If the parents and loved ones, who were slaughterd for your political ambition, had their way, it'll be you in the grave and not them. You're the one that loves guns. You die for them. Making others die for your stupid hobby is wrong.
A well regulated militia does not kill school children or their teachers.
Gov Kemp is covered in blood

the FBI was already investigating the Winder, GA school shooter a year ago and did nothing. they get onto Cop City & Pro-Palestine protestors for less than that, calling them "domestic terrorists." and you're only called that if you protest against the system.
#chickens coming home to roost#they only target leftist protestors bc they challenge the system & are threatened by that#a chud with a gun doesn't pose a threat to the system (despite chuds pretending they do) bc they love cops & the military#my thoughts#apalachee high school#winder georgia#cop city#pro palestine#Pro-Palestine#free gaza#free palestine#Governor Brian Kemp#Brian Kemp#fuck the police#fbi#federal bureau of investigation#gun violence#gun control#gun culture

-Quickly skitters into the inbox, with a boom box and an increasingly bass boosted version-
🎶I PUT MY HANDS UP THEY’RE PLAYING MY SONG THE BUTTERFLIES FLY AWAY-🎶
- Party In The USA anon, on the recent glorious news
Look. LOOK. I know we've had technically bigger fish, but the Georgia case is a Big Fucking Deal. Because:
It is a MAJOR indictment both in terms of scope and seriousness of charges. Not just Trump, but *eighteen* of his allies and cronies got charged with RICO (anti-racketeering, often used against mob bosses) felonies, including Rudy Giuliani (I repeat, HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA), Jeff Clark, Mark Meadows, and other high-profile Trumpworld enablers
No Lindsey Graham (at least yet) but I guess we can't have everything
It encompasses both in Georgia and other states where Trump illegally tried to alter election results (Michigan, Arizona, and Pennsylvania), as those activities related to a conspiracy centered on Georgia/Fulton County
This is the big whopper: TRUMP CANNOT CANCEL THIS INVESTIGATION EVEN IF HE GETS RE-ELECTED. He can shut down the federal Special Counsel investigations run through the DoJ, but this? Bupkis. And Georgia governor Brian Kemp, another of the Republicans who dutifully continues to defend Trump even as Trump slanders him up and down, CAN'T PARDON HIM.
That drives the Republicans NUTS. So nuts that they were, you guessed it, already on Faux News whining about how they should make Georgia change that law.
Boo-fucking-hoo, you absolute fucking wankers.
Also: we need to remember that Trump rose to political prominence by being wildly racist and xenophobic about America's first Black president. He has coddled and exalted white supremacists and white supremacist rhetoric at every turn, it has been the central defining feature of his campaign, and his election subversion efforts were chiefly aimed at canceling the votes of heavily Black cities (Atlanta, Philly, Detroit, etc.)
Trump also won in 2016 thanks to the Electoral College, itself designed as an element of structural racism, by defeating probably the most qualified and beyond any doubt most historic candidate there has ever been, after it was revealed that he was a serial sexual assaulter and after he screamed for months about LOCK HER UP (every Republican accusation is a confession, etc)
All that said, with Trump's vile, derogatory bile spewed at everyone, but especially a) Black people, b) women, and c) powerful Black women, it is a Big Fucking Deal that a powerful Black woman, aka his worst nightmare, pulled this trigger on him.
Don't get me wrong. I deeply appreciate me some Jack Smith. But he is also a white male special counsel appointed by the Department of Justice, and who used to work for the Hague prosecuting war crimes (true story). It's in his brief to do this.
Fani Willis is a county district attorney AND a Black woman, as Trump's nonstop shitgibbering on Truth Social just can't help himself from pointing out. This kind of sprawling, country-wide investigation against a wildly corrupt ex-president and his cohort of equally corrupt cronies is not something she is, in the normal course of things, ever expected to do, but she did it.
NINETEEN DEFENDANTS, Y'ALL. Including Trump. On 41 different charges. That's a hell of an indictment, and she knows it puts a target on her back, while (as noted) she doesn't have the resources and protections of the federal government/DOJ to do it.
Let's hear it for Fani Willis (and Judge Chutkan, who informed Trump the other day the more he runs his mouth, the faster she will proceed to trial) y'all.
Black Women Get Shit Done.

