so the leftovers. I just finished that. so... yeah...

okay here I go. I'm kind of upset that I went to it with a completely wrong idea of what it was about. I thought I was going to get a show where a bunch of people from all over the world disappeared one day and then they will tell us what happened, who or what was behind it, why, where did they go… Well mark me as dissapointed in that aspect. I've had a hard time enjoying the first and a half seasons because of these. Of this expectations that I had of what this show was about. And I'm so angry at the fact that this show is a masterpiece but I didn't get the chance to appreciate it from the start because of fucking expectations and assumptions.

Yes, there is a big misterious event where a lot of people from all over the world dissapear. Yes, there is weird shit happening everywhere they show us. But no, this series is not about solving this and giving us answers. This series revolves around grief, how these people (and the world) cope with loss and how the pain can fuck you and your life up. And is absolutely amazing and weird and they do give us answers to some of the questions. Kind of. But is not the point. And sometimes they make everything so confusing that you don't even know what you are watching or if you are enjoying.

But, oh, is so so worth it I can't even tell you.

All I wanted to say with this post is that it did get weird and incomprehensible at some point. It even bore me on occasions. But it's such a unique and amazing way to tell us these stories and to approach these issues. Unbelivable.

Anyway, I just feel that for me this masterpiece of a show was hard to get hooked on and to love. But the second my mind clicked and I let go of everything that I brought with me I started to fall. And what a beautiful fall.

anyways. there's this point in the story where vash and wolfwood have to go their separate ways for a while, but neither of them are dealing with it particularly well

it is so unbelievable to me that darling daisies has over 150 bookmarks (including private ones) now, but somehow it feels even crazier that snake bite has 40!!! why is there nothing in the "from the ashes" era about the fact that a) with Krakoa fucking off to the white hot room, most non-x-men mutants (which is a lot since they resurrected Genosha) are not even on earth and b) that the non-x-men mutants who went to krakoa and came back after the fall of orchis are 15 years older than they were when they left. because. i think those are two very important factors in the current state of mutants but they were weirdly not adressed at all so far.
