TIME SENSITIVE, PLEASE HELP BILAL
We want to extend our deepest gratitude and thanks to all the people who came out in support of Bilal‘s campaign and shared and donated.
I‘m really happy to announce that not only have some of the funds raised benefitted his family in Gaza, but it has also helped Bilal find a new place to stay, away from his terrible ex-employer and landlord, and has enabled him to extend his residency for another month. He  is no longer at risk of deportation right now. It’s only thanks to your incredible support that all this was possible.
But despite all these good news, we need your help again.
There is currently no option to transfer funds from Germany to Gaza, as bank transfers to Gaza are being blocked by the German government. This means Bilal has to first transfer the funds to a bank in another country, and then from there to Gaza. The funds currently take a very long time to reach his family, and require Bilal to pay a high fee for the transfer as well.
On top of that, his ex-employer and landlord had extorted a large sum (€4800) from Bilal – a sum he claimed he still owed him from the time he was employed under him. With no other source of income at the time, Bilal saw no choice but to pay it using some of the money from the campaign.
Bilal feels extremely conflicted to be asking for help so soon again after reaching his last goal. But he unfortunately sees no other option due to the aforementioned problems.
We need your help in fighting the repression from the German government and also making sure that the funds you helped Bilal raise also reach his family in full.
This is why we need to raise €8,850 by the 15th of September i.e within the next 2 weeks. he currently has raised €101,150 of €110,000
This amount will help make up for the funds that were extorted from him by his landlord and help him pay the fees for multiple international bank transfers.
Please help Bilal reach his goal in time. You have gotten him this far, please don't let him down now. his campaign has been verified and can be found on @/el-shab-hussein’s and @/nabulsi’s list of vetted fundraisers here (#132, line 136) so PLEASE don't hesitate to share and donate.

none of this is new info, but you know I have the "loves to write lists and compile links" disposition, so I thought it might be helpful to share some of the tips I've seen about how to make sure you're sharing legitimate palestinian evacuation fundraisers and bundle all those tips into a single handy reference post.
this is a spreadsheet of legitimate ("vetted") fundraisers on tumblr.
this post explains how the people who maintain this spreadsheet confirm the legitimacy of each fundraiser they add.
this podcast episode ("yousef and the fourth move") explains why evacuation fundraisers are often organized by people who don't live in gaza and/or who may not be immediate relatives of the people trying to evacuate. it's part three of a series about a man named yousef and his family; parts one and two aren't required listening for part three to make sense, but if you have a few hours to spare then I wholeheartedly recommend listening to all of them.
this is the process that I personally have been using to check whether a particular fundraiser has been vetted:
spreadsheet method
open the vetted fundraisers spreadsheet.
inside this spreadsheet, open the "find..." menu. on a windows computer, this shortcut is ctrl+F. on a mac, this shortcut is cmd+F. on a mobile device, click the three dots menu in the upper right corner of your screen, then select Find and replace.
search for the last name of the person or family in the fundraiser. you may get several results because last names obviously aren't unique; keep hitting "next" until you've looked at all the results.
if you find an entry in the spreadsheet that has the exact same name and whose gofundme link leads to the same fundraiser associated with the blog, it's legitimate. if you don't find an entry in the spreadsheet that matches the blog's fundraiser, that does not mean it's a scam. try the next method below!
tumblr search method
copy the username of the tumblr who originally posted the fundraiser and/or sent you a message asking you to boost the fundraiser. (for example, username123)
paste this username into tumblr's search bar.
for best results, click the All types drop-down menu, then select Text. since the search page is often dominated by asks sent by username123 (which people then answer and tag with their username), this helps narrow things down a bit.
look to see if any people who are not username123 have made posts confirming that username123 is legitimate. this includes people who've reblogged fundraisers and added notes, people who've compiled masterlists, and people sharing hyperlinks to other posts confirming a fundraiser's legitimacy. if the message seems to be "yep, looks legit," then it's safe to assume it's legit.
this is not a comprehensive list, but here are some of the usernames I've seen associated with "yep, looks legit"-type posts and who I've come to trust by association. (disclaimers: I am not mutuals with any of the users, and not all of them do the vetting firsthand, but the ones who don't vet posts themselves still seem to be careful about what they share and therefore are a good lead to follow. also, don't bug these people to vet fundraisers for you unless they've specifically indicated that they're open to that.)
90-ghost
el-shab-hussein
nabulsi
appsa
northgazaupdates
retvolution
communistchilchuck
neptunerings
a-shade-of-blue
shimamitsu
neither of these methods yielded anything definitive; what now?
it may just be too early to tell. unless a trusted source has shared overwhelming evidence that a particular fundraiser is a scam (which seems to be a very very rare occurrence), the best thing you can do is ignore it. don't report their blog as spam, because there's a good chance it's a legitimate fundraiser who just hasn't been vetted yet.

