you can literally never spot one without the other. where ghoul is, theres poison, and vice versa

he likes kissing their fingers and making a big deal out of it

they love slow dancing. ghoul's shit at it but poison slowly teaches him how to lead so they could do it together

poison taught themselves sign so they could talk to him even if he didnt want to hear any sounds

ghoul likes taking pictures of poison when they're asleep. its a rare occurence and they look so peaceful so it just cant resist

he has a huge pile of photos hidden away from their sight of them cuddling a pillow or smiling in their sleep while wearing ghoul's shirt or with the girl's weight spread on top of their chest

poison tried to get a tattoo of ghoul's symbol to match the one he got of them but passed out after one line was drawn and ghoul refused to let the guy* tattoo them when they were passed out so now they just have a single line on the back of their hand that ghoul scribbles the rest of his symbol with a sharpie

he knows exactly how they take their coffee and brings one to them every morning without fail. its a hassle for him to get up early and make it, but its all worth it to see the smile on their face and the slight blush when he kisses them

poison often leans against it when they're tired, burying their face in its shoulders, and he lets them stay there for as long as necessary until they feel better

poison often finds their fingers absent mindedly drawing ghoul, tracing his face on whatever medium they find closest. its an exact copy of them too

they absolutely melt whenever ghoul calls them any nickname

ghoul's nicknames for poison include but are not limited to: cherry bomb, pois, sunshine, baby, asshole (affectionately)

party usually only calls ghoul ghoulie

party's breathe catches everytime they look at ghoul (thank you leigh bardugo)

hes set them on fire a few times. they dont care though. "love makes you blind", they joke, and kobra slaps them on the head because HOW DO YOU NOT NOTICE YOURE ON FIRE

they physically cant be apart for too long. party gets twitchy and ghoul has this sinking feeling in its gut and it wont go away until theyre back in each others' arms.

they've often talked about the possibility of a future. they know its impossible for the two of them, but they cant help but wonder if there was any way that they could get married and have kids.

on that note: ghoul told them that if they survived [the sing mission], the first thing they'd do after they got back was get married

they often squeeze each other's hand three times, especially in crowded places

party painted ghoul's symbol on their gun. they dont know if ghoul noticed

he has, and it drives it insane. he got a carnation tattoo in the same color as their hair over its bicep. "its not a competition, ghoul" it quite literally is.

whenever poison's anxiety gets too out of control they immediately trace ghoul's tattoos with their fingers or draw some more on him on his thighs and torso. if he really likes it he actually gets them tattooed

the closest thing they come to having a kid together is a lizard they found lying on the road and took home. his name is Gayboy McLarry the Fifth. He died one day when Ghoul and Poison were out and Kobra silently tried to replace him in vain. Instead he got them a pet rock called Gayboy McLarry the Sixth. there was a funeral for the Fifth.

Kobra called them 'Mr. and Mx. McLarry' for way too long which is probably the closest they've come to being married

When I cry about the deaths of the fab four I like pouring salt in the wound by imagining Party Poison and Fun Ghoul dying close to each other, and them using the last of their strength to die in each other's arms

I'm just thinking about Ghoul doing Poison's makeup and nails. Poison's done their own for a while, more comfortable exploring more femme parts of themselves. And they've gotten pretty good at it. And along comes Ghoul one day, wide-eyed and curious.

He doesn't want makeup or nails done on him, though Poison definitely offers. Maybe he'll let them do his nails at some point, he's not against it. But he's moreso curious about it on them.

He's curious, wondering if he could do that. So, he tries. He's as careful as he can be, letting them instruct him on what goes where. He does his best, trying to make it look good. It ends up looking terrible, just awful, but they still wear it and they wear it so fucking proudly. Because their boy did that and it feels like them.

Poison is a Sunny Day Real Estate fan (The Rising Tide is their favorite album because it’s mine too and I like to project) and Ghoul got a tattoo of the. statues(?) on the The Rising Tide album cover because it reminds him of them (and because he thinks it’s cool looking but WHATEVER!!!!!)

