Everything was changed. There was a spirit portal in the middle of town! and Lin was more than a little afraid of the gangs and criminal underbelly of the town using it to their advantage. They had already made good use of the vines until they realized Lin could find them easily using the vibrations to feel them and their forces.

But Lin could feel the spirit world.

Once again her city was thrown into utter chaos.

Lin sat on her couch alone her drink in hand as she closed her eyes and tried to find a peace that seemed long gone.

For the first time since her Uncle Aang had passed. Lin started meditating. It was something Aang had her do when she was stressed to center herself and align her emotions.

She had dropped the practice after he passed, too hurt by the reminder her time with him was over.

But now as she closed her eyes, the spirit energy stronger than ever in the city she could almost feel time seeping away from her.

Lin kept her eyes closed as she found that peace Aang had always bright her.

"You've done so well Lin, I'm proud of you."

Lin could swear she heard him say it himself and she knew it was her imagination. Words echoed from a happier time. But tears filled her eyes anyway.

She had done all she could to live up to her mothers name. To make her proud to keep the Beifong name in honor and strength. She had done all she could to protect Aang's family to protect the new avatar.

She could only hope he still felt pride in her as he had in life.
