I’m going to update discriminating taste. Even in the long ass time it’s been since I last updated (and I know it’s been a long time, trust me), I’ve been very clear on several occasions that the fic is not abandoned and I’ve just been dealing with a lot of stuff, but I will come back to it.

So please, please, don’t go through all my fics for other fandoms and comment on them asking me to update discriminating taste. Don’t go through all my tik tok videos that aren’t bkdk and ask me to update. I’m allowed to enjoy other fandoms, even when I have a fic to update. Please don’t make those spaces somewhere I feel guilty for being.

I appreciate so, so much the love this fic has gotten and the patience you guys have been so kind to extend towards me. I recognize it for the gift it is, I really do. But please, don’t bring this fic into my other fandom spaces.

I can see Karen taking after Mysterion in a lot of ways, despite him being the one who forbid her from trying to be a hero in the first place. Trying to be mysterious and such but due to her inexperience just ends up looking silly. Also due to lack of powers and experience Karen isn't much of a fighter, often opting to help people with stuff in contrast to Mysterion fighting evil and such. Though she does have her moments when stopping Disarray (who wouldn't really do anything to hurt Karen because 1. She's a nice girl, that would just be mean. And 2. God help him if he pisses off Mysterion)

Haven't thought too much about what her Persona's name would be or a general theme to it (mainly because my brain isn't cooperating with me and coming up with ideas). But design wise I can see her wearing a hood of sorts to conceal her identity and because it makes her look like another person she looks up too, her older brother!!

Spring quarter starts for me this Monday BUT I think I'll actually be able to write during the quarter for once! I finally applied for disability accomodations (I had accommodations at my last school but thought I could maybe get by now without them - I could not) and one of the accommodations I was granted was the ability to take a reduced credit load and still receive financial aid! So I'm only taking two classes this quarter, which should give me more free time and also lower stress levels. Also, one of my classes is a creative writing class (specifically focused on prose) so I'm already going to be in the writing groove, probably. I'm hoping to get chapter 11 out before Monday -- I'm out of town visiting grandparents right now and was planning to write during my trip but have found it difficult to write here... still, I get home tomorrow and I'm sure I can finish the chapter over the weekend -- but the last two or so chapters after that may take a bit longer.

As soon as I finish JTSYS I have to decide if I'm gonna write my guardian angel au whump fic immediately or wait on it a bit and instead write my prince/knight au fic (which will be only a oneshot or maybe two chapters at most). Either way, my next fic will also be Soriku unless something drastic happens (like I start thinking about Final Fantasy 7 or Goro Majima too much again).

#updates #pluffie talks #either way though.... those next two soriku fics are gonna be mature/explicit...#which is 10000000% new territory for me but i want to try something outside of my comfort #*zone #my whump fic is more likely to happen despite the knight/prince au already being half written because i have IDEAS #and i think i need to rewrite like. basically all of that knight/prince au anyway. idk. ill revisit it.#but my entire flight down to arizona was spent furiously typing a google doc on my phone with ideas for the guardian angel au fic so.#that one might be next. right now im really into media where characters i care about suffer lol.#im just not sure if i have the skills necessarily to pull off exactly what im trying to do with that fic. idk. we shall see.
