1. ...the moment in the story that I started shipping my OTP from this world.

That whole scene where Rio blows in the door at just the most dramatic moment and the following throwdown fight made me pay attention. But this sentence? This sentence was a direct hit to alllllll my weaknesses.

It immediately gave me so much delicious information. Like, despite all that 'I want to see you burn... or hang... or drown' aggression? that this woman clearly was utterly gone for Agatha.

17. ...the world-building aspect of the story I have the greatest admiration for.

That SONG. I adore the way they used The Ballad of the Witches' Road in this show in so many ways. The way we kept getting different versions and the way they were so slightly and significantly different based on the purpose behind that particular version.

Like how the Sacred Chant version was all about the community of witches (and the way that hid the trap Agatha had used for centuries).

The way Lorna's version was full of a mother's unconditional love for her daughter and the lengths she'd go to for that love.

The way Nicky and Agatha's version was about their coven of two (and how even while Nicky was alive, the way Agatha had already kinda corrupted it even as her love for her son remained the one true thing about her).

Just. The way the song informed every aspect of the story... it's frankly incredibly impressive.

7. ...the scene that I like to point to as proof that they're perfect for each other.

I could probably choose literally ANY of their scenes to make that particular point but I really like this one.

Like. Agatha has been angry and avoiding Rio for centuries. Rio has recently made it clear she wants Agatha dead (though admittedly knowing her nature this is basically at least 70% her wanting Agatha back).

But despite that, as soon as they know they have to do this particular ritual both of them know THEY are going to be the ones exchanging the brooms. They don't need to talk about it, or discuss it, or consider it, it's just... instinctual.

They are just always on the same wavelengths and it's both beautiful and really tragic.

10. ...rate the level of stupid they reach in their pining.

At the end of the day Agatha is a survivor, and so is Billy. And that both connects and differentiate them. And I just find that very interesting.

Almost a year had gone by since the dreaded night that wouldn't leave their mind in peace, when heaven had burned away all you’d ever known without a care for the loneliness you felt afterwards. A nightmare that was sure to stain decades of eternity with you. Centuries past his own damned fall from heaven's gate, they still found a way to punish him.

Your heart healed quickly with his doting and comfort, but the physical scars remained. Each morning was a glimpse of heaven and hell. He was always awake before you, but to ever leave your side would pain them like nothing else. So he waited. You stared for a moment, then drummed your fingers on your thigh. “Your real one was certainly longer than this,” you muttered to yourself. 

Your companion absently nodded, those innocent words haunting him with another memory. He’d spilled his heart out months ago in a moment of weakness, one morning when the sight of your scars broke him. About the real first time you met, his own fall from grace, his sinful intentions to take you with him some day. Everything that he feared would make you hate him. It was a way to punish himself further. Heaven’s permanent reminder wasn’t enough—but you forgave everything with ease like the angel you truly were. 

I’d go through it all again if it meant you’d be mine, you told him. As if it was a simple choice. You were more upset to hear that you couldn’t call his true name. That worthless excuse of a god had made a mistake to let you go—one Ren would never even think to make.

The demon had developed an odd habit of brooding. You kissed his cheek to get his attention, one hand lacing through theirs. “Ren, there’s nothing to worry about. Why don’t we go swim? Or take a walk?”

He meant to answer, but a harsh shiver suddenly tore through your body. You felt cold again, even to him. A lance of pain from his own ill fated guilt, and he carefully stood, lifting you into his ink-stained arms. “Let’s go home.” You were clearly about to frown, and he had to correct himself. “Little angel, let’s go home.”

Not even the moon could outshine the immediate smile you brightened his world with.

With the recent potential developments in the My Hero Cannon lately, shipping discourse is at an all time high. Spoilers, by the way.

Izuocha is allegedly made canon in some sort of final chapter of My Hero. And the Togachako and Bakudeku shippers are screaming, crying, throwing up. The Izuocha shippers are ecstatic, and everyone else is watching this absolute dumpster fire of a situation develop. And with this all, some feelings have been spun up. So I'm gonna talk about it.

First and foremost, Izuocha was always going to be canon. Sorry, not sorry. It was implied from the get go. Right off the bat a mutual crush was confirmed. While it focused more on Ochako's feelings, Deku definitely felt the same as the series progressed. All the blushing and awkward tension was there. And I say this not to invalidate the other ships, we'll get too that. But because this is pure fact I want established.

Now, it being well written, is another story. Obviously My Hero was never intended to be a romance. It is a Shonen anime, mainly action. While also making social commentary on corrupt governments, and discriminatory social systems. Those were always the main themes and points of the series. With Bakugou and Deku's complicated dynamic being second to that, and everything else prioritized after this. so naturally Izuku and Ochako's romantic relationship would not be as focused on. Hence why it's writing is not as good. It's just important to clarify this.

Which brings us to my actual main gripe with the whole situation. The way this fandom is invalidating not only just shipping, but relationship dynamics as a whole. And I've seen this with a LOT of fandoms. People tend to find they're OTP and stick to it. Buying their heads in the sand like Ostrich's when it comes to any other dynamics those two characters may have. People will say "My ship makes the most sense, and all the other ships are ridiculous," or, "I can't see them being anything more than platonic. My ship however, is meaningful and romantic."

That all lowkey pisses me off. Because when pushing that we forget a key detail of the human experience. As we go through our lives we meet hundreds of people. Form hundreds of group and individual dynamics, forge relationships with these different people we meet.

