What Is It Like in a *Posh* Moroccan Hammam? 🫧
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When I say "posh," I mean upmarket hammams in a wealthy residential areas, not hammams in hotels. This post is about authentic hammams used by wealthy Moroccans, not ones aimed at tourists.
Decor
One of the first things you'll notice in upmarket hammams is that the decor is far more elaborate than in basic hammams. Decor will of course vary from place to place, but to use the example of the hammam next to my great-aunt's place in Casablanca I always make sure to go to:
The walls in both the main washroom and the sauna room are made out of blue and white marble in a traditional zellige pattern. There are also ornate sinks jutting out of the walls also of blue and white marble, whereas in basic hammams there will just be faucets. The sauna has long benches made of marble across the length of each side of the room, and the massage tables are slabs of heated light grey marble.
Regardless of the individual decor choices of each hammam, each building will always be spacious, with high ceilings and curved arches.
Ambience
Upmarket hammams feel luxurious, but understated, focusing on relaxation and subtle elegance rather than opulence and "wowing" people.
The lighting will normally be natural, but if artificial lighting is used it will be subtle and non-intrusive. Whereas in basic hammams it will be bright and practical, and in tourist hammams it will be dim with lighting coming from lanterns and candles (ambient, but not practical for visibility).
Although some may have private areas, authentic hammams in wealthy areas will generally follow the tradition of communal bathing.
As they are located in residential areas rather than tourist hotspots, and as they are a lot larger than basic hammams, they don't feel overcrowded and the experience is more intimate.
Services Offered
Upmarket hammams offer more services than basic hammams, but unlike tourist hammams, all the services are based in authentic Moroccan traditions, whereas in hotels the hammams offer a blend of the basic Moroccan services (sauna, sabon beldi, etc) and services similar to what you'd find in Western spas.
Authentic services you will find in upmarket Moroccan hammams include:
The usual sauna, cleansing with sabon beldi, deep exfoliation and ghassoul clay masks you'll find in every hammam in the country
Massages with argan oil, ghassoul clay, jasmine oil, amber oil, olive oil, honey, or herbal compresses
Herbal steam baths with tabrima, eucalyptus, lavender or mint
Rosewater and orange blossom water rinses
Henna treatments (it's not just used for temporary tattoos but has benefits for the skin and hair)
Facials with products like argan oil, sweet almond oil, honey, and saffron
Foot baths with herbs, oils, and/or milk
(Services will depend on each individual hammam)
The treatments are all high quality by staff who really work for their money. The attendants will scrub off absolutely every bit of dead skin on your body, and I have honestly never been as thoroughly massaged as I have been in these hammams.
Relaxation Lounge
In basic hammams, you just put your clothes on and leave after adjusting to room temperature, but in upmarket ones, you relax in the hammam after towelling off.
After you're dressed, the staff will lead you to another room. To use the hammam local to my great aunt as an example again, the relaxation lounge in this one:
Is full of white chaise longues, one facing another so that you can chat with your companion. They each have a low table in between them, on which a staff member will put down a silver tray, which will have a lit candle which will also have ghassoul clay integrated into it. There will also be glycerin preserved rose petals scattered on the tray, and of course refreshments - a bottle of cold water (much needed after all the heat and steam) and refreshing peppermint tea in a floral cup and matching saucer.
In other upmarket hammams they might have leather couches or armchairs instead of chaise loungues, regular candles without the clay, and Moroccan mint tea instead of peppermint herbal tea, but they'll all follow the same format.
Would I Recommend Trying One of These Hammams?
If you want a luxurious but 100% authentic hammam experience, absolutely! Although hotel hammams are surely fun with their swimming pools, etc, if you want to really experience true Moroccan culture and feel classy while you do it, I'd recommend finding one in a middle or upper class residential area.
They're also inexpensive if you're on Western wages - the one I described in the post is €4 for entry and €15 for a massage, and pretty much all similar hammams will be in that general wheelhouse. Whereas I have no doubt that the ones in hotels are way more expensive - the tourist price vs the local price.
Tips For Going to Authentic Hammams
Whereas in hotels the staff will speak multiple languages, in ones the locals use usually they'll know just Darija and French, maybe basic English but there's no guarantee. If you know French it will be fine, but if not get a Moroccan friend to accompany you.
Shave before going. The attendants will only exfoliate you if your skin is hairless, as the kessa glove can more effectively remove dead skin and impurities without hair in the way, and with smooth skin there's no chance of the rough gloves tugging on your hair and causing your skin to become irritated. The subsequent skincare products applied to your body will also be easier to apply evenly and will be better absorbed. If you haven't shaved beforehand they'll just give you a razor.
You can buy toiletries like soaps and towels, but it's also acceptable to bring your own.
Don't be afraid to get naked. Moroccan women strip down to their panties. Nobody will look at you, everyone is concentrating on bathing (wearing your bra or swimsuit is honestly more likely to bring attention to you than going topless as that's how people will know you're a tourist). You'll see many different body types and all ages in the hammam, so don't worry about being judged if you have stretch marks, extra weight, etc
Men and women bathe in separate areas or buildings, so don't worry about the opposite sex seeing you. You might occasionally see a mother taking her young son with her (as in, toddler age), but never older boys and men.
You can talk and laugh, but don't shout or giggle loudly or anything. It's meant to be a relaxing experience for everyone, and as the rooms are so spacious, loud noises will carry across them.
The massages are really thorough, so be prepared. I've been massaged everywhere from the insides of my ears to my privates in these hammams. If you have anywhere you'd rather they don't touch, communicate it with the massage therapist before getting your massage done, as the norm is to massage literally everywhere.

