sentient gotham post still suck in my head and i had more thoughts about the alfred side of things
imagine that you are Something. you don't quite know what that Something is. maybe you used to and you've forgotten or maybe you never knew in the first place but either way, you don't know what you are and so you have never met another person (?) like you. you've had an existence full of love and joy but you've also been so lonely. so incredibly lonely.
and then you meet thomas and martha wayne. it's random, you bump into them in the street - maybe she spills her coffee on you and insists on buying a new one, maybe he drops his wallet and is genuinely so thankful that you gave it back. it's one of those meetings that isn't supposed to mean much in the grand scheme of things but if there's one thing you've learned during your long time here, it's that sometimes significance lies in the mundane.
they don't see much of your face, not enough to remember it, so when you find out that their butler has passed on and the son supposed to take over came into tragic trouble on the way over, you take the chance. your name is now alfred pennyworth, butler to the wayne family.
time goes on and they have a little boy. you were never supposed to stay this long - not because of some misguided refusal to get attached (attachment is a part of life and if there is one thing you are good at, it is living), but because there is something Wrong with this city; something primordial but never seen before, something ominous but not quite evil, something sinister but not quite bad. a city that is more than a city. a city that is less than a city.
your instincts are warring with each other but you ignore them all. for them. for thomas and martha and little master bruce.
and then there's an alley and a gun and the blood along the concrete seeps into the city itself and changes it, awakens it, resurrects it. the city that is more than a city. the city that is less than a city. it's his now. it's bruce's city, you know it in the same way you know a lot of things - inexplicably but with certainty. you know it in the same way that you know you should run. you should run right now and never look back. you should forget about gotham and thomas and martha and bruce--
bruce. you see him there, when you go to drive him home, with a too large coat over his shoulders and eyes suddenly much older than they were a few hours prior. he is different now, beyond the tragedy and trauma. he is Something else. a boy that is more than a boy. a boy that is less than a boy.
imagine that you are Something. you don't quite know what that Something is. maybe you used to and you've forgotten or maybe you never knew in the first place but either way, you don't know what you are and so you have never met another person like you. not until now. not until you look into the face of an eight year old ancient being whose voice cracks around the word 'alfred' and suddenly your existence is just a little less lonely.
your name is alfred pennyworth, and it will be this until the day you die.
#important that you know this is supposed to resemble bruce seeing dick and thinking 'this kid is is me fr. i'm keeping him.'#also the pennywaynes is intentional. he saw them in the street and instantly became lovingly obsessed with them#they knew his name wasn't really alfred. they knew he was Something. they just also loved him.#it is also important that you know gotham isn't evil#alfred views gotham the same way he views batman - a monster that he wishes would free his son yet still a monster that he is grateful for.#had to stop here because i was about to go into alfred watching bruce adopt his kids#and i Could Not get into the jason of it all right now. watching bruce tear himself apart to bring him back#wishing he wouldn't but knowing that he would do the same if it was bruce.#and then onto giving up his power for bruce. insane about this btw.#alfred pennyworth#bruce wayne#batman#batfamily#sentient gotham au#pennywaynes

Message to the past
Was one nice family dinner in the Wayne Family really possible? Jason was starting to think it wasn't. The evening started out so well, for once he did not have any sort of beef with Bruce for the moment. He got to spend time with Alfred preparing the dinner. Neither Demon Brat nor Pretender were at each other's throats because of a case yet and there was no argument about to happen with Dickie either and he didn't feel like avoiding Bruce. Did he mention he didn't feel like leaving the Manor at the first sight of his old man?
Everything felt like it was gearing up to be a nice and well deserved family dinner with all his siblings being in one space for once.
That was until a Lazarus Green portal opened and a fucking silver green tin can smack dab hit him square in the face. Causing him to fall backwards in his chair and hitting his head painfully on the floor. Why didn't they have carpet in the dinner room again? Oh right, someone -one of his siblings- got mud all over it after patrol and Alfred decided the dinner room didn't need it anymore.
Once the first shock of what had just happened passed. They got to inspect the tin can and found a letter inside it.
Dear future Dad,
Gramps Clockwork spoilered that there is a mess up in the timeline because of the speedsters and I can fix it like this, which is why I am writing this. Please pick me up in the attached location marked on the map. My current self is in need of saving and I honestly would like to spare myself at least a little of the trauma that's about to happen.
Also please bring some explosives. You always regretted not blowing up a corupted govermental facility, so here is your chance of doing so! Be proud, though. I blew up a bunch of them in the future, with supervision, of course, from my uncles and aunts, so great grandpa wouldn't worry.
Please pick me up? Thanks if you do!
Your future adopted son.
PS: please ignore any complains my current self might have. I was in server need of a real parental figure and as you like to say as stubborn as grandpa.
PSS: also please stop antagonizing grandpa about my adoption. It's bad enough that you had to fight him over it in the first place.
PSSS: please bring great grandpa's cookies, I beg you please! I swear I will do all my schoolwork and be a straight A student if you do!
The girls of the family started to pout while the boys exchanged glances. Jason narrowed his eyes at his brothers. There was a silent argument happening and Bruce was watching them all also.
But if there was one thing Jason was sure about. It was that the tin can smacked him in the face. Which meant the letter was his and the time shenanigans arson kid with sass was going to be his kid. His brothers AND Bruce can fight him over that.
Like the kid has said in his letter.

"Yes, my mom is a witch. Yes, my birth parents sold me to her. No, I do not hate her. She treats me like I'm her own son. Does that answer all your questions?"
Tim asked with crossed arms. Batman and his family recently discovered you, his witch mum, and now refuse to let it go. They've been badgering him all day.
"How does that work? How did Bruce adopt you if you already have a family?"
Dick was so confused. How did Tim hide you for so long? How did he sneak out when he lives with a family of detectives? Tim merely sighed and explained,
"My mom told me it's okay. She said I'm magically hers, so a sheet of paper means nothing. She knew my path would always lead me here, so she didn't stop me. She trusts that I will make good decisions for myself."
You had kissed his forehead that day and gave him a hug before telling him he's always your baby and you want him to follow the path he forges for himself.
"Can we meet her?"
Dick asked. He wanted to know more about Tim's secret mother figure. Why did Tim keep you from them?
Tim paused. He didn't know how good of an idea that would be. He loved you dearly, but you are introverted like him. He wouldn't want to meet the family, especially with how huge it got over the years, so why would you want to meet them? Tim conceded,
"I'll ask her, but she would have to come here. Her home is impossible to break into with all the wards and all the magic she poured into our home -- that's irrelevant. I'll ask if she wants to come over. Don't be surprised if she popped in during dinner."
With all that said, Tim was out the door, leaving the family with millions of questions. They knew they wouldn't be able to trail Tim without him knowing. You seemed impossible to reach anyway.
You seemed to ponder Tim's request for what feels like forever. You love your solitude, but you decided that you love Tim more. You asked him seriously,
"Do you want me to go or are they forcing you to ask?"
Tim considered his feelings for a moment. Does he want to keep you selfishly to himself, or does he want to share? He's not sure. He's positive you would hit it off with Bruce, and that might lead to you joining the family and eventually tying him to them permanently. He admits,
"I'm not sure. You'd love them, but I don't trust that you'll be treated with the respect you deserve."
Your gaze softened and you lightly kissed his cheek. You told him,
"Little dove, you do not have to force me on the family if you don't want to. I love you and you are the only one to make this decision."
He didn't like that you turned the decision onto him, but he should have expected as much. You hated making decisions. He decided after a couple of minutes,
"I... I want you to meet them."
You took his hand in yours and teleported both of you into the manor. Tim hugged you tightly the entire time it took to teleport. He loved you, but teleporting sucks to experience. It feels like reality itself warped like one of the circus mirrors and suddenly poof.
You're standing in the middle of dinner, like he told them you would do. Tim's hand was still in yours as you looked through the room. Your eyes finally landed on Alfred, and you walked over to him.
"Well, it's lovely to meet you. You must be Bruce."
You took Alfred's hand in yours and shook it with a kind smile. The kids all snickered at the offended Bruce. It's partially true that Alfred is a father figure, but ouch.
"Miss, master Bruce is at the head of the table."
You didn't seem embarrassed at all as you walked to Bruce with Tim trailing behind you.
"I'm sorry about my abrupt entrance. It's good to meet the part-time father to my little dove."
Bruce watched you carefully. You seem like a nice person. No wonder Tim turned out so kind.
You sat down with Tim on one side and Dick on the other side. You took a deep breath before saying,
"Ask your questions."
Tim gave you a shocked look. You evaded questions like the plague. Why is it so different now?
Well, it's different because your Timmy cares about them, and they would obviously have a lot more personal questions than questions from a stranger.
"How did you meet Tim?"
Dick asked at your side. You smiled and looked at Tim with soft eyes. You delved into the story,
"He must have been two or three when his parents found me in the forest outside my house. Everybody knows about the witch in the woods who grants wishes for a price."
You sighed. You hate your reputation, but there's nothing you can do about it. You continued,
"A couple appeared with a toddler. I originally thought they would ask for an illness to go away in their child, but instead they offered the toddler holding his mother's hand in exchange for riches."
You frowned. Tim knew you always get upset by the story and wrapped an arm around you protectively.
"I thought to myself. 'Why would anyone offer me their child?' But, I ultimately decided he would be better off with me, so I accepted. I took tiny Tim in my arms, and he melted into my arms. It seemed like he had never been hugged before me, and it broke my heart. The magical contract was signed, and the couple walked off child-free and rich."
All eyes turned to Tim. He told them a different story of his childhood, but what did they expect? For him to disclose, his parents abandoned him to a witch and subsequently was raised by said witch? Sure, there are crazier backstories, but that would look terrible from any angle. It would look like a kidnapping when it was really more like saving. You saved Tim from the pain of growing up in a loveless home. You save him from the pain of cold isolation. You raised him, praised him, and adored him. He was your child, no matter the DNA.
You didn't even want kids until Tim was in your arms. You became the mother all children deserve to have regardless of your lack of desire for children.
The story seemed to satisfy most of their major questions. Jason eventually asked,
"Why did you let him join us?"
You smiled and ruffled Tim's hair affectionately, who grumbled in a very disgruntled tone.
"This one loved Batman, and he thought he needed a Robin. I told him to follow his own path. He'll always be my son, both magically and in our hearts."
Bruce was beginning to like you. However, they were all a bit salty about the fact that none of them have a mother. Dick grinned and elbowed Bruce.
"That just means you have to give us a mother to make it even. Tim can't be the only one with a mom."
You laughed, but Tim looked like he was contemplating bringing you into a relationship with Bruce. Bruce asked,
"Would the magic transfer if you got married?"
You shook your head. You decided to be kind and elaborated,
"Tim is strictly mine for as long as I live according to the signed contract I made with his original parents."
Bruce didn't like that Tim isn't his son and never will be. You gave a contemplating hum. Technically, there is a way, but it would never happen. You weren't very interested in the second option. Still, you told him,
"Unless we married magically. Then we are tied together, and that means Tim would be tied to my husband indirectly. He would still have no real authority, but he'd have a small claim over him."
That caught Bruce's attention. He has a chance to keep Tim more permanently. He asked,
"What does it mean to marry magically? What's the difference?"
You quirked an eyebrow at him. Why was he so curious? You didn't have plans to marry. Then again, you didn't plan to have a child either. Sure, you've helped a few people with their fertility issues, but it was a joke to ask for their firstborn.
"We sign a contract that would tie our souls together. We could sign a legal document as well, but the magical contract must be signed for the claim to settle."
Tim whispered in your ear soft enough for only you to hear,
"Mom, will you marry Bruce? I want to be his son."
You straightened in your chair. You were startled by the request and asked back equally quietly,
"Are you sure? This is your soul, Tim, not just some flimsy legal document."
Tim nodded. He already figured he'd be part of the family, but he wanted to make it more permanent.
"I'm sure, mom."
You sighed softly in your spot. You were so weak for your Tim. You'd give anything to make him happy. You frowned before conceding,
"If you can convince him."
Tim kissed your forehead gratefully and began negotiating with Bruce and feeling out the situation. Dick took your hand in his and said to you light-heartedly,
"I'm gaining a mom after all."
And that is how the Batfamily gained Batmom. What a mess.

Alfred: I don't understand. What are we watching? Bruce [Pointing at a camera footage on the TV]: Okay, look. I fell yesterday at the market. Dick and I have been having a little disagreement as to what happened. Just watch. I stop to fix my shoe, and then Dick… Right there. He makes way for this very attractive woman, whom he conveniently leaves out of his retelling of the story. Now, right here, Dick backs up, pushes his butt into the cart, pushes me into the cans. Do you see that? It's all his fault! Just like I said! I was right! Suck it! Cass: When did you get this? Jason: Oh, my God. That's why you wanted to come separately. Steph: You went to all that trouble just to prove you were right? Bruce: It really wasn't that much trouble. I went to the store, found your friend Jordan, the bag boy, who got me the manager. He gave me the address of the off-site security office. I filled out some paperwork. Sally faxed it to corporate. Three minutes later, I'm buying a pack of DVDs and burning a copy. Piece of cake. Tim: …It's like a sickness. Bruce: What? None of you believed me, so I got proof. You should all be sucking it right now. Kate: Please stop with the "sucking it," Bruce. They're children. Clark: Yes, children are very impressionable. You'll never know what they'll pick up. Lois: Ugh! Okay, Clark, I'm sorry that I blamed it all on you, okay? But we both need to look at our actions. I mean, if we're thinking about adopting another baby, then we need to-- Diana: You're adopting another kid? Clark: That's not the way you make an announcement! Banners! Banners! [Puts on music] 🎶Ah, let's give the boy a hand 🎶 Jason: What the hell's happening here? Dick: Is that from Footloose??? Clark [Turns off the music]: Really, Lois? You couldn't even share telling our friends. Kate: Why are you upset? This is such good news. Lois: No, we're a little on edge because Conner has been acting out, like he doesn't want a sibling-- Clark: Yeah, because Lois taught him to hate sharing. Lois: And, or, because Clark wears him like a fanny pack. Alfred: Oh, stop blaming each other. No kid wants a sibling. I remember Bruce hated his cousin so much, he stuck her in a dryer when she was two. Kate: You put me in the dryer? Bruce: …I did. But it wasn't 'cause I hated you. My friend Thomas said that it wouldn't run with a kid inside it, and I knew it would. I was right. Dick: Good governor. It's been going on since you were five? Bruce: …Oh, my God, it is a sickness. What would make me have that need at such a young age? Kate: How long was I in that dryer? Because- I-Is this why I'm afraid of tumbling? I had to quit gymnastics! Dick: A childhood without tumbling?! [Faces Alfred]. You knew this, and just stood by and did nothing? Alfred: Okay, okay. What's done is done. All you can do is learn from your mistakes. And in that spirit, I would like to propose a toast to our young master Damian. This week, he did something he wasn't supposed to do, like we all do-- Diana [Interrupting]: Like we all do!. Cheers, my young warrior! Alfred: No. Not yet. Master Damian stood up like a man. He admitted he was wrong, and he took his licks. And I'm very, very proud of him. Diana: Aaaand now we clink. Alfred: No, we clink when I say we clink. So Master Damian made a mistake, but he didn't take the easy way out. He's got guts. He's got integrity. And as far as I'm concerned, he's the best-- Damian: Okay, stop, stop! I didn't do any of that! Miss Diana broke into the locker and threw the necklace inside, and then we ran away like cowards! I'm sorry, Alfred! I'm sorry! Alfred: Aha! I knew it. I was right! I was right! Everyone: … … [In realization]: Ohhhh. Makes sense. Alfred: … [Drinks in silence].

