Accidental Kisses! || TNG Star Trek x Male!Reader
William Riker
You stumbled down the stairs while he was walking up, Willaim lunged to catch you, which knocked your lips together.
"Oh- are you alright, Lieutenant? You took quite a tumble."
You apologize for stumbling into him and kissing him, to which he smiles and waves it off as an accident. After all, there was no harm in it!
Afterwards, he absentmindedly licks his lips and tastes your chapstick, reminding him of the encounter. His cheeks tinge pink- hopefully his feelings still remain a secret
Worf
As Worf's assistant and Assistant Chief of Security, Worf expected you to be in peak physical condition- this kiss happens while sparring- he tackled you to the ground, and in the struggle, you two share a rough kiss.
Worf pins you down by the neck and arms, which effectively left you prone. He mumbles "That better have been an accident." You nod frantically and he releases you.
Apologized for getting too rough with you- blaming it on reflex more than actual aggression. You apologize for the kiss, which still haunts his sweetest dreams to this day.
Data
You had no idea what the fuck happened. Suddenly, you were saying "hi" to Data in the rec room, then his hands were on your cheeks as he kissed you with a mountain of electricity tingling behind his lips.
"What? the hell?" You manage to sputter out, Data seemed confused.
"Apologies if I startled you. I was giving you an authentic European greeting from Earth. Did you feel appropriately greeted and our relationship assured?"
"Data- I- first of all, not all of Europe kisses to greet, NEXT OF ALL, THEY KISS THE CHEEKS!"
Geordi La Forge
It was a moment of excitement shared between you two- a project you both had spent countless nights on performed without a hitch in front of the investors. After the meeting, you two were so excited and hugging- it just sorta... happened.
"Oh- oh my god- I'm so sorry." Geordi apologized quickly as he recoiled away from the hug. "It was an accident."
"Yeah- we were just excited, totally an accident on both ends." You respond just as quickly as your cheeks burn up.
Q
Alright, this kiss isn't an accident. He's pissing you off by bothing you during your work, begging for you to entertain him. He wants a human experience! He already looks like one in this form! Do something human!
So, you punched him in the gut, then kiss him roughly- tongue invaded his mouth in a way that made his eyes roll back into his skull at the feeling of being properly paid attention to- even more than expected!
Q finally shut up for a good while as he behaved himself- at the promise of more of those. So, he sat down next to your station and waited patiently for you to be done with our work- then he kissed you!
His kiss was- well, it was Q, what did you expect?

Star Trek TNG // Kissing Headcanons
Authors note: Tell me why I'm barely on season 3 of TNG and for some reason I think I'm almost at the end of the show ._. This show has 7 seasons I'm-
Characters/pairings: Worf x Reader, Data x Reader, Geordi x Reader
⚠Warnings⚠: Mentions of injuries and blood but nothing graphic
—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•
‼️Worf‼️
-He is one hundred percent r o u g h
-Even without meaning to
-Like he’s aware that he has to be gentle
-But doesn’t know how gentle
-Absolutely has drawn blood while kissing you before
-Will obviously be extremely apologetic about it but won’t explicitly show it
-Unless you’re into drawing blood
-Then he’s all like 🤨
-Although in all seriousness, he would absolutely get lost in the moment
-like superrr passionate
-bro forgets to breathe half the time
-No part of you is safe from his love bites
-And I mean the bite part very seriously
-He’s a biter for sure
-He can’t help but love the way you react to it
-And can’t help his own reaction to seeing you covered in his teeth marks (🤭)
-And if you bite him back ????
-He’s head over heels fr
His eyes will also roll into the back of his head —WOAHHH WHO SAID THAT??
🤍Data🤍
-He’s for sure a little confused on how to kiss at first
-Like, he’s researched how to and stuff
-but actually putting into practice is a tad bit harder than he expected
-The first time you two kiss it’s very clumsy
-Like very clumsy
-He started out by moving his lips wayy to much
-and then just kept his lips shut tight when you tried to correct him 💀
-It’s all just him figuring it out and it’s super adorable lol
-Once he does figure it though??
-bro.
-prepare to get your breath taken away
-literally. bc he gets so caught up in it that he legit forgets you need to breathe
-but seriously once he learns how to kiss properly 😮💨
-And although he does love kissing you on the lips, he definitely prefers kissing you on the cheek, forehead, neck, etc.
-idk why but I get the feeling he’s just into that more
-Feels more domestic to him lol
-he’s especially a fan of butterfly kisses
-both receiving and giving
-He can’t help but love the way you smile when he does so
-Also a huge fan of kissing your nose for sure
💛 Geordi 💛
-Geordi is the type of guy to be real gentle with his kisses
-He wants every kiss he gives you to show just how much you truly mean to him
-He adores both lip kisses and kisses in other places
-But either way he’s gentle and caring with his kissing
-He’s never one for a chaste or hurried kiss
-He’ll hold you in his arms tightly as he slowly covers your face in kisses
-trailing up your jaw and to your cheekbones and ending it with your lips
-And even though these kisses are reserved for when your alone together
-he has nooo problem showing his affection in public
-it’s a little more toned down of course
-but expect him to press a nice kiss on your temple every now and again
-or maybe a short but firm and nice hug (with a sneaky kiss on the neck)
-this man just wants to shower you with affection whenever he can
-and 1000% will
-oh and if you show him some fluffy affection (preferably kisses) he will melt
-he adoresss when you reciprocate his affections and he may or may not shut down every now and again
-he’s adorable 🥰

HOW THEY APOLOGIZE
arguments and ways the tng crew apologize for it
CW: gn!reader
CREW: jean-luc picard, will riker, beverly crusher, data, geordi la forge, deanna troi, worf
JEAN-LUC - stubborn as a bull and somehow always right, having an argument with jean-luc is like navigating the ocean in a canoe. he knows he’s not the best at expressing his feelings, more likely to shrug off personal matters and hope they resolve themselves than be seen as too vulnerable. and that’s really what pushes you away the most, and how he knows to apologize. for jean-luc, an apology is only good if you really mean it, and so he takes a day or so to think over the argument, its causes, and how he felt afterwards. and only when he’s considered all angles does he approach you. he’s so honest and genuine and remorseful in his words, it’s almost hard to stay mad at him. but jean-luc manages to say all the right things, along with the most important ones - that he loves you, cares about you, and never again wants to push you away. and he’s a man of his word, jean-luc does make an effort to be more open in order to prevent more fighting. of course, he can still be set in his ways, and you may need to remind him of his promise now and again. but rest assured that your feelings will never be ignored and always valued.
WILL - this man tends to say what’s on his mind, as well as let his temper boil to the surface more than he’d like, so this usually culminates in will saying something hurtful that he really doesn’t mean. it’s never anything that goes too far - he just isn’t the kind of person to hit low. but it’s the way he says things that usually hurt more than the words themselves, and he knows this. he’s usually able to stuff it down when it involves his work, but someone he’s intimate with? someone he’s vulnerable around and knows him better than most? well, let’s say that will instantly knows when he’s messed up and he goes the extra ten miles to make it up to you. a benefit to you knowing him so well is that he knows you, too. your favorite food, holodeck program, music, weather, even the shirt you love seeing him in. he does these grand gestures not to butter you up (though, that is a factor), but so he can prove how much he cares about you. he’ll apologize profusely, telling you he crossed a line and it wouldn’t happen again. and if his promise isn’t enough, then…well, he does look really good in that shirt and the food is exactly how you like it. you might as well keep will around for a while.
BEVERLY - she wouldn’t want to keep an argument unresolved for too long. it’s the doctor in her - beverly can’t just let something go without healing the thing that damaged it at the core. she’s usually good about being objective and keeping a lid on her emotions, but they do spill over sometimes. when they do, beverly has definitely got a mouth and an attitude on her and you’ll have trouble keeping up when she’s so easily able to fling hurtful words. and she always feels guilty once she’s cooled off - beverly might be worried about approaching you afterward. she’ll ask your friends how you’re doing, if you’re still angry, if she even has a chance at making things right. and when she finally approaches you, she tries to keep it light. smiling softly, telling small jokes, showing you a lot of affection before just coming out and apologizing. beverly does nothing with half-measures - she knows what she said and did was wrong. she’s lost a lot in her life, and she couldn’t bear to lose you, too. so her apology is genuine, kinda sad, and when you hug her afterwards, beverly simply melts into your arms - now knowing how close she was to losing you.
