Flash Imagine
Disclaimer: I don’t own the flash.
“He’s...that can’t be..” You stood before Barry, Caitlin and Cisco.
All of them looked on with solemn eyes. You could see the pain reflected in Barry’s eyes. The man who mentored him, was the same person responsible behind the death of his mother. You felt sick to your stomach. The man you kissed, the man you loved, was a narcissistic sociopath. If all three of them believed it then it had to be true.
“Joe found the body of Harrison Wells, the real one. “
You took a step back and Barry raced to your side when you almost fell over. He held you against his body, staring down at you in regret. You were crying now, clutching your head.
“H-How did I not see it! All those days I spent with him. I was so stupid!!”
“I’m sorry (Y/N).” He was the one that lost his parents because of that monster and he was apologizing to you. You hugged him close, clutching unto his body. “We’ll get through this (Y/N), believe that. “
~~
After the shocking discovery, Barry offered to drop you home. You were in no shape to be on your own. You knew it was selfish, but you didn’t feel safe. Barry understood, he promised to stay with you until you fell asleep. When you entered your apartment you tossed the keys on the table. Your eyes were still burning from all the tears you shed that day. Barry walked in behind you.
“Is there anything you need, a burger maybe?” you shook your head at his question.
“I’m fine, don’t really have much of any appetite. “ Barry was worried. Harrison was his teacher, someone he trusted, but to you he was so much more.
Finding out your lover was a murderer wasn’t exactly the easiest thing to wrap your head around. This would be embedded in you forever. The worst thing was not being able to trust your own heart. You were just standing there gazing at the wall.
(Y/N) listen you have to-” you gasped when you saw a spark of yellow flash across your view. You panicked when Barry was no longer standing in with you. You spun around in fear. He was nowhere in sight.
“B-Barry!!” your eyes were darting around the room. When the light reappeared you almost stopped breathing.
“Miss me?” the yellow suited speedster asked. He pulled his cowl off and you trembled when you saw his face. At the back of your mind you hoped they were wrong, but with him standing before you now, wearing the face of Harrison Wells, you knew it was true.
“W-What did you do to Barry!!” you demanded. He stepped closer and you rushed for your phone. You tried dialing Cisco or Caitlin. You didn’t even have a chance to touch a button. The phone was out of your grasp and Eobard was directly in front of you. Your entire body froze when he threw it over his shoulder.
“Barry is otherwise occupied. I just wanted to have a little free time with you (Y/N).” you didn’t move, or breathe for a good few seconds. Terrified that the simplest movement would trigger him. “No need to be so stiff, I’d never hurt you. “ Those eyes, the ones you stared into for so many months. You weren’t sure if he was toying with you. You couldn’t trust yourself anymore.
“I love you (Y/N).” your breath hitched. You padded backwards about to run off. You didn’t want to hear this, you couldn’t. He was lying. In a matter of seconds you were braced up on the wall. He pinned your wrists above your head, locking you in place. He clicked his tongue.
“That’s rather rude to run off after my confession.” you seethed.
“You bastard you don’t care about anyone but yourself!! You’re just trying to trick me, do you think I’m really that stupid!!” he smirked. “Of course not.” The smugness in his tone just made you want to break down, but you forced yourself not to. You wouldn’t cry, not in front of him.
He leaned closer, pressing a kiss to your neck and you whimpered, trying to free yourself from his grip. “Don’t tell me you haven’t missed this, my hands on your body..” one of his hands loosened, going down your shoulder, to your stomach, passed your hip. You forced your legs closed when you caught unto what he was doing.
“My lips on your skin..” he whispered at the junction of your neck. You struggled more and it just made him laugh. “P-Please..” you were begging. There wasn’t more you could do. His eyes moved back to your own. This time there was no malice in them. You could have been wrong but you swore you could make out a hint of regret. “I am sorry that things turned out this way..” he leaned in slowly and you stiffened when he pressed his lips to your own in a soft kiss. You shut your eyes tightly, trying to banish the familiarity behind his taste. You couldn’t enjoy this, he was the enemy. You didn’t respond at first, still trying to keep up what little dignity you had left. It was starting to become too hard for you to resist. You leaned into it, body no longer fighting. When he felt you press into him he pulled back.