I noticed that masterlists of campaigns tend to get more traction than single asks, so I'm compiling the campaigns of people below who have reached out to me. I don't have the funds to help them all, but I want to spread awareness and potentially get them to reach people who do. I will likely continue to update this as more people reach out.
keensaladbanana - Julieat is raising funds for her family to escape Gaza. vetted by association, VERY low on funds (kr5,694/kr350,000). campaign link
karamalmadhoun0 - Karam is trying to escape to Egypt with his family of 5. vetted by multiple sources. (€16,176/€20,000). campaign link
farohablogsworld - Mohanad and Farah are a married couple trying to rebuild their lives in the war. vetted by association. (€1,318/€35,000). campaign link. note that they had to change their link due to a problem with currency, this is the new one!
asmaayyad - Asmaa is a daughter in a family of 8 trying to evacuate. vetted. (€16,450/€45,000). campaign link
rehabsh98 - Rehab and Hussein and their two children are trying to evacuate Gaza. vetted. ($34,869/$40,000). campaign link
nevinalser - Nevin has a young child and is trying to evacuate Gaza with her family. vetted. VERY low on funds (€1,263/€50,000). campaign link
helpamalm - Amal is trying to escape Gaza with her family. not vetted, but seems legitimate, as this fundraiser has been up since May! VERY low on funds! (€579/€53,000). campaign link
ahmadwaleed5 - Ahmed and his family are trying to rebuild their lives in the war. vetted. ($8,346/$25,000). campaign link
please share and donate if you can!

The campaign for Firas, Nisreen and their family that is currently stuck in Gaza is moving forward extremely slowly!
It's unacceptable, knowing how urgent the fundraiser is.
Firas and Nisreen are two siblings from Gaza, currently studying medicine in Egypt.
Due to the ongoing genocide, their father lost his source of income and isn't able to pay their university fees.
Six members of their family are currently stuck in the Gaza Strip without the most basic neccesities of life.
FIRAS AND NISREEN MUST PAY THEIR UNIVERSITY FEES UNTIL 15TH OF OCTOBER.
There are a little above 10 days left (keep in mind we are counting as for Egyptian time zone!)
$10,109/$16,000 CAD raised as for now.
To reach the needed $5891 CAD in time we must raise about $590 CAD a day. I believe it is achievable and we can do it.
To start, you can match the donation I've made yesterday:
Tumblr media
It is $13 CAD, so about $9,58 USD.
If you have more to spare, I encourage you to give what you can.
If not, please, donate even $5 CAD.
Post the proof of donation or share it with your friends so they could match you as well! This way, we would help Firas, Nisreen and their family!
Please, let's not let them down!

Please help Noor!
As Andrea @roadimusprime, the organizer for @noor509's fundraiser said, GFM decided to close the campaign despite all of their queries being answered. Transfers from the campaign stopped on 4 Nov, and ask for a refund from GFM if you donated and haven't received your money back yet.
Please help out Noor through his Paypal. He and his wife, Dina, have two young children, with their youngest born during the war, and he currently has no source of income which makes obtaining already very expensive basic needs even more difficult.

I'm looking for genuine advice/help here. I've been posting any asks I get from Palestinians asking or help, but I had two of the exact same asks from the two different accounts leading to different gfms. The names were all the same, the story, etc. I know some assholes are scamming people by pretending to be Palestinians and I think that's what at least one of those accounts was doing.
My question is, should I stick to reblogging and donating to vetted posts or should I just trust the ones I get in my inbox? How can I check if a fundraisers legit?
If the GFM is not vetted, then consult with the masterlist provided by the Palestinian vetters. If the user is not listed, then consult with the Palestinian vetters regarding that specific user.
Stay completely away from Zionists or GFM sceptics and their alternative donation links
Here is a masterlist of vetted fundraisers:
Sources where you can find vetted fundraisers (from @/vetted-gaza-funds):
el-shab-hussein and nabulsi's spreadsheet
gazafunds.com
Operation Olive Branch’s spreadsheet
Strawberry Seed Collective’s master list
Operation Poppy Flower
Project Watermelon master list

