finally got some time to finish these guys up! which is sort of ironic considering I started these because I wanted to draw Malleus with a Dragapult, and then I just didn't for a million years!

Malleus has the aforementioned Dragapult, except it's a super special non-canon color Dragapult (like an anime-only form that you could get in-game exclusively through some limited-time event where you have to show up in-person at a specific location in Japan) (it has some wacky overpowered exclusive move/form and the OT is listed as Malleus) (so like that kind of ridiculous specialness) (Leona is extremely salty about this). also hoards and hoards of Dreepy. Dreepy LOVE Malleus. they take naps on his horns inbetween begging him to throw them across the island at mach speeds.

Lilia has a Drampa and a bunch of Woobat that he hasn't actually caught, they just follow him around in swarms because they sense a kinship with him. (also breaking my own rule again to say that he had a Mawile in the past, because...I just really wanted to give him a Mawile...)

Sebek has Sandile for obvious reasons, and also a Pikachu that bullies him relentlessly. :(

Silver has a shiny Corvisquire; I really went back-and-forth on also giving him an Aegislash, but...hm. those pokedex entries though. he can stick with just one for now.

(I hadn't planned on the shiny for him, but after I'd decided on the Corvisquire line and was looking it up for reference, I realized that shiny Rookidee is gold and then turns silver when it evolves and I lost my entire goddamn mind)

OKAY SO the chain all having their own teams, some make more sense than others (will add explanations)

Wild: Ceruledge, aigislash, decidueye, lycanrock (dawn form) phantump, zacian

^ mostly ghost type for obvious reasons. Lycanrock for Wolfie+ Zacian from pre calamity. HEAVY EMPHASIS on Ceruledge... It's been a bit since I checked it's dex entry, but if I recall, it's kind of a ghost knight turned pokemon (or something like that)

Time: Celebi, Banette, Mudsdale, Sylveon, mimikyu, miltank

^ mostly fairy types. Celebi can travel thru time if I recall, Banette is an abandoned children's doll so I thought that was symbolic, mimikyu being a ghost-fairy type I thought fit, miltank and mudsdale is self explanatory

Warriors: armarouge, sirfetche'd, gallade, doublade, kabutops, zamazenta

^ went for a more attack heavy team for him! Most are self explanatory, I feel! I thought zamazenta for him since it's Zacians counterpart (is that the right word?) and I feel like giving Wars and Wild similar pokemon would fit

Hyrule: Gardevoir, reuniclus, audino, Espeon, luxray, cresselia

^ went for more of a vibe for him tbh! I thought pokemon that would be helpful in a wasteland would go well. Was originally gonna give him a chancy as well but I feel that audino is enough! Cresselia is the opposite of Darkrai (sometimes portrayed as light vs dark I think) and I feel that fits

Wind: wartortle, gyaradose, castform, sharpedo, chatot, Lugia (solgaleo?)

^ Most are self explanatory but HEAR ME OUT. Lugia would fit Wind, HOWEVERRR Twilight has Lunala, and Legend has Cosmog, so it would be fitting to give him solgaleo since they all sprout from Time's timeline mayhaps....

Legend: musharna, wingul, sableye, Silvaly, cinderace, cosmog

^ More of a really REALLY heavy vibe for Ledge. Musharna can eat dreams and nightmares, and I feel like Legend would want to have something to prevent as many dreams as possible.... Wingul for obvious reasons. He also gives me cosmog vibes and I can't describe why.... Also he canonically named Cosmog Nebby id know he told me himself

Sky: Braviary (ancient form), deliberd, Dragonite, altaria, archeops, Ho-oh

^ pretty self explanatory, I feel. Flying types, shocker. Also imagine the Fossil pokemon aren't yet fossils in his era.

Twilight: mudsdale, Lycanrock (midnight form), absol, zoruark, espurr, Lunala

^ dark types mostly, Mudsdale for obvious reasons. I can't explain why he has an espurr he just does. Also Lunala. Bcuz. Wolves howl at the moon... Get it?

Four: mawile, Lucario, escavaliar, tinkaton, copporajah, tapu Koko, Lele, bulu, fini?

^ mostly steal types for the smithy but HEAR ME OUT. He has all the tapu pokemon but he only uses tapu Koko unless the colors are separated, because then they all have one.

Red gets Tapu Fini, blue gets Tapu Bulu, Vio gets Tapu Lele, and Green gets Tapu Koko

I want to put the whole chain with pokemon because they are my two obsessions

This battle was just another quick stop by their devious tracks; they weren't their first targets, and won't be the last!! The boys clench their fists in frustration as Team Break empties the Pokémon Center, running away with all the precious Poké Balls... To Be Continued!

Love that scene in Pokemon Scarlet (and Violet but I played Scarlet) where the protagonists were in Area Zero and describing their parents, and Penny is like "Omg, my dad's so annoying! He gives me annoying names like Pen-Pen," and Nemona is like, "I grew up in a rich family, and my parents gave me a lot of freedom but still made sure to care for me," and then Nemona tells Penny about how nice the protagonists mom is, and then Arven, with his fucked up parents, is just watching like:

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I need more crossover fanfictions in my life man there like. My favorite kinda of fic.

I like seeing characters getting thrust into wildly different situations and conflicts than what they’re used to. I like seeing characters react and compare differences between the world they’re from and the world they’re in. I like seeing characters with similar struggles getting to interact when they wouldn’t otherwise because they’re from two different worlds. I like seeing characters from different media clash with each other because they have differing perspectives on something, or seeing characters from different media learn from each other by interacting. I just feel like we need more of those, for funsies y’know?

For example, what if Edward Elric ended up in Dungeon Meshi. How would he react upon witnessing or discovering Falin’s resurrection and finding out that it worked. Other than absolute anger (which is a given with Ed’s temper), would he be jealous, just a bit, because Marceille succeeded in bringing back the one she loved? Why did she succeed while he and his brother failed and said failure has horrifically impacted their lives? How would learning about a SUCCESSFUL resurrection impact the actions he takes in the future? Would he relate to Laios, as both of them are dedicated older siblings who feel responsible for their younger siblings? Especially considering both of them feel directly responsible for their siblings becoming horrifically altered due to their actions. How does he interact with Senshi? Do they bond over similar views on seeing humans as small, but vital parts of the world’s ecosystem? I bet Senshi would love Ed’s appetite, what with him having a bottomless pit of a stomach (due to human transmutation shenanigans).

I dunno, I feel like there’s a lot of untapped potential in crossovers, both in terms of angst and in terms of just, general chaos and comedy. Like, imagine Sailor Moon in one of the Souls games like Elden Ring. Or putting Kirby in Disco Elysium? Can you imagine the insanity?! Cuz I can, it’s hilarious.