It's the beauty of being creatures with consciousness. Because we don't just meet someone, breed and die. We meet so many people who are all unique in their wants and desires. Different life goals and motivations. Different experiences that've shaped them.

Toga met Ochako. A girl who understood her more than anyone she'd met before. Who didn't see her just as the villain she'd become, but the girl she'd been and was still. A connection that meant something. But she also had the League of Villains, and Twice. People she'd found home and family in. As twisted as it was. Another meaningful connection in her life.

Bakugou Deku's dynamic is a huge section of conflict throughout the story. Despite that though, through all their ups and downs, they help each other grow. Become better Hero's and, in Bakugous case specifically, better people. It's meaningful. But Bakugou also meets Kirishima. One of the first people to ignore his threats and anger, her shouting. To put himself next to Bakugou and say "I want to be your equal. Your friend." And Kirishima plays a big role in softening Bakugou. And Bakugou helps Kirishima with his confidence. It's meaningful.

Just like how Deku and Todoroki's dynamic is important for both. Deku helps Todoroki to understand he does not have to hide parts of himself to spite his father. "It's yours! Your quirk, not his!" It's a huge break through for Todoroki. And in turn Todoroki is one of the people that helps Deku realize he can ask for help, he can lean on his friends. That needing support isn't weak (a lesson Deku also helped him learn), and that it doesn't make you a bad hero.

And Deku and Ochako. She's one of the first people to truly believe in him. To look at him and say he will make a good hero. One of his first friends. And Deku helps Ochako in that same way. He also inspires her to work harder and eventually she realizes she wants to be a rescue based Hero.

But Ochako also meets Toga. A girl cast out by society for her quirk, which she uses unashamedly. It helps Ochako see villains in a different light. One of empathy and understanding. While she still wishes to hold them accountable, she now sees the circumstances for how villain's are made. And she makes it her life to help other Children with quirks like Toga's to not become villains through quirk counseling. It's meaningful. All of these different dynamics shape the characters in different aspects of their lives and personality. Each dynamic is important, just as much so as the next. Whether platonic, romantic, or otherwise. They mattered. To invalidate that because it's not a ship you like is asinine.

Also, people can fall in love with more than one person. Toga fell in love for both Deku and Ochako, on different levels. And I argue Ochako did the same. Deku can love Ochako, Bakugou and Todoroki too. Bakugou can love Deku and Kirishima. People can fall in love more than once, regardless of who ends up with who.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what's canon. It never has. Fandom has never cared or let it hinder the way it operates on tumblr, ao3, etc. You still get meaningful dynamics in the source material. Relationships that shaped the characters and their story.

9-1-1 S8x04 Liveblog Notes

This episode starts and ends with Bobby being underestimated by Gerrard in completely unique ways. Amazing.

Underrated line: "So they took my house from me. Yes, it was humiliating. Well, I'm sorry, sweetheart, but I'm back." I really don't think Gerrard is fully gone. We know there will be more Hotshots + Brad this season. Gerrard is a man who survives out of spite, and there are depths of his hatred we don't even know.

I'm so curious about how Gerrard has, if I remember correctly, said mooks twice. Gerrard/Sal OTP.

As long as we're going to talk about Gerrard, I'm adding this here much, much later: awful, terrible people have good sides to them. This will always be true, especially for powerful people. I've seen a few different interpretations of "Tight End," but I'm going to be real with you all from someone who grew up in male spaces? This is affection. This is Old Guard shit. It is not good. It is the kind of preferential affection that tells you that you're on thin ice but you're special enough or good enough if you work hard, and you've been noticed. Your name will always be your strongest weakness. Someone has their eye on you. You can be called out by the leader something awful, but at least you have a name. (My coach's name for me was "Bruiser.")

Buck is terrible at golf. I feel like there was a lot of spec this episode about his outfit: that's just a golf outfit. Buck strikes me as the kind of guy who knows how to socially fake appearances, and Gerrard isn't calling him on his terrible performance here. NOTABLY: in terms of performance, Oliver Stark can act his way through terrible drives down the line with the addition of SFX and flailing with the net, but I'm still frustrated at how capable he was in the basketball montage in s7 after Buck is supposed to hate/suck at basketball.

Yes, you can be good at a sport and hate it. That's me with golf. That's Buck with basketball.

Someday, if anyone ever wants, I would love to nerd out about how they blocked and choreographed the basketball scene, because it DOES make me a little crazy.

The apartment Bobby and Athena are looking at is at least $2mil. It actually looks like several listings where I was trying to gauge new build in surrounding neighborhoods when I was writing "An Outlier."

Michael... plans. I find it a little weird that Athena would do it, a lot weird she would do it without Bobby. Bobby and Michael had a good relationship! But then Athena was excited! It's a weird way to navigate how Michael can't physically appear in the show anymore. It almost feels like a regression, because Bobby and Michael were so close. Michael would probably have reached out to Bobby if Athena reached out to him. I miss their made, intentional, yet triumphant family so much (including May and Harry).

I was SO into Chimney pointing out the obvious about the blueprints until he made it about the 118-- although his Gerrard impression was the unsettling kind of impressive.

The tiger would have simply become friends with me and I would have called 9-1-1 while we were chilling on the couch together. But I would have told them it was okay and to never come because I found my best friend forever.

Crazy that they had to use a tranq dart. I simply would have entered the apartment and said hello and the tiger would have recognized me as a friend and we would have left together laughing over shared interests.

