Flashlight 2
“What is it you two want?” I demanded angrily as I pulled away the basement hatch, infuriated that my watching of the ball game had been interrupted. “It had better be important!” The screening of the final has been continually disturbed by plaintive female voices complaining of some injury or the other. I wanted to ignore them, but figured the boss wouldn’t be pleased if heiress Cindy Austin came to harm, even if he would have been less troubled if that meddlesome Nancy Drew, also now a prisoner in the basement, had hurt herself.
I hauled up the hatch and had a microsecond to take in the leather jacketed and blue jeans-clad form of the Drew girl perched at the top of a ladder in the semi-dark. “Hi.” I heard the redhead say simply before suddenly I was completely dazzled by the white beam of a flashlight. I fell back with a cry, blinded. I was aware of a clattering, plus the urgent call of “Come on, Cindy, don’t be scared!” as I rolled around on the floor, desperately trying to dispel the weird shadows and lights from my vision. As my sight finally cleared, I sat up to see Nancy Drew, standing over me and smiling sweetly. “Goodnight.” she said a second before her sneaker-clad foot landed neatly on my jaw.
When I came to, my hands were tied behind my back, I was bound to an upright and a cloth had been tied efficiently around my mouth, gagging me. I looked over to see the girl detective and Cindy. Nancy Drew was going through the pockets of jacket, which was slung on an armchair. “I’ve got his car keys, Cindy,” she told the young kidnap victim she had rescued, happily. “His car’s out front. Let’s get out of here!” The next thing I knew was the door slamming shut as the two smart alec females scarpered. I was left bound and gagged, trying to work out how I was going to explain my situation to the boss, or the cops - whichever got here first!”

