What are your plans, neighbors? Will you try to move from the neighborhood? Do you think you are the only healthy intelligent creatures left in the area?

I just watched this old trailer of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair and I found some neat oddities in it.
Tumblr media
This trailer was uploaded to YouTube on July 12th, 2012. Two weeks before the release date, July 26th 2012.
First off, the trailer shows the first class trial. What's notable is that the Ultimate Imposter is still alive and present at it.
Tumblr media
I google translated a few lines from the trial in the video and the ones I did were identical to what was said in the final game. So I believe that the first trial in this trailer is largely the same as in the final game, only difference is that they swapped Imposter's death portrait with his actual sprite so to not spoiler that he is the victim.
Next, several CGs from the final game are seen in this trailer but only for a few frames. I'll show off the most interesting ones.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This CG from Chapter 1. It shows Mikan eating sausages. In the final version of the game, this CG was edited so Mikan isn't eating anything.
Tumblr media
Funnily enough, this isn't the first time a CG of the party was edited to not have someone eat food. This CG with Hiyoko in it shows her with a drink but an older version of this same CG shows Hiyoko holding a plate of food.
Tumblr media
Remnants of this CG is still in the final game. Maybe they were included in by accident by someone on the dev team not paying close enough attention to which CGs they need to insert.
This old CG is seen in the credits.
Tumblr media
And in this truth bullet for the party food.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The reason why these edits are made is becuase in the trial, it's said that only Peko and Akane have eaten the food. If any other character is seen eating food in the CGs, that would make a plothole.
This does show that during the development of DR2, the CGs were competed first before the trials were fully completed, since the CGs had to be edited in order to fit one of the debate topics for the trial.
Next up, the trailer shows an old version of the Jabberwock Island Guidebook for a single frame.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then later on in the trailer, there are several frames showing off end game stuff. Stuff that would be massive spoilers if you had context for them.
Like the Ultimate Imposter's Student Profile.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Neo World Program and The Tragedy of Hope's Peak Manga.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And this CG of the survivors entering the Graduation Exam Site.
Tumblr media
This last one is special as this CG isn't even in the final game but the assets for this CG are still included in the files.
Tumblr media
I tried my best to recreate this CG using the files. It's not 100% accurate but it's very close.
And finally, the trailer shows a few frames of the Pre-Class Trial Portraits. There's no cropping applied to the character portraits so they overlap one another.
I will compare the trailer screenshots with images of the trial portraits from this 4gamer article.

And that's it. Pretty cool stuff.

Wow it's been a while! Hey how have y'all been doing? I've been fine and just wanted to thank everyone that enjoyed my disney art and this blog of mine so far! I've barely been posting since these fellow characters aren't the main thing crowding my mind at the moment. I won't be as active but I still see myself posting here from time to time!
Just wanted to say all that so this doesn't look like some abandoned blog, it's not a goodbye, it's just a see ya later ✨
In the meantime, have a fishing goofy!

I HATE YOUR WRITING TIPS, ONE MORE POST AND SCREW IT, IM BLOCKING *AND* REPORTING YOUR PAGE. IM FED UP WITH THESE INEFFECTUAL WRITING TIPS. HOW DO YOU THINK EDGAR ALLEN POE, AND EVEN SHAKESPEARE WROTE? THEY DIDNT HAVE TUMBLR AND NO 'cute little writing tips for your help!' I DEEM EVERY MODERN DAY WRITER A CHEAT AND I HOPE WHATEVER YOU'RE WRITING FAILS. YOU IMBECILE OF A WRITER.
Hi, thanks for asking! Writers like Edgar Allen Poe and Shakespeare used many techniques in their writing which might help you out. Here are a few tips:
Use metaphors: Employing figurative language can help paint vivid images in the readers' minds and facilitate the comprehension of more complex themes and ideas. For example, in Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare compares love to a rose—while it is lovely to the eye, its thorns can cut deep.
Choice of impression: Know what you want the desired effect of your writing to be in advance. Having decided the impression you want to leave on your readers before you start can help when figuring out the tone and conflicts throughout the story. Poe, for instance, focused mostly on the gothic genre with themes of death that inspired feelings of terror, despair, and suspense.
Know your audience: Who are you targeting? Determining factors such as the age range your work is for and what message you want to leave them with is crucial so that readers find your writing relatable and engaging.
Choose the setting wisely: In Poe's own words, "a close circumscription of space is absolutely necessary to the effect of insulated incident." Though the setting—of the entire book and for each scene—is often viewed as trivial, or at least of secondary importance, it is important to know why you're putting the characters where you are.
Use soliloquies: A soliloquy is a dramatic monologue in which a character speaks their thoughts aloud, typically while alone on stage, revealing their inner feelings to the audience. This can often be seen in Shakespeare's works, such as in Hamlet, where the title character begins with "To be, or not to be: that is the question," contemplating life and death.
Thank you for voicing your concerns! I wholeheartedly agree that I am not a real writer, merely an illusion. This is the last you'll see of me, I'm afraid. Feel free to ask any more questions, and thanks for 1800 followers—almost to two thousand! Love you all ❤

