I still want Goro Akechi to die and not get a redemption arc. I appreciate him most as a foil, a villain, and a cautionary tale to the Phantom Thieves. To me, he's most aligned with demonstrating the story themes, when he's purely an antagonist.

Normally I don't recommend fanfics but I've been reading the akechi-centric p5 fanfic "the green-eyed monster" and I feel like the low kudos amount it has vs how well it's written is kind of insane. Like I know it isn't something that most people would read (plot-heavy casefic featuring almost no major p5 characters and only a hint of any kind of shipping), but the way the author utilizes minor p5 characters in a way that elaborates on them while still keeping them true to what we see of them in-game is genuinely impressive to me. It also has a really interesting take on the popular "akechi gets erased from public cognition after the end of the game" headcanon!!

#it has a slow start but stick around it gets good #Elaboration on minor characters so good I'm like 'akechi get out of the way let's put mika back in this narrative...'#anyway once again I almost never talk about fanfic but the low kudos rate on here is criminal.......#Also disclaimer it's a single casefic in a series that hasn't been updated in two years. So like this plot I think will wrap up nicely #But obviously there won't be resolution on any overarching stuff
