I loved today's episode. I loved it, loved it, loved it!!!!!

Spoilers below the line, as always, and let's go to all the incredible points of this incredible episode in this incredible anime with incredible characters!

Spoilers below the cut!

1 - The episode begins where we left off, with Liko and Ametio trapped together in the cave. This opening scene is short but important. Terapagos is yelling at Amethio, and Liko tries to calm him down without success. Ametio takes a deep breath, steps forward and tells Terapagos that he wouldn't do anything, to trust him. I like how Amethio kind of prepares himself to say this sentence, as if he doesn't know how to handle the situation

2 - Terapagos apparently realizes that Amethio IS NOT Gibeon, despite probably looking a lot like a younger Gibeon. The small sparkling legendary turtle is clearly confused, but he simply turns his back and heads back to Liko. At that moment, Amethio sighs, he is relieved to have solved that problem

3 - The cutest scene of the entire episode: Ceruledge watching Floragato collect grass to help Liko stay warm, and he decides to use his blades to warm Amethio too! It's like, the cutest thing in the world. I love these two so much. I need more fics with these two. Ceruledge cares so much about Amethio, it's so beautiful

4 - Liko asks Ceruledge to burn the grass to make a fire, and Amethio agrees. The two sit together and do something that no one thought Pokémon writers would be able to do: THEY TALK!!!! Like, they ask each other questions, and they answer those questions, and they both end up understanding each other better in the end. Here are the notes, because it was my favorite moment of the episode by far:

5 - One thing I really liked is that Amethio is the one who starts the conversation. He asks why Liko was ready to give up when he terastalized Ceruledge, and Liko explains that she failed the terastal application test. Liko says she thought she would be more useful if she had passed. Amethio then asks if she's going to give up (HE ASKS IF SHE'S GOING TO GIVE UP OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS EPISODE SO MUCH). His words (in the Brazilian dub) are "Are you going to give up just because you tripped once and you think you won't be able to help?" Amethio clearly identified with what Liko said here: he lost to Friede, he lost to Rayquaza twice, he lost to Hamber, and in the last episode he lost to Spinel's Umbreom. He had to recover from all these losses if he wanted to continue to be useful to the Explorers. Faced with Amethio's words, Liko reflects and says that she doesn't want to give up.

6-It's Liko's turn to ask a question, and it's interesting when she says that she always wanted to ask him that: because he saved her in the battle against Rayquaza. Amethio says that he didn't save her, and Liko says "But I was saved. You saved me" (which, coupled with the fact that she thanked him, shows that she is grateful to Amethio for saving her, since she thought on the subject).

7 - Liko says that the Explorers are "bad" people who are after Terapagos and Rayquaza, but she feels that Amethio is different in some way. This is in the episode. I'm not making it up. It's 100% canon. I'm normal. I'm fine.

8 - Liko asks why Amethio needs Terapagos and Rayquaza, and Amethio explains that, to fulfill his grandfather's, Gibeon, dream of finding Rakua, he needs them both. (Note, Amethio explicitly says that he wants to make his grandfather's dream come true. This is the first time we hear him say that he wants something, in this case, to make someone else's dream come true).

9 - Mini note: the moment Ceruledge kneels next to Amethio when he says "I want to make my grandfather's dream come true" is so... Sweet. Interesting. As if Ceruledge is saying "I'm with you on this, you're not alone"

10 - Liko and Amethio continue to bond over the fact that they are both following their grandparents' legacy, and how their path is similar.

11-One of my favorite moments of the episode: Liko says that she was happy to have had that conversation, because before she only thought of him as an enemy. Amethio responds that he only thought of her as "the girl who has Terapagos". This tiny moment is actually huge. It is explicit in the text that Liko and Amethio's view of each other has changed. The two talked, opened up, and ended up understanding each other. Now THAT'S what I call a wholesome bonding scene

12 - My greatest wishes were fulfilled in this episode: Amethio gets up and says "Let's get out of here, Liko". LIKO. LIKO!!! HE CALLS HER BY HER NAME!!!!! I'M SO NORMAL ABOUT THIS.

