I definitely do! I'll go into it under the cut!

trobed is, for me, THE ship. They’re my favorite, and that one ship that I keep coming back to. they’re also one of the few ships out there where, I truly cannot imagine them with anyone else. like sure, I think there have been cases in between for both of them (Britta, Abed’s side adventures, Rachel, etc,) but none of those are relationships that I think can last, because Troy and Abed are so endgame—it’s like, they’re the one ship I look at and go, oh, okay, soulmates, and it’s because they actively worked for it.

Troy put effort into being Abed’s friend, and Abed has so much patience with Troy—they take the time to actually work. It looks so fun and seamless on screen, they’re so whimsical, it almost looks like it’s so easy and that they clicked right away, but no, they had to work for it. (Somewhere Out There being an example, with Troy realizing he has to help Abed too. The whole STD fair bit where Abed catches on to Troy being in the midst of a toxic masculinity induced breakdown and letting him win, etc.) And they have to keep working on it, (the celebrity impersonators, the pillow and blanket war, the lava and Abed learning to let Troy go and Troy learning how to leave, etc.)

they work because they took the time to do so. And because of that, and what they bring out in each other (Troy pulling Abed from viewer to active cast member, Abed pulling Troy from the repressed jock persona) as well as the actual insanity of the depths of their feelings for each other (just look at the way they look at each other. listen to the words that come out of their mouths. “Other half. I love you. I know. You were out there somewhere and you weren’t looking for me? By the way when I cloned you, I had to patch some missing parts of your DNA with genes from a homing pigeon. You may notice some side effects, like the compulsion to come back.” Just think for a second about how abed views Troy as a remarkable in a world of unremarkables.)

not to mention the way they complement each other. abed likes being in control (he’s a self-described control freak) and Troy likes being told what to do (‘I miss being told what to think’) and in particular seems very happy to be told what to do by abed.

They drive me crazy. and so, when it comes to Troy and Abed respectively, I don’t have any ships for them that isn’t just Trobed. And I mean, they’re also both very jealous or possessive when it comes to the other so, yeah, once they’re together I feel like it’d stay like that. Troy just needs to come back from sea already.

I was just trying to explain first that I do have other community ships but not in regards to Troy and Abed. Now onto the other ships before I get sidetracked again;

Jeff/Britta— they are my second fave ship like. I love them to an unhealthy degree, and I love how they also build off each other. (The “you need to bang his mom” scene always gets me) I read a fic once, by @troybarnesbabygirlconfirmed where Jeff was thinking about how he and Abed are so similar, and if anything "Abed was simply Jeff more devoutly committed to the people he loves, and that Troy is Abed’s Britta." I’ve been losing my mind over that ever since because yeah, that’s it exactly. You know how I said Trobed are soulmates not just bc of the way they click but because they work to understand each other? Jeff and Britta have that too, I think, in that Jeff does value what Britta says, and Britta cares so much. Jeff cares so much. The thanksgiving episode will forever gut me. The only reason I haven’t put JeffBritta on the Trobed-level is because whereas I cannot separate Troy and Abed, I do have another Jeff ship and another Britta ship.

Jeff/Shirley- okay. okay hear me out. how come nearly everyone had some sort of entanglement within the study group and not Shirley? I don’t think it’s just cause of Andre. I like Jeff/Shirley. They’re the same age, and they complement each other well, with Jeff trying to run from love while simultaneously craving it, and Shirley trying to hold on to love and toughing it out even when sometimes it doesn’t seem worth it at all. Besides, the whole foosball episode, where they found out they knew each other when they were kids? I love that episode, because the way they were hanging out and having fun was just so precious. And, in the episode with Blade, it’s also revealed that whenever Jeff is up to some sort of scheme/plan/type thing that he doesn’t want the others to know about, he goes with Shirley. He loves gossiping with Shirley. Their rapport is just so good, I loved seeing it. And I can’t help but remember that one post about an AU where in s1, after Shirley’s divorce, and when Jeff is living in his car, Shirley puts up a room in her home for rent, and Jeff ends up moving in. The POTENTIAL. Him meeting and interacting with her kids. we could have had it all. I know s1 Jeff may not have been ready for that. But we could have had it all!!!