^ Poison also likes to draw. Some of Ghoul’s tattoos were originally drawn by them.

they watch shitty 80s horror movies together (they steal VHS tapes and whatever from abandoned places). Ghoul LOVES it, thinks it’s hilarious, and Poison thinks it’s stupid but they love it when he laughs so they watch the movies with him (usually they just stare at him the whole time)

They’re both plagued by the occasional nightmare—nothing new, it’s the Zones and they have their trauma—and they’re always there for each other when it happens.

Poison is always begging Ghoul to let them do his makeup. The most he lets them put on is eyeliner, and that’s probably for the best because he wouldn’t sit still if they tried to put on any more

you can’t really get married in the zones (no government) but they’re kind of just. married but not by law or whatever.

Poison calls Ghoul “Ghoulie” and he pretends to hate it.

i've only seen a few fics on ao3 about the girl and i think it's really sad. she deserves MUCH more recognition from the fandom because she's a really cool character(SHES LITERALLY A BOMB and she took down bli you dont know how IMPORTANT that is), but i can sorta get why a lot of fan content is about the fab 4 rather than the girl:

,the four are mysterious (ish) characters without much actual backstory or canon content, so there are gaps in regards to them. something i learned about this fandom is that people really like filling in those gaps (with their countless headcanons...). on the other hand, the girl has more (canon) content (plus an actual backstory), meaning less gaps for the fandom to fill in (still, why can't the fandom have more fan-made content expanding on what we already know about the girl, like they do about the four (ex: sequel fanfic, more about the time between the events of the SING mv and comics, etc)? if the fans made more content about her, it'd be much more interesting than fab 4 yaoi).i'm not saying that there aren't things we don't know about the girl because there very much ARE things unknown about her. WHICH IS MORE OF A REASON TO MAKE MORE CONTENT ABOUT HER!!

additionally, as much as i hate saying this, fab 4 content generally gets more notes/kudos/etc than content about the girl (due to some of the fans who are just here to ship the characters--no harm in shipping i guess, i'd never turn down a good funpoison fic, but there's more to the fandom than shipping characters).

idfk where im going with this im just kinda typing. this would be much more coherent but its 1 am, im sleepy. still, i'd love to see more content about the girl on my tumblr dash/the ao3 fandom tag

I didn’t have these written down prior to this so they’re just kind of Shit I Just Made Up. hope u like them :3

💊 PARTY POISON ‼️

As I said in my Funpoison headcanons ask, I headcanon that Party Poison is AMAB, goes by they/them, and is unlabelled because they don’t like labels. They also don’t care about gender when it comes to dating. They also have a (not-so) secret little (major) crush on Fun Ghoul.

They and Kobra Kid are siblings and they left Battery City when they were teenagers. They don’t tell anyone their name from before.

They’re the Fab Four’s leader—they’re good at leading, being able to come up with plans and ideas quickly. But they’re also really, really reckless and self-sacrificial. They’re really good at negotiating, too, and mostly easy to get along with because they’re patient. Mostly.

Their love language is physical touch. They are clingy.

They have trouble sleeping; too many noises, just generally restless, whatever it is. On the nights that they’re unable to fall asleep, they usually join whoever’s on watch to keep them company or they just take over for them.

They cling to their belief in the Phoenix Witch for the hope that there’s going to be something after their death. They also wear Bad Luck Beads (explained in the danger days dictionary).

They draw (also mentioned in my Funpoison headcanons post) but they’re kinda bad at it💔💔

They’ve had a lot of partners before, but most of their relationships were pretty short-lived.

Yes, they had an emo phase. Yes, they’re still in their emo phase.

They own a lot of clothes and makeup and jewellery and shit. They like being pretty.

They HATE the warmer months. They don’t tan, they burn.

🧟‍♂️ FUN GHOUL ‼️

Fun Ghoul is a cis man (he/him). Also he’s pan. Also he likes Party Poison.

He was raised in the Zones and had a presumably really rough childhood. He doesn’t talk about it, and no one wants to make him. His original crew split up when he was a teenager and Jet Star’s took him in before the two of them joined Party Poison and Kobra Kid.