When your eyes connected he looked dark. His body started to vibrate and the demonic red returned to his eyes. “You were nothing more than a distraction.” your eyes widened and you took you awhile to register the pain that was now coursing through your abdomen. You looked down with shaky eyes, watching his vibrating hand that was plunged into your stomach, you looked back at him in disbelief. He pulled his hand out and you slumped against the wall, sliding down as his hands let you go altogether. You sat there letting out shallow breaths.
“You no longer have any use.” Those were the last words he said before he was gone. You sat against the wall, blood pouring out of the gaping wound in your stomach. The tears you fought so hard to keep at bay spilled. You stayed there leaned against the wall, waiting for death to take you. When another flash of light came into view you barely responded.
(Y/N)!!” It was Barry, his clothes were basically in shreds, but he was alive. He was okay. You smiled at him weakly. “Barry..” you mumbled out. He staggered over to you.
“No don’t do this don’t die!!” Barry was frantic. You just shook your head. You hand reached up, touching his cheek. “It’s fine..Barry..” you spoke hoarsely. Your vision was starting to get blurry.
“You’re not dying, I’m not going to watch another person die because of him.“
Barry hoisted you into his arms, taking off. You weren’t really sure what was happening anymore. Everything was numb, your body, your heart. One thing you knew is that Eobard won. Even if you’d manage to survive this, you wouldn’t trust anyone with your heart again.

Partners in Crime #1
"Can I help you?"
"Yes, please! Where would I be able to find Mr. Allen?"
"Upstairs, take a left."
"Oh, great! Thank you very much!"
(Y/N) hurried up the nearby staircase in search of the man just mentioned.
"Look Joe, I wasn't expecting Iris to find someone while I was in a coma for 9 months. And now, I can't do anything, or I'd be ruining her happiness. And I don't want to be that guy." Nearing the slightly opened door labeled, "Forensic Analyst: Barry Allen" she heard two distinct male voices coming from inside.
"All I'm saying is that if you don't tell her soon, you might just lose your chance forever." The other voice warned, sympathetically.
"I know, I know. I just don't think this is the right time, when they're planning to move in together." The first voice reasoned.
Taking a deep breath, (Y/N) knocked on the door three times, to alert them of her presence. "Hello? I hope I'm not interrupting anything." She spoke peeking her head into the doorway.
Inside, she saw two men; one sitting down in a chair, with his face buried in his hands, and the other leaning against the table. They both turned to stare at the new voice in the room.
"Can I help you miss?" The older of the two asked. The other just stared blankly at the her.
"Actually, yes! I'm looking for Mr. Allen? I was supposed to meet him today at 11, but if I'm too early, I can always come back later. I just didn't want to be late for my first day at my new job and I really wanted to make a good impression. And I really didn't mean to intrude on your conversation, I am really sorry if I did…" (Y/N) could not stop her rambling, her anxiety and nervousness taking control. "I can just wait outside in the hallway if y’all aren’t done with your-"
"Woah, calm down and take a deep breath," the older man recommended, in amusement. She heaved a big breath in and out, before focusing back on the current situation.
"Sorry about that," she apologized. "I didn't mean to freak out like that, I'm just really nervous and really excited to start my new position here." She was practically bouncing in her spot. Anxiety and excitement was not a good combination, she noted.
"Don't worry about it." With a chuckle, the older man step forward and held out a hand. "I'm Joe West. I work as a detective here at the CCPD; my office is downstairs."
"Very nice to meet you, sir! I'm (Y/F/N) (Y/L/N). I just moved here from Starling City." She replied, shaking his hand.
"Starling, really?" Joe asked, the surprise evident on his face.