DATA - of course, he hadn’t meant to hurt your feelings. data still very often struggles with the complexity of emotions and is constantly surprised at how easy it is to say, or even imply, the wrong thing. of course, he isn’t very equipped to handle you after a long, hard, emotional day - all it takes is a few poorly-chosen words and you’re crying, huffing at him, leaving his quarters with barely a word and leaving data to ponder over what he said. he goes to geordi the next day, only to learn that yes, he did say the exact opposite thing he should’ve said. there’s no taking it back, data knows that - so he tries his best to rectify the situation. he’s learned all the things that make you happy, whether its a hot bath, a delicious treat, or a type of music. data really pulls out all the stops because he knows, generally, that a bunch of favorable things often cancels out negative emotions. though, your reaction to everything doesn’t clear anything up for data - you’re laughing, smiling at him instead of everything he prepared for you. data tries to apologize and tell you he had no intention of hurting you. but after learning that it was simply a very bad day, he has a new tactic whenever you’re feeling bad again - instead of talking, just replicate something sweet and let you take the lead.
GEORDI - for as much as data seems to rely on geordi for emotional advice, he does tend to be a little oblivious when he hurts your feelings. it’s never a conscious dismissal, though. when it comes to personal issues, i think geordi tends to get caught up in things that aren’t very important and fails to look at the big picture. this side of him works wonders for an engineer thinking outside the box, but not so much in a relationship. of course, once the problem finally hits him like a brick, he would feel super bad about not noticing sooner. and you’ll learn that geordi is really good at making up for his mistakes - he owns up to them, never ignoring them, always trying to fix what he broke. sometimes, he isn’t too great with his words - he might stumble and his apology would come out wrong. but geordi is deeply empathetic and he’d do just about anything to make it up to you. from then on, his hugs are just a little tighter, his words a little sweeter, his kisses a little longer. geordi learns from his mistakes, and while he can still be a little oblivious from time to time, all it takes is a soft mumble of his name and he’ll come around.
DEANNA - it’s not often when deanna is in a position of needing to apologize. obviously, her empathic abilities, wisdom, and patience keep her from crossing any sort of line or doing something that hurts you. but when it happens, i can’t imagine deanna would give any half-ass apology or shrug off the incident. at first, she might back off and give you space - let things cool down because she knows how volatile an argument can get and she doesn’t want either of you saying anything you’d regret. deanna is a very understanding and empathetic woman, it isn’t hard for her to put herself in your shoes and feel bad for how she handled the situation. after the cooldown period, she talks with you - really talks and discusses your feelings and it kinda makes her feel even worse about the argument but she does learn a lot. and i think after that, she’ll be very inclined to offer physical comfort. a nice, long hug, kissing your cheeks in this loving and playful way. reestablishing that connection and helping soothe any lasting wounds. also, it just makes her feel a lot better being able to just hold you and give lots of love.
WORF - i don’t have to tell you that getting into an argument with a Klingon is an uphill battle straight from the start. granted, worf isn’t usually as aggressive, but he’s still got that hot temper his species are known for and once an argument starts, it won’t stop until he’s shouting and you’re leaving the room. Klingon fights are usually resolved by throwing things or fighting, but that’s not exactly how humans typically deal with their negative emotions. it’s definitely a challenge for worf to push his temper aside long enough to be told how much he messed up - he needs his flaws to be put into perspective by someone he trusts and that’s usually when he feels bad and starts thinking of ways to apologize. to worf’s credit, he’s better with his words than he thinks. what he believes to be a silly and foolish-sounding apology really comes across as genuine and regretful - which it is, of course. worf’s got a bigger heart than he lets on and the thought of having hurt you during a stupid argument doesn’t sit well with him. he actively tries to atone through simple acts, like bringing you tea or making you laugh.

Star Trek TNG
CHARACTER(S):
Q x GN!Reader, Geordi La Forge x GN!Reader, Data x GN!Reader, Deanna Troi x GN!Reader, Worf x GN!Reader, Will Riker x GN!Reader, Jean Luc Picard x GN!Reader, Reginald Barclay x GN!Reader
GENRE:
Humour, romance (sort of)
WARNINGS:
None
SUMMARY:
Oneshot sequel to 'Think'. Q returned you and the other nineteen crew members to the ship, but people are acting... strangely. (Inspired by a funny mistake in my previous Q fic)
Irresistable
It had been three days since you had been kidnapped by Q and forced to play his game. Three days since he promised to drop by every so often to make your life 'more interesting'. For a short period of time you lived in fear of when that moment would be and, more importantly, what he would do. Then, sometime around the second day, your priority shifted from Q.
You didn't know whether you were paranoid, whether your fear of Q was translating to other meaningless things, or if something was actually going on, but...
Everyone was staring at you.
At first you assumed it was because your experience with Q had made you and the nineteen other crew members the hottest gossip on the Enterprise. But then it got weird.
Conversations would stop as soon as you entered a room, people would go out of their way to talk to you or do you a favour, and if you didn't get at least six compliments upon entering a room then the room was empty. Not only that, but you had been asked on more dates than ever before in your entire life. Dinner, lunch, breakfast, afternoon tea - people were desperate to squeeze in some quality time with you.
But most of all, they stared.
You were in one of the jefferies tubes replacing a burnt out conduit. Commander La Forge had insisted on helping you... by standing just outside of the tube... and chatting. It wasn't really like him to stand around and talk while there was work to be done, but you weren't about to question a superior officer.
"...and then I came in and fixed the neutrino field in two seconds. Guess what the problem was!"
You smiled as though you were amused by Geordi's story as you worked. In all honesty, you were a bit worn thin by people trying to be relatable to you over the past few days. Still, even before the Q incident, Geordi had been nice to you. You weren't about to brush off his polite attempts at socialising now, even if it was a little exhausting.
"What was it?" you asked, humouring him.
"No converters! They thought they could not only start up a neutrino field, but stabilise the entire thing without any converters!"
While Geordi laughed, you gave a forced chuckle. You got the feeling that even he knew he was scraping the bottom of the barrel for conversation material. It was lucky for him that the burnt out conduit was behind several wires and tubes and partially melted to the framework of the ship, otherwise you would have come up with some excuse to leave over an hour ago.
Geordi sucked in a breath and you knew he had just thought of a new topic to discuss.
"That actually reminds me of the time -"
Commander Data's calm voice hit the air. "Geordi, may I have a word with you?"
"Not now, Data!" Geordi whispered harshly.
"Is now not a good time?"
"Lieutenant (Y/N) and I were just talking -"
"Actually, I'm done!" you announced, crawling back out of the tube. When you stood upright, you came face to face with Commander Data. He was an android - a tall, very pale and slightly yellowish android with golden eyes, who was well known for his inability to experience any emotions.
So why his entire face twisted into shock upon seeing you was something you didn't feel qualified enough to answer. His bright golden eyes were locked onto you like you were some sort of mythological being come to life. Whatever the expression was, you were pretty sure it meant that something was seriously wrong.
Geordi noticed, too. He put a hand on Data's shoulder.
"Data, what's the matter?"
"I..." The android appeared at a loss for words. "I am not certain. This is the eighth time in three days that I have been overwhelmed by this... urge."
"Urge?"
Data turned his head to Geordi and his tone became almost conversational. "It is what I came to speak to you about. I believe I am experiencing some kind of malfunction."
"Alright, let's go check out your neural net, see if there's anything going on we should know about." Geordi gave Data a light pat on the back and together the two commanding officers walked away.
You stood alone for the first time since waking up that morning. No one had noticed that you were on your own so no one was rushing up to impress you or ask you to dinner or... stare.
As much as you hoped Data was okay, you were glad for the distraction. For this brief moment, you could finally relax.
"Hello again."
You cried out and jumped away from the jefferies tube, where Q was laying flat on his stomach with his head propped up on his hands. He seemed to be in a good mood, with a cheery smile and mischief dancing in his eyes. He suddenly reminded you of a grinning Cheshire Cat.
"You!"
Q gave a light chuckle. "How observant of you," he remarked snidley. "And how are you today, (Y/N)? I must say, you have been quite popular since you came back." He raised his eyebrows. "A new shampoo you're using?"
"You're behind this, aren't you?"
Q pretended to be shocked, putting a hand to his chest and gawking up at you. "Me? Now, why would I do such a thing?" His face dropped into a wicked grin. "I'll see you later - if you can squeeze me into your busy schedule, of course."
In a flash of white light he was gone. You huffed and stormed out of engineering.
If Q was going to mess with you, then you were at least going to try and figure out exactly what he did. Everyone seemed to be experiencing some sort of strong emotion towards you - possibly attraction, but possibly something else. Either way, when it came to emotions, you knew there was only one person you needed to speak with.
You stood outside Counsellor Troi's quarters. It was within her usual therapy hours and you were fairly certain that she wasn't on the bridge. You pressed the buzzer and the door slid open almost immediately. Counsellor Troi stood before you in her red one-piece uniform with her long, dark, wavy hair tied up into a high ponytail. The second her black half-betazoid eyes locked onto you, a huge smile curled onto her lips.