Hi! My last donation post reached the 100 link limit so this is my new one. I'm going to work on getting individual lists for each cause and linking them here, so it's a bit more organized than the last one.
I have added a few new links, but for the time being, I am focusing on the campaigns I have listed. While I do not have the capacity to take on anymore campaigns, I will still reblog ones I see others post about to help share them.
I will do my best to keep the links updated with their progress.
DISCLAIMER: I do not vet fundraisers. I only share ones that have been vetted by others, vouched for, or are credible.
Campaign Spotlight
These are some campaigns that are in urgent need of support. I'm trying to highlight them here to see if it will help at all
Help Randa's Brothers Reach Safety (family members in imminent danger)
Life saving support for Elaf's aunt (medical emergency)
Emergency surgery for Ahmeds father (medical emergency)
Urgent relocation for the Balla family (family members in imminent danger)
Support for Rania’s family (stagnant and extremely low on funds)
Community Gardens for the DRC - Fundraising ends Feb 5th! (Upcoming deadline)
Help Yahya get treatment for his daughter (medical emergency)
I am sorry I cannot list everyone in this section, but you can find more families linked throughout this post. Every single one of them is deserving of support. The ones I've linked above have just had a hard time with outreach and this is an attempt to try and help with that.

Two extremely important fundraisers for us to help raise money – including three young children!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image description is in ALT due to large text]
Before October 7, @tahseenkhazen lived happily with his wife and three sons and was a successful businessman who owned a driving school. Since the bombings in Gaza commenced, however, he lost his home, his job and any source of security. He's been fundraising since March this year to get himself, his wife and his three children some much needed security. His oldest son in particular has Celiac disease, meaning he needs to get his hands urgently on gluten-free food for his son to survive. Further information can be found on his campaign:
His campaign has been vetted by @/90-ghost and another vetted user @olagaza has confirmed Tahseen is her cousin. Ola herself, an incredibly smart and brave mathematics teacher, also has a fundraiser to keep her dream afloat. She is number 205 on this vetted fundraiser list and more information about her dreams and career can be found here:
$11,966 USD/$25,000 for Tahseen's fundraiser
$45,460 USD/$50,000 for Ola's fundraiser
I urge everyone to please boost this post and donate to their fundraisers if possible! It's imperative that we do our best for these wonderful people!

PSA: PLEASE READ ‼
Tumblr media
verification source (no. 246) follow: @henomohammed | alt. account- @hanaajad123 image description below cut
dear hanaa + family,
thank you for sending me this message:
Hello my dear, I am Hanaa from Gaza... A friend of mine advised me to send you a message because my Tumblr account has been closed more than once. I am upset about this. I hope you can help me
i am so sorry to hear that you've run into this problem multiple times 😔hopefully, this post will help more people find their way back to your new profile.
to my moots/lovely lurkers: by now, i think many of us have witnessed the alarming rate in which 🇵🇸 accounts are suspended/suppressed with no prior warning. it's a vile, twisted trend that infuriates both us and the affected families.
losing the ability to freely message others on this platform/having your entire profile deleted is detrimental in every way. individuals are forced to start from square one with new accounts and need to undergo the arduous, time-consuming process of re-verifying themselves to others (all of which is done with minimal access to a working signal // many families must travel far distances in order obtain a strong enough connection -> the trip itself puts them at greater risk). this ultimately stalls their efforts to receive life-saving donations.
as stated above, hanaa's campaign has been vetted and is listed on el-shab-hussein/nabulsi's sheet (#246). she has also been promoted by 90-ghost*, another trusted source for vetted/verified campaigns
*= the link provided shows hanaa's multiple accounts. @/hanaajad123 appears to still be functional. @/hanaayousef has been terminated. hanaa has told me herself she has made ~5 accounts now
hanaa's family lived normal lives. her and her husband worked hard to care for their baby, youssef (who is now 2 years old). 9 months of relentless bombardment have stripped them of their jobs, home, and any valuable possessions they once owned. it is not an exaggeration when they say that they have nothing left.
hanaa's fundraiser was made in an effort to regain some sense of normalcy for herself and her family. it has only been active since june 18th and hasn't gained many donations yet.
please support hanaa's family by:
sharing this post + hanaa's from her accounts
follow hanaa's tumblr
donate to her campaign if you are able 🖤
current stats: £2,667 / £20,000
[Image ID: digital drawing of two watermelon slices. written across the image: new account, please follow @/henomohammed, #246 on el-shab-hussein/nabulsi's sheet /End ID.]