Rich Stephenson/Ben Chang- entering crack ship territory but I just think it would be so funny.

Annie/A Girlfriend- She's a lesbian guys. At least, that's my take. I cannot view her as a character who isn't experiencing comphet. Okay. Sexuality is fluid, and I've never been into labels myself because sometimes, the overlap and intersection of attraction--in whichever form--gets tricky for me, personally. Like okay, I think Abed, Jeff, and Britta are bi. I think Annie is a lesbian, and that Shirley is straight. But sometimes I look at Troy, who I think is gay, and think yeah, he could be a high 5, almost 6, on the Kinsey scale. Which is to say--I think he's gay! But I think there could be a small possibility of a moment or two where he could get dominated by a strong capable woman. Do I think the chance is high? No. Its low but not totally zero. But then, this is Troy we're talking about. Troy who once made it clear to Annie that he liked butt stuff while holding his arms out and closing his eyes, so we can only assume from that moment that he was expecting her to top. That and Troy is someone who can be weird about his gender as we--oh my god, i went on another tangent AGAIN, I am so sorry. basically--GIVE ANNIE A GIRLFRIEND. i see the potential for annie kim/annie edison, i think it would be hilarious, but also, I was rewatching CW's Nancy Drew with one of my friends and. I was so enamored with the character of Bess to the point where I think, FBI agent Annie should get with a down on her luck former-conwoman from London. (Someday I'll finish my transfemme Troy Barnes fic and Annie will get that plotline, SOMEDAY)

1.) Her character started out as "naive but passionate activist who has no idea how to wield her convictions effectively" (ripe for comedic misadventures! can and does happen to people of any gender!) to "hot girl has opinions haha isn't that silly can you imagine" (that's misogyny, baby!).

2.) She has decent enough potential as a character but the writers had no idea what to do with her so instead of filling out her character they kept rewriting her to fill whatever role they needed to in the story usually making her the butt of the joke

3.) People call her the worst. What if she is actually the best and Jeff is the worst, huh? Jeff is a freaking whore. Britta gets sidelined and flanderized. She just wants to help.

GRELLE SUTCLIFF (BLACK BUTLER) (CW: Transphobia)

1.) Not in the fandom but picked up stuff about her from other tournaments.

She's transfem, and the mangaka apparently had a lot of stereotypes in mind on her first appearance before learning and giving her proper development.

The anime took away all of that development and kept the stereotypes. Because of this I didn't even know she was trans and just assumed the fandom like genderbending this specific character - ended up figuring it out from a similarly-themed poll.

2.) Disregarded by her love interests, misgendered by nearly everyone, disrespected in her profession.

3.) Much of the fandom misgenders her and calls her a cross dresser (or a cisman drag queen) rather than respecting her as the woman she is. She uses she/her pronouns and describes herself as a woman. She has even said outright in the text that she wants to get SRS! Even her wiki page uses she/her pronouns but the fandom at large still doesn't respect her gender, to the point where people who don't watch/engage with Black Butler often think she's a crossdressing man. The characters in the show also misgender her CONSTANTLY, which contributes to how people see her as "quirky" rather than as a woman.

Jeffbritta — I really like them they compel me quite a bit! I thought about putting them higher but because part of their whole thing is that they’re the normie toxic hets who are so basic in concept that they work all the way around to be subversive and fun I thought this ranking made sense for them. Also it’s true that the first time I was watching Comm it took me awhile to warm to them but eventually did and then on my second watch through I got real attached. Hand in unloveable hand core. Trobed — they’re great they compel me Geothermal Escapism makes me cry so much. I don’t think I have anything really insightful to add they’re the moment. Abedison — in a lot of ways this is my favorite community dynamic… they are my two favorite characters so that’s part of it. I love them romantically or platonically or queer-platonically, they’re two bisexuals in love they’re lesbian bi solidarity they’re a yuri couple nonbinary Abed rights they’re in a qpr with Troy they’re in a polyamorous relationship with Troy they’re in a fake relationship to cover up identity fraud one if them (could be either) committee and/or a murder one of them (Annie) committed, they’re neurotic freaks who understand each other best and they’re worsties. I did write multiple romantic Annie/Abed fics during quarantine with an account that’s now orphaned. My feelings on them as a ship are less cut and dry than on Trobed and Jeffbritta though hence placements.