Alcina Dimitrescu/Fem!Reader

Warnings: angst, violence(only a little), open ending(kinda)
WC: 8.5k
Author’s note: this one has been finished for quite a while now, hope you guys enjoy:) I’m also still working on some requests don’t know when those will be done tho. I missed the tall boob lady
*
You had been spending most of your time swinging through the city. Helping where you could. Today had been great so far. You had rescued a kitten from a tree. Helped a lovey elderly woman across the busy streets of New York. Assisted the police in a car chase. Helped a little girl with her science project. And you finally got your project approved at your place of work. Which happened to be the Heisenberg Industries. You had interned there while you were in college and it had been something you had fallen in love with. Making things, building things had been something you always loved doing. It's how you build your amazing spider suit.
At the age of 25 you were set. Well mostly set. The job payed great. It was an easy job. Mostly, it didn't interfere with your other job. Even if most times it made you too busy for a social life. You only had a few contacts on your phone. One for work and the other for a great detective named Jill Valentin. She called you only when it was urgent. Or sometimes you called her when you were finished doing some ass kicking. You had made sure your phone could in no way be tracked.
You smiled as you sat at edge of a building, letting you feet dangle as you relaxed. That was until your police scanner, voiced out in your suit.
"Attention units we had reports of a possible kidnapping. Report to Greenwich ave. Victim is a 5 year old girl, red hair wearing a yellow flowered dress, suspects car is a grey sedan."
"That's close by." You jumped off the building, swinging towards the last location. There was way too many grey sedans around the area for you to know which one was the right one.
"Good thing my mask can zero in on muffled noises."
You jumped down on to the busy street. The noises in your mask leading you to an abandoned parking lot. You saw a car and the muffled noises were becoming clearer and clearer by the step.
"I want my mommy." A little girls voice cried. You moved quickly, ripping the trunk door off the car with your Spidergirl strength. At the sight of a little girl tied up your anger spiked. The tears streamed down her face. Breaking your heart in the process.
"Hey it's okay. I got you."
The little red head looked at you with wide eyes. You cut off the rope tying her wrists and ankles together.
"S-Spidey?"
"Yea it's me kiddo. You're safe now. I gotcha." She seemed to relax just a bit but she was still crying. She wrapped her arms around your neck and you picked her up from the car. "No one has called me that before. Maybe that could be your little nickname for me. How does that sound?"
"Rreally?" She hiccuped as she pulled away whipping her tears with a her hand balled up.
"Oh yea of course. It could only a nickname you could call me. What's your name that way I can give you a nickname."
"Daniela! My-My name is Daniela." She finally smiles at you. Her breathing settling just a bit, little hiccups escaping her lips.
"Mm Daniela that's a sweet name. Okay how about Lil D. SpideyDani." At the mention of SpideyDani you saw how her eyes lit up. You chuckled behind your mask as she nodded excitedly. "Okay SpideyDani how about I get you back to your-Oh no the bad men are back. Please don't let them take me." Her little cry of pure fear cut you off her breathing once again picking up.
You turned around to see a group of men coming towards you. Your hold the toddler tightening just a bit.
"Okay SpideyDani, I'm going to put you in the car with my friend spider bot. He'll protect you while I go kick some butt." The spider on your chest detached it self and climbed on top of Daniela. She giggled as you whipped her tears. The spider resting on the toddlers shoulder.
"I'll be right back. He'll keep you safe." With a nod from the toddler. You smiled behind your mask and shut the door.
"Well fellas. I gotta say I'm disappointed. A little girl? Really? Not cool."
There was a total of seven men, five of them with melee weapons and the other two with hand guns.
"Give us the kid Spider freak."
"That little brat will win us a load of money."
"Enough talk." One of the men with a gun raised it but you were faster. Shooting your webs and ripping it out of his hands. You moved quickly, webbing him up to the side of a car. Dodging a pipe that swung towards you. You ripped the the gun out of the hands of the other kidnapper and pulled him forcefully towards you and into a punch. Knocking him out cold.
Two down. Five to go.
Taking down the rest of the kidnappers was a walk in the park. Nothing you couldn't handle. Once everything was done with, you let out a huff and went back to the car. You called it in before actually getting to the car. You wanted this douche bags to pay for the trauma they caused the little girl. You opened the door and Daniela jumped into your arms, the spider going back to your chest.
"Hey it's okay SpideyDani. You're safe now." She held you tighter as you took her out of the car. Your spider bot going back on to the center of your suit.
"I want my mommy."
"I'll take you to your mommy. Hold on tight okay."
*
You had swung slow and carefully towards the police station where you heard over your police scanner that mother of the Daniela was at. Once you got there you were confused on why there were so many reporters there. There was a small barrier keeping the reporters away from the main entrance to the building. You landed gently in front of the building and made your way in. You didn't get five steps in before you heard Daniela cry out.
"MOMMY!!"
You looked up and felt your heart stop at the sight of the woman in front of you. You watched as the woman tuned around her eyes welling up with tears as she ran towards you. Her eyes that were filled with anger and concern were now filled with relief.
"Daniela!"
You put Daniela down once she started to move in your arms. You watched as the little girl ran to the woman you once called your lover. Although you had tried to burry it. Ignore the heart break this very woman that stood in front of you, had left you in. She had broken up with you, had left you with out a reason, an explanation on why. Nothing. She had just left. Seeing her now, had made all your buried feelings to resurface. She had grown into a beautiful woman, her once long hair was now just above shoulder length. Her beautiful blue eyes still shinned like they did before. Her features were just beautiful as before just mature, older.
"Thank you Spider-Girl. Thank you. Thank you. You brought my little girl back to me."
You were brought out of your thoughts as she addressed you. You cleared your throat. Feeling the lump in your throat that had started to form.
"Of course ma'am. It was the right thing to do."
At the sound of your voice, you watched as she snapped her gaze towards you. Her eyes burned into your eyes. You knew she couldn't see your eyes but it felt like she could. You saw the furrow of her eyebrows as she looked at you. She can't tell it's me right? There's no way.
"Well I'm glad little SpideyDani is safe and sound. Now I must be off." The little girl beamed at you from her mothers arms.
"Bye bye Spidey."
You chuckled as you waved goodbye. But before you could actually leave a hand shot out to you. Grabbing the inside of your elbow. You looked down at the hand and felt your heart break all over again at the sight of a wedding ring.
"I'm sorry ma'am but I really must be off." And like that you left. Hoping to never run into her again. Even if part of you wanted to see her again. It you knew, with this lifestyle it was dangerous.
*
You couldn't believe it. Alcina was just as beautiful as the last day you saw her. Maybe even more beautiful if that was possible. You hadn't seen or even heard from her in almost eight years and a half. The only thing you knew after the break up (it was more of her just leaving with out a word) was that she had moved away. And that was it. Never to be seen or heard from, up until now. You even tried to call her but your number never got through. Your messages and voicemails left unread and unheard. Going as far as trying to reach her little sister, Donna or her little brother Salvatore. But it was no use.
"Y/n there you are. I just wanted to say that your recent project has made quite a difference already." You beamed at your boss who came into your work station. You shook away the thoughts of your ex lover and directed your attention to your boss. You had known him for almost six years now. Even though you didn't really know much of his personal life he was still like a great mentor for you.
"The stocks are shooting up, which means more money for the company, more money for you and most importantly more money for me. But seriously, great work kid. The city thanks you. Now I have a dinner date with the family. You are free to go for the day. Celebrate kid. You deserve it." Karl patted your back as he smiled down at you. He knew from the moment you stepped foot into his building you'd do great things. And the years you have worked for him, you haven't let him down.
"Thanks sir. I already have more ideas I'd like to show you." You pulled out your notebook but was stopped by his hand.
"I said take the day kid, I'd love to see your ideas but after you get some rest and put that big brain of yours to rest. Now go before you make me late for my dinner. And for the last time it's Karl."
"Okay have fun with your family dinner."
"Doubt it. My sister is coming and I haven't really seen her for quite awhile. Well, I'll see you later kid."
*
She sat at the dinner table with her daughters, mother, sister, her sister's daughter and her younger brother. They were just now waiting for her older brother. Karl. She had been close with all her siblings except him. Even when she was a child. Karl had spent most of his time with their father. Who lived in Romania. Her parents had divorced when she was young. So she hardly ever saw Karl. Up until recently when she had grown somewhat close to her brother.
But as she sat at the table with her family. Her thoughts drifted to Y/n. Her past lover. The only person she ever loved. Who she still loved. Even after all these years. She had never regretted something more than when she had to leave you. When she had to break your heart in order to keep her own family safe. It was something she regrets. It was something she'll regret to the day she'll die.
But her mind drifted to the hero of New York. She never really thought of her. She knew her daughters loved Spider-Girl. She knew Spider-Girl had been around for quite a while know. But she never really thought about it until now. That voice. She could have recognized it anywhere. But it had been so long. But that voice.
Looking back when the spider first appeared had been around the same time you had started acting strange. You had become more secretive. You always had new bruises and cuts on you. You had always blamed it on your clumsiness. And her being the idiot she was. She had believed you. She had known you for five years before you started dating. She knew how clumsy you were. There was no reason to doubt you. But looking back she should have paid attention more.
Could you be Spider-Girl?
She almost wanted to laugh at how insane it sounded. Cause there was no chance. She was delusional.
"Sorry I'm late, had some business to take care of. Hello girls."
"Hello uncle Karl." Were heard from the four toddlers at the table. The older man smiled and greeted his siblings and mother.
"Uncle Karl I met Spidey!"
Karl looked at his youngest niece and smiled. He still felt anger for what his niece went through. If it weren't for Spider-Girl, he didn't know where Daniela would be right now. The men that had taken her were going to be in jail for a long time. He made sure of it. But so did his sister. Alcina had made sure they never saw light as free men again.
"Oh really. That's awesome kiddo. I heard she's super fast."
"Oh yea uncle Karl super super fast. She was kicking butt while her spider buddy was with me and protecting me." Daniela gushed, her trauma of being kidnapped being over looked by her experience with Spider-Girl. Daniela had told her sisters on how Spider-Girl had taken her swinging and how spider buddy had kept her entertained while you kicked butt.
"I can't believe those-Mother please. Not in front of the children." Alcina cut off her mother. Knowing very well how angry Miranda was when she heard of what happened to Daniela. Her mother took a deep breath to calm herself and nodded.
The waiter showed up to the table and took everyone's order. The four children kept on talking about Spider-Girl. While the adults spoke about Donna's garden center, Salvatore about his job as a doctor, Alcina with her wine business and Karl with his business.
"Oh yeah business was great. A worker of mine has the brain of a genius I swear she's coming up with inventions after inventions. With everything that she comes up with I think I'm gonna have to change the name to hers." He said proudly. He felt like a proud father any time he got the chance to speak of you. In his forty years of living he never met a worker like you. You were more than just a employee to him at this point.
"Oh yes I'm so proud of you and your company Karl. Everyone I'm so proud of everyone." The older woman gushed about her kids. The adults around the tabled smiled at their mother.
Alcina was trying to focus on her little brother Salvatore talk, she really was but her mind kept on drifting to you. She wondered what you were doing now. You were twenty five now. Eight full years without seeing you, hearing your voice. The times you two would cuddle in her bed. After all these years she was still in love with you. Your voice was something that was engraved in her mind and heart.
"Mommy when can I meet Spider-Girl?" Alcina looked towards her middle child and smiled. Her two eldest girls have been wanting to meet Spider-Girl since Daniela had been saved by the hero.
"I don't kn-I actually have someone who works for me that knows Spider-Girl." Karl said gathering the attention of all his nieces. He couldn't help but laugh at the sight of four hopeful and pleading looks.
"Please uncle Karl. Please. Please." The four children pleaded.
"Oh I don't know, your moms have told me that you've been bad girls. Not putting your toys away. Not finishing your homework-WWHAT?!"
Now the five adults laughed at the tiny outraged faces looking at their mothers. "That's not true! Uncle Karl I put all my toys away before we came, right mama." The tiny five year old said. Donna chuckled towards her daughter.
"That's right sweetheart."
"I'll have to ask my friend Y/n if it's okay with Spider-Girl. I hear she's really busy."
At the sound of your name leaving her older brothers lips her head snapped towards him and then her mother. Who was already looking at her.
Miranda had known about you since you and Alcina were kids. She saw how in love her daughter was with you. She saw it in everything her daughter did. The smile Alcina would have every morning, knowing that you would always send her daughter a good morning text. The way her daughter would talk about you. The love her daughters eyes held any time she looked at you.
She had always liked you for her daughter.
But the moment her ex husband came back into the picture was when everything came crashing down. She had tried everything to save her daughter from her own father. But everything had happened too fast.
She saw the happiness leave her daughters eyes the moment she was told the news.
Thankfully, now her daughter was divorced. Getting away from that man after everything. Being able to take her granddaughters away from the crazed man had been such a blessing. From the moment they were taken from their homes and taken back to Romania, they fought tooth and nail. But she had forgotten how powerful her ex husband truly was. So they had to bid their time.
After the birth of Salvatore, she herself had gotten away from her ex husband. Successfully getting away from that man, the moment Karl had turned eighteen she had helped him escape. And when she was fit to travel she divorced her ex husband and never looked back. When her ex husband died it had been a blessing in disguise. That had truly helped them in getting away from Alcina's husband. With her ex husband no longer alive the deal between her ex husband and ex son in law was no more.
Her family was no longer in danger between the two mafia bosses.
"Y/n? As in Y/n Y/ln?" Alcina her voice cracking just bit. Her eyes shinned with hopefulness and eagerness.
Karl looked at his younger sister confused. He had no clue Alcina knew you. He knew you were way too awkward to talk to any attractive lady. And he wasn't blind his sister may have been a brat but she was an attractive woman. There was no way you knew his sister. He's seen how you react around anyone really. If it wasn't about business you'd always keep to yourself. Which is why he'd always be the one to present your work to the public. It was never you.
"Uh yea. I didn't know you knew Y/n. She works for me. A great kid. She has a bright future ahead of her. That's for sure. I'll talk to her girls. I'm sure she can pull some strings but no promises okay."
The girls excitedly giggled with each other.
Alcina was left thinking about you. How she was coming closer to seeing you, after so long she was going to see you again.
**
"Hey aunt May, hey uncle Ben. Sorry I haven't visited you guys. It's been busy. My project got accepted and it's been doing the city good. I have a few other projects in line. Hopefully they do just as well. Um you're not gonna believe who I saw today." You sat on the grass after setting down the flowers at each grave. Ever since losing your aunt may last year, you had been throwing your self into work. Spider work and your actual paying job.
"I saw Alcina, she's just as gorgeous as the last time I saw her. Even more gorgeous now if that's possible. Is it bad that I want to talk to her? I mean she left me, she's married now. Has a little girl." You felt your eyes fill with tears. The emptiness in your heart grew. Feeling stupid and foolish for thinking that maybe one day Alcina would come back to you.
"She's happy. She's moved on. I think it's about time I do it to. Right? Well I-" At the sound of sirens blaring near by, you knew it was time to work. The city never slept, it was New York after all. You stood up from your position, looking down at the two grave stones. "I know I'll be careful aunt may. I'll be back soon." You put on your mask and went to work.
*
You were a little sore the following day. Going into work a little later than usual. You had called Karl of course, he understood and said you could come in at any time. So it was a little later than usual when you did arrive at work. Making your way to your lab, but before you could you were stopped.
"Y/n Mr.Heisenberg wants you to go to his office." Karl's assistant spoke from her desk.
"Okay thanks Ethan."
*
Walking into the office you had not been prepared to see four little girls in the office.
"Oh are you Y/n?!" A little girl with her black hair spoke. You swallowed the lump in your throat. The little girl was a spitting imagine of Alcina. So Alcina has two little girls.
"Uh yes, I am."
"Y/n do you know Spidergirl? My uncle Karl said you do." A girl with dirty blonde hair said as she now stood next to the little girl that looked like Alcina. But then another girl approached, this one you did recognize. Daniela.
"Yes. I've spoken to her a few times." You couldn't help but chuckle at the excitement on the four little girls.
"Can we meet her please, please!"
You couldn't help be startled just a bit at how the four spoke simultaneously. A laugh rang out in the room. You looked away from the four girls to see your boss standing there.
"Sorry Y/n, I may have mentioned that you knew Spidergirl last night, they begged me to bring them in with me today." The only reason he knew you knew Spidergirl was because he had walked into your lab at a late hour only to see you upgrading Spidergirl's suit. It was no wonder Spidergirl's suit and equipment were so unique. It was cause you built them for the hero. He understood why you had to keep it a secret. Spidergirl's enemies would go after you if they knew. And since he cared deeply about you and your safety he kept his mouth shut.
"Well I'm only supposed to call her when it's an emergency." You tried to escape this situation. It's not that you didn't want to, but you didn't really want to be known for being "friends" with Spidergirl.
"Pleaseplease."
But you were always a sucker for her pout. It was even worse now seeing it on three little girls faces. Well turns out Alcina has three girls.
She must be really happy.
"Okay I'll call her, but if she's busy. You girls have to understand okay?"
The girls squealed in excitement as they nodded.
*
You walked into your bosses office again through the balcony window but this time dressed in your spider suit. You had left to make the "phone call".
"Spidergirl!" The four little girls cheered and ran to you.
"Hi guys!" This time you came prepared with a slight voice changer. Not wanting Karl to recognize your voice. The girls didn't mind as they were too happy to see spider-girl. "Well I can't stay long but my friend said that she wanted to meet some people. And Spidey-Dani, happy to see you again buddy."
The beaming smile on Daniela was the absolute cutest. "I'm super happy to see you to Spidey. This is my sisters Bela and Cassandra, this is my cousin Angie."
"Nice to meet you, I'm Spider-girl."
The girls giggled the smiles never whipping away from their faces. "We know Spider-girl."
You also let out a short laugh, "As much as I would love to stay here and chat with you guys I-" And as if god was hearing you the loud sound of police sirens was heard. "Duty calls. It was nice to meet you."
And like that you were gone.
*
Working back in your lab was all you needed. It was quiet, the only sound being from what ever you working on and the low sound of the music being heard. It was the great atmosphere that you just always got work done. The sound of the doors being slid open was heard.
"Mr.Heisenberg, I'm not even close to being finished, and this is like the fifth time you've checked up on me. It's not gonna get done any quicker." You didn't even look away from your work. You continued your work on a device that could help with the patients that suffered from a loss of a limb. The device could help them with the pain and make them feel like their missing limb was still there without the pain.
It was still a work in progress.
When you didn't hear anything in return, you knew you weren't in danger. Seeing as your Spidey senses didn't go off. You set your equipment down and turned around. Freezing in your seat at who you saw. A part of you, a small part, the hurt part, hated her. Hated that she moved on so easily. Hated that she threw you away like you were nothing. Like the love you shared was nothing. Yet it wasn't love, was it? Not for her. You had been so sure she wasn't going to try to see you. That she wouldn't want to see the person she left behind all those years ago. But yet here she was, in all her glory.
"The lab is closed. You can't be in here." You finally found your voice. Swallowing the lump and hoping your face held no emotions. You didn't want to see her (yes you did) didn't want to hear about how happy she was with her daughters and husband. You turned back around to face your table.
"Y/n, please. I just want to talk-Well I can't I'm working on the clock. Please leave the same way you came in." You said your voice never wavering. You couldn't allow her back in. Not just because of what she did to you, but also due to what you did on your free time. Being Spidergirl had its sacrifices. Huge sacrifices. You had no friends. No love life....No family left. No one to put in danger. Not after losing Aunt May. You wouldn't allow
Your self to get attached only to lose them.
Aunt May's death was your fault.
"Y/n I know you're hurt, you have every right to be. But if you would just allow me to explain my-Mrs.Dimitrescu, is that still your last name? I'm busy. There's nothing to talk about. Now please. Leave me alone."
Alcina stood there with barely concealed tears as she looked at the back of your head. She didn't know what she was going to expect but it's wasn't this. She was foolish to think that you would hear her out. The hurt in your eyes when they first laid on her. You had not been surprised to see her. Meaning you had already known she was in town.
She wasn't going to give up.
She'd be damned.
*
After a long day at the lab you finally clocked out. Leaving the building the regular way and not the window. The city was quiet petty crimes, crimes that police could handle. So you had continued your work on your project. Deciding to ignore the little encounter with Alcina. You could ignore it, till it really was the only thing you could think of. Pushing it to the back of your mind.
"Y/n."
So much for pushing it to the back of your mind. You tried to ignore the voice. The voice that still sent shivers down your spine. After all these years. The love you had for her was still there.
"Y/n please. Just give me ten minutes of your time."
"Well I wasn't even worth that much to you. Not a call, text, nothing. So why would I give you ten minutes of my time. I don't want to talk Alcina. Not now. Not ever. You moved on. I moved on. The end. There's nothing to talk about." You were bitter. But you were also doing what needed to be done. She had kids. Children that needed her. Being in your life would only bring danger and pain to her. And you didn't want that.
"Go back to pretending I don't exist. You're good at doing that." With that you walked away. Trying your best to ignore the heart broken look she casted your way. You were doing this for her. To keep her safe.
*
Alcina had cried a few times. She cried when you both were only thirteen and you had fallen off a tree and broken your arm after returning a baby bird back to its nest. She cried when you first confessed your love to her at the age of fifteen. She cried when you first said I love you. She cried and cried when she was forced out of her home by her father without much as a say. Cried she was forced to leave you with no chance of a goodbye. Cried when she was forced to marry a random man. Cried when she had to bare his children.
Now she was crying for the love she truly lost. You didn't even want to see her. The closed off look in your eyes was hard to miss. She knew she broke your trust. Broke your heart. But you had always been one to give someone at least a chance to explain.
"Mother told me how you know Y/n." Karl saw the heart ache in his sisters eyes when she got home. He always knew his father was greedy selfish bastard. He had left his father's side the moment he turned eighteen. Refusing to ever see that man. The moment he left. He never saw him again. Didn't even bother going to his funeral when the old man died a year ago. He had helped Alcina get out of the marriage she had been forced in. That man had not been a good husband and even worse dad to his nieces. He had done a few things to that man to make him sign the divorce papers and give up his rights as the father to the girls.
He would have never thought that the kid, sweet, shy Y/n had his sister like this.
"What's it to you Karl?" She drank her wine as she looked out her window in her office at home.
"Y/n's closed off Alcina. She keeps everyone at arms length and there's a reason for that." He sat back in his chair. Remembering what happened.
Alcina turned her chair back to Karl. "What do you mean?" The worry clear in her voice.
"A year ago, during those attacks by that crazed doctor. He attacked a F.E.A.S.T center. a center Y/n's aunt was in, so was Y/n. Aunt May didn't make it. Y/n was lucky to have survived. And a few others but Aunt May...She's been alone for the past year. She hardly talks to anyone. Barely talks to me. And she has no friends no living family relatives."
Alcina took everything in. Her heart breaking for you. "Wait, what about her uncle?"
"Oh he was killed in a store robbery, four years ago."
Alcina felt her heart break even more. You were alone. Spent the past almost five years alone. It was no wonder you were so closed off. Everyone left you, given aunt may and uncle Ben weren't by choice. It hadn't been her choice either. But you didn't know that.
She needed to fix this.
*
You sat on the cold floor, fresh flowers sat in front of the two grave stones. Never had you felt so alone. You missed your uncle and aunt like crazy. Wishing on every star you could have one more moment with them. You wished you could hear your uncle and aunt give you the advice you so desperately needed.
You didn't notice you were crying till you felt the familiar warm arms wrap themselves around your shoulders bringing your back close to her chest. Causing you to cry even more. Everything rushing out. The hold on you grew tighter.
"I'm sorry draga. Words could not express how sorry I am."
Her voice was right by your ear. Soft and gentle words ringing in your ears. Her voice always tended to calm you down. You moved to get out of her hold but you felt her tighten her hold.
"Please don't. Don't go. Not without letting me explain what happened. Please let me explain and then you can go, I won't stop you."
With a sigh, you gave a slight nod. You didn't realize how much you missed being in her arms. Her hugs had always been so warm.
"I was taken from my home by my father. He had forced me and my mother along with my siblings out and took us back to Romania in the same night. If I had a choice I would have stayed. I would have gone to you. He made me leave everything. I wasn't even able to pack a bag. My father forced me to marry this filthy man thing, I had no choice. It took me too long to get out of that situation. It helped that my sorry excuse of a father died of a sudden heart attack last year. Divorced my husband the same day with the help of Karl."
You took everything in. You didn't know much of her father onto that he had separated from mother Miranda when her Donna was a baby. Donna was the youngest out of the four of them.
Finally gathering yourself you pulled away from her embrace, standing up as you also helped her up. You cleared your throat as you looked down at your joined hands. The hand that once had an engagement ring along with a wedding ring was now bare. You couldn't. You can't.
So you let go of her hand. "I'm sorry you had to go through that Alcina. It's terrible. I'm..." You weren't sure what you were supposed to say. You felt horrible for what she went through. You love alcina with all your heart. She was the only woman you ever really loved. But the fear of her being put in danger just by talking to you was enough to put halt to anything. You let out a deep breath.
Hands gently cupped your face making you look into her beautiful blue eyes. Those eyes that looked at you like you were both still seventeen. Making you feel even more guilty. "I still love you Y/n. More than anyone. I've never stopped. You have always been my other half."
You pulled away from her, "I'm sorry. I—I don't love you anymore. I've moved on. This is goodbye." You didn't give her a chance to speak. You turned and walked away. You would rather be alone than to put her in danger.
She has kids to think about.
*
Being Spider girl could not be harder at times like this. It has been a week since you last spoke to Alcina. Taking the the long awaited vacation time you saved up. With the approval of Karl of course. He had always said you deserved a break. And this time you actually listened.
With no worry about your actual paying job you focused more on being Spidergirl. It was hard. You could wipe the heart break on Alcina's face.
It was the right thing to do.
"All units, prisoners form the raft are on the loose. Reports of Electro, Rhino, Scorpion, Vulture, Martin are on the loose."
With that, you were back to work. Moving quickly towards the raft. You had stopped them before. So doing it now should be a cake walk.
*
It was in fact not a cake walk. Never did you have to face five of your arch enemies at the same time. Your body hurt. You were bruising in places you couldn't see. Bloodied. Most of your suit was torn. But thankfully your mask was still in tact. You were able to stop rhino. Thankfully. Scorpion and Vulture were a bit more difficult cause they had decided to work together. But with your own powers and smartness you stopped them as well. Electro, you threw his ass in the water and placing a power dampener around his neck, you were the only one that would be able to take it off.
Martin had escaped the moment he had the chance.
"Can you hear me Spidergirl."
The chilling voice of your old friend Otto Octavius. His voice sounding throughout your mask.
"You can hear me. I have something of yours. Why don't you meet me. Meet me where it all began."
*
Your mind raced, trying to figure out what he could possibly have. The old building where you used to work for a brief time before your internship with Heisenberg. Otto was an old friend. Someone who gave you a shot. But he had been so driven by revenge.
The building was empty, there was no signs of anyone being in the building. When your Spidey senses went off you dodged the mechanical arm that shot your way. You fought fast and hard. But these tentacle arms were faster and stronger. They were clearly upgraded as well.
"Oh now spider, what's wrong? Have you been slacking since the last time I saw you.?" His arms held down your body holding it tightly preventing you from moving.
"Otto, this isn't who yo-Shut up, don't you ever get tired of repeating the same thing every single time. Now look who I have here. Our guest."
One arm moved to turn on the lights, your heart halting at who you saw tied to a chair. Mouth covered with tape. "Let her go! She has nothi-That's where you're wrong."
Alcina didn't know what was going on, why she was here. She had remembered leaving Karl's building feeling dejected. He had informed her that you had taken a temporary vacation. She couldn't just let you go. Not when you were clearly suffering. She could see it your eyes. Your eyes never lied, and you were in clear pain. She'll make it right. But before she could get to her car she had been taken.
Now she was here watching this old man fighting with Spidergirl. The frightening thought that the girl behind that mask was you was pushed back to the front of her mind. Seeing Spidergirl get punched and kicked down. The suit had been torn and ripped when she had arrived.
"She has everything to do with this. Due to the fact that you care about her. Ugh why don't we just show her so she understands."
The mask was torn off Spidergirl. The familiar y/hc hair flowed down her face as Spidergirl tried to hide her face.
"Don't be shy now." Otto grabbed a fist full of hair forcefully pulling your head back. You heard the muffled gasp. You looked into the blue eyes they held so much concern and anger. You weren't sure if that anger was directed at you or Otto.
"Y/n here has tired very hard to keep her identity a secret. Tried hard not to trust the wrong person. What did that cost you last time y/n? Aunt May? How is she?"
You tried hard to escape the arms but they only tightened. Making it hard for you to breathe. Your eyes burned with tears, "oh are you gonna cry? Your friend here hasn't been in the city for a month and her daughter has already been kidnapped. Why you may ask? Well let me answer. You! It's always your fault Y/n. That's why everyone leaves you."
Alcina succeeded in cutting the rope trying her hands together. Mentally thanking Karl for the small knife in her bracelet. She didn't know how to help you, but she needed to make sure you didn't believe the words coming from that psychopath. She saw the bright light behind the man's neck. She could take good guess that, that was what controlled the arms.
With how distracted the ex doctor was, it was a lot easier to sneak up to the doctor.
You tried to not look at Alcina. To not give her away as Otto kept on talking. You tried to keep his attention on you. Including his arms.
"It was your fault Otto. Heisenberg Industries did everything you couldn't do. Save lives. Change lives. You were too...pathetic. Too weak to take the chances you had." One of the arms wrapped around your neck. One arm was still wrapped around your body as his two other arms held him up.
With all his attention on you, it was enough for Alcina to sneak up behind him.
"You dare disrespect me Y/LN!!?" He had become red in face from how angry he was. His arm tighten around your chest. A silent chocked yell of pain. You felt two of your ribs cracking. "After everything you-No!" You fell hard to the ground along with Otto. His four arms also making him useless with the chip not working.
Alcina was quick to punch the old man and living him unconscious. Rushing to you when she heard you groan. "Y/n! You have to stay still." Your face was covered in scratches, blood and already forming bruises. Your suit was torn, parts of your body were just as cut and bruised. She had been forced to watch how Spidergirl had been brutally beaten by those villains. To now know for certain that it was her Y/n. You under that mask...seeing your eyes refusing to look at her, but she could always read you well. Those y/ec eyes that were red from being chocked but also red from holding in tears.
"You have to go." You bit your lip in pain as you moved to stand up. Refusing to look at her. You tried pushing away her hands as you painfully picked up your mask. Putting it back on as it still did its job at keeping your identity a secret.
You thanked the gods above as the cops stormed the building. "Spidergirl, thank you for the help, we got it from here." Not letting Alcina get to you as you were soon leaving alcina in the safety of the police officers. Otto being taken by the swat team.
*
You were in a great amount of pain. You were in your underwear and sports bra, trying your best to clean your wounds up. But you couldn't. You couldn't reach the wound on your back, you were on floor of your bathroom with a first aid kit open. The supplies scattered on the floor.
Alcina now knew your deepest secret. She hadn't been back for a month and she now knew. You remembered the look on her face when Otto had taken off your mask. The shock, disbelief in her eyes. You had looked away the moment your eyes connected to her blue ones. You had tried so hard to make sure no one knew, Otto was the only one to know and look how that turned out. Otto had become a different person and got lucky in finding out.
You knew (or hoped at least) Alcina wasn't like that. Granted you haven't seen Alcina in years.
A sound coming from outside the bathroom caught your attention. You didn't have the energy to fight off anyone. The sound of heels clicked frantic, like the intruder was looking for something. You groaned as you tried to stand up, arms shaking. But it had been no use. Your arms had become completely jelly.
The door to the bathroom was pushed open.
*
Alcina had found her own way to find you. It had been easy, it was just her luck that you still lived in your aunt Mays home. The house had been just as the same as she last saw it, just with a few new additions to it. Thankfully you still hid the spare key in the flower pot.
Right after she had given her statement to the police officers she had left straight to you.
The house had its own little differences, but it still brought her the same warmth it did before. Pictures of aunt May and Uncle Ben still hung around the living room. She didn't have time to look at every single new picture that hung the walls. Not when the image of your being badly hurt was still fresh in her mind.
Your room had a bathroom connected to it. And her feet took her directly to the room she spent so many hours in. Finding the torn spider suit on the floor the blood droplets leading to the bathroom. Finding you on the floor of the bathroom, in only your undergarments. Bloody bandages scattered on the floor as first aid kit laid open.
She was quick to get to you. Ignoring your weak attempts to push her away. She had her own experience on bandaging up wounds. Being forced to marry a mafia boss, she had also been forced to help his friends when they were wounded.
Cleaning you up was slow, you had needed stitches on many of the deep cuts. "No, I'll heal. Just takes time." Your voice had sounded raspy, it was the first thing you've said to her since she's got here.
Her hands hovered over the deepest wound of them all the needle only inches away. "Are you current?"
A low groan escaped your lips, "yes, can you just cover it with a bandage." She did as you asked once she was completely finished she moved to help you up. Careful not to touch any of your wounds. She lead you back to your bed, helping you lay down.
"He was wrong, Y/n." She whispered. She knew you wouldn't believe her. But she had to try and she will continue to tell you till you believed her. "Aunt May wouldn't have left you if she was giving the choice. You know that. Same with Uncle Ben."
You felt your eyes fill with tears at the mention of aunt May. "I had the cure, the cure to fix her. But if she had taken it, there would have been more deaths. I was going to give it to her." You squeezed your eyes tight remembering clearly how weak your aunt had gotten. She had gotten weak so fast. "She didn't let me. Refused the cure. I let her die. It was my fault, she-Wouldn't want you to blame yourself. It wasn't your fault Y/n."
Her fingers gently ran through your hair. Something she had always done to help you center yourself. Feeling the moment your shoulders dropped as you silently cried. "I'll keep telling you till you accept it. I'm not leaving your side Y/n, no matter how hard you true to push me away. I'm here to stay."
Fear gripped your heart like never before. The fear of something happening to Alcina or her daughters. The guilt would be too much, it would-"Stop. I can take care of myself. I can hold my own."
She saw the conflict in your eyes. She couldn't imagine how lonely you had been, how you refused to let anyone in. In fear of being held responsible for the harm one might go through. In fear of the guilt growing.
"I'm not leaving your side, that's a promise."
*
When you woke the next morning, it the ache and soreness in your muscles had doubled before they could lower. It was a pain you were used to. The room was empty but you could faintly hear noises down stairs. The memory of alcina being in your house was pushed to the front of your mind.
Her promise to never leave your side.
Getting up from your bed had been bit of a struggle. Your bathroom had been cleaned the bandages. The blood that once stained the tiles cleaned, the bathroom no longer looking like their had been a small blood bath. You made slow work in freshening up. You felt your body releasing its tension as you showered.
The healing process was always different, after long fights especially a fight with a bad guy with enhanced suits or sometimes powers. Healing always last up to a day. Most of the scratches you had healed but deeper wounds were still there and painful. Bruises were slowly fading.
Stepping out of your bathroom into your room once clothes in loose t shirt and a pair of shorts. To see Alcina coming into the same room with a tray of food.
"Oh you're awake. You should have let me help you." Alcina had gotten up early to cook you some food, you had been deeply asleep. Your wounds had slowly healed. She had been amazed how your smaller not so deep cuts had already healed. The bruises had slowly faded. But the more severe wounds had seemed to take a bit longer.
With Alcina quick to your side, you had let her help you. Leading you down to the kitchen. "You didn't have to stay Alcina. You have bigger responsibilities n—Stop. My mother is taking care of my little girls. I'm where I'm supposed to be."
Alcina had a lot to prove. Prove to you that she wouldn't leave your side. That no matter what happened, her place was to be by your side.