Had an idea but I forgor it so here's a different one
Bruce Wayne, concussed and on several strong painkillers, socializing with socialites from outside Gotham. They ask him about his kids and joke about how they all look so similar to him.
His brain, moving at about 3mph, does not register that his kids were ADOPTED (safe for one) and answers their questions as if he gave birth to them, forgetting he also doesn't have the facilities for that (unless you want him to- we love old trans people)
"Master Bruce I really must insist-" Alfred tried for the fourth time in seven minutes, Bruce had counted, reaching to push him back to bed and pull off the suit jacket he had only moments before helped Bruce put on.
"'M going Alf." Bruce grumbled back, rubbing a bleary hand over his eyes. "There's no use in putting it off. Don't have a good excuse and.." He grimaced. "They need to see me. It's been a while."
Alfred opened his mouth to protest again, even going so far as to move in front of the door to block his exit. "You are on far too many medications Mr. Wayne, not to mention a concussion! You simply cannot."
Bruce's lips twitched it amusement. It was a rare day when Alfred's composure was rattled to the point of calling him Mr. Wayne, and while Alfred was admittedly very strong, there was no way his physical blockation of Bruce's path would actually stop him.
"Alf." Bruce began gently, and the butler scoffed, rolling his eyes as he moved out of the way, striding down the long hallway. "Well. I see my advice isn't heeded. As always."
Bruce threw him an apologetic smile, heading for the main door. "Love ya Alfie!!" The butler snorted, but Bruce could tell he was softening.
"Call if you need boy." Alfred murmured. Bruce grinned, offering a wink as he pulled the door open. "I will." He promised, sliding into the backseat of his limousine, heading to the Gala.
He hissed as the needle broke his skin, biting his lip to prevent any further sounds as the anti-biotic worked its way into his system. Alfred would most definitely have protested its use, especially as Bruce tossed back a handful of other added painkillers, but if he was being honest, he needed them to get through the night.
"Thanks Hank. Tell your wife I said hi and grab her a bouquet on your way home. On me." He patted his driver's shoulder as he climbed out. Hank grinned, tipping his black cap.
"You always make me seem like such a good husband Mr. Wayne, I appreciate it. Have a good night." Bruce grinned back, stumbling slightly as he moved towards the doors, using the car to stabilize himself.
"You give me too much credit, send your boys some love and you have tomorrow off, try to actually use that baseball glove I gifted you." Hank chortled, setting the car into drive. "Will do sir. Good night." Bruce nodded the same back, watching until the car pulled away fully to stumble up the steps.
"Maybe those pills weren't such a good idea." He mumbled to himself as he made it to the doors, pulling them open to walk inside, heading straight for the table laid out with food. Of course, one couldn't enter a Gala without greeting the hosts, and he barely made it two steps before he was intercepted.
"Mrs. and Mr. Ketch. How lovely to see you." Bruce offered a bow, bending too low before rocking back upwards. Mrs. Ketch was smiling at him, a lovely, true smile that Bruce noticed tended to happen whenever he greeted the woman first instead of the man. Mr. Ketch was frowning, but more at Bruce's bizarre drunken act than any offense towards being placed after his wife.
"Are you alright, Wayne?" He asked, and Bruce hated that he actually liked the Ketch's, because there was genuine concern in the mans voice. Another reason why he had come.
The Ketch's were new money, self made, and trying to blend in with the old elites, though Bruce had to admit they never would, they were just too good, too kind, too sincere.
He wondered, dimly, in the back of his foggy, drug addled mind, if perhaps they'd finally tire of all the snide comments, rude looks, sneers, and give up on their well meaning charity that they had chosen Gotham for. He hoped they wouldn't. He liked having actual good conversation at these dull events.
"M fine, truly." Bruce answered, a few seconds too late, smiling lazily. "Might've had a few." He tried his best imitation at a drunken smile, wincing as he realized it was dangerously close to how he really felt.. tipsy. Off balance.
Robert, because that was his name, he had told Bruce his first name instead of demanding he call him Mr., frowned a little in concern, and before he knew it they had herded him to one of the seating places, settling down by him.
"How're the kids?" Mrs. Ketch asked, handing him a glass of water that Bruce gratefully accepted. "Amazing." He answered. "Splendid. They're always doing so well. They don't see it though." He frowned at his glass, wondering why that was.
"They're so amazing though. It just doesn't make any sense," He sat up, leaning forward to look at the couple in front of him intensely. They both had their eyebrows raised in surprise, but leaned forward in tandem, intruiged.
"Because see, they're so brilliant, and lovely, and smart, really I think they're the smartest people in the world- like ever. And Dickie, he's so kind and sweet and nice, and he's got a few problems and I'm sorry about it but he's really just amazing and an all around good person, I really oughtta try and be more like him, and oh he's got my eyes, im so glad he got my eyes, but i love his nose too, its nothing like mine- anyway Jason too- whoo he got my height im so happy for him- he also has my eyes! they all have my eyes actually, except cass, and damian, but like he's so brilliant and smart and he was such a good kid, he is now too- oh he doesn't like me calling him kid, but he'll always be my baby, and oh i cried so much when he died, but he better now, oh and Timmy, oh timmy is so smart. Soooo smart like genuis level, and he's wayy smarter than me, wayyyy smarter, and alfie says he has my hair, but i dont see it- i think he got my jaw though- and then Cass oh Cassandra My baby girl she's lovely and sweet and a charmer, beautiful girl, so is Barbara, but she won't let me say that to her, no no, but she is, she's so pretty and smart and quick, she scares me sometimes but I love her, such a good girl yknow? And Stephanie? Oh she and Tim need to make it official so shes mine. mine mine mine. I need another daughter you know? Too many boys. Equality of men and women at home. I need them home. And then Duke. hes so lovely too. Oh and Damian. Damian took some adjusting but they're all so lovely yknow? I remember the day they were born so vividly. I was so happy. I love them so much. It hurt, of course, but what is that to the joy they bring now yknow?"
Bruce took a sip of his drink, nodding thoughtfully as he leaned back. Mrs. and Mr. Ketch blinked a few times, opened their mouths, closed them again, and leaned back as well, exchanging glances.
"Yes. Well. Quite." Mr. Ketch cleared his throat. "Bruce, perhaps we should call you someone? To take you home?" Mrs. Ketch nodded her agreement.
"Come on sweetheart, let's get you home. You need to go to bed and.. and sleep this off." Bruce nodded, letting them help him stand and guide him to the door as Mr. Ketch called someone.
"Yeah. I like bed. And sleep. Oh- but I can't. Uh-uh, I promised Dickie I'd call him." Bruce nodded, turning to head back inside as though that would help his quest.
Mrs. Ketch grabbed his arm and gently, but firmly, led him back outside. "Rob just called him sweetheart, he's on his way."
"Oh." Bruce nodded. "Oh. Thas good." Mrs. Ketch nodded her agreement, rubbing his back soothingly. "I like that." Bruce hummed, letting his eyes close. "Its like what my mother used to do." Mrs. Ketch looked at him in surprise, hand stilling for a second before resuming.
"Really?" She asked gently. Bruce hummed in confirmation. "Oh yes. Yeah she did. You do it well. You'd make a good mom. Just like me. Well, I don't make a good mom." At that he frowned at the ground, biting his lip. "But I try."
Mrs. Ketch smiled, turning them as a car pulled up. "Yes. You do. And you do it marvelously Bruce, truly. That's all we can ever do. Try." Bruce nodded his agreement as the door opened and his eldest emerged, rushing to his side.
"Bruce!" Dick looked genuinely worried, grabbing his shoulder. "You alright?" His son's eyes were searching, scanning his body.
"Oh hes fine." Mrs. Ketch waved with a smile. "Just a few drinks. I think it'd be best he go home though, sleep it off." Dick nodded his agreement, smiling at her. "Yes. I think thats best. Thank you." She shrugged, waving it off.
"Of course. It's what he would have done for me." Dick lowered Bruce into the passenger seat, heading for the drivers. "Bruce." Ketch tapped the window, leaning down. "Hm?" Bruce tilted his head, rolling it down.
"I'm pregnant." Bruce waited, jaw dropping slowly as the words connected in his brain. "You are?" She nodded, a small smile crossing her face.
"Yes. You're the first person I've told." She glanced nervously over her shoulder, to where her husband was waiting on the steps. Bruce reached for her hand, clasping it in his own.
"You'll make an excellent mother. And he will make an amazing father." He promised. She smiled, biting her lip anxiously. "You think?" Bruce nodded. "I know." At that her smile softened, and she patted his cheek.
"Thank you. And, for what it's worth Bruce," She glanced past him to Dick, who was kindly pretending not to listen. "I think you make an excellent mother."

