victims have to remain palatable in order to be emphasized with, and how tragic it is that the only person who seems to understand that is the person who traumatized him in the first place.
I feel like I have been fumbling Time’s character a bit, and his conversation at the floor of Spirit’s bed is me finally getting back on track with him. I enjoyed writing that so much, from him trying to fold the scarf to him being upset that no one has learned their lesson yet, all while still not learning a lesson himself.
There was going to be a comment somewhere that Spirit is in such bad shape in part because his lungs are weak from all that smoking he does, but I honestly don’t know if anyone but Spirit would make that connection.
I also need to put Legend and Midna together more. They can be so snarky, and I want them to keep a running commentary of Warriors and Spirit’s bullshit like they are two sports announcers watching a football game.
I first imagined Spirit and Warriors’s conversation taking place on the parapet, and came to the same realization about the ladders that Spirit had. I’m glad I put them by the moat, though. The bit about the smell is probably my favorite bit of prose in the chapter.
I also really like this conversation between Spirit and Warriors. It’s not as insanity inducing as their past bullshit has been, but it hits a few notes. I like Warriors showing off how much he understands Spirit’s abilities (via the jacket), as well as Spirit’s utter disbelief that Warriors is capable of caring for anyone but himself.
I was also trying really hard to put more of their bullshit into subtext. I have a bad habit of having characters just state what they are feeling out loud, so I am trying to write more coded dialogue. It’s never just about a toaster, etc.
Warriors was also having such a night of self-discovery. First he had a little moment to freak out about how much his sincere attempts to help sound like manipulation. Then he realized that he would probably never be fully exonerated from his past. Big night for him.
Being unable to fully fix your past is part of the reason why I buffer against the idea of Warriors having a redemption arc. That implies a certain amount of undoing that is just not possible. I don’t know if I am putting that well. However, I am concerned that I am letting my Catholic upbringing color my perspective.
That being said, if Catholicism was a thing in Hyrule, Warriors would be that and be plagued by Catholic Guilt
He’s Catholic coded.
Irish Catholic, to be specific. There’s a difference.
Anyway, Four. When Four showed up, I was going to have this bit of dialogue where Spirit would allude to knowing about Vio (and therefore, Four) having a relationship with Shadow. It would have been nestled in a larger, coded bit of dialogue where Four would obliquely imply that he was starting to suspect what the Hot Mess is. I cut it because A) Spirit is so socially inept that he cannot do subtly like that, and B) Spirit’s spirit senses would not give him the ability to know about Shadow.
I also did not want to commit to Four figuring it out first, if at all.
I have so many ideas about what Warriors the Symbol means to the people of Castle Town that I will hopefully be able to elaborate on in this upcoming chapter.
Realistically, Hyrule Castle should probably be more like a fortress. But again, I have been watching The Rose of Versailles, and I just really liked the idea of the castle being this symbol of opulence during a time of poor economics. The people are struggling but the nobles are thriving, babes.
Also, Endicott is so much fun to write. He’s like the true antagonistic version of Lincoln. That man was enjoying making Warriors squirm, and I was having a blast writing it. The sexual favors line? I was utterly delighted.
Realistically, Endicott probably could have been replaced with Whitestone. However, Whitestone is still on the front and I don’t regret putting him there to be Wind’s superior during his short stint as a soldier. (Even if I still think I could have cut out Whitestone in favor of giving Impa more to do.)
I also feel bad for killing Meemaw off so suddenly, but I was enchanted by the idea of her name having to be crossed off because the death was that  recent.
I also was going to have Endicott spare Warriors for unknown reasons, with the reveal that Ganondorf had been bribing him coming later in the story, However, I was so worried about this seeming too-easy for Warriors that I decided to reveal that detail early.
Okay, King of Hyrule stuff.
I’m trying to play at this idea of Zelda’s reputation not matching her actual role. Earlier in the story, Warriors describes her as a socialite with no political sense, and Zelda derisively thinks that of herself as well. Then that bit about her being the face of the kingdom is supposed to contradict that perception. She can’t just be a socialite if she had been the mouthpiece of the king since she was a child.
There’s supposed to be multiple mistakes going on here: Warriors assuming the worst of Zelda, a sexist perception of Zelda by society as a whole, and Zelda feeling worthless because she knows she’s just a symbol. Not sure if I conveyed any of that well.
Reuenthal’s dementia was caused in part by a stroke, but he also has a condition called prosopometamorphopsia, which is a form of face blindness where faces become distorted the longer you look at them.
Fun fact is that I generally knew that there was some kind of condition that had made Reuenthal isolate from other people, but I did not pick prosopometamorphopsia until I read this article from the New Yorker. I won’t go as far as to say that I wrote an accurate version of the disorder; I definitely played up the emotional distress it causes for dramatic effect. That is probably problematic, so please do not trust this story as a definitive source on it.
This also went unsaid in the story, but I imagine that because every daughter in the royal family is named Zelda, they probably go more by their middle names. I almost named dropped one of her sisters as Zelda Artemis, just to be mean.
The last line “A week later, everything went to hell” is, admittedly, very silly. I had a whole section describing what that meant written, but it seriously sucked. I am in the process of rewriting it now, and it’s already so much better. Plus, now that I have another chapter to hit these plot points, I can explore a more daring version of my original idea. Very excited for it.
That being said, I would 100% cut off that last line and probably improve the chapter by 3%.
And that’s the chapter! Again, I am so sorry that it was such substandard quality. I promise that the next chapter will be better.
In other news, can I get your opinion on something. Ever since polls came out, I have wanted to do a little census poll on how many people know about CTB, read it, or choose to read it. Just to gage how big the actual audience is.
On one hand, I think it would be interesting. On the other, it’s a practice in vanity that is very antithetical to how hard I try to be nonchalant about everything. I don’t know. Let me know what you think.

Oh look it's another GD crossover
Ghost Drone AU - @electrozeistyking
You already saw all this art but shhh HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
This originally started out with me just wanting to draw Beanie interacting with the Intertwined Codes Kids but then I added some extra stuff lol.
If you're a reader of Intertwined Codes, this kinda sorta spoils future stuff bc only the twins have been mentioned in the Draft/Teaser fic but oh well. You have been warned.
Tumblr media
IC!Uzi wouldn't like actually meet GD!N bc they'd kinda decide that "hey, let's not have the widowed man see an alternate version of his wife that actually got live." simply out of respect kinda?? So she would stick around at home with the kids whilst IC!N goes out to look for Beanies Dad after their kids drag her to them lmao.
So yeah she doesn't necessarily know the extent of the mans depression, the kids just mentioned there only being a dad so she just specifically asks about GD!N in this doodle
Tumblr media
IC!N would quickly pick up on GD!N not being completely okay, even without being told any details. So he probably would end up sitting him down to talk on their way back to the IC!Doorman families place, wanting to help if he can in any way. (He runs a Daycare and tries to also be a support to any parent that needs it, so I feel he out of habit would lean into trying to do that with GD!N)
More/The kids under the Cut otherwise the post looks so long rip
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I will go over each of these one by one (can'tdo close ups bc 10 image limit, I'll reblog this in a second with the close ups.)
Left are the Code-Related Nuzi kids, right are the adopted ones.
Code related kids
Zagi:
Not much to say, I'm still working out their personality - they're maybe 2-3 years older than Beanie, so they aren't too far apart in age. :)
Orita:
She's the sibling who started the trend of putting stickers on her siblings, so she DEFINITELY would do the same with Beanie.
She also probably originally was going to show her how to build a weapon, but her parents promptly stopped that lmao .
She would think it's really cool that Beanie has a custom core icon & in general is completely customized from the start! She herself was originally put into a regular worker body (just with the tail and headband being custom made by her mom), she had to build the DD forearms herself. She also has a sticker of the DD icon on her core, covering the WD icon :3
Rexim:
At this point he has enough siblings to be past the "ew a little kid" phase, so luckily Beanie gets spared that. His main camera is damaged, he only really uses his headband optics to look around, so he would kinda just look as if he's staring past her a lot. But bc of the obvious cracks in his visor I feel she would pick up on the fact he's not actually ignoring her.
Also he definitely would just play music to her, because IC!Uzi kinda always has music on whilst working in her workspace he kinda picked up some of her taste in music (Hence he's playing the same song that Uzi is shown to have been listening to in Ep7)
Raven:
First up THANK YOU Zeisty for helping me brainstorm silly stuff for them. They're a little ball of chaos now and I love them.
Anyways.
They would join Orita in bedazzling Beanie, and then they'd start talking about bird facts and also try to get Beanie to talk about her interests.
(Their height difference isnt 100% accurate bc halfway through drawing this I changed the IC timeline, making Raven about the same age as Zagi instead of them being a teen, so I kinda had to manually try and semi-fit their heights lol)
Adopted Kids
Ray:
Nothing to say. He's a baby. Tho whilst I was outlining this one I had to giggle because of how big he is in Beanies hands. She's so tiny 😭💕 /affectionate
Annika:
Oh boy. Ann.
Annika is the eldest kid & was adopted a while before Zagi was coded / whilst the parents were organizing the code copies for Zagi
She does NOT know how to talk to other kids. Never did. It made her stick out at the orphanage wing because she just avoided everyone. And it is very chaotic when Olivia and Ray first show up, because Ann's only idea of talking to other Drones is "well you got to be relatable" so she brings up the siblings dead parents bc like, her code parents are dead too. Both pairs dying to DDs. So yeah she probably would be the first, if not only one, in the whole household to just bring up GD!Uzi. She would do it like it's nothing either.
IC!Uzi would promptly get her to stop and sit her down having a conversation about "what did N and I say about trying to connect on that topic?"
Like IC!Uzi would actually feel really bad about it despite Beanie not knowing her mom. Bc she herself obviously didn't remember IC!Nori growing up but still didn't like the topic.
Olivia:
Olivia, as I said, was greeted with the topic of dead parents by Annika as well. So she probably would kinda interfere when IC!Uzi goes to sit Ann down to talk.
She would feel the need to apologize for the older girls behavior (which Ann would apologize for herself later too ofc) and would try to get Beanie to go play something together whilst IC!Uzi sorts that whole situation out.
She's also the closest to Beanies age probably, just was forced to mature bc of what happened to her parents, despite being taken in by Nuzi shortly after. She still obviously acts like a kid tho when comfortable, so I feel she would kinda ease up around Beanie and actually act more like a 4-5 year old around her.
Bonus? Bonus!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Needless to say Beanie would return home covered in stickers & hairpins (Orita & Raven have more than enough of those, they'd just let Beanie keep some)
Tumblr media
RIP GD!N having to get her out of those stickers once they're back home
Also, for the "*humming*" variation of the picture I blame @k1k0oftheworld. Kiko was in vc with me when I was talking about how Beanie would be covered in stickers when she gets home, and saw the doodles as well.
He proposed the following scenario after seeing Rexim show Beanie IC!Uzis playlist:
Beanie humming dead batteries song & GD!N having a breakdown bc it reminds him of GD!Uzi
I do not take accountability for this, I was going to spare the poor widowed man.
(I scrapped the idea of him not knowing ab the IC!Doorman family and him getting a mini heart attack when Beanie goes "I met Mom today" in favor of him and IC!N meeting & talking - I WANTED TO SPARE HIS POOR HEART)
@k1k0oftheworld you owe him money for a therapy session now /silly
Anyways that's it, I'll put the close ups in the reblog like I said 👍

