It’s got sisters angst (because I love the Black brothers to death, but the girls deserve more hype), sweet pandalily falling in love, lots of background characters and ships (wolfstar, dorlene, jegulus, rosekiller) and great friendships, complex feelings with eventual growth (please give my Petunia a chance, I am having so much fun writing her), and some fun magic exploration

Summary:

No one can get under your skin quite like a sister.

After her final year at Hogwarts, Lily intends to spend the summer enjoying all of the free time she has with her friends, before they each have to find their place in adult life. She just has to get through her sister’s engagement party first.

Petunia is closer than ever to having the perfect life. Her and Vernon are going to get married, buy a house, and have children. But her sister always has to make everything about her, and Petunia has had enough of all things freakish always ruining her happiness.

They don’t understand each other anymore, but perhaps the magic that made them grow apart can bring them together again.

Or, Lily and Petunia wake up having magically switched bodies, and are forced to open up to each other to find their way back to themselves.

having seen at least the rough outlines of all the romances now I have to say that I think emmrich's is probably objectively the best in terms of coherence and completeness of story arc (with the understanding that ultimately the 'best' romance is whichever one makes YOUR heart sing anyway so objectivity is a silly thing to claim that way, it just felt like it's the arc with the most well-paced focused content and the least dangling threads)... but lucanis' is my favourite haha. just. the whole kneeling before your beloved full of reverence but without any of the distance that usually implies??? his complete undramatic certainty and calm in every scene with rook after this, having spent the whole game caught between fear and longing???? mr. lives in a pantry but it says nothing about my psyche don't worry about it it's purely for tactical reasons that I keep myself contained in a small dark room not entirely unlike a cell, love among the parsnips -- finally coming to rook in their room and it's so comfortable and comforting???? after all the times rook supports and comforts him through the game he's finally able to return the same to them when they need it while being so calm and steady and it's so fucking sweet and feels so effortless and with no price attached?????? he basically assigns himself the role of your bodyguard and he WILL stab a god over it??????????????? the turn to protector (which was in his heart all along longing to get out and find a place) of it all????? he sounds like he's found himself unexpectedly stumbling into such a soul-lightening state of revelatory existential relief, full on 'you only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves' mary oliver style, and he goes and he shares that with rook and protectively envelops them in it when they're hurting??????????????????????????? hello for the maker's sake hello can anyone hear me?????

vestiges

Had some fun with my thought process for these designs so I thought it'd also be fun to share <3

The two of them don't have skin per se— Koda is described to be a being of obsidian in the show so I wanted to lean into that as an overarching theme for the vestiges, where the solid part of their bodies (I think all vestige forms are like 30%-40% magical mist/smoke/whatever and 60%-70% actual physical mass, though the makeup varies between vestige) more closely resemble minerals and the like than anything organic. Koda specifically was designed after marbled obsidian, and Benevolence after shattered porcelain that is repaired via the Japanese art of Kintsugi, where broken pottery is repaired with a gold dyed glue medium.

Benevolence only appears 'human' from about the chest up, the entire lower half of his body is a floating mass of hands and mist obscured by the robes the hands hold up. I like to think most vestiges look entirely inhuman like Koda does, but Benevolence assumed a (slightly) more human-like appearance after integrating himself with Hominine, likely in some attempt to appear more welcoming to his followers. His hair is also always moving as though weightless or underwater, functioning like the misty haze that makes up part of his form rather than how natural human hair should function. His halo also appears perfectly behind his head no matter what angle you look at him from, and can be slightly disorienting and almost nauseating to look at.

My Koda has antlers because of the Chaperones at the Auction choosing stags for their avatars, even if stags have no connection to Koda in canon I just liked the symbolism/look of it :3. My Benevolence is also blind, the significance of which I touch on a bit in this hc post abt prestige and its affects that I made a few weeks ago!

Other inspirations for their designs specifically are Kalameet from Dark Souls 1 for Koda and Miquella from Elden Ring for Benevolence!

I can’t believe a boyfriend made a silly sex joke to lighten the mood after both partners had a moment of vulnerability. The audacity. The horror. The normalcy! Unbelievable. How dare a conversation about feelings turn to levity. -Flowers is a dance teacher as a Hobby (mostly ballet but his studio does have Options!), who has a Vast and Wide collection of stickers for his students, his friends and himself. He picked all the bumper stickers for Sarge’s motorcycle, and his helmet is decked out w stickers from his students bc those are his favorites to show off, trust me

-Sarge is a mechanic, and that old style bike is his goddamn baby. He loves it. He has told Flowers he will divorce his ass if he ever wants Sarge to get rid of the bike but Flowers loves the bike too! Sarge is the one who got them not quite matching but color coordinated helmets because it’s Sarge.

-They’re both unapologetically obnoxious about their husband/partner/love of their life but they don’t often mention them by name, specifically, so they both end up jumpscaring like, half their weirdly overlapped friend groups the first time they both show up to an event together

-They have a cat named Lopez, affectionately called Dos Point O, because the actual Human Lopez got annoyed with being called Human Lopez and threatened to steal custody of the cat if they kept it up.

-Flowers has a tattoo collage of various state flowers over the length of his leg, but he is always vague on what exactly it means when asked about it, but he will openly confess to being the artist. Sarge has a small tattoo of an orange blossom on his shoulder from flowers as well :3
