Importance of Bhakti

It's very unfortunate that people are following self proclaimed acharyas like acharya prashant who is criticizing daivaradhana of coastal region Karnataka and Jyotish without even knowing the background. He has graduated from prestigious institutions but I highly doubt if he has has met any real sadhakaas in life.

As Kabir says,

"पोथी पढ़ि-पढ़ि जग मुआ, पंडित भया न कोय, 

ढाई आखर प्रेम का, पढ़े सो पंडित होय।"

"By reading books, the world perished, and scholars became learned,

But by understanding the two and a half words of love, the true Pandit becomes wise."

So.. It is very important to do saadhana. You cannot just say something about spiritual knowledge without experiencing it.

Yesterday, I met a Ganapati upaasaka. I think I haven't seen such upasaka in my life. I know him from many years. I'm sharing few things here so that some of you can get influenced and continue your worship.

First of all, he has a very strong Jupiter in birth chart which pushes him for Saadhana. He is not bluffing. He is a 73 year old man. He had darshan of Lord Ganapati himself in his dreams many times. He has perfomed so many miraculous things which I personally know. I'm really fortunate that I come across such people and read their charts.

He is not an engineer or doctor. So.. Not a qualified so called "intellectual" in modern sense. He is just a farmer who lives far away in a small village. I was talking to him yesterday. He talks to me so dearly everytime I meet him. He was shedding tears when he was talking about his araadhya daiva Maha Ganapati. I was moved by his words when he talked about Shri Shridhara swami whom we worship in our region.

One of the things he said was the importance of bhakti. He said all mantras are a way to concentrate your mind towards God. A man with bhakti is much superior than a man with mantras with no Bhakti.

So please don't fall prey for this intellectual nonsense. Only worshipping God will take you towards moksha and not bookish knowledge. It has been told by many saints. Don't get caught up in books and start leaving worship of God.