Playing with the Dick-Jason-Tim age timeline again because playing with “can I fit Dick being 8 at the circus and Tim also being there” is enrichment for my brain.
Using Batman: Year 3 and A Lonely Place of Dying as the starting point this time, being that they are the ORIGIN of the timeline dilemma that nobody can quite square, and I have a solution to offer for the timeline up to LPoD (highly dependent on ‘if the pre-Crisis fact doesn’t fit, that’s because it’s pre-Crisis’ and ignoring future retcons. I’m building this from the original scaffold)
Dick is 8 at the circus. Tim is 3. We will establish this via Year 3 (“almost 10 years” since the Graysons died/the orphanage) and Tim’s canonical age in LPoD (13).
Given the fuzziness over when Tim actually turned 14, we’re going to run with Dick being close to his birthday when LPoD occurs. Using the 20 March birthday for Dick and the 19 July birthday for Tim, this gives us a 5 year, 4 month age gap and makes Tim about 3 ½ at the circus, which is a little older than I like him to be (I have so much more flexibility with dates if I can claim he’s 2, damn you Year 3 for using ‘almost’ rather than ‘approximately’), but we’ll live with it because I really need Dick to be almost 19 on the day Tim appears simply to try and cram as much pre-Crisis late-Robin and Nightwing history in as possible. This contradicts Dick being 20 prior to Jason’s death, but Dick can’t both be 20, have the circus 10 years ago, and be 8 years old for his parents’ death. However, squaring this with Janet Drake’s burial date of Christmas Eve is difficult, because Tim still being 13 at her funeral becomes impossible. Alternatively, if we use the 24 October birthday for Dick and still place Haly’s Circus and LPoD in the period before Dick’s birthday (maybe some time in September/October), we can come out of this with “about to turn 19” Dick and “13 and a bit” Tim, with a 5 year, 9 months gap between them, plus giving Tim a 3 month training period before he debuts as Robin on 24 December. In either case, choose whether Dick being born on the first of Northern Hemisphere Spring or Janet Drake being buried on Actual Christmas Eve is the more important fact in your heart to determine which option you use here.
Timeline markers:
Dick therefore does not debut as Robin until he is 9. He was Robin from 1940 to 1984, a period of 8, almost 9 years using ye olde 5 real years to 1 comics year rule. This actually matches fairly well with the date I want to give as when Dick stops being Robin – at some point when he’s 17. Yes, I have to give up the semester at Hudson University still happening while Dick is Robin not Nightwing, but that’s pre-Crisis. The Bruce and Dick fight where Bruce benches Dick, Dick storms out, and heads off to New York to be his own man (and changes his name to Nightwing) all happens at some point when Dick is ~17. Dick’s schooling is a bit of a black hole given his childhood and the contradictory birthdays (and the fact I’m not great on northern hemisphere school year dates and start dates). I THINK the October birthday is better for this in that we just have to pretend he was the youngest in the class, and can say Dick finished school still 17 and before he becomes Nightwing. March birthday I think if the fight happened while Dick was still 17 and at school, our lad was commuting from New York to school for the final few months (good thing his best friends include a speedster and a flyer, I guess). Or it happened when Dick was 18 and 3 months on approximately the exact day after Dick finished school, and the timeline suddenly gets VERY tight.
I like Dick being 17 when he becomes Nightwing if we can wrangle it for the simple fact that it gives a nice parallel for when Tim is 17 (and also loses the Robin title). Dick having gone through his big growing up moment before he entered legal adulthood makes the way the same mistake echoes down over the years more poignant (everyone has to grow up too young). I also would really like Dick to have finished his high school education before he becomes Nightwing simply because it makes a more coherent growing up narrative (and figuring out how Dick finished his education if he was living in New York is a headache we can then avoid).
In any case. Dick’s had his fight with Bruce. Call it June-July. Bruce, feeling lonely, decides the next sad teenager he meets who is trying to steal his tires is a great prospect to be the next Robin (son). Hello Jason. Jason is also 13. He is about to turn 14 the first moment possible. His birthday is apparently 16 August, which works really well for the fight going down right after Dick finishes school. Bruce makes Jason Robin. We are now on a hurried countdown. Jason turns 14. He was Robin from 1983-1988, which is right on 5 years, so approximately 1 comic year. Jason canonically dies on 27 April according to one picture of his tombstone. This would make him 14-nearly-15. This works great for October Birthday Dick and terrible for March Birthday Dick. If we have October Birthday Dick, Jason was around for ~10 months before he dies in April. If we have March Birthday Dick, Jason was around for anywhere between 7 months (Dick fired at 18 in June, Jason dies around January the next year) and a year (Dick fired before March still 17, Jason appears immediately after, and again dies around January/February the next year) while we ignore that April death date.
This works well on a meta level. One, there’s simply not that many Jason-as-Robin stories. Every time people stretch his period from Batmobile-tyres-to-death out beyond 20 months or so, you start hitting the point where you have more timeline than story to fill it, a problem seen practically nowhere else in comics. Jason has been cited as having 6 months of training before he went out on the streets. You can keep all of this if you want a very short period with Jason in the costume, you can call this comics time and shorten it if you’d prefer Jason to have longer in the costume. But Jason-as-Robin only lasting under a year lines up with everything about how we approximate the passage of time in comics. Secondly, Jason being Robin for only a short period matches the fact that he has very few interactions with Dick and the wider hero community. He has, what, ONE team up with the Titans? The one ski trip with Dick? Checking the Events timeline he had COIE (which he doesn’t remember), plus Legends and Millennium, for 3 Events during his tenure. He appears on page for all of these, but not in a manner where he’s interacting with heroes outside Gotham in any way he’d remember. He’s pretty isolated, but also there really isn’t any TIME to give him wider connections.
Also during this period, the majority of the NTT stuff prior to LPoD occurs, and Dick hypothetically does his single semester at university before dropping out (probably due to the amount of stuff going on in his life making studying hard). He may even have dropped out of university DUE to the drama surrounding all of this depending on which birthday timeline you run with. Tim is a lil bean at boarding school.
In any case, Jason Todd died. He wasn’t even 15 yet. It’s very tragic. Bruce immediately starts going off the rails with grief. October Birthday Dick (seriously, this just suits the timeframe here so much better) then gives us anywhere between 3-6 months of Bruce grieving and getting steadily more unstable before 13 year old Tim Drake decides Something Must Be Done, We Need A Robin. He then heads off to find Dick Grayson at any point between July and October, make this gap however long-short you want. March Birthday Dick we probably cram death-until-realisation into under 2 months, but we’re working with even more of a sliding scale given it’s just harder to anchor known stuff in this timeline.
Ta da!
Conclusions:
if I want this to work I am gonna run with the 24 October birthday for Dick, just because it makes pinning dates down easier. Sorry, 20 March birthday fans.
Ages: Tim is either 5 years, 4 months or 5 years, 8 months younger than Dick. Tim is 23 months younger than Jason. Jason is either 3 years, 3 months or 3 years, 7 months younger than Dick.
Cass is 2 years, 6 months older than Tim. She is 5 months older than Jason. She is either 2 years, 10 months or 3 years, 2 months younger than Dick.
Steph is about a year older than Tim and about a year younger than Cass.
Damian, who is extremely indirectly affected by anything in this timeline, is 6-7 years younger than Tim and 12 years younger than Dick. He was definitely conceived while Dick was Robin.
Incidentally: Tim figuring out Dick is Robin happens when he is 9. With this timeline, Dick was 14-15 when Tim worked that out. Tim therefore spent at LEAST two years fanboying Dick!Robin, and then saw Jason!Robin for at most a year, realistically closer to 6 months. “Jason was my Robin” doesn’t exist
(Also tragically for me, The ‘Tim is 3’ reading of the circus means that Tim was definitely born prior to Bruce’s return to Gotham. There’s this lovely little wrinkle that if you use a timeline where he’s 2 at the circus, he was probably born right around when Bruce debuted at Batman, which is just a sweet little note for a character so tied to other people’s origin stories)
(Seriously though if you allow Dick be 10 when he is orphaned, it lets him be Robin until 18-19, he can turn 20 before Jason’s death, frees up so much timeline kludging around the Jason period, even if it does create a bigger age gap between Dick and Tim)