"(Y/N)," she greeted warmly. She stepped aside and held her arm out toward her lounge. "Come in. Is there something on your mind?"
"One thing, actually," you said, walking in and taking a seat. She took a seat in the chair opposite you, crossing one leg over the other and linking her hands over her knee.
"Oh? And what might that be?"
"People have been acting strange around me. Ever since I came back from Q's..."
Counsellor Troi wasn't listening. You could see her eyes had dropped to roaming over your body. You cleared your throat loudly and she startled straight in her chair. She gave an apologetic smile.
"Sorry. Please, go on."
"Well, as I was saying, ever since I came back from Q's game, people have been all over me. People are staring at me, they're going out of their way to talk to me, and I'm getting flooded in requests for dates -"
"Maybe you're just popular?" Troi laughed.
"But it's more than that. Q visited me today. He didn't openly admit to anything, but I'm certain he's behind it."
"Q visited you today?"
"Yeah. I think me winning his game means I've just won a lifetime's supply of Q antics to deal with."
"Have you told Captain Picard about this?"
"No, not yet, but I -"
"I think," said Counsellor Troi, standing up from her chair and walking around behind you. "After this session, you should go and inform the captain about what's going on. In the meantime..."
Her hands slid down over your shoulders and massaged the muscles around your neck. She leaned down and breathed in your ear.
"Relax..."
"Uh!" You quickly shimmied out of her grasp and sprang back up to your feet. You backed away from her towards the door with a nervous chuckle. "I-I actually have to go. Important things to do. No time for massages."
"(Y/N)?"
"Thanks for the therapy! Bye!"
You raced out of Counsellor Troi's quarters and headed straight for the turbolift. Clearly, Troi was a little too distracted to help on her own.
Omnipotent being or not, Q was going to get an earful if he showed his face again.
You took the turbolift to the bridge. The second you stepped out, Lieutenant Worf, the klingon chief of security, looked to you. At first it was just him casually glancing over from his station, but when your eyes met he went rigid, like someone had come up from behind and electrocuted him. His expression was tight and his eyes were wide. You could barely believe the idea, but it seemed almost as though you had scared him.
"Just here to see the captain," you explained. Worf gave a stiff nod.
The klingon's eyes were trained on you the entire time you walked over to the door to the captain's ready room. Other personnel on the bridge who had noticed your presence watched you with stunned fascination. The word 'creepy' didn't cover just how uncomfortable you were.
The ready room door slid open and out walked Commander Riker, almost knocking you over with how fast he was walking. He grasped your arms to steady you. Then his eyes met yours and a large flirtatious grin spread across his face.
"Well, well, well..." he said, dark eyes sparkling as they took you in. "Lieutenant (Y/N), isn't it?" He dropped his hands from your arms. "What brings you to the bridge?"
"I'm, uh... actually here to see the captain."
"Oh? Lucky him," Riker smiled. "I don't suppose I'll see you down in Ten Forward tonight? We haven't gotten to know each other very well since you transferred here and I think it's about time we did."
"Uh... Maybe some other time, sir. I'm a little preoccupied right now."
"I see. Well, feel free to come talk to me after my shift whenever you're available. I really would like to get to know you better."
With that Commander Riker walked off. Sighing quietly to yourself, you buzzed the ready room door and you heard the captain order for you to come in. You pressed for the door to open and stepped inside the smaller room, delighted and relieved to be shielded from the stares of the bridge personnel.
"Captain, I -"
Captain Picard was sitting behind his desk, staring at you, stunned, like he couldn't believe what he was seeing. He cleared his throat and adjusted his position in his seat before giving you a nod.
"Please, continue. What is it you need, Lieutenant?"
"Captain, it's Q -"
"Q?!" the captain repeated, alarmed. A weary look overcame him. "What has he done now?"
"Everyone is acting strangely, sir. Everyone is staring at me, going out of their way to spend time with me, and it's not just some sort of spike in popularity. It's like everyone has suddenly become obsessed."
"And you think this is Q's doing?"
"He visited me earlier. It was pretty obvious that he had something to do with it."
Picard leaned forward onto his desk. "Any idea what he wants or why he might be doing this to you? In my experience, Q usually has some sort of moral lesson to teach or an ulterior motive."
"He told me three days ago that he planned on making my life more interesting."
"Why?"
You sighed. "As a reward for winning his game."
Picard's brow furrowed in thought. "So, you're saying that as a reward for solving his game he's rewarded you by making the entire crew overwhelmingly attracted to you?"
You blinked dumbly at the captain. Captain Picard's eyes widened slightly, realising what he had just admitted, and cleared his throat again. You had never seen the captain look so sheepish.
"I think perhaps it's best if you wait in your quarters until Q arrives again so you can question him further. I've had reports of personnel fighting over the others that had been taken by Q during his game. Whatever is going on between you and Q, I don't think that you're the only one that's been affected."
"I see. Thank you, sir."
"You're welcome, Lieutenant." The captain gave a tight-lipped smile. He seemed just as uncomfortable as you in this whole mess. "Dimissed."
You left the captain's ready room back out onto the bridge. Instantly, every eye was on you. Commander Riker was the only one to smile at you from his seat, while everyone else seemed to be in awe of your very existence.
The second you stepped into the turbolift and the doors slid shut, you let out a deep breath. Unfortunately, the moment you arrived on your level and the doors reopened you came face to face with Mr Barclay. The poor man took one look at you and was stumbling over himself trying to say 'hello'. He was a shy man to begin with and this newfound effect you had on people was taking its toll.
You greeted him politely as you passed him. The man was bright red. You would have thought it sweet if you hadn't known already that this was all Q's doing.
Upon reaching your quarters, you looked forward to the time alone as you waited for Q to show up, to be free of the constant staring and talking and flirting. Your moment of relief was quickly ruined when soft music hit the air and you realised that Q was once again lying across your bed, only this time he was dressed in a red silk robe and surrounded by red roses. He held one of the roses in his hand, waving it just under his nose, and threw you a wink.
"Welcome to later."
"Very funny," you scolded. You walked closer to the bed, scowling down at the omnipotent entity. "Why are you doing this?"
"Can't a Q have a little fun now and then?" Q huffed and rolled his eyes. "Honestly, you mortals have no sense of humour."
"I heard you were forced to be a human once."
"What about it?"
"Well, would you have liked it if everyone was throwing themselves onto you wherever you went?"
Q hummed in thought. "Good point, I suppose. I must say, your nerves about me being here seemed to have disappeared. The (Y/N) I met in the shuttle three days ago would never have talked to me like this. The (Y/N) I met three days ago would have been terrified that I would do something horrific like throw them into a black hole or lock them away forever in a box and sell it to a ferengi merchant."
"Well, back then I thought every interaction with you would mean constantly dealing with the lives of both myself and the crew!" You gave a humourless laugh, "Not making everyone on the ship attracted to me for your entertainment! Really, what could you possibly gain from this?!"
Q raised an eyebrow up at you, still lying on your bed in his silk robe. "So you're not scared of me anymore?"
"You're bored, not evil." You shrugged, "I mean, sometimes you might be trying to teach..."
And suddenly you understood.
"You wanted to show me..." you said, looking down at Q in a new light, "That it wouldn't always be life and death."
Q stood up from the bed and smiled down at you. "You humans are so easily frightened by the unknown, yet always rushing towards it out of some blundering curiosity you can barely control." He shook his head at you, "I'm not here to be some undiscovered specimen or the monster under your bed."
You smirked. "You're here for your own amusement."
Q held a rose out to you, which you took and glanced over. There was nothing special about it; just an ordinary red rose.
"Leave the worrying to Jean Luc," said Q, watching as you studied the flower. You perked up at the sound of his voice, your eyes meeting as he looked down at you earnestly. "Not everything that's unknown is a bad thing. Not everything unexpected needs to be analysed for a flaw or a trick. Sometimes, good things happen, too."
A flash of white light and Q and all the flowers on the bed were gone. Only the rose in your hand had been left behind. In the following silence, you looked down at the rose, and you smiled.

In light of today's chapter 💛
I know Riker called Data Pinocchio but I'd always felt The Little Mermaid applied to him too. I'm glad to find this cute art that tells me I'm not the only one!💖
Before MerMay ends, does anyone want to admit that The Little Mermaidesque AUs are perfect for Data and his desire to be human?

Geordi La Forge - Love Wins
Pairing: Geordi x male reader who identifies as gay Word count: 650 Rating: General Notes: I could not think of a good title, I'm sorry lol. Also, this was requested by someone on Wattpad.
Tag list: @williambutchers, @groovyfluxie, @space-helen, @anicamarei, @mrs-l-mccoy, @geordisoong [Please fill out my new google form for tag lists]
You laughed quietly, leaning back on your hands on the artificial grass of the holosuite.
