Luffy is oh so dumb and stupid and I would trust him with my life. Nothing gets in the way of the Rubber Boy and the hyperfixation he has had since childhood. Not cops (he punches them), not the government (he declared war on them cuz they suck booo), not the most beautiful woman in the world (sorry Boa), not dead siblings (<3), and not even basically dying several times himself. Truly an gluttonous, acab, aroace, neurodivergent icon. I 100% understand why everyone this dumbass comes in contact with is like, "Okay yeah sure. I'll follow you to the ends of the Earth, I guess."

This is sorta spoilers but her presence is a spoiler) Isabel Lovelace is the former captain of the USS Hephaestus from a previous mission, kept secret from our main crew of Commander Minkowski, Comms officer Doug Eiffel, but not Dr Hilbert who was on the previous mission under another name. She is badass, but not as strict as Minkowski, maintaining a somewhat chummy relationship with Doug. Unfortunately she has also had enough of Goddard Futuristics' bullshit and makes Minkowski, Hilbert, and Eiffel work to return the crew to earth under threat of a dead-man's-switch operated bomb going off. She has seen her previous crew murdered by Goddard and will not rest until every executive has their head on a pike. (OK SUPER SPOILERS NOW) she is also very dead. the version of her that appears in the show is revealed to be a doppleganger planted by aliens (known as the dear listeners by doug).

Tai might not be the strongest monk, but he has a heart of gold underneath the flamboyant clothing, feathers, and the smell of booze. An entertainer by trade, Tai has spent his life hopping from one travelling troupe to another, using his mimicry skills to perform epic tales, and serenading beautiful ladies with his trusty pipa. He also claims to be a close confidant and friend to Lady Xīn Yán - but who can say if that's true, with all the tall tales he tells. Whilst Kenku are not always welcome guests, Tai works hard to bring a bit of fun and levity to the small village taverns he visits. A monk specialising in the Way of the Drunken Master, Tai is always ready to defend someone in need, using his small frame and tipsy sway to confuse and neutralise his combatants. He is never cruel though, and his fights often prompt delighted applause and laughter from nearby patrons, rather than fear. Tai's current troupe are travelling to a small village on the edge of a supposedly haunted forest, and he is excited to gather inspiration for his stories...

Isabel does have her ears pierced, but she's not big on jewelry at all. When she was seventeen, she lost one of her earrings while foraging. After that, she saw no point in wearing jewelry anymore. Plus she has this phobia that someone could try and rip her earrings off and tear her lobe. End of the world and all... And nope, she's not interested in getting more piercings either.

Nope, she does not have any. She was eleven when the bombs dropped, so getting a tattoo at that age was completely out of the question. Not that she didn't wish to get one, though. She would have loved to get one of those teeny tiny floral tattoos, the kind that you could easily mistake for a mole or a birthmark.

◽️ she can do splits, so... when she says she's flexible she's not talking about her schedule

◽️ she loves music, can't live without it, would splash highwaymen while spitting verses and busting dance moves even if she gets weird looks from her companions

◽️ she's romanian, so she might also understand italian, spanish and french if she squints hard enough

The Phoenix. Something about rising from the ashes stuck to her as a kid. And suddenly, that became her reality.

Her face gets flushed easily. Either due to physical effort, the scorching heat outside or Roger's flirting. The blush pairs nicely with her freckles.

Also, her posture is shit. Sometimes she sits like a banana. She doubts she'll live long enough to feel the effects though.