I totally think Eddie violated HIPAA contacting an underage patient's parent without his OR his guardian's permission. Eddie also showed said parent photos of his son's injury that Eddie had taken without permission. The mother even clarified that she would not notify the father. For me, the biggest implication here is that Eddie's on-the-job performance (despite being impeccable during the emergency itself) could begin to suffer, or his ability to remain impartial in situations will continue to take hits before it gets better without Christopher.

Hermione never had a thing for uniforms, not in the way she'd heard other people talk about them. Certainly not in the way Harry would talk about his wife in her uniform. 

It wasn't like she couldn't see it. Ron had always been fit in his quidditch robes. But it wasn't drastically different. 

Though, well, she supposed that she had thought Viktor had looked quite dashing in his uniform at the Yule ball. 

Still, Hermione did not see the appeal of pilots and police officers, until about ten seconds ago when she walked in on Ron fidgeting with his new Ministry-issue Auror robes. There was just something about it. 

Maybe it was the stretch of the fabric across his chest or how it, impossibly, made him look even taller. Should could even argue that the way the collar was cut complimented his jawline, but that would mean she'd given it more thought than she cared to admit. 

Hermione leaned in the doorway, her arms crossed over her chest. She watched Ron tug and pull at the fabric and the way he adjusted his sleeve, looking proud and confident in a way she'd not seen him in such a long time. 

It was endearing, thrilling, and just a little hot. Well, more than a little hot. It was like being hit by a tidal wave when Ron noticed her and flashed a grin that could have knocked her over. 

"Like it?" he asked, his fingers brushing along the row of buttons on his tone chest. Hermione's eyes honed in on the motion that made her a little weak in the knees. "It's a little tight," Ron added when she was too distracted to answer. 

Hermione gave her head a little shake, trying to clear her thoughts while she hummed. "Mhm, looks good," she replied, her tongue swiping along her lip.  "Very- Uhm. Professional." 

She shifted her weight from foot to foot and the friction from that was enough to heat her face. "Dammit," she muttered under her breath while she flustered a little. 

It had been a long few weeks, Hermione told herself. They'd had little time together and the time they did have Ron was tired and sore from training. It was normal for her to have some pent-up frustration. Something they could work out later, when he wasn't busy. 

Hermione pushed her hair up, out of her neck to release some heat. Once there, she thought she might as well keep it up, so she twisted the curly mess and secured it with her wand, like she'd done a million times before. 

When she looked up after catching a stray strand, she found Ron looking at her. His lips pressed together, eyebrows slightly drawn as he swallowed thickly. 

"You can't do that," Ron told her, arms crossing light over his chest, the words taking her by surprise. 

Something about his tone stopped her from bristling, something in his look made her toes curl in anticipation. "Why not?" Hermione asks, her head tilting and her brows raising, trying to figure out where this was going. 

Ron's lips pulled into a knowing smirk and the energy in the room shifted. A draw that went unnoticed before luring her into the room, closer to Ron. "It's illegal," he said matter-of-factly. 

"Illegal?"

"Yes, ma'am. Very much so," he said and she recognized the cadence, the sudden undeniable authority that she rarely heard. They'd joked, in the past, that it was his Auror voice. 

It doesn't take Hermione long to decide to brush the strap of her top down her arm and step forward, hips swaying a little too much. She enjoyed the way Ron's eyes travelled down as she folded he hands in front of her, pressing her breasts together, deliberately making use of her low neckline. 

"I'm sorry, officer. Is there anything I can do to make up for it?" Hermione asked, her voice low and sultry, her teeth caught on her lower lip. Her eyes lingered on the way Ron gulped at that. 

He closed the distance with two long strides and leaned down to whisper to her. His lips brushed along the shell of her ear. "What do I do, 'Mione? Is this a muggle thing?" 

Hermione clasped her hand over her mouth in an effort to stifle the giggle that threatened to completely shatter the tension. She drew a deep, shaky, breath through her nose to regain her compose.

"I think it might be," she admitted and let out a breathless laugh. "Just pretend that you want to touch me-"

"I don't need to pretend." 

"Good, then just be an Auror on a case," she said and for a moment they're just there, too close for nothing to happen. His heat radiated through the thick fabric of his uniform.

Then Ron nodded and straightened up. He stepped back and Hermione could see him snap back into his role now that he fully understood what was going on. “What are you trying to achieve here, ma’am?”

He once again stepped into her space but this time there was something different about it, making her inch backwards. Like she needed to get away from him looming over her, somehow taller than he’d been just moments before. 

“I-I just don’t want to get into trouble. I’ll do anything,” Hermione stammered, her fingers trailing down her neck and catching on her cleavage, pulling the fabric down a little more and exposing the lace trim of her bra.  She didn’t even notice the door swinging closed until she heard the click and felt her back press against the cool, smooth wood. Her breath hitched when Ron’s hand rested next to her head, caging her in. “Anything?” 

“Anything to not get into trouble, sir.” 

“And you think that is going to work on me? You flash me a little skin and bat your lashes and just like that I’ll let you go?” Ron’s face was right there, just inches away from hers, his hot breath sending shivers down her spine. 

Hermione shook her head quickly, blinking at him innocently. “Of course not,” she replied, finding it difficult to meet his intense stare. She averted her eyes for just a moment like it would grant her some sort of reprieve. 

“Right you are,” Ron agreed and he used his free hand to guide her face back to his. “Turn around and tell me if you have anything of note on your person.”