13 - Amethio and Liko come up with a plan to enlarge a hole in the ceiling of the cave so they can get through safely. Ceruledge and Floragato climb onto Corviknight and use their attacks to open the hole wider. The two work very well together, and Amethio and Liko successfully exit the cave (also, considering the fact that the exit was on the roof of the cave, we can assume that Liko and Amethio rode Corviknight together, which is cute to imagine )

14 - I loved how Amethio reaches out to Liko and helps her get out of the crack they created. He is a gentleman indeed

15 - Amethio warns Liko to be careful with Spinel, because he would definitely try something like that again, which is nice of him. He hates the guy, that's a fact.

16 - Another super interesting conversation was when Liko asks Amethio why the Rising Volt Tacklers and the Explorers don't come together, since they both want the same thing, and Amethio says it's impossible. Amethio says that, even though the goals are the same, the paths are different, and that he will continue in his own way.

17 - The scene where all the admins, especially Spinel, stab Amethio in the back is heavy. Spinel and Agate did a great job of pretending they didn't know anything, and Coral and Sidian, too. To clarify, no, Amethio was not kicked out of the Explorers, at least it is not said in the episode. Gibeon says that he was disappointed in Amethio, that even Amethio was turning against him, and tells Amethio to leave, that he doesn't want to see his face. This one is HEAVY. First, we get some hints about what happened to Amethio's father (he probably betrayed the Explorers), and second, the fact that Gibeon doesn't even give Amethio the benefit of the doubt to explain what happened is horrifying. He's his grandson, you should believe what he says!

18 - The episode ends with Amethio literally shaking. He was betrayed by his colleagues, and neither his mentor nor his grandfather wanted to let him explain himself. Additionally, he has been compared to his father. This boy needs therapy.

Episode 10/10 for sure! I didn't mention the scenes with Roy, Dot, and Friede throughout the episode, because the Ameliko content was the highlight of the episode for me and is more relevant than anything else. I can't wait to see how Liko and Amethio's relationship will develop in the next arc, and what the writers will do with Amethio's character.

oh i love you Rose Quartz

I think rose is a really cool and interesting character. On one hand she abused her pearl, abandoned spinel in objectively the worst way possible, lied to her friends once about her identity and once about another one of their dear friends giving them no agency or closure over either situations, still exercised her authority over Pearl for at least 1 thing,

and

above it all

Never went back to correct any of those mistakes, running away from them forever and ever, only to have a son and leaving him to deal with the consequences (whether she couldve forseen that or not isnt very relevant)

But at the same time she was the only diamond to see the error of their ways, to end her colony, to fight back against the system. Liberating a whole planet and protecting its people. And while the crystal gems were still a full rebellion force she spread so much god to all those gems and making them see the error of their ways too, while also showing them love despite being rejected by their empire

The fact that all of that was built on lies and deception.. it doesnt undo it, but it does make it so complicated in such a cool and interesting way

She genuinely hated what the diamonds did, what she did as a diamond. She genuinely cared for the native residents of planet earth and keeping invader gems off of it and ending its colonization. Those are all good qualities, yk?

I found your SU fan-animation episode "The Smothering" with a Mom-Swap AU.

I have several questions.

Is Jasper a fusion? If not, what's Amethyst's role? Is she still an overbaked runt or is she more powerful? Is Garnet still a fusion? If so, is this AU's Homeworld's treatment of fusions different than in canon? If Pearl takes Peridot's role, are Pearls more than just servants in the AU? Or is she a servant pearl like other pearls? What's the deal with the diamonds in general? Jasper and Peridot still seem to have the yellow diamond on their chests, does Steven have Yellow's Gem on his chest instead? Or is it still just Pink? Has Peri never been poofed and is that why she still has her limb enhancers? Was Bismuth (and her whole deal) still a thing? If so, does this mean that Amethyst (Or Garnet?) was the one stuck in the mirror? Was it just Sapphire given her future sight?

These are just a few of the questions I have, I don't want to overwhelm you.

So the issue with what you're doing here is that you're trying to equate a one-to-one exchange between characters in the AU.

For example, there's no reason for Jasper to be a fusion.

So the basic idea was that Peri-Jasper-Lapis were Rose's friends in this version, or at least were the ones who ended up being alive (or unbubbled) and looking after Steven. The other component of this idea is that they'd be much worse at it. None of them being particularly good at getting along. I like to imagine they occasionally try and take each other out when away from home like when Peridot aimed her cannon at Jasper. They're a much more dysfunctional version of the normal gems.