Why I think Katsuki has BPD
(As a katsuki kinnie with BPD)
Tumblr media
Disclaimers:
I'm not saying he definitively has it, just that I headcanon him to have it.
I'm also not a licensed professional or even educated on this topic, I just have it myself and am loosely going off how the symptoms are defined in the DSM V.
BPD is a disorder that can only be diagnosed when someone is 18 or older. Currently, Katsuki is 17, nearly 18, and a requirement of BPD is for the symptoms to be present since the age of 15 (how old Katsuki is at the start of BNHA) so I'm still gonna make this anyways lol.
Manga screenshots are backwards (ie p22 on the left p23 on the right)
This not only includes things from BNHA but also the movies and BNHA Team Up Missions
1) Inappropriate, intense anger or difficulty controlling anger (e.g., frequent displays of temper, constant anger, recurrent physical fights).
Do I even need to give proof for this one? Katsuki's temper and habit of getting into fights is a defining trait of his character and has been throughout the entire series.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2) Transient, stress-related paranoid ideation or severe dissociative symptoms.
Paranoid ideation is characterized by someone having a persistent suspicion and distrust of people around them. People experiencing paranoid ideation might believe that others are trying to harm them or treat them unfairly, even when there's no evidence to support this. While Katsuki exhibits this towards ALOT of people, especally if he intimidated by them, Deku is the one he exhibits it most to.
The reason Katsuki bullied Deku is because he believed it to be mutual. He felt an inferiority to Deku, depite the fact that he was quirkless, and began to develop an inferiority complex, but also a superiority complex, only focusing on Deku’s flaws as a way to cope with that inferiority complex.
He believed that Deku was being condescending towards him and was trying to goad him into losing his temper, angering him more since it felt like Deku knew he was better than him. Later he believes he’s been pretending to not have a quirk so he could purposely embarrass him in UA, believing that he’s finding sadistic enjoyment in Katsuki’s difficulty adjusting to UA and confusion over his quirk and their relationship. That deku was manipulating Katsuki to believe he didn’t have a quirk for 10 years, and he never realised.
Tumblr media
Katsuki also prefers to act alone because he hates the idea of being protected or having to rely on other people to assist him. He's got better as the series has progressed and he's gotten to know his classmates, acknowledging the importance of working with others every now and then but he still prefers to be the leader of said group, protecting them from harm while expecting them to do the same for him in return.
3) Identity disturbance: markedly and persistently unstable self-image or sense of self.
Katsuki looks up to All Might and has aspired to be like him ever since he was a child, but outside of that he doesnt really have any sense of who he is or what he wants to be. This is best shown when he notices how close All Might and Deku are and this one assumption makes him question the thing hes been so passionately working for, for years.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
On top of this has both a superiority complex as well as an inferiority complex and seems to gauge his identity based of the people around him. He often avoids thinking about himself and instead focuses on the people around him (i.e. "instead of thinking about how good or bad I am at this thing, I'll think about how good or bad this person is".)
An example of this is how Katsuki would try to believe that Deku was nothing because he didn't want to accept that he wasn't living up to his unreasonably high expectations of himself. Being forced to confront this at UA was what caused his superiority/inferiority complex to get worse.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4) A pattern of unstable and intense interpersonal relationships characterized by alternating between extremes of idealization and devaluation.
Black-And-White thinking is the simplest phase to use for this and an opinion about a person can go from "white" to "black" over barely anything. Again, Izuku is a perfect example of this. Katsuki and Izuku where best friends as kids but after his quirk didn't form and the infamous lake scene happened, he misinterpreted Deku's care as condescension and it turned into genuine hatred that lasted years.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then after years of hatred, he has one "conversation" with him, talking things out, and they become best friends again, so much so that he risks his life on multiple occasions trying to protect him. Katsuki even risks his own health seeing if Izuku is okay when he breaks his arms. Risking his health to protect Izuku eventually gets to the point where he ends up killing himself in the war arc to do so. Even when he gets brought back to life, awakened from his coma, he risks his health to see if Izuku is okay.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the latest chapter he's the only 1-A (Now 2-A) classmate that visits him in the hospital. When he finds out he'll never fully recover from his injuries and has potentially permanently lost an arm, he's more annoyed if anything, but when he finds out Izuku's lost his quirk, he breaks down crying, again blaming himself for Deku's injuries. All of this even though, only a few months ago, he hated his guts.
Tumblr media
5) Affective instability due to a marked reactivity of mood (e.g., intense episodic dysphoria, irritability or anxiety usually lasting a few hours and only rarely more than a few days).
Affective instability is defined as repeated, rapid, and abrupt shifts in mood and while Katsuki has always been very emotionally driven, this is more accurate to Katsuki post kidnapping arc and especially him post war arc.
An example is in his fight with Deku, after All Mights near death, his mood rapidly shifts from non-verbal annoyance, to angry name calling to tearful venting throughout the entire fight, with Izuku's efforts to calm him down seemingly making him more erratic.
Tumblr media
Frantic efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment.
As mentioned in the previous page, Katsuki got insecure and jealous of Izuku because All Might was paying attention to Deku's progress and "wasn't paying attention" to Katsuki's progress. This actually gets called out by All Might himself in chapter 62. He tries to get rid of Deku and frantically tries to beat All Might on his own to get back his approval, confusing Izuku and All Might who don't understand why he's so upset.
Tumblr media
Impulsivity in areas that are potentially self-damaging.
Katsuki is extremely impulsive and gets the "consequences" for it all the time. I'll use getting into dangerous fights as an example.
In the World Heroes' Mission movie, Katsuki fights the Serpenters Twins, Ena and Dio. Katsuki fights them on his own and ends up getting mercilessly shredded apart. Even though he won in the end, he was injured to an insane amount. His entire body is torn apart and he's bleeding out of one of his eyes, but he only cares about how he won.
Tumblr media
Recurrent suicidal behaviour, gestures or threats, or self-mutilating behaviour.
Katsuki throws himself into danger, not caring about how much he hurt so maybe you can call that recurrent suicidal behaviour? However, I'd rather focus on something else. This is something I don't really see people talk about much but Katsuki "trains" when he's stressed out. While it's not talked about much, excessively working out can be considered NSSI aka Nonsuicidal Self-Injury and while not suicidal, it's still self harm and considered self-mutilating behaviour.
The following aren't symptoms of BPD but are still relevant.
Difficulty managing/talking about/explaining emotions and struggles
Most people with BPD struggle to vocalise and put into words what's upsetting them and even may not understand what is making them feel like that, especially men since the fear of venting could be greater than a woman's due to societies expectations of men and vulnerability.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Small friend circles/habit of isolation
Due to difficulties socially, many people with BPD will fixate on certain people and ignore others, sometimes even isolating themselves completely. While this was sort of hinted before the kidnapping arc (Katsuki being rude to every one other that Ejiro and maybe Denki and only paying attention to them, Izuku and Shoto.) afterwards, he moved in with the other 1-A classmates and all of them reiterate on multiple occasions that theyre worried about how Katsuki never leaves his room.
Yeah, sure, you could chock this up to the fact that he's coping with the trauma of getting kidnapped and watching his idol "die" days before, but even after he "gets over" that, he's still as quiet as introverted as before
Maybe even more so, since after he and Izuku became friends, he would stay with him and would rarely be seen with other characters without Izuku also being there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Questionable Childhood
Its made very clear in the series that Katsuki and his mother are very similar an he treats the people around him the same way his mother treats him. Aka, Katsuki was abused as a child by his mother and abuses others because he doesn't understand that his mother is abusive and not just angry at him.
This environment growing up is why he acts the way he does (at least personality wise) and while his mother very obviously cares about him (post war arc is proof of that), she doesn't hesitate to hit him, berate him and victim-blame him, even in front of his teachers.
Tumblr media
Also in chapter 165, when trying to teach children to help get his license, Katsuki recommends beating the kids and accidentally confesses to the team that happened to him as a kid and it must fine because of the "My parents did that to me and I turned out fine." mentality he has.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While this is proof that she treats him like this normally, its also completely possible that his home life could be even worse than what's been shown to us, especially because he seemingly doesn't know what happened to him was wrong.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
BPD is a disorder that is formed due the environment someone grows up in and in up to 90% of BPD cases, the source is associated with abuse. You're also more likely to get a diagnosis of BPD if someone in your close family has it. This suggests that even if she isn't being abusive towards him, his similarity to her could be that he inherited a personality disorder she has.
Another thing to add to this point is that bullying is also a cause of BPD and while most people don't talk about it, Katsuki used to get picked on by classmates and older kids because of his quirk.
Tumblr media
PTSD/C-PTSD
This might sound weird at first but hear me out! Katsuki has PTSD/C-PTSD from the sludge monster incident and his home life (pre 15). Post 15, he also has trauma from being kidnapped and witnessing the near death of his idol (which he blames himself for). This all makes sense if he has BPD, because not only is BPD usually caused by trauma (like PTSD) but a study showed that Borderline personality disorder and complex post-traumatic stress disorder are commonly found together, with between 25% and 60% of people with BPD also have C-PTSD.
Self-blame
When someone close to Katsuki gets hurt or when something he's involved in goes wrong, his first instinct is to blame himself. He blames himself for the sludge monster incident, he blames himself for being kidnapped by the LOV, he blames himself for All Might's near death, he blames himself for Deku being quirkless. All of this when in all these situations, he was innocent or worse, the victim.
Even when it comes to his upbringing, when he finds out Shoto got beat as a kid, he gets worried about him and asks if he's okay, but when he talks about him getting beat as a kid and shoto shows the same concern, he immediately dismisses it because he "turned out fine".
Self blame is very common for people with BPD. It’s usually used as a defence mechanism and is a common response to having a traumatic experience. This is especially true even when the traumatic event occurs through no fault of the victim, as it allows them to feel that they have control over everything that happens to them.
Self-blame can grow into low self-esteem and even self-hate, which could be the case because of how much Katsuki has been apologizing to Izuku in recent chapters and how much he feels in debt to him because of how badly he treated him. It's understandable since he bullied him for a reason he now understands was wrong, but even then it was all over a misunderstanding and he did his best to make it up to him afterwards.