He’s great at making bombs, so that’s kind of his role in the crew. He’s also a really good shooter. Anything he tries to engineer unfortunately ends up blowing shit up. He’s not allowed to work on the Trans Am alone anymore (since he fucking blew the last car up—he swore he was watching it!), so he incidentally spends a lot of time with Jet Star and Kobra Kid in the garage.

Like most Zones-born killjoys, he believes in the Phoenix Witch. Except he views the whole belief as not a faith, but a tradition (definitely not projecting).

He trusts fucking no one. He can’t help but assume the worst of everyone he meets. For a while, he was always on high guard and unable to even sleep around the Fab Four because he felt so unsafe around the new people. Most days now he’s fine. Some days he’s afraid they’ll betray him in some way.

^ Between the Fab Four, he trusts Jet Star the most, because he’s known her longest.

He loves shitty horror movies. Party Poison is the only one who actually agrees to watch them with him.

His love language is acts of service because he loves it when he does something people can be proud of. He fucking craves the feeling of someone being proud of him. He also desperately needs a hug, but won’t admit it.

The others call him Ghoulie and he hates it.

He’s really smart, but doesn’t get enough credit for it because he’s a little immature.

^ He’s also a dumbass.

He probably likes strong ass Zoneweed. Hey, it’s cheap!

He refuses to explain the scar on his cheek. It’s definitely something more than a scar from a fight, though.

He’s actually really sweet, you just have to deal with his walls & emotional baggage.

💫 JET STAR ‼️

Jet Star is a trans woman (she/her) and she’s aroace.

She was born in the Zones, and had a fairly average childhood for a kid in the Zones. Befriended(?) Fun Ghoul when they were like thirteen and her crew took him in—it was a little one-sided because she was really curious about him and he Would Not Speak to Anyone.

She can only see out of her right eye because her left one was taken out in a firefight by a Scarecrow’s gun.

She’s not a very good shooter because of her sight, but she is good at coming up with (good) plans quickly (they’re usually better than Party Poison’s, which usually consist of Party Poison sacrificing themself). And she’s also usually the one to repair the Trans Am when the old thing needs it.

She LOVES stars. She is literally just like me fr.

She can kind of play guitar. She’s not very good at it because there aren’t many instruments in the Zones and she can’t replace the broken strings on the guitar she used to use, but she knows basic chords… mostly.

idk man… i just think she’s neat

She also draws. She’s better at it than Party Poison is.

She collects vinyl! Every time they go on a supply run she looks to see if they have any good or interesting looking albums.

She’s really the only one who’s able to get The Girl’s hair under control. Not her fault everyone else has straight hair.

She’s definitely the least likely to start a fight between two killjoys’ gangs. That’s not to say she won’t, though.

🐍 KOBRA KID ‼️

Kobra Kid is a trans man (he/him) and he’s bisexual. Lowkey has something going on with Cherri Cola but he has more inportant shit to worry about.

He’s Party Poison’s brother, and they used to live in the City together. Party Poison is the only one who knows his real name.

He’s stubborn, misunderstood, and short-tempered. He’s just like me fr. I hit him with the autism beam (i love to project).

He likes comics. He has a collection of comic books.

He’s not a very accurate shooter. He can shoot, but he can’t aim. He’s probably too busy being reckless and angry to focus on his aim before shooting. It’s something to work on.

He’s kind of like Fun Ghoul in the way they both have trust issues, but his aren’t as bad.

He’s kind of a dick, really sarcastic, but it’s kind of his way of being affectionate.

He really likes shiny things. He has a huge collection of shiny things he finds on the ground. Collects soda tabs and does nothing with them.

Can and will beat your ass in a fight if you disagree with him.

🩷 THE GIRL ‼️

She’s with the Fab Four because they took her in after she was born and her mother was turned into a Draculoid (like in the comics).

The girl is like. The killjoys’ shared daughter. Fun Ghoul is her favorite because he’s kinda the only one who just Lets Her Fuck Around. Also because he’s just, well, fun.