Create your own vitamin c serum at home
Vitamin C serum provides antioxidant protection, stimulates collagen production, brightens the skin, defends against sun damage, promotes hydration, reduces inflammation, supports wound healing, has anti-aging effects, protects against environmental damage, and improves overall skin texture.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ingredients:
Orange peel powder - 1 tablespoon
Vitamin C powder (ascorbic acid) - 1 to 1.5 teaspoons
Rose water - 2 tablespoon
Glycerin - 1 tablespoon
aloe vera gel - 1 tablespoon
Vitamin E oil - a few drops (optional but adds antioxidant benefits)
Rosehip oil - 1 teaspoon (optional but beneficial for skin)
Dark glass dropper bottle
Instructions:
Prepare Orange Peel Powder:Dry orange peels and grind them into a fine powder using a blender or grinder.
Mix Dry Ingredients:In a clean bowl, combine the orange peel powder and vitamin C powder.
Add Wet Ingredients:Add the rose water, glycerine, aloe vera gel, vitamin E capsule and optional rosehip oil to the dry ingredient mixture.
Stir Well:Mix all the ingredients thoroughly to ensure an even distribution.
Transfer to Dropper Bottle:Use a funnel to transfer the serum into a dark glass dropper bottle. Dark glass helps protect the serum from light, maintaining its potency.
Storage:Store the serum in the refrigerator to slow down oxidation and preserve its effectiveness. Vitamin C serums can degrade over time, so making smaller batches is advisable.
Application:Apply a few drops of the vitamin C serum to your face and neck after cleansing. Use it in your morning skincare routine, followed by sunscreen.