Child's Play Alt AU
Watched Child's Play, so heres my alternate AU because this episode hurts my feelings >:,(
Alright, so instead of pushing the whole "age up Lloyd because he's losing his childhood anyways" vibe, we're making it "Lloyd's still a kid, let him live his fucking life instead of having him train 24/fucking 7".
Here's my thought process on how Child's Play will go:
Ninja go smol
They find Lloyd
Instead of immediately finding out about the Grundal, they fuck around and be kids
Near dusk, they spot the Grundal
They go to Mother Doomsday, the whole competition and Grundal fight happens
Right before Nya and Wu show up, the Ninja draw the Grundal away from Lloyd
They fucking apologise for forcing Lloyd to act older than his actual age as they think the Grundal's about to eat them
Wu and Nya show up, chuck Tomorrow's Tea at the Ninja, and everything's back to normal
They go back to the Bounty and hang out with Lloyd as he reads the latest issue of the Starfarer comic series
Now for how this will affect the rest of the show:
For the rest of Season 2, we'll see Lloyd relaxing a bit more, and the Ninja spending more quality time with him. Because I am a firm believer that Misako should've apologized along with explaining herself, she apologizes to Lloyd, who is more skeptical than in canon, although he accepts. Other than Lloyd being less comfortable with Misako's physical affection and not calling her mom, the season progresses the same.
In Season 3, Lloyd won't be paraded around like a celebrity, but instead he'll be at Sensei Garmadon's monastery, helping out with training and demonstrations. Wu's academy will not happen, instead the Ninja will be paraded around like celebrities, although bugged a lot about when the Gold Ninja will show up for an interview. The season progresses the same, but the love triangle will not happen, but instead I'll create a different conflict.
In Season 4, we have a few year time skip, accentuated by Lloyd looking older (how he looks S2 - S7), and the Ninja looking a little different. Cole gets longer hair, Kai gets longer hair, Jay stops straightening his hair (shown by a straightener being in his bathroom) and later on stops using makeup to cover his freckles (short clip of him using a makeup wipe to remove the concealer), Nya gets longer hair (but no ponytail. I'm anti-Nya's ponytail. It's more like a half-up half-down), and they all get their new outfits. Everything else in the season is generally the same.
In Season 5, it generally progresses the same way. We see some of the possession from Lloyd's point of view. We get a lot more verbal conflict. Misako and Wu get confrontations with possessed!Lloyd. More of Kai and Lloyd's relationship is shown. More of the parallels between Kai, Lloyd, and Morro are utilized. Kai also gets his eyebrow scar from Morro. Morro manages to escape the Preeminent, freeing Lloyd and Garmadon from the realm he was trapped in before leaving the Realm Crystal with them and flying off.
In Season 6... * clicking noises, hmms, and strutinizing faces ensue * yeah, scratch that. Instead of Season 6, we're actually just gonna have a "special" of sorts, where it's all actually from Nya's perspective as she slowly builds up rage from the bullshit that is sexist media, until she explodes and unloads all of it onto the Ninja, where they decide "yeah, this has been getting too much" (Lloyd's being constantly overwhelmed by interviewers and paparazzi, Jay and Cole are still being bugged about the love triangle even though they've said many times that it was resolved, Zane has had too many creepy encounters with obsessed fans, and Kai... actually, Kai's been loving it and the Ninja are 0.002 seconds away from banning his Chirp account). So, they rebuild the monastery instead of doing it in Season 10.
Day of the Departed progresses the same, but instead Morro shows up with the help of Nelson (‼️ my boy) to sorta save Cole, but ends up getting revived as well. He fucks off again. Cole is rightfully confused. It will feel somewhat ooc for Morro, and that is the point. I might explain this in a spin-off fic.
In Season 7, Krux and Acronix get sorta "controlled" by their power, a reference to Wu's line in Season 2 to Lloyd where he's all "Learn to control your powers before they control you". They want complete control over time and to basically merge with time itself (foreshadowing to Season 14, perhaps?). Also, the title of Sensei is not forced onto Lloyd, but instead Cole starts stepping up more as leader and sort of teacher. Other than that, the Season progresses the same.
In Season 8, we get to see what Garmadon's been up to, which is just training kids ike he was in Season 3. Lloyd is visiting. They end up talking about how Wu might actually be gone, and what the Ninja would do after that. The Ninja also meet up, and there is a brief mention of Nya and Kai spending time with their parents. The season progresses the same storyline of Harumi's manipulation, but Lloyd's actually a bit suspicious of her. He doesn't remove the mask from its pedestal, and the fight ends with Harumi knocking Lloyd into the pedestal which knocks the mask off, then she grabs it and scampers off like the morally grey little shit girlboss she is. She doesn't kidnap Misako, but rather imprisons her after she tries to get Garmadon back, who Harumi actually kidnapped. Instead of resurrecting Garmadon, she brings out his Oni side using the masks, making him lose control.
He can't feel any positive feelings, and only has the urge to destroy. Lloyd confuses Garmadon, because he feels nothing towards his son, so he just wants to destroy him. Harumi and feral Garmadon (that's what I'm calling him) take over Ninjago City, Lloyd loses his powers, and the Ninja are sent to the First Realm. Yay! Also, feral Garmadon is essentially Emperor Garmadon, but more animalistic and doesn't disown his son. He can talk though.
In Season 9, it's basically the same thing, but it's more focused on Lloyd learning to trust himself, his judgement, and his leadership. Morro is there and... kinda helps?? Idk, he kinda redeems himself. Also, Maya and Ray are there because they were coming to surprise visit. Yes, this means Ray-Maya-Morro dynamics, and Ray and Maya interact with their daughter. In the end, Mystake fucking drags Garmadon instead of dying, and they lock Garmadon up until they can find a way to revert him back. Garmadon does not give a cryptic warning.
Season 10 does not happen. Idk what you expected.
Season 11 happens, but without the "Ninja slacking off for months" schtick, because it felt like a copy-paste of Season 1. Instead, they're searching for ways to turn Garmadon back, and hear about this super powerful sorceress from ancient Ninjago times, aka Aspheera. Also, Aspheera never tries to overthrow the throne, Wu simply teaches her Spinjitzu, but FSM finds out and just fucking buries and seals her. That's why he's the Deceiver. Other than that, the season progresses the same.
Season 12 is all the same, but Lloyd has better design choices. Also, Morro's there in the background bc I said so.
Season 13 is all the same. I love this DnD campaign season.
I might slap a oneshot series here (chronologically, will not be a part of the actual fic itself) about the journeys the Ninja go (haha, Ninjago) on between S13 and S14.
Season 14 is the same, but Maya brings Morro along to the monastery as well. Sorry Nya, you're merging with the ocean.
Season 15 is probably going to be rewritten. I'll publish another post and link it here once I watch S15 and write it in this AU.
Btw, I'm calling this my Never Grow Old AU

tell us more about middle aged thomastair lol
Thank you for this opportunity to completely shamelessly indulge in some of my favourite headcanons, lol. First, if you want to read about Thomastair at several stages of their lives, might I offer my fic A Ribbon of Dream up as an offering? Canon-compliant, pure fluff, checks up with them at random intervals of their life until they're 70.
As you can probably tell from that, I think they will always be film junkies.
I think that they retire around 40 since that seems to be the age that most Shadowhunters stop battling demons outside of emergency situations. (Of course, they'll dispatch of any demon in their paths - but they'll be off the front lines and patrol sheets then. Wouldn't want to blow their backs out.)
One of my favourite headcanons (that might turn into an eventual fic) is that they just totally vanish for a year. Tell everyone they're retiring and going on a trip. Totally drop off the map for 52 weeks and commune with the wider world. They travel to various places and see lots of cool things, and some of it's super weird and rural. Introvert heaven. They basically are like "people? nope" and go on this big romantic retirement trip. Come back a year later. Thomas has a mustache.
Throughout their lives, I think that Thomas and Alastair adopt and love many, many pets. Mostly hedgehogs and cats, but maybe a couple of dogs thrown in there because we see that they like them. I prefer the idea of childfree Thomastair to alternatives, but if they adopt a kid it'll be some abuse survivor that they rescue from a bad situation. Just couldn't turn their backs on the kid. But I prefer them childfree and write them as such.
I like to think that they become extremely close with Matthew and his family. In most of my post-canon headcanons, Matthew and his partner are best friends with Thomas and Alastair as the group dynamics shift post-TLH. This is definitely self-indulgence, but I stand by it as the healthiest and best avenue for all the characters to take. So, like, Old Guy Matthew fucks around with Old Guys Thomas and Alastair all the time. 10/10 the future I want to see.
Thomas gets salt-and-pepper hair when he's about 30. He looks older than he is quickly - you can see this starting even in ChoT when he gets wrinkles at 18-19. Alastair thinks it's sexy but also teases him a lot because he has beautiful lush perfect black hair. The day he gets his first gray hair at about 45, he's super dramatic about it and screaming at Thomas from the bathroom about his lost youth. Thomas makes fun of him for sounding like Matthew.
They live in the Cornwall Gardens house until they're around 60. But they travel a lot and aren't always there.
I like to think that they eventually retire to Paris at about 60. You can see this in A Ribbon of Dream's final chapter. They get a nice flat overlooking the Champs Elysses stuffed with books. They stargaze on their roof.
I've mapped these guys' whole lives out. In my headcanon, they do that thing some married couples do at about 85 and die at the same time in each other's arms at night.