Brotherly Love P.t 2 J.T
Jason Todd x Al-Ghul/Wayne reader(platonic)
Brotherly Love Masterlist <- right here
Gender Neutral
Summary: Time at your father's has broken apart your relationship with your brother, but what about your adopted brother?
Warnings: insecurity, mentions Scarecrow and his toxin, mentions of murder.
~☆~
You were sitting down in the library, reading one of your favorite books, and sipping the tea you had made just a few minutes beforehand. The ache of being alone had finally disappeared weeks ago, you don't even know if Damian has left the Batcave, you wonder if he too missed how things were before you came here.
A sound of footsteps alerted you before the large library doors opened, it was that man that you had seen talking to Alfred, the guy with the familiar eyes. You watched as he closed the door behind himself, his eyes caught your own as he glanced at you with no readable expression. You kept eyeing him as he passed the couch you were sitting on and headed straight for the bookshelves, he reached a hand up before grabbing onto a worn out book.
He turned around and started heading towards the couch opposite of you, you quickly looked away, staring down at your own book as an attempt to look busy.
As he sits down and opens his book you look up again, trying to figure out why he looks so familiar, and notice the book he has is green, and the spine is falling apart, the title has worn away probably from how old the book was.
"Y'know it's rude to stare." The mysterious man across from you commented, snapping you out of your daze making you look back up at his face that was now facing you.
"Who are you?" You questioned, still confused about what looks so familiar about him, the man across from you chuckles, and his face breaks out into a smile confusing you even more.
"Straight to the point huh?" He he chuckled out again, "well I could ask you the same, you came here with that brat didnt you?". You wanted to snap back, defend your brother from this random man that seemingly knew him.
"Yeah...I did" you mumbled out looking back down at your very own book. The change in attitude seemingly left the man a little lost, and not knowing what to do, he shifted a bit and gripped his book a little tighter. His lips pursed and his eyes darted to things around him as he sat in the awkward aura that had taken over the enormous room, his eyes once again looked at you as he thought about what to say to lighten the mood back up.
"My names Jason." He introduced finally answering the question you asked him, his eyes softened and the corners of his lips slightly rose when you looked back at him.
"(Y/N)." You responded, your brain was scouring for anything that could pinpoint why you think you know him, but sadly, no knowledge of 'Jason' had come up.
"Yeah, you're the old man's kid." He stated, somehow knowing you, just like he knew Damian, seriously who was this guy? He must have sensed your confusion because he answered your question immediately.
"Bruce took me in when I was a kid, and I have some history with Talia."......was this guy in your head or something what is going on?
"The library was my favorite place when I first moved in." Jason spoke, talking to himself as he looked back down at the book in his hands.
"Mine too." You mumbled....
~☆~
The two of you sat there until Jason had gotten about halfway through his book, he had then run down to the Batcave and you hadn't seen him since, when you asked Alfred he told you that Jason had come by to talk and to borrow something from Bruce. Later that night after dinner you ran to catch up with Bruce before he got to the Batcave, hoping to get answers to some questions.
"Bruce!" You called out, not really on the term 'father' yet like Damian is. Bruce stopped walking and turned to look at you, waiting for you to catch up to him.
"What is it, Y/N?" He questioned once you finally reached his side, after putting out his arm for you to hold on to he started walking again.
"Is Jason another one of your adoptees?" You questioned, your head turned up to look at Bruce who was looking back down at you with his eyebrows raised.
"Well yes he is, my second....why?" He answered, curious as to why you would bring up Jason.
"Well he came by today." Your statement took the older man by surprise, Bruce hadn't even known Jason had been at the Manor, after their most recent fight that caused Bruce to explode and say some things he didn't mean Jason had cut off his communication with the rest of the family. Surely this visit meant that he's ready to speak again, hope filled Bruce, maybe Jason would forgive him so that he can have his son back again.
~☆~
Before you knew it you and Bruce reached the Batcave, and he looked down at you yet again, eyes holding nothing but love, offering a small smile he hesitantly let go of you. As you turned around to leave, Bruce had stopped you to ask
"Do you know what he came for?". You shifted your body to face the taller man yet again, this time his eyes were holding a look of sadness, begging you to say that he came for his father.
...
"He came to get something from you, then he sat in the library and read with me." You answered, before staring your journey back to the kitchen to help Alfred with dishes.
~☆~
Bruce finally had time away from Wayne enterprises, and Dick was going to be in town for the next week because of a case, seeing an opportunity, Alfred had put together a dinner and invited Tim and Dick. Which lead you to where you are now, sitting next to Dick and Tim, Dick was talking to Damian whilst Tim was talking to Bruce about business at Wayne enterprises.
Conversations were cut short when Alfred had come out with all of the food, everyone had collected what they wanted and started completely new conversations with other people at the table, except for you, you just sat there staring at the food you were eating.
A knock at the door caused everyone to stop their conversations yet again, curiosity got the best of everyone as they turned to look at the entryway of the dining room once two voices were heard.
...
"Master Jason is here." Alfred announced, as he walked into the dining room, and just like he said Jason was there right behind him. The scarred man had taken a seat across from you, where a plate was already sat waiting for him to fill up, you and Damian had gone back to eating, unbothered by the awkward aura surrounding the other men at the table.
Dick was the first to speak, mumbling a "Hey Jason" served with a half smile, The man across from you just glanced up at him and muttered out a "Dick." in acknowledgement, after that the rest of the men around the table started eating again, continuing their conversations from earlier, leaving you to sit there and silently eat your food.
A foot nudging your leg from under the table got your attention, your head shot up to look at Jason who was staring at you with his eyebrows knit together, his face showed a look that silently asked 'are you okay', offering him back a slight nod you went back to eating.
~☆~
Bruce had cleared his throat therefore making everyone at the table look at him, he set down his utensils and brought his hands together to sit under his chin, before looking at you and Damian.
"I spoke to Talia, and we both think it's best if I enroll the two of you into school." He revealed, as if he was just a normal single father, and he looked at each of your faces to catch your expressions.
"We are far to intelligent for schooling with a buch on simpletons." Damian exclaimed, seemingly annoyed that Bruce would even think about putting him in a room of regular kids.
"I know that Damian, but we just think it will do the both of you good." Bruce sighed trying to get Damian on board with the idea.
"But-" Damian started before you interrupted him, "Mother is not coming back anytime soon, is she?" You questioned, school would only mean that you and Damian would be staying here longer than anticipated.
"No Y/N, she's not" the older man muttered out, and went back to his food as an attempt to end the conversation at that.
(Trust me I know Talia talking to Bruce and being like "yeah put our kids in school whilst I hunt Deathstroke" is a little weird but I have a vision.)
~☆~
After dinner Bruce, Dick, Tim, and Damian had all retreated to the batcave, and Jason had just up and disappeared. Alfred had already came and picked up all of the plates from the table you were still sitting at, your head was hung as you stared at your hands in your lap.
Everyone had willingly left you, they had all got up and left you, that wasn't fair. Why does Damian get all of their attention, why is Damian more liked than you, is it because he has proven himself worthy since he is Robin, is it just because he is more bearable to be around? Talia may have not been the best mother but oh how you wish she was here for you right now, maybe she would understand how you feel, maybe she would spend time with you, even if it was just training. Bruce had been okay at first but as time went on and Damian proved himself worthy Bruce had become distant, spending more time with Damian-
"Hey-."
Your body snapped up and your instincts kicked in as you were pulled out of your thoughts, the hand that was just placed on your shoulder was now behind the back of the body you had bent over the table.
"Jesus, calm down!" The person yelled, as you looked down at the body you identified as Jason, letting go of his hands you backed away from the table, Jason straightened his back as he turned to look at you, slowly he brung both of his hands up to hover around his head in a way to show that he means no harm.
"Calm down will ya." He whispered out, gesturing to your rapid breathing, he slowly brung down one of his hands and reached it out towards you only for you to move away from him yet again.
"I'm fine." You muttered out, looking down at your feet, and trying to steady your breathing. Jason lowered his arms back to his sides and waited for your breathing to regulate before speaking again.
When your breathing finally went back to normal you looked up at Jason who was just staring at you, a smile broke out on his face and you could see that he was trying to hide a laugh. Your eyebrows furrowed as you tried to guess what he wanted to laugh at, the look you gave him only caused his laughter to finally break out. Once Jason's laughter died down he moved towards you and raised an arm to put around your shoulders.
"Come on." Was all he said as he pushed you out of the dining room.
~☆~
Your enture body was stiff as Jason lead you around the Manor, his arm still residing around your shoulders. The two of you walked down the long hallways, no conversation being made, just admiring the art along the walls. There were various paintings hanging, some sporting random people you've never seen, others looked like younger variations of Bruce, Dick, Jason, and Tim. You wondered if Bruce would sit you and Damian down to get yourselves painted, Ra's himself had had a couple commissioned of the two of you, but never hung them.
Jason guided you down another hallway, you could feel the warmth from his skin seeping in through your clothes, his arm was heavy, a resuring weight, a reminder that he was still there right beside you. He brought a feeling that you had never felt, maybe it was the fact that you have never been held except by Damian, who's embrace lacked comfort and love, maybe because he himself never experienced that.
You could smell the cologne that he sprayed before visiting, that traditional man smell was on him but the more you focused you could tell that he smelled like Tobacco, Gunpowder, leather, and something earthy, hints of something sweet hit your nose as you continued to breathe, like he had been in a bakery.
~☆~
Jason and You had come to a halt in front of a pair of doors, doors that you're highly familiar with, doors to the library to be in fact. Jason took his arms off of your shoulders to push open one of the doors open, gesturing for you to go first and himself after. Jason walked past you, seemingly heading for the couches in the middle of the room but he soon passed them too, ending up in front of one of the many bookshelves, the very one he stood in front of when the pair of you read in here the other day. Speaking of the other day Jason was now grasping the same exact book that he had the other day, old, green, and missing its title. Jason scoured through the book, seemingly reminiscing, you watched as Jason straightened his back, closing the book and looking directly infront of himself, before looking back at the book one last time. Jason turned around face you, his legs moving towards you, book still in hand, his eyes kept moving from the book and the floor.
"Here, I noticed what you were reading the other day." He stated holding the book out to you with a smile on his face, trying to hint that you would like this book as well.
"What is it?" You questioned, curious as to what the book in fact was, before taking it in your hands and tracing along the cracked spine. One of Jason's arms went to rub the back of his neck, and his eyebrows knit together as if trying to find the answer to your question.
"To be honest, I don't know, book was here way before me." The man infront of you confessed, Jason let out a chuckle before heading towards the door again, opening it and gesturing for you to step out.
"Where are we going?" You questioned him again, first he led you all the way to the library without telling you where you'd be going, now he's trying to get you to go somewhere else.
"The cave." Was all he muttered.
~☆~
Everyone was already in their suits, crowding around the office chair infront of the computer's, you and Jason stood behind all of the boys with curious looks on your faces.
"What is it this time." Jason asked breaking the silence that hung around the room, Damian turned to look at him, if looks could kill, Jason Todd would be a dead man again.
"Homicide." Bruce answered first, never once taking his eyes off the screen. From the looks of it, he was looking at the filed police report.
"Wow, surprise, it's Gotham." You remarked, Jason turned to look at you with a hidden smile on his face, your own face mirroring his after you made eye contact. Damian turned to look at you, offering the same look he gave to jason seconds before. Dick stood up straight and rested his elbow on your head. Quickly, he looked down at you, then Jason, then back to you.
"Not all of the murders in Gotham stem from Scarecrows gas." Dick informed."The infected committed the crime this time." He finished, Jason moved from beside you, heading for the entry from the batcave and back to the Manor, you pulled Dicks arm off of your head and went to follow Jason back up.
Once back up Jason headed straight towards the front door, and fled down the front steps of the Manor.
"Jason, wait!" You called out to him as he hopped onto a motorcycle.
"What?" He asked, putting on a helmet.
"Where are you going?" You questioned him
"work." Was all he said before revving up his motorcycle and speeding off.
...
You stared down at the book in your hands, tracing the faults on the cover with your fingers, honestly in a family of vigilantes you should've known that he's one too.....
~☆~

DIVORCING
WARNING!
Do not read if you're not 18+ years old.
Sex and strong language
Controlling male protagonist
English is not my first language. I'm so sorry if there are some grammar mistakes.
I finally did it, I filed for divorce. My husband, Bruce Wayne and I have been on different paths for quite a long time.
It wasn't an easy decision since we adopted Dick, Jason, Tim, and Damian. Our sons meant the world to us, or at least to me. He wasn't around the majority of the time, I took care of my sons, and he was nowhere to be found. Always so busy, always so distracted and thinking about something else. We lacked intimacy. When he was around, he was cold and full of rage. No one could talk to Bruce if Bruce himself didn't talk to that person first.
I had enough, I had to step out of our marriage, I wanted to start again, but not with Bruce. It was the right decision, I needed attention, I needed love, not someone who made me doubt myself, someone who was a ghost, someone who didn't care at all about anything. I used to spend a lot of time after our kids, and I stopped taking care of myself. It showed, I always had a tired face, lacked energy, and I was distracted worrying about my husband. I gave too much to someone who didn't deserve even half of it.
My new apartment was in uptown Gotham, and it was spacious with many modern features. I felt alone the majority of the time, but it had to be this way, I needed to be alone for some time.
After I filed for divorce, I didn't expect Bruce's reaction. He called me, it was the first time in moths that we had a good conversation.
"Honey, come back home" He said with a low tone of voice.
I started to cry, I started to tremble reviving my experience in that place I stopped calling home.
"You know what you put me though. You do. You stopped loving me, I was alone taking care of the kids. The only help I had was Alfred. You don't even know that I used to cry myself to sleep because of you. " Tears started to roll down my face. It was painful and atrocious suffering like that for someone with always an excuse.
"The kids miss you, Alfred and the dogs too. I miss you"
Same warm tone, sweet words to lure me back in that snare of marriage.
"Why weren't you there for me? All this time, I suffered. Bruce, I deserve to be happy. "
I couldn't stop my tears, I was crying so desperately.
"You do. With me, the kids and Alfred."
"Not with you. Not anymore."
"Baby. We're not gonna have a divorce, think about Damian. Uh?. How is he gonna take it? Living in two different homes, his parents divorced... We can not make him go through all of this."
Same tone. Same warm voice. All calculated.
"He talks to me about you all the time. And he asks me when you're gonna come back to us. He calls his mommy at night. He looks out for you. He sleeps a lot in our bedroom, and he says it still has your scent. Think about Jason, you're the only woman he ever accepted in his life. He's angry now. He says it's time for us to get back together. Tim, he never comes out of his room, and when he does, it's because he hopes you're back. And how could we forget about Dick. He's devoured with anger towards me. Honey, you do understand that all I do is to protect you and the boys, to make you all be alright when one day I won't be here anymore? One day, I might not be back home. But I want you and the boys to never worry about anything. You're all I have and care about."
Bruce sounded so sincere, and it was the thing that made me melt. The kids. I missed them, I did more than anything.
But he would be back to his old ways, disappearing, not making love to me, not being there for the kids.
"Bruce, I gotta go, now."
"I'm gonna call you tomorrow at the same time." He sounded like he was ending a business meeting, I've heard that cold tone before.
"I don't know. I don't think it's a good idea." I said, looking out of the window, hoping to see him in his costume watching over me. He later confessed to me that he always watched me from the dark.
"I wasn't asking. Sleep tight, beautyful."
"Good night, Bruce."
He called me the following day at the same time.
We talked about the kids. He then planned to move out of the manor to a more tranquil place with the kids. I smiled for the first time in a while. He made me think it was still possible to be together again.
After our call, he wished me good night and promised to call the following day. My lawyer advised me to stop interacting with Bruce, to stop all the calling, and sweet nothings on the phone. All of that needed to stop before going to court.
He called me at the same time, but I never answered following my lawyer's advice. Other two months passed, and nothing had changed. I visited the kids when Bruce wasn't home. He was right they weren't happy about all the divorce thing, especially Damian, who I saw crying for the first time.
A week passed, and after talking to my lawyer, I headed back to my apartment. It was cold and lonely as always.
I had one voice message to listen to. Bruce never sent me one before. He preferred calling me and talking on the phone.
But, he surprised me.
"Honey, we should talk in person. We can find an arrangement, no lawyers, just you and me. Wayne Manor, Saturday, December the 21st, 8 o'clock. Goodnight, sweetheart. Looking forward to our meeting. "
The first thing I did was to call my lawyer and fix an appointment for the following morning so we could discuss the new matter.
"He sounds sincere." My lawyer said after I made him listen to the message Bruce sent me.
"He does. When he wants to." I remarked.
"You should go. If we proceed with this divorce, be ready for the media, your kids under more unwanted attention, and not to talk about the shitstorm. I'll give you the papers with the reasons why you filed for divorce and all the other stuff. "
At 5 o'clock that Saturday, I started to prepare myself, emotionally and physically. Bruce was unpredictable.
I dressed formal, white shirt, long black skirt and high heels. He sent me a driver, his old ways. The driver and I stayed in silence for all the time we took to get to Wayne Manor.
Before knocking at the immense door, I took a deep breath.
The doors opened just in time for me to see Bruce getting down the stairs.
He was so elegant, formal, and handsome he didn't look nothing like the last time we saw each other. He was taking care of himself. He seemed warm and not cold as an ice cube.
He greeted me with a warm hug without saying anything. There was nothing to say.
I was about to get used to that warm ambrace, but he pulled away and guided me to the conference room.
He pulled the seat for me, and he seated next to me at the table top.
"Come closer, honey. I gotta see these papers of yours."
He pulled my chair closer to him to the point where I could feel his warm breath on my cheek.
"You look so beautiful, baby, and you smell so good. You know this is my favourite perfume? So sweet." He smiled.
My heart started to beat faster, and all that praising made my legs crush one against the other unintentionally.
"You always have been the most beautiful woman in the room. The smartest. The funniest. The most breathtaking. " He kept praising me. He smiled mischievously, knowing what those compliments did to me.
Fuck, I wanted more.
It had been such a long time of abstinence that I was starving with kisses and sex.
He didn't touch me, yet, but he knew it was all it needed to break me.
"So pretty. This high bun siuts you perfectly. It lets glow the skin on your neck."
He finally did it. He touched me with his big, warm calloused hand. I bit my lower lip, trying to keep it all together. He massaged one of my shoulders and my neck admiring every expression of mine. I put my hand on his without even knowing, and I started to carress it.
"Bruce, please." I begged him to let go of me. To free me from his control, it was so sweet and painful at the same time. He placed one kiss on my hand and one on my neck. I was about to lose it.
"The papers." I remembered him, trying to free myself from his touch.
He stopped every movement, he composed himself, and asked me to read for him.
I came down from my high and started to read the summary.
"Getting to this point of my relationship with my husband, Bruce Wayne, was never my intention. [...]But it was forced to me since during these last months I have been neglected, starved with affection.[...] This behaviour doesn't apply only on me, but on my kids as well. [...]I can no longer live and be in a relationship that doesn't represent the words love, family, and unity for the previously mentioned reasons[...]"
As I was reading, he kept his eyes on me, and I swear I felt completely naked burning under his sight. He pressed a kiss on my cheek and formed a trail of soft kisses to the corner of my mouth.
He kissed my lips and stopped me before arriving to read to half of the second sheet. I waited for so long. His lips were soft and hungry for mine. We kissed slowly, taking our time, making out like two teenagers in love. He was so gentle embracing me like the most precious of jewels. A moan escaped my mouth, making him kiss me deeply and vulgarly. I loved every second of it. He had never tasted that sweet, so perfect. As we pulled away, he murmured to me:
"You know that we're not getting this divorce, right?" Just to then start kissing me again.
We ended up standing up, kissing and hugging each other like nothing ever changed.
He then proceeded to kiss my neck, devouring it up. His hands trailed down to my ass, caressing it and squeezing it tight in his hands. I moaned, letting myself go to the pleasure.
"Bruce"
"Feels good, doesn't it, baby?" His voice echoed in my head. All I could think about was just him and the pleasure he was intoxicating me with.
"So good." I moaned.
I forgot about everything.
"That lawyer of yours, I don't like him. He looks at you like a beast in heat. "
He went behind my back, putting his clothed erection against my butt, to let me know what I did to him. He was so big, so hard, and so ready for me. I got wetter and hornier just at the thought of it.
He kept licking and biting my neck, letting me get higher and higher.
He unbuttoned my shirt, freeing my breast just to then undo my bra and let it fall to the ground on top of my shirt.
He pinched my nipples while thrusting his erection against my ass.
"You're my wife. My property, all mine. Mine and only mine." He kept going on teasing me, provoking me and making me melt under his touch.
"Yours." I was out of my mind. The power he had on me was getting stronger second by second, minute by minute.
"There is no divorcing. I don't wanna ear none of that. Did I make myself clear, baby?" I melted more.
"Yes. Oh, Bruce."
In one move, he freed me from my skirt, letting it fall down to the ground with the rest of my clothes.
He soon had one hand on my brest and one between my legs caressing my clit, making me feel good.
"This fucking cunt. So fucking wet for me, uh? Gonna make you feel so good, baby, so fucking good" With that promise, my hopes went high as my mind.
"Moan for me like that. Making my dick so fucking hard, uh?"
"I'm gonna fuck you really good. I'm gonna make you cum on this useless papers. So fucking mine." He continued teasing me.
He put one finger in me, and it was enough to make me moan louder and cum. I had no chance of winning against him.
He then made me sit on the big mahogany table. He spread my legs, exposing my wet, pulsing cunt. He took a good look at it, then at me. He buried his face between my legs, kissing, licking, and eating me out. I was lost in pleasure. Meanwhile, he unbuttoned his shirt, revealing his toned body.
He was like a god.
He started to play and enjoy himself by butting two fingers in me and licking my clit like a starved man.
"So good. Oh my god, just like that." I moaned, enjoying myself.
He moved his free hand to my breast, caressing one at the time, to later intertwine his hand with mine.
"My baby. Looking so good like this, legs wide open on my expensive table. Uh?" I came with those words, and as he predicted, I soaked all the papers.
I tried to catch my breath, but he didn't give me time. His mouth was already on mine.
We kissed again and again.
"I'm so in love with you." He said lowly on my ear.
I smiled. It all seemed like a dream, a happy one. A utopia.
"I mean it." He said, looking at me in the eyes.
It was true. All of it. Bruce never lied.
"Now I know." I said before kissing him.
"Now let's get to the real deal. I still haven't cum. And I know a good place where I can stick it in"
"I don't know where." I said provoking him while leaning back on the table. My back met the cold surface.
I lifted my legs to Bruce's torso.
He removed my heels, kissing my feet.
He was so dirty and perverted. And I loved it.
He was looking at me straight in the eyes. Those blue obs darkened as he submissed me even more.
"You taste so fucking sweet." He said, liking the base of one of my feet.
I got wetter, hornier, and hungrier for more. I needed more.
He slowly put his zip down, freeing his cock with his pants still on and buckled.
He pulled me closer to the edge of the table by my tights. Not long after, he was inside of me, slowly exploring me like it was the first time. I was so full of his flesh. It was so big and hard that I could feel every vein on his surface. He then opened my legs, getting closer to me, just to whisper to me the dirtiest words. I had goosebumps all over my body.
"Bruce, fuck me harder."
He did as I commanded without further discussion, he thruster deeper in me, touching all my weakest spots. He made me cum uncontrollably, fucking me to the gates of heaven.
"Like this? Uh?"
"Just like that." I moaned, hugging him harder.
"This cunt is so fucking good. So fucking tight. Gonna make me cum, baby."
He moaned against my skin.
"Fuuuck. Oh my love!" I was out of my mind, I had pleasure all in my veins, I couldn't control anymore what came out of my mouth.
"Yeah. Feels good uh?" He kissed me not waiting for an answer.
He went faster, harder on me, I couldn't get enough, I was on cloud nine. Bruce hugged me like our lives depended on that. I came on and on, and my body was exhausted. Bruce kept going on fucking me senseless, moaning, letting himself go. His body was warm against my skin, his touch so sweet .
"I love you, my beautiful wife. I love you so much." He looked at me straight to my face and smiled, finally a warm smile and not a calculated one.
"Y-you say that now that you're fucking m-me." I spit venom.
His movements started to get harder and more precise, trying to find my weakest spot.
"I. LOVE. YOU." He repeated harshly.
"Then fuck me like you mean it."
He smirked just to then increase his pace.
One hour later, we finally came to a stop. He rested his head between my brest. I had no energy, I was really exhausted so I closed my eyes and when I reopened them, it was already the next day.
Sun rays hit my face, I didn't want to wake up. The bad was so warm and soft. It wasn't the bed I got used to in my cold apartment. It was Wayne Manor's.
I lifted my hand trying to find Bruce, hoping that all the things we said the previous night would have become true, and finally, we could all get back to be a big family.
He wasn't there. My heart sinked. I pulled myself up, and I was completely naked. I headed to Bruce's walk-in closet, hoping to find something that could suit me, just to then leave. I found all my clothes in there, including the ones I wore the night before.
I dressed up, opting for a cream coloured sweatshirt, tight blue jeans, and a pair of white trainers.
I collected my phone and my bag and headed downstairs.
"Where are you going?" His voice echoed in my head, and his firm tone stopped my movements.
I turned around, and he looked like he had just come out of the shower. He wore a towel, and little water drops were running from his head down to his weist. With his hands, he held a plate with breakfast on it and a fresh red rose.
He placed the plate on a dresser, and he moved slowly closer to me.
"Alfred is not here, I had to arrange something myself. I know you like strawberries."
He caressed one of my cheeks, kissed my forehead, and hugged me. I hugged him back with my heart pounding in my chest.
"You just had to stay in bed and wait for me a little longer. I wanted to surprise you with a delicious meal and good morning sex."
I smiled and hugged him tighter, finally understanding his intentions.
"You smell so good." I said, sniffing his chest.
"We can shower together after breakfast and good sex." We kissed and ended up in bed again, skipping breakfast and going straight to devouring each other.
We had breakfast after two rounds, and then we showered.
"I love you. I love you. I love you." He said, caressing my hair while hot water was running down on our bodies.
"I love you. I love you. I love you." I responded, smiling. He smiled back at me, and we kissed again.
That day we went to the beach, it was warm despite being winter. He looked so handsome, happy, and relaxed. It was at that moment that I finally saw the man I fell in love with. He looked young, well-kept, and glorious under the sunlight.
"What, honey?" He asked me.
"You're so handsome." I said, looking away since I was getting shy.
"Come here. Let me kiss you one more time. "
"You gotta catch me first." I smiled, seeing the confused face he made.
I ran, and he chased after me. My intention was never to get too far away from him, I couldn't anyway even in my dreams. He eventually caught me and threw me over his shoulder. He spanked one of my butt cheeks, making me laugh.
Not too long after, he put me down and caught my cheeks between the palms of his hands. We kissed once more.
There were sparks materialising around us. It was all so perfect.
To be continued...
Hope you liked it