Finished watching Dead Boy Detectives. Here are my honest thoughts.
-If you're going into it expecting another Good Omens, stop. Our protagonists are all minors. Teenagers. They cuss, they have total dirty mouths and sexual humor, but they are not eternal beings pretending to be middle aged men. They're ghosts. Dead Boys, if you will. Also this might be a stretch, but I'm assuming from the slightly less good CGI that the budget for this series was a LOT less than what it was for GO
-Edwin is kind of a dick in the first episode. But it's okay. Because character growth is swag.
-REALISTIC CHARACTER GROWTH!!! I liked Edwin a LOT more during the second episode BECAUSE of the character growth. And honestly? It's completely natural that bro is more than a little prickly after only being able to trust one guy for an extremely long time. Fair enough my guy. Carry on.
- this show kinda has Nimona vibes. If that makes sense. Witty humor, somewhat sexual dialogue, funny moments during serious times, though geared towards a younger audience. If you like those kinds of things, you will like this, I'm sure of it.
- In the early episodes, the pacing/character relationships feel a little off??? I'm not sure if that was because I was expecting another Good Omens or what. But after 2-3 episodes, the dust quickly settled and we got into the actual storyline. Which was extremely appreciated✨
-these villains are FUCKED up. I'm telling you. They are HORRIFIC. Had me squirming and cringing through their intense scenes. And gosh. That was a TRIP.
-TY TENANT PLAYS THE MAIN GUY EDWIN!!!! And he plays him WELL. I did not realize this going in to the show and thought his face was VERY familiar. Only after I looked it up did I realize why. He's our sassy son of Job. (EDIT: turns out Ty plays the Doom Patrol version. Not the one on Netflix. My bad! They do look pretty similar though, so ykw. Great casting. Also my point still stands. This guy is a pretty fuckin awesome actor. 10/10)
-Cat King is such a wild card holy SHIT.
-Charles is cute as fuck. His backstory HURTS. But also. I love the way his ears look. Like in the pictures that I saw of him they were of when the Cat King impersonated him so I was like oh chill. So he's got pointed ears bc feline but NOPE. He's just like that!! And honestly? Slay. I fuckin love it.
-oh did I mention tragic backstories???? Yeah we got those :D for everyone :D
-Niko is the best and I love her. Also I love how the letters on her desk are written in Japanese. That is a VERY nice touch of character building.
-hot butcher lady with throat tattoo
All in all. A truly delightful series and I genuinely hope it gets another season because I NEED to know what happens next. My little sister LOVED it and the ending had us all staring open mouthed at the TV screen in shock.
This 15yo girl is literally ranting my ear off, having adventures with the Dead Boys in her dreams and chatting with me about it, searching up fanfics and drawing fanart, the whole shabang. And it is DIFFICULT for this girl to get into shows like this. So honestly? This is perfect. Thank you, Neil. For giving us a whole other banger.
That being said. If anybody else has some younger siblings that are around 15-17 and are looking for shows to binge watch together, this is the perfect one. I'm telling you, you will NOT regret it (except maybe emotionally)
Thoroughly recommend.

