Latest DIY pants--patchwork and visible mending
Cute fabric scraps + Walmart jeans on clearance = fun pants you can customize to your liking
This is now my second pair of patchwork jeans, and they're Halloween-themed, just like the last pair. What can I say? I know what I like. Yes, the embroidery on the right pocket got a bit wonky because I didn't center it as well, so that poor bat is struggling, but I don't feel like fixing it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I had never done visible mending before, but I wanted to try it out. I chose more vintage-y feeling patterns for it. I intentionally chose bee fabric for one knee so I could have the bee's knees 😜
The visible mending pants are more colorful than I typically go for, and I did struggle to style them, but I think they're still neat.

Painting my clothes pt. 2!
I'm SO glad I did this im so proud of it
Though the fabric is so thin that when I peeled it off the cardboard after painting it some of it got stuck to the shirt lol but I'm sure it'll wash out
I'm gonna do this to a few more things in my wardrobe as well just cause it's so fun. This design would look great on a light green t-shirt I have
[Image ID: a flowy thin shirt with thick black and orange horizontal stripes. The sleeves are short and solid black. I painted a ribcage, a spine and collarbones on the front of the shirt in white fabric paint and there are a few white splatters and dots in some of the blank spaces. The shirt is on a white hanger laying on my bed. End ID]

My custom Draculaura doll
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥
I forgot to post her here! I finished her 3 months ago, and making her took 2 months!
The dress is not perfect by any means! But this project took me out of a pretty bad depressive episode, so for me, it's absolutely perfect!
Here's more about the process and elements of her look! ˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥
Her dress is made out of 4 major parts:
The dress itself!
Lolita style white dress with long black sleeves in more of a witchy/goth style. A lot of ruffles and pearl chains!
The belt/skirt thing!
It's a separate part to allow easier dress up! It hooks up in the front, pleated skirt look and two chains on etch side! One black one white, all made out of glass beads!
The clip-on cape!
The cape isn't visible very well on these photos but there's only a drawing of a spider web in on the back, so you're not missing much lmfao! It has two chains hanging from the shoulders, made out of black glass, pink clear and silver beads! (I've used a lot of beads on this project didn't I...) And it uses tailor's snaps, hidden behind the silver heart, to clip on and off!
Petticoat!
A simple layered petticoat used to give she bottom of the dress some needed shape! It made out of, and stay with me on this, the material of dried out wet wipes... OKAY LISTEN. It's the perfect thickness for making petticoats! And by layering them you can create a perfect "sculpting material"! It's so easy to shape and control to achieve the perfect petticoat look!
Shoes!
Now, I know shoes aren't a part of the dress, but they also aren't accessories... so I'll put them here! I can't really explain the process of making them too well... I followed the shoes making steps I saw on the enchanterium YouTube channel! They are truly wizards in making shoes and dolls in general! So definitely check them out! (And they're my fellow polish girlis so dabble check them out!!!)
Accessories:
The bad!
The legendary bag... why legendary? Everyone who saw this doll irl immediately said "oh my god!! I need this bag in human size!!!" And honestly, I agree, it's cool as all hell! It's a simple messenger bag, the flap is layered, black material on the bottom and a weird material I found that kinda looks like a spider web! (I would really love to tell you where I got it from but I have no idea... I collect random trash that could be used in DIY and most likely, that's how I got it! Sorry... but I'm sure you can just Google "material that looks like spider web" and you'll probably find something similar!) It also has 4 belt like things hanging from the bottom of the flap! The two longer ones also have holes on the bottom with two silver rings! No real function, just there to look cool!
Garter!
It looks complicated but it was very easy to make! It's made out of a small piece of ribbon, it has, you guessed it, a chain made out of glass beads!!! And has a small a rose made of a mesh fabric!
The jewelry!
A silver ring, two silver bracelets, and safety pin earrings! A nod to her iconic earrings from gen1!
Wallet!
A piece of cardboard I wrapped up in black fabric and sticked a mesh rose on top! Sadly I got a bit lazy and it's not functional...
Blooding!
I know Draculaura is a vegetarian! Well every other Draculaura is. So she has a blood pudding for lunch! I used some random small cup, and the blooding itself is made out of... glass... beads... AND glue!
The process!
It was really easy! I don't really follow any patterns and I just measured everything by eye... yea, not very professional. So I can't give you a pattern now, but if anyone wants it, let me now! Even if it's only one person! I will get to work and draw the pattern to the best of my ability! ˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥
Thanks so much for reading! ♡

So I came across this image on pinterest and was like... I want that!
Then I saw the €135 price tag and was like... nah, I don't want that.
I want something like that. But less expensive, and also less multicoloured. The company calls it a cape, so I started project The Cape.
I went to the fabric store, saw a huge amount of fun stuff but nothing with the stubtle star pattern I had imagined for The Cape, so I just got 200x135cm of the plainest black linen.
Made some arm holes and hung it up because I have no time to work on it today.
Tomorrow I'll search through my stash for suitable fabric to line the armholes. And I might commit to the herculean task of hemming the unfinished edges

