Looking at this the other way round, this is a good primer for marketing interviews. Or assessing areas to improve.

someone might have already said this, I’ve been a little mia, buuut now that I have thought about it more, the couch scene actually makes so much sense?
the thing is, we’ve only been considering the couch metaphor from a meta standpoint - and don’t get me wrong, that is def an important aspect and they have been using it as such, for examply by showing us that the answer to the couch question is eddie’s couch (thank you 6x12 couch scene my most beloved <3) - but in that we are kinda forgetting that in contrast to the other metaphors (most notably heart and water metaphors <3) the couch metaphor first and foremost isn’t a meta metaphor, it is buck’s metaphor and thereby the only metaphor that the characters are actively aware of and so while the meta aspects of it definitely are at play (and in my opinion do hold up, because of course he has grown, but not yet enough and so this time the couch choice is half his own, while half still put on someone else again, and he still doesn’t see the one right in front of him) more importantly buck is actively trying to use the couch metaphor and is actively trying to put it into play by being proactive, but it also means that the couch metaphor is not infallible, because buck is not infallible
from buck’s perspective, natalia is a good candidate and he didn’t compromise on his own boundaries for her and she still came back and stood beside him through the emotional mess that was kameron having the baby even tho that was what originally made her run - of course he would want the couch metaphor to work for the two of them (people have said it before, but it bears repeating: buck is not omniscient, he does not see the narrative signs for why he and natalia are doomed!) and of course that would make him actively put the couch metaphor into play, it’s almost like a test, like him asking can we actually ‘pick a couch’ together that works for both of us synonymous with him asking if they actually fit (which is a big step up, because it IS him making that choice and him recognizing that ‘picking a couch’ kinda needs to be a both partners kinda thing and a compromise, not him accepting couches that are hoisted on him) - and only s7 will tell us and more importantly buck the answer to that, even tho we as the audience know that the couch buck is at ease on is already out there and waiting for him to see it <3

raph was never any less suited to leadership than leo
raph was never any less suited to leadership than leo
raph was N E V E R any less suited to leadership than leo
idk how many times i can say it before it sinks in that in rise there was never once any point where that was the point being made
if you just like leo’s character better than you like raph’s, that’s fine! if you just like it better when leo is leader, that’s fine! i have no issue!
but we need to stop trying to circle that leadership change back to somehow being about better or worse or ~more cut out for it~ because it sucks to throw the great job raph did through the series under the bus in order to prop up leo’s good qualities.
they’re both great leaders. they both have strong suits and weak suits in the role, they both have growth and development when they’re in that role. they BOTH make on-screen mistakes in that role and aren’t very good at it at first! not getting a more in-depth explanation about it in the movie or series stinks and it’s very interesting to explore, but seriously.

⊹ .ᐟself care !
Taking care of yourself is incredibly important, not only for your physical health, but for your mental health as well. When you prioritize self-care, you're able to better handle stress, have more energy and feel more positive and relaxed. Some examples of self-care activities that can help with stress management include exercise, mindfulness and meditation, spending time with friends and family, journaling, and finding time for hobbies you enjoy. Remember, putting yourself first is not selfish, it is necessary to maintain balance in life.
⊹ .ᐟ mindfulness
Mindfulness involves paying attention to your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations in a non-judgmental way. It's about being present and fully immersed in the moment, without getting lost in thoughts of the future or past.By practicing it you can develop greater clarity and focus, as well as reduce stress and improve emotional balance. It can also help to increase self-awareness, which can be helpful in managing difficult emotions and situations. U can practiced through activities such as meditation, deep breathing, or simply paying mindful attention to your daily activities.

Healthy coping mechanisms are strategies or activities that help people manage difficult emotions and situations in a healthy way. Some examples : exercising, journaling, spending time in nature, meditating, talking to a friend, engaging in a creative activity, or listening to music, traveling with friends somewhere...By utilizing healthy coping mechanisms, u can be able to manage stress and emotions in a positive and productive way, rather than resorting to unhealthy coping methods such as substance abuse, binging, or self-harm.
⊹ .ᐟstrong relationships
In addition to providing emotional and social support, strong relationships can also help with stress in other ways. For example, they can provide a sense of security and stability, which can reduce feelings of anxiety and stress. Relationships can also provide distractions from stressors, which can help to reduce the perception of stress. Furthermore, relationships can provide opportunities for laughter and fun, which can help to regulate stress hormones and reduce physical symptoms of stress. Overall, strong relationships can play a significant role in managing stress and promoting overall well-being.
⊹ .ᐟhealthy boundaries
Setting healthy boundaries is an important skill for managing stress and maintaining overall well-being. They refer to the limits and preferences that individuals set for themselves in their relationships with others. They enable individuals to protect themselves from stress, maintain self-respect, and preserve their energy and timel.involves clearly communicating one's limits, needs, and expectations to others for example Saying no when you need to and not feeling guilty about it,Communicating your needs and desires openly and honestly,Not tolerating disrespectful or harmful behavior from others,Scheduling time for self-care and activities that you enjoy, Protecting your personal space and time It requires a balance between being firm and flexible. how to get things done
this is a complied list of all of my favorite tips and hacks for getting things done when you just can't get yourself to do anything.
consider your physical environment carefully. are you comfy? is your hair too greasy for your liking? maybe you'd feel more productive if you changed your sleeve situation. fix any issues you have.
go wash your face. do your whole skincare routine.
time to evaluate your emotional environment - nothing too deep tho. (unless it's one of those days). make a mindmap/brain dump page and put everything down.
use pink noise when studying to help focus!
create productivity menus (also known as ADHD menus or dopamine menus) to help fight task paralysis and the fear that comes with all that you have to do everyday
FOOTWEAR IS SO IMPORTANT. get some comfy shoes on!! i've got some high quality tennis shoes and it makes me feel like i could win the next presidential election.
get 20 minutes of physical activity - we should be getting an hour but we have to start somewhere (get ur ass on youtube, babe. even if it's just walking in place, which is extremely underrated)
do (1) thing everyday that you dread (something light-hearted tho, don't harm yourself) to help build discipline and self control. wash the dishes and fully put them away. meditate for 5 mins. put yourself into a position of growth. do it!!
film videos of you just speaking to yourself. it helps with your delivery, your confidence, and your understanding of how you come across.
