Maggie - 11/12-years-olds, Bradey's younger cousin who they adopted. She plays soccer, has a dog named Perdita, and loves space! Her favorite weekend activities include: Going to Disney or playing on the beach!

Walker - 3/4-years-old and a hybrid human/android of the ai Kronos and the clone Cleon xiii. They live on a planet far from Empire's purview and a good distance from the locals. Walker loves exploring the nearby forests and quarries of their home and listening to her mother tell the stories of the long-lost homeworld of humanity, Earth.

Rowan - 14-years old, Rowan is Adeline's youngest sister who She and Hector have taken custody of. She likes video games, spending time with her friends after school, playing with her dog, and hanging out with her sister and Hector. She looks forward to joining the drama club in high school, and trying out for the Cheersquad in her sophomore year.

Evelyn - 5-years-old. After losing her family in the tragic sinking of the Titanic, she was taken in by the man who saved her, Caledon Hockley. She now lives in a lavish with her father and nanny-turned-mother, Miranda. She likes horse riding, playing with her mother, going for car rides, and eating chocolates cake.

Vivian - 4-years-old. So much like her parents, Eddie and Mika, Vivy loves using her imagination and playing knights on the playground with her best friend Ethan. When the two aren't there or at pre-school, they're at ballet class together. She loves playing with Eddie's old dnd minis and watching Mika's old theater club recordings, her favorite is Beauty and the Beast because both her parents play the lead. And she's very excited for her little brother to be born.

Amelia - 10/11-years-old. Shenandoah her brother Michael were infected with the Zombie virus during the vaccination scandal and abandoned by their parents. They were taken in by Cori and Blaine when Cor found them outside the Scratching Post, going through the dumpster for brains. Amy doesn't talk much, and once she gets comfortable with someone she gets clingy, so she can usually be found being carried around by Blaine or coloring near her brother. She likes playgrounds, especially swings.

im not sure if its meant to be read as such but it kinda feels like a squeal to bedtime rituals in a way (edit: not meant to be read as such, just the same vibe)

Of Saints and Sinners by the forever amazing @morningstarwrites!! (if you see this i have a serious question: is this your first time ever writing a fic? because how do you get so much right the first time- [not even beginners luck could explain this level of skill])

i could sing its praises until my death bed but ill hold off so i can explain whats happening. basically after burning down a meeting room several times, luci and al make a deal ("not a deal!", luci laments to the void): they will attempt to be civil and maybe even friendly, and by the end luci will owe al a favour. whats the favour? read it yourself dammit! seriously, 10/10, i am foaming at the mouth till friday (depending on how this goes, that might be tomorrow or today)

Quietly, It Slips Through Your Fingers, Love by Starlit_Rainfall (no tumblr in sight, so AO3) (i. urgfgh. what happened. i was just smiling over the fluff while crossing to go to school. where did it go. where did it gooooo)

if thats anything to go by, the last few chapters have been rough. the fluff feels so far away that i cant even explain what happens. luci was waxing poetic about swimming in maple syrup for al, i remember that much. also emily is there (fallen) tho we havent seen her in a sec. if you read it, warning for the gut punch of angst that starts chap 32 "She/Her" (though the chapter before that, "Should Alastor Know By Now?" ends pretty rough too)

i dont remember how i managed to stumble upon this but im having a great time. basically alastor is a new sinner fresh in hell (but time doesnt matter and the whole cast is still here) and thinks "what better way to gain power than be the personal assistant of the heartbroken king of hell!" features a 6(?) year old charlie and a morally dubious lilith (also i loved eepy al X3)

this ones a bit newer (10 chaps), is so far mostly exposition and the slowburn pot hasnt even been put on the stove, but as just a hazbin fic in general i see the potential. basically its a 1920s au where heaven decides little charlie doesnt deserve to be raised in hell and is sent to earth with a "foster" family where her actions in life will determine witch realm she will return to after death. her "parents", al and minzy, are given false memories so they can claim the girl as their own and gee i wasnt kidding when i said it was a lot of exposition. erm honestly explaining anymore would tech be spoiling so go read it!

basically its a king x kings guard au where al and luci grow up together and only grow closer after a. certain life event for al (its fine guys trust :)) [she said, like a liar]) then al is sent of for royal guard training school (ik its not called that i forgor 😭) but dw he comes back. just watch out for graphic depictions of injuries (i think thats this fic) angst and a sneaky eve bc radioapple fics are allergic to happiness (or maybe im not looking hard enough lol) (also im really tempted to make the friendship bracelets they had 👀)

this one starts off as human!alastor/lucifer but by the middle(?) its just regular radioapple. basically al is encountered by luci while finishing off a job who agrees to keep quiet. luci just keeps on showing up, reveals hes the devil to which al us just like "lol ok" and eventually they get in a relationship (ooh lala 👀) but they break up after saying some hurtful things to each other (oh nono 👀) with luci promising al they will never cross paths again. if you watched the show then well. you know that doesnt happen 😂 most human!al radioapple have al summon him (no hate to them) so this was an interesting change of pace

cannot stress it enough but this is a WORKING list i WILL be coming back to it bc these are purely the fics i could think if off the top of my head. IN FACT, if any of you have radioapple fics you love, SEND THEM THE FUCK IN! i am one person whos only been in this fandom for 4 months, and reading fics/shipping radioapple even less, theres bound to be some ones i missed that you think are Worthy™️! and if theyre nsfw then at the very least it shouldnt be the main focus

I wish Forge had a costume that wasn't a uniform. I'd love for them to adapt his HG look

Obviously an exact translation wouldn't work, but a black and white suit (or a white one with black accessories such as his boots) and a splash or orange/red here and there would be cool. I loved that the gala didn't just re-adjust his costume to formalweear like the year before.