Step-by-Step Guide to a Complete Daily Skincare Routine for Glowing Skin
Achieving glowing, radiant skin is not just about using the right products but also about following a consistent daily skincare routine. Whether you’re new to skincare or looking to refine your routine, this guide will help you establish the perfect steps to get that luminous, healthy-looking skin you’ve always wanted.
Step 1: Cleanse Your Face (Morning and Night)
Cleansing is the foundation of any skincare routine. It removes dirt, excess oil, makeup, and impurities that accumulate on your skin throughout the day.
Morning: Use a gentle cleanser suited to your skin type. If you have oily skin, opt for a foaming or gel cleanser. Dry skin types may benefit from a hydrating cream cleanser.
Night: Double cleansing is recommended in the evening. Start with an oil-based cleanser to dissolve makeup and sunscreen, then follow up with your regular cleanser to ensure your skin is thoroughly clean.
Pro tip: Use lukewarm water to wash your face, as hot water can strip your skin of its natural oils, causing dryness and irritation.
Step 2: Apply a Toner
Toners help balance the skin’s pH level and remove any remaining traces of dirt or makeup. They also prep the skin for the next steps of your routine.
Choose the right toner: If you have oily or acne-prone skin, look for toners with salicylic acid or witch hazel. For dry or sensitive skin, opt for a hydrating toner with ingredients like rose water or glycerin.
How to apply: Use a cotton pad or your hands to gently pat the toner onto your skin.
Pro tip: Avoid toners with alcohol, as they can dry out your skin and cause irritation.
Step 3: Use a Serum
Serums are packed with active ingredients designed to target specific skin concerns. This is where you can tailor your skincare routine based on what your skin needs.
For glowing skin: Vitamin C serums are excellent for brightening and evening out skin tone. It’s also a powerful antioxidant that protects the skin from environmental damage.
For hydration: If your skin feels dry or dull, a serum with hyaluronic acid can deeply hydrate and plump your skin.
Pro tip: Apply your serum while your skin is still slightly damp from toner to help lock in hydration.
Step 4: Apply Eye Cream
The skin around the eyes is delicate and prone to dryness, fine lines, and puffiness. Incorporating an eye cream into your routine helps to address these issues.
For dark circles and puffiness: Look for eye creams with caffeine or peptides.
For fine lines and hydration: Hyaluronic acid or retinol-based eye creams are great for minimizing fine lines and keeping the under-eye area hydrated.
Pro tip: Use your ring finger to gently pat the eye cream around your eyes, as it exerts the least pressure.
Step 5: Moisturize
Moisturizing is crucial for keeping your skin hydrated and creating a protective barrier. A good moisturizer will seal in all the products you’ve applied in the previous steps.
For oily skin: Choose a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer, such as a gel or water-based product.
For dry skin: A richer, cream-based moisturizer will provide the necessary hydration.
Pro tip: Don’t skip moisturizing, even if you have oily skin. Proper hydration helps to regulate your skin’s oil production and prevent breakouts.
Step 6: Sunscreen (Morning Only)
Sunscreen is the most important step in your morning routine. Daily sun protection prevents premature aging, hyperpigmentation, and skin cancer.
Broad-spectrum SPF: Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 to protect against both UVA and UVB rays.
How to apply: Use about a nickel-sized amount and apply it evenly across your face and neck. Reapply every two hours if you’re outdoors.
Pro tip: If you’re using makeup, look for a moisturizer or foundation with built-in SPF for added protection.
Step 7: Exfoliate (1-2 Times a Week)
Exfoliation is essential for removing dead skin cells that can make your skin look dull and clog your pores. However, over-exfoliating can irritate your skin, so limit this step to once or twice a week.
For physical exfoliation: Use a gentle scrub with fine particles to buff away dead skin cells.
For chemical exfoliation: A chemical exfoliant containing AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) or BHA (beta hydroxy acid) can effectively slough off dead skin without being abrasive.
Pro tip: Always follow exfoliation with a good moisturizer, as exfoliation can leave your skin feeling dry or tight.
Step 8: Face Mask (1-2 Times a Week)
A face mask is a great addition to your skincare routine, especially when your skin needs an extra boost. Face masks can target various skin concerns, from hydration to deep cleansing.
For glowing skin: Look for masks with ingredients like Vitamin C, turmeric, or honey that brighten the complexion.
For hydration: A mask with hyaluronic acid or aloe vera can soothe and replenish dry skin.
Pro tip: Apply your face mask after cleansing and before moisturizing to get the most benefit from the ingredients.
Additional Tips for Glowing Skin:
Stay hydrated: Drinking plenty of water is key to keeping your skin hydrated from the inside out. Aim for at least 8 glasses of water a day.
Eat a balanced diet: Incorporating foods rich in antioxidants, such as berries, leafy greens, and nuts, can help promote healthy, glowing skin.
Get enough sleep: Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep each night to allow your skin to repair and rejuvenate. Lack of sleep can lead to dull, tired-looking skin.
Don’t skip SPF: Sun damage is one of the leading causes of premature aging. Wearing sunscreen daily is crucial for maintaining youthful, glowing skin.
Consistency is key: Stick to your skincare routine every day, and be patient. It can take a few weeks to see noticeable improvements, but consistency will pay off.
Conclusion
A daily skincare routine doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective. By following these simple steps—cleanse, tone, treat, moisturize, and protect—you can achieve glowing, radiant skin that looks and feels healthy. Tailor your routine to your skin’s specific needs, and remember to be consistent for long-lasting results.

