The Eclipse Requim Casino. Run by a seer only referred to as "The Owner", is a casino made for empowered people in mind.

There are 2 main sections. The front half is where both empowered and unempowered people can mingle(and well, gamble). The back half is where covert is no longer an issue, as only empowered people(and informed unempowereds) can enter.

The staff at ERC are quite diverse and progressive(for an empowered establishment), hiring both d(a)emons and humans alike, with no bias. Every employee is hand picked by The Owner, ranging from eccentric inchoates to solitary shifters. If The Owner believes someone to be of use to the ERC, they will offer a position.

2 employees at the ERC that stand out:

A polar bear shifter, Delius Martin, who was found by The Owner down in the dumps of Dahlia, looking for any job that would hire a DAMN drop out, and was offered a job as a security guard.

And the other; an inchoate demon dealer, Hesperia. An inchoate who was struggling to find a job, one day The Owner found them and offered them a job as a dealer, they haven't looked back since.(made by @riotkitsune )

It is SUCH a refreshing message than other show have shown so far and I think that’s why we all obsessed with it. Yes, the visual is great. Yes, ship is phenomenal. But the message of “Your situation may be shit but also know you’re not alone” is better than “it’ll get better” messages to me.

“And you think that make you unique” was far from an insult. Husk is letting Angel know his trauma doesn’t make him an outcast or that he’s alone in this. He KNOW what Charlie is doing is not working so this is his way of relating to Angel

As someone who— have a hard time being an optimist sometimes “it’ll get better” and “you can be better” messages Charlie try to give the others does not work on me because it been over said and most of the time it come out as toxic positivity and unrealistic. So, having Husk saying “yeah you’re a fucking loser but hey I’m a loser too” is everything I needed to love this ship.

It’s not him blaming Angel for what happened, it’s not him trying to be like Charlie, it’s him understanding Angel’s struggle of being under the contract, know that they made a mistake and telling Angel that he’s not alone because that how Angel must’ve felt

What even better is when Angel sing about himself, notice how he doesn’t back away from him like he usually do when Angel is being sexual. He accepted him because he acknowledged that sex and drug is part of Angel and how he cope like how gamble is how he cope.

TL;DR What Husk is doing is acknowledging that Angel have a hard time to believe the praise and encouragement from others so instead of doing that he let Angel call himself a loser, a dummy, a slut etc as much as he want because thinking you’re better is far from where Angel is right now. Husk been where Angel had been and he know the annoying “think possitive” bs doesn’t work therefore he just let Angel know he’s not alone and sometimes that’s all someone really need. This song is them being ‘loser’ together, acknowledging that they’re not alone and make the best of their situation.