She likes stealing from Kobra Kid’s comic book collection.

Loves stickers and decorating things with stickers. Will doodle on any piece if paper in her possession.

When the killjoys have a mission or whatever and they of course can’t bring her, they leave her with the radio crew.

She really wants to learn how to shoot. The killjoys of course tell her she will be allowed when she’s older. Sometimes they let her do target practice with TOY GUNS. The killjoys are stupid, but not stupid enough to give a little kid a loaded ray gun.

The killjoys don’t censor themselves around her. Her first word was “Fuck”.

Sassy as hell. She probably gets it from being raised by the Venom Siblings.

She has wild hair and rarely ever does anything to maintain it (I mean no shit, what 5 year old has the attention span for that).

Sexuality Headcanon: bi-adjacent but i think she doesn’t really label herself that way. they would probably describe themself as attracted to almost anyone but i DO think they have a preference for trans people :) T4T jet forever mwah mwah 💕

Gender Headcanon: i have recently seen the light & so i would have had a different answer for you like a week and a half ago but now i absolutely believe jet is nonbinary transfemme (specifically i think she identifies as a demigirl), she/they pronouns :3!

A ship I have with said character: STARPONY!!! T4T femme4femme enby love forever. also they’re just like. THEE zones power couple. everyone in the desert has been in love with one or both of them at some point or another and the first time they go out together holding hands in public the gossip mill FREAKS the fuck out. i also think that starparty is quite cute :) and a ship i feel i don’t see often enough (present company excluded) is starpartyghoul they’re SUCH a good match for each other and i love all of them so much oml

A BROTP I have with said character: PARTY AND JET are besties like BEST BEST friends forever, jet is really the first person their own age in the desert to be nice to party and honestly i think the way they became friends at all was party (immovable object aka autistic + covering that up with being Mean, doesn’t know how to make friends AT ALL) meets jet (unstoppable force aka desertborn, knows everyone and is just REALLY friendly and outgoing and likes everyone, including this weird kid they just met who is super super shy but likes their violin and will just kind of skulk around near them not saying anything) and i like to describe it as this:

anyways. they are BEST friends jet knows they can tell party anything and they will do their absolute best to help and party steals jet’s clothes all the time because jet is partial to really soft knitted sweaters and when they’re sad or just needing comfort it’s nice to wear something that reminds them of their best friend. also jet smells like vanilla because of her body lotion so. bonus! on the other hand i also really enjoy jet and ghoul friendship i think party is really the only one in the diner not handy with tools and jet is tall so she helps ghoul fix stuff all the time especially if ghoul needs help reaching it. and jet also warmed up to ghoul REALLY fast when he first joined the crew they like to play board games together. ghoul is i think the only one in the diner who successfully has come to understand the rules of chess after jet taught him how to play so they play that a lot :) & when ghoul told her he wanted to get a tattoo for everyone she picked out a set of playing cards with the ace of spades face up so he has that now for her 🥰

A NOTP I have with said character: ummm hard to say. i honestly think jet works with anyone so like…pretty much only people too old for them like dr. d and tcm. starpony is my fave starparty is cute funstar is cute even jetkobra is cute most of the time when people aren’t being weird and rpf-y about it and/or just doing it so they can pair off the “extraneous” two when they’re shipping funpoison & i’ve read cherri x jet before and thought it was sweet so yeah.

A random headcanon: jet has these twin shooting stars tattooed on her ribcage right under the curve of her pecs!! i think she gets them before starting to take E but they really do um. frame the girls nicely. i used to hc jet as transmasc and originally those tattoos were like. i thought it would be cool if they were kind of transforming top surgery scars with tattoo trickery but i genuinely genuinely think jet would have these tattoos being transfemme too. over time she gets stuff added to them so she eventually has this whole chest/sternum/stomach piece made up of patchwork tattooing all building off of these shooting star tattoos she got done when she was sixteen. wild

General Opinion over said character: I LOVE HER I LOVE HER I LOVE HER i truly believe she’s the glue that keeps the fab four together and motivated and theyre just FUNNY and smart and brave i love you jet star