Wally West dating batsis - headcanon
A/n: So I had this sitting in my drafts since 2020, thought maybe it was time to post it. Does people even write headcanons like this anymore?
You are younger than Dick and a few months older than Jason;
You were the second adopted child of Bruce Wayne;
He trained you to be the first Batgirl - before Barbara;
You and Wally met when Dick asked for your help with a mission with the Young Justice team, you were more than happy to do so;
Your older brother needed your help, that was great;
The moment Wally's eyes landed on you he was by your side, introducing himself;
"Hello gorgeous, welcome. I'm Wally." "Hi, I'm y/n." "Pretty name for a pretty face."
He kept flirting with you until Robin walked up to the two of you;
"Y/n, you're here." he said happily
Wally looked between the two of you before opening his mouth to say to Dick he had a really hot friend;
Dick frowned at his best friend "This is my younger sister, West."
Wally had never been more horrified in his whole life, he was flirting with Dick's sister;
The shock only lasted a few days, he was back to flirting with you;
Every time he saw you he had a new pick up line ready;
You thought it was cute, but didn't think much of it;
Your brother didn't like it one bit, and you thought Wally was only doing this to get on your brothers nerves;
As the years went by and your father adopted Jason, Tim and Damian showed up, you and Wally kept up the same antics;
None of your brothers liked it one bit;
It appears that all of them saw Wally's true intensions except for you;
You had a few boyfriends over the years, some heartbreaks, and Wally would always find a way to cheer you up with his pick up lines and just his charm way of being;
He supported you when Jason died, offering you to stay at his place just to get away from the manor;
He was always there when you needed him, and that eventually lead to you realizing you were in love with your brother's best friend;
As you grew up you grew out of your role as Batgirl and decided you want to pursue other things in your life, such as going to college, getting a job and actually being normal;
You work at Wayne Enterprises with Tim, and since you gave up on being a vigilant, you became the face of the company, always attending to parties, galas and important events that your father and brother wouldn't be able to due to Batman and Red Robin;
You had a gala to attend and your boyfriend was being a jerk to you which led to a breakup;
You were a mess, crying all over the manor because you never show up to a place like a gala without a date, and not only were you without a date but you had just broken up with your boyfriend;
Your brothers were worried about you, Tim even offered to skip patrol and go to the gala with you, but you just kept blabbing nonsense;
Wally had stopped by the manor to talk to Dick about something and of course he couldn't miss the opportunity to talk to you;
Upon seeing the mess you currently was, he managed to calm you down and offered himself to be your date for the night;
If you didn't love him before, now you certainly did;
So you two went to the gala together, your brothers were suspicious because they didn't like the fact the Wally was always flirting with you, but Tim and Alfred talked some sense into them;
When you arrived home, very late at night, all your brothers and Bruce were awake waiting for you;
"Is this a right time to arrive home?" Damian questioned, crossing his arms over his chest "Not even texting to let us know you were alright." Jason shook his head;
It should've been an intimidating sight, watching all of them batglare at you, clearly unpleased with you, but all you could do was giggle at them;
"I am older than most of you, I was with a superhero, and I am fine";
You turned to leave to your room, still smiling and thinking about your night;
They didn't try to stop you to keep saying you had been reckless or anything, you looked so happy, you never arrived this happy from an event before, and considering how sad you were earlier;
Wally had been the perfect gentleman the whole night, making sure you were fine and enjoining yourself;
That man is perfect;
After the night of the gala whenever Wally saw you and flirted with you, you would always blush - something that never happened before - and would occasionally flirt back, until he got the hint and finally asked you out on a date;
You two went on a few more dates before finally started dating;
Dick couldn't even be too mad because he saw this coming for years;
He had mixed feelings, on one hand Wally is his best friend and he knows him a lot and knows he won't hurt you, on the other hand you are his little sister and he is a bit taken aback by the fact that you're dating his best friend and if things go wrong it will be very awkward, but hey, if it goes right Wally will be part of the family!
Jason, who lost a few good years of your friendship/sexual tension, was pissed;
Tim was happy to see you so happy, it was about time you two got together, although he was supportive, he did give Wally a warning before any of his other brothers could "I know all of your secrets, hurt her and I will end your life";
Damian was lived with anger, he did try to fight Wally with his katana, but the redhead just pulled it out of his grasp effortlessly, infuriating the little boy even further;
Bruce had to keep his tough guy appearance, but he was glad you were finally dating someone good, he trusted Wally and he knew the boy wouldn't hurt you;
Alfred was glad the torture of you two flirting without end was finally over, and also happy to see you happy;
You two did all sorts of things together, you started spending less time at the manor and more time at your apartment so Wally could hang out there without your family interrupting you two;
Soon enough you were basically living together;
He was literally the man of your dreams, you couldn't picture someone more perfect to have as your boyfriend.

