Built in 1930 for silent screen star Norma Talmadge, the 5,530-square-foot Normandy style chateau was later owned by Cary Grant and Randolph Scott during their relationship, with later residents including billionaire Howard Hughes (who installed barbed wire around the perimeter), composer Irving Berlin, and actress Joan Fontaine and her husband Brian Aherne. Still standing today and largely unchanged, the house sold in 2018 for $8,000,000.