Geordi laughed beside you, his head tilted back. “Those were the days,” he mused. You two had been sharing stories of your time at the academy, and it had resulted in some rather wild stories being told on both ends.
You snorted quietly. “Yeah, they certainly were.”
“Do you ever miss it?” he asked, tilting his head to look at you.
“The academy?” you asked, and he nodded. “Some days. It was… it was where I really discovered who I am, you know?”
You knew he didn’t. You were referring to you discovering your sexuality and coming out to the world as a gay man (not that it was as big a thing in the future). Geordi was straight. As straight as a pole, as far as you could tell. He always checked out feminine people, always went on dates with women. When he’d found out you were gay, he supported you and didn’t make a big deal about it. It was just normal. It was just a part of you, and as your best friend he loves everything about you. Your love for him was equally as strong and unwavering, but it had also somehow morphed into a love stronger than what you should have for a friend.
You were helplessly in love with him, but he was straight.
Geordi didn’t answer at first. He sat there with a faint smile on his face. “I envy you sometimes.”
“What?” you asked, laughing. “Why?”
“You’re so sure of who you are,” he explained and he shrugged meekly. “You know who you are, and you’re proud of who you are.”
You frowned and shifted to face him better. “You don’t know who you are?”
“I thought I did,” Geordi replied. “But…” He shrugged, voice trailing off.
You raised your eyebrows slowly and nodded to encourage him on.
A shy smile played on his lips. “I don’t know. I know everything is… subjective and always changing, but I always… I never thought…” He cleared his throat and looked at you. “I think… I think I might be in love. With a man.”
And just like that, everything you thought you knew about Geordi went out the window. He… had feelings for a man? You stared at him for only a moment. You shoved down your own feelings—mixed and confusing—and said, “Sexuality is always changing, Geordi. It isn’t written in stone. Nothing fits perfectly into a box. Sometimes, labels are restrictive. Sometimes they’re empowering. But you don’t have to use a label or stick to a label for your whole life. It’s okay if your feelings change. Those who love you won’t love you any less, you know.”
Geordi licked his lips and shrugged slightly. “Thank you. It’s just… confusing.”
“I know,” you said. You placed your hand atop his and gave him a soft smile. “I’m here for you.”
“Thank you,” he said again.
“So who’s the lucky man?” you teased, heart beating hard in your chest. So hard, you were sure he could hear it.
Geordi smiled, small but genuine. “Guess.”
“Data?” you asked, forcing out a smile.
Geordi chuckled. “No, not Data. I work with them, and they’re one of my best friends.”
Your brows furrowed as you thought of who it could be.
When he placed his hand onto your wrist, your stomach somersaulted.
“I—me?” you asked, voice but a whisper.
Geordi’s smile widened. He leaned in closer. “Yes, you.”
A tidal wave of emotions crashed over you. You opened and closed your mouth a few times, trying to come up with something, anything, to say. “Can… I kiss you?” you finally managed to ask.
Geordi didn’t answer with words, but he cupped your cheek in his hand and leaned closer.
You closed the gap, pressing your lips against those of the man you loved.

Someone Gets It: Geordi LaForge x Reader
Summary: You leave the annual officers’ ball early, and the handsome Chief Engineer finds you in a similar situation to him.
Words: 1100+
Warnings: a couple swears, mild making out
Author’s Notes: This fic is inspired by @lorenceofbaby ’s post about Geordi x reader ideas! I combined a couple of them (the awkwardly flirting in ten forward then making out and the annual officers’ ball one), hope y’all enjoy! I also might write more of the ideas at some point!
-
-
-
You honestly don’t know why you bothered going in the first place, fully aware that you’d probably spend the entire night alone. You got all dressed up, figured you’d have at least a bit of fun, but it’s not the same without anyone to enjoy it with.
Tonight is the annual officers’ ball aboard The Enterprise, almost everyone is there and celebrating another year of successful space exploration. As happy as that makes you and as much as you love your job here though, a beautiful evening of dancing and dining where nearly every other officer has a date gets a bit lonely, especially when there was a specific person you wish you could share it with.
Not that you really expected it would ever play out that way. After all, he’s one of the senior officers, why would he pay attention to someone like you? You’ve chatted maybe twice, both stumbling over your words and then moving on with your days. Nothing could ever happen between you, and you wish you could just accept your silly little crush as just that.
You scurry down the halls, trying to decide where to spend the remaining hours of the ball, somewhere no one will see you and pity you. The Holodeck is an obvious option, but you doubt some elaborate dream sequence will make you feel any better. You could just go back to your quarters, but that doesn’t appeal to you either.
You decide to just go to Ten Forward, it should be mostly empty and you can just sit in silence with a nice drink, and sure enough, there’s only a couple other people in there, plenty of tables open and no one blinks an eye as you replicate yourself a snack and drink and sit down. You gaze out the window and try to clear your head, ignoring the faint laughs and music you can still hear from here.
After a while you hear the door slide open behind you, and quickly look away as soon as you realize who it is.
Geordi La Forge. None other than the man you’ve developed a silly little crush on. Shit.
He looks around a few times, and unexpectedly heads in your direction. There’s tons of tables in here, why is he coming towards you?
“Hey, um,” he says as he approaches you. “You didn’t like the ball? I noticed you left and wanted to make sure you’re okay,”
He...wanted to check on you?
“Oh! No, I’m fine,” you lie. Although the gesture astounds you, there’s no way you’re going to tell him the truth.
“Okay. Well, you look very nice. It’s a shame no one gets to see you there,” he smiles, but it soon contorts into a frown. “What I mean is, they did see you, you were there, but you’re not right now. They’re not seeing you right now. Damn-”
“Geordi,” you laugh. “I get what you mean. Thank you for the compliment,”
The awkward conversation between the two of you is very normal, but something seems different this time. Is he actually flirting with you? Or just being nice?
“Were you not having fun either?” you ask, quickly realizing you just revealed your situation. Great.
“I wish I could say I was,” he sighs. “Maybe these kind of things just aren’t for me. I’m not very...entertaining at parties. At least not the way other people are,”
You nod, “I get that,”
“You do?”
“Yeah. I mean like, sure, I have friends, I can make decent conversation and I try to be friendly, but sometimes that’s just not enough,” you shrug. “Sometimes I’m just a little too weird for people to want to be around me, I guess. Gets a little lonely, but it is what it is,”
“You do get it,” he sits down across from you, his visor staring you down intently. “And it’s like whenever you try to connect with someone, they say you’re-”
“Too much,” you shake your head. “Mhmm,”
You watch as the tension within him visibly releases, he relaxes with a slight grin on his face.
“Do you-” he starts. “Do you want to go back to the ball? With me?”
“What, and be lonely together?” you snort.
“Why not?” he holds out his hand, and you happily take it.
He eagerly pulls you down the hallway, making it back to the ball with just over an hour to spare. It’s just as crowded and daunting as before, but entering next to him gives you a sense of comfort.
“I can’t say I’m any good at it,” he turns to you. “But would you like to dance?”
“Sure,” you beam, wrapping your arms around him.
Neither of you are very much on beat or in sync, but for the first time tonight, and possibly for hundreds of stardates, you feel completely blissful and hopeful. You’ve made more than just a friend, someone who you thought was unattainable revealed to understand you on a level no one else ever has. It’s like as soon as you clicked all the barriers came crashing down, and now you’re free to build whatever you want from it.
You dance and chat the rest of the time, past when most people have left, and you barely even notice. Regardless of if he felt the same for you before tonight, he certainly seemed different now, more confident, more comfortable. Maybe you were seeing the real him now, deeper than the surface level interactions and your imagination. You never believed those people who said once you connect with the right person, everything goes smoothly, but you’re sure considering it now.
You don’t always move so fast, but when he kisses you in the turbolift afterwards you have no intention of backing away, if anything you immediately deepen the kiss and wrap your arms around his neck, feeling his hair and telling the computer to go somewhere else every minute to delay the doors opening. You never could’ve imagined how good of a kisser he’d be, yet another surprise to add to the list.
Eventually the doors do have to open though, and you barely break away before someone sees you. He takes your hand again and drags you out with him, unable to contain a smirk as you stumble down the corridor.
He walks you back to your quarters, taking a deep breath as he squeezes both your hands.
“I had a great time with you tonight,” he says. “I still can’t believe it,”
“Me neither,” you chuckle. “But I had an amazing time too,”
“Would you want to do it again sometime?” he asks. “I mean of course if you want it to just be a one time thing that’s fine, but I don’t know, I think this-”
“This could work?” you smile, finishing his sentence once again.
“Yeah. I really think this could work,”
“Me too,” you kiss him one last time. “Goodnight, Geordi,”
He waves as you close the door, a cheeky grin still plastered across his lips.