Napoleon Review
A look at the military commander's origins and his swift, ruthless climb to emperor, viewed through the prism of his addictive and often volatile relationship with his wife and one true love, Josephine.
I have been waiting since January of this year to talk about Ridley Scott, Napoleon, a biopic about the notorious French emperor who almost brought Europe to its knees. Outside of some alternate takes and different editing, it was relatively the same film.  This did not surprise me, as I could not see what changes they could have made outside of adding 10+ hours of footage and turning it into a miniseries.
Napoleon is Ridley Scott at his best and worst. At 85 years old, Scott still knows how to make a stunning historical epic. The sweeping battles of the Napoleonic Wars are enthralling to watch on the big screen and are worth the price of admission alone. However, once the film gets outside of the battles you have a mess of a story that is riddled with all the standard issues of a biopic. Too much story to tell and not enough time to do it justice.
Napoleon’s life simply can not be compressed into 2.5 hours as it is far too vast and complicated. Because of this problem, the film either glosses over or boils many of his greatest victories and defeats into simple, one-sentence summaries. I wanted to see how Napoleon ticked and how his relationships between his military cabinet, politicians, and the public changed throughout the Napoleonic Wars. How did Napoleon brew up his military strategies and what led him to war? These elements and many more are never explored outside of a sentence stated here and there. Thus creating an uneven film.
However, the most disappointing element of the film was the short Frenchman himself. I understand this take on Napoleon was meant to tear down the mythological militant commander and show his true petty and egotistical colors. But I believe Scott takes this deconstruction too far as it makes you wonder how a pathetic manchild almost conquered all of Europe. The film forgets that Napoleon was a brilliant military strategist and a charismatic leader. They show these characteristics from time to time, but when he is a buffoon for the majority of it, it is hard to take him seriously.
I am unable to tell if this was due to the writing, acting, or both. The writing was obviously off, but I can’t help but think Joaquin Phoenix was miscast. He does a fantastic job with the material he is given, especially showing the Napoleon Complex, but he doesn’t feel like Napoleon. He comes across as a pathetic manchild rather than a brilliant military commander who has an ego problem. Sadly, the same can also be stated with Vanessa Kirby as Josephine. Her performance is outstanding, but she does feel miscast as the film greatly misunderstands the divorce between Josephine and Napoleon. If you were unaware, Josephine was 6 years older than Napoleon. So they either needed to age Kirby, like they did with Phoenix, or cast an actress who is a similar age to Phoenix. They divorced not because she couldn’t have children, but because she couldn't have children anymore. She was 54 when their marriage ended, meaning that her childbearing days were long gone. Gone even before Napoleon became emperor. So to cast a 35-year-old Vanessa Kirby as a post-menopausal woman is an insult to many middle-aged actresses in Hollywood who could have shown how tragic their divorce was.
With those complaints stated Napoleon is still a very entertaining film. As previously stated the battle scenes are spectacular to watch and are worth the price of admission alone. The film is surprisingly funny with slapstick humor and some funny quotes, even when it's unintentional. I look forward to the 4.5-hour director cut as it will most likely alleviate some of the complaints that I have with the theatrical cut. However, even 4.5 hours does not feel like enough time to do Napoleon's life justice.
My Rating: B-

If I can add a head canon here’s one. Barbara sounds violently Scottish.
Like imagine this voice coming out of her:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=XrnZJamzF5g&pp=ygUYbWVyaWRhIHdyZWNrIGl0IHJhbHBoIDIg
SO TRUE
on topic of barbara
i know rayman legends takes place 100 years later or something, and as comical as sleeping for 100 years is, globox has like......children, so i feel like sleeping for 100 years is not in his available activties unless they age super fast like jake the dogs kids from adventure time
but also going thru paintings to get to the levels that take place during medivel times also just feels like ur going back in time anywyas, but. but picture this for the sake of funny forest creature child rayman, just a hypothetical . like an alternate universe .
so rayman, barbara and globox are all in like the same or neighboring generations (globox is probs older by 5-10 years or smth) but . so barbara as a child she is doing something in the forest, like messing around with her axe, like it was just her and sisters 5th birthday and she got the best present ever because thier kingdom is being attacked by dragons and shes so excited to beat the shit out of them with her axe, but then she sees this weird looking thing peeping out of the bushes and its little tiny rayman staring at her with stupid ass stare he does and she walks up to him so intruieged by him because "wow what a weird looking cat, what is this thing" and then without saying a word he just leaves. like he just walks away, and barbara is so "!?" and she goes to follow him but hes GONE hes a master at hide and seek (proven by his skills in rayman activtey center)
and THAT is her first impression of him, and after that he'd just show up randomly, hes like the weird whimiscal kid that lives in the forest and no one knows where the fuck he came from
i think rayman and globox owuld have met in a simular fashion except he came to where globox lives for the soul purpose of eating, and his stomach is like a black hole and him and globox bonded over eating and being stupid together and eventually globox and barbara would meet through rayman somehow
i also want to somehow incorprate ly into this but shes probaly also a weird looking cat that lives in the forest so i think they would run into each other one day and kids and and just sniff each other
i wanna like.....make an ultiment au of just combining all the thigns i like about the rayman games into one cohesive story

OKAY, this is a long one but I've been mentally playing around with another absolutely ridiculous AU that would ruin the timeline and makes no sense! BUT! I think it's also a fun way to play with the characters so I thought you might like it. Let me know where any of my thoughts here go wrong but here it is:
This all started on two things I remember:
At some point way back, you said tribute!Joseph would be an Adessa boy (your mind, I love it)
In the injured Creed AU, I noticed when Alec was in full Callista-tribute mode, all vicious and predatory, both Creed and Joseph thought he reminded them of Adora which made me think as a trainee Adora must have been at least a little bit feral
So a few notes of what I imagined this might look like:
Joseph and Adora are back-to-back victors (I aged Adora up a year because I didn’t think it would affect too much)
Adora wins a year earlier so when Joseph wins she sees him as The Village Baby ™ at first even though he thinks she’s ~pretty~. This is simply because I enjoy laughing at Joseph.
Adora, I think, is mentored either by Hera (if you’re willing to also push her age up) or Caius otherwise. This is purely vibes-based.
As I already wrote, Joseph is mentored by Adessa
TBH I think as a mentor-victor pair, Joseph+Adessa  would have a lot fewer problems than Nero+Adessa
Adora mentors Callista, which is deeply funny to me lol good luck
For Victor!Joseph, I grapple with what to do with him. Does he get a victor? Who?
It would be fun to have Adessa pull Nero later but leave Joseph as one of the first to never bring one home. Joseph grappling with that sense of ~faliure~ would be fun to play with + seeing him as Nero’s older victor brother would be deeply funny. Have fun getting buried under a very large, sweater-wearing, cuddle puddle!
Alternatively, Joseph mentors Nero. Both because this plays off Adora and Calli but also, it makes things so interesting to me
Weirdly,  I feel like Joseph is probably better with Nero’s touchiness than Adessa? He’s not cuddly by any means but to me, he’s also never seemed touch-averse? Anyways maybe here Nero gets A Hug more often once it becomes clear he needs one. It does make me a bit sad because I love Adessa + Nero mentor moments.
The big thing that makes this so interesting for me is to see Joseph grapple with his sense of Loyalty and Duty when Nero’s deal gets struck. Like Adessa, he’d be devastated but now you've got the added issue of having his entire worldview/purpose getting thrown in his face
Maybe we don’t get an…entirely loyal Joseph here, at least not to the president.  I imagine that much like Adessa he fantasizes about the things he could do to Snow’s kidneys if he got the chance but alas, district and country before self
Also on a lighter note, it’s 10/10 funny to have Joseph accidentally being the baffled start of the absolutely feral Nero line
All of this may culminate in a crack fic when poor grandpa mentor Joseph gets saddled watching a fresh-out Misha because again, I like bullying him.
Entirely unimportant note, in any Frigga AU I get intense vibes that she could be a Joseph tribute for zero reasons.  This would also probably go better for everyone because say what you will about him (and there are many, many things), when Frigga makes the same offer as she did with Odin the only reaction I can get from Joseph is “Oh Dear™ N O  thank you”
One more thing, I could be entirely wrong here but I wonder:
I feel like both Joseph and Adora are more adjusted in this universe. They would have arena trauma like the other victors but nothing like Joseph’s residential thing + all those years in the force. Here they also have mentors + support + therapy and I imagine they’re better off for it?
Maybe (?) they’d have a chance to be decent parents here? Could be wrong but I feel like a big majority of their Issues, at least in THG universe, stem from a combination of intense trauma with no therapy or support + all the things they witnessed in the peace force of a totalitarian murder government. I don’t think they’d ever be… amazing parents but maybe also not bad ones either? IDK I’d at least like a universe where Alec and Creed get a slightly healthy time.
this is incredible and I want it to exist so bad
i'm only vaguely coherent today so here are some point-form thoughts:
every time I think I have made a decision on Joseph as Nero's mentor or mentor sibling I change my mind AGAIN because they're both so fun thematically and provide different opportunities so I really will have to think about it
Joseph as Frigga's mentor MUST happen because honestly "oh dear. no thank you" has made me laugh for two days
I agree that any universe with Victor Joseph & Adora automatically creates a better parenting environment (sad but true) and I do think a double universe would do the same
everything about Joseph's loyalty is fascinating (I've played with it a bit in a Victor Joseph AU where the powers that be demand Creed as a volunteer after everything he tries to do to keep him out) and I love it, I want to see more of this
the one thing I've been rolling around in my brain is that I don't ... think ... Adora would mentor? I think she'd go back to the Centre (like Frigga in the AU) and work with the Residential kids, help prepare them as much as possible
also re: bb Adora, I think her thing was less out-of-control wild and more ........ ruthless? she saw what she wanted and she went for it, which is what Alec managed to unlock in the Injured Creed AU and Callista highly encouraged before the Arena
so Arena-Adora would have been the same, she's got that sort of wicked charm at first but the longer the Games went on the more the smooth edges start filing away to get to the feral underneath
Joseph would definitely think she's out of his league which I find VERY funny (I also like to bully him)

Tw: Possibly Delusional Behaviours in a loved one
(I need help figuring out my next steps)
Right. how do I start.
I'm dating this guy. he's a couple of years older than me, and we hit things off pretty quickly. we were friends for about 8-10 months before we started dating a month ago. while we were friends, he (Liam, we will call him Liam for this story) would say things that don't quite add up normally. it started somewhat in the normal realm of possibility. one night, we stayed up late talking and he said something about "opening his Eye" (capitalized, too) and seeing something "unsettling" and therefore not sleeping for the night. I assumed he meant. you know. his eyes. the ones on your face, under your eyebrows and on either side of your nose. but No. he meant his third eye.
uh. ok then.
I assume he's just spiritual, or subscribes to a religion that I don't know much of. normal stuff, right? I'm not religious or anything, so I kinda brush it off and say "yeah haha, are you big on meditation? I never could figure it out", attempting small talk. he then divulges in me that no, it's not a religious thing. this is "traveling to an alternate dimension" thing.
Um. What.
now I'm thinking "oh god, he's one of those Shifters from TikTok. how do I handle this". so I kinda awkwardly ask him about it, like, "oh yeah haha. what? where do you go?" and his dead ass response is "this place called the Other side"
..........uhm.
so now I'm worrying. what is this guy on. the other side???? what the fuck is that? but then he elaborates, saying things like "yeah, it's almost a copy of our earth, but it's all greyed out. and there are alternate versions of me and Smith (his friend, and apparent accomplice/ prophesized teammate to save the world. I'm using a fake name to protect his privacy) are there, and a version of me owns a bar in the Other side. there are lots of Smiths in there, they're surprisingly common"
........ how do I tell him that there's no way this is real
and he just. keeps going. I ask clarifying questions and I'm just thinking about how crazy of a story this would make in a book. until Liam drops this bomb: "me and Smith are supposed to work together to save our Earth. our alternate versions of ourselves have failed countless times, loosing their earths to (name of big bad I have since forgotten. we shall call him "the dark one" for the purpose of this story) The Dark One. but here's the kicker, me and Smith have no idea when The Dark One will attack our earth"
I. how do I respond.
I say something like "oh. damn. that is. alot of responsibility for a couple of. not even 20-year olds" (ohH I'm dropping my approximate age.)
and he just, meets me there. "yeah, it is a lot of stress. and I can't talk to anyone about it because they think I'm crazy, but I know I'm not because other people have seen the same things I have."
and. I just. I don't know how to handle that.
we are dating now, I thought that hey, what's the worst that can happen? I know Smith, but not well. but I can ask Smith about this, because I have seen him text Liam, and Liam has texted Smith about this and sent audio messages while I was in the car with him. the audio message Liam recorded today has a blip in it where I was talking to him. Smith knows it's me.
today Liam told me that he thinks he and I are soulmates. like. real soulmates. and I just, don't know how to respond. he's low-key freaking me out. I'm planning on asking Smith, but I have no idea if Smith will tell me anything.
anyways. please. this is a call for help. what is going on. is this real. am I involved with someone who is experiencing delusions. god I hope not.