Demon Spawns
Damian Wayne x Powered!Fem!Reader
When your’s and Damians future kids come to the present
A/N: Inspired by @cipheress-to-k-pop version of this. Please give me some feedback, it’s always appreciated :3
Word Count: 2500+
Warnings: mentions of a miscarriage, was lightly proofread and revised
Future
-Honestly, it’s not Mar’i’s fault
-You needed someone to watch the twins as you and damian had to go away on a business trip for a few dayside hours hours and I
-Mar’i eagerly accepted
-Yes, she knew she wasn’t supposed to bring the twins to the cave but she didn’t think this would happen
-The worst she expected was that they broke on of Tim’s gadgets
-She didn’t expect them to accidentally send themselves to the future
-You were going to kill her
-Mar’i did the only thing she could think of at the moment, call her best friend, White Rabbit, aka Lian Harper, to help her get them back
Present
- You and Damian had been dating for a year already
-You really loved him
-After 3 years of knowing him and 2 months of dating, it was only a matter of time until you both found out about each other
-Damian being Robin didn’t entirely surprise you, it just made a lot of sense
-The constant disappearing, the odd phone calls, the weird excuses
-At least he wasn’t cheating (Damian would NEVER cheat)
-Growing up adopted you never knew your birth parents, just that they had to have been metas because you have powers
-You had powers like Kori and more, you even kind of looked like her
-People joked that you could have been her daughter before she came to Earth
-Those jokes make her uncomfortable
-You thought everything about her was interesting: she’s heir to the thrown on Tamaran, her sister sold her, she’s been married 4 other times, and even the fact that she 9 stomachs
-Today was a normal day at the Manor
-Everyone was just chilling in the BatCave
-Bruce and Tim were working on a case on the BatComputer
-To you, everything in the BatCave started with a ‘Bat’
-BatKeys
-BatSeat
-Your secret name for Alfred was Batler (Bat + Butler )
-Dick and Kori we flirting talking by the weapons
-And you were watching Damian train with Jason
-Watching Damian train was one of your favorite pastimes whenever you were in the cave
-Suddenly a bright light purple light flashed in the middle of the cave, right between Damian and Jason as they were jumping to attack each other,
-The light startled them, causing then the jump back
-All the heroes prepared themselves in a fighting stance
-Next thing everyone knew, two small babies, a girl and boy, were in the middle of the cave
-They looked like they could be twins, but you couldn’t say for certain from where you were standing
- Everyone was surprised, two random babies just appeared out of nowhere
-“Aye, Big Bat. Bet you don’t have a protocol for this, do ya?” Jason says trying to break the silence
-The two babies looked around confused
-They couldn’t be older than a 9 months
-Last they checked they were with Mar’i in the BatCave, now they were in the BatCave with strangers they didn’t recognize
-BOOM, waterworks
-“I’ll go and get Alfred” Tim said dashing up the stairs
-Everyone knew he was probably the least qualified to deal with children, mainly because he’s always sleep deprived
-Naturally the two most recent parents went and scooped one up
-“How did they get here?” Dick asked rocking the girl in his arms
-They both calmed down a bit looking at the person holding them and back at each other and back at the adult
-They stopped crying, but were still fussing
-“While they’re like this let’s get saliva for a DNA test to find out who their parents are”
-Bruce took two swabs and collected saliva from each of the babies
-After, Dick and Kori passed the babies around to see if anyone could calm them down
-It wasn’t until Bruce handed you the little boy that he stopped crying, cooing in your arms and little hands reaching for your face
-Jason stopped, looked at Damian, and questioned if it would be the best idea to hand a baby to him
-“Is handing Damian a crying baby the best idea?”
-“Probably not, but it’s the only idea we have” Dick responded
-Handing the baby girl to Damian, she looked at him and stopped fussing, smiling at the face in front of her
-“Never thought I’d see the day” Jason chuckled
-“What do you think their names are?” Kori asked gaining everyone’s attention
-“How about we get in a circle, go in a circle calling out random names and see who they go to” you spoke
-Everyone nodded and hummed in agreement
-You and Damian placed the babies on the floor jointing everyone else in the circle
-Before you could call the first name, a voice interrupted you
-“After this game, I believe you will be needed these”
-The voice belonging to none other than Alfred said
-Tim decided to join the circle at that point
-“Thank you” you called out
-Alfred gave you a small smile and nod before heading up the stairs
-You all started with your little game ‘Name the Babe’
-“Makayla”
-“Isaiah”
-“Nick”
-“Elizabeth”
-After 5 minutes of calling names and receiving no reaction from the babies, a ding
-It was from the BatComputer, signaling the results from the DNA test
-Dick and Kori
-Bruce opened the test and everyone had a face mixed with shock and confusion
-Under ‘FATHER’ was a picture of Damian
-”The Demon spawn had a spawn.”
-Under ‘MOTHER’ was a question mark and underneath it was ‘match not found’
-You turned to Damian with a look a shock, confusion, and… betrayal and one that said ‘please don’t tell me you cheated on me’
-Damian took a step towards you, and you took a step back
-You rushed up the stairs heading into the manor
-Damian rushed after you
-“This makes no sense. Damian has only ever been with anyone other than YN and Raven”
-“And he’s not the type for random hookups”
-Bruce checked the database and noticed he didn’t have yours or Ravens DNA in the system
-“Kori contact Raven and have her come to the BatCave”
-“Bart!” Tim shouted
-“What? Haven’t you been paying attention, Damian is the father not Bart” Jason retorted
-“I know that! But Bart’s from the future. Who says the babies can’t be too?”
-Back in the manor, Damian was looking all over for you
-Your car was still parked in front, so you were somewhere in the manor
-Fifteen minutes later Damian found you on his bed, facing the window, looking at the garden
-You’ve always loved how Damian’s room faced the garden
-He slowly walks towards you until he’s also on the bed
-“Beloved-”
-“I was pregnant”
-“What? When?”
-“Four months ago. I lost the baby early on, I didn’t even know until I went to the ER. I thought it was food poisoning from that Thai place I went to with Steph and Cass, but they told me I had a miscarriage. I was 3 weeks”
-“Why didn’t you tell me?”
-“I didn’t know how and I was somewhat relieved. I always told myself I’d wait until I was married to have kids. Also we can’t raise a kid now Dami. We’re only 21 and you work in a dangerous field.”
-You put your foreheads together, caressing his cheek with your hand
-Damian just wrapped his arms around you, pulling you down, forcing you to lay with him and you accepted his embrace
-“Todd messaged me”
-“What did he say”
-“Tim come to the conclusion that the babies most likely came from the future and father doesn’t have yours or Raven’s DNA is the system, Raven is on her way so they can run the test again”
-“And if they’re not mine”
-“Let’s not worry about that right now”
-After an hour of silence and Damian just holding you, you both make your way back to the BatCave hand in hand
-Raven, and even some League members, are now there too
-“Can I see the little ones” Diana asked with a smile on her face
-She has always had a soft spot for children
-“Careful. She just ate” Kori informed her, handing Baby Girl over
-While you and Damian were gone, Tim made the executive decision to call them Baby Girl and Baby Boy until the mother was determined
-“Awww, so precious”
-The Themyscrian rocking the small baby in her arms
-Baby Girl soon became fussy, most likely from Diana’s cuffs
-Diana handed the baby off to Raven
-It made sense
-We were here to see if you or Raven would be their mother (yk that motherly connection)
-Once Baby Girl was in Ravens arms she quickly calmed down, almost as quickly as she did with Damian
-You didn’t show it, but you felt a pang in your heart
-Damian just squeezed your hand lightly but you couldn’t take your eyes off Raven and Baby Girl
-Bruce spoke up, breaking you out of your trance
-“I need both of you to get a good saliva swab”
-You and Raven both did as told
-“Here. My arms are getting numb” Dick says handing Baby Boy to you
-You smile at the tiny human in your arms
-After 10 of waiting, a BatComputer dinged
-Bruce went to open the results
-Damian standing right behind him, and you and Raven on each side of him
-On the screen where a picture of the babies
-When did they take that picture?
-The babies were at the bottom middle and above them was the same picture of Damian as earlier and under ‘MOTHER’ was a picture of…
-You
-WAIT! How did they get that picture?
-You were too happy to question that
-“Happy to say that Baby Girl and Baby Boy are Y/N’s and Damian’s ”
-“Thank Azarath”
-You laughed at Raven, she pulls you into a hug
-“These babies are so adorable but I don’t think I’m cut out to be a mother. I’ll gladly babysit though”
-“Wait. You guys have been calling them Baby Girl and Baby Boy?”
-No one other than Wally West would ask that question
-“Come one. You can think of something better to call them”
-Before you could say something, Damian stepped in
-“Actually we already know their names”
-You smiled
-You handed Baby Boy to Damian
-“This is Soren Jackson Wayne”
-“Jackson after Drake”
-You walked over to Raven, who was holding a sleeping Baby Girl, and picked her up
-“And my gorgeous daughter. You are Jaylena Mariah Wayne. Jaylena inspired after Jason but means blue crested bird aka Nightwing. For that time you both saved me”
-You and Damian make eye contact not breaking it even when the others spoke
-Dick and Jason both smiled
-Jason punched Roy’s side
-”See that. Demon spawn named his spawn after me”
-“Don’t worry father we plan on naming the next ones after your mother and father”
-You looked away quickly,
-Bruce had a shocked look on his face
-“There’s going to be more?!”
-Jason could already see it: A demon army
-Suddenly another bright light flashed in the middle of the BatCave
-Everyone but you and Damian had a fight stance ready
-Bruce and Dick stood in front of you and Damian
-Two people now stood in the middle of the BatCave, they looked like vigilantes
-One was dressed in all white, with a matching white masked with bunny ears falling along her wavy ginger hair
-The other, well anyone could tell who she was
-Mar’i Grayson
-“Hi mom. Hi daddy”
-The girl in all white removed her mask as she walked towards Roy giving him a big hug
-“Hi dad”
-It was obvious to say that Dick, Kori, and Roy were baffled
-It wasn’t even a few hours ago they saw their daughters in the care of Barry and Iris, playing along with the other superhero kids
-Now they were teenagers, vigilantes at that too
-Mar’I was walking towards you with a pleading look
-“Sis”
-Sis?
-Mar’I never called you sis
-She always called you this funny tamaranean name she heard from Kori, it’s supposed to be a pretty flower but dangerous or something
-“I am so so so so so sorryyyyy. I know you told me not to bring them to the BatCave by myself but it was only for a minute to get something. I didn’t think they would get sent to the past. I put Sor and Lena down for a second then boom they’re gone. Please don’t kill me”
-She turns to Kori and Dick
-“Please don’t ground me”
-You step towards her
-“I can tell you didn’t want this to happen and I know my future self will probably get on you for this. So just please, please get my babies home safely”
-Mar’i nodded eagerly as you handed her Jaylena
-“I promise. I really don't want to be on the LoA’s bad side” she chuckles
-Damian looked slightly confused at the remark
-He gave Soren to Lian, staring her down with a look that says ‘drop or hurt my son, I’ll hurt you’
-“Daaaaddd”
-“Stop scaring my daughter Damian”
-“Tt”
-“Anyways… Congrats on your…nevermind” Mar’i stops when she noticed your promise ring that Damian gave you
-Soren looks at Mar’i, reaching for her but found it no use when Lian wouldn’t let him
-He looked upset
-As he started fussing a blue power orb slowly started to form about a foot above him
-Thinking of only your kids safety, you quickly absorbed the energy
-“Our kids have powers?” Damian asked in shock
-Naturally you were in shock too
-You barely knew the full extent of your powers compared to other metas your age, and now at least one of your kids will have them too
-“At the moment only Soren does. He uhm… does that sometimes. So far it only happens when he’s mad or extremely fussy.”
-Lian’s watch starts beeping
-Before she can even open her mouth Mar’i talks
-“We really have to go now”
-Damian walks up next to you, placing a hand on your waist
-“Bye Uncle D. Bye bye sis”
-Again with the sis?
-You and Damian give a small wave goodbye
-Just like that, with a flash, they’re gone
-Everyone goes their respective ways
-Tears start to well in your eyes when it’s just you and Damian in the BatCave
-“Let’s go to bed, Beloved. It’s been a long day”
-You follow him to his room and you both go to sleep
-That night you dream about your future with Damian, Jaylena, and Soren
Back to the Future(hehehe see what i did there)
-“Great! They’re still sleeping. We can get them to bed before Y/N and Damian get home”
-Mar’i was ready for this day to be over
-She knew she would get hell from you and Damian for what happened
-“Oh. We’re home. What happened?”
-Hearing your voice, Lian took that as her que to hand Soren over to Damian and hop out
-Mar’i turns around to see you and Damian dropped head to toe in LoA attire
-“Uncle D. Sis. Back already?”
-Damian walks over to Mar’i also taking Jaylena in his arms
-He walks over to you, with both twins in his arms, placing a kiss on your temple
-“I’ll put them to bed while you deal with Mar’i”
-With that Damián walks up the stairs into the manor
-“Before you blow a fuse, I know I shouldn’t have brought the twins to the Cave but I had no choice. I couldn’t leave them upstairs by themselves. As soon as they flashed to the past I immediately got help to go get them. And I almost ruined your proposal surprise but i didn’t so that’s something. I promise this will never ever EVER happen again”
-“Go home”
-“What?”
-“Go home. It’s late and we’re all tired. We’ll talk tomorrow”
-“Oh ok”
-You retire to yours and Damian’s shared bedroom as Mar’i leaves
-“What did you tell her”
-“To go home and we’ll talk tomorrow. You know she almost ruined your proposal”
-“Not surprised”
-You slip into bed, cuddling up next to Damian, head on his shoulder and his arm wrapped around your waist
-You bring your left hand up admiring your engagement and wedding rings
-“It was a great proposal”
-“Damn right it was”
-You chuckled
-You look up at a sleeping Damian, admiring the man he grew to be
-Physically he’s always been attractive, but he grew mentally and emotionally
-He wasn’t the same boy who entered the manor when he was 10, emotionally and mentally detached from everyone, doors and windows shut to everyone, stubborn as a mule
- Actually, Damian will always be stubborn
- You both grew to care deeply for each other
… after writing for about 15-20 minutes I decided I wanted to make a part 2 but of the proposal…😚
I kinda want to make another version, the kid is like a teen. Should I???
Should I write why Mar’i called the reader ‘sis’?? Wouldnt y’all like to know? Do you have any ideas?

Beyond the Farthest Reaches
Hell or High Water - Percy Jackson/DC crossover
“Power Up Unlocked!”
Opportunities always arrive at the most inconvenient time. Annoying, isn’t it?
Set shortly before “Eternity will bring You near”
Note: I figured you all needed something lighthearted, so here’s Nico
************************************
“Woah.” Percy’s head snapped to the voice behind him, eyes wide and panicked. It wasn’t that he didn’t know who they were, no, but it was that that voice shouldn’t be heard here.
“Nico?” He looked the batcomputer and nearly sprinted to the son of Hades trying to face him away from the cave. “What are you doing here? How did you find here?!”
“Where is here? This place is so cool!” Nico slipped out of his grasp, stumbled at little because he had just shadowed traveled, before running amok in the cave. It made Percy’s heart squeeze watching him gasp in awe and question everything, bringing back the memories of a younger version of him. He wondered if Nico would have stayed that awe-struck and wide-eyed had Bianca survived?
He might’ve become a little bitter towards the hunters, his sister especially, but Percy knows he would’ve followed him like a puppy ever since. He most likely would have wanted to go with Percy at the end of the summers, follow him all the way to Gotham. And knowing Bruce, he would’ve taken Nico in, since he can’t help himself when it comes to an orphan in need. He would be confused and concerned why he doesn’t legally exist, but Bruce has recourses to change that.
“Nico! Get down from the dinosaur!” Percy climbed up to the trophy area, hands on his hips like an angered parent. A part of him wondered if this was how Bruce sounded when he first brought Dick into the cave. Did they have the dinosaur at that time? Because it was here when Jason and Percy got here, so maybe it was brought in while Dick was still Robin.
Carefully, Nico slid down the spine of the statue, eyes still taking everything in. But Percy was quick to grab his attention, “Why are you here?”
“Huh? Oh, right,” Nico snapped back into the broody, more serious persona he adopted this past year. “I know how you can go against Kronos without dying.”
“What? How?” Percy said. “No, no, y’know what. We’re takin’ this conversation upstairs.”
“Upstairs? There’s an upstairs?” Nico followed him out the cave, and once again, just like last year, his mouth never stopped asking questions. Thought this time, it was aimed more towards Percy himself and not at the demigod world in general. “Where are we, Percy? Who exactly are you? You’ve told the whole camp that you live in New York with your mom, that you didn’t have anyone else, that—”
“Ah, Master Percy.” He felt Nico bump into his back at the sudden stop. “I wasn’t aware you were having a guest over. This late at night as well.”
“Sorry, Alfred,” he said. “It was a…surprise visit.” Nico’s cheeks dusted with pink at the call out and under Percy’s stare.
“I see.” Percy couldn’t stay mad at Nico, and he was entitled to the questions he has about him. Afterall, he has been lying to nearly the whole camp, except for Annabeth, for years. And Annabeth didn’t even know about the other side to his life. “Well, I shall prepare some tea while the two of you converse. The sitting room is free, and I expect you be sharing whatever information the young lad has with Master Bruce.”
“Yes, I will,” Percy said. “And thank you.”
They stood in the hall for a few seconds longer, watching Alfred disappear down the stairs. Nico tuned to him, “Who was that?”
“My butler.”
“You have a butler?!”
************************
11-year old Nico, though emo and edgy, would still absolutely love the batcave