Star Trek TNG Men Reacting to a Sudden Confession! (x M!Reader)(mutual pining)
(Worf, Data, Will, Picard, Geordi)
Worf
Surprised, but very confused and refuses to show it
Mentally freaking out but physically stoic, rejects you at first- then asks to think about it- then accepts your feelings about three days later.
Asks if you are joking initially and orders you back to your station, but you stay in his mind for every waking moment(and asleep moment!) thinking about how a human/klingon romance would work between two men... two men kissing... battling for dom-"YES WORF SPEAKING WHAT IS NEEDED?"
Data
"as an artificial intelligence bot, I-" chat GPT aa
Curious and asks a bunch of questions (how did you know you were in love? What made you confess? What about me drew you to romantic attraction?)
Would accept your feelings and offer a trial relationship period to see and study how people act in romantic situations- after all, that information is hard to come by!
Will/Riker
RizzLord96 over here with a charming smile and a witty remark to your confession. If he's in the mood, he'll kiss your hand and remark about he knew he still had it.
He gives "fuck on the first date" energy, so just like... be prepared?
He'd call you cute for confessing and charms you to death with flirty remarks but mentally freaking about how to handle this.
Picard
maaaan rip this man will insta reject you even if he likes you back. He's so sacrificial that he'll tell you "it's for the greater good"
Just know that you're all he thinks about.
You're like a plague in his mind, a fever he can't sweat out. Definitely regrets his actions for a long while when you give him longing stares from across the hallways.
Geordi
Probably the most chill out of the group ngl a "really? Me?" and a "Wow, I never expected you to like me back, man."
little shy smiles from across the room and awkward waves, lunch minidates where you two lowkey dance around actually flirting but the mutual affection is clear as day to anyone who sees you two
secret Lore
RIP TO LORE HE HAS NEVER ENCOUNTERED THIS BEFORE
"Oh! Of course I knew this was coming. It was obviously written all over your face." (he did not know and it's burning up his wires inside that he's flustered)
short circuits a little bit but acts all high and mighty about "seducing" you so easily.

a cup of tea for the handsome man ♡ geordi la forge x reader
anon: OKAY concept: Geordi had a failed valentines date, and reader (who crushes hard) is like “bruh hang out with MEEE” a la Taylor swifts “you belong with me”
gender neutral reader, geordi ain’t straight,
gif doesn’t really match but it’s cute ok! not proof read.
‘Maybe you can accompany my friend Geordi La Forge today.’ Data bluntly asks as you both walk down a stone covered street.
‘Data, I swear to the stars, stop!’ you whine to your android friend who currently still wears his yellow dress uniform despite it being shore leave.
‘I am only asking because Geordi seems to be by himself.’ Data holds up the cat carrier that he holds, wiggling his finger to Spot, ‘Please calm down Spot.’
You are Lieutenant (Y/n) (l/n), though most people call you (y/n) and ever since you have met Data you have both been found friends. You are interested in robotics and androids, so the friendship came naturally.
However, Data doesn’t have many out of work friends. He mostly hangs around you, Spot and a very handsome man by the name of Geordi La Forge.
‘Just because I’m your friend does not mean I’m automatically his, Data.’ You tug at the draw strings of your oversized hoodie straighten the out strings.
‘Yes, but you are technically mutuals for you both have me as your friend.’ Data looks at you with a blank stare, ‘And you are normally alone so you need another friend.’
If you haven’t been friends with the yellow tinted man then you would have told him off.
It is somewhat true; you do spend a lot of time in engineering and most of your really good friends are stationed on different ships. But you want to spend you shore leave on earth doing something fun, not awkwardly trying to befriend Geordi La Forge, a man you have fancied for quite a while.
If Data has some more common sense the he would see your heart eyes towards his dear friend but he doesn’t; all he sees is a hermit engineer who needs a buddy whilst Data isn’t around.
‘Data, why has this come on? I’m alone most of the time!’ you have plans and it doesn’t involve trying not to out your crush to a clueless Geordi or Data.
‘I just do not want my friends be lonely.’
Data’s eyebrows frown as you two stop in front of a veterinary practice.
‘Just because me and Geordi will be alone when you take Spot to get her check-up doesn’t mean we will be lonely.’
‘But you will both be alone.’ he deliberates.
‘We will be fine Data.’ You place a hand on your friend’s arm, ‘If you want, we can all meet up after Spot’s check up and I can officially meet Geordi, ok?’
‘I would like that very much (y/n).’ Data sincerely smiles.
He nods his head and then walks into the small vets.
You shake you head in amusement at your dear friend’s worry as you begin walking down the street.
‘Data, data, data.’ You think with an amused smile blooming on your face.
For about ten minutes you wonder the streets aimlessly, looking at the plants that grown up the shop fronts and the old Roman roads. Benches are in the middle of the ‘roads’ that are really used for pedestrians to walk on, tram cars sliding by the painting like scenery.
Whilst wondering a small alleyway catches your eyes.
It’s not a dingy alleyway with bins and a dead end but it’s actually a little nook filled with cafes and small hobby shops.
Looking both ways you walk across the street into the alley, every bump of the pathway felt even in you tick soled trainers.
Passing a few shops your eyes land on a small round of metal tables, some filled with people, outside a small two-story café.
You walk in, a heartly woman automatically greeting you from the counter at the back. The place is very small and thin but it does not feel claustrophobic. There is a cottage core vibe to it, the place lit up by the huge widows at the front and the fairy lights shaped like hearts.
The downstairs seems to be the place to order food and drink, a peak of a small kitchen at the back can be seen from an open door past the counter.
‘Um hello.’ You say back to the woman whilst you wipe your feet on the welcome mat, ‘What’s good here?’
‘Well first are you allergic to anything my dear?’
You answer the question and tell the woman what kind of tea you like.
‘Well because today is Valentine’s day, we have our cake special that I think is perfect for you!’
You look at the slice of cake the woman points at in the little display case.
‘It’s freshly baked, I made it just this morning!’
‘Yeah, sure, it looks nice. I’ll have a slice.’ You need to indulge yourself every now and then.
She slides a cup of your favourite tea and a slice of cake to you. You pay with you card, leaving a good tip.
‘The upstairs is the best place sit.’ She says as you take your plate and cup.
With a nod you ascend the steps to the upstairs to see the prettiest room you’ve ever seen.
The room’s roof is a giant glass window and there is many potted plants that look like they’re growing up the walls. Tables are littered around, each one with a different flower on it, some customers are using the built in holo computer screens.
You find a small two four person table near the back and you sit down breathing in the faint smell of pollen that doesn’t actually tickle your nose into a sneeze.
‘Hum, could be fake plants?’ you think as you take a sip of your tea.
.
.
For a while you just eat and browse the holo screen at your table, emersed and doom scrolling through blogs about robotics.
You had sent a message to Data telling him where you are and telling him to come here when he was done with Spot’s check up.
It must have been half an hour at staring at the screen. You had finished the pink decorated cake and your tea was almost done as well.
With achy eyes you peer up and look around the room.
There seems to be the same people albeit a couple new faces.
In on corner to your right is a mother with her child who you hadn’t noticed, an older person sits clicking on old keyboard laptop and a new younger man sits waiting next to the giant window overlooking the alleyway.
Even though this man is far away you can tell that he’s a good looking man. Said person wears a short sleeve patterned button down reminiscent of the 1990’s, the blues stripes bold against the cottage core interior of the café. The shirt is tucked into some brown slacks, that are rolled up at the bottom and held up by a shiny black belt. Block coloured peek out from his trousers and equally shiny black shoes.
If you would try to pull off such a vintage outfit but all you ever wear is your work uniform or oversized hoodies, making you look like a in debt college student. Right now you look like a in debt college student in your Starfleet branded hoodie and shorts that are comfy but childish in colour scheme.
‘I bet this café attracts all the fashionable types.’ You think sipping the last of your tea only to spit out in surprise.
The man in the retro shirt turns around only to reveal a very familiar yellow and silver visor.
‘Fuck, he’s even more good looking!’ your mind becomes scrambled, ‘Was he always there? Does he know I’m here? Should I go over and say hi?’
Your eyes stay on Geordi as he keeps on peering out of the big window, him looking like he’s waiting for someone.
‘Maybe he’s waiting for Data?’ it’s a logical assumption that Data told him to meet him in the café you are in. A check up for a cat doesn’t take that long right?
You leave you cup and plate on you table and start to edge your way over to the handsome man.
You’re not sure if what you’re doing is right but you step next to his table, with a big smile on your face and hand raised up in a too enthusiastic wave.
‘Geordi La Forge, right?
Geordi’s snaps up to yours, his face looks slightly confused in that puppy kid of way.
‘Sorry, I’m (y/n), Data’s friend.’ you stop waving so you don’t look so odd, ‘Um, I saw you here and wanted to say that Data will be coming here after Spot’s vet appointment. Sooooo, if you want to join, my table is free.’