“What are you going to do?” she asked, not sure if the fluttering in her stomach was anxiety or arousal. All she knew was that regardless of what it turned out to be, she wanted to follow his instructions. 

Ron helped her turn around, gently guiding her hands over her head and pinning her wrists together effortlessly with one of his. His full body pressed into hers when Ron’s lips found her ear once more. “I’m going to feel for anything dangerous you might be hiding. Just stand still and follow my instructions.” 

Hermione swallowed and nodded, leaving her arms where they were as his hands travelled downward, curing around her shoulders and brushing along her waist. The gentle touches raise the temperature in a not-so-gradual way. If she’d been hot before, she was on fire now. 

The first sound he drew from her was a gasp when, instead of down, his hands moved back up along her stomach to cup her breasts. He took his time weighing them in his hands, thumb brushing along her firm nipples. Breath hitching when he squeezed them and she could feel his hips press into her arse. Feel the outline of his hardening cock press into her thigh.

“I can’t wait to bury my face between these,” Ron muttered against her ear, peppering the soft, sensitive flesh behind it with kisses. “Nothing here, let’s see…” He drew out the last word while his hands wandered back down, making no prelude as to where they were going.  They were both starting to lose patience and interest in the little game they were playing. Too hot and bothered to keep up the charade. 

Hermione pressed her thighs together when Ron's’ fingers brushed along the expanse of her stomach and tutted in disapproval. “Spread your legs please,” he instructed when he slipped past the waistband of her trousers and dipped straight into her knickers. As if he knew he’d find a damp spot between her thighs. 

His momentum didn’t slow there, without hesitation he slipped one finger into her wet centre, making her clench around him in surprise. “Merlin Hermione, you’re so wet already,” he whistled appreciatively, slowly moving in and out of her. 

Her cheeks flushed, and she pressed her hips back into him, hoping for a reaction, to coax something more out of him now that he’d crossed that he’d broken that spell. Her name on his lips took them out of their play and into reality where she wanted nothing more than to—to put it frankly—fuck him. 

“Ron, can we?” Hermione nudged him with her hip and hoped to motion him to the bed. “I’m about ready to rip that uniform off you. So, maybe you should take it off before I vanish it,” she told him, turning around the moment he gave her enough space to move. 

He stood there, uniform askew, pupils blown out as he sucked her off his finger. Hermione thought to herself that if she wasn’t soaked already, that sight would have instantly done her in. “I need you on the bed,” Ron instructed and glanced at her trousers. “Without those.” 

Hermione did not need to be told twice and kicked off her trousers, tossing them in the corner to bother with later. By the time she sat on the bed, Ron was there too, tall and nude and hard. The sight of him making her mouth water. “Ready?” she breathed. 

“Ready,” Ron replied, his fingers brushing along her collarbone before settling on her shoulder, guiding her to lay back. One of her legs draped over his shoulder before Ron’s hands gripped onto her hips. 

He thrust into her in one smooth motion and she felt him bottom out, hips flush against hers. Both of them hissing and groaning. Hermione admired the stretch of his neck when his head tipped back. “Sweet Circe, you feel so good,” he moaned, starting with shallow thrusts, which turned into long strokes.

Hermione found the rhythm and started to meet his strokes with her own, his name falling from her lips over and over again. Never devoid of meaning or affection, never a mindless chant but a call from her soul to his, begging to be closer still. 

Ron leaned forward, his hands moving from her waist to rest against her stomach, fingers sliding up and trapped between her sternum and his chest when his lips found hers. Both of them sought more of each other. 

He swallows her moans and breathes into her, tongues sliding together, tangling in a now practised dance. Tasting the roof of each other’s mouths. Only breaking apart when she taps him. “Switch please,” she pants against his lips.

Then Ron did something she would never get sick of. He gripped her waist, knee planted firmly in the mattress as he effortlessly flipped her over, still buried deep inside of her. “Like this?” he checked, one hand massaging her arse while the other trailed along her spine.

“Perfect,” Hermione told him, rising onto her knees and moaning as she felt him hit a different spot inside of her, eyes rolling back in pleasure. “I need you fast and deep.” 

Her words were barely out of her mouth when she felt his large hands take hold of her hips, fingertips pressing into her flesh firm enough to leave bruises that she’d cherish for days. Ron set the pace, just as she’d asked, fast and punishing. He pulled her into him with every thrust, hips crashing together loudly. Every stroke hits the right spot, making her feel full. 

There was no time, no breath for words. Only moans and whimpers. She wound tighter and tighter, being dragged closer to her climax. Then the pendulum swung and she crashed, thighs shaking, stomach twitching as Ron chased after. 

They collapsed in on each other, him still filling her while his lips found the nape of her neck, sucking at the tender spot. He drew a strangled cry from her lips, a tired moan. Too blissful, too spent to speak.

For HxH, it's probably: The Soulmate Phenomenon - modern soulmate au in which Killua rejects Gon being his soulmate Time x Bomb - canon au in which Killua is taken by Pitou instead of Kite For non HxH, I would say Statues which is a she-ra fic in which Adora dies and Catra ends up living at Bright Moon with her grief.

