Yeah I really like the parallels here between WWX and Little apple.#Specifically the sense of how we get a nod to how he's changed.#Little apple and WWX have both grown a little less lean and hungry (one literally the other metaphorically)#This whole episode is basically about WWX's desire for something peaceful and domestic in his life.#and here is little apple - his first companion from the start of his new life - changed to something softer.#Very much a 'look how far we have come moment' that is rather subtle but enjoyable.

#I'M NOT A HATER I SWEAR I ACTUALLY REALLY LIKE IT ON PAPER #i do however think that it came literally out of nowhere and was hella rushed and kinda ridiculous #like. if the argument is that original ekko fell in love with jinx it doesn't make sense because they were enemies for most of their lives #if the argument is that current ekko fell in love with au powder and now projects these feelings on jinx it's kinda uh. messed up #because she's a whole different person. entirely. it doesn't matter if both these version started out as a 9-year old powder. they had #extremely different lives and experiences and thinking that “there's still this kind of powder in jinx deep down” is straight-up awful #OR even if he didn't project his feelings for powder on jinx why would he love her in the current universe? last time they met she blew them #up and now she wants to commit suicide. there's literally no reason for him to have any kind of feelings except the slight friendly #affection that's left from all those years ago. and yet the show and most importantly the fandom treats them like a couple??? i don't get it #also it's kinda insane that s2 turned jinx and ekko into flat shipping material #again. obviously i have nothing against the shippers and do not condemn it in any way. i'm just expressing my thoughts on the matter #also what pisses me off the most. is how in ep9 jinx in fully painted with ekko's symbols here and there. has the bandage (?) on her chest #like vi. has a hood that looks like a drawing that isha made. and yet there's no fishbones or any reference to silco at all #i mean. i get it s2 hates him but i can't help it #they gave her all these relationships and pretended that they're significant to her and yet they didn't have any proper development #to really earn it #arcane critical #arcane season 2 #anti timebomb #jinx arcane #ekko arcane

sometimes i forget that people genuinely perceive season four sam exorcising demons w his powers as genuinely horrible, or even scale his killing the nurse in 4.22 as the worst he's ever done. on the 4.04, "use the knife!" and [proceeds to use the demon blade and angel blade for seasons upon season afterward] and drains multiple people in 5.21 and 7.15 flashback scene show

#kindergarten concept to me. like can we be fr lmfao #tbh soulless!sam has done 'worse' than sesson four sam and sam still managed to take responsibility for it AS figuring out what happened #i genuinely really do forget that people interpret the show from this level of dissonant narrative framing #even sam's letting lucifer out of the cage was highly manufactured (both in terms of the actual event + sam's consent)#like i get it people who think of the show this way could care less since they're not actually interested in sam much less #this hypocritical view of him at all but like even if you believe in the dichotomy of monstrosity they show you sam saving lives #+ his motivations within that season. even his drinking of the blood was consensual and was even attempted to be forced onto him #in specific instances so your dislike of it mainly just comes down to your dislike of the imagery or idea of it #which is shallow as hell at best and negligent of sam's 'supernatural' circumstance as a character at worst #also re: theo's tags the 'well. he was killing innocent people' as if the whole reason he was doing in the first place wasn't #because he curved that !! he says it at the end of 4.01 and again in 4.04 he was saving people with 'this curse' and he was proud of that #he literally‚ on screen‚ within canon events‚ was doing the Opposite of killing innocent people and the ways #in which he did kill innocent people were typical monster kills on the monster hunting show #&#referat
