Everytime one of these "protect women and girls" orgs go viral for doing something evil I like to take a look through their "wins" and see if they've ever helped protect even one single living woman or girl.
Collective Shout has:
Gotten a hotel to cancel a legal-aged porn star's reservation
Gotten a venue to cancel a Playboy Bunny themed party - again, attended by only adults
Pressured the Breast Cancer Foundation to pull ads that they found too sexy
got ads for a sex doll company removed because they felt the dolls resembled children
Got a beer coozy that had pinups of adult women printed on them discontinued.
Got an H&M ad pulled for back to school clothes for saying "Turn Heads"
Got Tyler the Creator banned from performing in New Zealand
I'm still scrolling and I have yet to see a single instance of a real, living woman or girl being protected by any one of their actions. They have on multiple occasions punished real, adult women for the audacity to be naked in some capacity they find distasteful.
Adding to this that they have lobbied to get a real pedophile released AND supported Cuties, which objectified and exploited real living children.
My main point is not that you have to love any of the things above, you can even hate them and wish they didn't exist. but they were able to dismantle the entire games industry and set a dark precedent regarding banks deciding who is morally good enough to spend money - and they aren't even helping any real women or girls in the process.

Does anyone have suggestions for music apps that are good and also not Spotify ? I don't want to fund their AI murder drones. I'm switching to YouTube music for right now but Google isn't exactly the most ethical company in the universe either. Do I just get an mp3 player and accept that it's a pirates life for me?

YouTube will use AI to monitor your viewing habits to determine if you're under 18 and require an ID for you to view certain content, yes even if you're in the US.
Now. I have some questions. Like if I watch kids shows from the 90s is that a mark for me being over 30 because it's an old TV show? Or under 30 because it's a kid's show?
Okay question aside.
There's legitimate reasons to have "odd" viewing habits. I for one have chronic fatigue. I've fallen asleep with Youtube's autoplay on and will wake up 3 hours later with the weirdest shit playing (sometimes it's kids stuff).
I'm learning 2 languages. I will watch kids shows in those languages to help me practice and pick up the language. (Muzzy in Gondoland is SO CUTE). But it's really helpful to watch shows that are like "Red orange yellow green! One two three!" To learn the basics like your colors, numbers, days of the week.
Also. Bronies... adults like kids shows. Sometimes they got a really good message like MLP. Sometimes for Nostalgia, I mean Pokémon is still going, and I watch that for nostalgia.
"No, but AI would be smarter than that!"
Is it? Is it really? Bitch if kids want to watch YouTube, that's what YouTube Kids is for. We don't need your 1984 bullshit monitoring our fucking watching habits.
"I don't understand why you're so upset. Just give them your ID." Because I'm a developer. I watch programmers increasingly use AI to fucking program their goddamn software every fucking day. And the thing is AI is really fucking bad at it. It leads to issues like the Tea app leak.
The Tea app was an app where women warned other women in the dating scene about red flag men in the area and they could ask other women if the guy that were dating was a red flag. That app had women upload their Drivers Licenses, and they recently had a leak due to shitty security protocols caused by AI coding causing a legacy database to literally be open to the public, with so security features to keep any old random person from accessing it. All of the data in that database what just... dumped to the open internet. Location data. IDs. All of it.
So, no... I'm not gonna me uploading my ID anywhere BECAUSE I'VE SEEN HOW POORLY SOME OF YOUR ASSHOLES CODE. And by "how poorly you code" I mean you don't fucking code. You just give it to AI and the fucking dumbass system wouldn't know a security feature if it punched it in the face.
Suck my dick. You're not "keeping the kids safe" you're exposing everyone to identity threats.

"I sort fics by kudos and only kudos on stories with high kudos counts, why aren't there more stories with high kudos, I ran out of things to read." You're part of the problem.
"Authors artificially inflate comment counts by thanking people, I can't find anything with a real comment count to read." No they fucking are not, they're grateful for engagement.
"I can't read anything under 100k." That's the majority of fics you're ignoring, most novels aren't even that long.
"I don't have time to look for the incredibly rare diamond in the rough, so I won't read anything below a certain amount of kudos, comments, and hits." Those fics are popular because people gave them a chance and then snobs like you found them.
"I won't read anthing with a single typos." You made typos in that sentence, get off your high horse.
"One singular author didn't thank me for commenting, I'm never commenting on any fic again so I don't get burned." You're punishing people because someone didn't give you engagement they don't owe you that they might not have seen.
"This fic is three months old, it's so old, it doesn't matter if I comment or kudos, it's old." Fics do not have expiration dates, comment and kudos.
You're killing your fandoms with your snobbish behaviors.

Crazy how for so long everyone has been like "oh you're going to China? They censor everything though. You can't even just Google. They take all your data and your fingerprints and everything. You can't even search up tianmen square. They control the media there. You have to use special messaging apps because WhatsApp is blocked. Did you know minors can only play one hour of multiplayer games a day? Because the CCP controls everything."
And now we can't even go on twitter, discord, possibly even Wikipedia. Not only are we limited on how long we play, we can't even buy many anymore. Not even if you prove you're an adult. They've all been taken down. WhatsApp is threatening to remove services instead of remove it's encryption. One of the topics considered worthy of censorship was depiction of menstruation. You know, that thing that half of everyone goes through from an age much younger than 18.
And there are people defending this. The same people who hate on China. For its censorship. They are defending this.

We live in the dumbest, lamest cyberpunk dystopia possible.
So LA has been — and continues to — protest against ICE. These protests haven’t gotten any smaller or lost any momentum, but social media wasn’t reflecting it.
TikTok users, realizing that the platform/other social media are censoring/deleting/shadowbanning these protest videos, decided to find a workaround.
They’re calling it the LA Music Festival. Ice detention centers and other protest locations are “stages.” The hottest band is Rage Against the Machine. “Here’s what gear you should be bringing to stay safe at the LA Music Festival.”
And it fucking worked.
TikTok has become a proving ground for a lot of new music, meaning lots of labels and organizations have lucrative deals with TikTok to promote their new artists and music festivals. So they absolutely cannot censor the words “music festival” or train the algorithm to ignore it, or they risk endangering that very important revenue.
So now protest videos are flooding feeds again, but it’s the LA 24/7 Music Festival. Truly an incredible timeline we’ve landed in.