See, that's where we disagree. I think the idea of the Romney-Democrat voter is a stone cold lie; some R voters may virtue signal about abandoning Trump, but is it really believable they actually did it? Trump got more popular votes than Romney ever did.
Romney-Democrats didn’t generally vote for Trump! They’re like, wealthy college-educated types who think Trump is crass and either blanked 2016 or voted for Hillary (and then Biden). These are like, NoVa Biden-Youngkin voters, you know? They may vote Republican downballot but generally they’re not anti-choice or anti-LGBT on a legislative level, they’re just rich and judgmental lol. Basically, these are the people who think Mitt Romney’s 47% comment and Hillary Clinton’s deplorables comment are both correct lmao.
A lot of people in Arizona in particular are also McCain republicans who ended up voting for Biden in 2020 because Cindy McCain endorsed him and ended up voting for Mark Kelly and Katie Hobbs not least since Kari Lake said that McCain Republicans should fuck off. John McCain’s sons are out there doing fundraisers for AZ Dems like these people aren’t Trumpists at all.
My point is that it remains to be seen what all these people do if and when the Republican Party becomes the party of Glenn Youngkin and Brian Kemp like will ancestral Republicans stay loyal Democrats or will they revert to the GOP?

we didn't even have a "lockdown" or whatever in georgia, there was like two weeks in march 2020 where you weren't supposed to go out but even that was like a stern suggestion more than anything, after that you could do whatever the fuck you wanted. a lot of stuff was still closed but even that was mostly over by like august-september. fucking brian kemp reopened the state so early even trump said it was too soon! and people still talk about it like they got put in a fucking internment camp!!

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp: The governor urged all Georgians to join my family in praying for the safety of those in our classrooms both in Barrow County and across the state. via /r/atheism
Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp: The governor urged “all Georgians to join my family in praying for the safety of those in our classrooms, both in Barrow County and across the state.” Fuck, I just can't handle the stupidity any more, it just goes on and on, more and more dead children. When will they ever realize that their god: isn't listening doesn't care doesn't exist? Submitted September 05, 2024 at 01:04AM by SnowDogger (From Reddit https://ift.tt/TrJgVnR)

John Lewis died tonight
(February 21, 1940 - July 17, 2020)
A lifetime civil rights activist, he was the last surviving member of the “Big Six,” leaders and organizers for the March on Washington, alongside Martin Luther King Jr., James Farmer, A. Philip Randolph, Roy Wilkins, and Whitney Young.
He was a Congressman, representing Georgia’s 5th Congressional District since 1987. He was running for re-election this year in a majority black, majority Democratic district, with ceremonial opposition. He was expected to re-win his seat in another landslide, but now it’s totally up in the air.
The primaries are over, the Democrats can’t nominate someone else. The Republicans chose the WORST possible candidate; Angela Stanton-King is an ultraconservative black woman who was jailed for conspiracy for her involvement in a car theft ring. She served two years, and was pardoned by Donald Trump. She became a right-wing celebrity author, being sued for writing unflattering biographies of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, thinks gay people are pedophiles, and supports QANON whatever the fuck that is. She was expected to lose heartily, but now she’s all but guaranteed the win.
I don’t know Georgia state laws; some states allow you to run posthumously, so Lewis’ name would remain on the ballot, and if he were elected the seat would be left vacant. If they disqualify dead candidates, then the Democrats would need to run a write-in candidate and put all of their effort into this fledgling campaign. But because it’s Georgia, a conservative state with an ultraconservative governor, what’s gonna happen is they’re just gonna call the race for Stanton King. They’re gonna say that she is running unopposed, so she wins by default, disallowing the write-in candidates.
Suddenly, a Safe-D district will flip R, which would be a major victory for Trump and his goons because she the only prominent black woman who supports him. She’s their token black friend, they’ll parade her around and shoot down every BLM argument by turning to her and having her say that “All Lives Matter, cops are just doing their jobs, if you don’t break the law then you have nothing to fear, the system is just and all Americans are treated equally under the law.“ She’s their golden goose, she’s their “Get Out of Jail Free Card,” they can o and say whatever they want, assured that they have the support of a black woman (she’s the exception, not the rule; black woman vote 99% Democratic). They will use her to crush any opposing voices by having her just say “that’s not true, never happened to me, I’ve never been pulled over for no reason, I’ve never been molested by a boss, I’ve had nothing but positive experiences, so therefore your negative ones must be your own fault.” She’s their propaganda machine. She’s their literal race card, which they can play whenever they want.
This District was safely Democratic, and it will become yet another Republican stronghold by 2022. Georgia is a dumpster fire. Not quite Florida levels, but they’re pretty high up the list of worst state in the union. Kemp is actively trying to kill people by making it illegal to mandate masks in public (he wants people to VOLUNTARILY wear masks, saying the government shouldn’t force them, which is bullshit). I’m telling you, we’re THIS close to masks being outlawed entirely. Like the cops will start saying “masks make it hard for our facial recognition, people are getting away with more crimes, we need the make wearing a mask illegal,” and then poof, everyone is susceptible to the virus because Republicans Love Cops.
This is the worst news I’ve had all day. I looked up to John Lewis. I always wanted to meet him one day. And his legacy is about to be tarnished by conservative cheaters and a Trump supporting white-collar ex-con. God Damn them, and God Damn the United States.