DIY Basics
-Goth DIY Tutorials Number 1 (Part 1)- Hi there, I decided to start a little DIY series! I’m not the most professional at anything lol but I’ve been doing DIY and crafts my entire life and been part of the goth subculture for 10+ years. I’ve seen a lot of baby bats and people inexperienced in crafts online saying they don’t know how to DIY thrift store clothing to be goth so I’m here to help! I believe DIY is super important to the goth subculture and should be easy and accessible, and if I can stop anyone from buying big fast fashion brands I’ve done my job.
For the first post of this series I thought I’d link some sources for people new to DIY or looking for some easy projects to do yourself (projects will be in part 2)🖤This will help you find a starting point if the idea of DIY is overwhelming.
None of these links are mine! I will be posting my own tutorials as part of this series though:)
Some of the most basic starting points for goth DIY are using fishnet tights as a top (just cut a hole in the crotch and cut off the feet), putting safety pins in everything, adding holes to clothes, and adding pins and patches. I like to make my own patches, either by free handing or stenciling, which I linked a tutorial for in this post.
Helpful tools to have:
(I don’t agree with buying from aliexpress but their other sources are great!)
Sewing Tips for Beginners:
T-Shirt Design Methods:
This is just s few ways to weave t-shirts, there are a ton of different ways to do it and YouTube has some great tutorials, especially on Angela Benedict's channel

I am back with more skeleton themed projects
This is my first vest and I wanted something unique, so I made this skull using textile paint and added a ribbon which I laced through some safety pins (inspired by corset piercings)
While I was painting there was also a little moth on my window so in honour of that I also added a tiny moth next to the skull. They're friends :)
#if you look closely you can tell that I only added spikes to one shoulder and then gave up#patches not made by me but I can tell you what etsy stores I got them from#I also found out after that apparently I could've just used regular acrylic paint on denim ???#it's fine tho bc I got this textile paint for a total of 2 euros#so it's okayyyy#diy#goth diy#gothic fashion#punk fashion#punk diy#battle vest#battle jacket#my art#diy clothing#diy inspo

Accessible and affordable goth dress
Oftentimes “alt” clothes from specifically goth or alternative stores are incredibly expensive and also rare to find. Here’s how to dress goth with general resources from everyday stores that shouldn’t cost ridiculous amounts. Goth is about the music but if you do choose to dress in the style here are some easy and cheap items that paired with really any black clothing can make a goth ensemble.
• fishnets for the arms, hands and legs. Wear fishnets under shirts, skirts, shorts, ripped jeans, and as gloves etc. you can get fishnets from party/dollar stores/costume stores.
• belts of any kind, they don’t have to be “gothy” belts whatever you can get your hands on can work. Browse around at local normal clothing stores and second hand stores. Some things you can try are:
- layering multiple belts
- Hanging necklaces, fake pearls, scarves or chains off the belts
- wearing belts over the shoulder and in areas beside the waist.
• knee high socks and stockings are an accessible staple that I find to come in handy often. You can customise these by cutting holes in them. Old socks can be made into gloves.
• cutting holes into plain clothing/adding clothespins.
• leggings/stockings can have holes cut or other patterns to make really cool accessories. I like to wear fishnets underneath stockings with holes cut in them.
• fake plastic pearls from the dollar store (I wear them as necklaces, hair accessories, bracelets, around the waist as a belt)
• cheap Halloween costume supplies can often have black gloves, fake pearl necklaces and other such things that can be utilised. You can also get face paint from here for relatively cheap.
• pick up jewlerry chains, hooks and blank earrings so you can make your own jewlerry out of recycled things and other bits you find around
• to do goth makeup without scouring the internet and spending a fortune you can go to just about any local store, get black eye makeup (eyeliner, eyeshadow) and red lipstick.
• eyelash glue is what I use to glue stuff to my face for makeup looks. Items such as flowers, rhinestones, leaves I’ll attach to my face to further elevate my makeup.
• rhinestones and similar craft supplies can be utilised.
• black nail polish.
• if you have jewlerry layer it up (lots of earrings, necklaces at once). Those sort of “old lady” necklaces you can get from second hand stores and beaded necklaces you can make at home are great accessories.
• I wrap string around my arms as an extra layer of accessory.
•old clothes that are damaged or broken can be cut up and used as new materials
• a comb and the strongest hairspray you can get your hands on. spray it on and back comb, no need for anything fancy. Even a hairbrush could do. You don’t need a “goth” hair styling tool necessarily.
• a white blouse (see Robert smith). You can further personalise the blouse by adding stains, holes, pins and tears.
• black shoes of some kind, they don’t need to be goth shoes, any black shoes you can get your hands on. I’ve used school shoes in goth outfits before
• lots of black skirts in different lengths can be layered instead of buying a full Victorian goth dress or skirt
• leg warmers (if you can find them)
• random fake leather peices from second hand stores can be really helpful when styling. Rather than buying about a million different things or a really expensive Victorian blouse get a fake leather jacket second hand. From there you can layer it with anything. (Same goes for leather skirts).
• cross jewlerry (easier to find then ankhs, bats, pentacles, etc). Second hand stores are great for this, anywhere that old ladies donate their old stuff will be your best friend.
• goth as an off shoot of punk is about diy and artistic expression, I do not think goth fashion should have parameters. Do as you like and steadily develop your own style.
• the spiked hair and white base is not an essential part of being goth. If you like the white face paint then wear it, if you don’t wear it that’s completely fine as well.
• POC are a major and vital part of the goth subculture. Dark skin tones and textured hair do not make someone less goth. Many trad goth style icons were people of colour. To claim that a person must be pale and have hair spiked into a bats nest to be gothic is not only wrong but racist.

DIY Specimen band-t
Front and back
On me
Side boob on show :3
Finally finished my DIY Specimen band-t that I technically started last May. I had got everything done except adding the grommets and lacing up the sides, which I now finally got done now!
Funnily enough the base t-shirt that I built off of was a christian seminar t-shirt I stole from my dad, it's a bit ironic that it was made into a goth band-tee LMAOO