Oh gosh the happiest??? I write a lot of happy endings but purely happy fics are a little harder to come by so I'm just going to focus on HxH fics: After x Glow - post canon aged up au of Gon and Killua cuddling nothing else but you - modern au in which upcoming musician Gon visits his long distance boyfriend Killua during the holidays Shotgun Lovers - modern au in which Gon proposes to Killua after a month of dating

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not often but there's been a few comments here and there about elements in my fics that some people didn't like. A lot of people were unhappy with Time x Bomb so that's probably the one I've gotten the most hate for.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Lol yeah I have but only with friends as an rp sort of thing and that was yearsssssss ago.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

I don't write a lot of crossovers but I think my daemon au series is the closest I've got? It's basically just HxH but with daemons from the His Dark Materials series.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I'm aware of and I hope I never will!

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes! I've had a couple of very nice people reach out to me, I'm honored that people liked my fics enough to want to translate some of them.

Killugon, obviously haha XDDDD the only other ships I would consider to be my otps are usuk (Hetalia) and gamkar (Homestuck)

15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

The Wild Card and Gold Stained Blue TTT^TTT The Wild Card is a hetalia cardverse au that was my first attempt at a multichapter fic and I just don't have the energy to continue it any more. I'm planning to post a final summary of the ending so at least it will have some closure for readers. Gold Stained Blue is a killugon musician au written out in like bullet point form across three different google docs because it's so ridiculously long. I never got to post any of it because I was too tired after typing all the bullets out so rip. Maybe one day I will post the rough draft just for fun lol.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I think I'm really good with dialogue and also one shots. I love writing requests too because I get to create a whole story that has to be told in just a few paragraphs.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I'm not too great with worldbuilding or coming up with non-prompt ideas. I always feel like my more original stuff doesn't make sense and it's too exhausting to flesh out.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I think it's cool but I wouldn't do it again for a fic of my own because I can only speak english and I do not want to butcher another language haha

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Maybe....sharkboy and lavagirl??? I loved that movie a ridiculous amount haha. But the first fandom I posted anything for online was Hetalia.

20. Favourite fic you've ever written?

This is so impossible to answer aaahhhhhh! I have a soft spot for all my long multichapter fics (Words That Water Flowers, Graffiti, Swan Feathers, Waiting On You) but my the most fun one shots were the most indulgent ones (5 Times Gon Was Jealous, steal x your x breath) and I also like how painting flowers for you turned out since it was a very different fic than my usual ones.

This fanfiction is born from my dissatisfaction with the way Kai was criminally underutilized in the TVDU. Honestly, I found him annoying at first, but he grew on me as season 6 went on. Thru Chris Wood's charming performance, Kai stole the show for me. I'll never forgive the showrunners for a lot of things, including underutilizing Chris Wood in this role & not allowing this broken king to have a real redemption arc.

On the topic of the showrunners, I'll never forgive them for how they did Bonnie Bennett or the Bennetts in general with how they were limited to magical plot devices for everyone else's use without any appreciative focus on their power & how it could really benefit them. Even though I love Bonnie & Kai, my otp endgame for her has always been Bonenzo, but I also adore Klonnie ❤️.

My AU changed and added plenty of lore around his coven & certain events. The plot follows the life of Bonnie's younger sister, Rosalina "Rose" Bennett-Ruiz. I go on to describe her below, but I'd like to state that she acts as Kai's antithesis as an innocent, fledgling witch. She's also Bonnie's support system. I always hated how the show often ignored that Bonnie lacked family around her that were unconditionally there for her. Bonnie's mom left when she was small, she lost her grams in season 1, and her father was a non-factor in her life until he returned... just to get killed off in front of her.

I wrote Rose & Bonnie's dynamic keeping in mind everything I hate about older sibling/younger sibling dynamics, like the one between Buffy and Dawn in BTVS. Bonnie deserves family that consistently supports her, encourages her to prioritize her well-being, and actually tries to lessen the existing load on her shoulders.

Another thing I kept in mind when adding Rose to my TVD AU is not to have her replace or take away Bonnie’s space in the plot. Now, I do give her Bonnie's plotline of being sent to the prison world in season 6, but this is essential to the story, and the way Bonnie was treated that season made me so sad that I have no problem taking traumatic experiences from her (of which she has more than enough) and giving them to Rose.

Rose was raised in Summersville, North Carolina. She was a child model until 13 when her father tragically died. She was the captain of her high school majorette dance team. Her life drastically changed when Bonnie arrived on her doorstep.

Rose was 16 when she & Bonnie would finally meet. Bonnie and Elena came to Abby for help with a spell. Rose was shocked to find that she had an older sister as Abby never mentioned Bonnie or the life she left behind in Mystic Falls. She was even more surprised upon finding out about her magical bloodline and that supernatural creatures walked the earth. Unlike Grams, Abby never mentioned magic throughout Rose’s life and even went as far to suppress her magic with by binding it.

After Abby is turned by Damon, she decides to leave her family to gain control as a fledgling vampire. Rose moves to Mystic Falls with Bonnie where she learns magic from her.

Magic doesn’t come naturally to Rose. But she often helps Bonnie with powerful spells, offering herself as a conduit for channeling together.

Admittedly having a 50% accuracy rate with her own spells. Rose’s confidence & focus are hindered when chanting and spells drain her much quicker even when she tries channeling the energy around her. Despite this, Rose is determined to improve, valuing her one-on-one time with Bonnie and spending late nights on her own practicing & memorizing spells. She uses her magic for good and wants to prove herself as a capable witch.

She excels at herb studies. Often experiments with potions and creates charms using the herbs they grow in their garden.

Her role in the Mystic Falls gang is the “Bennett witch in training” or “the bringer of baked goods” (according to Damon), since she often supplies their gatherings with fresh pastries. Everyone underestimates her power, even Bonnie. She tries to keep Rose out of danger unless she can’t help it.