Best Keratin Hair Shampoo: Restore Strength and Shine to Your Locks
When it comes to achieving healthy, shiny, and resilient hair, the right shampoo can make all the difference. Among the myriad of hair care products available, the best keratin hair shampoo stands out as a top choice for restoring strength and enhancing shine. In this comprehensive guide, we’ll explore why keratin is essential for hair health, how keratin shampoos work, and highlight some of the best options to help you achieve your hair goals.
The Role of Keratin in Hair Health
Keratin is a tough, fibrous protein that constitutes the core structure of hair, skin, and nails. It imparts strength, flexibility, and protective qualities to these tissues. In hair, keratin is essential for its durability and overall integrity. However, exposure to environmental stressors, heat styling, and chemical treatments can compromise the keratin structure, resulting in weakened and lackluster hair.
Keratin shampoos are formulated to replenish and restore the hair’s keratin levels. By doing so, they help repair damage, enhance shine, and improve overall hair health.
How Keratin Shampoos Work
Keratin shampoos work through a combination of key ingredients and targeted technologies designed to benefit your hair. Here’s a simpler way to explain it: Let’s see how they work:
1. Replenishing Protein Levels
The primary function of keratin shampoos is to replenish the keratin protein in the hair. These shampoos typically contain hydrolyzed keratin, a form of keratin broken down into smaller, more absorbable molecules. When applied, hydrolyzed keratin penetrates the hair shaft, repairing and reinforcing damaged areas. This process helps restore strength, reduce breakage, and improve elasticity.
2. Enhancing Moisture and Smoothness
Many keratin shampoos include additional moisturizing ingredients like glycerin, panthenol (Vitamin B5), and natural oils (such as argan oil or coconut oil). These ingredients work together to lock in moisture, preventing dryness and frizz. By maintaining optimal hydration, keratin shampoos ensure that your hair remains soft, smooth, and manageable.
3. Protecting Against Environmental Damage
Keratin shampoos often contain protective agents that shield the hair from environmental stressors like UV rays and pollution. These protective barriers help minimize further damage and preserve the health of the hair.
4. Smoothing the Hair Cuticle
The hair cuticle is the outermost layer of the hair shaft, consisting of overlapping cells that protect the inner layers. Damaged cuticles can lead to frizz and an uneven texture. Keratin shampoos work to smooth and seal the cuticle, creating a sleek surface that reflects light more effectively, resulting in shinier, more polished hair.

Incorporate a Weekly Treatment : For added nourishment, use a keratin-based deep conditioning treatment or hair mask once a week.

It's St. John's Wort and Yarrow season!

What a delight to be in peak st. johns wort and yarrow flowering season. These medicines have held. us. down., both in body oil and tincture form. St. Johns wort is a potent antiviral and antidepressant. Yarrow is a dependable healer of all assortment of bruises, cuts, aches, and pains. Combined, they're a mighty force.
We have been lovingly observing these plants and harvesting limited amounts from areas where they are growing abundantly and seem pleased to have a haircut. Both plants have been growing strong on the land here season after season. The pollinators are verrrryyy pleased.

Check out the deep red medicine from the st. Johns wort tincture we made last season.... the body oil (olive oil base) has a similar color.

This year, we are experimenting with an alcohol free (vegetable glycerin) tincture, as well as a tincture made with a local 90 proof gin made with local juniper berries and honey we believe will provide additional medicinal benefits.
Tumblr media
Excited to tend (and be tended by) these plants and provide this medicine to our community.

Serum, in the context of skincare, refers to a concentrated formulation containing active ingredients designed to address specific skin concerns. Serums are lightweight, fast-absorbing liquids that typically have a higher concentration of active ingredients compared to other skincare products like moisturizers or creams. They are formulated to penetrate deep into the skin to deliver targeted benefits.
Serums come in various types, each tailored to address different skincare needs:
Hydrating Serum: Designed to provide intense hydration to the skin, often containing ingredients like hyaluronic acid, glycerin, or ceramides to attract and retain moisture.
Anti-Aging Serum: Formulated to target signs of aging such as fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of elasticity. Anti-aging serums may contain ingredients like retinol, vitamin C, peptides, or antioxidants to promote collagen production and improve skin texture.
Brightening Serum: Intended to even out skin tone, reduce dark spots, and enhance radiance. Brightening serums may contain ingredients like vitamin C, niacinamide, kojic acid, or licorice extract to promote a more luminous complexion.
Acne-Fighting Serum: Developed to combat acne and prevent breakouts, these serums often contain ingredients like salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, tea tree oil, or niacinamide to unclog pores, reduce inflammation, and regulate oil production.
Soothing Serum: Targeted at calming sensitive or irritated skin, soothing serums typically contain ingredients like aloe vera, chamomile, green tea extract, or centella asiatica to reduce redness and inflammation.
To use a serum, apply a small amount to clean, dry skin after cleansing and toning but before moisturizing. Gently massage the serum into the skin using upward motions until fully absorbed. Follow up with a moisturizer to lock in the benefits of the serum.
Serums can be incorporated into both morning and evening skincare routines, depending on your skin type and concerns. They are versatile products that can help address a wide range of skincare issues, from hydration and anti-aging to brightening and acne treatment.

