Absolutely. There’s various reasons depending on how far along social development was when the child was entered into survival mode causing typical neurological development to halt, and just based on the person.

For some, it’s as simple as wanting to find love for the same reason a prosocial person does. For others it’s the practicality of having a built-in person to perform transactions with (I’ll do this for you if you do this for me), or to split responsibilities with, or easy access to a sexual partner and not minding the romantic attachment being there, or the idea of always having someone who is considered safe nearby and at access. For some it’s honestly just to get people off our backs on why we’re always alone (“I just don’t like anyone as much as my partner”/“I don’t really need anyone else, I married my best friend”) because fvck prosocial people CANNOT for their life get off of us about that lol they are desperately afraid for our wellbeing if they do not see us interact with at least 3 non-family members a week (yes, I’ve really done the math and that number usually stops the questions entirely with everyone I’ve met).

There’s a million reasons anyone wants romantic relationships, even just for that natural pull to be close to someone that way, that people with ASPD might feel. Some pwASPD ignore those reasons/urges to keep themselves safe though, and not everyone with ASPD has interest in that to begin with.

As with nondisordered people, there are pwASPD all over the spectrum of alloplatonic to aplatonic, alloromantic to aromantic, etc. (I believe “allo” is the correct prefix opposite the prefix “a” but correct me if I’m wrong) too, even outside of neurological development.

I completely understand the confusion though, because society sure likes painting us as heartless. We aren’t, at least not inherently so, we’re just more protective of that heart because we learned we’ve gotta be.

Some comics have beautiful storytelling and show gray lines in morals that make you go, "Morals are your self Induced rules but this situation I can't put them in any way that feels correct" because it has happened to me s many times, others make me giggle for days

I will read 2 scenes in a random issue and think about them all week. I will be in the middle of my thought process in math class and go " Why the fvck did I want to go to school again?? Just ana things

It's so weird to see how much an ED can change you in a year. Sometime in October my ED became the worst it has ever been and it only became worse with time, I hit my first goal weight for the first time ever and I feel much better, but I started noticing these tiny things and habits that I have not had a year ago? 

Take coffee, for example. A year ago I had to drink my coffee with a shit ton of milk to be able to drink it, and now I can 't stand the thought of milk or sugar in it when I drink it. My mom made me a coffee with milk the other day and I was like, how was I able to drink this a year ago? 

Another thing is the amount of food I eat in a day, a year ago I'd eat like a 1000 calories and I'd think woooow I'm restricting myself so much but whenever I eat over 800 calories these days I have this immense guilt and II feel like I've ruined an entire year's worth of work? I don't even wanna get started on how many foods I refuse to eat which I thought were healthy as fvck a year ago and ate them in gigantic amounts on a daily basis..

And holy shit the math... I feel like I can't order something or prepare a meal without constantly counting everything in my head, from grams to calories to the number of hours I need to have in between meals and it's honestly so tiring at times when I realize I should be focusing on more important things and yet my mind is just obsessed with these insignificant numbers??

I used to step on the scale like once a week, and yesterday I had to bring it up to the attic because I felt the need to weight myself every hour and couldnt stop doing it..

What I considered skinny a year ago I see as fat today and its upsetting to see my views on my body go this way but I'mnot too sure I have much control over it anymore