Hmmm…
Looking at your fandoms, I can’t help but think some sort of Bingqiu in Spy X Family (or a SxF Xianxia fusion) could be super fun!
The question is… what would their roles be.
Assassin Luo Binghe, or spy Luo Binghe… and which of them gets gender swapped. 🤔
Oh!! Maybe Shen Yuan was meant to be an ally of the female half of the main duo, Liu Mingyan, but through shenanigans he somehow ends up with her role instead, and the System demands he fake marry Binghe anyway. 😂
This is exactly the kind of prompt i was hoping for! TY!!! 🙏
The way i see it Binghe would definitely be the assassin, Shen Yuan is too big of a softie not to mention one who so easily put on the mask of another man before so he would definitely be the spy.
But also being oblivious to feelings yet a capable badass, bad in the kitchen, feeling inadequate as a partner? All Shen Yuan. Binghe with his protagonist Halo meanwhile would fit better with Mr. All around perfect Husband. So i guess it'd be a little like Yor and Loyd had switched professions.
Shen Yuan's over protective brother in a position of power? I wonder who that would be? Enter Shen Jiu haha. Rather than secret police he'd be a detective looking in to all the murders rather than keeping state secrets from spies though. To keep that rivalry between him Binghe. The family member Binghe became an assassin to provide for? His mom. The gardener AKA the guy who hired him and hands him his missions? Meng Mo. Franky, the spy's funny informant and gadget supplier, occasional babysitter and not to mention bestfriend? Shang Qinghua.
I dont know if i should replace Fiona with Liu Quinge as Fiona's character really would fit Binghe better. But Liushen is a weakness of mine even if onesided and those two were just made for coworker romances. Maybe I should give Binge someone trying to woe him too? Sha hualing? Then if i dont go with your other idea of having SY transmigrate in to Liu Mingyan (which i am saving up in my head because i absolutely love the idea) then i can add something in the background with her and Sha hualing. I'm positive i could find a way to write in Mobei for SQH or i could go with Scumplane and have him end up Shen Jiu and actually yeah that would work, need to distract SJ long enough for Bingyuan to get it on afterall. Oh what about SQH x SJ x LQG? Or should Shen Yuan get a second husbandafterall? Alternatively imagine LQG crying over a bowl of icecream.
Next question is if SY didnt transmigrate into LMY then who is he? What about Ning Yingying? Who could be SJ's little sister in this world? Or he couldve just been put in there as a female version of himself. Or like it was with Shen quingiu a character who vaguely resembles him and has a similar name. She just happens to be a woman though. Or maybe go with the mulan aproach and have him crossdress? But then how does he explain to his brother that he's suddenly - he could say that he's in love with binghe and the only way to marry him was fake his papers to pretend to be a woman since queer marriage isnt yet allowed in their fictional country. Like no one cares if they date its just they havent gotten to the legalisation of marriage yet. And if SJ asks why they had to get married so suddenly anyway (cuz no way in hell is SY getting away with saying he forgot to tell him for a year) he could say that they had to so they could adopt their daughter. Who in this case scenario could be Ning Yingying, should she still have Anyas powers? damian could be Ming fan or the little palace girl or whatever (im not yet far enough in the books to now her and the old man that well so id have to check the wiki) and i could make the palace master donovan desmond and have SY and LBH team up to take him down in the end.
Anyways yeah these are just some ideas, and again thanks for the prompt! I can't wait to write this! Maybe i'll draw something for it later too. ❤️

tell me about netuno!!! 4, 6, 11, 22, 29 !!!!
HI THANK YEW FOR ASKING... <3 (and sorry this took me a bit to get to, been busy these past days!) Netuno is a shared OC with @graveys-art-blog so I talked all these questions out w him for these answers!! and have some doodles too bc i love netuno to bits. the daughter ever.
What’s a hobby they used to have that they miss?
Being raised with a loving and healthy support system in Quiro's castle, Netuno never really had to sacrifice any of her hobbies. If there was something she wanted to try out, her family and loved ones were quick to give her the tools to explore it. That said though, she does still miss certain activities from her childhood out of nostalgia. When she and Ursa (her older brother figure and another shared OC between Grave and I) were younger, they'd have tea parties and create fantastical worlds and stories the way children do. As they grew up that bonding activity between them didn't exactly fizzle out persay, but rather evolved into them helping out the castle theater troupe (Ursa as an actor, and Netuno as a stagehand)! They still love to share in the act of storytelling with each other, though it's just a little different now!
What’s their favorite [insert anything] that they’ve never recommended to anyone before?
Netuno is an avid reader of sapphic romance books, especially those others would consider "trashy". But they're self-indulgent and her favorite so leave her alone!! She'd particularly enjoy those with dark fantasy elements to it. She loves her bitches bad and her yuri doomed and paranormal.
If someone was impersonating them, what would friends / family ask or do to tell the difference?
I'll also put separate answers for them below, but Vitor (Grave's OC), Ursa (another shared OC of ours), and Eri (this one's just mine LMAO) all have a strong "magic sense", which means they're able to easily pick up on the presence of magic in the environment. Tying in with her creepy girl swag, Netuno has a very specific "magic fingerprint" or vibe persay that the three of them can detect and recognize as her. Vitor would rely on this especially since it played a big role in him adopting her :) So everything else below is just what other methods the three would individually use to tell Netuno apart from an impersonator!
According to Grave, Vitor would ask Netuno to cast magic or use some of her "wishmaking" sorcery to help him deal with the drawbacks of his own. Vitor tends to suffer from bouts of headaches and temporary short-term memory loss (and other similar mental pains) when he overdoes it with his own magic, and the real Netuno would know how to help him ease or alleviate the pain. And I don't think there's anyone who could 'copy' someone's sorcery like that so it'd be a dead giveaway!
Since Ursa has been Netuno's best friend since forever AND been with her since she was a wee baby, he knows her like the back of his hand. He's always been sensitive to even the smallest changes in her behavior because he's always looked out for and protected her, so he'd easily be able to tell her apart from someone impersonating her just from the way she'd walk or get his attention. He's a smart guy as silly as he is!
One thing Eri and Netuno bond over is their shared love for bugs and insects and NO one else matches their freak like they do. Eri could throw out some questions about a crawlie that'd stump anyone else, but that Netuno could answer without batting her big blue eyes. The two of them are very alike in a lot of ways, so Eri could tell if something was off.
What simple activity that most people do / can do scares your character?
Public speaking. As cold and composed as she looks she's truly still just a shy lil bug. She has a soft and calm voice and has very mild expressions so she'd struggle to talk to a large group of people.
How do they respond when someone doesn’t believe them?
Netuno's a bit used to people not believing her outright. Those who watched her grow up know she had a reputation of being a ominous weird little girl that said strange things and understood the world differently from others. Because of that, some people would chalk up the things she said as just the weird thoughts kids liked to blurt out, which frustrated her because why don't you get her!! It all makes sense to her!!!! As an adult though, she's learned her way of speaking concisely with the fewest words necessary to get her point across can be confusing. If someone expressed disbelief or skepticism in something she said, she'd pause and stare at the person for a moment (which can come off as judgemental but she just. has big beautiful eyes <3) before retracing her steps to reexplain the point they doubted.

im writing a full smpronpa review because honestly that fic kinda changed my brain chemistry. this will be bullet point format as i am lazy
okay, so disclaimer- i havent seen smplive so i cant talk about those streamers characterizations. HOWEVER, i had a 3 year long derange danganronpa phase and have been abnormal about technoblade since 2017 so i do consider myself a bit of an expert on those aspects. oh also im taking the poke route and replacing that guy with yahi 👍
- gettin the techno things outta the way. first off, really likes his characterization and how it didnt fall into the trap of “overly bloodthirsty and unemotional” technoblade while still keeping his hitman status from tekkitlive i believe? and his deadpan demeaner. A+
- on the negative side, i will never get forgive the author for missing out his speech quirks like dropping the “g” at the end of words or constant use of “bruh”. additionally, plotwise, i feel like technoblade as the hitman sent after schlatt and co was disregarded a bit too quickly? and also came off as weird considering no one was meant to have any memories?? like why did schlatt and co and techno remember that part??? idk that just confused me but its danganronpa so whatevs
- the talents. they didnt.. feel like they had much of a purpose? like they didnt feel like they added much to the characterization, but that does add something interesting to the fact that the talents were a fake concept all along so i will not say if this was good or bad and will leave it up to you
- speaking of, was there a reason we never found out ty or travis’ talents? like they died and we just never found out what they were or why we didnt know. like. that confused me
- on the OTHER hand. the fake talents imply that yahi made HIMSELF the ultimate comedian which is objectively hilarious. big obama giving obama a medal energy
- poke. girl they did so little with him that i REGULARLY forgot he was there. bro just do SOMETHING with him. however, this is also a classic danganronpa experience so i will accept it
- the third trial kinda went crazy. i liked the twist on two victims to instead be two killers. genuinely an interesting version of the third chapter, and ryan was like.. a weirdly compelling character, especially after that trial
- half of the end twists were just straight ridiculous. im not.. really a fan of the “it was joko actually it was yahi actually it was cooper” thing, but its very sdr2 core so tbh thats fair. on the other hand, what in the world exactly happened to joko????? like he was at the final trial for like a Minute but he was dead beforehand in the flashbacks???? was he a robot????????? im so confused
- also, what was the purpose of charlie fakin his death? once again, very danganronpa of them but fundamentally kinda weird and unnecessary. i understand the in universe explanation but like.. out of universe why was that decision made?
- i would like the give the author massive kudos for the actual murders and trials. as someone who has participated in and even RAN danganronpa fangame rps, that shits HARD. it was pretty well done! not perfect, and some parts were hard to follow but i have ABSOLUTELY seen worse
- i also started really liking angel as a character. i liked the choice to have her actually be a detective lying about her “ultimate” and she felt very genuine and interesting. schlatt also came across as a pretty interesting antagonist with canon-typical confusing motives
- also whatever the fuck joko and cooper had going was gay as HELL. like idk what was up but it was deeply homosexual
- i also liked the way the ending had a sort of commentary on fan culture and the increasing escalation of entertainment for the cruel enjoyment of the masses. very yugioh arc v z-arc core for the like two people who get that reference. im not entirely sure on how WELL it was executed especially within the wider context, but i still found it interesting
thats the general review! ill update this if i realize i forgot stuff but all in all thats what i wanted to say

