"I am writing to ask your help in advancing peace in the east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The U.S. State Department, the Congolese government, the United Nations and a number of human rights organizations have said that the Rwandan government led by President Paul Kagame is backing the M23 rebels that are one of the major forces fueling conflict in the Congo

In 2013 the Obama Administration withheld aid from Rwanda for supporting this same M23 group and we would like For you to do the same today. The State Department says there is "credible evidence that Rwanda is providing support to the M23.

There is a US Law, P.L. 109-456, The Democratic Republic of the Congo, Relief, Security and Democracy Promotion Act that says the Secretary of State is authorized to withhold assistance to countries that destabilize the Congo.

I ask you to act with urgency because valued lives are at stake in the Congo."

yes, we shouldn't ignore the terrible events going on right now (Palestine, Sudan, etc), but I think we need some reminders because some of the posts i've been reading have been giving off *extremely* guilt-trippy vibes: Not posting about current events or bad things =/= not caring. Not reblogging =/= not caring. Adding "don't scroll past this" or "reblog this or block me" to posts is guilt-trippy as hell. And lastly, online activism is not the only form of activism.

Charity Commissions Redone:

Minor changes to the charity commissions, I’ll now do half-body with sketchy line-art but full shading and colouring for $15.

Additional characters would be $10, and willing to add on some additional details for free.

I shall provide links for the charities to donate to (please tell me whether you would like to donate for Moroccan Earthquake relief or Palestine aid).

I’ll have four slots open, two for Morocco, and two for Palestine.

Payment expected first, preferable for the commissioner to have donated and shown me the proof of payment due to deductions from conversion fees (but if it’s me doing the donation, I shall show the commissioner proof of payment).

Hear me out guys. Soundwave and Shockwave are probably either. The best friends ever, enemies or dating. I also feel like no matter what they would start out as enemies no matter what.

Soundwave, Megatron's most loyal subject, eyes and ears of the Decepticons.

Shockwave, the mad scientist who only helps Megaton for his betterment and would kill Megatron if he wanted to or if he simply found no use for him.

Now if the war never happened, best friends. But because of their views and who they're loyal to or lack of loyalty. It would totally change their perception on each other.

Like Shockwave wouldn't give two flying fucks about Soundwave. But still keeps on eye on him just as much as he does for Megatron if not more. And knows that if he kills Megatron he has to kill Soundwave to and has plans just incase.

Soundwave if fully aware of Shockwave and his agendas, same as anyone in the Decepticons. But let's say Soundwave haa more intel on Shockwave then even Shockwave himself knows. He is the 'Eyes and Ears' of the Decepticons after all. Which means he's already 5 steps ahead; he has a counterplan for Shockwave's, and not only that but multiple back up plans.

Their ordeal mainly consist of overly complex insults that are hard to pick up on, and passive aggressiveness at every waking moment.

Eventually the two realize how illogical it is for them to be so spiteful towards each other. And at some point start to get along. Eventually they start getting really close and share intel while sitting closely. Face Timing each other while they work when they can't accompany the other. Subtle yet complex flirting. (Yeah, they'd be a great bundle. Whether they'd be friends or lovers.)

I want to talk to people in countries undergoing humanitarian crisis so they can tell me themselves what is like and what sources to trust and what sources NEVER.

Like, I know what Venezuelan sources I can trust because I have the cuatro in the heart, I carry in the blood the foam of the sea, and your horizon in my eyes (see: Venezuela (song)).

But... The only reliable source I can think for other countries will be... People from said countries. And since I want to spread information about them, I'm genuinely scared of spreading misinformation.

I really don't want to end up being more of a problem saying things that are not true. Because I know how horrible it is that people try to speak FOR you instead of trying to amplify YOUR voice when you're in the middle of a dictatorship.

you know. A lot of things piss me off about the modern tiktok hippie movement, a lot. But the one thing that pisses me off the most is the lack of discussion or advocacy for Palestine or Sudan or the Congo or Ukraine. Do these """hippies""" not know what the fuck they're about????? I'm not a hippie myself but ISTG I hold more hippie values than the tiktok faecore clip-on dread head hippies rapping about healing their kidneys with mind magic.

Hippies were literally born out of the Vietnam war. They were super anti-war, rage against the machine, earth loving high freaks. Yeah, a lot of them were doing it for the trend, for the style, and dropped it as soon as they needed to get a job and work at daddies bank, but their message was still clear. "Peace and love" "make love not war" ect. Ect. We're their main slogans. Now??? Where's that energy for Palestine??? For Ukraine????? For any and all countries under occupation and are being massacred????

Hippies now are embarrassing. If you want to clip fake dreads into your hair and wear evil eyes and say any and all things are your "spirit animal" and dance and pretend to be high, fine. You look goofy, but fine. But don't be quiet about this. Be the hippie you're supposed to be. Hippies aren't just vibes. They're supposed to be for love, for peace. Not polyester Temu Rasta caps.

Reminder to talk about palestine and congo and sudan not just online if you're not already doing that ! having face to face conversations about important events and topics in your daily interactions is very important. you don't know if the person in front of you knows what you know even if they're pro palestine and are watching the news and keeping up online, and so many people still don't know about congo or much about it and what to do to help. and a lot of people are still confused on what is going on in sudan and how did it start and why and how to help even tho they support the Sudanese people whole heartedly. so talk to the people that are around you so they can go and look more into it and they can learn from you. and don't underestimate your one person power because people change of course not all of them and sometimes you will get weird reactions ( and I encourage you if those people refuse to change if you can cut them off your life ) but don't let that discourage you because I myself have changed minds of so many people that are even double my age as a teen and now as a 22 year old and it honestly surprises me sometimes that they actually change and start asking me questions and recommendations to where to read and learn. Keep talking both online and face to face !