Jabed — I also go back and forth on platonic/romantic with them but either way am compelled, a fascinating dynamic and foil ship, the most important relationship of the show in some ways. Critical Film Studies is usually the episode that puts me in a shippy mood where they’re concerned because there are Vibes present in that one.

Brittannie — the thing with them is I find them compelling but mostly from an Annie perspective because I very much read her as having feelings for Britta at points in the show and am interested in what it means for her, I’m less interested in seeing them together romantically in most scenarios except for the Brittannie Carmilla au I wrote one time, that was compelling to Me. Also I do flip flop on how I feel about them if you’d asked me when I first got into community I would have been more enthusiastic and maybe I’ll change my mind again next rewatch.

Frankie x Britta — I remember being into them but I don’t remember the justification much but.. it’s a good dynamic cute first date idea surprise a girl in her car and bond over nihilism in a round about way. There is a balancing effect there.

Im trying to think of something that would be thematically appropriate/something i can see tim coming up with but im so stumped bc both robin and red robin have been someone elses first and tim feels so tied to being a legacy guy, which isnt bad but. U know. I will take anything but robin at this point. Ive seen cardinal and rook around and i think you mentioned red heron once? Which are all great i enjoy them and i would love to see them. Britta and i also talked a lot about rosefinch but thats for a specific au... The thing is all these feel very random? I like them but i dont think tim would google a list of birds and just pick one he wants to be now (which is what i do. When trying to come up with a new tim identity) like i would like it to be something thats meaningful, like nightwing got offered to dick with a fitting story and robin is already a symbol, but i cant think of anything for tim rn.. It doesnt even have to be a bird tbf as much as i love a good bird. So im open to ideas i would love to hear what takes people have on this

Design wise i think ive been pretty loud about how much i love red robin in my ideal (and laziest) world i would simply keep that suit but thats not how it works.. I would definitely keep the cowl thats my one strong stance of the costume. Like aside from the fact that its sick in a freak way it is actually a good mask that conceals the face which. I know comics dont tend to care about but i do and i like it so<3 I also like this second design i think something like that could be fun it would never happen in rebirth but a girl can dream basically predictably enough my ideal costume would just be a modified red robin costume

Sorry, but...I can't be the only one who just doesn't understand why everyone is so in love with Jeff and Abed's dynamic, right? Like yeah they have some nice moments, but like...the way Jeff views Abed has always gotten under my skin.

Yeeeeeaaaahhh. Okay so I wanna talk about this. And I'm gonna put a warning here, if anyone reading this is like a huge Jeff fan you might wanna skip it. Because I got some shit to say, and it's not complimentary. And I do not want to start a fight with anyone, I just...yeah I got opinions on this. And to anon too TL;DR is I completely agree.

So everyone talks about season six and yeah that was the worst of it, but honestly that didn't just come out of nowhere. Jeff's treatment of Abed in season six is the culmination of a tendency that has always been there. Jeff has never consistently treated Abed well. The calling him a computer, telling him to shut up, repeatedly dismissing his ideas and interests...yeah. It sucks.

And honestly it seems like Abed stuck up for himself more earlier on, like with the "I know I'm not Batman, you could try not being a jerk" and the "I know the difference between reality and TV" thing. The first time Jeff calls Abed a computer, Abed responds by revealing that he's figured out Jeff and Britta are sleeping together. He acts like he's playing along, and then says something Jeff decidedly was not looking for. Like okay you want a computer? I'll show you a fucking computer.