So Pearl and Peridot didn't exchange roles in the story one-to-one. Potentially Rose didn't receive a new Pearl after cracking 'Volleyball' or felt too ashamed by this and bubbled her and claimed she didn't want a pearl. She did ditch Spinel forever on a secret island in space so it's not like that's unreasonable for her. If you want a cannon answer for this AU specifically, her new Pearl was delivered by her overprotective sisters and she never activated it. Partly due to shame and party out of loathing that they think she'd need an attendant. So Pearl (our Pearl) is in a box in Rose's room.

Instead, Rose found Peridot and broke stuff to have an excuse to talk to someone. She discovers Peridot has been hiding that she's a dud and cannot control metal but sees herself in the weaker gem. When she takes Peridot's hand instead of discarding her she wins her loyalty for life. Peri's Limb enhancers are things she created to feel more useful and prove she's not weak and useless. If you want another one-to-one exchange, imagine the reveal that she's got Limb enhancers replacing the reveal that Garent is a fusion. They're quite similar in regard to poofing a gem revealing their body isn't quite what you expected.

Lapis is just cheerful because in this AU she wasn't repeatedly imprisoned after many war crimes. I still use her theme of freedom, in that here she's enamoured with the idea that there's no hierarchy and revels in freedom. So she's the fun aunt type who would be fun for a weekend but god you wouldn't want to live with her. Rose met her shortly after she was imprisoned for a little accidental war crime she was ordered to do and set her free.

Jasper was just Jasper. But Rose revealed she was Pink Diamond and Jasper went to her side instead of trying to kill her unknowingly in a war for ages. Jasper already adored her and - after the idea is introduced that gems can choose who they want to be by Rose - Jasper attempts to mimic things Rose did because she liked Rose so much. Obviously, if you want to be a good gem mimic a diamond right? She attempts to mimic her compassion and respect without really getting it. Ironically she's the most like Homeworld, since she just obeyed her Diamond and is not trying to do what she thinks her Diamond wanted. Her journey would be actually understanding what Rose meant as opposed to just repeating it. (Fun gag: Since Rose loved Greg Jasper assumed Greg has immense value, and tries to sort of flirt with him because that's what Rose did. Greg figured out she's just mimicking Rose but it's still super uncomfortable and he's intimidated by her.) (If you want another one-to-one, Jasper gets the love confession from guy-who's-name-I-forgot and accepts. She shows off that she has a pet human like Rose and everyone is disgusted by this.)

So Peridot wants to show she's smart and competent, believing she's Rose's extension and needs to look after her son. She's conflicted about considering herself inherently weak and needs to learn to accept she doesn't need limb enhancers. She doesn't like Lapis because she's never doing any jobs and was born super powerful. She doesn't like Japser because she thinks she's an idiot thug and also was born Perfect, unlike Peridot.

Jasper tries to enforce a more military-like command structure but neither of the other gems respects her or cares so they just butt heads a lot. (heh) Lapis hates orders and Peridot doesn't think Jasper has smart ideas. Jasper ends up feeling like she's nothing more than a violent murder machine and her function is to do harm. They also get wicked pissed at her when she tries to mimic how Rose would act.

Lapis hangs out and has fun. She sometimes breaks rules just because she can and causes some issues. Being a powerful water lord she needs to learn some restraint and control as well as the ability to work with the others.

CHEATS - I left their design unaltered because I didn't want to use new designs. I should have used new designs, but I didn't. This is why there are yellow diamonds on the outfit. Assume they are incredibly uninterested in changing outfits. if I redid it they'd have unique outfits, or at least they'd have pink diamonds on their chests.

Bismuth, the Diamonds, and fusion are all the same.

I think Amethyst would have been discarded and practised transforming so hard she could pretend to be strong and large long enough that she'd get away with it. That and only faking muscle right up until she needed it.

She'd blow a lot of hot air and then try and end fights asap until Jasper knocks her around.

Sapphire would be great for the mirror, a mirror that sees the future would be incredibly handy. She'd be uncatchable also and fulfil the role of someone who contacts homeworld. When she came back with Amethyst and some rubies armed with destabilisers one fused with her to save her. This crisis of faith caused them to flee while the other rubies were bubbled.

See it's about having similar outcomes with the same overall plot. Instead of events being the same with new faces, you exchange the trials a character goes through with the other. Amethyst and jasper are facing the same issues but the one we're rooting for is swapped, etc.