June Comics Round Up
Successfully made it through the 80s!!!! There's a bunch so the reactions will be short and sweet.
Green Arrow (17-28) (1989-1990)
Its good!! Morgan showing up in 28 was really fucking funny, too.
Detective Comics (594-611) (1988-1990)
Carrying over from the previous year of having no Jason mentions, there is the absolute minimum fallout from his death in this run, which honestly sucks.
Batman (426-442) (1988-1990)
Death in the Family through A Place of Lonely Dying, absolute classic time, tho I have so so many issues with DitF. It has such a big impact with Jason's death that the surrounding racist Joker bullshit is given a pass. Jim Starlin is my enemy.
Catwoman (1-4) (1989)
This was awesome!! Direct sequel to batman year 1 centering Selina and fixing so much of frank miller's misogynistic bullshit.
The Huntress (1-19) (1989-1990)
This was so good and the art is so neat. My main gripe is still how isolated it is. Deffo makes it seem like Helena is not part of the larger dc world. The little sequel (Justice League Special #2) does a really good job of tying the solo back into the larger world.
Deadman: Love After Death (1-2) (1989)
A neat little story. The art is extremely stylised and I'm a huge fan.
Secret Origins (39~46) (1989)
Catching up on more backstories.
Flash (21-34) (1989-1990)
Wally has grown so much in so little time! Also him making pals with Fidel Castro is everything to me. Linda is sort of a bitch and I love that for her.
Suicide Squad (23-36) (1989-1990)
Janus Directive was a pretty good little event, but more importantly ORACLE!!!!!
Checkmate (11-32) (1989-1991)
Still can't believe that Harvey Bullock is a high-up in this secret government spy organization, how did that even happen??? A sort of mid comic overall but is pretty important for suicide squad
Peacemaker (1-4) (1987)
Chris kept showing up in Checkmate and referencing this mini so I went ahead and read it. This man is not okay y'all.
Manhunter (1-24) (1988-1990)
I will be honest I broke down and read this because in the Janus Directive issue he had contact with Oracle. It is pretty good tho!!
Hawk & Dove (1-5) (1988)
Read it because I was curious about the new Dove, and I love her so much.
Batman - Dark Knight Returns/Strikes Again (1-4)(1-3) (1986)(2001)
BAD (except Carrie ilu girl) (why'd they make u catgirl in the second one??)
Captain Atom (24-36) (1989-1990)
A solid story, excited to finish it up and see what happens with Adam's daughter
Firestorm the Nuclear Man (80-100) (1989-1990)
I'm sorta sad about the elemental direction that this goes. It defeats the whole purpose of the Nuclear Man. They've been consistently depowering him as time goes on and this seems like the last nail in the coffin. The Nuclear powers were so cool and different! Changing that to another guy with fire powers is just disappointing.
Doom Patrol (17-29) (1989-1990)
Grant Morrison picked this up and dang it got very cool very fast. Jane i love all 70 of u!
Animal Man (6-23) (1989-1990)
This got So Cool and meta holy shit talk about your direct coie references and forth wall breaking. I honestly was Not expecting what happened to his family tho. Hugely recommend.
Starman (5-18) (1989-1990)
I really like Will he's a total sweetheart. And it's nice to have Bats and Supes show up and encourage and approve of new heros.
Wonder Woman (25-57) (1989-1991)
Barbara Minerva ur a legend. Also got to meet the Amazon's of Bana-Mighdall which was fun. I really like how much of a little brat Vanessa is, she feels just like a real middle schooler.
New Gods (1-28) (1989-1991)
Starts off with Jim Starlin (my enemy) teaming up with Mark Evanier to have Orion commit genocide in the first five issues. It can only go up from there because it hit rock bottom. Some interesting talk of the fixed nature's of the gods of new genesis and apokolips that I did like.
Mister Miracle (1-28) (1989-1991)
V. Funny. I love how Scott is 90% of Barda's impulse control. Also Shilo came back!! Best boy Shilo studying physics as his side gig from escape artistry!
Justice League International/Justice League America (22-50) (1989-1991)
I enjoy having the justice league titles as humor comics, but I wish that it didn't come with a sincerity allergy. You can be funny and sincere i prommy! It got close at Scott's funeral, which was nice to see tho.
Justice League Europe (1-25) (1989-1991)
Crimson Fox is super interesting, she is doing some wildly deranged shit I love them.
Martian Manhunter (1-4) (1988)
I'm generally not a fan of things that are like: everything u thought u knew about urself is a lie, this is the actual truth of u and ur culture. It's such an extreme way to do a retcon that it gets really clumsy really easy. This is an example of a good way to do it, with added totally gorgeous art. I recommend it.
Hawk & Dove (1-13) (1989-1990)
Dove is everything to me, I love her as much as I can't fucking stand Hawk holy shit that guys an asshole. Luckily the narrative agrees.
No bonus round this time I am falling so behind on the Konmic's club readings TT-TT
#very excited to be out of the 80s (<- guy who's gonna jump back to the 60s soon)#gonna get everything equivalent with war of the gods 91 and then jump back#nik reads dc#monthly roundup

Toni Gayle is an unlikely dominant female comics character. She made her living as a model and part-time actress but also spent much of her time as a private detective. Despite having aspirations to become a policewoman, Toni was steered away from such unladylike thoughts into the more feminine career choices mentioned above by her father, Gregory Gayle, himself the owner of a private detective agency. When he is gunned down and seriously injured by vengeance-seeking mobsters, Toni vows to bring her dad’s assailant, a monstrous thug known as The Ape, to justice. When Toni single-handedly captures the Ape, she is sufficiently encouraged to re-open her father’s agency with herself as investigating private eye. Equipping herself with a reformed gangster called Biff Muggson as bodyguard, Toni gets involved in all sorts of implausible adventures as she cracks various cases, all while maintaining her modelling career. Although frequently requiring Biff’s intervention to get her out of scrapes, Toni is well capable of outwitting and overpowering the bad guys herself. This ability is on display in the page above where Toni not only overcomes the villain Pierre by turning his art protection sheet against him and tying him up in it, but extracts a confession from the demoralised and defeated sculptor into the bargain. This in itself brings the criminal mastermind into the open, whom she also apprehends, but this time with the help of Biff.
Toni first appeared in Young King Cole Comics in 1945, featuring in eighteen adventures in that title. She also appeared briefly in Guns Against Gangsters and 4Most Comics all published by Star Publications, a run of 41 appearances in all. With the advent of the 1950s, comics reflected the changing role models for girls back to more conservative norms, after the explosion of tough female characters in the war years. So it was that Toni became Toni Gay and began to feature in the School Day Romances and Popular Teenagers titles that took Toni out of the detective business and back to High School. She was always a light hearted heroine, but in this new incarnation, Toni became just another ditzy, boyfriend-obsessed, cartoony airhead. A real shame.
The writers of Toni’s adventures are not known, but much of her artwork was by Janice Valleau.

SAW IV (2007)
SAW IV fills in a lot of backstory as to why John became Jigsaw (we give the introduction after they have left the building, as with PEARL), we even meet his ex-wife! This movie certainly pulls from the previous films [I, II, & III] so if you haven’t seen those I am not sure how well this will track (even with all the flashbacks). There are a lot of little loose ends that get tied up but inevitably they create more ends that need tying (thank goodness for more sequels!).
(Trigger Warning Suicide, Rape)
⭐⭐⭐⭐
If I thought the previous film made me squirmy, the intro scene for SAW IV takes the cake. Watching our good friend John Kramer lifeless on a table and being dug into (when there probably isn’t even a key inside of him!) is sickening. But there was a tape in him! So it all worked out in the end (and I was able to eat my cheese stick after the autopsy scene was over). This movie features bad people getting things coming to them which is what is usually so good about SAW in the first place. Two of the people who were chosen to bleed were a rapist and a child abuser and it was very nice to see them suffer!
I FIGURED OUT WHY HOFFMAN always freaked me out and it took a word from this decade. Mewing. Detective Hoffman is a mewer and that is why he always freaked me out but I didn’t have a word for it until now (the killing didn’t bug me at all, I guess). The actor looks like a normal man but Hoffman is straight up altering his face structure (some Stephen King IF IT BLEEDS type shit). Hoffman might be off hoffing a man, but he's going to look damn good doing it (huh?). Anyway, Hoff is sketchy all movie even when he is tied up and a “victim.”
Our main man is Rigg and he has a problem with wanting to save everyone (except his marriage, am I right, ladies?) so Jigsaw selects him for the player of the game and the pawn this time around is Donnie Wahlberg again! Technically Hoffman is there too but he isn’t so much a pawn, and there is also a lawyer there but he is more of a witness than a pawn. ANYWAY. Rigg is meant to save people by not saving them which is very hard for an action boy to do (total opposite of the main guy from SAW III). He ends up having to fend off one of the girls he saves because she tries to kill him! Sad! Then he finds a creepy rapist and becomes a little mini Jigsaw by making the rapist strap into a device that real Jigsaw made! Wild! Next onto a lady who let her husband die which was honestly so slay of her since he BEAT HER AND THEIR KID. (UGH!) She is the only one who escapes and is relatively happy (free divorce!).
Finally Rigg gets to the last door and is told not to open it, so he promptly rushes in the room… We love a man who cannot follow simple instructions, when he opens the door he ends up getting two of the three people inside killed (whoops!). These events all took place at the same time as SAW III (except the very beginning autopsy, that was really at the end, it is a trip) and during Rigg’s time in the trials a pair of agents are trying desperately to uncover who is helping Jigsaw. We get a ton of backstory from John’s ex-wife and it turns out she ran a free clinic and a violent patient caused her to lose her baby so that is what made John-o go bad. Now things make a little more sense but John is for sure dead so the question is how are things going to continue?

Little story time about Invader Zim
The year was 2011. Little me had just turned nine, and I had finally earned the coveted reward of having a TV in my room. I was beyond thrilled, a very happy camper. I turned it on, eager to watch my favorite channel, Nickelodeon, during prime rerun time. Invader Zim was on. I had seen a few episodes before, but honestly, I hadn’t been too impressed. Still, the only alternative in my mind was Adult Swim, which I wasn’t allowed to watch, so I decided to give Zim another shot.
I ended up really enjoying the first episode I watched that night. The second one was great, too! But the third… I don’t remember the premise or the full setup, but it involved Zim somehow entering the body of a fat man to avoid detection. Detection from what? Don’t ask me. But the visual laid before my sweet, innocent nine-year-old eyes was horrifying. Scarring. Even now, I think about it sometimes when I’m trying to drift to sleep after a long day, and my stomach still churns. I’m not typically someone who’s bothered by much, but body horror... that’s the one thing that gets to me.
In a lot of ways, Invader Zim feels like an introduction to body horror, a “baby’s first.” Another episode stands out in my memory. I was maybe eleven at the time? The exact age isn’t important, but I was older, wiser, and more prepared to handle whatever this "baby" cartoon could throw at me. And then came the hotdog episode.
I don’t even remember the plot of that episode. All I recall is a girl eating a lot of hotdogs, and at one point, she bites into one, and I just... lost it. I threw up. I don’t even think it was particularly gross, but Invader Zim scarred me. To this day, I can barely look at a picture of the little green guy without my stomach tying itself into knots.
While writing this, I tried to look him up, just to find the episode number of that first traumatizing one for clarity’s sake, and I instantly regretted it. I didn’t even find the episode. Apparently, Invader Zim is known for a lot of gross-out humor, but that’s the thing—gross-out humor has never bothered me! So, what was it about Invader Zim that made it so deeply unsettling for me?
It lasted five years, so it couldn’t have been that bad for its intended age rating… right? So why do I remember it so vividly, and why does no one else seem to? Everyone I talk to about it seems to only have warm, fond memories of the show. Why?
#I should probably put a picture of him on the post but again... can't look at the fucker#invader zim#story time#tw throwing up#tw horror#tw body horror

“I Suggest You Surrender.”
Those words were like hammer blows into my chest. It wasn’t just the fact that Nancy Drew, “Girl Detective”, was standing nonchalantly on my very own stage, the coronet of Laura Farmer, the Homecoming Queen I had just ransomed back to her grateful family for a pretty penny, swinging in her hand. It wasn’t simply that the insouciant smile on Miss Drew’s girl-next-door pretty mouth meant she had discovered the offending article in my apartment, or even that I knew she was right - my crime was discovered, and I was caught. No, it was the fact that the little vixen was telling me I needed to surrender. Me - who had been arranging pageants before this absurd little amateur sleuth was even in kindergarten!
“Surrender? To you?” I replied, unable to keep the sneer from out of my voice. “It will go a lot easier for you if you come quietly, Mr Briggs.” the young woman replied simply. “I called the sheriff before confronting you: he will be here in twenty minutes.” I gazed in bitter frustration at my teenaged nemesis - taking in her dreary flat shoes, her conservative tan pantyhose and her sensible beltless grey dress. “You would never have won the Pageant, Miss Drew!” I told her somewhat pointlessly. “You are far too boring!” The girl laughed at that despite herself as my head dropped in defeat. “I think I had better tie you up, Mr Briggs,” she smiled at me happily, “just in case the sheriff is delayed, you see.” The girl removed the unsophisticated cloth band from her head, allowing her fair hair to tumble over her shoulders and then walked towards me. “Put your hands behind your back please, sir.” she told me. I glowered back at her miserably, but did as she instructed…
My interpretation of the cover to Pageant Perfect Crime, Nancy Drew Girl Detective #30 (June 2008); caption mine.