But later on, he stops doing that stuff. Jeff calls him a computer, he nods and does what he wants. He stops confronting him and just takes the insults. Which makes sense, I mean if someone you generally like and even look up to just sometimes attacks you with these snide little remarks...you might decide to put up with it. If someone repeatedly implies or outright states that you're not human, it's easy to start believing them. Especially if you've been treated similarly before. At least he's not shoving him in a locker, right?

So by the time of season six, they have this dynamic where Jeff knows he can take his issues out on Abed and get away with it. And it gets to the point where he can hit him and yell at him and say he's only pretending to not know what's real, and there are no real consequences. And he can choke him (admittedly not realising how badly he was hurting him but still) and then Abed will freaking comfort Jeff. A fully established adult having a tantrum over his ego, abusing a much younger, autistic, mentally ill man, and then relying on said man for emotional support. I just. This is a comedy.

Like yeah, there are some nice moments. Earlier on there's even some moments where Jeff is the nicest to Abed (like being the only person to realise it's messed up to force him to change to appeal to girls). And there's definitely something interesting in the dynamic. There's parallels in their abandonment issues and such, and I think Abed makes Jeff uncomfortable for reasons that have to do with repression and vulnerability. And I guess it's meant to be pretty clear that Jeff is deeply unwell. But it's no excuse. And it's heartbreaking to watch.

I don't know what plans they have for britta little lesbian character but i think she should be the next season's villain when she goes back to riverdale but in the ultimate villain move she doesn't want to destroy it but instead turn everyone gay to spread queer joy with a gayfication ray. And Cheryl is like okay i like your plan so they start building a gayfication ray amplifier in the mansion. But milf alice smith is like you cannot do that straight people deserve to exist and the she storms the mansion with the straight rights group (she is founding member of course) to stop cheryl and they try to burn down the mansion but Cheryl gets like ptsd flashbacks to that time abigail was burnt at the stake and her pyrokinetic powers get out of control and it messes with the gayfication ray and it ends up hitting only certain parts of town. The core 4 get hit but archie is like umm I don't think it hit me bc I don't feel different, what am i supposed to be feeling? What do you feel jug?? And jughead is freaking out bc his entire life is flashing through his eyes and narrator jughead is saying that he has always been looking for a home but it wasn't until now that he realizes that home for him has always been archie.