"Yeah, it's not such a bad city if you get past the bad guys and all that," she shrugged, making it seem like no big deal. "I'm mean sure it's not really safe to walk around at night, and the crime rate is really high. And everyone walks around with pepper spray. Or a taser if you really want to splurge.” Both the men’s eyes widened. “Oh, but it's a lot better now because of the Arrow and the other crime-fighting vigilantes/heroes.” She assured them.
"Well, it was nice meeting you Ms. (Y/L/N)."
"Oh please sir, call me (Y/N), or anything else. Ms. (Y/L/N) makes me sound so old."
"Then, in that case, call me Joe and you got a deal." The two nodded in agreement and Joe continued, "If you need anything you can find me downstairs." Nodding to the younger man, Joe left the room closing the door behind him.
The remaining two stared at the door, lost in their own world and thoughts. The man chose to break the silence first.
"I'm Barry, by the way. Nice to meet you (Y/N)."
She shook his hand eagerly. "Oh, Mr. Allen! I'm (Y/N) (Y/L/N)! But you already knew that, of course. I'm so sorry to intrude into your room like this, I just was really excited to meet you. And, I normally don't ramble this much, or maybe I do, but I'll try to control it the best I can if it bothers you too much-"
"Breathe (Y/N). And don’t worry about it. I tend to ramble a lot too.” He smiled warmly. "And call me Barry. Mr. Allen makes me feel old too, and we seem like we're the same age."
"If you say so Mr. Al-,” Barry rose his brow. “I mean Barry," she corrected herself. "Well, it’s so nice to meet you! I know that you must be really busy, so let me know what you want me to do and I'll be out of your way!"
"Actually, it's been a slow day today since we don’t have any cases in investigation at the moment. How 'bout I give you a tour of the station instead?" he suggested, "I mean, if you haven’t seen all of it yet."
(Y/N)’s eyes lit up at the suggestion, "That would be great! By the way, do you know a good coffee shop near here? I haven't been able to go searching for one with all the moving and chaos."
Barry shot her a smile, while gathering his things. "You know, I was just about to head out, myself, for a cup. I know just the place,"
—
(Jitters)
"Could I get an Americano in the biggest size you have?" (Y/N) could see Barry's amused face from her peripheral, "What? I haven't had coffee in, literally, three days."
Barry raised his arms in surrender, "I didn't say anything."
"Yeah, but you thought it."
Barry laughed while she shifted through her purse for her wallet.
"I got this." He assured her, when he saw her take out her card.
"No, I'll buy it, you were the one to show me around."
"Nope. I already got it." He said, handing over his card to the worker.
She sighed in defeat. "Fine, you win this round. But expect an extra large cup of hazelnut mocha on your desk on Monday." (Y/N) forewarned him.
Both smiling, they moved to a nearby table waiting for their order. And before they knew it, their coffees were placed in front of them by a petite woman with a big smile on her face.
"Barry, who's this?"
"Iris! Umm, this is (Y/N), my new forensic analyst partner. (Y/N), this is Iris, my best friend and Joe’s daughter." Barry introduced the two. (Y/N) could see the Barry’s face light up at the woman in front of her.
"Nice to meet you (Y/N)! Are you new to the city? I haven't seen you around before, and I never forget a face."
"I just moved here from Starling a few days ago, actually. The boss has been showing me around the city before we came here." She threw Barry a smile.
"By the way, I'm sorry if I'm being nosy, but are you a model? You look really pretty, which makes me not want to stand next to you." She asked with a sincere look on her face.
"Me? Ha ha, I'm really flattered but sadly no, I'm not. I actually work at the Central City Times and am a part-timer here when free." Iris turned to Barry with a grin. "I like her!"
"Since your new to the city, do you want to hang out sometime, just us girls? I love Barry and all, but I am in dire need of a close girlfriend to talk with. I’ll show you around the best places.”
"Of course! You literally read my mind!" (Y/N) nodded enthusiastically. "I have a feeling this is the start of a wonderful friendship!"