ESSENTIAL OILS VS. CARRIER OILS
Essential Oil: A volatile, highly concentrated distillation of plant extracts that retain the natural smell or flavor ("essence") of their source.
Because these are so concentrated, and the extraction process used is quite different from carrier oils, essential oils can be quite volatile. They are flammable and sometimes 'burn' the skin on direct contact, almost like a chemical burn. It can be quite painful. That's why you should never, ever apply undiluted essential oils to your skin.
Examples include common essential oils like lavender, orange, tea tree oil, and ylang-ylang. All of these oils have certain benefits for skin or hair and are commonly used in aromatherapy. However, they are only used in very small, diluted amounts.
Carrier Oil: A base oil used to dilute essential oils before topical application. Typically a single-source oil, but not always.
These are usually pressed, as opposed to the steam distillation process used to extract essential oils.
Carrier oils are harmless when applied topically. Typical examples include Sweet Almond Oil, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, and even Vegetable Glycerin. For a more comprehensive list of those that might be available, look HERE.
Single-Source Oil: As the name suggests, these are oils that come from one plant source that are deemed harmless for topical application, exempting an individual's specific allergies.
Many have health benefits, such as Olive and Avocado Oils, which are full of Omega-3s and other good fats. These benefits can also be applied to haircare and skincare. For more information on which oils are good for cosmetic use, look HERE.
How to Use Essential Oils Topically:
A typical recipe is 1 fl oz carrier oil of your choice to 1-3 drops of essential oil, depending on the strength of the oil and your tolerance. Shake well to mix before each use because the oils can separate when left to settle.
This can be used for skincare, haircare, or bodycare, depending on the oils you select.
Examples:
Essential Oils
Lavender: Relaxation, bug repellent, may help with hair growth
Orange: Energizing, uplifting DO NOT PUT ORANGE EO ON YOUR FACE, IT DOESN'T CONTAIN VITAMIN C & WILL HURT YOUR SKIN
Tea Tree Oil: Antibacterial, clarifying, helps with dandruff control and acne
Rosemary: Clarifying, stimulating, helps with hair growth
And many more! Look up essential oils and their uses HERE.
Carrier Oils
Sweet Almond Oil: Commonly used due to its light scent and easy absorption, but can cause allergic reaction in those allergic to almonds and tree nuts
Coconut Oil: Another good choice with lots of nutrients in it, but does have a fairly strong smell of its own and will affect your blends; particularly good for haircare
Olive Oil: A heavier oil; can have a strong scent; loaded with healthy fats for skin and hair
Vegetable Glycerin: A blend of vegetable oils commonly used in cosmetics, usually high in soy; not much scent
For more information on single-source carrier oils, look HERE.
So, by mixing 1 fl oz Sweet Almond Oil with 1-2 drops Lavender Essential Oil, you can create an oil suitable for moisturizing skin with relaxing aromatherapy benefits. You can also try dabbing some on before going outside to naturally repel mosquitos.
If you want to try using Lavender Essential Oil to boost hair growth and help scalp health, I'd recommend using Coconut Oil as your carrier oil instead. It absorbs easily and doesn't throw off scalp pH. Plus, coconut oil by itself can help condition your hair, improve shine and strengthen, and help your hair grow. It's the natural choice when it comes to oils for haircare.
A few drops of Tea Tree Oil in a suitable carrier oil for sensitive skin -- I recommend Grapeseed Oil -- can help treat and fade acne marks.
The possibilities for mixtures are incredibly vast. It really just depends on what you're trying to do. Get creative with it!