For Pearl, she'd have an episode where Steven discovers her and the gang use her like a slave. Steven is uncomfortable with this and tries to make Pearl think of herself as her own person. She ends up working at the car wash and has a nice time. Steven wanted her to be her own person but she's coded to obey him, so he leaves her with Greg, who's not directly her owner but a still in charge, which she can handle better since having no one in charge around causes her to panic or shut down. Greg pays her but she turns around and uses her income to buy things for the Carwash.

right now, they’re kinda nameless. well, not exactly, with the use of japanese portmanteaus being popular. but, just to be a bit more ‘mainstream’ at least in pokémon, they deserve ‘_shipping’ names.

how about we give them some?

i did not make all of these ship names. i made some of them, but some were taken from my friends or may have gotten usage already. 

let’s start off with, from what i’ve seen, one of the most popular ships in horizons, ameliko. since i don’t ship this, i’m unfamiliar with the fandom, and have no idea if they already have a name. but i’ll still give them one: pendantmissionshipping. i don’t really like it, since it’s probably not gonna end up a huge part of their characters like it is now, but it works.

next, let’s do likoroy, or royliko as some people call it. let’s start off with the fact that it literally cannot be horizonshipping. it can’t. the name’s taken, it’s been taken since the old bulbagarden shipping list. so, there’s the alternative newhorizonshipping, and it’s probably the most similar that we can get since ‘horizonsshipping’ just sounds stupid.

alright, ann x liko. it was the most popular liko ship during hz001 and hz002, but recently it hasn’t been as popular compared to other ships. the recommended one is aiboushipping, ‘aibou’ means partner in japanese. sidekick, one and only. i think it fits quite well.

the last ‘main’ liko ship is dot x liko, which i don’t really have any idea for. i do like the name ideas of superfanshipping and guruminshipping, and i think those fit best out of the ones i’ve seen recommended. i’d love to find better names for them, since i do enjoy them as a pairing.

since there aren’t many ‘main’ roy ships besides likoroy, let’s move onto my favorite platonic soulmates, furiame. the recommended name for them is freedexplorershipping, which, oh my god, fits perfectly. it’s both obscure but not absolutely ridiculous, and it’s literally perfect for them.

one of the other friede ships, friede x murdock, is one i did make a name for, which i’m very much proud of. capncrunchshipping surprisingly isn’t a taken name, and it makes sense for both characters and their jobs on the ship. rn, this may jst be my horizons otp, half because of the name. airfryershipping is another name i enjoy.

orla x mollie is definetly the most popular yuri ship in horizons up to this point. they’re just.. oh my god. i suggest the name heartstruckshipping for them, since it again, makes sense for the characters’ jobs. and it’s just a gorgeous ship name, they deserve a gorgeous name.

there are other ships, like friede x mollie, or amethio x spinel, or one of the many rarepairs i’ve already made, but the last ship i’ll talk about is zir x conia. since the name ‘explorershipping’ is taken, explorersshipping could work, as i’ve seen recommended. it doesn’t sound as goofy as ‘horizonsshipping’, and it works for them.

but, i really wanna see what other people think could be their ship names!!

This imagine is... more spicy, than the usual stuff i write and imagine - im still lowkey suprised by it myself, since this might be the first ever sex-adjacent thing i've ever thought of, or well, written

so, yeah, that out of the way-!

Simply put; The hornier Spinel would get, the more she would Inflate

this, of course, can fall into a kind of loop of sorts;

Spinel, whilst in private, thinks about being inflated (or in general made big) by her Beloved eldritch god, and with how even the mere idea of it makes her feel, a faint hissing is heard as she begins inflating all on her own - which, of course, only amplifies the feeling she's experiancing; and in turn, amplifying the inflation further, the hiss rising in volume as she balloons out further - and thus, the cycle would form; repeated ad nauseam for as long as the feelings continue

Of course, since we are talking about Spinel here, it's clear that her limits are... Well, rather Impossible; with this idea in mind, she could practically keep growing, well, forever, all fueled with the idea of her Beloved inflating her into a blimp - But, for the sake of the idea, let's say that she did have a limit; still impossibly large, but a limit nonetheless - This cycle, horniness fueling inflation, all growing to a climax, in a way, akin to an orgasm (but without all the mess lmfao) - And as Spinel keeps growing more and more, quicker and quicker as the merest idea of her beloved inflating her like his personal, adorable little balloon keeps turning her into a bigger and bigger blimp, the closer she draws to that climax, the sounds of her body squeaking, groaning, and creaking growing in volume, growing more frequent, growing ever closer to the climax ever quicker as a result from her self-made feedback loop of thought and feeling, until...

