bone post!!

these are from some very old roadkill, i think possibly a juvenile fox. i moved the rest of the remains out of the road into a flower patch.

from left to right - rib (broken), foot bone (?), wrist/ankle bone, vertebra, foot bone (?), teeth and jaw fragments

and some close ups

i've never found this many teeth before, and they're in such good shape considering the circumstances. this is also the second set of (presumed) fox jaw fragments in my collection!

Watching the psychodyssey documentary really makes you appreciate all the work that went into the game.. it's so beautiful and there's so many details and things that went into it..

#duck speaks #psychonauts #it also makes me wanna play the games again #but I just finished psychonauts 2 like. a week or so ago #at least I can still go back in and get the things I missed there :]#I just go all the scavenger hunt items and also did Gisu's quest thing #and yesterday I went back in Loboto's mind and got all the collectibles :]#I never went back into a mind I'd already beat before in the first game so I don't know if it's that way there too but #I was a little disappointed that you can't actually replay the level and instead just go through the space without the cut scenes and stuff #but I probably would've been there forever if not lol #and Oatmeal's there ! my friend Oatmeal :]#anyways um.#it's such a beautiful game and they put so much work into it and it really paid off #I love psychonauts !

What inspired you to make RUTH?

I had just finished BN1 and was entirely SHOOK by the plot twist. I love love love horror, transhumanism, and dark themes that explore the self so much. I asked about future games and was told they don't really explore it much beyond that.

So of course, the answer to that is -fanfiction- but at first glance I didn't find anything that quite had the flavor I was looking for, so I rolled up my sleeves and made what I wanted to read.

Since I was writing it myself, I knew I wanted something angsty. So from there, I started picking out pieces I needed from the canon I knew and winging the rest. I knew the games themes were about connection, so I wanted to play around with that too and make it a more focused conflict of the story.

All in all, I wanted to take this silly game I enjoyed, take a plot twist I loved, and push it.

Look what I found in a local hardware store! 🥰✨ The Thai Beauty looks a little beat up, but for 1,99€ each you can't go wrong. I've been thinking about adding a Fusion White to my collection again, since humidity is pretty high in this apartment and almost no issues with pests for the last 1,5 years, but didn't even think it was possible to find such a tiny one, and I don't have the space for a big one (let alone 2).
