•Slytherin Dorcas Meadowes (I know some ppl like her in Gryffindor but Slytherin Half-Blood DM just makes me feel things man)

•ADHD/bipolar James Potter (hear me out, I’m bipolar and I just see a lot of the characteristics and signs subconsciously in focus when ppl are writing James)

•Pandora and Evan being twins (yeah pandora as a Lestrange can be vibes but there is just something about Reggie having the rosier twins at his side)

•Narcissa and Regulus positive relationship (she loved and mourned him your honor)

•different ethnicities/nationalities for all the characters (desi James and French Blacks and Welsh Remus and ughhh they all just hit different when they aren’t standard copy and paste media)

•unhinged and insane rosekiller (no explanation needed)

•genderfluid Sirius (not everyone’s cup of tea but let’s be honest, it heals the hurt teen in me that wanted to hear ‘they’ but only ever got ‘her’)

•Peter and Marlene besties (it’s hurts to think about the canon of it, but god do I love them)

•fat Lily Evans (mother. My queen. Whenever I feel shitty about my thighs rubbing together I look up fanon lily art and tell myself she’d think I was a masterpiece too)

•tattoos (every single marauders era character having so many tattoos centered around their friendships and relationships and things that make them happy)

•Sirius supporting Jegulus (bc healthy sibling relationships are okay to strive for)

•the black sisters being in ANYTHING AT ALL (Bella and Andy and Cissy are my Roman Empire)

•raising their kids in a village together (Harry and Neville and Draco and Luna just being loved and cherished by all the adults)

•‘side characters’ in the era making appearances?? (Alice and Frank and Emmeline and Gideon and Fabian are my loves too)

DP x DC: The Most Dangerous Card Game

Ok so Danny has essentially claimed earth as his. And he is fully aware that there are constant threats to the planet. Now he can’t stop a threat that originates on earth (that’s something he’ll leave to the Justice league) but he can do something about outside threats. Doing some research on ancient spells, rituals, and artifacts, he cast a world wide barrier on the planet to protect it from hostile threats so they cannot enter. This will prevent another Pariah Dark incident. However, barriers like this come at a price. You see, there are two ways to make a barrier. Either make one powered up by your own energy and power (which would be constantly draining) or set up a barrier with rules. The way magic works is that nothing can be absolutely indestructible. It must have a weakness. The most powerful barriers weren’t the ones reinforced with layer after layer of protective charms and buffed up with power. Those could eventually be destroyed either by being overpowered, wearing them down, or by cutting off the original power source. No, the most powerful barriers were the ones with a deliberate weakness. A barrier indestructible except for one spot. A cage that can only be opened from the outside. Or that can only be passed with a key or by solving a riddle. So Danny chooses this type of barrier and does the necessary ritual and pours in enough power to make it. And he adds his condition for anyone to enter. 

Now the Justice league? Find out about the barrier when Trigon attempts to attack, they were preparing after he threatened what he would do once he got to earth. How he would destroy them. The Justice league tried to take the fight to him first but were utterly destroyed, so they retreated home to tend to their injuries, and fortify earth for one. Last. Stand. Only when Trigon makes his big entrance…he’s stopped.

The Justice league watch in awe as this thin see-through barrier with beautiful green swirls and speckled white lights like stars apears blocking Trigon and his army’s advance. The barrier looks so thin and fragile yet no matter how hard the warlord hits, none of his attacks can get through and neither can he damage said barrier. That’s when Constantine and Zatanna recognizes what this barrier is. Something only a powerful entity could create. For a moment, the league is filled with hope that Trigon can’t get through yet Constantine also explains that it’s not impenetrable. And clearly Trigon knows this too for he calls out a challenge. 

And that’s when, in a flash of light, a tiny glowing teenager appears. He looked absolutly minuscule compared to Trigon and yet practically glowed with power (this isn’t a King Danny AU though).

And that is when the conditions for passing the barrier are revealed. And the Justice realize that the only thing stopping Trigon and his army from decimating earth. The only way he can get through….is by beating this glowing teenager in a card game. 

Not just any card game though. The most convoluted game Sam, Danny, and Tucker invented themselves. It’s like the infinite realms version of magic the gathering, combined with Pokémon, and chess. And Danny is the master. So sit down Trigon and let’s play.

(The most intense card game of the Justice league’s life).