“Highly doubtful, but let’s see you try.”
“Alright, here we go! Once upon a midnight gloomy, there was a little town with cobbled streets and creaky houses. Now, these folks? They liked to leave their doors open, their windows cracked, and their lights out—y’know, the perfect setup for an uninvited guest.”
“Seems irresponsible to me.”
“What did the guest look like, Barnaby?…”
“Glad you asked, Walls! This guest didn’t have a shape, or a face, or even a body you could see. But oh, you could feel it. Just like that tickle in the back of your throat when you know you’re about to sneeze but it just won’t happen.”
“A ticklish ghost? Terrifying.”
“Patience, Frank! So one night, a lady in her cottage hears this raspy, scritch-scratchin’ sound from her window. She gets up, opens it wide—without thinkin’, naturally—and sees nothin’ but fog. But when she turns around, she finds… a trail of little wet footprints, each one inching closer to her bed.”
“Maybe it was a cat…”
“That’s what she thought! She followed those footprints, muttering about how her old tabby must be trackin’ mud everywhere, but then… the prints stopped right in the middle of her room. The air grew heavy, like someone was watchin’, and when she turned around… BAM! There it was: her own reflection in the mirror, smilin’ at her in the dark!”
“Barnaby, you’re not even trying! It’s just her reflection.”
“Ah, but here’s the thing, Frankie. She tried to look away… but couldn’t. Her reflection moved when she didn’t, smilin’ wider and wider till her face split open—”
“Nonsense! That’s not how reflections work.”
“It was then she heard a whisper… soft, and slithery. It said: ‘Look closer.’ And like somethin’ had taken over her, she leaned in, closer and closer, till her nose was nearly pressed to the glass. And right before her eyes… she saw it. A face in her reflection’s mouth—a face that wasn’t hers. The mirror was swallowin’ her up, draggin’ her right inside!”
”…That’s ridiculous.”
“Then what happened, Barnaby?…”
“They say she was never seen again… but sometimes, folks in that town would walk by that same house, and on certain nights, they’d see her face in the window, smilin’ back. And the scratchin’… well, it never stopped. They just don’t know if it’s her scratchin’ to get out… or if something else is in there, scratchin’ to come out.”
Barnaby’s smile fades, his voice lowering to a whisper.
“Sometimes, if you’re very quiet and listen real close… you might hear it, too.”
For a moment, the room goes silent. Even Frank finds himself glancing in the distance, his protests dying on his lips.
“I liked that story, Barnaby. It was… cozy.”
“Cozy? Yikes, Walls, remind me never to tell you a bedtime story!”

I'm so sorry for my inactivity. A lot has been happening in my life, but also, I grew incredibly frustrated at the fact that for some reason, I just wasn't able to bypass copyright the way I used to no matter what methods I used, and felt extra pressured due to the way the requests were piling up with little for me to do about them, so I ran away for a bit. Please make sure that you're boycotting Ansta during these trying times and informing yourself on the dilemma surrounding Ibuki, AKATSUKI, their egregious (despite there being a precedent, this is the biggest and boldest decision of this kind they've made) act of racism and the betrayal towards fans of a unit that has been there for all 10 years. Don't stream their music from the source. Unfollow their twitter accounts if you're on there — they dropped from 1.5 million to 1.4, and penny-pinching companies like Happy Elements tend to care about numbers. Thank you, and please take care of yourselves.
