Why is DC's official merch on their website genuinly so ugly like is this not a company filled with artists?? Even if not, they couldn't bother hiring one (1) person for the merchandise department who knows basic fashion or graphic design??

#dc #dc merch #I'll never not be pissed about those patterned sweat/pyjama pants where the patterns don't even align slightly and they charge $60 #daylight robbery and i live in a different timezone at that #and the superman 2025 merch is all so ugly too like even the good one on the mug has the text too far slanted in the distance or whatever #idk terms. and the colour choices are dogshit too like are we just blind or do we not care DC? srs question #and its all very movie focused too like chat i dont think dc realises they sell comics??#most of the comic merch is ugly af too and its all batman and superman and ww if you squint #i hate that fucking batman through the ages sweater. i would have loved it if it made sense and didnt make a weird skip and didnt have the #ugliest and squartied jim lee batman in the middle that clashed with every other artstyle and color and just looked bad like does dc know #there are other modern batman designs outside of jim lee #like its good art but and i know he is head of the art department or whatnot and that he had a big role in revolutionizing comics in the #90s. but also how about we stop riding dick?? like.. at least grab a better drawing and dont have it come loose from the borders like that #girl from the ring #and also the dc logo and the batman logo were on top of each other with a thin line in between like why are we deviding logos like its #metaphorical math?? i dont even want to do normal math

People have been asking for elves who aren’t just perfect ethereal Mary Sues for ages and the minute they get Galadriel making bad choices because of her PTSD and Gil Galad being kind of bitchy because he’s got objectively one of the worst jobs in Middle Earth (which he inherited as a teenager and has a nearly 100% fatality rate), folks are upset they aren’t likable enough?? If y’all saw what the elves got up to in the First Age you’d hurl.

Thinking casually about Galadriel's declaration earlier this season that caring for that which is most fragile and most dear is the duty entrusted to all elves and how Celebrimbor's gentle care in noticing and greeting that little mouse is what allowed him to see past Sauron's deception. :)
