Being healthy doesn’t mean you just shop at a health food store. Medicinal Foods founder Sky Kubby explains how to prevent chronic disease, the key to health and disease prevention: DIGESTION❣️ One way to assist your body’s digestion is Medicinal Food’s Digestive Enzyme called “Digest it All”. 🍋🥦🥝🍓🥩🍔 Powerful Digestive Enzyme. “The key to prevention is healthy digestion.” It’s actually an old Chinese proverb. And we all know an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Bad food-combining such as starches and proteins or sugars with starches or proteins results in fermentation (gas and bloating) and putrefaction (smelly gas and rotting). We all cheat and it’s great to have a strong enzyme on hand to help with digestion. But did you know that the last thing enzymes do is digest food? Experience “Enzyme Therapy”. Taken by themselves, on an empty stomach, enzymes provide a whole host of metabolic functions to help clean, heal and regenerate the body- improving the immune defense system, and waste-removal from the bloodstream. 🫶🏼 #digestivehealth #digestion #digestivesupport #digestiontips #digestiveenzymes #guthealthiskey #guthealthismentalhealth #guthealthforlife #guthealthchangeseverything #guthealthisimportant #guthealing #metabolism #healthandwellness #healthylifestyle #healthyeating #healthyrecipes #healthyhabits

Today my heart breaks for the family of tWitch.
Some may wonder how someone can hurt so badly behind closed doors, yet seem so ful of life and happiness otherwise.
Well unfortunately, I don’t wonder.
I have been there……😢
I was fortunate enough to never be strong enough to actually hurt myself……
However, I really, really, really, really wanted to.
I just wanted the pain to stop.
When I lived in constant pain and had nobody to tell
And……
Nobody that was willing to listen, that was my lowest point.
Even though I did not believe God cared for me at that time, God was there in my heart, saying…..
💖Don’t give up
💖You can do this
💖I love you
💖I have more for you to do
💖I will lead you to people that care
💖I will make your future bright
And he was right.
Today it is hard to imagine living in a state of constant pain.
It is not necessary yet so many never find relief.
My real relief came when I decided to focus on my gut health.
Heal your gut, heal your brain 🧠💖💖
For me, the state of my microbiome was also the state of my brain.
Gut health matters!
If I can help you determine what that means for your relief…..

Why Intermittent Fasting?
Tumblr media
Why Intermittent Fasting?
My intermittent fasting cycle goes like this: I wake up between 5-6 am with no alarm. I drink warm lemon water or herbal tea around 7 am.  I’m still fasting.  I don’t have anything to eat until about 11 am. I quit eating altogether between 6-7 pm.  So from 6 pm-11 am is roughly 16 hours of intermittent fasting. It isn’t 7 days a week, but it is approximately 5. I love it and it shows.
The benefits of intermittent fasting
Improved mental clarity and concentration.
Weight and body fat loss.
Lowered blood insulin and sugar levels.
Reversal of type 2 diabetes.
Increased energy.
Improved fat burning.
Increased growth hormone.
Lowered blood cholesterol.
I love intermittent fasting which is an eating pattern where you cycle between periods of eating and fasting. Numerous studies show that it can have powerful benefits for your body and brain.
Here are 8 evidence-based health benefits of intermittent fasting.
1. Intermittent Fasting Changes The Function of Cells, Genes and Hormones
When you don't eat for a while, several things happen in your body.
For example, your body initiates important cellular repair processes and changes hormone levels to make stored body fat more accessible.
Here are some of the changes that occur in your body during fasting:
Insulin levels: Blood levels of insulin drop significantly, which facilitates fat burning.
Human growth hormone: The blood levels of growth hormone may increase as much as 5-fold.  Higher levels of this hormone facilitate fat burning and muscle gain, and have numerous other benefits.
Cellular repair: The body induces important cellular repair processes, such as removing waste material from cells.
Gene expression: There are beneficial changes in several genes and molecules related to longevity and protection against disease.
When you fast, insulin levels drop and human growth hormone increases. Your cells also initiate important cellular repair processes and change which genes they express.
2. Intermittent Fasting Can Help You Lose Weight and Belly Fat
Generally speaking, intermittent fasting will make you eat fewer meals.
Additionally, intermittent fasting enhances hormone function to facilitate weight loss. It boosts your metabolic rate (increases calories out) and reduces the amount of food you eat (reduces calories in).  All things considered, intermittent fasting can be an incredibly powerful weight loss tool.
3. Intermittent Fasting Can Reduce Insulin Resistance, Lowering Your Risk of Type 2 Diabetes
Type 2 diabetes has become incredibly common in recent decades. Its main feature is high blood sugar levels in the context of insulin resistance. Anything that reduces insulin resistance should help lower blood sugar levels and protect against type 2 diabetes. Intermittent fasting has been shown to have major benefits for insulin resistance and lead to an impressive reduction in blood sugar levels.
Intermittent fasting can reduce insulin resistance and lower blood sugar levels.
4. Intermittent Fasting Can Reduce Oxidative Stress and Inflammation in The Body
Oxidative stress is one of the steps towards aging and many chronic diseases.  It involves unstable molecules called free radicals, which react with other important molecules (like protein and DNA) and damage them.  Several studies show that intermittent fasting may enhance the body's resistance to oxidative stress.  Studies show that intermittent fasting can help fight inflammation, another key driver of all sorts of common diseases. Intermittent fasting can reduce oxidative damage and inflammation in the body. This should have benefits against aging and development of numerous diseases.
5. Intermittent Fasting May be Beneficial For Heart Health
Heart disease is currently the world's biggest killer.  It is known that various health markers (so-called "risk factors") are associated with either an increased or decreased risk of heart disease.
Intermittent fasting has been shown to improve numerous different risk factors, including blood pressure, total and LDL cholesterol, blood triglycerides, inflammatory markers and blood sugar levels.  Studies show that intermittent fasting can improve numerous risk factors for heart disease such as blood pressure, cholesterol levels, triglycerides and inflammatory markers.
6. Intermittent Fasting Induces Various Cellular Repair Processes
When we fast, the cells in the body initiate a cellular "waste removal" process called autophagy.
This involves the cells breaking down and metabolizing broken and dysfunctional proteins that build up inside cells over time. Increased autophagy may provide protection against several diseases, including cancer and Alzheimer's disease.  Fasting triggers a metabolic pathway called autophagy, which removes waste material from cells.
7. Intermittent Fasting is Good For Your Brain
What is good for the body is often good for the brain as well. Intermittent fasting improves various metabolic features known to be important for brain health.  This includes reduced oxidative stress, reduced inflammation and a reduction in blood sugar levels and insulin resistance. Animal studies have also shown that intermittent fasting protects against brain damage due to strokes.  Intermittent fasting may have important benefits for brain health. It may increase growth of new neurons and protect the brain from damage.
8. Intermittent Fasting May Extend Your Lifespan, Helping You Live Longer
One of the most exciting applications of intermittent fasting may be its ability to extend lifespan.
Given the known benefits for metabolism and all sorts of health markers, it makes sense that intermittent fasting could help you live a longer and healthier life.

