Beyond Samhain: Global Traditions to Honor the Dead

Samhain, celebrated at the end of October in the Northern Hemisphere, is a sacred festival for many Pagans and witches. It marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the dark half of the year. It’s considered a time when the veil between the world of the living and the world of the dead is at its thinnest. Therefore, this Sabbat provides the opportunity to honor ancestors, remember…

Sylvanas, Jaina, Alleria with Arator, and Vereesa visit Quel'thalas with Jaina and Syl's children weither it be see Uncle Lor'thermar and Haulderon. They would take their own ship sometimes but other times; they take the regular boat.

Every time they go to Quel'thalas, Sylvanas and Co always stopped by the graves of their grand parents and uncle, Lirath. Each would bring their own offering to them.

And they would always stop by the city to purchase expensive Quel'thalasian wine to offer to the dead.

Jaina would bring food from Kul'tirias to place in a bowl in front of each grave as well as her own person favorite Kul'tirian rum.

Each of the sisters would bring something their parents loved in life.

For Lireesa, it would be her child's bow.

For Verath, it would be drawing from his grand children.

Lastly, for Lirath it would be his pipe flute.

Sylvanas would speak a Thalassian prayer of sorts. Each being different at the three graves.

The eldest WIndrunner would bring somethin from her travels to Argus.

For Arator, he could clean each grave with his power of the light.

The former banshee queen together with her sisters stood in front of their Little Lord Sun's grave before singing a song from their childhood; lament of the highborne.

Each sister would take turns talking about their lives since the death of their family.

Faintly on the wind, each sister heard a familiar sound; Lirath's flute pipe. This was something they had asked his spirit to do in order to tell them he was watching over his sisters.

Finally, Jaina would use her magick to make the wine and food disappear into the ground.

Each sister would take a few moments by themselves to talk to their parents and little brother about memories they cherish. Sylvanas would inform her mother that she and Jaina decided to name their daughter after her.

In the twilight of Samhain's sacred night, Where veils between worlds are thin and light, I seek the mushrooms, mystical and old, Their secret stories, by the ancients told.

Beneath the silver moon's enchanting gleam, They rise from earth, like whispers in a dream, With caps of velvet and stems so slender, They beckon, in their splendor, to surrender.

Toadstools of enchantment, they appear, A portal to the spirit world so near, As Samhain's magic weaves its ancient spell, The fungi's wisdom, they are here to tell.

In shadowed groves, where secrets come to life, I find the fungi, free from mortal strife, Their colors shimmer, phosphorescent bright, Guiding me through Samhain's mystic night.

With every bite, a journey to the stars, To converse with spirits, both near and far, In visions deep, my soul begins to soar, As I explore the realms unseen, once more.

These magic mushrooms, gifts from earth and sky, Unveil the truths that often pass us by, On Samhain's eve, they lead us on a quest, To touch the realms of spirits, manifest.

In reverence, I partake and feel their grace, Commune with ancestors, in that sacred space, For on this night, the boundaries grow thin, And through these mushrooms, ancient worlds begin.

So, on Samhain's eve, we gather 'round, To honor spirits in the hallowed ground, With magic mushrooms as our guiding star, We journey far, wherever spirits are.

In the dance of shadows, moonlight beams, Samhain's magic mushrooms fill our dreams, Connecting past and present, far and near, On this sacred night, the veil is clear. By Mycolancer

They were someone who loved and was loved. They were someone’s friend and family member. It's a few years after AGIT and Danny's off to college! Gotham City University specifically.

Things are going well, he's going for a mechanical engineering degree. Sam and Tucker are around and when they're not too busy they meet up, he's even making friends outside of the Amity social-circle. He works as a medium to pay his bills and, surprise-surprise bringing shades back to the ghost zone is easy for a kid who fought supervillain level ghosts in highschool.

Tiny problem though, nobody in Amity taught Danny to be "human". He obviously knows not to float around in public just cause his feet are tired, but his friends know human eyes don't glow to really show when you're annoyed. They all like him still but, Everybody thinks he's something.

His classmates: think he's possessed by a demon.

The Bats: think he's possessed by a snich ghost.

His new friends: think he's a closeted meta.

Danny: thinks he's crushing the whole secret-identity thing ;)
