Bloody Roar: Primal Fury - Ganesha the Elephant:
"Of course this game has your typical slow but powerful character and you know what? He's pretty decent. His speed isn't that bad and because he's very strong, you can defeat anyone very quickly."
PS: the gameplay used for this gifset is not mine. The original video belongs to the user: Apinhaka, on Youtube.

“Ganesh[a], the elephant-headed god of good fortune and auspicious beginnings, sits enthroned with his wives on his thighs. One wife may be Riddhi, ‘prosperity,’ holding a lotus, and the other Siddhi, ‘accomplishment,’ carrying a bowl of sweets. Below, the rat, Ganesh's vahana (complement) nibbles at a sweet that has fallen from the bowl.”

Oh my gods now that I know that there's a very real possibility that Agatha and Rio are maybe inspired from God Shiva- Devi Parvati it's all making sense to me in much deeper level now. I don't even know how to explain but YES their story is a direct parallel when you think about it..I need someone to come and scream with me. My mind is reeling!

Today I give you... Ganesha! This piece is titled Obstacles, BEGONE!. It was a commission for a friend back in 2012.
My friend gave me free rein to do whatever I wanted, design-wise. He wanted the color scheme to center around bright orange, so I went with a simple split-complementary scheme that I thought would give Overwhelming Orange a good balance.
I'm pleased with the way this piece turned out. There are elements gleaned from many statues and paintings of Ganesha I've seen, and bits that I included that follow my own design sensibilities. I used watercolor, Prismacolor pencils, and gold paint pen to pull this picture together.

Remover of obstacles This 10th- or 11th-century carving of the Hindu god Ganesh was found on the island of Java. In his front left hand, Ganesh holds a bowl for sweets, into which he reaches with his trunk. In his front right hand, he holds his own a broken tusk. There were a variety of stories about how Ganesh lost his tusk, but it was a key motif and he was sometimes known as the "One-Tusked One". In his other hands he holds a string of beads or a lasso and an axe to bind and destroy obstacles. He sits on a base carved to look like lotus petals.
This iconography was developed in India in the early middle ages but had spread across an area thousands of miles wide-- all the way to Jave-- by the ninth century.
If you'd like a closer look, you can play with a 3-D digitization on Sketch Fab: https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/ganesha-10th-11th-c-ce-375c670515684977b6ec05be115366ac Material: volcanic rock (andesite) Date: possibly 10th or 11th century Origin: island of Java Now in the Minneapolis Institute of Art, 2003.198