Can be hard to read but that’s because he struggles with expressing his emotions which stems from his abusive childhood. He’s cold and relatively unfeeling with people, but once he lets someone in, he’s fiercely loyal and protective.

He can be observant, calculating and manipulative to taking advantage of someone and get what he wants

He’s a sassy man, often comes back with quick quips and has a natural sense of humor (typically dark humor)

When he’s comfortable, he never shuts up, has no filter and sucks with certain social cues. After being alone for nearly his whole life, will talk anyone's ear off without realizing they are not willing to listen

Kai can siphon all of a witch’s magic without killing them. He controls how the process feels - at its worst, a fast searing burn to a slight tingle. Overtime, a witch will regenerate their magic

High libido!!- He’s starved for touch and affection (though he would never admit that he needs anyone). Sexual desires reflect his sadistic personality as he enjoys dominating another person through absolute control and pain infliction

He is fluent in old Latin, often found in grimoires and other ancient texts. When he was young he’d get his hands on old grimoires and study them, all the time to himself allowing him to hone his knowledge of witchcraft and technique

Background:

The Parker family is the head of the Gemini coven. Its patriarch, Joshua Parker is the coven leader. Kai is the eldest child, being half an hour older than his fraternal twin, Josette. Unlike Jo, Kai was born without the ability to generate his own magic, instead siphoning magic from lingering spells, objects, or other witches. When he was young, he would naturally gravitate toward the magic of his sister, so Joshua quickly decided to physically isolate Kai from everyone for fear of his son's "defect" hurting others.

As fraternal twins born of the coven leader, Jo and Kai would be set to merge on their 22nd birthday, where the winner takes the other's magic and coven leadership and the loser dies and is absorbed into the other but with the risk of Kai's siphoning ability giving him an edge in the merge, Joshua and Viviane continued having kids until she birthed another set of twins that would merge instead.

Kai's upbringing was lonely, spending most of his time locked in his bedroom up in the attic. Following his father's lead, most of his family excluded and demonized him. As he grew, Kai learned to internalize the cruel labels they gave him. If they wanted a monster, they would get a monster and on his 22nd birthday, May 9th, 1994, he would finally act on his boiling rage and resentment toward his family, unleashing the hatred he accumulated through a lifetime of torment onto his siblings when Jo refused the merge. To protect the twins, she would relent to merge with him but the coven was waiting and with the help of Sheila Bennett they banished him to a prison world of complete isolation.

Each year that passed only added to his hunger for revenge, left with nothing to do but plan his escape and seizer of coven leadership. He grew to take pride in what he had done to his siblings and his status as a sociopath capable of killing anyone who gets in his way without remorse.

AU-Specific Lore:

Prison world Lore:

Prison worlds are created by Bennett blood sacrifice, meaning a Bennett must be bled to death so the gemini coven can channel her blood magic.

A prison world resets with the eclipse every 3 months.

Time works differently, so no one ages throughout their time there.

A prison world cannot create life so the only living inhabitants are those sent there or arrive via ascendant.

Kai is linked to his prison world so he can’t die. If something kills him, he’ll be out for a while depending on the damage but the magic will heal him back to life. Without Kai, the prison world falls apart so while he’s there, it sustains his life to sustain itself. Once he leaves, it ceases to exist.

The Ascendant - an ancient device created by the Gemini coven and a Bennett ancestor that only responds to a living Bennett’s blood magic. The ascendant is sensitive to magic in general, so even when the spell is done right, it will activate then fall apart. You only have one chance at the time of the eclipse to correctly do the spell, which Kai knows from experience because early on he tried collecting a vial of Bennett blood that he hunted down in a hospital and using Josette's magic he siphoned from a hidden dagger. Disappointment boiled over into rage when he did the spell beneath the eclipse, the ascendant disassembled, but he was not transported out.

The Gemini Coven Lair:

Exists as a interdimensional where the coven keeps ancient texts, grimoires, enchanted items (talismans, gems, ascendants, etc.), and materials for spells & potions

Infinite space that can be utilized by the coven leader: often includes a space for magic instruction, a library, spell casting, a gathering area for the coven, etc.

Accessed only by portal, which is summoned by a spell entrusted to high-ranking Gemini members

Hi...if you don't mind, can I ask something from MDZS? What do you think are Xue Yang and Xiao Xingchen’s greatest personality strengths and weaknesses? Why? What do you love about their dynamic? Since what moment that you start shipping them? What are your favorite personal headcanons about them? Sorry if you've answered these questions before.....

Thanks for the ask! I always love a good excuse to talk about my OTP!

To me, Xue Yang and Xiao Xingchen are a perfect match because their personalities are opposite but complementary. Their dynamic is so interesting because it's so obvious that they're meant for each other. Their interactions in Yi City clearly show that, if you take away the horrors of their past, they get along effortlessly and bring out positive qualities in each other that no one else can. Xue Yang becomes kinder and happier and Xiao Xingchen is able to share his burdens and have fun. The paradox that they could never have been together because what brought them together was what drove them apart only adds to the beautiful tragedy of it all.

Headcanons:

Xue Yang is the better cook by far, not because he can see, but because he actually has standards. Xiao Xingchen will make something nutritionally complete that tastes like shit and call it a day.