After Danny wins, this happens a few more times with outer word beings and possibly even demons attempting to invade earth, yet none have been able to beat the mysterious teenager in a card game. Constantine might even take a crack at it and try to figure out how to play. He’s really bad though. Every time this happens, the Justice league worry that this might be the time the teenager looses. Yet every time, he wins (even if only barely). 

Meanwhile, Danny, Sam, and Tucker have gotten addicted to the game and play it almost daily. Some teachers might seem them playing the game are are like ‘awww how cute’ not realizing this game is literally saving the world. Jazz is just happy they aren’t spending as much time on their screens playing Doomed.

more cfau miscellaneous things because Childhood Friends Danny and Jason have my head and heart always and I need to finish rewriting chapter two dammit (and redo the half-finished chapter 4 because its just Not The Vibes). i'm almost through I need to get through the graveyard scene. (i just stubbornly refuse to have it be shorter than the original chapter and thats the little death. that is the mind killer.)

Danny and jason’s ghost forms both smell faintly like burnt flesh and cigarettes. However, Jason has a more smokey smell while Danny’s smells almost,,, electrical? In a sense? Like he just straight up smells like burnt flesh and sulphur while Jason smells like someone put him in a smoker first.

It’s very much an unpleasant smell but Danny finds an odd comfort in it just as much as he finds a comfort in the smell of nicotine.

(Jason post-revival smells burnt flesh once and is immediately offput by the fact that it brings him an instinctive comfort. He doesn’t realize its because it reminds him of Danny, and is uncomfortable by it.)

In an au of an au, Danny’s altercation with Rath ends with Rath regaining enough of his sanity to snap out of the grieving state and ends with him breaking down. Instead of being souped and imprisoned, Rath, who is permanently 14, decides to Move On into the unknown. He’s exhausted, heartbroken, and tired.

(Is this influenced heavily by the ParaNorman scene where he talks to Agatha and helps her move on? Yes. But it doesn’t fit with the Original Storyline so im shoving it into an Au of an Au.)

Rath tells Danny that Jason lied to them (which he genuinely believes), and that he’s tired of waiting/looking for him/grieving. Jason is gone. He isn’t coming back, he abandoned them. And he wants his mom and dad, and his sister, and his friends. And he’s ready to join them.

He leads Danny out to Gotham, which other than Amity Park might’ve been the only city left untouched due to Rath’s own mental block on the place. They go out to the park he and Jason used to frequent or up to one of crime alley’s rooftops, and there Rath lies down and goes to sleep. Only to never wake up again, materializing into nothing as his soul moves on.

Before Rath leaves, he forces Danny to promise him that he’ll only wait for Jason for ten years. After that if he doesn’t find him, or if Jason doesn’t show, then Danny has to move on. Whether that be like how Rath does, or if its inly mentally/emotionally, doesn’t matter. He has to move on. Don’t wait for him. Don’t waste his time any more.

(“Oh, and if you find him, kick his ass for me.”)

Danny reluctantly agrees, and Rath lies down. Danny sings to him as he falls asleep.

(Angsty points if the vigilantes including Red Hood caught wind of their presence and were silently watching from the shadows. Rath might know they’re there, but Danny’s too focused on Rath to notice.)

(If only so that Red Hood realizes that this is what happened to Danny, and that Danny is gone before he can make things right. The tragedy, folks. The angst. The initial realization that Danny was Rath, and then also that Danny was dead and has been dead for years, and that before he moved on, he moved on believing that Jason abandoned him.)

(like i said it doesn't fit in the original timeline/storyline hence why its an au of an au and isn't nearly a fleshed out, but i was largely just focusing on the tragedy of Rath moving on and Jason being alive to see it and realize just who Rath is.)

Just like how the Lazarus pits shot Jason's twiggy 4'6-5'4 (depending on what you find) feet tall and 86lb ass up like a tree an essentially fixed his malnutrition, the portal did the same thing for Danny.

(granted i forgot about malnutrition and danny's likely stunted growth at first -- his family lived in crime alley and despite both his parents working, I don't think they had enough food all the time. He probably wasn't as badly malnourished as Jason was, but he wasn't healthy either.)

Granted his ghost in its "natural" state (14) is short, and his growth spurts were slow at first, it did result in him reaching his dad's height. There were points where it just happened overnight, like a baby. He went to bed one night 5’6 and woke up the next day 5’10.

Jazz is shorter than him. Although I have't decided if she's even liminal at all (and if she is, it didn't cure everything because she would have also suffered childhood malnutrition, and since in au canon their parents didn't get their hands on physical ectoplasm until after they got to Amity Park. So the exposure is less.)