And side note: I love that they kept his pink skintone here. I personally believe a character's "true" skintone is the one they debuted with--even though it can be pointed out that colors were limited back then and I've heard that sometimes a pink skintone would be used for dark-skinned characters.

We opened the exchange with Carry On, the first and only 24XX game of the night. It was a great way to open the evening: a simple system for hunting monsters and taking names!

The game with the most beautiful layout- I made sure to take home one of the physical copies provided! Play the magical pets of some admittedly fairly useless wizards, as you solve mysteries at a magic school and save your masters from themselves.

A lightweight Forged in the Dark game inspired by soulslikes (particularly Bloodbourne, although comparisons were made to Elden Ring by one of my pals.) The GM hasn't revealed what game we'll be playing on Halloween, but I think it'll be this and I'm excited for it.

Blood & Wine by Yuigaron

Great for those who are intrigued by Vampire the Masquerade but look for a less complex game. Take bloody revenge for the deaths of your kin. Before the night is done, your enemies will lie dead.

Blades & Darkness by Sam Robson

This is one of my games, although my friend had not realised. When she found out she tried to get me to present the game instead, but I insisted she do it. Always more interesting to hear how others experience/interpret your work!

Anyway: Blades and Darkness is a BitD themed Lasers and Feelings hack, where Blades is physical action and Darkness is magical action.

Forge at the Hellfire Club: a hypothesis

Guys guys guys (X-Force readers), I just had a brain wave. Big spoilers, be warned.

You know how we've been trying to decode who Sage is talking about in this bit of narration?

"One picosecond after she dies, I'm thinking. Of course I am - I'm always thinking. I remember the first time we met. I wasn't "Sage" then, I was still undercover at the Hellfire Club, working for Charles."

Many of us read this bit as one block. As the same train of thought. Meaning: Sage remembered meeting the person who dies at the Hellfire Club.

It followed that this person, the person who dies, would be Betsy, because Sage had canonically met her at the Hellfire Club. But no, it's not Betsy who died. And it doesn't make much sense for the person who actually died (Surge) to be at the Hellfire Club while Sage was there either. Nori would have been too young. (I know time in Marvel is flexible, but come on, that was long ago.)

What I've suspected for a while is that the now infamous opening phrase "One picosecond after she dies, I'm thinking. Of course I am - I'm always thinking" was a separate train of thought from the rest. It definitely is when it appears again in the next issues, so it makes sense that it should be from the start. It's a mantra - or a haunting, as it were - to be read on its own.

So the phrase we've been debating "I remember the first time we met, I wasn't Sage then, I was still undercover at the Hellfire Club..." isn't connected the bit above it (the person who dies); it's the beginning of a new train of thought.

It's the beginning of her reflection about Forge. She's saying she first met Forge when she was at the Hellfire Club.

We don't know when Sage and Forge first met, so I thought, why not, they could have known each other for a lot longer than we thought. They could have crossed paths when the X-Men clashed with the Hellfire Club back in the day.

But today I decided to look at the narration on its own, without the art or the dialogue, and a very different picture emerged:

"I remember the first time we met. I wasn't "Sage" then, I was still undercover at the Hellfire Club, working for Charles. Usually, I can instantly size up any new player. I create predictive models of everyone I meet. How they think, their motivations, how they move. Not him. Forge was...a jumble. Too many variables and some were in conflict, some oppositional. There were just too many holes in his data flow. At one point, I just asked him. 'How do you work?' He said, 'End of the day, there's nothing wrong in the world that I can't fix by putting my hands on it.' I thought he was a bit full of himself. Even with people like Shaw and Frost strutting around. Now? I know he's not. But what is he? I'm still collating."

We've been deceived by the comic book format, which splits Sage's narration onto several pages and makes you lose her train of thought.

She's saying she met Forge at the Hellfire Club. They were both there.

Fucking hell, the bit about Shaw and Frost? Right there in front of our faces! I thought she was talking about Krakoa times, but nooooo, look!

Forge. Working at the Hellfire Club. Back in the day when Sage was there.

WHEN? WHY? HOW?

More importantly, did they make him wear the ridiculous Victorian outfits? Or did he hold on to his denim shorts?

if you look underneath the little island that is radioapple, on god otoshigo is one of the creators holding it up. all 19 (yes, 19. we eatin good tonight [excluding forbidden fruit]) of their radioapple fics are fantastic, buuut if i had to recommend anything specific: A Guide to the Care and Maintenance of the King of Hell (fuck count furfur!) and The Devil's Trip to the Big Apple