Xiao Xingchen earnestly offers to help Xue Yang learn to be a cultivator, and since Xue Yang doesn't want to use demonic cultivation in front of Xiao Xingchen and give himself away, he agrees and actually learns how to do it the traditional way for the first time in his life.

Xue Yang is left handed, which is why losing his left pinky was particularly devastating. When Xiao Xingchen teaches him to use a sword as part of the cultivation lessons, he learns with his right hand to better pass as a beginner. This is why he can dual wield so effectively.

Xiao Xingchen runs cold and Xue Yang runs warm. Xue Yang was extremely surprised when Xiao Xingchen was the one to suggest sharing a bed for warmth (he takes it as a proposition while Xiao Xingchen literally just wants the body heat, but they both get on the same page pretty shortly after that).

Shuanghua and Jiangzai's sword spirits get along really well.

Xue Yang does actually know that A-Qing isn't blind, he just goes along with it since he knows it would ruin her sense of safety and comfort if he actually exposed her.

Xiao Xingchen's internal monologue is surprisingly judgmental and not nearly as wholesome as you might think. That's why he finds it funny and not offensive when Xue Yang is unafraid to say those thoughts out loud.

Edit: Forgot to mention when I started shipping them... the answer is kind of complicated because I was primed to ship them before I even knew them. When they first showed up onscreen while my mother showed me The Untamed (this was the first version of MDZS I experienced), she asked, "would you believe me if I said they became a couple in the future?" and I was like "I hadn't thought about it but now I want to know how." So you can all thank my mother for being the original Xuexiao fan in my family.

Oh, hell yeah, I do! Not sure about what kind. It’s just, I don’t know, smut.

Maybe The World Goes Cold? But I am maybe releasing chapters too slowly, so I guess it makes sense the response isn’t as big.

I tried to do so with my brother a couple of times, but we never finished them. I don’t think either of us really understand how the co-writing process works.

Tbh, I always feel the most when I think about or see anything involving Whoufflé/Whouffaldi from Doctor Who. They were my OTP from 2013 to 2016. Might still be the case!

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

You know, I had ones I did want to finish, but now, I’m not even sure I want to.

Still, I guess Blackout, and Three Birds, One Stone held a lot of my attention for a few years. But with the fic content now being triggering for me, and with a brain injury, I feel as if I may have moved on.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I have been told my descriptions are incredibly visceral, and I might agree. I’ve been on the edge of my seat or emotional more than a few times during my editing process. I also like to consider the fact that I’m writing at all a strength given I have a brain injury that gives me memory problems and aphasia.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Well, I’d say say the memory problems and aphasia cause some weaknesses. I have caught a couple weirdly-worded errors and it’s slightly embarrassing. Does Omega shredding my outline multiple times count as a weakness? lol I suppose another weakess is spelling and forgetting words and struggling to find the right words. I often have to look things up. But as far as things like description, dialogue… I’m not sure I struggle there.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?

I’d take a crack at French! I used to be able to read and write in French very easily.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

The Lord of the Rings. I was 8.

First, his boss fight is probably my favorite in the game. I've probably beaten him as a furled finger close to 100 times. I believe I managed to no-hit him once, even.

I dunno I love his flying animations. He really seems to have weight and heft as he flies. It's a delight to watch. Plus those wings are outrageous.

As i've mentioned before, I find him being a narrative foil to Morgott really interesting. At first glance he seems like the most classically evil of all the characters in the ER catalogue (except maybe Rykard?). He kidnaps and tortures people. His goals are vague but he seems to want to usher in a God of blood and suffering. He has tortured the supposed purest of the Demigods- his child brother whom he wants to wed. Looking at Rivers of Blood and the blood pots, he's always had this strange, dark charisma that I love.

But literally scratch the surface and there's a deeper character there. He was abused himself. He suffered for so long. He was imprisoned for being a monster, and he embraced that role. Without his mother's guidance, he embraced suffering as an inherent truth to existence and feels no qualms about inflicting it on others. I feel there was a part of him that once wanted to champion the Order's spurned and oppressed. But if he'd accomplished his goals, there would have been little healing. He would have been a tyrant to rival Marika.

least favorite thing about them

While I loved the Miquella charm reveal, I do completely understand why others don't. Mohg is, unfortunately, blighted with the trifecta of unforgivable problematic character traits. I can understand why people would feel like they had the rug pulled out from under them when he was seemingly exonerated of those traits- and his supposed victim was to blame. 2 years after the base game was released.

He was always divisive, and SOTE muddying those parts of his character have only fanned the flames. It's unfortunate. Mohg is an interesting character, and while I think his relationship with Miquella is vital to his themes and role, it is only one part of him. But its the part that gets the most attention.

favorite line

Sadly Mohg doesn't have many canon lines. Of the ones that exist though, "You must abide alone awhile," is the one that has entered my lexicon lol. Nothing is funnier than telling the ferrets 'You must abide alone awhile' before leaving the house.

brOTP

I said it before, but Morgott and Mohg come immediately to mind.

Varre and Mohg somewhat fill this niche? Kinda? I do still feel Varre's relationship with Mohg is largely a mirror of Mohg's obsession and abuse. Varre was, after all, kidnapped into the Dynasty.

OTP

Mohg x Sir Ansbach at this point. I'm just weak for the loyal knight and their Lord dynamics all the Demigods seem to have.

Mohg x My Specific OC (Cyprus). I'm in my era of fandom where I want to see Mohg be with more Omen/hornsent partners. He sees being Omen as a blessing. Let him love an Omen!

