"Oh thank god you're here," She exclaimed, a sigh of relief breaking from her lips as she yanked the door open to see her brother. "Do you hear them, right now?" She motioned over her shoulder to where their dads where in her kitchen currently debating how to improve the safety of her house now that they had heard the news of Mason's passing.

"How many protection charms do you think is too many? And should we be positioning someone to put up more pedestrian crossing signage?" Sammy asked, as he began to pour out the bag of charms he had brought with him onto the counter top. "I mean what if that had been Jasmine the other night or Tommy or Noel? I mean what about during the full moon? You wander all the time across the street without looking both ways as a wolf. Little vests would be a bit too much for them to wear, wouldn't they?"

"Por favor, mi corazón," Manuel moved around the counter to cup his husband's face in his hands. "Vests are a bit ridiculous. Don't you think?"

"I know, I know, I just get worried with us back in New York," Sammy began to admit only for Manuel to cut him off with an even more outrageous idea.

"We should booby trap the yard and make them all download find my friends while they're at it."

Jas turning back to Tommy told her brother through a tight smile, "Help me," as she yanked him inside and walking him straight into the kitchen. "Guess whose here?"

"¡mi hijo! ¿Eres tu? ¡Mírate! Te has vuelto tan grande," Manuel exclaimed, pushing past both Sammy and Jas to pull Tommy in for a tight bear hug. While Manuel had always been the less affectionate one out of the bunch, he made an exception when it came to his children and, despite Tommy being 6"2, he still managed to pick the boy up before placing him haphazardly back down to give him a hearty pat on the back. "Hasn't he gotten so big?" He glanced back over towards his husband who was already making his way around the counter to throw his arms around Tommy as well.

It had been a while since he stepped into a bar, but after news from Jules, he needed a drink or two. "And I know she'll be great at it, even if she may doubt herself, I just wasn't expecting to become a grandfather again, so soon. But, I guess that's the beauty of being a father, huh?"

The beat-boxing part though.

He is all for it. Loves the competitions and there is a really reaallly slim chance of him joining in. Never zero though so you test your luck ALOT.

Graffiti is his favorite part over all.

He loves the designs and colors. He may even let you graffiti his builds a bit if you beg enough.

So overall he loves the aspect of it all and would try it out himself sometime.

Especially Tommy.

Now if you do cave in then they will again beg you to dress them up appropriately for the championship, neon body paint, glow up eye contacts, temporary glow up hair dye and all the glow up clothes! Maybe even some glow up graffiti paint cans.

They are so hyped during the whole thing! Especially if you are in the championship!

They cheer the loudest for sure!

If you let them do graffiti for a bit afterwords they are gonna be so excited! signing their twitch/youtube names and all.

Be prepared for Tommy to tell sbi though and being a babysitter the whole time lol

You already know the drill with dadza.

He goes full parent mode making sure the body paint and hair dye isnt lethal and making sure you stay out of trouble.

But other then that hes chill.

No he wont dye his hair but he will entertain your ideas by painting his nails glow in the dark green and putting on glow body paint on his hands.

Best know he will show up to every championship ship to make sure you stay safe but he does enjoy it non the less.

He does have sensitive eyes though so he wont stick around for to long but he will be there most of the time.

If he can't make it he'll just send one of the sbi to watch you. (never tommy though, hes learned the hard way)

The moment you guys started getting along is the moment he knew you would rope him into something like this.

He does like it dont get him wrong, he even drags his band members to the championships and does all the get up. He does like to use the getup as an excuse to cosplay himself though.

His scars are is neon and glowing.

He even adds the pink hair strip. He blends right in with the crowd lol

but he is responsible and makes sure you are alright and he is the getaway driver when the feds show up to crash all the fun.

He loves your style and is shocked to find out your hair dye isnt temporary

he also thinks your beat-boxing is really cool and fun.

They LOVE your style so much!

They also ADORE your car. (which is neon (f/c) and glows)

You obviously met at a race so they were really hyped when they saw a new competitor/racer

After the race they had went up to your car and knocked on the window to try and greet you.

When you got out of the car they were flabbergasted by your style, you were in full outfit ready to go to your underground championship. Glowing hair,body paint eye contacts outfit and all.

They immediatly knew they needed to go where-ever you were going so they introduced themselves and asked where you were heading, you took them to the championship and they loved it!