Down, down, down she falls back unto her Mess of a Pile of Pillows, Dizzy out of her mind from all that pressure, and pink-faced from her adorable full blush - and perhaps, mayby, naked if her clothes ripped apart in the middle of that feedback loop of horny b'looning

...until, the mere idea of going through all that again makes her even the slightest bit horny again, which makes her puff up steaadily again, and the cycle begins all over again in earnest, much to her delight im sure lol

but, that's all by her lonesome! Try to imagine just how more potent the effect is if Maxim was to actually be there; gently teasing her, his hands gently tracing and stroking her body, or even softly whispering all the things he plans to do with her when she gets to the size he wants to see her achieve - the merest touch or stroke of his hands on her form would drive her positively mad, beyond quickly ballooning out and into him; bonus points for him now being pressed into the wall by her puffed up form lmao

...Admittedly, ever since i got that idea recently, it did kinda wind me up, wanting to see Spinel practically balloon out as physical proof of her enjoyment of all the affection and teases i offer her

iunno, i just love Spinel and want to see her balloon up just for me lmfao, either only her belly puffing up, or her entire form rounding out into an adorable blimp

SO, about today's Horizons episode, HZ014! Gonna put under the cut so no one who's behind on watching these episodes won't get accidentally spoiled on. Thou tag filtering is a thing, but anyway!

It was great! Truly enjoyable, there are some dialogue not easy to understand for me but most of the episode was easy to understand by simply following what the characters were doing on screen, which is brilliant story-telling in animation!

And I must say right now, I LOVE Kaiden! So much! It has so much personality already and it's such a nice take on a bird Pokémon who, ironically, cannot fly. Mostly seems to be related to being afraid of heights? And the way Roy was helping Kaiden out and trying to figure out ways to help it was just... HNNNGH my heart strings, it was really adorable and sweet. And the way Liko and Murdock got to witness it was such a nice way to tie in three different happenings in the episode. And it culminating into the two bonding so close that both feel sad about separation and instead Kaiden flies, kinda badly, towards Roy and when it ends up beginning to fall to the river, just as Murdock gave Roy the pokeball for capture (he knew right away ;__;), Roy catches it. It is such a good capture it might actually be among top fav catches in all these years ;V;

Also Murdock thanking Liko for being friends with Dot like asjfhsfjkhfkjhf he's so glad Dot's begun to socialize and it's kinda thanks to Liko aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh they're all so sweeet!!

We also kinda come to realise in this ep that, Friede doesn't really tell his crew everything even when he ABSOLUTELY should! He was lured into a trap by two Pokémon, clearly trained, and he told them nothing when asked by Orio where he went. It feels like it's simply because he doesn't want others to worry. But I also feel like this is what caused Liko to get off guard about a VERY obviously sus mail to her rotomphone about a spice that Murdock, conveniently, couldn't get before when the two went shopping. And was eavesdropped by Spinel's Beeheeyem? God I never remember that Pokémon's name, not in english, not in japanese lol.

But like yeh. Liko got lured into a trap partly due to how Friede didn't tell anyone to be careful despite obvious danger lurking around them, got hypnotised by Spinel's Beeheeyem-whatever, got snached of the pendant and, on top of it all: seemingly lost her memory alongside Nyahoja! THAT FU-

Anyway I am now looking for Spinel to talk to him about what he did to Liko totally not gonna punch him in the face-

Happy Tenth Birthday Steven Universe!

I remember seeing a quick teaser for this back when I was a kid and thought, "huh, that doesn't look very good." Flash forward to now and I'm writing a 200k+ word Steven Universe fic.

There will probably never be another show that means as much to me as Steven Universe does. I feel head-over-heels in love with its characters (their dynamic growth, their well-developed personalities, their voice acting, my God their voice acting), the art style, the story, the soundtrack, and the themes. I grew up immersing myself into this world, and it really did affect my outlook on life and how I interacted with others. It told me how important empathy and loving your enemies was, and these are still values I hold with me. It also proved to be an amazing creative outlet for me, and I would in no way be writing as a hobby now if it weren't for this show.

Then the movie came out and I fell down a rabbit hole.

I've never so loved (and so identified with) a character before. Everything about Spinel was done extremely well, and it all clicked for me: her voice acting and her singing (thank you Sarah Stiles!), her design and mannerisms, her back story, and especially her personality. She's just a blast to write, and I'm certain that I'll be writing plenty more about her for the foreseeable future.