but he panics and says umm yeah i think that kevin is kinda cute def feeling the gay vibes from the ray haha. But betty and veronica are just calm like ohh this is for the better it's not so bad being gay. But archie is like no guys we need to get you to a doctor so betty calls the fbi death ray division and the doctor runs some test and is like yep you are confirmed gay and jughead leaves like ohh i need to go see if tabitha is okay. but archie keeps insisting that he is not feeling the gay so he must not be affected, and beronica looks at him like oh honey and veronica is like archiekins- but betty cuts her off and tells her that that is something that he has to figure out on his own. Meanwhile cheryl and britta and nana rose are trapped in the mansion but protected from the outside mob of straights bc cheryl has magic fire all around the house and inside cheryl is like we need to fix the machine and try again. and gay kevin has created a 101 gay course because on his own words that is something that would have helped him a lot when he was brand new gay, and it starts with a how to gay but people end up discussing if there is a wrong way to be gay and they all come to the conclusion that it's okay to be gay because love is love yass, and kevin realizes that he can stop oppressing himself and that joining a cult is not therapy. Beronica are just chilling, vibbing even, minding their own business, but milf alice smith is not having it and she is being so homophobic that they decide to do some girlbossing and get the ray working to shut her up. And jughead is like going through his full gay panic realizing that he is in love with archie but doesn't know what to do, so he attends kevin's how to gay "to report it for the paper", but ends up coming to terms with his new found gayhead identity so he goes to find archie while jughead narrator says that he going to face his demons. meanwhile cheryl and britta are in the mansion fixing the gayfication ray when nana rose comes out of the shadows and tells cheryl child perhaps straight people exist for a reason and it's not up to you to change that, and cheryl is like but nana they are so mean and nana rose is like well without straight people gay people wouldn't exist and cheryl is like oh nana you are so right i have been blinded by my hate for my cruel straight mother, but this not what jason would have wanted me to do, besides even my cruel straight mother did something right: she made me! and britta is like mistress cheryl you are so right it was wrong of me to try to make everyone gay because i thought that would make them happier and cheryl is like oh brittania you still have so much to learn but it's okay because i'm here to teach you how to be a better person. And jughead goes to archie's house and waits outside (jughead narrator says that it's time to face his hardest battle) until archie return from walking bingo (he is gay too), and then jughead tells him archs i lied to you before, but also my entire life i've been lying to everyone including myself because I was gay even before the gayfication ray hit me, and archie is like wow jug, that's so brave of you, thank you for sharing with me and i have something to tell you to because i've been thinking and i've realized that the reason i have been trying so hard to always save this town was maybe bc i was scared of the world out there and not finding my own place and knowing that the place of my childhood where i felt happy with my dad, and betty and you still exists made me feel safe, but i think it's time that i stop fighting, i'm done with the assassination attempts and the bad things happening in riverdale, i'm ready to move one. and jughead is clutching his heart on his hand, so sad to say goodbye to archie but so ready to be repressed about it, but then archie stands up and looks at him and says so remember about that dream i had when i was still into music? about the two of us moving together to new york?? i think that it could be a good thing, for both of us, will you come with me? and jug is like yes yes yes a million times yes archie, have you ever been to new york? you are going to love it, even the sewers are fascinating. meanwhile beronica has found a way to enter the mansion through some tunnels Hiram built to steal palladium and they burst into the room like jot that gayfication ray down cheryl, but cheryl and britta are just there like oh cousin we are not evil anymore, we have realized that straight people deserve to exist and brittania and i were just trying to fix the ray to reverse it all. so betty uses her car and fbi skills to fix it and britta is like oh well we just need it to put it in reverse gayfication mode and veronica is like oh is that easy? but before they turn it on veronica is like wait betty this past few hours have made so much sense to me is like things finally fell into place and after years of boydrama and daddy issues i realized that the only one worth going back to over and over again is you. and betty is like well i had my suspicions that i wasn't all about just boys, but because i had already one gay cousin in the family i never thought about it beyond the surface but you are so right everything feels so easy with you and i think i prefer me this way. beronica kisses and cheryl is like oh cousin faux lesbian kissing was not your best look but this one right here looks so good on you i'm so happy for you two. and britta is like well if you don't want to be affected by the ray you just have to leave the riverdale town limit before i turn it on so beronica thelma and louise their way out of riverdale. but they end up running into archie and jughead on the highway just outside of the town sign and they are like heeeey what are you guys doing here and archie is like oh jughead and i are going to new york and veronica is like that's a great idea, we could all go live in my old apartment (rip chad) just like old times, and archie is like yeah that would be great but only if you (veronica) don't kiss jughead like last time haha. and beronica laughs knowingly and jughead laughs panicked, but they are all interrupted by the blast of the gayfication ray going off in town before the town goes back to regular straight riverdale. and the four of them stand there in the highway saying goodbye to their old life before heading for their new one.

*kicks down the door* I am here with yet another analysis on Troy and Abed (I know there's already multiple posts out there with the same topic but still it's been on my mind for weeks). This time, it's more analyzing the impact of Troy and Abed's friendship on their character arcs and just how powerful it is I dunno I just think they're neat /lh

The first episode I'll be talking about is S01E10 - Enviormental Sciences. To me, this episode is the first steps towards Troy opening up and breaking free from the past confinements of his jock persona from high school, as well as an important moment for their friendship. It establish a sense of respect and equality, they need to mutually support eachother. It's not a huge moment, but an important one nonetheless

