Ok I’m posting this. It’s a little messy but I took the trombone, trumpet and saxophone from donkey lanky and tinys verses of the dk rap and played them on top of each other because I had to make my vision listenable. I like the composition of this song a lot.

so i watched 1949 tgg again. and i noticed something from the two in-movie parties that jay holds.

i play trombone, to preface this statement, so i’m always on the lookout for trombones in film.

in the first party in 1949, the trombones are sitting in the front row… and people are coming quite close to them.

in the second party, the trombones are a row back from where they were originally, in the first party. so what happened in the first party to make them change their seating?

i suspect either someone dropped a slide and it got stepped on, or a few people got hit by a slide cause they weren’t paying attention

it's such a good video. it fits their sense of humour so well--the slightly absurdist humour but also deeply complex lore, the fact that even if you play WELL it still sounds bad, the rhythm game base of it all. truly a great mix for dnp. and i'm absolutely biased and wearing my clown nose but it feels like it was recorded for me specifically because i had been campaigning all of gamingmas for phil to wear the catboy merch cause he hadn't yet and really it's only fair--and then he DID in this one. and didn't acknowledge it or even shill the merch. icons only.

I wish I loved From Blood and Ash by JLA, but it doesn’t hit for me. 

They marketed the book as a “fantasy bodyguard romance, forbidden love” etc. And I was sold! So I picked up fbaa and was thoroughly heartbroken the longer I read it. All the inconsistencies, goofy banter, filler (it needed a ton of editing, sorry), on top of the excessive info-dumping for the world building, AND I could NOT get behind the cringe MMC/LI, which made this book a 2/5 stars for me. And I felt that was a generous rating but then someone roasted me on goodreads for posting my review.

Recently, I started the 2nd book because my friend said it gets better but I stopped. Maybe this series just really isn’t my thing. 

Sigh.

I play a double horn among with a few other instruments and like girl what??? The horn isn't an easy instrument but you gotta learn at least something after 3 years 😭

did i even tell you guys how i pretended to know how to play an instrument for three years and only two people ever figured it out.