Sapnap got bodypaint that made him look like he had lava all over.

Dream just stuck with the green glow eye contacts

while george did the glow up nail polish and blue splotches of body paint on his face and the rest is history.

Sapnap definitely joins in on the beat-boxing championship though lol

Surprising Black Swans

A popular ornamental waterbird in Europe and North America, the black swan (Cygnus atratus) is a species of swan endemic to Australia and New Zealand. In both their native and introduced ranges they can be found near bodies of fresh or salt water, especially lakes and wetlands with plenty of aquatic vegetation. The species is highly nomadic, and migrate based on yearly rainfall patterns.

Black swans are the second largest swan species, with a maximum weight of 9 kg (19.8 lbs) and a wingspan of 2 m (6.6 ft). Despite being smaller, black swans have the longest neck of any swan. Males, also known as cobs, are slight larger than females-- aka pens. As their name suggests, C. atratus has black plumage, although the flight feathers on their wings are white. The beak is a bright red with a white stripe, thought to be indication of an individuals health and sexual maturity.

Like all swans, the black swan mates for life. In addition to their high fidelity rates, C. atratus is also unique for its high rates of homosexual couples; about 25% of pairings are between individuals of the same sex (primarily males). These mates are known to steal eggs from other nests or form temporary ‘throuples’ with a member of the opposite sex, and some research has shown that homosexual couples are more than twice as likely to successfully raise their young as heterosexual couples.

The mating season for black swans occurs from February to September. While pairs are generally solitary, groups will nest in the same area to increase the chances of finding a mate and decrease the risk of predation. Pairs form when one an individual approaches another and initiates a ritual known as the Triumph Ceremony, in which the individual extends their wings and calls out. If the mate is receptive, they will repeat the gesture, and the pair will then go through a synchronous dance to solidify their pairing. This ceremony is repeated multiple times throughout each breeding season to strengthen the pair’s bond and affirm that between parent and chick.

Females lay 5 or 6 eggs in a clutch, and will alternate incubating them with her partner for 35 to 48 days. After hatching, the young- also known as cygnets- are fairly precocial but will stay in or near the nest for 2 to 3 weeks. It takes up to 6 months for them to completely lose their grey down and grow their adult plumage, though they remain with their family units for up to 9 months. Once they have fully fledged, juveniles join groups of other cygnets for 1-2 years, at which point they become sexually mature.

Black swans can present an intimidating threat to potential predators, so there are few animals that attack fully grown adults. However, eggs and young cygnets can be a target for ravens, birds of prey, and rodents. C. atratus themselves are herbivores and feed primarily on aquatic vegetation.

Conservation status: the IUCN has classified the black swan as Least Concern, and their native populations are stable.

Ford Mustang Mach I

A Cammer-Powered 616 HP Ford Mustang Mach 1 – “The Sin City Shaker”

This unusual Ford Mustang Mach 1 is fitted with a rare Ford 427 “Cammer” engine, a V8 with single overhead cams per bank allowing higher RPM operation. Ford originally developed the engine to take on Chrysler’s 426 Hemi in the world of NASCAR.

A Mach 1 Mustang fitted with the 7.0 liter Ford pushrod V8 is a quick car by any standard, particularly in a straight line, but the use of the Cammer 7.0 liter V8 with its SOHC takes it up a few notches – from 335 hp to 616 hp.

Fast Facts – The Mach 1 And The Mighty Cammer V8

Ford developed the “Cammer” V8 in just 90 days in the early 1960 using their existing 427 FE pushrod V8 as a starting point. Their goal was to take on the Chrysler 426 Hemi V8 in NASCAR.

The final production Cammer engine had a single overhead cam per bank spun by a 6 ft long timing chain, and they produced 616 hp at 7,000 rpm and 515 lb ft torque at 3,800 rpm – up to 657 bhp with improved carburetors.

The Ford Mustang Mach 1 was introduced in 1968 as a higher performance version of the standard Mustang. It came with competition suspension and front and rear spoilers, but much of the package was focussed on the car’s looks.

No Cammer V8 engine was fitted to a production car by Ford in period, but this hasn’t stopped enthusiasts from doing their own engine swaps. The car you see here has been professionally converted, looking like a factory-built Cammer Mach 1 might have, had Ford ever built one.