Whilst you happily talk Geordi’s face morphs into a sweet smile. You quickly look down to his two person table to see to sets of cups and two slices of heart themed cupcakes, clearly for another half.
‘Though you don’t have too if you have plans.’
‘He talks about you a lot.’ Geordi declares, ‘Too much sometimes.’
‘Well I am a brilliant person.’ you lean against the window trying to look cool but the hoodie you drown in just makes you look dishevelled.
There is an awkward pause before you just stop leaning as start walking away.
‘I see you might be busy, so I’m over here-‘ you point over to your table, ‘-yeah.’
With some more muttered pleasantries you shuffle back to your table hoping tha he doesn’t find you too weird. With you bum on the seat you wave you hand at the holo screen unlocking it from it’s sleeping state before quickly looking up to catch Geordi looking at you.
With another odd wave you hunch down and resume reading an article cybernetic enhancements in the medical field but every ten minutes or so you have to look up at Geordi.
One time you looked up he was staring out the window, another time he was stirring his drink like it was the most interesting thing in the world, and now you’re looking at him rapidly typing out something on a communicator.
With your tea and cake devoured you quickly stand up to go downstairs to order some more tea. You look around and hope that no one takes your table, the tope floor is pretty empty now, and the holo screen on the table is still on.
It takes about five minutes but you bound up the stairs with not one but two cups of tea.
Hurried you head over to Geordi’s table and slide him one of you cups, making the man look up to you with another look of confusion.
‘Hot tea turned cold isn’t the best so I got you another cup.’ and with another small wave you walk back your table.
‘Smooth (y/n), he’s going to like me now!’ a Cheshire cat grin blooms as you take a sip of you drink.
As you fangirl/fanboy over your ‘move’ a person slides in the seat opposite you.
‘Is it still ok to sit.’ Geordi asks holding his cup of tea.
‘Well you’re technically already sitting down.’ you turn of the holo screen with your hand, ‘But you can stay, if that’s what you’re asking.’
You look at Geordi, gaze unchanged, confidence oozing out of you.
‘I’d imagine that Data will be here soon.’ you lean forward a bit, ‘So we should acquaint each other before he does.’
‘I guess you already know who I am. I know who you are… thank you for the tea by the way.’
‘I don’t want to be a nosy so and so but why were you alone.’ You ask hoping you don’t sound rude.
‘I can ask the same thing to you.’ He quips back.
‘Had nothing to do and went exploring, found thing place. You?’ you press.
‘I got stood up.’ He plainly puts it, ‘Was chatting to someone in engineering and yeah…’
Geordi looks deflated as he gulps his drink.
‘Which dick stood you up, I can set my robot on them.’ he looks up at you with a bright smile.
‘You have a robot?’
‘It’s my thing.’
Another pause o silence happens before Geordi speaks.
‘Lieutenant James Sibell.’ as he says the name a disgusted scoff comes from you lips, your face distorted in disgusted.
‘That bastard man!’ you hand fly up in a comical rage, ‘Good job you have me to keep you company.’
Geordi laughs at your words, a small pit of joy growing in his heart, he must tell Data later that he has a good friend in you and that he should have introduced you two sooner.
.
.
Data step up the stairs of the café, spot in her cat carrier, and a slice of cake.
He only bought the cake out of curiosity, the cake having rainbow icing and little sugar heart shaped sweets on top.
When he gets to the top he automatically scans the room. His eyes land on a table near the back, his two closets friends chatting together, both sitting rather close.
.
.
.
i have no clue if this is good. it’s long-ish but that doesn't necessarily equate to it being the best.
please tell me if it’s good or not.

HOW THEY KISS YOU
how the tng men kiss you
CW: kissing, suggestive, gn!reader
CAST: jean-luc picard, will riker, data, geordi la forge, worf
JEAN-LUC - like every aspect of his life, jean-luc’s kisses are careful and well-thought out. they are never random or meaningless (though, he never considers any kiss to be devoid of meaning). and being as patient as he is, your lips are never really his first target. jen-luc is constantly thinking strategically - a cheek kiss when he’s leaving early in the morning, a nose kiss when you’re cross with him, a chin kiss while laying in bed and he’s too content to move a single inch higher. and he saves those lip kisses for when you have his complete and utter attention, and he wants his actions to speak louder than his words.
WILL - the tax for getting a kiss from will is having to hear a joke that might hit or miss. 99% of the time, a kiss is preceded with some flirtatious remark or silly joke or even a genuine compliment on how drop dead gorgeous you are in that exact moment. will nearly always leads the kiss - he’s always the one who wants more, goes deeper, stays longer. he prefers to be touching you in some place other than your mouth, like an arm around your waist, your thighs over his hips, or even something as simple as his hand against your cheek. and of course, you can expect a lot of kisses from our number one.
DATA - honestly, you’ll have to teach him how to kiss with more fluidity and passion because data has 100% only been reading guides or watching demonstrations on how to properly kiss a loved one. he’s got the spirit, if that’s any consolation - he knows to run his hands over your arms and legs, and allow you chances to breathe before swooping right back in, and even use just a little tongue (though, he’s definitely not proficient in the more advanced levels of kissing). whether or not he’s very good at it, it’s still very wholesome to see him try and ask how you’re feeling and constantly try to learn new information. and let’s not forget that data is a very quick study - he’ll be surprising you before you even know it.
GEORDI - soft and gentle, like whispers on your skin, geordi really takes his time and makes sure each kiss is good and perfect. he isn’t a fan of rushed, sloppy kisses behind corners - no, geordi likes taking your face in his hands, says something corny to make you smile, and then kisses you while you’re still struggling to stifle your laugh long enough to enjoy it. though, as an engineer, geordi knows that there’s usually several different ways to come to the same conclusion - which, of course, is making you blush. so his kisses sometimes migrate down to the backs of your knuckles, or up to the junction of your neck and shoulder, maybe even behind your ear if he’s feeling extra. but his default is always your lips - they’re what he knows best.
WORF - i don’t have to tell you that Klingon kisses are far from what humans usually give one another. and to worf’s credit, he does try it your way in the beginning. teaching himself to slow down, be tender, don’t use his teeth so much even though his body screams at him to just bite down… he refrains, and it’s usually just in his most primal moments that he gets really rough. some tiny part of him feels bad when you need to show up for your shift the next morning with marks peeking out from under your collar - but that’s just a tiny part, and worf enjoys seeing those marks almost as much as he enjoyed putting them there.

Uncle
Words: 750
Pairing: Geordi x Reader but it’s mainly Friend!Data x Geordi and Reader?
A/N: I had this idea after a conversation with @deeppandanerdbatty No mention as to the gender of the reader or if the baby is adopted or not so it should be inclusive to all!
_________________
Life with a baby had been different to say the least. Your five month old, Michael, was everything you could ever want and you couldn’t think of anyone better to raise a child with.
“I’ll see you later.” you kissed Geordi on the cheek, before kissing your son and leaving your quarters for work.
“So it’s just you and me kid. What should we do?” he paced around the room with the boy in his arms. “How about we go and see who’s in Ten Forward?”
The baby babbled “I knew you’d agree with me.”
Geordi carried Michael to Ten Forward, smiling at everyone as he passed, he really enjoyed showing off his baby. Spotting Data sat at a table he quickly moved over and slid into a seat. “Data, how you doing?”
“I am well Geordi. How are you.”
“I’m good thanks, just thought we’d enjoy some time outside of our quarters.”
Data nodded “and how are you baby LaForge?”
Geordi smiled “Michael’s doing ok.Y/N’s working the night shift, so it’s just me and this little guy tonight.”
“Y/N does not usually work the night shift. This is unusual”
“Yeah well, they decided to swap shifts with Ensign Page.”
“Are you in need of any assistance looking after Michael?” Data questioned looking at the boy
“I’m fine. What sort of father would I be if I wasn’t?”
Data looked away before looking back at Geordi “May I spend time with you both?”
“Of course you can, you know Michael loves hanging out with uncle Data.”
“Uncle Data? Geordi it is impossible that I am the child’s Uncle.”
“It’s just an expression. We tend to use it when we have a close friend, who we regard as family.”
Data looked like he was mulling things over. “I am honoured that you regard me as family.”
Michael leant his weight towards Data “I think he wants you.” Geordi offered the baby to the man and Data took the baby, he was finally getting used to holding him correctly.
Geordi was sat on the sofa watching Data and Michael, the two of them on the floor playing together, Michael lying on a play mat and Data held a stuffed animal in his hand
Geordi lay back in the sofa and let his eyes slip closed. It didn’t take long for Data to notice. Standing up he picked up the baby and got him ready for bed, putting him down to sleep before moving into the living area and taking a seat.