During their conversation, she learned about Barry’s relationship with the West family and his recent wake from his 9-month coma. She had only heard of the effects of the particle accelerator explosion from the paper, since no one in Starling was directly affected. And Iris shared about her relationship with Eddie and more about her job at the paper. Eventually, she had to go back to work and gave (Y/N) a friendly hug before returning behind the counter.
"Let me guess. You like her and she doesn't know. And you can’t tell her because she’s already in love with this Eddie guy, and you don't want to ruin your friendship?" (Y/N)’s question snapped Barry out of his lingering stare at Iris working, and he looked at her, embarrassed.
"Is it that obvious?"
"Eh, kind of. I’m good at noticing things. And I kind of heard the last part of your conversation with Joe earlier when I was about to knock on your door."
He sighed. “I've tried telling her multiple times but she always finds a way to change the conversation into one about being like brother and sister and how I should be comfortable with telling her about girls and my nonexistent love life." She could see the sadness in his eyes as he let out another sigh.
(Y/N) leaned over and patted his back in sympathy. "Well, I say it's never too late until she says "I do", so I think you still have time. But man, you were sibling-zoned by her. That's even worse than the friend-zone."
"Well, I think you're wrong." He shook his head in disagreement. "It is too late. I've tried every way to tell her, dropping hints and what not, but she doesn't even have a clue. And even if she did, she hasn't said anything about it. She doesn’t think of me anymore than a brother."
"Well, I wish I could help you, friend. But unfortunately, I’m not Cupid." She looked at him with pity in her eyes.
Suddenly, Barry turned to her, his eyes widening by the second. Seeing his reaction she thought of the worst. "Is it too soon? Should I have said acquaintance instead of friend? Sorry if I got a little ahead of myself."
Barry interrupted her with enthusiasm, "No, that's not it. Of course we're friends. I was reacting to the part about you wanting to help me."
"It's just a figure of speech, I don't really think I should get into the middle of your love life situ-"
"Please?" Barry pleaded. "You're a girl."
"Yes, Barry, I think we've already established that I am a girl. I'm kinda hurt you thought otherwise. I mean, sure I'm not as pretty as Iris, but I don't think I’m that unattractive to be mistaken for a guy." She continued her stream of consciousness, rambling on. "I mean, Iris is a pretty high standard to meet, but not everyone is pretty like her, Barry. And I'm glad you figured out my gender now before later in the future, or we could've had a pretty awkward situation. I thought having longer hair would be an good indicator of my-"
"(Y/N), stop. You really do really ramble a lot." He grinned. "What I meant was, that you have a mind of a girl, and so you could help me confess to Iris, or at least help her to figure out my feelings for her." He explained, trying to prevent her from rambling again.
"Oh, ha ha ha. I knew that."
"…"
"Okay I didn't, but fine. I'll help you with your unrequited love life since we are friends and because I've been in your shoes. But whatever happens, I refuse to take the blame for it and you better not be mad at me if things don't turn out the way you want."
"Of course." Barry smiled with relief, succeeding in persuading her to help him.
"Well, it was nice talking to you, but I should go home and finish unpacking my stuff. I'll see you Monday, with an extra large cup of hazelnut mocha in hand," she said, getting up from her seat.
"Yeah, sure. See you around partner."
"Bye, partner-in-crime. Ha, get it? Because we help solve crimes. Which is the opposite of what it normally means.”
Barry just shook his head in amusement, as she walked away.
"(Y/N)." Barry called out as she reached for the door.
Turning back, she raised her brow at her new friend..
"By the way, you're pretty too. And whoever that guy was, was an idiot for not liking you back.”

A/N: I ramble a lot too. So I really connect with (Y/N) lol. Also, the timeline for this story isn’t going to follow the series exactly. Thanks for reading!

Hi Barry, I’m Y/N
A/N: Hey I’m back look at that okay bye. Also this is trash but whatever.