The “90 Day Wonder” – Ford’s Cammer V8

When Ford engineers set out to develop a new V8 to challenge the Chrysler 426 Hemi V8 in the fiercely competitive world of NASCAR racing they knew they had their work cut out for them.

To both simplify and speed up the development process they started with a preexisting engine block – the race-proven 427 FE pushrod V8. The block was modified and a pair of new heads were designed that, very unusually for an American V8 at the time, had a single overhead cam per bank.

Single and double overhead cam engines had largely been the realm of the Europeans, specifically the Italians, Brits, and Germans. Compared to pushrod engines, overhead cam engines typically tolerate higher RPM operation, opening up additional power when designed well.

It was this additional power that Ford engineers were chasing. They took the FE block and modified it to accept the new heads they have developed, the overhead cams would be powered by a 6 ft (1.8 meter) long timing chain and a slew of other minor changes would be made to the engine to safely permit higher-RPM usage.

The length of that timing chain would quickly become a problem for the engine, it necessitated that one cam be a mirror of the other, and under high-RPM usage the cam timing could vary by 7º or more due to the chain stretching.

Sadly, before the engine could even turn in a single lap, it was banned by NASCAR along with the Chrysler Hemi engine as part of a crack down on “special racing engines.”

The Cammer Goes Drag Racing

Rather than dump the Cammer project Ford continued to develop the engine in the hopes of changing the minds of those making decisions at NASCAR, in the meantime they sent the engine off into the world of drag racing – where it proved wildly successful.

Many of the big names in 1960s drag racing were putting the Cammer to good use, including Bill Lawton who won the AHRA and NHRA Winternationals in 1966. Other Cammer pilots included Mickey Thompson, Gerry Schwartz, Tommy Grove, Tom Hoover, Pete Robinson, Connie Kallita, and many others.

1967 would see Connie Kalitta’s Cammer-powered “Bounty Hunter” slingshot dragster win the Top Fuel events at the AHRA, NHRA, and NASCAR winter meets – becoming the only “triple crown” winner in the history of American drag racing.

These successes should be no great surprise, as many drag racing outfits were getting over 2,500 hp out of their supercharged Cammers.

The Cammer Mach 1 Shown Here – “The Sin City Shaker”

The car you see here was nicknamed “The Sin City Shaker” thanks to its combination of a Ford Cammer V8 engine and a shaker hood.

The shaker hood was offered as an option on the Mach 1, it comprises of a hole in the hood and a special air scoop mounted directly to the top of the engine. The air scoop rises through the hole in the hood when the hood is closed, and when the engine is running the scoop can be seen to be shaking – hence the name.

Power is provided by a rare, original Ford 427 cubic inch Cammer V8 producing 616 hp at 7,000 rpm and 515 lb ft torque at 3,800 rpm. Power is sent back through a 4-speed manual transmission to the rear axle.

As a Mach 1, the car has that distinctive livery on the outside, including side stripes, a matte black hood with hood pins, a front lip spoiler, and a rear trunk lid spoiler. Inside you’ll find a black-on-black interior and a Hurst cue ball shifter.

Took me some but here you have the character profile for my character, as promised in this post. Name: "Wilbur" Agathus Soot (in Basic[English in my Shattered!Verse]); Hilbert Agathus (in Ancient) Species: Nephilim(Half-Angel; Half-Godling of Death) Age: 36-ish (not counting the time spent in the Sky Gods' Games); 43 (in tHAW) Eye Colour: Dark Hazel Brown (but it mostly looks whiskey coloured because of the magic in his blood) Height: 192cm (6'2 ft) Description: Because of his height, he seems very lanky, making him look deceptively fragile. But he is actually quite well built because of all the training he has undergone under his father, Philza. Wil is pretty pale, almost pasty, no matter how much sun he gets, and has a semi-permanent tired look in his eyes. His hair is dark auburn making them look brown in almost all lighting but direct light where the copper highlights are more evident, he keeps them long enough to tie a low, short ponytail at the back of his head. He has scars all over his body, mostly focused on his chest and arms from the constant fighting against the monsters of the night(mobs), and a jagged scar on his back, that he got during the L'Manberg War, that still hurts to this day. He has very sharp canines because of his non-human heritage, though they sharpen only when he is particularly furious, worried or feeling protective. He's also selfless to a fault, always trying to do best for the people he cares about, no matter what that costs him.