Character option bingo
Might as well ask for the full super sons
Jon kent
Tumblr media
@camo-wolf
Yesss! Jonno boy to complete it!✨
I am so normal about them:
He is also very much a character that I can't stop talking about when speaking to my sister (°¬°), he's also one of the one's that I just end up doodling and drawing all over my sketchbook because I love him so much (same with Damian)
I have so many headcanons about them:
Jon is one of those character that I need to make headcanons about because he's the type that I can just add so much to
A beast unleashed:
Jonny is a very tamed boy, yes, he definitely is, but once someone like Damian drags him into some wild shenanigans with them, then he too can become just as chaotic, though he still has his limits when unleashed
I literally would hug them:
I would just give him the biggest hug ever (I wouldn't do it to Damian though because then he would bite me...)
Canon isn't real if I don't look at it:
I don't like that DC forced Jon to age up instead of letting him grow and develop as a young character with his family and friends there to support him every step of the way and letting the fans get to do the same with him as well, letting them get the chance to grow with him more as well instead of just rushing it all and then just trying to throw him in as the "New" Superman, like I don't even feel ready to just be calling him the "New" Superman right now since I still see him as Superboy, like I always had thought that maybe one day when I got much older, then maybe I would actually see him being Superman or something else as a grown character with actual development, not right now in such a rush like how it was done
They sure do exist:
Canon what? I am sorry but Jon is still just only 10 years old, still enjoying his childhood life and is still happily living with his loving family, Clark, Lois, and Krypto and is still very close with his best friend Damian, so I do not know what you are talking about when you speak of this alternate story with an unnatural aged up Jon who just got lost in space and came back and became the new Superman, I am sorry but I just do not understand no matter how many times you tell me about it
That's a solid design right there:
Jon's outfit is a fun and cool one that also fits his style
If anything happens to them I will cry:
Kid!Jon is my sweet, innocent, fluffy boy that means no harm at all💗 so no one hurt him, please
Thanks for the ask! :D

This is a continuation of my discussion of my “compressing the time between Leif getting stuck in snakemouth and the start of the game down to like 10 years so Muse can be around” au that I started over on @enbeemerang’s post. But I didn’t want to take that space up more than I already have lol
So in canon stuff I tend to go with Grandpa being Leif and Muse’s kid, so that would also be the case here. Which if I was writing something of this would mean I’d have to come up with a name for him. so. glad I’m not. But I’d put him in Tod’s spot because 1) he’s about that age and 2) Leif’s “Now, stay out of trouble. Don't worry your mother.” line after the lost toy quest already gets me in the context of his relationship with Tod in canon. Imagining him doing that kind of parental lecture towards a kid he has yet to realize is his own child makes me insane. (also makes for an amusing moment after the initial revelation stuff)
or there’s the alternate version of that quest (that would only happen in iterations where Muse is banished) where instead of running from the Midges he gets stuck in the cave. Team Snakemouth gets recruited to the search mission secondhand. Kid’s pretty shaken up by the time they get to him. Leif does a lot of the calming him (Kabbu or Vi comments on wow you’re pretty good with kids and Leif’s like ...yeah) They take him back to his grandparents (one of them carrying him as he directs, almost falling asleep as they get into town), tearful reunion. They turn to thank Team Snakemouth and stop at seeing Leif who’s dead still, staring at his parents.
I forget if I touched on this in the previous but it’s a much different emotional moment for Leif in any of the reunion scenarios for this, with it being bugs he already is connected to, his immediate family. More persistent guilt about what he put them through, for one. Definitely some awkwardness around their kid. And on top of Muse’s attitude (or treatment if she’s not there) feeding his existing hesitance about Elizant II, he’s also gonna feel more conflicted about continuing to explore because then he’s not being around for his family. Is that just abandoning them again??? (especially since I have a based-in-nothing headcanon that Muse and Leif’s plan when they started having children was going to have Leif doing more of the staying at home taking care of them)
I don’t have anything specific about it really but oough the cordyceps reveal really hits Leif harder when the identity crisis has to answer to there being bugs who knew the Leif from before. “ I am nothing but some...thing... Something that thinks it is him.” but also like. he’s a thing pretending to be Leif to Leif’s closest family, what a monster.
after handing in the first artifact Team Snakemouth immediately runs into Rebecca in the palace. And since I’m going with the headcanon that she was the third member of their scouting team we get family reunion: speedrun edition
slightly off-topic of everything else but I also had the thought that with this compressed timeline Elizant II’s age gives a lot more flavor to things. It works no matter what it is but like. If you want her more sympathetic she was barely an adult when she had to take over and little enough time has passed until canon that it still shows. And otherwise especially with Muse’s reactions/feelings I feel you could do some stuff with her being younger vs the same age vs older
also for anyone who knows and cares about my usual “mothiva’s related to muse”posting: she’s muse’s estranged younger sister in this one.
aaand hollow knight spoilers ahead for the rest of this:
so for the iterations that are “Muse gets exiled and goes out through the forsaken lands and ends up in hallownest,” it’s a rough journey exacerbated by the fact that she didn’t have supplies or prep when Elizant kicked her out. She comes in from the hallownest’s crown/crystal peaks side. It’s some medium amount of time after the ending of the game (godhome but ghost is fine they just have cool void god powers now). And she manages to get at least to the outskirts of dirtmouth. Her appearance causes a stir in general but especially for everyone who’s gonna read into her being a Moth specifically.
Now if I was writing this I would almost certainly ignore the question of potential language barriers completely. But since I’m not, that means they’re going through everyone who knows other languages to find a translator. Most reasonable candidate I think would be Quirrel, although there’s plenty of other options - any of the other bugs who’ve been outside of Hallownest (Lemm probably being my next choice because I’m biased about him. and I think him and Muse interacting would be fun); plus I like the idea that vessels can understand any language, but in that case Ghost and Hollow would only be able to translate one way (assuming they would even be willing to be around her). So eventually it turns into a language exchange with her learning whatever the common hallownest language is and some of them learning bugnish (which makes it easier for Team Snakemouth to communicate when they show up (doing some exploring for the queen I guess). Although when they mention that they’re working for the queen who exiled Muse it makes whoever they’re talking to hesitate about mentioning her)
and yeah for the most part on this it’s just otherwise me dumping all these characters in a salad spinner together and going “nice”
except there’s the variant concept of “the radiance survives as a tiny fragment of Herself and then possesses/inhabits Muse when she shows up because Moth.” Which I have two vague ideas about the when. 1) It takes root when she’s up at the crown by the Radiance statue but doesn’t do anything until the first time she sleeps, in Dirtmouth. And when she wakes up the effects become apparent 2) She goes down below the well and slowly starts feeling weird until she collapses. Either way I think it’d be a “something happens in her mind while she’s unconscious about it but then it’s actually clear what’s going on when she wakes.” Muse is not happy about this. She’s dealing with enough other stuff; she doesn’t need a random deity taking up residence in her head on top of it. Especially one that has all the bugs around her freaking out/hostile toward her now because of it. Two sort of flavors for this as well. 1) Radiance is equally unenthused about the arrangement, did not do it on purpose, did not ask for this, can’t leave, and is basically just exhaustedly resigned to it. 2) Radiance still at the active anger at the Everything. Still didn’t inhabit Muse on purpose in the way like infecting bugs, but yes in the form of purposefully directing Herself to that point, and is trying to do something about this opportunity. She’s not possessing Muse in the sense of being able to outright control her, but She can do some things by force, in brief moments, and also just mess with Muse’s mind. Made harder by Muse fighting Her, though. (And I do think She’d try and bargain with Muse. Don’t You Want To Go Home? I Can Make That Happen. With My Power No One Can Stop You)