The next episode I wanna talk about is S02E06 - Epidemiology, particular the "I love you" "I know" quote. This quote is literally so powerful. First off, telling someone you love them can be scary, even if just platonically!! I feel that it would especially be scary for Troy just because of his struggles with his masculinity and all that, and I just think that it's so good that he just says I love you like!! He cares muchly!!!!! And Abed saying I know is also so powerful cause that means that Troy didnt have to say it for Abed to know he cared about him, he knows he loves him and hes secure in that!! And it's just so powerful especially since hes had issues with genuine friendships and connections throughout his life!!! Just this scene just *starts punching things* /very pos

The next episode I wanna talk about is S02E15 - Early 21st Century Romanticism. I'm addressing the scene when Troy leaves Maria to go to Abed cause she called Abed weird. Likel literally??? That is so sweet Troy would rather spend time with Abed and they'd both rather persevere their friendship than risk anything on a girl. Like they care eachother so much I am going to loose my marbles /vv pos

Next up is S03E21 - First Chang Dynasty. So hes saying his goodbyes and then he gets to Abed. He hugs him and whispers something to him, then leaving. Britta asks "what did he say?" and Abed says "he said 'I know you hate it when people in movies do this'". And just this is literally so emotional cause it shows how much they understand eachother. Troy knows that a normal goodbye would hard for Abed (and him too) and so he chooses an alternative and just APAPDOSDODOFISOAOAO Like theres so much care and love and understanding in that one interaction its killing me /pos

The next episode I'm gonna address is S04E03 - Conventions of Space and Time. I wanna talk about the telephone booth scene. Now it's been established in previous episodes that Abed got locked in a lot of lockers and other similar things when he was kid/teen so this is undoubtedly a traumatizing experience. He freaks out for a little bit but then he calms down saying "Troy will find me". Lo and behold, a little later, Troy does come and find him. This scene is just so heartwarming to me cause Abed knows that even in a really scary situation like this, he knows that Troy will find him, he knows that Troy cares and that he'll always come looking for him. He doesnt have to be scared cause he has someone he can depend on no matter what and I just love that and I think it's so good and amazing and it's one of the only valid parts of season 4/lh /pos

The last episode I wanna address is S05E05 - Geothermal Escapism. This time I'm gonna be addressing the scene in the basement, you know the really sad one. Troy says that the game will have to end sometime and that's when Abed admits that "the lava is real and it's because you're leaving". Troy then realizes oh shit this actually serious, and he doesnt treat Abed like hes being stupid or childish or seeking-attnetion, he treats it like the serious issue it is and you know what else? Hed be willing to stay!! Hed give up over $14.3 million and the experience of a life time if that's what Abed needed! But you also know what else? Abed says "I dont think the lava is here because you're leaving. I think its here because I wont let go" and proceeds to fake sacrifice himself to let Troy or Britta win. Riverdale S5E9 Destroyer - 5 Things I Loved/ 3 Points to Consider

I loved -

1. Betty going ultra-rogue and raging out had me in ecstasy - not quite unadulterated, but no matter.  I generally hate the ‘rogue-cop-had-to-do-it-cuz-system-failed’ type nonsense because, you know, it’s propaganda of the most insidious kind.  BUT.   The sheer terror that Betty Cooper, formerly the pink-sweatered doe-eyed teen dream girl,  invokes in these men is so cathartic.  Betty’s childhood acts of violence were always in defense of someone else - and now she’s just taken it a step further, of trying to do prophylactic justice rather than preventing immediate harm.   Betty slamming that dude sneering that “these girls are ‘looking to trick’” right into his steering wheel WAS AMAZING.  We’ve gone from bash-on-back-of-head to slam-head-down-break-nose as the go-to move. Her measured “Jug. Head?” when he calls at a key moment was hilarious, as was her cold hard, “Or I might not” about coming back for that guy she tied to the tree. 