Then finally, Miquella x Mohg in a sense. This one is weird because I don't enjoy it the same way I enjoy Ansbach x Mohg. But I do feel it to be an integral part of the canon. Mohg's themes of trauma and abuse and his nature being developed more by the rejection of his mother than as the creature he was born as is reflected viscerally in the relationship Mohg has (or thinks he has) with Miquella. It feels kind of hollow when fandom engages with Mohg's character but conspicuously leave out his deal with Miquella. Like this isn't me saying people HAVE to make Mohg/Miq a huge deal in fanworks. But scrubbing Miquella's existence from Mohg's story entirely sands down his overarching role in the canon if you get me.

nOTP

To me, Mohg is homosexual. I do not care for Mohg being shipped with women. To be clear, there’s nothing problematic about it. I don’t seethe at the sight of women getting with Mohg. It’s just that I prefer to indulge my HCs more. 

Trina x Mohg is my least favorite of all the Mohg-with-woman ships.

Again, Morgott x Mohg, too. As a lovely mutual put it 'it adds nothing' for me.

random headcanon

Mohg lays eggs. I will not elaborate.

Mohg coerced Ansbach into Mohgwyn by preying on his vulnerable circumstances. Just because Ansbach loved Mohg eventually doesn't change that he didn't exactly sign up of his own volition.

Mohgwyn pre-Miquella charm worked secretively to prolong the Shattering War. Both to prolong bloodshed and allow the hierarchy to destroy itself, but also to safeguard Morgott in Leyndell. Because if the other Demigods took the city, Morgott would fight to the death (canon tbh).

Morgott and Mohg kept in contact even after they parted ways. They shared a strong bond all their youth. Even if decades went between meetings, they still cared for one another.

Mohg was treated worse as a baby by Marika and her house because of his appearance. Morgott received some affection. Thus, when he was imprisoned in the shunning grounds he was better conditioned to re-earn and seek that approval again by championing the Order. Mohg never knew that familial affection. So he was drawn all the more easily to the Formless Mother for it.

If Mohg is ashamed by any part of himself, it's the behaviors that are ingrained in him by his torment in the Shunning Grounds. He is territorial and has irregular eating behaviors.

Mohg used to be a midwife in the Shunning Grounds.

unpopular opinion

I think I echo a lot of people here when I say that much of his fandom interpretations aren't to my liking. Since Mohg is a divisive character, there's a dozen ways he gets interpreted.

I don't like it when Mohg is made into a goofy comic relief character. It works in silly comics and jokey memes. But in more in-depth, serious works it's a shame he's too often relegated to this cringey funny uncle role. I feel like it's a big cope/defensive mechanism against fandom backlash. Like people strip him down of any rough edges to preemptively prevent harassment.

Again, Rykard, the character closest in the villain archetype to Mohg for me, is never flattened out as much as Mohg is. No one has to write Mohg as an incestuous rapist if they don't want but at least allow him some intimidation, bravado, charisma, and dignified competency?? Please??

13. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? This summer I started writing Amarantha's origin story, and I really want to finish it, but I keep getting sidetracked. Stories gnaw away at me until I get them out though, so I generally finish what I start. It's a sickness.

14. What are your writing strengths? I don't know? I've been told I write dialogue well. Sometimes I will act out character interactions because that's totally normal. I like descriptions too. Not sure I'm good at it, but I love a metaphor lol.

15. What are your writing weaknesses?  My comfort zone is with short fiction and poetry, so I worry about timing/not having a good enough plot/arc for longer fics.

16. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? It is fun, but hard. I speak several languages (poorly) so I try to sprinkle words in that I know.

17. First fandom you wrote for? I'm a trembling new born FF writer, so, ACOTAR. But long time reader. My first fan fic was maybe Harry Potter? (Surprise! A little Drarry grew up to be an Azris, lol)

My unpopular opinion about this character

He's not just a buzz kill, and he's not just Mr. Serious. Sure, he can be those things, but we see him grow and change in real time as early as episode one when he decides it's good for Korra to stay in the city! We see him *react* poorly to lots of things, but when he steps away and comes back, he chooses to *act* differently. He is so much more than just a strict dad archetype.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

I wish we got more Pema/Tenzin interactions. I wish we got Tenzin and Lin either fighting each other or fighting side by side more than the one time during the Sato raid. And I WISH he wasn't completely fine at Jinora's tattoo ceremony. Bumi was in a sling and Kya had a crutch. Tenzin was BEAT TO SHIT HARD TO BREATHE COULDNT EVEN STAND ON HIS OWN. Why was he perfectly fine?

Pema and Kya were holding down the fort at ATI waiting for harmonic convergence airbenders. I would have loved to see more of that. More speaking lines in general.

The unpopular opinion is: Thirteen is really a good character and Thirteen is the angriest Doctor, actually. She doesn't need to be shouting like a loon to be' Time Lord Victorious'.

She has her own fury.

And she gives a bad guy a chance, they get 2-3 warnings. And then the gloves are off.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

MOAR EPISODES. Just that Moar episodes and that Maxine Alderton wrote more episodes and became Chibnall's co-showrunner because I feel like she papers over the things Chibnall is weak at.

There are valid concerns about the writing but the overboard criticisms just go so overboard...

I wish Alderton wrote the Sea Devil episode. She would have killed it tbh.

I wish Chibnall was able to do a full 10 episodes for Doctor Who Flux like it was planned.

Thirteen's season should have been 13 episodes with a Special.