i got a ride in to work this morning and the driver was playing some sort of leftie radio show/podcast that was taking a moment to praise a libertarian party for openly deriding atlanta's cop city and acting like because neither sen warnock and sen ossoff have said anything unequivocally against it that they're flopping. which is (1) annoying and (2) is still something that warnock doesn't appear to support www.pbs.org newshour politics atlanta-city-council-approves-project-decried-as-cop-city-rejecting-activists-fierce-opposition so i'm not seeing any real reason to be mad at him, so i'm worried that leftie media will take this sort of thing and run with it.
A) Obviously Cop City is a reprehensible and atrocious piece of shit, and the authorities have behaved abominably in trying to force it through, regardless of massive community opposition. That's not in debate.
B) Y'all have no, have no fucking idea how lucky we are to have Warnock and Ossoff in the Senate, and how much that is a testament to how Georgia Democrats (especially Black Georgia Democrats) worked their fucking asses off to give it to us. Absolutely none of the big legislative priorities of the last few years would have gotten done without those two extra reliably-blue Democratic votes in the Senate. They're also the reason we control the Senate at all, whether in the 50-50 setup where Harris was the tiebreaker, or the current 51-49 setup that gives us more control of committees. ESPECIALLY with the constant shenanigans Manchin and Sinema pulled and are still pulling. Without Warnock and Ossoff, much of Biden's legislative agenda would have died before it could ever be passed, not least because Mitch fucking McConnell would still be in fucking control of the Senate. And now, when Manchin is throwing a hissy fit and trying to torpedo Biden's progressive judicial nominees (such as the Asian-American and Muslim-American voting rights activists just confirmed to district courts, both of whom Manchin voted against), Warnock and Ossoff have been CRUCIAL in squeaking them over the line. Once again: none of this would be happening without Georgia. And Fani Willis is about to indict Trump's felonious orange ass a THIRD time. Any line about how They're Failing Us is ridiculous.
C) Leftist media is always looking for disingenuous ways to attack Biden and/or the Democrats. Even when, as noted, Warnock DOES NOT SUPPORT Cop City either, nobody who takes a serious look at his background and record would think that he does, and has been one half of the votes that are getting the entire Democratic agenda done. (Do you ever see him and Ossoff pulling this Manchin/Sinema bullshit? You fucking don't.) Even in a deep purple state like Georgia, which is flipping to Democrats federally (i.e. presidential, Senate) but still has Brian effin' Kemp as governor and a GOP-controlled legislature and AG. So as usual, this is stupid and counterproductive, but definitely in the minority. In the meantime, I'm gonna trust in the Black Georgia Democrats, Stacey Abrams and co., and everyone else who has worked their ASSES off to deliver us Warnock/Ossoff in the Senate, because. Yeah.

Donald Trump response to the Georgia mass shootings: We must move on and get over it
JD Vance response: It's a fact of life
Brian Kemp response: It's not the time to talk about this.
The usual chorus from Republicans thoughts and prayers.
Republicans response to our children and teachers being killed and traumatized yet again. It is sickening when a political party doesn't care Abt the children of America unless it is fetus. The live one living and going to school trying to grow up and experience life isn't cared Abt protected. When will children matter more than guns. Children can't line their pockets with hundred of thousands of dollars so the say to our children fuck you. Ur life means nothing