Just watched Hazbin Hotel for the first time and having sooo many feels

Adore the characters they created. Also after my prior hyperfixations of Yuri!!! on Ice and Heartstopper, this show feels SHOCKINGLY mature lmfaoooo. Like did y'all just say CUNT 20 times??? ?? ???

Adore the cast, the drawing/designs, pretty much everything. The aesthetic at first reminded me of Spinel singing "Other Friends" from Steven Universe (I think bc Alastor is so radio coded)

I cried a lot with the redemption arcs, the ideas of good/bad, and I think because of some Christian trauma I had. I found myself ENRAGED by Adam and realized it's related to Xtian trauma and male supremacy in the religion I was raised in, even in the 12 step groups I'm a part of now/meetings I go to that are more male dominant. There's so many ppl would be like "of COURSE Adam is in heaven" even tho he was sadistic, cruel, calls women bitches, etc etc - and never be questioned for his behavior- while others are expected to go to hell and nobody questioned it. The entire idea of angels/those in heaven not knowing WHY they are there was very powerful

Man the character of Angel Dust made me cry a lot...like a lot

Avalanche Shipping Evidence Post

These two have been on my mind so much recently. I have to write this down somewhere or I swear I'm going to explode. In this this post I will go over ever instance I've seen throughout the series of these two being in love, because this ship is everything. Without further ado, here we go:

Ep. 24: Sidian tries to keep Coral out of potentially dangerous mission.

Ep. 25: Sidian scold Coral for putting herself in danger + She doesn't even seem mad at him this time. Nice foreshadowing of their dynamic with Sidian having Garganacl catch Glalie.

Ep. 27: Sidian continues to scold her for putting herself in danger

Ep. 27: Coral wants him to play with her + She always just following what he says during the meeting. That way she looked over at him was super cute

Ep. 43: Sidian is in ultimate protective boyfriend mode. He worries about her so asks her to go undercover. He worries again and goes to check on her when she takes too long. He worries yet again and drags her away before she can get in trouble with Spinel. Plus he joins in on the fun halfway through. Also he didn't deny it when she called herself cute.

Ep. 43: Coral literally invited him out to go with her to get cookies. She seemed pretty happy when he decided to join the battle. And that power couple pose when they got serious.

Ep. 44: Sidian once again looking out for her by trying to keep her out of trouble. Even gives a "the things I do for her" headshake.

I'll maybe come and update this list as more episodes come out but that's it for now. God these two are so tsundere.

hi it's zongzi anon again (favorite food zongzi submitter who also recently remembered Vanitas and Harry Hook etc.) and i would absolutely love a follow-up bracket if you ever felt inclined to do so

also if the character you thought of last minute happened to be Amethyst i just wanted to let you know that that's GENIUS and it made me remember pearl also. because ohhhh my god that one episode where they were fighting over who got to fuse with garnet was. very BPD on BPD violence.

and i ALSO remembered Candace Flynn from Phineas and Ferb as well so. yeah it turns out that Most of my blorbos are guys that i would headcanon as having BPD which is not at all something I realized until I started submitting them, so thanks again for hosting this!!

Also thank you. I totally meant to have her in anyway, because holy shit shes one of my faves and I can't believe I forgot when she's one of the characters I made the poll for. Amethyst, Pearl, and Lapis specifically are all ones I hcd the longest, with ruby and spinel making their own additions to the list by the end of the show and movie.

Amethyst reminds me a fuckton of how my symptoms presented in highschool and her arc made me feel one of the most seen in term of how I learned to navigate and work on those symptoms to make them more manageable.

And her relationship to Pearl reminds me in many ways of my relationship to my older sister. I also felt envious of how collected she was, until like amethyst, I realized how much of her "stuck up" nature was actually a defense against the traumas our parents left.

While I think of Amethyst and Pearl as less siblings and more roomates (sometimes to lovers) their general dynamic helped me rebuild my relationship by helping me work on my lashing out due to jealousy, so I'm always grateful to the show and these characters for that.

Anyway that's enough bpd lore about me haha, but tl:dr: Amethyst changed my life as a character who shared so many symptoms but with a satisfying arc, and I love her for it.

