reminder that asexuality is still classified as a mental disorder

so there's a thing i noticed from spending time in the acespec mspec community that i haven't seen a specific name for. and that may just be because i haven't looked hard enough idk. but i tried to fill the gap with this term:

asymmetrisexual / acesymmetrical

an acespec person who's attracted to two or more genders, but is different degrees or types of asexual for different ones.

so for example:

someone who is bi & graysexual for women but asexual for men

someone who is pan & cupiosexual for women but demisexual for men

etc

various flavors of nbs also factor into it but i didn't include them in the examples because it would get very complicated quickly.

i made a bunch of flag drafts but i ended up liking both of these, so i'll just give you both (one has more purple, the other has more black).

i think my attempt to visually represent this idea was successful and it looks both unique and relatively easy to reproduce! (if u want to know the exact geometry lmk i will break it down for u)

OK, fun fact, I got the idea for the poly flag poll from this: my very own version of the gray-asexual flag! 

No disrespect to the person who made the original, (I am Gray-Ace by the way, if that wasn’t clear) but I just do not like it at all. So I made my own, complete with weird dragon unicorn!!

Did a lot of versions, and all of them are completely copyright free!!! Use them however you like in any way you want forever!! if you do use them, I would appreciate a tag! It’s not necessary I just want to see, if you guys think this is cool at all. Happy pride month!!

today i want to share with you two concepts i really like: light graysexual and dark graysexual.

the idea is that, because gray asexuality is such a big spectrum, there are people who are closer to the allo side: light graysexuals, and people who are closer to the ace side: dark graysexuals. light graysexuals experience significantly more or stronger sexual attraction than dark graysexuals.

obviously we shouldn't try to force everyone's experiences into a dichotomy, in fact that's exactly the opposite of what the gray ace label is meant to do. being gray ace is complicated, even more complicated than a position on a sliding scale, and no one is under any obligation to id as either light or dark gray ace. but idk, i find the idea neat! i think there's value in descriptive terms like these, and there's a certain elegance to these two in particular.

where do you think you fall on that spectrum? i think over the course of my life i've been at different points, but currently i'd probably put myself on the light side.