What sort of proof would you need to believe that a fundraiser was real?
I actually put in the legwork to verify one of these fundraisers today (I wanted to see how hard it was to actually vet one of these posts). It took about an hour, but I was satisfied by the end of it that the person in question exists, is who they are claiming to be, has a GoFundMe, and that the GoFundMe being spread around is probably the same one being linked to (I wasn't 100% satisfied by what I could find on that count? but I ended up in a place where I was reasonably confident). I'm happy to share my work, and have added it below.
I've gotten a lot of nasty messages since making that post accusing me of being anti-Palestine. My heart and money is 100% with Palestine, and I've given as much as I can afford, to reputable aid organizations. I believe both in a free Palestine, and doing your own research on the recipients of your money when you decide to financially contribute to a cause.
Anyway, this is the GoFundMe that I think is legit, and below is the legwork I did to reach that conclusion. While I still think it is better to give to a relief organization if your goal is improving the lot of the people in Gaza, I don't think this one is a scam.
This is the fundraiser for Eman Zaqout, who - first of all - is a real person! This is very easy to verify: Googling her name returns a LinkedIn with a complete work history (she is a molecular biologist), her profile with Unesco, and her profile with the Palestine Academy for Science & Technology. You know, the kind of stuff you'd expect to see when you Google someone. Great start.
Next step: Is the person running this GoFundMe the real Dr. Zaqout? (While I have some sources which say she is in a PhD fellowship and does not yet have her doctorate, she is listed as Dr. Zaqout at the Palestine Academy for Science & Technology, and I'd prefer to use the honorific in case it may in fact be more appropriate.)
So. Dr. Zaqout joined LinkedIn in 2014. And she does link to her Instagram from her LinkedIn, and her Instagram links to the GoFundMe. That's a great start!
However, it's worth mentioning that her contact information on LinkedIn was updated less than 3 months ago (which includes the link to her Instagram). Given the number of Palestinians whose accounts have been hacked or spoofed by scammers in order to lend their scams legitimacy, I don't love that change. That coincides with the surge in scam activity following the All Eyes on Rafah movement gaining momentum. Plenty of Palestinians have had their entire social media presences stolen by scammers.
However again - her LinkedIn (which, as established, may be compromised) also links to a TikTok account! And the TikTok account has video! And that sure looks to me like Dr. Zaqout in the video! While the photo of her on LinkedIn is no longer trustworthy since we know her account has been updated in the past 3 months, there is also a photo of her here at Palast.ps, which is a legitimate scientific organization. And yeah, sure, a dedicated scammer could have hacked that too, but there are also photos of her on LinkedIn that look like this:
Tumblr media
It's not the best photo in the world, but it's identifiably her. Fabricating this kind of ephemera is more than I would expect of your typical charity scammer.
And in the most recent TikTok video of her, she's even talking about a GoFundMe, on 7/17! And she posted another video on 7/21 in which she is not seen, but you can hear her voice, and it does sound like her.
Today is August 2nd. The last two videos uploaded to Dr. Zaqout's TikTok are just photo collages, so they can't be used to verify that she still has control of her social media accounts. But for now, I'm prepared to say with some confidence that that woman is Dr. Eman Zaqout, that Dr. Zaqout is legitimately a Palestinian scientist, she did actually start a GoFundMe, and that she was posting about it as recently as 12 days ago.
All right all right, we are cooking folks. The last questions we need to answer: is this actually Dr. Zaqout's GoFundMe? The last scenario we need to rule out is that her social media presence was stolen in the last 12 days.
Let's start with that GoFundMe.
First of all, it's not being run by Dr. Zaqout. That's normal: GoFundMe isn't supported in Palestine, and all Palestinians will have to rely on friends or family abroad to set up their campaigns and collect donations on their behalf. This campaign is being run by a Mazin Fakak. I think that's supposed to be this Mazin Fakak, which makes sense; he is based in Quebec, and Dr. Zaqout either studied at or is in close affiliation with McGill University, which is in Quebec. He also lists Arabic as one of his spoken languages. So far this is a plausible connection for Dr. Zaqout to have. His LinkedIn profile also hasn't been updated in over a year, which makes me disinclined to think this is a recently-stolen scam account.
My one issue here is that when I Google Fakak, this is all that comes up. A LinkedIn profile created in 2014 that hasn't been touched in over a year, and two GoFundMe fundraisers for Palestinian families. And Dr. Zaqout never mentions Fakak anywhere. I would feel 100% confident of this fundraiser if she did.
But while my investigation into Fakak didn't turn up anything that confirms the connection to Zaqout, it also does nothing to disprove it, and the circumstantial evidence available to me lends credibility to the claim. So while I land somewhere around 80% on the verifiable credibility of this GoFundMe, please balance that against my 95%+ confidence in Zaqout's legitimacy, and the fact that she appears to still have control of her socials as of 12 days ago. If she posts on TikTok with another live video again (and not a photo slideshow, which can't be considered verification of anything), then I'd say this one is completely safe.