Another good thing about having a Steven Universe cast member join the Hazbin Hotel cast I guess, is that the overlap in casting officially proves that ~"Criticals~ calling Hazbin things like shitbin, trashbin, and Hazmat are officially as unhinged, if not terminally more so, then the ~"Criticals"~ calling Steven Universe "Shitvin". 💀

Oh... and specific to this casting news this also means that aside from making this one post about it, I will also be blocking getting overly excited about Sarah in the tags and cross posting for her previous work on a now long finished kids show just like I'm doing with all the posts in the tags about Jeremy Jordon because you all need to calm the absolute fuck down. 💀

Also, in the spirit of killing everyone's joy and being as unlikeable as Mimzy herself is in this fandom, this is my official announcement that I personally will not be fully accepting of having the word of god say that Alastor is ace or aroace until his sexuality is explicitly mentioned, shown,or explored within the canon text. Why? Because controversial or not I've always felt as though going from having Alastor being in love with the only fat character in the narrative back then to just loving no one at all as having this strange undercurrent of fatphobia to it to begin with even if it might've been someones well meaning attempt at fixing a problem and I love Mimzy, and since she's gonna be voiced by Sarah now and people are probably gonna make the inevitable angsty association between the song "Drift Away" and Almimzy as a pairing like I just the fucking did, the whole undertone of "I'm Ace because I didn't like fucking this fat chick" is just gonna become an even more glaring issue for as time goes on, even if it isn't there, unless we get a canonical explanation as to why Alastor is ace that doesn't have anything to do with their relationship. And even then, we still don't know how Mimzy will be treated by the narrative, let alone by Alastor, and there's still no guarantee that Al's aceness WILL be explicitly explored or if it's just gonna be another "Princess Marco Turdina" Situation, even if it's word of god this time round or not, and I can still respectfully disagree with some aspects of the way this is handled and interpret word of god in my own way. And some of you are like, militantly overprotective of a fictional serial killer to the point where you're past being obnoxious and it's become concerning and you're probably gonna throw a tantrum for being dissatisfied with what you get anyway and end up dropping the show, so...

Okay so I don't actually know if anyone else has done this already, but like, steven universe au for sun and moon! It makes so much sense to me, I mean.. SUNstone, MOONstone, and I actually found out that bumblebee jasper also goes by ECLIPSE stone, so yes. Ik that there are preexisting sunstone and moonstone characters in SU, but, sunstone is a fusion, and thus singular gems could look totally different, and the moonstone in the show was only shown in a corrupted form, so, booyah, I can make them look however I want >:)

Also, take the bumblebee jasper inspiration with a grain of salt lol, it's a fusion, not an actual jasper, so it looks different lol. I'm not completely sure about my color choices but hey, this one can just be their initial fuse, and I can improve the design later >:)

I tried to keep things generally compliant to the lore/rule of steven universe, but I also don't really watch it so like, if things are wrong, my bad.

Okay more about the actual character concepts/lore! Based primarily off of suns personality, I think that sunstones in general would be comedians, or in this case, court jesters. Witty, but not quite as springy or lighthearted as spinels. So think like, a little bit darker humor(not too dark ofc). They would also be somewhat like pearls in that they are frequently gifted as rewards to the aristocratic gems.(to be honest, I made both sun and moon sort of pearl coded, which I feel like makes sense, with how they are owned by Fazcorp, and don't really have a say in what they do-entertaining children and acting as security)

Sun was gifted to an aristocrat(semi making this up as I go, so not sure which type yet lmao), and made to perform tomfoolery and make quips during their parties. During one such party, sun make the wrong quip, and extremely offended one of the high-ranking guests(not a diamond, but definitely in the upper echelons, maybe a emerald?). I think that the diamonds would be too busy/not care all too much about court drama, and would let the gems deal with themselves, so long as nobody too precious was shattered. So, the offended aristocrat would send an "assassin" to off sun. And suprise suprise! That assassin is moon!

The show doesn't show much about regular moonstone, but the corrupted one had the ability to become invisible, except for their gem, so I feel as though they would make good assasins/thieves. Of course, it would be too dangerous to let them do as they please, so they are also put into service of higher ranking gems. (To reiterate-they are so totally pearl coded)

When moon comes to assassinate sun, sun panics and starts rambling, and ends up telling moon some shitty puns, which surprisingly make him crack up. I think he would have a secrete weakness to dad jokes and puns >:)

Instead of shattering sun, he temporarily poofs him, and takes suns gem with him.