Debut of Gotham's Ghostly Knight
Chapter 2: Explanation... And migraines
Roughly 4 hours later Danny meandered down from the loft of the Belfry feeling a bit more like himself then he had 3 days prior. For a moment he simply watched as Gotham's Knights filtered about, one was looking over a tablet listening to music and pacing, another was in the kitchenette cooking something, the third had a nilla folder open reading the contexts, the fourth was at the large computer set up looking over the information from his parents computers and... The last recording of the cameras in the lab. Danny couldn't look away as he saw his parents being detained By GIW agents, said Agents began fucking around with everything in the lab as his parents screamed at them to stop and not even a minute later there was a flash of green light and then the camera went dark. The feeling of Electricity racing up his right arm, wrapping around his shoulders, and pricing his right eye caused Danny to gasp in agony and fall to his knees as spasms wracked his body.
"Shit! Kid?! Hey are you alright?" Nightwing asked getting to where Danny was kneeling.
" why didn't they fight back?" Danny asked as he began to cry, Nightwing knelt at his side.
"I don't know buddy." Nightwing said as the other came up to them. Nightwing helped Danny to stand back up, and guided him to the table in the Kitchenette. Once Danny was seated he was handed a cup of tea.
"I'm okay... I think. I didn't know what had happened before a few away, I had only seen the explosion and knew that my folks were dead. They had always said that should the portal explode it would take out at least three city blocks and anyone else in the radiuses." Danny explained while the group listened. As the talk continued the group asked questions here and there and Danny did his best to explain what had been happening in Amity park for the last 3 years, he clarified what he could about Ectoplasm and what his folks had used it for. And then the explanation about what he was and how he came to be. Time was getting angry as the explanation continued 'how did we miss a whole fucking town disappearing?! How?!' Jason was not liking the implications of what Ectoplasm was and its disturbing likeness to Lazarus waters but it did at least fill in the holes that were left behind after the bullshit with the Shadows and the Court. Barbara wanted to hit something if not someone more then once as with everything the kid was explaining just kept getting worse. Dick was very close to just adopting this young hero and no one was going to stop him. Once Danny was done explaining everything he began to cry in earnest as this was the first time he had just laid everything out and now it felt like he was free from the burden of the weight of the last 3 years. Dick gathered Danny into his arms and simply held him as he cried an understanding that the others shared as even they have had more than one break down hell Bruce had held them in and out of the Cowl as they bawled because everything just became too much to handle, and now here was another young hero that was doing all this shit on his own with only a handful of friends and some frenemies from his own rouge's gallery. While Dick comforted Danny, Jason went and made up some comfort foods, Tim went looking for some soft music for Danny to listen to and Barbara went hunting down one of the many blankets that floated around the Belfry. This is the screen that Alfred walked into and to be honest it brought a very small smile to his face as he placed down a file in front of Duc he meandered over to help Jason with the food. 'it looks like another young man will be joining the family.' Alfred thought glancing back at Dic and Danny whine Barbara wrapped a blanket around the boys too thin shoulders.
~and that's chapter 2 y'all this one did not want to be written but I got it done~

The Jason Todd Anomaly
Chapter 12: Worth It
Pairing: Jason Todd x female!Reader
Warnings: none, this is fluffy shit
Summary: Jason takes Y/N home
All Other Chapters
"You will need to take these pain pills every 8 hours for 2 days, then you should be down to one a day for 3 days," Alfred finished explaining as he handed a medication bottle to both Jason and Y/N. They both nodded, Y/N shoving the pills in the pocket of the sweatpants Jason had lent her. He was desperately trying to stop looking at her wearing his clothes. He never really thought about it being hot seeing a person you were attracted to in your clothes but now he got it. Alfred was staring at him and he wasn't sure why.
"What was that?" he asked, catching Tim laughing from his spot at the gun wall nearby. Alfred shook his head.
"Master Jason I was asking if you would be accompanying Miss Y/N home," he said. Jason nodded quickly. He had to stop acting like a teenager, it was getting ridiculous. "Thank you, I need to go to the GCPD and speak to Gordon about this fundraiser, see if I can find out any useful information for you all."
"Thank you Alfred, you are truly wonderful," Y/N said. The old man turned a little red at the compliment and nodded, bidding goodbye to them.
"I'll take you home on my non-vigilante bike," Jason said as they followed Alfred down the elevator. "And are you sure you don't want us to find a dress for you? I know right now its not exactly easy to find anything for a rich people party." She shrugged it off.
"No, I have something from my cousin's wedding from last year, before all this, should work for the party," she replied. "Her colors were black and white though so its not an exact match to you."
"I don't like that they matched us," Jason said. She looked at him surprised. "Not because I don't like being matched with you, but they've made you as big a target at me. I don't want you intentionally in harms way, I should have somehow stopped you from doing all this months ago when we first met."
"Jason Todd don't be an asshole," she said, smacking his chest gently. "One, you couldn't have stopped me if you tried, and two, if you had stopped me then I wouldn't be here with you right now about to take you home with me." He cocked an eyebrow. "You should have packed a bag, you're not coming back here tonight if I have any say in it." He smirked as the elevator doors opened to a small garage with several bikes in it. He went to a cabinet in the room and opened the door, pulling out a duffel bag.
"I am always prepared," he said, slinging it over his shoulder. He approached a bike and handed her a helmet. She took it and put it on. As he put his on he thought about getting her a proper helmet for being Anomaly, he would make sure to put something to identify her as his ally, as his in general. He climbed on the bike and she climbed on behind him. He glanced back at her. "Ready?" She nodded and he opened the garage, pulling out and heading out of the underground area to the street. He felt her tighter her grip around his waist and he sped up just a little bit to make her grip him tighter. It took no time at all to get to her place and he parked the bike in the alley, making sure to set the alarms on it. She led him upstairs to her apartment, letting him in first.
"Welcome to my home, its small and shitty, but cheap," she said, locking her door and setting the keys on the kitchen counter. She leaned on her counter and watched him. He set the bag down near the door and looked around.
"Reminds me of my place before Bruce adopted me," he said. "Except nicer kept, and no addicts unconscious in the bed." He turned to face her and she bit her lip.
"That sounds terrible, but I don't know if you were lucky to get adopted by Wayne or not. I mean, that's a terrible upbringing, but was being raised a child soldier any better?" she said, not really asking, just wondering out loud. Jason shrugged. Not like it mattered now, he was what he was. "I am glad I got to meet you out of it, that's nice."
"Ok we have to hash this out, are we together or what is going on here?" he asked, motioning between them. Y/N smiled and laughed.
"Jason Todd, will you be my boyfriend?" she asked, smiling a big cheesy smile. He rolled his eyes but felt the smile pulling at his face. He ignored the pain in the movement, pulling her to him gently by her waist, leaning in and kissing her lips. He held her against him, trying to be as gentle as he could. He felt her hands gripping his shirt as she kissed him back.
Y/N hadn't really thought ahead about inviting Jason to stay over. The very thought of him being in her bed inspired thoughts of hot passion, but even this gentle, yet amazing, kiss was causing her rib cage to be on fire. She wasn't going to stop kissing him, it felt too wonderful, but she was feeling the pain more and more as it kept going. Finally she had to break away and she knew by the look on his face that he was feeling the pain too.
"Worth it," he wheezed out, she nodded her agreement.
"I did not think through you staying over," she said, leaning back on the counter again, turning her head to look at him. He looked at her. "I still want you to stay, but if you were hoping to get naked I don't recommend."
"As much as I would love to see you naked I think we would both collapse before anything good happened," he said. She nodded. "How about we just talk about the plan for this party?"
"Sure, let me order some pizza though, I have no food here and these pills require food." Jason moved to sit at one of the dining chairs as she ordered from her phone. She sat down to join him and he noticed a picture frame on a cabinet nearby. A smiling little family, mother, and 2 girls.
"You were a cute kid," he said, motioning to the picture. She looked over and smiled sadly. "Where are they now?"
"My mom is dead, she was one of those lost when Riddler flooded the city and broke everything," she said. "My sister is in Metropolis, enjoying the sun and being able to leave the city when she wants." He nodded. "She hates what I do here, I told her a little about it, mostly that I had been training to try and help you, then I told her about you in general. She likes you, Red Hood though, would throw her for a loop if she knew you were the same person."
"I'm sorry about your mom, and about making your sister worry about you. Didn't realize I was so desirable you wanted to be my sidekick," he said, smirking at her. She glared at him.
"Don't make me laugh, sidekick? I will kick you off my fucking balcony you talk that shit again," she said, kicking at his chair leg. She laughed he winced at the sudden movement. There was an alert on her phone and she got up, getting the pizza from the front door. She tossed the box on the table and opened it. "How do you feel about plates?"
"Not really necessary when the food is already on a big plate," he said, grabbing a slice. She got them each a water and took her pain pill before grabbing a slice herself.
"So the party, we clearly are being led into a trap, but I don't think we have the option of not going," Y/N said. Jason nodded. "I'm bringing my suit, I can show my face and maybe sneak away. I know the Gotham City Hotel pretty well since I was in charge of figuring out how to move people, even before Penguin was arrested they had me working on it, there is a staff bathroom in the basement that you can only get to if you have a key fob. I assume we can get our hands on one, get our stuff there early and then make an appearance before getting ready. They have to have a reason for going to the Hotel, some kind of mass gathering to recruit? Maybe a way to take out certain targets?" Jason was sitting back, finishing his third slice of pizza, smiling at her. He loved listening to her ramble about this, his mind worked pretty much the same when he was forming a plan and seeing someone else relate felt amazing.
"I agree, get our things there and ready, I'll have a helmet for you by then," he said. Her eyes snapped to his.
"You're going to give me a helmet?" she asked. He nodded.
"Can't have my sidekick without a matching helmet" he teased. She glared hard at him.
"You will regret saying that next time we get into the ring, I'm going to break that gorgeous nose of yours," she snarked, sitting back and grabbing another slice. "Anyway, back to the topic at hand..."
Jason and Y/N planned for another hour or so, discussing entrances and exits, figuring out what the other Robins could do while they were searching the rest of the hotel. Jason even came up with the idea of having all of the Robins and him wearing the same suit and switching masks. It would be obvious that it wasn't the same person, none of the Robins looked alike, but it would throw someone off for a moment and that could be key, just a moment could be the difference between life and death.
After planning for the party Jason and Y/N laid down in her bed, him wrapping his arms around her as she laid on his chest. It didn't take long for them to fall asleep. Neither of them noticed the creature watching closely from the roof across the street.