FEARDOTCOM (2002)
Wow, this one sucked. We start off with a dude running around during a rainstorm. He ends up in a subway tunnel and sees a ghostly little girl bouncing a ball, just like the ghost in “Kill, Baby, Kill” (1968). (Has no one else noticed this?) The girl seems to wander onto the tracks, and the man follows her, to save her, but then the subway runs him down!
This movie has not one, but two, killers:
A serial killer, called the Doctor. He was being hunted by the Detective. The Doctor would broadcast his kills on the internet. His first victim was a young woman, Jeannie.
Jeannie! Jeannie was tortured and killed by the doctor, and now her spirit possesses one of his websites, feardotcom.com! Yes, that is really the URL. If you visit the site, you will die in 48 hours!
This “film” follows Detective and Department of Health (DOH) Worker. The guy on the train tracks dies, and then some German couple dies, and then DOH Worker’s boss dies, and they all have the website, feardotcom.com, in common on their hard drives! The computer expert they use to discover this then visits the website, and she dies! The Detective views the website! And then DOH Worker views the website! It’s a bunch of early-2000s era grotesque computer graphics, quite similar in tone to "House on Haunted Hill" 1999), which is not surprising because these movies have the same director. Anyway, the protagonists begin to suffer from hallucinations.
DOH Worker reviews the old Doctor police files and finds the address for Jeannie. She visits and talks to Jeannie’s mother, who points to an old factory where little Jeannie played for some reason. DOH Worker goes there, and a blind homeless lady points her to a submerged section of the factory. DOH worker swims around and finds Jeannie’s body! They investigate the corpse and find her lipstick, into which she has stuffed a piece of paper with the Doctor’s address! Detective and DOH Worker head over and find a picture of the factory where the Doctor has his latest victim! (Their hallucinations have shown them images of the door to the factory building.)
They go to the industrial tower and find the Doctor, who is about to kill the young woman! Detective shoots the Doctor in the leg, but then the Doctor shoots Detective in the chest. The Doctor is tying DOH Worker into his death chair, but Detective grabs a computer keyboard and types in the URL for feardotcom.com. Jeannie is summoned. The Doctor’s spirit is sucked into a world of terror, and he dies. Then Detective dies. We finally see DOH Worker lying on her bed and petting her cat. The end.
This one wasn’t just meh. It’s actually bad. You can see plenty of influences here: “Seven” (1995), maybe “The Matrix” (1999), maybe “Pulse” (2001) and “Ring” (1998), but everything in this film is a mess. The plot is overly long and meandering. The acting isn’t terrible, but it’s dull and lifeless. The serial killer lacks charisma. I think they were aiming for a John Doe-esque killer, like in “Seven,” but utterly failed. Some of the visual design is competent. The computer graphics are smartly obscured via darkness, and the sets and props are decent. There are a few interesting images, but overall we suffer from a complete lack of sustained creepiness. This is a boring and forgettable movie.

displacedprincess:
Elena turned her eyes away from the twins for one second to kneel down and tie her shoe, and that was enough time for Lali to wander over to the first person she saw.
“Hi! I Lali!”
Elena sighed and cut tying her shoe short, standing up to wrangle her toddler in. “Lali, remember, we ask Mom first. Where’s your octopus?”
Elena looked around them, only to find Ocho missing yet again. Oh no… “You wouldn’t have happened to have seen a purple toy octopus, would you?”
.
Perry was trying to get out more. It felt like he was always sayign that but, today he was actually out and about at a reasonable time of day. After getting some work done this morning, he figured he’d go for a walk before his appointment late this afternoon, maybe swing by the comic barn and say hi to Al.
Now, he liked kids, Probably wasn’t that good with them and didn’t have a lot of experience, but he just thought they were great. Always so curious. So when he found a little octopus soft toy left abandoned under a tree, he figured there was no better mystery to solve, and was meandering the park looking for its owner.
Who, apparently, managed to find him first. Perry stopped, with the toy clutched behind his back, “Hi Lali.” He couldn’t remember if he’d ever actually had reason to stop and talk to Elena, but he knew of her, certainly. He gave her a nod, then tapped his nose conspiratorially, crouching down to talk to the little girl. “I heard some bad guys wanted to snatch up your octopus for some super top secret evil missions. But unfortunately for them, I’m way too good of a detective.” Perry revealed the toy with a bit of a flourish, and returned it to Lali. “You keep tight hold of that guy from now on, he’s gonna need you to keep him safe.”

