Phoenix Fire

Touya and Harry bond over telling each other stories. They were both lonely kids, both spent long hours in complete isolation expecting for a voice in their head, so in an attempt to make each other feel less alone they started to spin stories. Stories about little boys finding their power and defeating monsters. Stories of heroes and magic that made both things seem less scary. Stories that filled long hours locked in a cupboard or a training room and made them forget the aches. They continue the habit as they grow older.

They get a dog, of course, a mastiff that thinks she is a lapdog and is that absolute sweetest thing. Touya makes sure she’s trained as both guard dog and service dog for Harry to help with his ptsd after the war.

They also get a snake, and incidentally Harry kept the ability to speak to snakes because Touya thought it was so cool when they were kids that Harry sort of… absorbed it through accidental magic without ever realizing it. This causes a lot of confusion after the war.

Harry is both officially named as a hero and officially retired as a hero on the same day. Two days after the Battle of Hogwarts. This actually offers him a fair bit more protection when he moves to Japan as they have far more support for heroes current and former than Wizarding Britain ever did.

Harry only ever gets one piercing (though he does get several tattoos) and it’s just the lobe of his left ear that he always wears a blue stud in. Touya has a matching one in green. Touya’s siblings make fun of them endlessly about them being wedding rings.

Stepdad Harry

Harry has nightmares all the time, and frankly never had that great of a sleep schedule to begin with, so it’s not rare for Bella to wake up in the middle of the night to get a glass of water and find him sitting at the table cradling a cooling cup of tea between his hands as he stares at nothing. After James it’s pretty common for her to come down after nightmares of her own to find a second mug of tea waiting for her.

Harry absolutely takes up knitting. It started as a suggestion from Hermione to build up strength in his hands again after cruiatus damage left over for the war and he found that he really liked it. He could rival Molly for sweater making ability. Bella cries when, after complaining about how much colder Washington is than what she’s used to, she finds a plush sweater sitting on her bed that is perfectly oversized in just the way she likes her clothes to be. She doesn’t remember the last time someone took care of her so willingly.

Charlie keeps trying to teach Harry how to drive and every time Harry whines and complains that the only vehicle worth operating is a broom. Harry never does get his license.

For all of Harry’s unending beef with Carlisle, he and Esme get along incredibly well. They trade gardening tips constantly.

Bella is of course a bit skeptical of her new step sibling, particularly with Teddy being so much younger than her, but the two for whom click almost instantly despite being so different. Teddy loves to drag Bella out with them to play outside and Bella is one of the few people that can get them to wind down and take it easy rather than rushing from one thing to the next. Both Charlie and Harry get misty eyed the first time they see the two of them barefoot and laughing as they dance together in the rain. Both of them acting like kids. Harry kicks off his shoes and drags Charlie out to join them, the rain hiding all traces of his tears even as he beams at his family who are all so alive and free in away he had never dared hope for himself.

But you have no idea how invested I would get if I wrote this AU. I am so unbelievably obsessed with this idea. You are merging two of my favourite fandoms into one and it would be so fucking JUICY oh GOD I NEED IT!!!

If you don't know and can't tell by any of my social medias, I am insanely obsessed with Twilight. My favourite ship is Edward x Jacob because they're are so fucking perfect for each other when you take literally 6 seconds out of your day to think about it.

In this AU, I have to think about the dynamic between Drarry and how that would fit into the love story in Twilight, because there are so many ways to see it!!

You have the obvious: Bella x Edward.

You also have the Twilight/Life and Death re-write with gender-swapped Bella and Edward, so: Beau x Edythe

But also, EDWARD X JACOB??!!? THEYRE FUCKING ENEMIES FFS. IT MAKES SENSE THAT THEY WOULD BE DRARRY.

Let's dissect this, shall we?

Bella = Draco, Edward = Harry? Not bad, I could maybe work with that.

Bella = Harry, Edward = Draco? Better! That I can get behind.

Edward = Draco, Jacob = Harry? I like this. I can see this. Maybe Ginny would be Bella in this scenario, although I can't see Draco ever having a crush on Ginny, so the relationship would be Harry has a crush on Ginny (Jacob has a crush on Bella) but Draco (Edward) in this case would be more interested in Harry than Ginny.

Ah.... Beau = Harry, Edythe = Draco? DING DING DING! I THINK WE HAVE A WINNER!!

And of course I am totally down to make it Fem!Draco !!! I am also VERY down to make it sapphic Drarry.