Danny's voice absolutely sounds like canon Dan's. It kinda just dropped one day when he was 16-17 and never went back up. Sam and Tucker sometimes ask him to just talk about anything because they find his voice soothing.

I'm not sure yet how Danny would feel about it at first considering Rath, but I imagine that Rath, when he did speak, would have had a quieter and scratchier/weaker voice considering he's spent the last decade shrieking and crying.

(and i suppose technically that shouldn't have any effect on his throat considering he's a ghost and idk if that would actually affect him, but i like the idea so im keeping it)

In the beginning you could hear him from a mile away by the sound of his loud, echoing wails, but ten years later you can only really hear him by the soft, shuddering sobs he makes. Like he's gasping for air that isn't there. The future is full of very quiet survivors.

And it's much easier to speak when you pitch your voice upwards (especially when whispering/speaking quietly) so he might've spoken in a higher, airy pitch in order to be heard. So Danny might actually find a comfort in having a lower voice.

Hello again, fellas. (And to whoever is actually interested in looking at my weird little AU-) Sanctuary has been on my mind lately and uhhh, I’d like to introduce you to some new characters!

Meet the Eventide Duo: REI and KAI!

I, like with Aster and Del, have never drawn them before, and because I honestly didn’t have it in me to do two full-body drawings with color and everything, doodling them was the next best thing. I’ve been thinking about these two a lot and just really wanted to get them down as a start. Soooo—this is their first pass and things are subject to change! (Please excuse the messiness-)

Rei (the Red) and Kai (the Blue) come from—okay this is kinda funny now that I’m writing it out—their AU was inspired by an FNF fan song that I heard awhile back. It was something like “Frostbite but Blue.” The person who made the song (I don’t remember their name off the top of my head) said they were going to post the lore, but as far as I know they never did, so my brain kinda took the concept and ran with it—making it into my own story. (Sorry to whoever that was-)

Rei is the fledgling god of the Sun and the Second Coming of Arceus. He ascended to godhood after his untimely death, returning to earth to protect the one he loves. Rei may look like a massive grump, but in reality, he's a ray of sunshine and one of the most warm-hearted and protective people you'll ever meet. Kai is still a Pokémon Trainer, but he’s also Rei's singular devotee. He's honestly pretty quiet for a Blue, if not a bit high-strung, but he's loyal and sweet, even if he has a bit of a hard time showing it.

The both of them worked together to survive the violent floods and rainfall that devastated their original home, and now live a quiet life together in Sanctuary, going on little adventures here and there to try and reclaim the life they lost bit by bit.

(Okay, time to tag my one fan. @100nebulas , I think you said you wanted more Sanctuary content in general that one time, so I guess you’re gonna be eternally tagged in these lmao. Hope you enjoy :])

What is up with people hating on characters

Like ACTUALLY hating a fictional character like it did something ty

Like I understand being like "this character sucks" but when it's a complex character that has a story and is written as a bad person? It's supposed to be fun😭

And when people hate on other headcanons and au (hating a dni/ or something weird and gross is fine but try not ro judge so long as its not illegal) but like if it's ooc that's not so big and changes the character to a whole 'nother universe or it's just a quick little thing that the writer can relate to

Then what's the problem??

Morro, and what he wanted to be over the course of his existence. With a young sensei, a terrifying beast, and an old tyrant.

Wu looked at the small boy in front of him, so tiny and innocent, pure despite the pain he has already faced in his few short years of life. The emerald green streak tangled in his black hair as the wind swept over the two, resting from another day of training. Wu’s own golden eyes stared at the mesmerising sunset, before he turned his head to face his very first student. His very first child.

“Morro.” Teal eyes turned away from the warm tea cup wrapped in tiny hands, only to stare into the golden eyes the child finds so safe (yet one day, so painful)

“What do you want to be when you grow up?”

He watches as the naive child blinked up at him, turning his eyes back to the tea cup as his brows furrowed and his mouth moved into a thoughtful pout. Wu had to contain his laughter at the child’s deep thinking over such a simple question.

(Wu did not know the true insecurities the child faces when it comes to his place in the world, when it comes to his future.)

Teal eyes glimmered in the sunset as they turned back to face the pure gold held in his father’s eyes.

With a grin, he said “Strong!”

Sitting in the flesh of a beast like no other, what were once bright teal eyes shone a dull green at the dark and moist ground of their second home.

As others like him- transparent and gone, free from the shackles of life yet chained to the horrors of death- floated around, the teen heard, more then felt, the slimy tentacle that wrapped around his arms.