He thought things over, he didn’t want to leave the baby alone and didn’t want to wake up Geordi. Opting to stay he took a seat and made himself comfy.
Finishing your shift you walked back to your quarters. Entering them everything was normal, the room was dark and it was silent.
“Y/N.” you jumped, Data’s voice scaring you.
“Data? Lights to 50 percent.” You saw the man standing from his seat.
“I am sorry if I startled you. Your husband fell asleep so I put Michael to bed. However, I did not want to leave the baby alone.”
You smiled, knowing Data loved the baby as much as you two did “thank you Data. I appreciate it.” opening your arms you hugged the man. “You’re welcome to stay the rest of the night.”
“I do not wish to overstay my welcome. Spot is probably wondering where I am. Goodnight Y/N” the man nodded at you before swiftly leaving.
You moved to the back of the sofa and ran your fingers down the side of Geordi’s face before placing a quick kiss to his cheek. His eyes fluttered open “Y/N you’re back already?” he smiled before sitting up abruptly and looking at the floor where Data and Michael had been.
“It’s alright, Data put Michael to bed and stayed until I got back, he’s only just left.”
Geordi smiled “I called him uncle Data earlier and I think it shocked him.”
“We’re surrounded by a lot of good people here but Data has to be one of the best.” as if on cue Michael started crying, you moved to go and see to him but Geordi captured your hand.
“Let me.” jumping to his feet, he jogged to the baby and picked him up, rocking him in his arms.
You stood in the doorframe and admired the two. Your family was beautiful and you were so glad you’d found each other.

Star Trek TNG
CHARACTER(S):
Q x GN!Reader
GENRE:
Mystery, sci-fi, humour
WARNINGS:
None
SUMMARY:
Reader is the unfortunate pawn in Q's game... until they become the sole player.
Think
Life had been good to you lately. Not only had you just been promoted from an ensign to a lieutenant, you had also been reassigned to the Enterprise. An engineer on the flagship of the Federation. Your family was ecstatic when they heard the news.
At first you thought it would be stressful serving aboard such an important starship, but you were pleasantly surprised at how nice everyone was. The head engineer, Geordi La Forge, was definitely no nonsense when it came to work, yet every time you two spoke it felt like you both had been friends for years. Any difficulty you encountered you always had at least five people to turn to for help at any moment. The Enterprise really was as good as everyone said it was.
The living quarters alone made your jaw drop. No ship you had ever served on had quarters quite as good, nor beds quite as soft. You were truly beginning to wonder what good deeds you had done to deserve such blissful karma.
Naturally, you soon found out the hard way what the price of heaven was.
Chaos had erupted on the ship. People were being thrown around by shifting gravity, consoles around engineering were sparking, and the warp core was making a strange whirring noise that made your skull vibrate. You weren't sure what was happening exactly, only that the entity known as 'Q' was involved somehow.
That wasn't good. You had heard of Q. Everyone in Starfleet knew about the godlike entity that put humanity on trial for barbarity. You had hoped that it wouldn't appear again while you were stationed on the Enterprise, but apparently you weren't that lucky.
Geordi was yelling out to Captain Picard over the intercom while gripping for dear life to one of the consoles. You were hugged against a wall, trying to hold on from being thrown into the ceiling. Just as you lost your grip and flew forward through the air, you landed hard, face first, on a smooth metal floor. The gravity had stopped shifting. It was dark. You looked up and squinted around at what now appeared to be the interior of a shuttlecraft.
"What the...?"
You were alone. The Enterprise was nowhere in sight. You went to the shuttle console and did a quick scan of the local area.
Nothing.
No Enterprise. No planets. Nothing.
Somehow, you had been transported onto a shuttlecraft right out in the middle of nowhere. Judging by the distance of the stars from where you were, you definitely didn't have enough power to go and find a planet or moon to land on. For some reason, this was your life now.
"Better try and send a distress signal anyway," you murmered to yourself as you repeatedly tried and failed to reach Starfleet. "Never know if someone is nearby to help."
"I doubt it," a voice scoffed from the seat beside yours. You startled and snapped around to see a man dressed in a Starfleet captain's uniform. He was leaning back against the shuttle window with one leg crossed over the other and staring you down with thinly veiled contempt.
"Who the hell are you?!" you yelled, completely forgetting your Starfleet training on rules of civilised conduct in possible first contact situations. If your old tutor could see you now, all flustered and loud and rude, they would be hanging their head in shame.
The man gave a mildly amused smile. "Q," he replied. "I would apologise for snatching you from your tedious duties, lieutenant, but unless you humans now find being flung about a room to be an important part of engineering, then I think you being here is a far better use for your existence."
"You're Q?"
"Indeed I am! I know, this must be quite a spectacular moment for you. You must be asking yourself, 'what could an omnipotent being possibly want with a lowly, insignificant human such as me?' Well, as it happens, you have been randomly selected to be one of twenty crew members your dear captain has to rescue in my little game."
Panic swelled within you. "And what happens if he loses?"
"Lost forever in an alternate dimension. Everything you see out of these windows," he tapped on the glass with his index knuckle, "is all just a bubble of your own dimension put here by yours truly. I guarantee if you saw what this dimension was truly like we would be here all day scraping your poor melted brain off the floor."
You stared out of the windows at the distant stars, or at least the illusion of stars that had been put there for your benefit. You didn't know whether to be in awe of the fact that you were literally where no human had gone before or to huddle down in your seat and cry.
You did neither - not with Q sitting right next to you, scrutinising your every move like you were the sole example of your entire species and he was wondering whether or not to squish you all under his boot. He seemed relaxed, if not a little bored by you, but you didn't want to sway his opinion one way or the other. This was the single most powerful creature Starfleet had ever encountered. The last thing you wanted to do was piss it off.
"Well, while you come to terms with what's happening to you and where you are," said Q, breaking the brief silence that had fallen over the shuttlecraft as you gawked out the windows, "I'll be off talking to more interesting people. Farewell!"
With a quick wave goodbye, he vanished in a burst of white light, leaving you utterly alone. You weren't sure whether you or not you were relieved that he was gone. With a sigh, you sat back in your seat and waited.
Captain Picard was a smart and honourable man. You knew he would save you and the others, even if that meant playing whatever game Q had come up with to torment him.
Hours later and you were still waiting alone, in the dark, in the dreadful silence. You had taken to humming to yourself and inspecting your fingernails to pass the time. At the very least Q could have left you a book or some sort of indication of how long you would be waiting.
A flash of white light in the seat next to you startled you upright. Out of the brief flash appeared Q with a disgruntled look planted on his face.
"You humans," he sneered. "Honestly, I don't know why I waste my time with you! How can such a simple concept elude you all so consistently?!"
"Um... Hello to you, too?" you replied awkwardly.
Q huffed, apparently unimpressed by your response. He held up his hand and in a smaller flash of white light a deep blue spherical device appeared in his hand. He held it out to you, which you took from him without hesitation.
"Your beloved Picard has failed my game, as have all other nineteen of your stranded crew. Now it's your turn to play. If you can't figure it out, then that's it - no more chances. You're getting abandoned out here along with your nineteen other crewmates. I really can't be bothered to be charitable at this point, so you had better think hard on this."
"No pressure then," you muttered to yourself as you turned your attention down to the sphere in your hands.
There was a single screen on the front of the sphere. From what you could tell, it was touch sensitive. On the screen it read:
Unknown [?] In [?]
[?] [?] to [?] [CONFIRM]
You pondered the text for a while as Q summoned himself a book to read while he waited. Finally, after studying the text for some time, you asked.
"What dimension am I in?"
"Fourteenth," Q answered, not even bothering to look up from his book.
"Fourteenth?!" you repeated, stunned. "How many dimensions are there?!"
"More than you could possibly comprehend."
"Oh boy..."
A smirk flitted across Q's face as he studied his book. "If it's any consolation, I never really intended for you to be doing this. This was supposed to be Picard's challenge, but he failed and I guess I'm going soft. I've decided to give you all a chance to save yourselves. So far it's proving too much for all of you. Let's hope for your sake you do better than your predecessors , though I sincerely doubt it."
"Thanks for the support."
Q gave you a wide smile, completely ignoring your blatant sarcasm. "You're very welcome."
With a weary sigh, you turned back to the device in your hands. You pressed the first box in the text and a keyboard with the numbers one to nine popped up at the bottom of the screen. You pressed three. In the second box you typed fourteen. When you had exited the second box the text on the screen reloaded itself.
1 [3] in [14]
[?] [?] to [?] [CONFIRM]
"One three dimensional being in the fourteenth dimension," you confirmed.
"Congratulations," Q said half-heartedly. "You're already further than some of your comrades."
"And the second part relocates the being detected to another dimension?"