Request: No because no one will request anything but if you have a request please send it! I’m running out of things to write.
Pairing: Barry Allen/The flash x reader
Description: Batman’s daughter walks in the batcave while Barry’s running around, which may or may not lead to an accident or two.
Warnings: Swearing???
So I saw the movie a few days ago and there are a few parts I don’t remember so clearly, so if I get anything wrong I’ll fix it as soon as possible. Thanks! (Also this is trash but maybe you’ll like it idk???)
Barry was extremely excited to know that Batman wanted him to be apart of his team to defeat Steppenwolf, or whatever his name was. He could barely contain any of that excitement at all. He knew he should have been listening to what the others’ were saying, but exploring the batcave was way more important at the moment.
“Hey, kid,” Bruce said. “Watch where you’re going. If you break anything, I’m suing your ass.”
“Be nice, he’s just excited. You’re rich, anyways,” Diana said, walking up to Bruce.
“That’s very true.”
Everyone was sitting down (except for Barry, obviously) when you came in.
“Hey, dad,” you said, walking through the door. “I was wondering if-”
It happened so fast it was almost like you couldn’t have felt the impact. Someone ran into you, at an abnormally fast speed.
You tumbled backwards and almost slammed into the wall behind you before someone grabbed your arm and pulled you into them.
“I am so, so sorry. I didn’t see you walk in and I wasn’t paying attention and-”
You blinked and looked up into dark brown eyes. “No, it’s okay. That was my fault.”
“No, that was mine. Are you okay? Did I hurt you at all? Please don’t tell me anything is broken.”
“No, yeah. I’m fine.” You slowly blinked again, feeling a little dizzy.
“Hey, kid. Get your hand off my daughter,” Bruce said, walking over with everyone else.
“What? Oh, yeah. Sorry,” Barry mumbled, letting go of your arm.
Diana cleared her throat. You turned your head to look at her.
“Diana?”
“Hello, Y/N.”
You walked forward and opened you arms, enveloping her in a hug. “It’s so good to see you.”
“It’s lovely to see you as well.”
A wave of dizziness ran over you and you leaned into Diana. “Are you alright?” She asked, putting a hand on your forehead to make sure you weren’t sick.
You nodded, closing your eyes and leaning into Diana more.
Bruce looked at you and then at Barry. “Kid, I swear to God if you gave her a concussion or anything-”
“Bruce,” Diana acknowledged. “It was an accident. Y/N, dear, can you look at me?”
You opened your eyes and looked in Diana’s brown ones. She noticed one pupil was slightly larger than the other, and how you kept blinking very slowly.
“She definitely has a concussion. We need to get her to the hospital.”
“I-I’ll do it,” Barry mumbled, looking at you.
“What? Oh, no. You’re the one that gave her the-”
“Bruce!” Diana scolded. “Be quiet. Barry, that would be wonderful. The nearest hospital is a few blocks away, I think.”
“Diana, I’m not letting the kid-”
“If we wait any longer it could be worse than a concussion, Bruce. This is the fastest way.” Diana looped an arm under your legs and picked you up, walking over to Barry. You were basically passed out at this point. She put her arms out and Barry put one arm on your back and looped the other one under your legs, just like Diana did. “Call us when you get there.”
He nodded and ran off, almost running into the door on the way out.
“Well, that was interesting,” Arthur said, walking away from the group.
-----
Barry found the hospital in about three seconds.
He rushed you in (at a “normal” pace, of course), and had you at the front desk as soon as possible.
“Can I have her name, please?” The lady at the front desk asked.
“Uh, Y/N. I think.” She looked at Barry suspiciously before putting the name into the computer.
“Right. So, what happened?”
“Well, I think she has a concussion. I don’t really know what happened, but she was kind of passed out and then it seemed-” Barry lied and rambled on and on and on.
“Okay, slow down. You said she may have a concussion?”
“Yes.”