The teen felt, more than heard, the beady eye that stared deep into his very soul.

A voice only he could hear echoed deep in his ears, in his brain, in his heart.

It was cold and vile, a sound no man nor women could ever escape from whilst remaining mentally sound.

“Morro…”

His own name, one he does not recall ever earning, sent shivers down his soul itself. He wished to rip the name, the title, out of his very being. So no person may ever corrupt the memory of what he once was.

“What do you wish to be, oh Child of the Wind?”

His eyes, shut to escape his new reality, peeled themselves open.

Dull green stared ahead, blank and empty at the horrors before his eyes.

“Powerful.”

The field of green tickled his cheeks as he laid on his back, the sound of children running far away.

His eyes, a dull teal, stared lazily up at the bluish sky. He could see the shades of green mixed in in harmony, as expected from a realm of eternal peace. He felt ants climb over his hands, birds tweeting sweetly in the trees surrounding him. He felt hidden away, from everyone and everything.

But what you feel cannot always be a reality, and he mourned the quiet that was lost to the sounds of footsteps, leaves crushed under their feet as they made their way over to the teen who laid on the grass.

He huffed in amusement. Funny how this man was the one to destroy his quiet, he thought, as he heard the other swiftly sit on the grass next to where his own body lay, not a sound heard.

It was silent as they both stared at the clear blue sky, contemplative and nostalgic from who they once were.

Red eyes, tinged with shades of gold, turned to stare at the teen who laid next to him. He saw the other at peace, his eyes maybe dull, but gaining the small spark they once held yet again. With a smile, the old man turned his tired eyes back to the blue sky, letting the sounds of happy souls fill his ears fully.

For hours they lay in harmony, because no words had to be exchanged between two souls so similar to one another.

“Your life is your own now, dear child. What do you wish to become, after everything you have done?”

“…kind. I wish to be kind.”

Given that goth culture in Japan didn't emerge until the late 90's as a pivotal facet of Harajuku culture and that YGO itself takes place during the 90's (the manga timeline spanning from 1995/1996 - 1999) it is a very real possibility that Yugi himself was a huge figure in goth subculture and may even have the same iconic status as Elvira and the Addams'

Basically please imagine a bunch of baby goths absolutely idolising him growing up because he always appears in tournaments wearing all those belts and thick eyeliner and studded boots and chockers etc and he's just completely oblivious to the fact that he's The King of Goth™️

Headcanon - Henry Stickmin got into the mess with the timelines in his game because of a time piece falling on his head. He's technically in a time rift going through the motions until Hat Kid fixes the rift, made all the worse by the fact he already had minor rewind powers that the time piece was able to amplify.

I love Redemption Arcs for Regulus, but tbh I also love unapologetically bad guy Regulus, too.

Like don’t get me wrong. Him turning on the Dark Lord and realizing he was wrong and reconnecting with Sirius to save the wizarding world is so cute. But what about him not?

I lowkey love thinking Regulus is just some shithead nepo baby with very little morals and respects only when it’s earned. He didn’t leave Voldemort because he realized blood supremacy was bad. He left because Voldemort was immoral and while Regulus doesn’t have a lot, there are still some he abides by. Voldemort disrespected Regulus, and the House of Black, by returning Kreacher the way he did. He disrespected magic and the laws of power by creating horcruxes. Regulus didn’t have an “aha” moment where he realized Voldemort was evil and needed to be stopped. He had a choice to let the slights against his upbringing and station in society pass, or to seek retribution. I love the idea that if Regulus survived, he wouldn’t have just disbanded the death eaters. He would have been a smarter Dark Lord. He wouldn’t have gone about Willy nilly killing muggles and muggleborns. What’s the point? He would want order in the magical world to make sure muggles were kept out. He would’ve implemented documentation for squibs who leave the wizarding world and families of muggleborns so they wouldn’t be able to spill secrets. It would’ve been a “do as I say, or die trying to stop me” in the most political upheaval that wizarding Europe has ever seen. Sometimes that’s fun for me to think about too.

time to vent: can we enjoy male characters who canonically explore dressing fem without deciding as a fandom that they're not men anymore, please? can we enjoy that kind of exploration happening without immediately deciding pretty clothes decide who a character is? or at least, please tag your posts calling them women with something. as a trans guy who even in an ideal world probably wouldn't ever pass, who'd love to be able to wear skirts without being called a woman for it, that shit hurts.