Sidebar:   I feel like I don’t know Betty’s true size because she was most frequently seen with Jughead, whose height and heft fluctuated a lot due to plot demands, but I actually believe she’d be frightening.  The set of her shoulders as she charges around looking for people to beat up is an astonishing change from how I think of her, the fairytale princess in the fluffy sparkly dress. 

2.  Cheryl Blossom performing Stupid Love in that amazing custom-tailored red jumpsuit  with the glittering red strips down the sides - Oh My GOSH!!!   I basically did everything she told me to do in the song - Freak Out/ Freak Out/ Freak Out/ Look At Me.  And the mandatory Cheryl hair whoosh!  Who says you need to show skin or wear heels to be blazing hot?  Her commitment to performance is such that she dances up the stairs at the start of the song. If there had been a coach like this at any of the schools I went to, my physically incompetent ass would’ve thrown the mother of all tantrums to be given dance lessons, instead of um, being a bookworm in the library. 

3.  This is a two-for-one but Fangs and Jughead are currently being the world’s best ex-boyfriends and I want to give them each a big forehead kiss (and a bum squeeze, no not like that, just a little one, friendly-like).  Fangs is so mature and so in love with Kevin, and he is much more calm than I could be given what Kevin has done to him. I want to know everything about you, the good and the bad, he says, looking so handsome and hurt.  Bad Kevin! I believed in you!  And of course the soft way that Jughead talks to Betty when she’s in distress, using his Let me help you sotto voce that he only ever uses with true intimates, always goes straight to my heart.   There’s literally nobody that offers Betty any sort of comfort anywhere but for Jughead. 

But. I did not feel any sexual tension or residual longing, not from this episode.  It was more sibling energy. The tendon of RAGE that stands out on Betty’s neck as the old codger starts going on about Alien Fusion Reactors, while Jughead  cringes like a younger brother who’s gonna GET IT when they get home or she tells mom, was very cute

4. I actually loved the We Scored a Single Point So Team Is Not Cancelled football match.  I normally never get anything out of these games but this one worked for me. I loved Archie’s speech to his players. Specifically, his tone of voice.  He’s so hot when he’s being someone’s big brother - this is the same tone of voice as him telling Joaquin, You have to hit me! Hit me, at the boxing match. There’s something about this delivery  that just um, makes me tingle.  And then him leaping with BOTH FEET off the ground when Britta scores that one touch down (is this right? i have no idea).  Oh Archie can move. And speaking of Britta - the way her long braid whips around when she avoids getting tackled was fantastic!  All the adults celebrating so hard because one thing went right!  I wish we had more of that energy in actual children’s sports lol.

5. Reggie finally getting to show something of who he is as an adult.  (What I remember most about him from previous seasons is I gotta matter Ronnie! and his single tear of heartbreak as he tells Archie how it is at home for him).  Unsurprisingly, he’s much better at being an aggro asshole than Archie.  He smiles and smiles while delivering terrible news (Your team is about to be cancelled!) and jaunty while dealing low blows to kids (Loser, Loser, Loser).  And yet, he is not a heartless criminal of the stripe that Hiram is - I’m not gonna break some kid’s legs for no reason - and knows how to walk away from a Lodge when they ask too much of him.  I can’t wait to see where they go next with him.  He just gets handsomer every time I see him.

Things to Consider

a)  Archie propositions Veronica - to give him motivation heh - while IN THE locker room which was previously full of his teenage students. OK so as Betty Cooper says Three is a Pattern and I’m calling it. The Riverdale High School building is Archie’s orientation. 

b)  Alice Cooper is mixing Zolpiderm (sleeping pills) with wine and that is very upsetting.  She is at least not chugging the wine straight from the bottle which I hate in movies and tv.

c) Tabitha, Cheryl and Veronica starting to cooperate as the business-owner,  maple syrup and pizzazz supplier, and big-scheme launcher is so exciting, and I kind of wish there was a spinoff with just these three women doing things, really. Like, it wouldn’t even be fanfic, because I don’t ship them, but just, these beautiful smart young women doing business together and THAT being the story would be so comforting and inspirational to me.
