Hello!

I'm working on building a vivarium and would love to house a frog, BUT I'm not sure if I could take care of it ad they seem pretty high maintenance.

Any tips for raising frogs or should I just go with something else?

Frogs are very high maintenance animals! Many common species need daily attention, and feeding multiple times per week, even if you have your climate systems automated. And they can live a surprisingly long time. Going on holiday, moving, and being sick can all make the burden of care extremely high. So, if you go for a frog, make sure you have a contingency plan.

My recommendation is usually to get a snake. Snakes are generally much lower maintenance, and many species can be much more interactive than frogs (frogs should be pretty strictly hands-off 'pets' imho). But this will be dependent on the dimensions of your tank, level of comfort with snakes, and comfort with feeding them frozen-thawed food. A crested gecko would be my go-to backup if those present problems.

basically, i think the general rule of thumb is: if someone REALLY wants the blood that’s inside of your body, and they’re like… a vampire, or a dracula, or some sort of mansquito, then that’s probably okay. a dracula and a mansquito are made for removing things like blood and swords from inside your body. that’s basically fine.

if something wants to get at your blood, and they’re, say, some kind of murdersaurus, or maybe a really big frog, that’s where the problems start to arise. a really frog is not made for removing blood, and your blood knows this, which is why it is so vehement about wanting to stay IN your body instead of coming out. 

unfortunately this will not deter a really big frog, because a really big frog is full of things like prizes, and value, and quite a lot of hatred, and it would REALLY rather like to replace any and all of those things with your blood, and basically by any means possible.

Gitrog had a vet visit today. Due to a recent power outage due to freezing temps and ice taking down power lines, he got cold for a while and is not eating. So vet time. He tried very hard to intimidate his vets by inflating and trying to look big.

Thalia and The Gitrog Monster is EVERYTHING

If I control the gitrog monster and I have the land side of bala ged recovery (mdfc) in play. Gitrog triggers and I sacrifice the mdfc land, does gitrog trigger to draw a card since mdfc are only their front side in all zones except hand?

No, it won't trigger and you won't draw a card.

This is because of how Gitrog's card draw trigger is worded. Abilities that look for cards to go to the graveyard "from anywhere" look at those cards as they appear in the graveyard. They don't look back in time like "from the battlefield" triggers do and so your MDFC is back to being a sorcery card once it's in the graveyard.