TIME SENSITIVE: HELP AHMAD SAVE HIS FAMILY FROM GENOCIDE
Ahmad is the cousin of Mohammed Shamia, a Palestinian man fundraising to evacuate his family from Gaza. Mohammed's campaign has been vetted, so it's safe to say Ahmad's is 100% legitimate -- he has been struggling to promote his fundraiser despite tireless efforts, and it has stagnated at kr57,745 SEK/kr250,000 SEK for 5 DAYS (equivalent to around $5,442 USD), enough to evacuate one member. His next goal is to evacuate his sister and her two little children, but due to unofficial sources saying that the Rafah crossing may open soon, it is more dire than ever that they raise their complete goal of kr250,000 SEK ASAP, around $25,000. Even if the news turns out to be false, they still need the peace of mind that completing their goal affords them for when it does happen. Please give what you can and keep conversions in mind - campaigns in SEK tend to reach their goals much slower, because many are unaware that kr50 SEK is equivalent to $5 USD.

based on people who have reached out to me, here are a number of campaigns of people looking to get to safety in Gaza right now - I believe all of the campaigns on here are legitimate, whether vetted by sources in contact with them, or by cross-checking Palestinian bloggers/existing spreadsheets compiling fundraisers. some of these accounts may have since been terminated but have previously been vetted. (for further verification I would recommend checking out el-shab-hussein's pinned post with resources and more.)
Mohammed Almansara: 4k CAD of 50k CAD; I believe this family had another fundraiser up but it was sadly disabled.
Amira Alanqar: 18k euro of 20k euro - getting close! her initial Tumblr account may have been terminated but was vetted per nabulsi's post which I've linked.
Mohammed Alanqer: 46k euro of 50k euro - also nearing their goal!
Doaa Jad Al Haq: 3k USD of 5k USD - initial goal reached, looking to establish a new workspace so her campaign has been extended.
Asma Ayyad: 2.7k euro of 45k euro - still VERY low in their progress, please consider sharing/contributing to get more traction!
Eman Zaqout: 14k CAD of 40k CAD - was paused on gfm at one point but appears to be active again!
Aseel Asad: 4k USD of 20k USD - also very low, please take a look at this one as well. I believe she's gone through a couple accounts, both of which got flagged but was backed by 90-ghost and is in contact with a Palestinian user named Mohyi who is also looking for help.
Ahmed & Sahar: 9k USD of 50k USD - two separate accounts, both members of the same family trying to reunite with their kids.
Youssef Helles: 10.5k euro of 23k euro - a little under halfway
Palestine & Youssef: 6.7k USD of 40k USD - also very low on fund. I realized I had not seen a couple of messages from this account in my inbox, which I apologize for missing. please take a look at this campaign as well.

Help Bilal's family evacuate from Gaza
i want to make a post highlighting my friend Bilal's @bilal-salah0 campaign.
his campaign has been verified by multiple Palestinian users and is featured on @/el-shab-hussein's and @/nabulsi's list of vetted fundraisers here (#132) Bilal has been living in Germany for almost a year, while his family is still stuck inside Gaza and living through an active genocide. they are a family of 18 people, including 10 adults and 8 children under 16 years old.
Tumblr media
he has been trying his hardest to not only support himself and build a life in a new country, but also promoting this fundraiser and trying to save his family all on his own. that is an immense amount of pressure on the shoulders of a 22-year old. the family had just finished building their new house when the war broke out and left them without shelter and also without source of income, as their father's shoe business was completely obliterated by the occupation.
Tumblr media
his family was subsequently displaced multiple times, trying to find a safe place anywhere in Gaza. it has obviously become apparent that there is no safe place anywhere. they are forced to share a tent together under the worst circumstances. water and food are oftentimes not available or very expensive, and so is medical care.
Tumblr media
i don't need to stress how disastrous these living conditions would be for anyone, but especially for newborns and small children. on top of these hazardous conditions, they also have to fear attacks from the IOF daily. they have raised €49,867 / €70,000 which is absolutely amazing but they still need more help to reach their final goal. they are currently really close to 50,000, only 133€ left! Bilal is such a nice and wonderful person and his family deserves the same safety so many of us have and take for granted. they have lost so much, they should not be forced to lose anything else or anyone. please, give what you can, as even small donations accumulate and make a difference for them.
[ID: a gofundme campaign link that shows a picture of two small children sitting on the floor in the sand. they are looking towards the camera, eyes half-closed. the campaign title reads "Donate to Help Evacuate My Family from Gaza to Safety, organized by Bilal salah" End ID]
Tumblr media
tags for visibility and reach, please share this, thank you: @appsa @brutaliakhoa @communistchilchuck @mangocheesecakes @northgazaupdates