A sparkle came to Q's eye. He sat his book down on the shuttle console and peered at you with an impish smile on his lips.
"You've gotten as far as Picard, then, but how do you plan on finding all twenty of your crewmates scattered across the dimensions? You could spend the rest of your life searching, but I don't have the patience for that. Picard got to the ninth dimension before I realised he would actually sit there for years, going from dimension to dimension, until he found all twenty of you. I'm not sitting around for that."
"Can't I just...?" You pressed the second box in the text and brought up the keyboard. You had noticed earlier that there was a small black arrow in the bottom corner. You clicked it and the keyboard turned to the alphabet. You typed 'all' in the second box. When you exited the box, the text reloaded itself again. You then carefully entered the same numbers to the second part of the text.
8498512086340724549371025753 [3] in [all]
[8498512086340724549371025753] [3] to [3] [CONFIRM]
"That looks about right to me," you said, turning the screen to Q. He took one look at your work and that sparkle came to his eye again.
"You hope."
You didn't let his words deter you. You felt confident that you had it figured it out. Still, as your finger hovered over the confirmation button, you couldn't help the tiny lingering doubt that you were not only risking your life, but the life of every other three dimensional being in existence.
But that pleased look worming its way onto Q's face out of the corner of your eye said it all. You pressed the button.
Suddenly you were falling flat on your butt in the middle of the bridge, along with the nineteen other crewmembers. The bridge crew ogled all twenty of you as you all picked yourselves back up in a confused daze. Captain Picard's eyes instantly locked onto the device still clasped in your hand and relief swept over the man.
"I see Q thought it fitting to give you a chance to save yourselves," said Picard, a light smile pulling onto his face. "Lieutenant...?"
You blinked a couple of times, trying to wrap your head around the fact that you were back on the Enterprise and the captain was speaking to you directly.
"(Y/N), sir," you answered.
"Lieutenant (Y/N), of course. Well, lieutenant, I expect a full briefing of your experience on my desk by tomorrow, and that goes for the rest of you, too. For now, I'd like you all to head down to medical, and (Y/N), you can give that device to -"
In a flash of white light the device disappeared from your hand. Picard gave an exasperated sigh.
"Never mind, lieutenant. Please, head on down to medical with the others, and I'd like to add that you have my sincerest gratitude for completing Q's game."
"Yes, sir," you replied. "Thank you, sir."
Your trip to medical was quick. There had been no side effects from being trapped in an alternate dimension. You suspected that was mainly because of Q's bubble of influence. He wanted you all to solve his game, not dissolve in it.
Tired and sore after a long and unusual day, you returned to your quarters in the hopes of getting your briefing to the captain written out quickly before getting a good night's sleep. However, upon entering your room you found none other than Q himself, lazing across your bed, grinning at you.
"There you are!" he greeted cheerfully. "A trip to medical? I do hope Doctor Crusher's bedside manner has improved since I was forced to be her patient. What a dreadful time that was."
"What are you doing here?!" you asked, shocked and more than a little frightened. You thought completing his game meant that he would leave you alone, that you were safe.
"How rude!" he cried in mock offence. "I'm merely here to offer you my congratulations!"
"Oh, well... Thank you, I guess."
"Oh, don't thank me yet," he grinned, practically bouncing with excitement. "Just wait until I tell you what your reward is!"
Your stomach dropped. "R-Reward?"
"Me!" he exclaimed, sitting up on his knees and spreading his arms out wide. "From now on, I'm going to drop in all the time to make your dull little life more interesting!"
Oh no.
"But it wasn't even that hard a game!" you argued.
"Ugh!" Q rolled his eyes and put his hands on his hips. "I know! And yet you were the only one to figure it out!"
"You're telling me this is all happening because the captain didn't see an arrow on a keyboard?!"
"It's shameful, isn't it?" said Q, shaking his head. His eyes brightened. "Luckily, I have a brand new human to focus on! I'll admit, I didn't expect this outcome when we first met, but who doesn't love a pleasant surprise?" He chuckled lightly before throwing you a wink. "I'll see you soon."
In a flash of white light he was gone. You stood alone in your living quarters, alarmed and upset.
"I just wanted to be an engineer!"

[Geordi La Forge] For What It’s Worth
♫ - Dream Weaver - Gary Wright
Introverted was how you would describe yourself. You were never one to involve yourself in social events or make the first move when it came to conversation, or ideas, or anything. Quietly getting through life was how you liked it. Which is why, when you came to be on the Enterprise, you were shocked to find yourself with so many friends.
Right from day one, people had come to you and talked, making you feel welcome. Building solid foundations of friendship with your crewmates was something you had been worried about after your graduation, yet they made it seem effortless; before you knew it, you felt like you'd been there for years.
Being an engineer, you naturally made quick friends of those around you, including Lieutenant Commander Data and the chief engineer, Geordi La Forge. The pair seemed to take to you very well, as did you them. Soon enough, the three of you were practically inseparable. Every moment outside of the work shifts were spent exploring the holodeck or running random experimental tests down in the engineering rooms. You couldn't have asked for anyone better to spend the time with.
Through it, you had become closer to Geordi as your mission went on. You were sure you saw him as more than a friend, but held off telling him because you hadn't thought he'd feel the same. Tempted to talk to Data about it, but held off, instead deciding to keep it to yourself.
It wasn't until Geordi began to act distant that you spoke to Data. What sparked it was when you arrived in engineering for the start of your shift to find Geordi and Data talking in the corner. Thinking nothing of it, you began setting up and caught their glances over at you (Data wasn't the most subtle, lets say that.) Furrowing your brows, you continued regardless, and watched out of the corner of your eye as Geordi handed Data a PADD headed out of the door.
"Data, is Geordi alright?" your voice was wrought with concern, and the android tilted his head.
"Geordi is fine, he has a lot to complete today so it will only be us for now."
Raising an eyebrow, you set your own PADD down and stared at Data.
"We both know that's not quite true, don't we?"
"I would not lie, Y/N, Geordi has asked we complete these tests, shall we?" He gestured to the table in front of you, and with a huff, you got on with it.
Half way through your day, Geordi made his second appearance, again for no more than a couple of minutes. He only spoke to Data, a quaint nod your way as a greeting. Once he'd left, you grabbed Data's sleeve.
"So will you tell me what's going on now?"
"Geordi came in to check on-"
"No. He hasn't spoken to me all day, or the past couple of days for that matter. He's never this quiet, and if he is he'll usually talk to me about it. Am I some sort of problem for him?" Your voice was fairly harsh, and you were thankful you were the only two in the lab at the time. You felt awful for raising your voice at Data, but you knew it was the only way to get what you needed.
"You are far from a problem, Y/N."
"Then what is it?"
Data didn't know how to reply, so he took your PADD off you and placed a hand on your shoulder. Displays of care on his half were always sweet, despite the fact he still didn't know how to properly express it, and it warmed your heart.
"Geordi believes he is in love with you, however does not think you feel the same way. The distance he is putting between you is his attempt at distancing himself from it, in hopes it may go away."
"He.. loves me?"
"Indeed. Perhaps you should go and talk to him, and tell him you feel the same."
Your head shot up and you were met with Data's smug face, if ever he could have such an expression.
"The same?"
"It is very obvious, though Geordi seems oblivious. I have caught how you look at him, Y/N, now go and tell him."
You wanted to be mad, you wanted to argue, but you knew he was right. A smile graced your face and you kissed his cheek in thanks. He gave you a small hint of a smile as you left, heading down the corridor to Geordi's quarters.
Reaching the door, you were greeted with a confused looking man, clearly not expecting your arrival, or anyone's for that matter.
"Y/N, uh, hello." Geordi's voice was nervous almost, and you smiled at him.
"May I come in?" You asked, and he nodded as he stepped aside to allow you entry. You took his hands in yours and he looked rather surprised.
"What's going on with you?" You asked him softly, and he squeezed your hands every so slightly. His face looked as though he was pondering talking, and you brushed your thumb over his hand.
"I- I haven't been myself lately, I know. I've had a lot going on, a lot to think about.." he trailed off, and you nodded for him to continue. "And, I think I may have realised I'm in love with someone who doesn't love me back."
You pretended like you weren't already aware, shooting him a smile.
"That's great Geordi, who's the lucky person?" you teased, and he laughed.
"That would give it away, wouldn't it?" Geordi looked down at the floor, embarrassed. You gave up your act, feeling somewhat guilty. Taking his face in your hands, you lifted his head up.
"Geordi.." trailing off, you sighed. Bringing his lips to yours, a warm feeling rose in you when you felt him kiss back. He wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you closer. Finally breaking the kiss, you leaned back and looked at him. Shocked, but beaming, the two of you shared a look of love. It felt homely to be stood in his arms, and to have him love you back.
"For what it's worth, I love you, too."