Kawaki Academy Arc: Hana Sensei Pt. 2
So Hana-sensei is also back at school. Now that she’s out of the hospital, Anko and Shino explain that the terrorist attack wasn’t random - they were after her student Kae specifically. Hana feels guilty for not noticing, but she puts on a brave face for everyone.
Tumblr media
Kawaki is also back at school. He thinks everything ended too neatly, making the good point that if the assassin actually intended for their last attack on Kae to work, they wouldn’t have strapped explosive tags to their body. So he still attends Academy with Himawari, which makes her smile.
In the classroom, Osuka leads the class to give Hana-sensei a welcome-back surprise. She’ll lead a chant, and Kawaki will pull a rope that will release flower petals into the room. But someone didn’t set up the trap right, so the ball just bounces and spills petals over the floor. But it’s the thought that counts, so she thanks the kids and scoops the petals up in a keepsake box at her desk.
After school, she wanders around trying to remember what happened the day of the attack. She has a massive hole in her memory and doesn’t remember why she was in the building that collapsed. Kawaki spots her wandering around and asks what the hell she’s doing. Seeing him next to the hole triggers memories of Hana fighting as Purple Mask.
Tumblr media
She sprints home, and we get a genuinely creepy scene of her frantically tearing her house apart while experiencing flashbacks of past episodes and an reoccurring image of a bloody kunai. Hana finds a secret room behind her closet filled with weapons, masks, and pictures of the minions from the last episode.
Then we see a reflection of another Hana in the mirror with blood red hair - her alternate self. Apparently her hair was less about making her design more anime and more about distinguishing her various personalities.
Now before I say any further: THIS IS NOT HOW DISSOCIATIVE IDENTITY DISORDER WORKS! I know it’s a common trope, but people with DID aren’t naturally violent, and they can’t open up a hotline with their alternate selves via mirrors.
ANYWAY. Black Hana gets sucked into Flashback Land, where Red Hana explains everything. So years ago, the Minister of Bamboo (the mastermind behind Kae’s attempted assassination) rounded up 50 orphans. He then made them fight to the death in a battle royal, and the survivors became his personal assassination squad.
Tumblr media
Hana couldn’t handle the trauma of murdering all her friends, so she developed an alter ego as a defense mechanism. Red Hana got her hands dirty so Black Hana could live in oblivious peace.
This makes Black Hana’s ditziness pretty disturbing, because she’s not a naturally forgetful or clumsy person - she’s forced to be that way because she’s always had gaps in her memory, and her body is sleep deprived from living two lives.
So after the Bamboo Minister wasted 40-some perfectly good orphans, Hana and another operative were sent as sleeper agents to Konoha, posing as father and daughter. Black Hana thought being a teacher was her childhood dream, but Red Hana says her mission was to infiltrate the Academy as a citizen.
Tumblr media
Which begs the question: Did the Minister look at baby Kae and think - in 10 years I’m going to send this girl to be a foreign exchange student and have my assassin kill her in the school? Or was Hana just there to kill and kidnap kids from powerful families, and he decided Kae would be the first victim?
Also, HOW OLD IS HANA? She says she came to Konoha a decade ago, and she looks no older than 13, which would make her 23. But she sometimes shows the little eye marks the animators use for not-so-young adults, so...F it, I’m going to say she’s Konohamaru’s age.
As an additional mindfuck, we see how Hana pulled off her fake suicide bombing. The same guy who brought her to the village as her fake dad just waltzes into her hospital room after the terrorist attack. He tells her to use his body for a fakeout, then plunges a kunai into his chest. The night of the last assassination attempt, Red Hana switched her body out with her fake father’s and exploded the corpse, then snuck back into the hospital as Black Hana.
Black Hana is horrified by her crimes and tries to turn herself in, but Red Hana mentally chains her up. Red Hana poses as the teacher and acts smiley toward the kids. But as the class is distracted chatting about the upcoming field trip, she crushes a butterfly in her fist, dumps it into the petals from the welcome stunt, and throws her keepsake box in the trash.
Tumblr media
Kawaki watches her bug murder with his mouth agape and decides he no longer ships Hana and Shino-sensei. No, actually he just looks suspicious.
After class, everyone leaves, but Kae runs back because she forgot something. Sensing an opportunity to attack the princess, Red Hana rushes toward the classroom with a kunai. But Black Hana takes over for a split second and stops her by SLICING OPEN HER OWN HAND.
Kae, Kawaki, and Himawari run into her. Kawaki notices some blood by her feet. Hana keeps her back to them and says “Ahaha, it’s okay, I just tripped and cut myself. I’m so clumsy!”  Meanwhile the front of her clothes are spattered in blood. Kawaki’s suspicion is officially piqued.
Tumblr media
After the kids leave, Red Hana goes back into her mind and traps Black Hana with mental chains, saying she’ll never interfere with her work again.

Elyos timeline vs Xenelyos timeline
I was bored so i decided to see how much things changed between the main Elyos and the Xenelyos
and because spoilers ahead, see under the cut
1- Genesis vs Xenogenesis
Elyos was a peaceful lands until Sombron decided to go to war a 1 000 years ago. Chronogically, Sombron arrived in Elyos when he was a child and was taken by humans, but then Emblem 0 gone Sombron choosed violence and spent the time he was here growing and turn to conquest, making kids with Mage dragons. I guess that during his time here since he is as old as Lumimi this allowed people to make him the figure of the cult of Elusia for whatever reasons since Elusia seems to have been worshiping him for as long as he has been here but basically this means that Fell dragons don’t originate from Elyos but from whatever realm Sombron originates from, and Sombron is the sole survivor of his tribe in his world (unless there were others fell kids that survived and they were send into another world idk) whereas Divine one and Mage dragons are native species
Meanwhile XenElyos was a land without any dragon, until a dragon was born and then his descendence got splitted into divine dragons and fell one, making both species native to Elyos and originally of the same kin, which explain better why Xenobron might have been place as the same status as Lumera’s unlike in Elyos where we have to imagine how the heck was it possible for him to gain this much authority. It’s worth noting though that the Realms in Elyos exist as well, but reversed since the map is mirrored in it’s axis, and those realms have a different reputation : Firene is a peaceful land in Elyos but in Xenylos it’ a land of warior, in short they swaped with Brodia.
2- Emblems
So the accessories and Emblems are different since Elyos was blessed with 12 rings whereas Xenylos was blessed with 7 bracelets. Unlike what was shown of our units, Emblem seems to be unique to their worlds, however the emblems all represent the same world.
Elyos                                                                                                     XenElyos
World of Fe1/Fe3 : Marth’s ring                                                        Tiki’s bracelet
World of Fe7 : Lyn’s ring                                                              Hector’s bracelet
World of Fe 9/10: Ike and Micaiah                                              Soren (yes 10 too since it’s older Ike that appear in Radiant Dawn even if it’s to represent Radiance)
World of Fe 13: Lucina’s ring                                      Chrom and Robin’s bracelet
World of Fe14: Corrin’s ring                                                       Camilla’s bracelet
World of Fe 16: Byleth                                                     Eddie, Dima and Claude
The others Emblem don’t have a counterpart to represent their world but Vero-chan being here to represent multiverse you could argue
3- War of 1000 : case of uchronie
In french we call uchronie a case of alternate history and here the war went way differently. But since it’s parallel world, the events took place in the same time in parallell fashion unlike a classical case of uchronie where it’s “what if things took place differently” in a universe independ, like that one Friends episode of what would have happened if Rachel married Barry and we aren’t in a alternate universe but just a bonus what if episode, so i think you get the difference now.
- Elyos was already peupled with Divine Dragons and Mage dragons since Sombron said that when he was a kid, Elyos was alreday full of it. In his world however, his entire kind as being slewed in a war to control Emblem rings against others dragons whose nature is not specified but seeing how Fell dragon were exclusive to his world and that Divine one are native of Elyos, I am guessing it was not Divine dragons. Sombron brought one of the ring of his homeworld with him, 0 emblem and they stayed together until villagers found baby Sombron and took him within, 0 Emblem left and Sombron went bersek, killed the village and then growing up decided to find a way to return to his world and reunite with 0 emblem. This happened a 1000 years ago, since Lumera and Sombron are of the same age, this means it happened when Lumera herself was very young. Then a 1 000 years later when Sombron and Lumera are both 2000 years old, Sombron started to wage war to get back the rings to open the world’s gate and to do date he mated with Mage dragon and had numerous children so many that he can’t recall the face and names of many despite being the one having given them their name. Overall he was in this world “close” to only 2 of his kids, being Alear and Veyle. By that time, Veyle was still very young and Alear was their last sibling alive since all of Sombron’s children perished in the war of 1000 years ago and that’s during this war that Alear was slayed by Sombron at the cost of sealing him. By that time Alear befriended Lumera and they had agree that Lumera could turn Alear into a divine dragon and adopt them, so in their “dying moments” Alear begged her to so and Lumera waited for them a 1 000 years infusing her essence, turning Alear into Pepsi protag. Also, chapter 24 proved that Sombron’s side had managed to get back a great number of rings, including Marth which was fighting by Alear side until Alear betrayed Sombron and stayed with Alear during their 1 000 slumber and that by that time Lumera was the last of her kind. This also means that Sombron was the sole representant of his kind and that all fell children are actually Mage dragon/Fell dragon hybrid.
                                                         vs
- In Alternate Elyos, there was no dragon. Until a 1 000 years ago a first dragon was born. By that time, Sombron arrive in Elyos in the main world. Then this dragon had among his descendance Divine dragon and Fell dragon, meaning that in this universe Lumeralt and Xenobron are long distant relatives and that Fell dragon and Divine dragon are cousins species. Seeing how 0Emblem was an emblem ring and Emblem are uniques, this meas that Xenobron had different motivation (might make a whole post about it). Just like Sombron did a 1 000 years ago, Xenobron started a war against Divine dragon with his spawn which, because of his different genetics, are all born as twins. Meanwhile, seeing how the chronolgy is different, Lumeralt had a bioligical child with one of her fellow Divine dragon (idk if it was the one that was Lumera’s spouse in MGElyos though) that child being Altlear, however 1000 years ago, during the war, Sombron got sealed, Lumera died and Nil died too, leaving Rafal to switch places and according to Rafal, that happened when both were still children and unlike what happened in the main world, many others of the Xenobron children survived before the twins betrayed Xenobron to joined side with Alear (remember in the last CG Xenobron said that it had been sometimes since Nel and Rafal betrayed him) since there was a CG showing Nel killing at least 4 others fell children. This was after that they joined side with Altlear and Altear fought Sombron at the cost of their lives, which must have happened recently enough for Nel to still be deeply hurt by it.
4 - The 4 hounds vs the 4 winds
Biggest changes are them. So let’s see.
Zephia vs Zelestia : Zephia was a powerful Mage dragon, so powerful that according to Mauvier, she could have remplaced Sombron and destroyed her own village, before entering Sombron’s side. She fought along side him during the war of 1 000 and was the one that founded the 4 hounds. This happened when Sombron was in slumber, as she also managed to get Veyle back once she met the Fell Dragon sympathizers that took her away when she was a sleeping in the temple. She mets Griss and Marnies as children and took care of them, along with Mauvier to “form a family”
Zelestia however, had a very different life. She for some reason that i think must be biological was way weaker than her Mage dragons fellow. In this world, Mage dragon refused to side with Xenobron (which can only makes me wonder how Sombron got to have stick to their side) which resulted in their kind being exterminated by Xenobron and Zelestia foind refuge by Lumeralt and Altlear side. Unlike Zephia, Zelestia meet with the other members of the 4 winds very late, Gregory saved her during a battle and Mauvier, founder and second in commend, was with Maddie when they encontered.
Griss vs Gregory : Both were Elusian boys with neglectful parents. Whereas Griss got abandonned Gregory was sold to the worshippers of Sombron. Both had to go though the same ritual, expect that Gregory came to hate pain unlike Griss who become a masochist after experiecning it. Griss was taken care of by Zephia who was both a mother and elder sister figure to him, who still jad quite a sequels as apparently he was unable to speak for a long moments, whereas Gregory meet Zelestia during a battle where he saved her from a Corrupted. But both guys have strong bond with Zephia and Zelestia.
Marni vs Madeline: Marni was the daughter of a poor woman and had numerous brothers. Although she helped her mother took care of the household, the latter saw her of having no value explaining why she was longing for praise. Despite her efforts, her mother ended up abandoning her at a church of the Fell dragon. There she was raised by the clergy and receive the affection her mother never gave her and her abilty attracted the Fell dragon sect, explaning why Zephia took her with her.
Madeline had a different alternate family. Rather than being the child of Marni’s mom’s double, like Altlear, she had a knight mother and knight father who served the Lumeralt party and had no siblings at all, in short she was a lonely child. She lost both her parents during the war against Sombron, but she was saved by Mauve who took her as her apprentice and according to Zelestia they looked like father and daughter.
Mauvier vs Mauve : We all know Mauvier. He is a Firene native that moved to Elusia with his mother when his father died due to an illness and then they become member of Sombron’s chruch. Mauvier became a knight serving Veyle and grew found of her as he was the first person she met when she woke up. He doesn’t join Alear’s party until Marni’s death mainly because of Veyle, but seeing what Zephia did to her and how she killed Marni, he drew the line and join Alear.
Mauve (that’s how I call Parallel Mauvier)’s origins are unknown but his Veyle dying sooner than in the MG, he had no other reason to stay as I suspect that Xenobron was the one to get rid of her and that he was just as dedicated to her than Mauvier to Veyle. He took Madeline with him and founded the 4 winds to protect the Fell twins but it doesnt change the fact that Zelestia like Zephia was the leader as Mauve left her the spot.
6- Fell dragons vs Fell dragons
Strangely enough, the Fell siblings and the Fell twins don’t quite exaclty belong to the same species because of the difference. Sombron isn’t a native to his Elyos, meaning he can’t be a descendant of Lumera’s ancestor unlike Xenobron and Lumeralt so Fell dragon in MG Elyos have no link to Divine one whereas in XenElyos, Fell dragons are cousin species of Divine ones. After all the only reason why Fell dragon in our world could awake Emblems was because of Sombron having similar rings but Xenobron and his spawn would be able to do it just fine since they have a common ancestor to explain the why. That’s without taking into account the fact that unlike in Elyos where Sombron was the only pure fell blood, Xenobron could have mate with other of his fellow fell dragon seeing how there many others and no Mage dragon, and he killed them way before Veyle and Nel and Rafal were born so it’s more likely. Which makes it very weird because
Alear : Fell dragon turned into a hybrid Fell/Divine dragon
Veyle : Hybrid Fell/Mage Dragon
Sombron : pure fell dragon
The Fell twins : Pure fell dragon but their species is slightly different due to their origins...
If you noticed Veyle and the twins shared the common trait of having weird taste buds, something Alear doesn’t have anymore since Lumera messed their anatomy and seeing how Alear can use both invocations and prayers as well as having only one side with bed hair, being the red one, I guess this means there isn’t that much difference but when you compared Sombron’s dragon froms to the twins, the twins looked more like lizard which i think is because of that change of ancestor because some of the Lumera dragon from feature reapears through their own dragon form. And seeing how Xenobron had that quirk of having only twins unlike Sombron, I guess that’s also proof that Fell dragon in Elyos arent quite the same species as in the XenElyos
And that’s all I spotted for now.