“Okay, that’s all. Please take her back there,” she pointed to a door. “Room 137. The doctors will take care of her from there.”
“Okay, thank you.” He rushed to the back room and gave you to one of the doctors. Right after, they pushed him out of the room. He pulled out his phone and called Diana.
“Hello?” She answered, not knowing the number.
“Hey Diana, it’s Barry. I’m in the hospital.”
“Oh, that’s good. Is Y/N okay?” She asked.
“I don’t really know yet. I think she’ll be okay, I’m not allowed in the room so I can’t tell.”
“Okay, well, make sure-” The connection started acting weird until Barry heard another voice.
“Kid, I swear if this ever happens again I’m going to-
“BRUCE!” Barry hung up the phone and sat down in a chair, looking up at the ceiling. He felt so bad for running into you, and he knew it was his fault. He didn’t even know you, he only knew you were Bruce’s daughter. He probably ruined all chances at talking to you, too. He thought you were really pretty, and he knew you were probably the only pretty girl he might ever get to talk to.
He was so lost in thought he didn’t hear the nurse open the door. “Mr. Allen, she’s awake if you’d like to see her.” He nodded and stood up, walking into the room.
You were sitting up on the hospital bed, holding an ice pack to your head. You had a TV remote in your hand and you were looking through all the channels. When Barry walked in, you looked over at him and smiled.
“Hi.”
“Hey,” he said, shifting on his feet awkwardly.
“You know, there’s no reason to be nervous. I don’t bite.” You turned your attention back to the TV, scrolling through the channels again. Barry watched the TV go through channels until it finally stopped at one. Supernatural. You threw the remote to the end of the bed and crossed your legs.
Barry slowly walked over to you and sat on the chair next to your bed. He looked at you while your eyes were focused on the TV. You really were pretty. He didn’t get to get a good look at you until now.
You looked over at him and smiled. “So, you’re the reason I’m here from what I’m guessing.”
“Yeah...sorry about that.”
You giggled and looked back at the TV. “It’s nothing really. I’m a Wayne, I can handle it. Plus, you got me out of school for a week or two.” You looked back a him and leaned back on the bed. “You know, we never go to properly introduce ourselves. I’m Y/N.” You swung your feet across the bed and stuck your hand out.
“Hi Barry, I’m Y/N,” he said. “Wait, no, that’s not right.”
You giggled and stood up. “Nice to meet you, Barry. Thank you, too, for bringing me here and everything.”
“I mean, it wasn’t really anything but, no problem.” He stood up next to you.
You leaned over and kissed his cheek, grabbing his hand. “Come on. We have to get home before my dad kills me. Or maybe you. I don’t really know at this point.”
Barry smiled to himself, picking you up and running out the door. Maybe he’ll have a chance with you after all.
-----
Yeah that was trash.

Complicated (Prt8) - Barry Allen x Reader
Complicated (Part 8) - Barry Allen x Reader A/N: Lmao rip. Feel free to message me if you have a question, if u would like to know more about the story, or if u just wanna talk lmao. oh also I can never find the perfect gifs 😵 Summary: After checking out the new crime scene, things start to get a bit hectic. Disclaimer: I’ve never actually watched Arrow, I apologize for that. If you notice any huge mistakes or gaps, please, message me and let me know. Constructive criticism is encouraged ! Warnings: suggestive themes, cursing, anxiety ig Word count: 2960 more or less hhhhh —
