[I approach the girl standing off to the side.]

[Her eyes shift towards my direction, staring at me with wide, pale eyes. She's tugging and running her fingers through her hair roughly. Definitely a nervous sign.]

Chika Ami : Something the matter?

??? : Oh......... Hello..

[Wow, her voice is so soft and quiet. I could barely hear her.]

??? : He.... He won't stop staring..

Chika Ami : He? Mind pointing him out for me?

[She glanced back at me, shock in her eyes for a split second, before raising a shaking hand that pointed behind her.]

[The man in question was indeed staring, not even stopping when we looked at him. Definitely getting a gross vibe from him.]

Chika Ami : Let's make a deal, eh? I'll tell him off if you tell me who you are. Is that fair?

??? : … … …

Small Announcement

I’ve realized something that I am doing wrong with this comic, which is the main reason this is taking so long as it is. I draw sprites as I go, instead of making them all in one go. As someone who has problems with motivation, this isn’t working well at all. I’m gonna change this and work on this.

I’m still gonna be slow with this, but I’m hoping changing this will help at least a little more. 

All in all, I’m kind of back from a long unannounced hiatus, and I’m hoping to change some things and be more productive! I want you guys to meet all the characters at least~

[A sailor huh? I hardly believe it, but she's stopped crying. A win on my side I guess?]

Kaimana : Oh I recognize that look on yer face! How could you not believe me? Do ye need proof or somethin'? I can show ye how strong I can be!!

[Before I could object, the sailor easily threw me onto a nearby chair. I tried to settle myself so I hopefully don't fall along with the chair, as Kaimana sat in front of me.]

Kaimana : Let's arm wrestle. None o' th' other sailors I've met were ever able t' beat me easily.

[Ho boy.]

[I sit up and take her hand, gripping it tight. If it's a challenge she wants, I'll gladly accept it.]

[. . .]

Chika Ami : ...And that's a point to you, sailor.

Kaimana : Damn right it is! There is a reason I am th' Ultimate ye know?

[I was pulverized. Ouch, embarrassing.]

Kaimana : Hey, that was a good game, I can see ye as a nice sailor.

Kaimana : But now I'm pumped up! Ay clown, reckon ye can beat me!?

[There she goes. I still don't think she should be here, but I'm glad to see she's a little stronger than most.]

[I should worry about this later though, the next girl looks like she needs help.]

Finally an update! Better yet an update with a new character!!

[I sigh and turn to the next person, when I realize she's crying pretty hard. A few people are trying to comfort her, but nothing seems to help her. I panic and run up to her, kneeling in front of her.]

[Looking up close to her made me realize just how young she must be. She shouldn't be here, right? No, It doesn't matter anyways, a crying child still deserves comfort.]

Chika Ami : Shh.. Sh.. What's the matter kid?

??? : I-I *hic* miss h-her..!

[Aww, I understand. She must miss her family or someone she cares for. Thinking about it is making me a little homesick...]

Chika Ami : It's ok, I understand completely! I promise we'll get you out of here and find your family kiddo

??? : No, ye're completely wrong!

[Huh??]

??? : I miss my darlin' ship! 

[What???]

??? : Ye know, me ship! I rode her through th' seven seas!! Her name was Ambition 'n she was th' best ship 'n only ship I've ever sailed!

[I feel like I've been thrown off a ship]

Chika Ami : Well then sailor, what's your name? 

??? : Haven't ye heard? Everyone knows it!

[ She turns around and squats on the floor. I want to say sorry, but it feels like I can't. I think the best thing I can do is leave her be. I turn around and head to the next person. ]

[ She looks up at me and seems to stop crying immediately. But she doesn’t take the invitation, instead taking a step back and eying me nervously. ]

[ Who? I quickly shake my head no. ]