Recluse Part 8: Playing the Part
You returned to the manor with dull eyes. Dick noticed you immediately and winced as he remembers how little you truly have left. He'll change that.
He tried to help you load your three suitcases into the car, but you waved off his help with a baleful look.
"You can't be mad at me forever."
He said in a light-hearted tone. He knew the scheme would hurt you, but he needed you before you married someone else.
"I'm mad at the universe, Bruce, this entire family, and myself. I hate all of you."
He looked saddened. He knew trapping you would cause a fuss, but he didn't anticipate you hating him.
"No matter what you do, I will always hate you, so you might as well not bother."
Your words were venomous. They burned his heart like slow dripping venom. What happened to happy you? You, who loved your family and loved gymnastics, you, who loved to be around the Batfamily, you, who loved having him around. Was the marriage really that painful to you? You've gone through much worse. You now have Damian, like you wanted. You have a huge family and you'll soon make one with him as well. You'll have all the kids you want, but with him instead of Miguel.
"Spidey, what's wrong? We're meant to be together."
You grimaced. He forced this, and you hate him for it. There is nothing you can do. You face him with a serious expression.
"I have a job to do and people to look after. I'll continue this marriage, but my one demand is to allow me trips to my family and allowing me to work both as Recluse and whatever I decide to do for work here. I'll play the happy married couple, I'll be a part of the family, and I might even adopt children with you. That is my only demands. I'll give you everything you want, but those are non-negotiable."
Dick thought it over. You are offering everything he ever wanted, but he didn't like you going out as Recluse again.
"I don't want you going out as Recluse."
You laughed in disbelief. That's rich coming from a vigilante without any superpowers.
"I'm going out whether you like it or not. That is non-negotiable."
Dick didn't like that. You're risking your safety, but he knows he can't stop you, not physically, mentally, or emotionally.
"Fine. I'll allow family visits if I come along and I'll patrol with you."
You rolled your eyes. He's already suffocating.
"You will never patrol with me. We cover more ground if we are separate and I can make comms for us to link through the entire city. I know you placed trackers on me already so you'll always be able to find me if I do end up in trouble."
Dick looked confused until you lifted your shirt and revealed a tracker on your hip. It was so small, he had assumed you didn't notice it, but evidently you did. You didn't seem mad, only annoyed about the situation. You stepped to stand up to him. You were stern when you said,
"I'm willing to compromise and make a deal between us because I have lost the love of my life. I want to make something out of the loss I experienced. It makes me sick to even look at you, but I'm willing to make this work because I have no other choice. I'll play the part, but you have to let me do my own thing."
Dick grimaced. He didn't like how assertive you are, but he can convince you otherwise later in the marriage.
"Deal."
You shook his hand and got into the car. Alfred shared a look with him, but said nothing as he also got into the car and started the engine. He sighed and followed along.
He gently took your hand, which you surprisingly allowed. You had to get used to his affection somehow, so you consider this a form of exposure therapy.
You will only allow affection in public, you've decided. He said softly,
"We're going to have a wedding."
You wanted to cry. You wanted to scream. You wanted to beg the multiverse for Miguel back. Dick watched your expression carefully. He hesitated before pulling you into a hug and apologising when you begin to sob in his arms. You wanted to push him away and abandon him, but you knew he'd chase you to your universe when he inevitably can't find you in this universe.
"I'd rather we fake a wedding. We can do wedding photos and skip the big wedding. I have a lot of explaining to do to my family."
He wanted to show you off, but he understood it would be a big deal and a shock to everyone in your personal life. You decided to call Miles to fill the silence.
"¿Dónde estabas? Pasé y te buscamos por todas partes. ¿Estás con Miguel? (Where were you? I passed by and we looked everywhere for you. Are you with Miguel?)
You shook your head. This will be the hardest conversation.
"Me enteré de que yo estaba casada cuando intenté casarme con él." (I found out I was already married when I tried to marry him.)
Miles looked confused. He asked,
"What do you mean?"
You grimaced. How do you explain this in a way that makes sense? You took a deep breath before saying,
"Firmé un certificado de matrimonio, no un contrato de adopción. No lo miré antes de firmarlo. (I signed a marriage certificate, not an adoption contract. I didn't look at it before signing it.)
He looked horrified.
"¿Pretty Boy te robó de nosotros?" (Did Pretty Boy steal you from us?)
You scoffed and muttered to him,
"No por elección." (Not by choice).
Miles didn't know how to handle this situation either. He said,
"Se lo haré saber a la familia" (I will let the family know.)
You gave a small smile,
"Buena suerte. Gracias por hacer control de daños, Miles." (Good luck. Thanks for doing damage control, Miles.)
Miles gave you a wink and said goodbye exactly when they arrived to Dick's home in Bludhaven.
You take your suitcases and follow Alfred. Dick claimed one of your hands after stealing your suitcase to carry for you. You tried to act happy, even lightly bumping into him in a playful way, but your heart hurt with each interaction. All you can see is Miguel.
You even kissed his cheek on the walk to the elevator.
Dick was disgustingly in love. He couldn't believe he actually got to marry you and now he can spend forever with you. You have Damian and Tim forever now!
You looked around suddenly before your eyes landed on Joker. What's he doing in Bludhaven? You immediately turned your suit on and head towards the psychopath. You whistled casually as you cover Joker with webs after confiscating the remote he had in his hand.
"Cool it, Pennywise. What's the issue this time?"
You crossed your arms. You always were more cocky when the suit comes on. Dick continued to evacuate people either way. You scanned the area and spot his little "main event." A series of bombs planted on various individuals. You used your webs to quickly pile the bombs together and placed them in a safe spot far away from people.
You whistled so calmly while Joker was flabbergasted. He had no idea how to handle you. He's never had to handle you before.
The bombs all explode at the same time, but nobody died. Nobody was hurt at all while Joker was being taken back to Arkham. You called out with a sarcastic wave goodbye,
"Until next time clownface."
Joker didn't like you at all. He didn't know how to handle you yet. The police seemed amused by you, but you were already swinging away. You needed to explore Bludhaven and escape all the eyes on you. You took notes of each street, which are the busiest and which are patrolled by police already. The darkest alleyways, the sketchy places that look like gangs do their business, the parks and the bars. You noticed everything as you swung by everyone.
You were thankful your webs disappear after an hour. You would have felt bad if someone would have to clean them up for you.
You eventually went back to Dick's side after quickly retracting your suit and becoming your civilian self. He hugged you as if you'd never come back.
"Where have you been? Did you leave the city?"
You looked at him with a complex expression. You flatly retorted,
"Where else would I go?"
You ignore his soft apology as you passed him to go inside his home. You couldn't forgive him. He hurt you so deeply, but you had to play the part.
It's not okay. It never will be okay. You will always be a prisoner. In every universe across the entire multiverse, the people have attempted to tame you like an animal or keep you like a pet. You can escape anything now, but it hurts to know you were always meant to be in shackles.
You sighed when you entered the apartment and began to unpack in the guest room. You aren't going to sleep in the same bed as Dick. You can barely tolerate being in the same apartment as him.
You smiled softly at the dog and sat down to pet her. It took all of your energy to smile in that moment. You had nobody to beat up in vengeance. Dick told you he played no role in getting married to you, which is partially true. He didn't know Bruce made you sign a marriage contract until the ink dried and you were packing Damian's stuff. He still signed the paper, knowing fully he'd be married to you, but he would happily let you think he was also tricked and Bruce is an evil mastermind who betrayed both of their trust. It was better that way.
"Why are you unpacking in the guest room? Our bedroom is the next door down."
You shook your head. You can't find it in you to be in his space. At least, not this soon after Miguel.
"I told you I'd play the part, and I will, but I have night terrors and I don't trust that you won't touch me during them."
He was confused now. He asked,
"Why shouldn't I touch you? Shouldn't I comfort you?"
You shook your head.
"The last guy who did is lucky to be alive. I nearly killed him."
Okay, never doing that then. He appreciated you taking precautions, but he wanted to hold you at night. You must have been able to read that on his face because you said,
"You will never be able to touch me when I'm lost in my memories or hold me at night. You could comfort me after, but asking me about it will likely send me into another spiral. Do not touch me or try to pull me out of the memories. It won't go over well. Miguel only survived because of his paralysing venom."
He grimaced. He didn't like that, but he has no other option but to accommodate. What could he do? Say no? He didn't want to die because he touched you at the wrong time.
"Nothing is going to be able to stop me from killing you if you do not listen to these warnings. In those moments, I'm not your sweet partner. I'm a savage prisoner trying to escape. I'll come to you when I'm ready. I'll touch you when I can handle it, but don't touch me before I touch you."
He didn't like this one bit. How could you handle being a vigilante? It would be too dangerous to have you out.
"Sugarplum, I don't think I can handle you going out at night if you fall into those memories."
He tried to reach out to you, but you pulled away before he could. You shook your head.
"I told you already. My non-negotiable is seeing my family and friends and being a vigilante."
Admittedly, you could probably visit your universe and help there when he goes out if you do stay in while he leaves. You consider that thought for a moment. That could work.
"I don't want to see you hurt or even killed at night because of these episodes. I saw the pain you experienced after."
You frowned in thought. You can deal with multiversal threats while he's away, so that could work in your favour. He could tell he was getting to you and began to push harder,
"Please? I don't want to lose you, and neither does Damian. Damian and Tim love you as much as I do and we want you in our lives. Everyone in the family loves you. We wouldn't know how to continue with our lives without you."
You gave a resigned sigh. You looked at Dick seriously for a long moment. You had to leave to your universe either way to help. Every universe needs a spider person in it and being gone for too long could have dire consequences.
"Are you out all night?"
He didn't expect you to actually consider this.
"Yes."
You thought about it. That could work out for you. If he shows up randomly, you could lie and say you went to get groceries or food.
"Every night?"
Why are you so curious? Dick was suspicious now. Why didn't you just give him a yes or no answer? It seems very straightforward. He responded with suspicion,
"Yes."
You breathed a small sigh of relief, trying to mask it as a sigh of defeat. You tried to appear like you were cracking.
"And we are the only vigilantes in this city? Your entire family is in Gotham?"
He was still suspicious at your interest, but he replied,
"Yes. Why are you asking these questions?"
You paced to get out the nervous energy. How do you say this without sounding suspicious?
"If I get to visit my friends and family more often, I'll consider giving up being a vigilante. I want Miles's opinion first."
You, obviously, aren't going to give up. You are only jumping universes and helping the multiverse.
"I'll do anything for your safety."
You softly replied,
"I'll consider it, but don't expect it."
Dick was surprised you'd let it go without a huge fight. You seem stubborn and hotheaded, but maybe the heartbreak changed you. Maybe you want nothing to do with being a vigilante until you are over Miguel. You seemed like you had a heavy sadness that weighs on you daily. He took your hand in his and kissed your knuckles lightly before whispering,
"That's all I ask."
You wanted to move away, but you know you have to get used to him. He's not Miguel. He's too aggressive in his affection. Miguel was always patient and normally asked for consent before touching you. Dick will have to restrain himself. You'll have to put a leash on him to get him off of you.
"Please be patient with me. I struggle with physical affection until I trust the person and I always pick fight when I'm put in a fight-or-flight situation."
Dick will have to put an end to that struggle. He'll drown you in affection. You eyed him carefully. You were waiting for him to jump on you like a dog, but all he did was hug you. He would like to keep his liver, thank you very much.
You hugged him back after a long moment of hesitation. It was awkward and felt more like hugging a raccoon than a human (neither party was sure the other wasn't going to freak out), but it wasn't the worst thing in the world.
You didn't want his arms around you, but you accepted them without fuss. You have to play the part, and the main part is accepting his overbearing affection. You wished you were stuck with Tim. At least Tim would respect your boundaries involving affection.
"Is it too late to change brothers?"
You muttered to yourself, quiet enough for Dick to not hear it, but loud enough for you to feel relieved it's out in the world.
"What was that, honey bunny?"
You paused to consider repeating yourself. Tim felt like the lesser of two evils, but you needed more time with him to jump ship.
"Could we go visit Tim? I want to spend more time with the... family."
You struggled to say the word family. They aren't your family. They never will be your family. Your family was Miguel and Miles, not this weird bunch of billionaires.
Dick melted. Yes, family. You are fully accepting his family as yours. He is so excited for the wedding. He's so excited to plan it and finally make you his in the eyes of the public.
Tim had a drafted copy of the certificate with his name listed as the husband if you change your mind within the next couple of days.
You liked Tim much more than Dick, he can tell. All you need to do is ask and he'll change everything legally and publicly. He even has a fake photo of you holding his hand with both engagement rings front and centre.
Just in case.

Hanging By a Thread (2)
Prev
Strolling into the kitchen, Jason freezes as he reaches for a muffin. Dark hair, blue eyes- the old man had gone and adopted another one. Without telling him. Which totally didn’t hurt. Not at all. He didn’t care about the number of people living at Wayne Manor. Nope. He just came over for baked goods. Jason continues his reach for the muffin, grabbing one and pulling his arm back before raising an eyebrow at the kid.
“How long’ve you been here?” He asks, plopping down at one of the stools next to her.
“What time is it?” She asks, exhaustion clear in her voice. Jason blinks, but glances at his watch.
“It’s almost six.” He says. She slumps further down in her seat.
“A little over an hour.” She says with a sigh. Jason frowns.
“You’ve only been here an hour?” He asks, and she nods. Why the hell would Bruce adopt a new kid, bring her home, and then be nowhere around only an hour after the kid came back? He starts to ask her about it, then stops. “I’m Jason, by the way.” Her mouth twitches up slightly into a tiny smile.
“Nice to meet you. I’m Marinette.” Marinette introduces herself and Jason nods at her.
“Ah, Master Jason, I see you’ve met Miss Marinette.” Alfred says, suddenly walking into the kitchen. Jason nods, shoving the rest of the muffin in his mouth before Alfred can chastise him for ruining his dinner.
“Sure did, Alfie. Anyone else know about the munchkin?” He asks, snorting at the affronted look on Marinette’s face.
“Of course. I did ask Master Bruce before I agreed to watch over Miss Marinette.” Alfred says, and Jason frowns. Hold on a minute-
“Are you the one who adopted Marinette?” Jason asks, eyes wide in shock. Marinette huffs out a laugh as Alfred raises an eyebrow.
“Heavens, no. Miss Marinette is the granddaughter of a friend. She needed a place to stay, and so she is here.” Alfred pauses, frowning for a moment. “Perhaps it is best that you tell your brothers before dinner.” He adds, gesturing towards the oven timer that was quickly ticking down. Jason thinks of Damian first, and how much the kid would hate to be blindsided, and almost decides to just let it happen. Then he glances at Marinette again, and sees how tired the kid looks, all the tension in her shoulders.
“Yeah. I’ll go do that.” Jason finally says, pushing off of the stool. “Welcome to Gotham, kid.” He adds, giving Marinette a grin before heading deeper into the Manor to find his brothers. Poking his head into the library first, he waves at Duke, who glances up from the papers scattered in front of him with a frazzled look on his face.
“Why did no one tell me that college was like this?” He asks, frowning.
“Because none of the rest of us went to college.” Jason says with a snort. Duke winces. “Well, Bruce did, I guess. But he dropped out.”
“Sorry, I just-” Duke stops, sighing. “I went two weeks without any sort of homework. And then all of my classes assigned stuff at the same time. It’s madness.”
“Speaking of madness-” Jason starts and Duke gives him a look. “Alfred is watching a kid for one of his friends and she’s staying here for an undetermined amount of time.” Jason rushes out. Duke blinks.
“Did… did Alfred catch Bruce’s adoption bug?” He asks. Jason shakes his head, grinning.
“No, but we better hope the kid has good parents. Otherwise, Bruce is definitely gonna try to adopt her.” He says. Duke sighs.
“Of course he will. You need help finding everyone else?” He asks, Jason considers taking him up on his offer, then glances at the pile of homework surrounding the kid.
“Nah, I’ve got it.” Jason says, giving Duke a small salute before walking out of the library. His siblings weren’t always at the Manor. In fact, the only two who lived there constantly at this point were Duke and Damian. And while Duke was (mostly) normal and enjoyed living in the Manor, Damian was definitely a Gremlin who preferred the Cave. Who knows, maybe the kid had grown up enough that he wouldn’t act like an actual hellion when Jason breaks the news.
---
Jason ducks, dodging another projectile from the demon spawn.
“Damian! Stop throwing things at Jason!” Dick yells, trying to get between them.
“Do we have to all be down here? Yelling? I’m trying to work on a case!” Tim complains from his spot at the computer. Jason huffs.
“I was trying to be a good citizen. Didn’t want you all scaring the shit outta the kid upstairs. She looks stressed enough without you all behind dumbasses.” He retorts, glaring at Damian as the kid throws another batarang towards him.
“But Bruce didn’t adopt her?” Dick asks. Jason shakes his head.
“Nope. This one is all on Alfie. Apparently she’s the granddaughter of some lady he knew back in England.” He says. Damian purses his lips.
“As long as she stays out of my way, we won’t have a problem.” He says firmly. Jason rolls his eyes.
“She’s a literal kid, Damian. Give her a break.” He says. Before Damian can argue, the intercom on the wall chirps.
“Dinner is ready. Please wash up and make your way to the dining room.” Alfred’s voice rings. Jason rushes out of the cave so that he could see the looks on his brother’s faces when they see the kid for the first time. Rushing into the dining room, he freezes, his jaw dropping. Marinette and Duke were already in there, obviously, but so was Bruce. And suddenly, things that he didn’t notice earlier are all he can notice. Like the fact that Marinette and Bruce have the same exact eye color. It’s not just ‘oh she has blue eyes’, like with most of his brothers. No, the color is identical. And their noses were painfully similar.
“Jason, come take a seat.” Bruce says, glancing over from his conversation with Marinette. Jason schools his face into a neutral expression before taking Damian’s usual seat in the hopes that he could force the gremlin to sit next to Marinette. He had a theory. Making eye contact with Duke, he subtly tilts his head towards Bruce, then Marinette. Duke nods once. This was insane. Dick and Tim walk in next, and Jason watches as they both freeze, too. So it wasn’t just him. Had Alfred noticed? Did Bruce notice? Tim and Dick both sit, thankfully leaving the seat directly next to Marinette open. Damian walks into the room and huffs, sending Jason a glare before plopping down next to Marinette. And if Jason’s theory is wrong, he’ll eat a damn shoe. Because despite the fact that Damian’s skin is a little darker, and his eyes are green instead of blue, he and Marinette look related. And with Marinette right between Bruce and Damian, it was almost impossible to miss. Bruce had a lot of explaining to do.

I recently found your account and I’ve binged all your Jason Todd work. You’ve quickly became one of my fav Jason writers!! You write him so well I’m obsessed 😍 Would you be able to do a fic with a female S/O who doesn’t want kids?? 👉👈 Adoptive or biological. I don’t want kids and there’s a severe lack of child-free fics so I’d really appreciate it 🥹 Thank you ♥️ Keep up the great work!!
Ari Note: Here ya go. It's a little Early for Thirst Trap Thursday buuuut. I think it fits Enjoy!💜
"So," the reporter asked, grinning like they were about to catch you in something, "I noticed you're not drinking."
"Nope," you answer, still smiling, acutely aware that they think they're about to say something about you being pregnant. And you groan internally. It gets old.
Like yeah. Jason Todd is a beautiful man. And yeah. You'd call him daddy. And yeah, he made jokes before about taking you home and getting you pregnant- despite having your tubes tied. But the jokes were just that. Jokes. He didn't want kids any more than you did.
He knew firsthand exactly how dangerous it was to have a vigilante parent. And you? You just liked being able to fuck, take naps, and get your hair done whenever you wanted without worrying about a sitter. You wanted freedom. And now that you had it, you were going to use it.
"So is there going to be a-"
"Not unless it's an immaculate conception. We took an abstinence pledge."
And as the reporter stands there sputtering awkwardly. Not expecting that answer, beside you you feel Jason choke back a laugh. Not just because it was ridiculous but because he was pretty sure that, despite his best efforts to clean you up after dragging you into a coat closet not 30 minutes earlier, you were probably still a mess. And he had your panties in his pocket.
"We really did," Jason said solemnly, nodding. "All those street preachers finally got to me."
"We're all netflix and no chill," you add.
"That would make a great T-shirt," Jason mused.
"I'mma make some for when we go-"
"Please don't," Bruce sighed, watching the reporter, now defeated as he shuffles away.
"Oh come on," you plead, "That wasn't even the meanest answer I could have given."
"It's true," Jason appealed, trying not to grin.
"No," Bruce said. "Just stop being-"
"You told me I can't drink at this one," you remind him, leaning into Jason's side when he puts an arm around your shoulder. "I can be sober or nice to the press. Not both."
And as Bruce walks away, pinching the Bridge of his nose Jason barks a laugh, "I can't believe he really was about to tell you to go order a drink."
"I know- I can't believe Dick actually owes me money already."
"He owes Alfred too- you did it in record time."