Diluc Ragnvindr - Yandere Profile
Yall are so kind and I am so undeserving hhhhh
If you stand idly by that flower girl in Mondstadt her idle line is something like "All I can think about is Diluc" And honestly same
This man exudes bde I'm sorry I just... It is a known FACT that Diluc is packing and I refuse to believe otherwise, lord have mercy I'm bout to SIMP
tws: yandere, mentions of violence
tws (below cut): noncon, kinda misogynistic in 1 part
------
What are they generally like? Lucid, aware? Obsessive? How do they behave?
Acutely aware, and in the beginning, frustrated with his own self. He's very much a loner type of guy, and he likes it that way -- in his mind, people are distractions.
He doesn't talk to you too much, but you'll slowly and subtly notice his presence with increasing frequency. He hovers. Silent, but intimidating. He's always there, in the background. Somehow, everywhere you go, you can spot him somewhere if you try, and even if you don't see him, you know someone is watching you, from the skin crawling feeling of eyes on you. It will never go away, and it's easily enough to drive you to paranoia.
In reality, he'd like to talk, really, but he doesn't know how. For the first time in his life, he actually has the urge to speak with someone, not for his own desire to speak so much as speak with you- to learn about you, to hear your voice. But the poor thing has no idea what to say. He's used to just going about his day and only speaking to others when they need something from him.
When he does talk to you, he finds himself even enjoying the silliest and most trivial of things you say. Normally he hates small talk, and he's normally annoyed by anything outside of very serious matters, but even if you're raving about something he has no interest in, he's happy to listen just because it's you.
He's fairly aware, too. Not a delusional for the most part, and he's honestly a bit afraid of rejection - he knows he's not the most pleasant or charming person to be around, and certainly not the best conversationalist. He tries to make up for it in thinking that his money, status, and protective ability can be something he can use to draw you in, so he makes sure to subtly and frequently remind you of those things.
How likely are they to kidnap their darling? How quickly will they do so?
Eventually, it's inevitable. It will happen, it's just a matter of time. His reasoning is less about your fragility and safety, even if he pretends it is, and more of a selfish thing. He doesn't want to be, and he'll certainly feel guilty for it, but he's a silently jealous person. Hearing you talk to others, seeing you smile at others, it drives him up the wall. Even during the day, he can't focus, thinking of what you're doing, who you're with, what you're doing with that person, and so on. He can't get anything accomplished, and people notice something is wrong with him. Really, it won't be a very long time at all.
He's not a very good manipulator, and he can't really think of a good reason to get you to walk into the winery backrooms on your own, so as barbaric as it may feel, he'll settle for the old fashioned way, just taking you, probably when you're walking all by yourself late at night. He is very intelligent, and will most likely formulate a way of making you seen responsible for some crime upon your disappearance, to discourage you from leaving, and to make it seem less mysterious when you disappear. People will assume that the darknight hero got to you. And, well, they’re not wrong.
How difficult is it to escape from them? How do they keep you restrained? How do they deal with attempted escape?
Initially, he's watchful, staying at the winery so that you can't get far without him noticing. He'll cancel his plans elsewhere and make sure he's never more than sight distance away from the building. With time, he'll have to leave, and when he does, he'll probably invest in some very high quality locks to keep you in. Should that prove to not be enough, he'll have to use chains to keep you attached to the wall, instead. Needless to say, it's difficult.
If you manage an attempt, he'll be angry, sure, but he understands why. The first time, at least. Don't push it. If you manage to keep trying, his sympathy for you will slowly erode with each successive attempt, and soon he'll run out of mercy, and decide maybe just forgiving you isn't enough, and you actually need to learn a lesson to prevent this from happening again.
"Again? You really... Really don't give up, do you. This is the fourth time now... You've really pushed it, you know, I've tried to be nice. If you're not gonna get that, I'll make you understand."
How easy are they to trick, deceive, or manipulate?
Canonically speaking, he's fairly good at predicting the actions of others. He's clever like that. However, he's not the best at reading faces. As far as lies go, he will detect it maybe 80% of the time, but you can probably get away with a bit - once he catches you doing it once, though, he'll suspect you from there on out, and be much less likely to buy your lies.
When it comes to manipulation, he's one of the ones where it's like, he kinda knows, and lets it happen anyway, if it's for the sake of you being happy with him. That, and he's just flat out weak to your smiles and begging for little things. He's got his limits, though, so you'd be wise to only use this sparingly and not push it.
How lenient are they? What privileges can you have, and what will you be denied?
Protective to the maximum degree. Probably the worst of genshin boys.
Absolutely zero contact with the outside. No family, no friends, he might even go to the extent of faking your death to ensure there's not even anyone who will look for you.
Unlike Childe, Zhongli, or Albedo that I've mentioned as allowing you for walks or outside visits... That's not happening with Diluc. No, he's insanely protective, to the point that you very well might not see sunlight again, except through a window.
And he gets that it can get depressing, he really does, it's just the one thing he can't do. He'll try to substitute it, get you nice large windows to let the sun in that you can sit in front of - provided he's there - and maybe after a while build a little screened-in porch for the winery that you can walk around on - again, provided he's right there. You really can't expect him to let you out there when you're alone. What if someone saw you and tried to hurt you?
You get the feeling it's less about keeping anything else out, and more about keeping you in, though.
He's actually good about letting you do things for yourself, though. He won't restrain you from cooking or kitchen utensils or anything like that, unless you do something stupid like try to hurt him or yourself, in which case it'll be a revoked privilege.
What kind of rules do they have? What kind of punishment would they use?
Initially, he tries to go easy on rules, as part of his attempt to make you more accepting. He'll keep you more restrained for the first little while, and later on you'll be allowed to walk, but certain sections of the building will be off limits. He's fairly simple - be obedient, stay inside, don't try to fight. He'll invent new ones based on your behaviors as time goes on, but for the most part, he doesn't want to control you too much.
He fears getting too mad and making you scared of him, so, he struggles to punish you initially. He's probably willing to let quite a bit slide, but once he senses you're taking advantage of that, he'll put an end to it. Once again, he can thank the fact that he's naturally intimidating - he'll grab your jaw and force you to look at him, and honestly, just the look on his face is enough to send chills down your spine. If you're persistent, he's not able to leave you all alone and isolate you, no, he can't handle being away from you for that long. He'll appeal to the punishment of boredom, tying you to one spot and giving you nothing to entertain yourself with will get you to crack in a fairly short amount of time.
Humiliation works well, too. You're all alone except for him, you don't need clothes. So if you want them, you'll have to behave.
How do they deal with rivals, or perceived rivals? Will they get rid of them? Will they kill them themselves, or find another way?
This man only has to look at people to send them running. He's very grateful for his scowl once he realizes the power it holds. You'll be none the wiser as to why everyone you meet seems to end up avoiding you, why people get nervous when you approach, why you can walk into a public place and it will clear out within minutes of you walking through the door. It's ok, though, since you have him to go to for your problems. He'll shrug and tell you he doesn't know why it happens to you, but it's no big deal, you don't have to worry about it, because you don't need them anyway, right?
He's not above having chats with people either. If they're not driven off by the glares, he'll give them another chance by spelling out very clearly that they should back off.
With persistent offenders, though, he has to come up with other means. He's not a delusional, and he knows deep down that this is selfish, that they're not really doing anything wrong per se, but his anger is violent and ultimately overrides any guilt. He'll find a way to make them out to be criminals, spies, or some other form of bad person, and they'll meet their fate at the hands of Mondstadt's mysterious nighttime vigilante.
How easy is it to make them mad? What does their anger look like?
His default personality is... Irritated. He scowls a lot, he gets exasperated easy - even if he tries to be a bit more pleasant for you. His irritation is so common that seeing genuine anger is a bit rarer.
When he does, though, it's one of the worst. To really, really make him mad, you'd have to be exceptionally, intentionally bratty to the point of antagonism - he's understanding and lucid enough to understand why you fight him, why you try to run, but do it over and over relentlessly, or just be a childish brat and ignore his warnings, and he'll snap. His voice bellows when he's mad, it's deep and terrifying and echoes off the walls, his eyes narrow and he stomps heavily with every step. He'll grab you by the arm hard enough to bruise, and if you refuse to follow and dig your heels in, he'll just roughly swing you onto his shoulder and carry you.
He has to exert the anger in some way, though. He's not like some yanderes that can be talked down or calmed, or are going to go easy on you if you apologize and beg. Once the anger is there, it's there until he physically takes it out in some way.
So they see you as above them, beneath them, or equal to them?
It depends, really, because he's highly lucid, so he has very little delusions about you. Unlike many of the others, he's willing to acknowledge your mental competence, and if you're intelligent and have life experience he'll acknowledge it. He won't recognize physical capability, though, since you're nothing compared to his strength. If you are a capable, independent person, he won't delude himself into thinking otherwise. It will, however, have a negative effect, probably the opposite of what you hope for - he's going to feel a bit intimidated by it, really, because if you're capable and independent, you don't need him as much. He's more likely to find ways to force your dependency on him, if so, but deep down he knows you're an equal on a mental level, and it's frustrating.
Now, otherwise - if you're a little more on the ditzy, airheaded side - it will be below. He's realistic, again, and if you genuinely do fall into the category of being naive and a bit dumb, he'll recognize it. He feels more secure in your dependency, and he's more likely to baby you this way, and will absolutely be more protective.
How determined are they for you to love them? How hard will they try to make it happen? Or are they content just having you?
He really wants you to. He's not sure if he deserves it, though. He's acutely, painfully aware of how awful the things he's done are, and to top it all off, he knows that he should wish he was a better man that had self control, yet... He doesn't. He can't lie to himself and pretend to even have a shred of regret, even if he feels guilt. If he hadn't done all those things, you wouldn't be here with him like this, and even though he knows it's selfish, so very, very selfish, knowing that the horrible things he did got him the result he wanted makes it worth it. And given the opportunity to go back, he'd do it again.
He wants you to genuinely love him, and even though he struggles with human affection and communication, he'll try his best to be sweet to you, say nice things, try to be less irritable, try to talk more.
But if dependency, isolation-induced attachment love is the best he can get, well, that's still love.
Bonus: Is there anything that makes them unique, in comparison to other yanderes?
He likes to just... Spend time in your presence. He's still ultimately not much for talking, he runs out of things to say very quickly and even if you're not talking, he's very very happy to be around you. If you're being cold towards him even, he wants to just sit there and be beside you, if you get up and sit on the other side of the room, or walk to another room (provided you have the privilege to do so), he'll follow you wherever like a little lost puppy and just silently sit right back down next to you again. He soaks in your presence like sunlight, it makes him happy.
If you show him affection, especially after an abduction or when stockholm syndrome starts to set in, it's one of the few times you'll see him smile. His smile is soft and faint, and it's less his mouth so much as his eyes that seem to light up. If you show him affection, you can eventually reach a very vulnerable, very soft side of him. He keeps up walls for everyone else, and he kind of desperately wants someone he doesn't have to do that with, so he'll crumble to your affection fairly quickly, once he's assured of your love.
Also, he's one of the ones who fully understands why you're mad. He gets it, he's lucid, and he honestly knows how awful what he's doing is. He still hopes you'll get over it, though, and if confinement and isolation except for him is what it takes to achieve that... So be it. Rather than justifying his actions, he acknowledges what he's done, but he's aware that psychologically, he's already long past the point of no return, and he can't bring himself to stop.
“I know this wasn’t... what you wanted, and, I know it’s, I know this was really, really bad, but I only did it for your sake. If you just... try to get used to it... maybe you can be happy, if you try.”
General perverseness: how sexual of a person are they? What’s their drive like? How touchy do they get? Do they have any reservations about sexuality?
High, but embarrassed as all hell. He likes to maintain a very respectable and serious image, and people knowing that behind that neutral poker face is a brain running through nasty, nasty fantasies would not be very conductive to that image.
And that's what he does - working the bar gets very, very slow sometimes, and there's not much to do but sit around and let his mind wander. The more bored he gets, the more involved in these fantasies he becomes, and sometimes you might have to tap him on the shoulder to snap him out of it.
He feels guilty, really, for how he feels about you, and he knows that it's wrong and violating... But. But if you don't know, it won't hurt you, now will it? Nothing about the fact that he just thinks about bending you over the bar tables and fucking you raw is going to actually do anything bad. It's harmless.
He won't be touchy or perverse towards you by any means, and while that's nice, it causes something of a... Buildup. A lot of urges and needs have gone unmet, a lot of desperation to just feel you skin that has never been filled, and the thing about buildups is that when you reach a certain point they'll eventually burst, which is going to be what happens once you're in your new home.
How forceful are they? Do they care about your willingness?
He's moderate. He'd like you to want it, he's not highly sadistic and doesn't get off to your struggling/crying the way Childe or Kaeya would. But, in the end he's very set on what he wants, and if you're not open to it, he's not going to wait long. As aforementioned, he's got a lot of pent-up need that has gone unchecked, and while he normally strives for self control, at the point of kidnapping you, he's built up enough sexual frustration that he's not going to be very patient. Again, he's not going to be mean about it, he's more the type to just kiss your forehead and mutter a few reassuring things, even as you hiss at the pain of being impaled. That's another issue - he's convinced you might just be intimidated by the size, so he'll keep reassuring you that it's not going to last long, your body just needs time to adjust, even though you feel like you're being split in two.
He's content with knowing that, even if you mentally aren't wanting it, your bodily reactions show that you're clearly not repulsed or anything.
He's also another one to use that very thing against you, much like Albedo. He can feel you twitch and clamp down when you're close and he'll tell you that if you love him you'll cum, and if you don't love him, you won't. But no amount of trying to bring yourself down is enough to override the overwhelming stimulation.
He's also one to get rougher/more intense with time. At first, he's a bit afraid of hurting you, and he's not entirely familiar with how this all goes, and even can be a bit prudish and reserved. But the more he fucks you, the more and more he realizes he really likes having a sense of control and dominance over you, and just how nice it feels to come home when he's frustrated from a bad day and just fuck that energy out. Once he realizes you're not going to break or anything, you'll notice him gradually getting rougher and harder with time, until it becomes a norm.
What sort of kinks or fetishes do they have, or would they fill?
Stomach bulging/size kink
He's not normally an outwardly prideful person. His pride is more of a silent aloof type of pride, rather than a smug showoff type. He's not one to emphasize his positive traits just to look good. But, fuck, if there isn't something very, very pleasing about being able to physically see his dick making a bulge on your stomach every time he fucks into you. He'll make sure you don't close your eyes, grab your hair and pull your head down so you're forced to watch it fill you more than you can take, over and over.
He doesn't want to hurt you, really, but of all the things to whimper about, you just had to squeal that it's too big, that it hits your cervix, that it's splitting you apart, and as much as he really wants to be a good guy, you're really making it difficult. Hearing that just breaks something primal in him and makes him want to fuck you harder.
It's one of the few things he can actually get smug about, watching you clutch your gut and whimper from bruising and soreness even long after, and as time goes on he might lose enough shame about it all to make a smug comment. He knows he should feel bad. But again, you make it hard to.
Breeding
It's a possession thing, really. There's something so utterly satisfying about just watching cum drip out of you, listening to you whimper whenever you feel it filling you up. It's kind of cute, when he tells you he'll cum inside you and you panic, you squeal and wriggle and unintentionally clench down hard enough to make that happen, you practically just milk the cum out of him when you do.
Forced feminization?/housewife kink/I dont know what to call it but hear me out dammit
He has in his brain this idea of a perfect little housewife and you're going to fit that model whether you want to or not. When he breaks into goes back to your old apartment to bring clothes for your new home he'll only pick the most frilly, feminine of all the things you owned, and if you don't have too many, he'll buy ones for you.
He just likes the idea of having a nice, sweet little wife to come back to, especially after being so stressed with whatever bullshit he's had to put up with that day. Really, any darling in captivity is kinda sorta filling that role, but he's got a very specific image in his mind of you being very... Domestic. Submissive. Frilly little clothes and aprons and cleaning things and making food, it's very cute and gives him a weird sense of dominance that will inevitably turn to arousal - something about the whole ownership and submission aspect of seeing you walk around in those clothes, doing your little chores makes him really want to grab you and bend you over the nearest surface and just - well, you get the idea.
And he's not gonna listen to your whining, either, even if you're a naturally tomboyish person. You could have been the roughest adventurer there was out there, all ragged and getting covered in scrapes and climbing mountains and fighting monsters, but that's in the past, now. Now, is time for you to give that lifestyle up, in favor of a better one, one that will make you happier... if you just let it.
How do they feel about pregnancy or babies? Do they want them?
He's yes and no, but mostly yes in theory. It fits into his little housewife fantasy and he feels it would be a good way to keep you attached to him. It would make you less likely to leave, it would give you something to do all day, you'd be happy. He's a bit worried about his own capabilities, though. He's not super empathetic and he's not very talkative. Ultimately, it would probably end up an accident that results from the aforementioned breeding kink.
What kind of (nsfw) punishments would they use?
Another one kind of like Razor, he's not gonna think it out too much, but holy fuck, if he's mad, just fucking feels like a punishment in and of itself. You'll realize just how much he's holding back on the regular when you see what it's like when he hold nothing back. It's bruising, it's brutal, and it's a little frightening to witness that kind of raw strength. He'd be one to pick you up into the air completely, holding your whole body up with his arms, forcing you to cling to him so as to not fall while he bounces you up and down on him. And really, once you account for the affect of gravity, so it's slamming into you at unprecedented force, and fuck, it's likely horribly painful, even if that pleasure is still there.
If he's exceptionally mad, he's another one willing to belt you, and while he'll certainly get off to it, it's something he'll only do when he genuinely has a reason to punish you.
What body parts of their darling do they like the most?
Thighs. He likes hooking them over his shoulders, grabbing the fleshy soft parts with his hands, running his hands up and down the sides. One day, one you're comfortable enough, he'd really like to just lay his head down on them like a pillow, they look so soft. And he loves looking at them too, loves things that show just enough of the curve of your hips to your legs and the soft skin underneath.