March favorites?
Tretinoin and a 2% BHA serum.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These 2 are a very powerful combo. I only use BHAs once a week, there are people who use it every single day and it is true that is a lot more gentle compared to other chemical exfoliators but I do not want to overexfoliate my skin or disrupt my skin barrier again like last year (when I would use the highest percentages of Vitamin C, AHA, Retinoids every day) so I make sure I only use it when I really need it. I use Tretinoin for anti-aging purposes only, it does not require a prescription where I live so I can get it at any pharmacy. 0.1% is the highest concentration available on the market and some people purge like crazy but I have been using it for on and off 4 years so my skin is used to it. My skin is far from perfect and sometimes I break out due to hormones, stress or lack of sleep and I need products to improve my skin texture. One of my favorite things is applying my 0.1% Tretinoin on Friday night and on Monday my skin begins flaking, I take my BHA Serum massaging it into my skin and it gets rid of all my dead skin cells and I love how my skin looks smooth and glowy the next days.
Garnier Hyaluronic Aloe Replumping Superserum.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I would never really purchase something from Garnier. However, my aunt was recently diagnosed with preoral dermatitis (it's terrible) and her dermatologist told her to stop using any makeup or skincare so she gave me most of her cosmetics that I have been trying out the past few weeks. This is one of my favorites. Whenever I use a hydrating ingredient I always spritz my face with water first to maximize its benefits and this serum makes my skin feel so much more hydrated and fresh, it has a very calming & pleasant smell, and I sometimes add another layer depending on my skin's needs. It gives me the perfect base before I move on to applying my skin makeup. What makes this serum amazing is that it includes so many different hydrating ingredients - Aloe, Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin... My skin loves this superserum so I use this one quite often.
Missha A'pieu BB Maker SPF 30/PA++
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is another product that proves to me that Korean makeup products are amazing. The BB creams I've tried from Western brands have been lackluster at best, they never match my skin tone, they look off on me but I bought this in 212 Natural Beige and it is so perfect. It's called 'BB cream' but this product is so high coverage that I would almost call it a foundation. When my order first arrived, I was shocked at how small the product was, I thought I'm gonna finish it in two weeks tops but the thing is you put 1/2 a pea size on the back of your hand and realize you could easily cover your whole face with it. I don't know how that's possible but you really need soooo little, only a teeny tiny amount and it's something I still need to learn, I put a 3/4 pea just to be safe and it always turns out to be way too much. I know someone who works for Missha so I got this product at a heavy discount, I ordered 2 and she sent 4, what a darling and what an amazing excuse to buy more products!
Apple AirPods (3rd Generation).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These were a gift from my mom, my Huawei Freebuds stopped working and I've been complaining about it nonstop so she surprised me with a pair of Airpods 3, she was torn between the 2 and 3 so she gave me the receipt to let me decide. I went in the next day and got them exchanged, and I love them. I can do calls, binge my shows, participate in virtual meetings, listen to podcasts on my way to uni, listen to music for hours on end with no issues and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a pair of good headphones, the battery lasts a long time as well. The headphones may feel weird at the beginning, like they could fall out any second which is why I was hesitant in the beginning but I got used to it, it does not bother me anymore. I also got a cute little case, it's silver stoned and I am not really a bling person but I did not want to get silicone because they stain and rip, I wanted to try something different, so I just went ahead and bought this one, I love how it sparkles and it is pretty much impossible to damage.
A White Long Sleeved Leotard.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I am obsessed with this long sleeved leotard, it is a game changer and I think this is the best purchases I have made this year. It literally solves 90% of all my cloth-related problems. When I go to the dance studio, I throw this on with my black leggings as a base layer, I just have to take off my skirt and I am good to go within seconds. The material is stretchy but very fitted and I love how the fabric feels on my skin, I also how it looks on me and how it emphasizes my slim arms and my small waist. The fabric is very thin but it is not see through so I can wear my cropped wrap tops and all my see through tops over it without looking frumpy. I love a fitted look so I can wear it on its own with a pleated dark navy skirt or a black pencil skirt (my favorite) as well. It is a 10/10 and I have already purchased many more in various colors and this is the type of thing I never knew I needed.
Love, Cat.