Author's Note: Y'all ever write a self-indulgent Friends To Lovers fic? 'Cause that's what this is. Enjoy! -Thorne
It wasn’t unusual for her to suddenly appear in his office. She did it most days. Okay, it was more like every day but that’s not important. The fact is, she showed up and he wasn’t at all the least bit surprised when she barged through the office door and slammed it behind her.
“Morning,” he murmured, taking his eyes off the screen but a moment to lock them with hers.
“Good morning, Bruce,” she responded with a polite smile. “We need to talk.”
That wasn’t unusual either. When she came to the office it was because she wanted to either complain about something going on or because she was bored and didn’t have anything to do, so badgering her best friend seemed like the best option. It wasn’t, but he wasn’t going to tell her that.
“What do we need to talk about?” Bruce questioned, clicking at the mouse until his screen loaded.
“Something important. Something especially important.” She replied and with one hand reached behind her and flipped the lock on his door.
Now that was unusual. And Bruce saw this going one of two ways and he hoped it wasn’t the first way that involved her pulling a gun.
“Okay,” he said and watched her out of the corner of his eye as waltzed around his desk and perched herself on the corner. “Am I in trouble, (Y/N)?”
“If you disagree with me, you will be,” she retorted and she started fumbling in her tote.
“You sound serious,” Bruce noted.
(Y/N) harrumphed. “I am quite possibly the most serious I’ve been in years.” She pulled out three manila folders and handed them to him, watching as he opened the first and started reading through it.
He didn’t say anything as he opened the others and read them but frowned when he set them aside and went back to his computer.
“I’ve already planned on a new secretary, (Y/N).”
She watched him with careful eyes and explained, “Those aren’t secretary files, Bruce. They’re marriage candidates.”
At that, his entire body went rigid and ever so slowly he drew his gaze from the screen back to her, staring her straight in the eyes.
“I…beg your pardon?” he asked as if not understanding what she’d just said.
(Y/N) rolled her eyes and picked up the files. “Each of these women are successful elites from either Metropolis, Star, or Central City. You have arranged marriage meetings with them Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday to decide which one you want to marry.”
This was happening way too fast, and he still didn’t know what “this” was.
“I’m not opposed to marriage, (Y/N), but why?”
She pointed to the picture on his desk, and he briefly glanced at it. Him, Dick, and Alfred on Christmas morning last year.
“Dick needs a mother.” She was never one to mince her words. “A father can raise a son, but the boy needs a mother’s love too, Bruce.”
“I think you’re a bit out of line here.” He remarked, brows pulling together. “We’re fine at the manor.”
“Bruce…please don’t take this the wrong way, but you’re not a soft man. You’re hard edges and firmness, and while that isn’t a bad thing, Dick needs a mother who can be the parent that isn’t firm. He needs a mother’s guiding hand.”
She handed him the files again. “I’ve met each of these women. They’re good women who will make wonderful wives and even better mothers.” She stared at him. “You should know how important it is for a boy to have a mother.”
Bruce was on his feet in an instant, in front of her, eyes narrowed into a glare as he bit out, “(Y/N), now you’re out of line.”
“Really?” she challenged, not at all threatened by his towering figure. “Look my in the eye and tell me which parent you miss more. Thomas…or Martha?”
“I miss both of my parents. Every day.”
“And I don’t doubt that. But I know you miss Martha the most. Isn’t she the one you promised to save Gotham for?” (Y/N) questioned and his mouth snapped shut, jaw clenching tightly as he averted his eyes because he knew she was right.
She reached out and rested a hand on his forearm, forcing his eyes to hers once more; her gaze softened and she murmured, “You miss your mother more than the world, Bruce. How do you think Dick feels every night when he goes to sleep? Fathers are the protectors for their children, but mothers are the comforters—there are going to be things that you can’t help him with, but a woman can.”
(Y/N) gazed at him and pulled her hand away. “At least go and meet them,” she requested and when he didn’t say anything, she sighed and picked up her tote, making her way to the door.
She flipped the lock and paused, glancing over her shoulder to say, “At least think about what I’ve said, Bruce. For Dick…and for you.” He met her eyes and she added, “I think getting married would be good for you too.”
He nodded, and since that was all they could hope for, she left the office and Bruce collapsed into his chair, turning around to stare out the window.
***
His theory that she would show up Friday evening proved true when she waltzed into his office and took a seat in one of the leather chairs in front of his desk, delicately crossing one of her legs over the other.
“How’d the interviews go?” she asked, not even bothering to ask him how his day was or how his week had been.
“My day was great, (Y/N), thanks for asking,” he mocked with a glare and she waved it off.
“Interviews, Bruce. How’d they go.”
He let out a sigh. “They went well. Each of them was polite and kind.”
“And?” (Y/N) gestured for him to continue.
“And nothing. That’s it.”
She huffed and crossed her arms over her chest. “Seriously? You just met them for a singular purpose and all you’ve got it, they’re polite and kind?” She glared at him. “What’d you talk about?”
Bruce sighed again and reclined in his office chair. “Humanitarian works, college days, high society—you know, the usual.”
(Y/N) gave him an unamused look. “Did any ask for a second date?”
“All of them in fact.”
“Did you agree?”
“No.”
Her head lolled back, and she glared at the ceiling. “Did you even think about what I talked about a few days ago?”
“I still am.”
“Then why didn’t you agree to see one of them again?”
“Because there wasn’t anything we had in common.”
“Most people who have arranged marriages don’t, Bruce. That’s why you go on dates and get to know them.” Her eyes were still on the ceiling. “What’s the real reason you said no?” She always knew when he’d lied to her.
After a moment, he murmured, “…I didn’t think any of them would be suitable to be Dick’s adoptive mother.”
“I guess that’s…fair,” she agreed and they both fell silent.
A couple minutes later, he said, “I’ve been thinking about what you said though, (Y/N). About finding a wife who would be a good mother for Dick.”
“Uh huh.”
“I think you’re right. I do offer Dick everything a father could. Support, protection, guidance…but he is missing that love only a mother can give a son.”
“And how’s that making you feel?” she questioned softly.
His voice got quiet. “Like how I was when I was growing up without mother. (Y/N), I…I don’t want Dick to feel that way.”
At that, she drew her gaze from the ceiling to his eyes and she reasoned, “Then I think you should call one of the girls back and agree to a second date. You won’t find perfection in one day, even with how intuitive you are.”
Bruce shrugged. “I just want to find someone closer to Gotham. Someone who is familiar with us already.”
(Y/N) grunted. “I purposely moved away from Gotham because no one is.”
“That’s fair,” Bruce chuckled, and they fell into a silence again.
Suddenly, a thought flashed across her mind and she sat up. “Us.” She blurted out and he looked at her.
“What?”
(Y/N) gestured between them. “Us, Bruce. You and me.”
“I don’t follow,” he replied with a confused expression and she huffed, rolling her eyes.
“You’re an idiot,” she griped, then she stood and planted her hands on his desk, leaning over to get in his face. “You and I are the closest to Gotham as you’ll get, and I’m familiar with you and Dick.” She smiled. “Marry me.”
She could count on one hand how many times she’d ever stunned her best friend silent and that was number two because his jaw went slack and his eyebrows shot up to his hairline, steel blue eyes wide.
(Y/N) frowned. “Oh, come on, you can’t tell me the thought didn’t cross your mind at least once.” Silence. “Oh my God, are you serious? You didn’t even think about it at all? Like ever?”
He shook his head, mouth still hanging open.
“Oh, for God’s sakes, close your mouth and wipe that stupid look off your face. It’s not a completely inconceivable idea, you moron.” (Y/N) held a hand up, counting off her fingers, “I’m of acceptable status, I dress well, I’m thoroughly educated, I do humanitarian work all over the world, I love your son, and I’m probably the one woman that doesn’t make you wanna stab yourself in the eye with a fork.”
She grinned at him. “You’re not going to find anyone better than me here in Gotham, Brucie-boy. Besides, I think (Y/N) Wayne has a nice ring to it, don’t you think?”
Finally, he managed to make himself speak and he blurted out, “I stopped thinking like five minutes ago. I’m not even sure how to do that anymore.”
(Y/N) pulled a face and griped, “You’re an idiot.”
“I am not,” he retorted with a glare. “You can’t just propose to your best friend out of the blue and expect them to function like it’s normal!”
“You’re Batman,” she whispered. “Figure it out.” (Y/N) pointed at him. “There’s another plus on my side! I already know your deepest secrets! See, aren’t I a catch?”
“Was this your plan all along?” Bruce suddenly questioned and she gaped at him for a second before shaking her head.
“…No.”
“(Y/N),” he drawled, and she sighed.
“Alright, it crossed my mind a couple times but that’s why I started with the other women first. I was kinda hoping you’d pick one of them.” (Y/N) looked at him. “I really don’t see anything wrong with us getting married though. We’ve been friends since we were babies, we have a lot of the same interests, and we both care for Dick.”
She shrugged. “I mean we might not be in love, but our marriage doesn’t have to be. We’re stepping up for a greater good. For a young boy who deserves to have two parents.” (Y/N) reached out and held out her hand. “So? What do you say?”
Bruce gazed at her for a long time, longer than she was comfortable with because she knew he was mentally pulling her mind apart. After a few moments he stood and walked around the desk to stand in front of her.
She pulled her hand back in and gave a curious look. “Bruce?” His hands gently took hold of her cheeks and he leaned forward, even as her eyes went wide and she whispered, “Bruce, what—”
He softly brushed his lips against hers and (Y/N) all but melted against him, her hands pressed flat against his chest. They pulled away a moment later and he rested his forehead to hers.
“I think we can make it work, (Y/N).”
She couldn’t fight the giddy smile that came over her face. “Yeah?”
Bruce matched her smile. “Yeah.”
***
“So, you’re tellin’ me,” he started dubiously, looking at him. “That you and Ma only got together because you guys wanted to make sure Golden-boy had two parents instead of just you?”
Bruce didn’t even take his eyes off the screen as he responded absentmindedly, “That pretty much covers it.”
Jason threw his hands in the air. “There’s no way! There’s no way that shit was arranged! You two make googly eyes at one another when you think no one is watching and you kiss Ma before you go to work every day!” he looked at his brothers. “Y’all know what I’m sayin’ right?”
Tim nodded. “Jay’s got a point, dad. For an arranged marriage, the two of you are really in love.”
Dick placed a hand over his heart and smugly admitted, “You’re welcome everyone, for bringing mom and dad together in real love.”
A chorus of “Fuck you’s” echoed from Jason and Tim, and Damian placed his hands on his hips.
“When did you know you loved Umi, Father?”
Finally, he pulled his gaze from the Batcomputer, and even behind his cowl, they could see the love he had in his eyes and in his voice as he said, “Your mother and I dated for a year before we married, but the night of our wedding, we spent it at the manor and Dick crawled into our bed and spent the night wrapped in our arms.”
Bruce smiled. “I woke up early that morning and saw him curled in (Y/N)’s arms and all I could think was that I’d never loved a woman more than that moment then.” His eyes shifted to all of his sons. “And I’ve only fallen deeper in love with her with each of you that’s come into our home. You make us better parents every day and I wouldn’t change what I was given for anything in the world.”
He barely had time to breathe before all four of his sons were crashing into him, squeezing him as tears spilled down their cheeks.
Bruce huffed a quiet laugh and took a moment to brush a hand through each of his sons’ hair. “I love you, boys.”
A chorus of “I love you too’s” came back at him and before anyone could speak, they heard someone coo, “Aww, that’s so sweet!”
They spun around to see (Y/N) with her phone out, a mile-wide smile on her face, eyes shining with tears.
“Ma…what are you doing?” Jason questioned and she clicked something on her phone.
“Oh, nothing, my sweet boy,” she smiled, and all of her sons started pulling away from Bruce.
“Did you just record that?” Tim asked and she took a step back.
“I would never!” and she stared them down for a split second before spinning on her heel and hauling off towards the stairs. Her sons sprinted after her and she let out a squeal as she skipped the steps two at a time to get away from them.
“Ma come back here!” Jason shouted.
“Umi! Our dignity is on that phone!”
“I dunno, I think it’s sweet!”
“It’s not going to be sweet when she sends it to the group chat that every superhero is in, Dick! We have reputations!”
“Oh…that’s a good point, Tim. Mom! Come back here!”
(Y/N) gasped as someone’s arms wrapped around her waist and she came face to face with Bruce—well, Batman, and she yelped when he pulled her phone out of her pocket.
“Bruuuuuuce!” she whined. “Please don’t delete it!” (Y/N) reached for the phone and he held it out of reach. “Darling, my sweet darling, Bruce, please,” she plead. “If you love your wife and mother of your children, you won’t do that.”
His gaze darted to hers and she pouted, sticking her bottom lip out in the way that she knew he’d crack. “Please, my heart. Let me have a reminder of my beautiful boys.”
“You won’t send it to the chats?” he asked, and she crossed a finger over her heart.
“Cross my heart, darling.” He handed her back the phone and she smiled, leaning up to peck the corner of his mouth. “Thank you, Bruce.”
He cupped her cheek with his gloved hand, thumb brushing over her cheekbone and he pulled her into a real kiss, ignoring the exaggerated gags behind him.
“I love you,” he murmured as he pulled away from her lips. “More than you know.”
(Y/N) hummed, her eyes still closed, and she whispered, “You might love me more, but I love you most.” She opened her eyes and gazed at him. “All my boys.”
Suddenly, her phone started dinging like crazy and he stared at her, his Batman voice coming out as he surmised, “You sent it to the chat, didn’t you?”
She gave him an innocent smile and giggled, “I might’ve.”
“You’re going to pay for all the teasing that Hal and Barry are going to give me, (Y/N) Wayne,” he warned, and she scoffed.
“Oh, boo hoo, I’m so scared of what the big bad Bat is go—” a gasp escaped her when he hauled her up against his body and she stared at him with wide eyes.
A siren went off down in the cave and he looked towards the boys. “Go.” They all hurried off, complaining about the various texts they were all getting.
Bruce looked back at her, voice lowering as he growled, “After patrol I’m coming up to the bedroom and you’d better be ready, because I’m not going to stop ravishing you until you’re begging me for release.”
Something hot, tight, and fierce shot through (Y/N)’s gut and she could only flounder like a fish as he pulled her into another searing kiss before he spun on his heel and descended into the cave.
She gathered herself and called out after him, “You can’t just say something like that and then leave! That’s not fair, Bruce! Bruce, are you listening to me!”
Only his laughter echoed from below.
“Bruce!”
