This has been an absolutely horrible couple weeks for the Jewish and Israeli community, so I want to throw in at least a tiny bit of hope in here. Amina Hassouna, the Bedouin girl who was severely hurt in Iran’s missile attacks, has been recovering well and seems to be in good condition! She is described as being ‘fully conscious’ and ‘communicating and smiling’. Two bomb shelters have been placed in Al-Fura, the town that she and her family are from, as well.

A doorway not quite shut

Some incident or another knocked Danny into another universe, specifically into the city of Gotham. Luckily, he managed to make a portal to the Ghost Zone to get back home without anyone really giving too much notice to him.

However, though his portal mostly worked perfectly, one key aspect of it failed.

It didn’t fully close.

Ectoplasm, previously sparse in this universe, starts to leak through.

Effects aren’t immediately apparent. But gradually, it starts to sink into everything. Changing it, empowering it.

The city’s ghosts become stronger, more tangible. Its living citizens, too, are more durable. Tech experiences inexplicable glitches. Food, left for too long, starts to come alive.

It eventually becomes impossible to ignore.

The fic I want to write someday is about who Laios gets to marry. Because regardless of his feelings on the matter, he is a king in a medieval/pre-modern world and he needs to have an heir. And even if he isn't that interested or wants alternatives, you can bet the rest of the world will be very interested in a bachelor king of a rich strategically positioned kingdom. And he's kind and handsome too. He would get offers.

And the funniest part of all this is that all marriage offers would, of course, get managed by his most trusted advisors Kabru, Marcille, Fallin, et al.

Imagine being a suitor to a rich and legendary king, traveling to a mysterious cursed island, only to find out he's the strangest man on Earth and also you have to deal with his unhinged advisors who have very personal opinions on who gets to marry him. Do you see the potential for wackiness here.

There’s a loud snarling noise outside the window. 

Not that Jazz is concerned. She’s just also trying to study for med school and would appreciate some quiet. And preferred her brother not contracting rabies whenever he tried to square off with the local rogue or three who tried to use the alley. 

As he had put it, it was his alley, he’d claimed it for tinkering. Though perhaps she should maybe ask him to quiet down on his insisted territorialism, even if she understood it. She would also probably maul someone if they tried to enter their apartment flat. It came with the territory of being ecto contaminated, or as the rest of them were now calling it, with being a liminal. 

Once the more draconic aspects started to emerge well, one wasn’t just contaminated anymore after all. Hence the whole school-worth of them leaving Amity while all their parents waged war against the guys in white. Last she heard it was going well. 

Which meant she could focus on her studies as soon as- okay it wouldn’t be quiet, it seems the rest of the kids joined in on mauling the poor idiot who tried to steal their things from the alley. Damn…