Y'all gut health matters... Sharon Kingsley shares: _____ "This is hard for me to show but I want to brag on God. So about a year ago out of nowhere I had my face start breaking out in a horrible rash that split and drained and burned and itched with only short breaks where it would clear a little and come back with a vengeance. We couldn't figure out what it was. It lasted for almost a year. I would have to sleep with a fan blowing on my face. I could hardly eat cause I couldn't open my mouth and I got down to 118 lbs which is horrid for me. My emotions were drained all the time. During that time I cried out to God. He taught me so much about himself. His love for me. How to think about him and healing. I still struggle with trusting Him completely. Even though I know, had I trusted him fully, he could have healed me on his own, I needed something tangable and God will work with you where you’re at. I found some gut health supplements and that was the beginning of slow healing. Even still today, there's little things I deal with from that as my body is still healing. But all the time I'm noticing things getting better. I can say without a shadow of a doubt I felt God's grace to get through each day. It was so tangible. He's so amazing is all I can say. Health is a blessing which I try not to take for granted. So that's what I'm thankful for this year. To smile without my face hurting or being horribly embarrassed!” . . . . Open your mind before you open your mouth! 😉 Here is a bowl of healthy comfort food. I love to use what I have and see what the end result will look like. Sautéd sweet potatoes, yellow onion, Bella mushrooms, green bell peppers, a few roasted beets and tomatoes with farro with a few beautiful spices like cardamom, paprika, curry and garlic powder with sesame seeds, hemp seeds, EVOO with garlic and a little vegetable broth. Simplicity. Not everyone can have sweet potatoes or mushrooms and not everyone likes sweet potatoes or mushrooms and some people are allergic to sweet potatoes or mushrooms per say, but there is something healthy that you CAN have. Have zero expectations of other people when you are deciding what YOU want to eat. Take the sole responsibility for your food decisions and separate your wants from shoulds when selecting your food. I think acting on the above helps me not feel guilty or disappointed when they ordered a crispy fried chicken bbq rice bowl when I ordered this. 😉 So there’s that. Happy Sunday ya’ll! . . . . #foodforthegram #healthynutritiontips #plantbaseddrippin #bellamushrooms #plantbasedfoodlover #simplicityfood #chooseyourfoodwisely #plantsoverprocessed #guthealthiskey #guthealthyfood #sweetpotatomash #farrolove #memyselfnmichelle (at Forney, Texas) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bv9NvdhA49G/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1e8jf574jesvz

Lets be real, this is what 2 under 2 looks like some days. 🙈 Now, lets be real about something else, your health and journey to it! A workout plan, shakes, and wraps are great, but they don't get to the root issue! Proper gut function is ESSENTIAL for a healthy lifestyle! I know some of you may pass over Plexus because you're already using another health and wellness product. But these products are the perfect compliment to all that hard work I see you putting in! Many of our customers are reps for other companies, and many of my fellow ambassadors use products from other MLMs as well! When your insides are functioning how they should, diet and exercise has an even bigger impact. If your goal is a healthy body and you're not taking care of your gut, you are missing a vital step! 🤔 #guthealthorwhathealth #whatifthiscouldchangeeverything #letsbereal #guthealthiskey #journeytofit #2under2