(CLARIFICATION: I REMEMBER YOU THIS IS PURE FICTION, FANTASY. IT IS ONLY A STORY TO ENTERTAINMENT)
In this Au Teen Pop Singer as such, Choreo is the stage name of loco (and if the ancient god would have Loco inside him, he would happen to be Loco, older brother and if it would be as good as Loco but more towards the sports side that would be be a Boxer, and if his name is still the same "choreo" but it would be something like: "Choreo Lorenzo I")
Let's see some information about Loco de este Au as a teenage singer: In if Loco would sing pop, rock and alternative rock songs .. if he does not have a defined musical genre for that reason he is very loved and popular among young toons and humans. He began his musical career at the age of 6 when he sing in his parents' business a family restaurant because he liked to entertain the local people. until a producer from a record label visited the place and offered him a great opportunity ... from then on he liked until 10 years that they told him that he would have to leave school to start his first musical tour ... which annoyed him a little because he wanted to be with his friends ... his current representative.
He told him that he would give him a tutor 24/7 and that's how it was for a while, that half he was able to graduate from primary education .. now it was his turn to enter high school at 12 years old .. but I still have a secondary tutor and each one he tried do your homework and catch up ... or you had an interview scheduled or it was to go to a music store and do an autograph signing, go to record a single or a photoshoot ... things that lasted almost until the wee hours of the night ... and until the next morning. so his tutor demanded that he finish the task that he left him ... but when he just started doing it ... he ended up confused because he did not know what to do or did not understand it ... but the most frustrating thing was that he wanted a break and be able to socialize as he did before he became famous .. so he often dreams of being able to live a normal life .. like many his age .. and if he has the typical fantasy of going to high school and living everything he lives a high school series protagonist. Miner Dan explained to him that if he got together with his age it would only cause great delays in his important and busy schedule as an artist ... he is already reaching the limit and he no longer feels safe if everything that goes out to the market that his fans buy It is good because even clothes that are forced to wear to make him look more "daring and rebellious" he dislikes .. already in public he pretends to be happy so as not to show fatigue

So as a result of rambling with @beevean as usual, I got inspired to make a quick post involving yet another one of the many interesting but wasted ideas ShtH brought to the table, in this case being a character.
Does anyone else think that that the G.U.N Commander had potential as a character?
Most of the time when people bring him up, they usually focus on his monstrosity of a face as a child somewhat silly motivations, mostly the idea of him being traumatized just by seeing Shadow wake up and then working for the same organization that killed Maria.
However, one thing that’s never talked about this and the game obviously never explores, which is why I count this as wasted potential, is that this apparently silly situation is a whole can of worm with a lot to unpack with the implications.
One of the most overlooked aspects about the ARK’s incident is the fact that not only it was covered up as an accident, but it was also a top secret operation, even internally at G.U.N, meaning that it’s very likely only a select few people knew what actually happened there.
So here’s the questions that could have made the Commander more interesting if they were explored...how was his perspective of this situation?
It’s common to say that the Commander joining G.U.N is really stupid since they were responsible for Maria’s death, alternatively other fans (myself included at one point) theorize that maybe he wanted to change the organization for the better, but I think the elephant in the room here that never gets adressed is that the ARK’s raid pretty much happened when he was a little child.
Maria was older than him at 12 years old, so the Commander couldn’t have been older than that.
Tumblr media
Considering Maria is a full head taller than the Commander, with this I think it’s safe to assume he’s at the very least between the 8 to 10 years old gap.
Why do I bring this all up? Because with this in mind, the Commander’s perspective suddenly becomes very interesting and critical for his motivations.
The Commander certainly is aware of the ARK’s raid and the consequences it brought. But what was he doing when that happened? Did he personally witness any of the events that happened? Did any soldiers try to harm him? Maria certainly died despite being a child but she was escaping with Shadow, the main reason G.U.N was there to begin with, so it can’t be guaranteed he was treated with the same hostility.
In fact. Who says the Commander wasn’t simply taken away by the soldiers and told a completely different story of what happened, without seeing the full detail of the whole event? Not only that but since the Commander is just a child here, he probably couldn’t properly grasp and understand the full scope of what happened.
Suddenly, a lot of things make sense. As stupid as it is, the Commander did get horrified at the sighting of Shadow’s creation to the point that in his narration of the flashbacks, he labels Gerald as an ‘’insane’’ scientist. So, because of the Commander’s age, his growing grudge for Shadow and Gerald, and overall lack of information about what happened, suddenly it makes a lot of sense to think that the Commander shifted all the blame from G.U.N to Gerald and Shadow, because he probably didn’t have a specific person to put the blame on what happened besides them.
Not only that but, it’s not hard to think that after everything was done, he probably got told that the place had to be shut down because Gerald lost his mind and was going to cause a disaster with his creations.
And if we assume it took at least until he was 18 years old to join G.U.N, then the Commander would ONLY have Gerald and Shadow to scapegoat for everything for years, and by the time he did join G.U.N. and had a high enough ranking to know more about what happened, I’m pretty sure that because of the top secret nature of everything related to Shadow he probably only got confirmations of Gerald going insane, which would just add more fuel to his shortsighted belief of who was the real culprit of the ARK’s incident. Considering that the Commander probably wasn’t even aware of Shadow’s escape duing SA2, I don’t think it’s too farfetched to think that even he couldn’t uncover all the vital information on what truly happened during the day the ARK was shut down.
Is any of this actually explored in the game?
Sadly, no, not even close.
These are mostly HCs and questions I came up with from the top of my head, but the point I wanted to prove is that the Commander had a lot of potential and it would have been very interesting to see him get fleshed out more as a character. Even visually he stands out compared to the other humans (I don’t think it’s a coincidence that anyone involved with the Robotnik family stands out compared to other Sonic humans :P).
This is pretty much a testament to how ShtH had so many interesting ideas that would have actually helped a lot to make the game properly execute the more mature tone it was going for, but unfortunately, we know what happened and all of that potential got wasted in such a fashion that it’s even criminal.
But hey, at least there’s still some nice fanfic fuel I guess.
