Elrond had paced the near-empty classroom with a mind that was tangled in knots. His fists clenched tighter than his nerves. ‘ What am I doing? This is wildly inappropriate… I’m a teacher!’ He took a heavy sigh that even his last student noticed.

Glug tilted his head, even for his young age, he was sure his teacher had secrets today. “Mr.Peredel, are you ok?” the tiny uruk child looked up at his teacher with worry.

Elrond snapped back to reality, gasping when he tripped over his feet. Luckily his Hands caught the side of his desk saving himself from a nasty fall. “ Yes, I’m fine. I’m only thinking, little one,” he replied. Technically that wasn’t a lie.

Glug raised a brow wildly unconvinced but the urukling didn’t push it. Instead, he decided to observe. A wide smile scribbled itself over his face when he spied Mr.Peredel pull out a large bundle of what looked like tiny white flowers on thin stems, just as his papa pulled up in front of the school. Then a little idea popped into his head. With a mischievous grin, the urukling ran out the side door of his kindergarten class building.

The elven teacher’s eyes widened in fright, “Glug! You can’t just run out like that!” Elrond rushed to the door hoping that no other cars were roaming the parking lot.

The urukling ran past Adar giggling before hopping into the car “ Teacher wants to talk with you, papa!”

Adar raised a brow in response, looking between his snickering son and at Elrond who stood in the exit doorway with his jaw hanging slack as embarrassment rose to his cheeks. A small smirk curled over his lips. The man was very handsome. He'd thought so since his son’s first day of school. A seductive chuckle left his throat when he approached the fidgeting elf. “So what is it that you need to talk to me about?” The uruk leaned in a bit closer to eye Elrond’s gorgeous figure.

“Uh, Oh.. Right. I thought you might be able to. To use these.” The teacher fumbled his words realizing he wasn’t holding the item of interest. “If you’ll excuse me.” Elrond nervously tripped over his feet on his way to his desk. Then, he rushed back, nearly dropping a large fragrant bouquet of chamomile. The bundle was tied with a wide black ribbon. “For you from my garden.” He finally held them out with a frazzled grin.

Adar’s chuckling ceased, suddenly a smile broke out wide across his face. No one had ever thought to give him flowers, not even his ex had done such a thing for him. His heart throbbed with delight, causing his own cheeks to burn. He was momentarily speechless but gladly took the gift. “Thank you.” his voice came out an octave shyer than he had intended. He dipped his face down to take in the soothing scent. Butterflies suddenly began to flutter in his stomach. “You grew these?” the uruk asked, quite impressed.

Elrond blushed deeper, realizing he may have zoned out. “Oh! You’re welcome, and yes, I did.” The elf rubbed the back of his head sheepishly before speaking again. "Chamomile has many uses. I noticed you always look tired, so… perhaps you may brew them for a nighttime tea? Or as an additive to a bath? Though you may want to dry them out.”

“They’re beautiful; I’m sure I’ll find lots of uses for them” A dreamy expression crept onto his face as he gazed at the stammering elf before him.

Elrond felt his face warm up, then resisted the urge to fan himself. With a gulp, he gathered the courage to finally speak up “I um… was wondering if you were free this-”

Adar smirked, cutting the elf off “Saturday, at six. I’ll have a sitter for Glug by then. You already have my number ‘teacher’.” He smirked, grabbing Elrond by the tie. He yanked the elf closer, pressing his lips to the other.

The elf let out a gasp before his breath was taken away. If he wasn’t careful he was sure to lose his footing again. But, Elrond didn’t mind with pleasant sparkling tingles spreading all across his skin; he let his lips linger against Adar. He wished the moment never ended but didn’t keep his potential boyfriend waiting. The man did have a child in the car after all. “Saturday at Six sounds great. Maybe text with me later?”

“Absolutely,” Adar caressed Elrond’s cheek before stealing another kiss. “See you tomorrow when I pick him up.” Adar winked, then turned to walk back to his car.
