this is what i looked like when i first got zr (really awful picture because i deleted most of my photos from around this time in my life), i feel like gary king gripping the clone of my childhood self by the chin “i’m so cute!”

i make myself SAD because i was so beautiful and i really believed that i wasn’t but when you tell children things they believe them!!

i downloaded the app roughly 5 years ago in a weird era of my life: 12, vegetarian, encyclopaedic knowledge of twenty one pilots’ music (that’s endured i can still recite most of their songs. i saw them live in 2019 it was cool as fuck i’ll admit). looking back, orthorexia feels like an appropriate name for what i was going through, eating my salads with no dressing and going for runs like i had any business trying to change my body.

long story short, i love my body now. i think it’s cool as fuck. i have a running app on my phone because i care about the story which feels like coming full circle. GROWTH.

HARD DISAGREE. HARD. honorifics are necessary.

they're a source of important nuances about characters' hierarchical relationships to each other, and they help to situate characters' places in the narrative. all that info is lost in translation to english a lot of the time. either this, or the translators have to find some other awkward way of clarifying it.

i don't know how many times i've seen confused commenters on anime titles i watch online asking, 'why are these two characters relating to each other in a way that doesn't seem to make sense?'

it's because they're siblings and the younger-looking one is actually older. or they're really close friends, or this one is the other's servant, or they're dating! and the subs aforementioned commenters are watching don't indicate this, since the fucking honorifics are missing.

Whenever subtitles feel the need to include honorifics, like -san, -chan, -kun, and -sama for example, I can't help but to cringe. Keeping the honorifics intact whenever anime and manga get translated just clutters up the sentences and make them sound off.

i was just thinking about ur au and thought about how in these frequent meetings with leo in run in the mill specifically during times where there's literally nothing to do, leo would just observe

leo would sit in his table (all alone. on his own.) while watching donnie interact with april. leo would feel sick to his stomach while wishing to interact with donnie the same way. he envies donnie, that he is capable of holding a conversation with a human (out of all people!) and not even putting an effort with own brothers. he envies april, a human, to be capable of showing kindness because thats not what humans are like, right? the baron taught him better. leo should know better.

but at the end of the day, donnie is leo's brother. he's family. i believe in the theory that all leos, no matter the universe, that he always puts his family first, that he cares. and yet, it would seem that donnie himself doesn't want to be family (despite how much donnie wants that as much as his brothers)

and again, they're family! aren't they supposed to get along? leo is discouraged, he is hurt (a vulnerability that leo despised to admit or show to anyone) and instead he feigns anger at donnie

i imagine that over time, leo would eventually realize what april and donnie are to each other. they're family. donnie would put april and splinter first before himself - leo knows what that is like. and finally a common ground between leo and donnie

i find it interesting how you basically made april the catalyst for leo's revelation. anyways sorry for dumping this on you, this is all assumption ahahha not even sure if i got it right. curious to see what you'll do with raph or mikey,,, or u already have done something and i missed it cuz i am an idiot lol

And I'm definitely planning on creating more Raph and Mikey focused content in the future!! I just started thinking of Leo's character in this AU and got all caught up in that lol. I find it easier to focus on one aspect of the AU at a time, so for now I'm stuck in the Leo-Brooding-In-A-Pizzeria-Arc 👍But I'm hoping to explore Raph's character soon :D

It's honestly amusing to me how this year Sweden kept making fun of Käärijä, how they kept the "haha, imagine Finland would've won last year, then there'd be milkmaids, Moomins and Käärijä as interval acts, wouldn't that be crazy" attitude for both semis and the final, and then proceeded to give us these absolute bangers of interval acts:

1. A song about EBU's spoke person wanting to bang Martin Österdahl (paired with continious booing from the crowd lmao).

2. Loreen, singing two different songs which sound completely the same, with the most hideous staging on Earth (I'm sorry, Loreen fans, but it looked like she got stuck in the dentist's chair).

3. Creepy AI (?) ABBA holograms. Sorry once again, but they were hard to look at, I'm glad they weren't there for long.

You know what? I WISH there were milkmaids, Moomins and Käärijä. That would've been really fun.
