So I’ve been meaning to dip my toes into the fan made song pool, but I’m having trouble coming up with lyrics for Name in Lights (sung by Mr. Crystal as a cautionary tale to Buster Moon regarding how his chronic lying will one day bite back). As someone who made an original song for their series (Fly With Her), do you think you could give me some pointers? I could use all the help I can get if I want this song to be the best it can be!

The best way I can put it is, I just thought of the story I wanted to tell within the song:

How Ash met Steff in the first verse.

How Lance tore her down until Steff confessed her feelings in the second verse.

How Steff makes her feel in the bridge.

And the main message of the song in the chorus (how she sees her as an angel she loves and wants to fly with).

Then I just measured the amount of syllables in each lyric to make sure it flowed right and wasn't overstuffed, and the best rhyme that fit each one while still conveying the message.
