#tm speaks #i've gotten a hankering for t/hea s/isters stuff again and one dear to me was kind enough to surprise me with some #from the library #granted only one of the books she got was one that i had actually read in elementary but still #anyways yeah #i think i'm going to keep some t/hea s/isters books on me at all times now #so i can read those instead of scrolling through tunglr as a break #the larger texts are easier on the eyes as well #than say ''a/cross a s/tar-s/wept s/ea''#the pictures are v nice too #and i've been wanting to read some w/hatever a/fter too but alas #like my t/hea s/isters books i gave the #m away as well #thank goodness for libraries

unsung benefit i think a lot of ppl are sleeping on with using the public library is that i think its a great replacement for the dopamine hit some ppl get from online shopping. it kind of fills that niche of reserving something that you then get to anticipate the arrival of and enjoy when it arrives, but without like, the waste and the money.

#im not much of an online shopper myself but i do find that the feeling i get from browsing the library catalogue to place holds #is the same i get from figuring out how to spend a gift card

seriously have been thinking about this all night long. call me autistic but the fact that 90% of workplaces the point is not to get your work done and then be done doing it but to instead perform an elaborate social dance in which you find something to do even when you're done doing everything you need to do in order to show your fellow workers that you, too, are Working . because you are at Work . disgusting why cant we all agree that if there is no work immediately to be done. we just dont do anything

#i personally like to not be doing things constantly at all times. it stresses me out #i know there are ppl who thrive on cosntant activity #but me i like to chill out.#and the problem then becomes that i only ACTIVELY remember to do work and Find More Work To Do when im stressed #at the thought that others might want to see me working #if im ever relaxed i just dont look for stuff to do #catch 22 of modern work culture which permeates even ostensibly noncapitalist structures like public libraries #for instance: will it really kill anybody if the books get shelved by me now after a very busy day?#or shelved tomorrow morning by. well probably me since i'll be the one at the desk #not in the slightest #but it was work that wasnt being immediately done by me. therefore it was incorrect behavior #that i failed to identify because my instinct is to relax when not immediately presented with a Situation #this got me labeled as 'having no initiative' by my dad from a very early age #and even as an adult i still feel like im a child with no initiative

Mmmmm I absolutely think impulse should go to a gay bar anon. I think he should go out one night in a fit of frustration at something about himself. His body, his sexuality, whatever. He just needed a night to experiment. To sit at the edge of a crowd and wonder about what could have been.

What I think should also happen is a large hand on his shoulder, a voice that sounds far too familiar. And when he jumps and turns, it's not skizz. Of course it's not skizz, he's not gay, he'd never go somewhere like this. But while this gentleman doesn't look exactly like his life long best friend, he's still taller than impulse, stronger, greyer, and his tone to skizz's is almost uncanny. It'd almost be rude for impulse to deny his advances, right? It'd be rude for him to say no to getting pinned up against a bathroom stall door and fucked within an inch of his life. And if he happens to whimper a pathetic little "Andy..." while getting railed by this stranger, then who would blame him, really. 🥰

Bruce: why are you so surprised? He didn’t jump on too my chandeliers which I had to replace each week
