aight so for context a few months ago while deep in the trenches of my greek mythology obsession i made a minor underworld diety oc who goes by kore or jazzy. shes my favourite muffin and i love her.

and after reading one too many apollo fics here lmao i really wanted to explore his domains (which i find endlessly fascinating bc its all my favourite things in one: medicine art literature) and learn more about him as a god via a character study of sorts.

(ive yet to write anything for them lol but when i do it will be great :P)

jazzy is a biomed graduate and is currently pursuing a masters in forensic toxicology (sucks that i hade organic chem this would be fun to write) so she teaches bio. probably part time idk.

Hi, it’s Nikki.

I’m writing this to give you all, the ones who are still here even tho I’ve been basically hiatus for a while now, with some posts here and there. You probably all, also, saw this coming, but I’m sadly done writing.

God, im crying lmao.

Anyways, I realized after constantly trying to write something, outline, everything, I couldn’t write anymore. Maybe it’s because I went through a severe abusive relationship at the beginning of April 2022 to the end of November of 2022, and it completely changed me as a person. I lost a lot of love, likes, whatever you may call it, from that relationship. It changed me, and one of the things it changed in me was my love for writing. My spark isn’t here anymore, and I’ve been trying to hold on for the last possible year and a half for you guys, but it hasn’t happened. I’m afraid of change, I’m afraid of letting go, and have a bad time of accepting the fact that i mayve grown out of a phase, you know? My love for the boys will always be there, always.

What has also caused me lots of stress, and is a sign of losing my spark, has been trying to write and come up with ideas, and creat stories for those who have messaged me privately, and I feel terrible for not being able to do that, and I hate breaking promises/not keeping my word because I wanted to make you guys happy, and I’ve failed those individuals. I’m sorry for not finishing those requests, and I’m sorry that I never actually started them because I didn’t know what to do. I wanted to make you happy, but I couldn’t get anything out and so I sat for the longest time, trying to get a good paragraph, or in a general a sentence out, but i couldn’t and I didn’t.

And I’ve sadly relapsed the other night after almost 2 years of being clean from s/h. My depression has been in the dumps, and even tho I have so many positives going on in my life and such amazing people, and an amazing partner, my mental health is deteriorating and I need to focus on myself.

I know I’ve once done a short hiatus before and came back because sometimes a small break is good to have, but sometimes all things must come to an end, and I’m officially closing my chapter with tumblr and writing for good.

I’ve made a couple of friends on here, and those friends I want to address real quickly and say my peace.

Somethime, he is needlessly cruel with what he asks them to do, just so he can watch them squirm.

Despite all his formal-ness and his well mannered self, Nightmare write lyrics for a rock band, and theyre NOT always PG, he's made the boys goggle like school children over things before.

Killer changes the melody in practice all the time, because he 'feels like it', and it pisses everyone else off(mostly Dust) becuse they just have to go with it.

Horror chews his drunsticks when he's nervous, and goes through them WAY QUICKER than he should becasuse of it

Dusts left handed. He has, on many occasions, played a right-handed guitar, upside down - and when Cross notices he practically shit himself laughing.

Killer is WORRYINGLY bad at rhythm games! Dust, Cross and Horror are all great at them, Nightmares better than average.

Horror's drum set up is left handed - because his right side was very weak and somewhat paralysed for a good while, he learnt to play with the foot that COULD move!

So like, I just remembered: it kinda romanticizes these guys??? The musical??? so like don't get me wrong i love the music but... it puts them into this light. This pink light. It paints Hamilton as an abolitionist who was outspoken about it. and so with haste you race to the window seat in the library and when you see him there all anxious and shy your heart aches. “ you’ve made a mess of me too james” you say softly as you sit beside him and his face lights up. “can i make it better?” he asks huskily and you nod. his hands cup your face as he leans in and kisses you. he tastes like maple syrup, he smells like spices and he feels like home. it’s perfect and as he walks you back to your dorm with a promise of a date in hogsmede and a soft kiss to your forehead you feel giddy as you lay down under the covers that night because james potter loves you and you love him.

he writes you love letters weekly. you smile on mondays when his owl flies and drops a cream coloured envelope down on your desk written in james’s scrawling hand. in the letter he incloses what his favourite memories of you he has of the past week be that an outfit he thought was really pretty, a song he heard that made him think of you, or a leaf that he pressed from a forest walk that the two of you went on. he adores you so much it’s unbelievable.

taking a break from playing veilguard so i can eat something because i have been up since 5am staring at this screen lmao (it's 1:40pm now)

initial thoughts: i am really enjoying it so far, with only a few hiccups. i'm barely into the beginning of the game, tho.

the combat is really chaotic and i'm not that great at the block and parry timing so i keep nearly dying but just barely scraping through. i'm sure i will get better with practice! i'm playing on normal/adventurer difficulty, and as a spellblade mage.

having to hit tab to choose abilities, so it pauses the combat for the menu (like in mass effect), is both a good and bad thing. good because of the fast chaotic combat, it gives you time to breathe. bad because it's jarring and takes you out of the action. seems a hard thing to balance and i'm not sure they got it right. though it may just be because it's new in DA and unfamiliar to me right now. it has also been years since i played mass effect, so.

enemies seem to solely target rook, and not the companions at all, so there is NO breathing room outside of spamming to dash away.

neve's voice actor is... not great. lace and bellara are wonderful. not sure how i feel about rook's british fem voice. the accent seems to fluctuate between northern english, london rp, and some american inflection? it's strange.

writing seems good. i like everyone's characterisation so far. though i am an elven veil jumper and there was one point where my rook commented as if she didn't know about the elven gods, despite me in another scene earlier picking a dialogue option to claim the dalish gods as "my" gods and explain them to neve. so there's that.

also the usual dialogue wheel issue where you don't actually really know what you're going to say until you pick it because it only shows you a short summary.

the world is beautiful. the setpieces are beautiful.

the arlathan forest music sounds exactly like mass effect music, because of a specific 80's-style synth motif it uses (im no music expert so i hope those words mean what i think they mean). it's a little jarring in the fantasy game since it reminds me so hard of the futuristic scifi game.

I think he’s literally meant to be the main antagonist, just as Matt and Trey intend him to be.

Though the other main four (butters, Kyle, Stan, and Kenny)- I will always be their lawyer and apologist lmao. I can’t stand when people view a couple isolated episodes for any of those four to demonize them (they literally all have an equal screen time of shitty behavior so it pisses me tf off when some focus on one over the other as evidence of being ‘worse’. I genuinely think they’re all equal from a moral lens; just in different strengths and ways. Feel free to ask for more details cuz I’ve got lots of opinions on this lmao) Butters, Stan, Kyle, and Kenny all try their best and I’ll accept no lasting slander on any of them 🥹 (tho of course will always accept nuanced views of them cuz none of them are close to perfect (this is what makes them realistic 😭- and love writing them w their flaws and all :)