Lamb in Wolves Clothing [Poe Dameron x Fem!Reader]
Summary: Poe walks the line between vengeance and compassion when you are admitted to the med bay.
Word Count: 3k
Warnings: Domestic violence, opiates in an IV bag
Author’s Note: This is Angst. With fluff at the end. This will be a happy story. I’d like to make this a 3 part story. Let me know what you think!
gif by @james-flint
Poe Dameron was not a violent man. Despite his high kill count (somwhere in the hundreds, to be sure - storm troopers, TIE fighters, and legions of imperial guards vaporized under his hand and by his command) he still held a sanctity and respect for life. He never dragged out an enemies death, only killed when necessary - wasn’t one to take pleasure in man’s pain, but he could not stop fantasizing about killing your boyfriend.
And sitting there in the medbay, all alone, head in his hands, nothing to distract him; the fantasies were numerous- mainly involving Poe leaving Dric, the boyfriend in question, stranded on an uninhabitable planet. Poe daydreamed about tying him up and leaving him on Hoth to freeze to death, or tying him up and abandoning him in a desolate part of Tatooine or Jakku. He couldn’t decide which he liked better, Dric being frozen to death or dehydrated to death. Should his lips turn blue, or blister? Which was worse? The only thing stopping him from finding Dric and acting out these fantasies was needing to make sure you were alright. All he knew was that you’d sustained a brain injury and you had been sedated.
He’d already been through it with the medics, ordering that every chart, every scan and test be delivered to him as soon as possible. You had a concussion, contusions, some stitches. All too the head.
He knows what you claimed happened. That you fell down some stairs. That’s what you told the med team and Rey. But that was bullshit. Stairs didn’t usually leave defensive wounds. It was such a bad lie, it was almost like you weren’t even trying to cover for this asshole anymore. For one, you were admitted to the med bay in the middle of the night wearing pajamas. Your’s and Dric’s room, in Res Hall B, was about as far away from a set of stairs as you could get. The closest being in Hangar B, which you had no reason to be in. Barefooted, in the middle of the night, when you should have been sleeping? Didn’t take a detective to work that one out. And secondly, Poe would have seen if you’d gone into the hangar at all. He and some squadron buddies were playing Sabacc right near the staircase. They would have invited you to play that night, but that invitation would also be an invitation to Dric. And as much as they loved you, they couldn’t stand being around your boyfriend.
Everyone knew Dric was an asshole. An asshole that somehow charmed you, a new recruit, your very first day at the Resistance base. Like a long-con predator, a wolf marking its territory. Dric took no time in declaring his love and affection for you, making sure no other man or woman could have a chance. Dric told you it was love at first sight, that he’d been waiting for someone like you his whole life, he couldn’t believe how lucky he was. You never even got your own quarters, you moved straight in with Dric into Res Hall B.
He wasn’t a bad looking guy. Attractive, really. Big and tall with lots of muscles. All the better to protect you, my dear. He was loud, confident, and funny… okay, sometimes crude funny, but still funny. And it was rare to laugh these days.
This came as a shock to Poe when he first arrived back on base after a week-long mission. He remembers the first time he saw you, he was battled, bruised, tired as hell … and he hates to take the word’s from Dric’s mouth, but love at first sight was right.
Now Poe likes all kinds of girls, right? He isn’t too picky about who he flirts with- he sees beauty and sexuality in pretty much everyone and can admire all types of people… but if he had a type, if he had to sit and think and build a combination of all his very favorite things, all the things that got him going- it’d be you. Your hair, your skin, your eyes, your smile - your teeth! He never knew teeth could be so cute. Your laugh, the pitch of your voice, your sense of humor, your love and compassion, your intelligence; these were things Poe would come to know later and really cement his attraction to you.
Each quality of yourself that was revealed as your friendship progressed was a nail in the coffin of his heart. He was stunned when he heard you were already seeing someone, already living with someone, living with Dric. Dric the Dick?! This deflated Poe as much as anything could. He figured it couldn’t be Dric’s personality you were attracted to. It had to be his hyper masculine stature, 6’4, 220lbs… something Poe definitely was not. So he figured he didn’t stand a chance anyway. Even if he had met you first. He was nothing like Dric. He thought about it though. Thought about it a lot. If you were single… I you could be more than friends… As much as he loved you, he respected you. And would never do anything to compromise your relationship with your boyfriend. Thinking about that now, Poe wishes he would have said something sooner. Then, maybe you wouldn’t be here. Coulda, woulda, shoulda. Poe blames himself. He should have done something. He knew! Everyone knew what a jerk Dric was. And he just sat back and let you make that mistake. Some friend he was, huh?
You wished you could explain why you fell for Dric. But hindsight is 20/20. Laying in the med bay… yeah, the signs all seemed pretty freaking clear looking back. You were lonely. From the moment you arrived. You’d just lost your older brother, Lee. A resistance pilot. You had hoped to be fighting alongside him. Only a month before your recruitment, your brother was shot down. You still hadn’t grieved him properly. His death only fueling your need to fight in this war. Maybe predators had a way of smelling that kind of thing on prey. Maybe grief and loneliness gave off a scent like blood in the water. Maybe, despite all your war experience, you were just a lamb in wolves fur.
On his 3rd cup of caf, Poe continued to wait, entertaining himself in the waiting area with the idea of ejecting Dric from a ship into the void of space. His morbid curiosity leading him to speculate as to how slow and painful that death might be, and stacking those pain points next to all the other options. Suffering was key. He didn’t fantasize about giving him a quick and painless departure, though he could feel his hand gravitating toward his blaster, urging him to head to the canteen. Lunch was starting and he knew Dric would be there. Big guys gotta eat, right? But no, he could wait… the more humiliating and torturous, the better.
It was in the midst of these violent daydreams that he felt a hand on his shoulder.
Hey,” Rey had found him where he had been seated for the past 10 hours, in the medbay waiting area. Rey looked like she’d been up all night too.
“Hey,” Poe’s voice sounded strange coming out of his mouth. Was he thirsty? As thirsty as Dric might be wandering the deserts of Tattooine? He shook his head, trying to come to the present.
“She’s awake now.” She gave a small smile and offered Poe a hand, before he took it he rubbed his eyes with his palms.
“Does she want visitors? I don’t want to bother her, I just wanted to make sure she was okay,” stars he sounded tired. He stood up and smoothed his hands over his shirt and pants.
“She was asking for you, Poe. Go on in, I’m going to get some rest.” Rey made a move towards the Res hall, but stopped noting Dameron’s hesitation. She sighed and patted his arm. “I know, Poe. It’s okay, go sit with her. She doesn’t want to be alone right now.”
Those words seemed to awake him to a call to action. He wished Rey sweet dreams and quickly turned to make his way to the med bay, Rey caught his sleeve.
“Don’t, erm… don’t talk about killing him, okay?” Was she reading his mind with the Force? But this did cement everything. Rey had been with you since it happened. She’s the one that escorted you to the med bay. Dric was definitely the reason you were here.
“I wasn’t!” He denied. Denying that he was going to talk about it, yes. Denying that he was thinking about it, thinking about it A LOT, no.
“It’s not what she needs right now. Right now, she needs her friend to sit with her.” This was an insight he was grateful for. Truthfully he didn’t know how he was going to interact with you. Being on the same squadron had prepared you two for a friendship based around military tactic. Plan and attack. Seek and destroy. Poe had been planning for the past 11 hours. He was ready to attack. He was hopeful that perhaps you were too. He was kind of hoping you’d like to hear the finer details of his Bind and Abandon Playbook, plays A through J. You could tag team Dric and blast him to smithereens like the two of you did with countless common enemies. He hadn’t stopped to think that maybe your mind wasn’t on violence. Maybe you’d seen enough violence for a while. Poe shook his head.
“Do you see him around here, Rey? He’s not even checking up on her. Doesn’t even care that she’s been unconscious.” His eyes were wild, hair disheveled from being pulled at and combed through with his hands too many times for the past half-day. Rey felt for him, and decided against guiding him through a Jedi meditation to calm him down.
“Poe, this isn’t about you. This is about her. Just be here for her. That’s more important than your vengeance. Got it? You’ll only upset her.”
This sounded like some Jedi crap to Poe. He was too exhausted to argue though, and calmness and compassion did seem like a better plan than brainstorming which predatory birds would be best for pecking Dric’s eyes out.
“No murder talk. Got it. Goodnight… day, Rey”
“Night-day, Commander.” She gave a tired smile and made her way back to her quarters.
He ambled down the short hallway that led to the infirmary, nodding at the medic team as he opened the sectional to the recovery unit. It was good to see there weren’t many people in here right now. It was probably the quietest he’d ever seen it, if he wasn’t so worried about you, that fact would’ve relaxed him.
Just sit with her. Be her friend. Ask her what she wants. Just sit. And be. Poe’s resolve to achieve this zenlike state was discarded as soon as he laid eyes on your face. Bruises at the apex of their bloom. A busted lip, stitches on your forehead. Oh that fucker was going to die. Slow. Was that blood in your hair? He clenched his fists and tried to calm his racing heart. Fucking slow. So fucking slow. It’ll take weeks. He’ll need to put in a request for vacation-time to do it properly. He’d do it on Tattooine. Strip him naked and give him juuuust enough water to keep him alive for a few excruciating days. Maybe rustle up some of the aforethought predatory birds to pick the bones clean. No one would ever find him.
You were awake and looking at him with… was that shame? Poor girl. Maker, you looked so small like this. A tube in your arm, a brace on your neck. Poe was trying to rid his mind of the violence he didn’t want you to see in his eyes. Later, he told himself. There’d be time for fucking up the fucker later. You didn’t need to be party to anymore hatred right now. Shit, you never looked this bad before. Not even after that scrape in Kijimi where you head butted a stormtrooper. Like a fucking badass. The thought made Poe smile. You were something else. And how dare that oaf- no no, not now. later. He lowered himself the chair that was angled toward your bed. He assumed it was the same one Rey had been sitting in minutes earlier.
Just be normal, Poe.
“How are you feeling, Swing?” The nickname he gave you all those months ago still stuck. He and the rest of the squad heard you singing on your first ever mission over the comms. You were new and either didn’t know or totally forgot to click over to ‘silent’ after the conference comm and unknowingly blessed them with a two minute rendition of your favorite song. When you finished, you were mortified to hear the rest of the squadron clapping and whistling. And your heart dropped when you heard Poe say “nice pipes, Black 10, but let’s keep the comms clear for awhile. You know, in case of emergency.” From then on they all called you Singin’ in the Wing, which over time shortened to Swing. Poe thought it was the most adorable thing in the whole kriffing galaxy. He’d love to hear you sing to him on missions if only he didn’t need to keep the comms clear.
“I’m feeling okay Poe. It looks worse than it feels, especially with all this pain relief junk in my blood. I don’t feel a thing. Except for really embarrassed and… clumsy.” You said the last word hesitantly. You weren’t sure if anyone bought your stairs story. You didn’t want to insult Poe’s intelligence and you could see by the way his eyes darkened slightly that he didn’t buy it one bit.
“So those stairs, you fell down, huh? Some stairs. Always hated those kriffing stairs. Want me to get rid of those stairs for you? Promise you’ll never have to see those stupid things again. Get a nice sturdy ladder or something instead.” God dammit, Poe. Really good job. That’ll make her feel better. Your eyes welled with tears and you went to turn your head away, which wasn’t easy considering the neck brace. Fuck he must think you were so pathetic.
“Hey, hey, no no no, I’m sorry I’m sorry. Shit. I’m… here for you okay, whatever you need. I’m trying to keep it cool and it’s not easy.” He admitted. Man, the lack of sleep must be contributing to all this chaos in his head. It couldn’t be helping. “I’m really tired and talking out of my ass right now, Swing. Forgive me?” He rested his hands on the side of your cot, catching himself before reaching for your hand. He didn’t want to hurt you in case it was sore.
You wiped your eyes and nodded. “Of course, Poe. Thanks for coming to check on me.” His eyes were glassy with dark circles underneath. His shirt, the same one he was wearing when he almost invited you to Sabacc last night, was littered with caf stains.
“You look like shit, commander.” You knew it’d be funny coming from you- who looked passably like you did indeed fall down a flight of stairs face first. “Get some rest, Poe. I’m going to be okay. Probably going to close my eyes myself. I’m telling ya, whatever they’ve got in that bag,” you pointed to the IV connected to your arm, “is some good shit. Would you like a sip before bed?” Poe got up from the chair and made his way around you to the next empty cot, about 4 feet away. He kicked off his boots.
“No thanks, Swing. I’ll order my own if I need it.” He winked at you and tucked his legs under the blanket.
“Poe, what are you doing?” You asked, amused. Was he really going to sleep in the fracking med bay?
“I’m going to sleep. You were right I need to rest. And this cot looks fresh, looks inviting. I really don’t wanna walk back to the Res Hall. Plus…” He tucked his hand under the pillow and shifted onto on his side to face you, “I don’t think I’d be able to sleep without knowing that you’re okay… and without getting too into details, it’d be best to keep me separated from the general population right now.” You knew what he meant. Didn’t want to chance running into Dric.
“I’d ask for a lullaby, but I don’t think I’ll need it,” he offered a sleepy smile eyelashes slowly batting closed. “Goodnight, Swing, I’m so relieved you’re okay.” It took no time at all for his eyes to close fully and his breathing to even out. You might’ve protested, told Poe that there was no way in the galaxy that the med bay cot was anywhere near as comfortable as his bed. You didn’t know that. Well you kind of knew. You sat on it a couple of times, hanging out with him and Beebs, filling out reports in his room. But you didn’t know know.
You didn’t protest because you really did need him here. You knew you wouldn’t be able to fall asleep on your own, the med bay so quiet and open. Every shadow cast or medic’s footsteps making the rounds had made your breath hitch. Every shadow morphing into Dric’s form. Every sound transforming into the footfalls of a man on a mission to finish the job he started.
But now, with Poe snoring lightly a few feet away, the sounds were just sounds. Steady beeps, far off voices. Nothing to fear.

Kaoru Anesagi: Then the kid would start dancing while singing "ooh, ooh", and that was the blueprint for Rabitty-kun.