“Body was found by that bicyclist” Joe turned to the guy then back to the corpse, “Same M.O. as the first one. The victim was performing here last night. He’s a lounge singer named Julio Mendez” “Julio Mendez?” Barry inquired, “In Flashpoint he was Captain Mendez” “Flashpoint?” I cut in, “Like your parents, Flashpoint? Ramon Industries, Flashpoint?” I paused, “You and me, Flashpoint?” I raised an eyebrow at Barry. His expression changed as he seemed to remember the time he spent in the alternate timeline. It went from a sheepish look, to one of realization, to one of embarrassment. Barry turned a bright red, and I couldn’t help but wonder why. He swallowed hard before coughing. “Yeah,” he averted my eyes, “that Flashpoint” “So, in Flashpoint, this alternate timeline that you lived in, he worked at the CCPD?” Asked Julian, trying to get rid of the awkward situation I’d just created. “Yeah,” Barry answered him, he thought before speaking again, “Wait a second, the other the other vic, Stuart Holzman do we have a photo of him?” “Yeah” “Can I see it?” Barry asked eagerly. “Yeah, hold on” Julian said as he took out a his phone to show Barry a photo. “That’s him” Barry said, his face finally turning back to its normal shade. “What is it?” “He was a cop there, too” “Damn, cops gettin’ hate” I added. “So this is the second dead cop from Flashpoint?” “Yeah” “We got to figure out who this guy is” Joe obviously stated. “Well, if we hurry, there’s still a chance we can get some of the attacker’s residual DNA before this corpse disintegrates, but we’ve got to move quick” Julian said. “What are you waiting for, Allen?” I turned and teasingly raised an eyebrow at Barry. “All right,” he smiled back at me, “come on” he said to Julian. There was a whoosh and lightning trail. Before I knew it he was back and had dropped off Julian at S.T.A.R. Labs. “Did anybody see me?” Asked Barry. “Damn, I barely saw you” Said Joe. “I will never get used to that” I said. “Look, we got to get going” Joe told Barry, completely excluding me. “Where you guys heading?” I tried asking nonchalantly, but couldn’t help sound a bit jealous. Obviously, I was new here and wouldn’t be included in every hang out or get together they had, but that didn’t mean I had to be okay with it. I mean, Joe’s a great guy. Everyone here is. The thing is, they’re great together. They’re a family. They know each other. They’ve all been through so much. I’m the outsider here, and I’m making my way in one way or another. “We’re meeting up with Cecile and her daughter for lunch” Joe quickly told me and I frowned.
“Cecile?” I thought for a second, “Work Cecile?” “Uh, yeah–” Joe started, but Barry cut him off. “They’ve got this thing going,” Barry explained to me, “And we’re meeting her daughter for the first time” “Oh,” I realized, “Oh! Wow, okay–um–well, good luck I guess. You guys will be fine. Just gotta let your true selves shine for who you are. Um–I guess I’ll see you guys later then” I smiled politely at them. “Did you want to do something?” Barry quickly asked me, “Because I can skip th–” “No! No, that’s okay” I told him, “I was just going to go check out one of the apartments–” “Apartments?” Joe asked me. “Yeah, I’m finding a place to stay at. It’s just that I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to get around the city easily. I’ve literally been here a few weeks–but I think I’ll be fine! You guys have your lunch thing” I tried to not show my disappointment, but Barry saw through me. “I can meet Cecile’s daughter another time. I’ll help you get around town, let me just–” “You are not skipping this lunch, Barry” Joe firmly told him, “(Y/n) just said they’d be fine, so let’s get going” Joe motioned for Barry to follow him and started walking off. Barry gave me an apologetic look before shrugging. I gave him a soft smile and a wave. “Jitters later?” He said, walking backwards. “Jitters” I nodded.
I watched as he jogged over to Joe. I watched them visibly arguing, even from where I was at. I watched as they bickered about the lunch, or possibly me. I watched as they not-so sneakily turned around to look at me. I watched as they waved at me when they noticed I saw them. I watched as they walked off and disappeared behind a corner. I watched as they left me alone.
“Of course not, Cisco!” I walked down the streets of Central City while talking to Cisco on my phone through my earbuds. Which, Cisco had made and designed both items himself. He installed a bunch of apps on the phone including a Meta Human app that could notify me of an attack. The phone had been waiting for me when I first woke up. Apparently, Cisco had a feeling I’d be needing a new one and just decided to make me one. I was grateful, but confused as to why he had made me one. My phone was in my pocket as I spoke through the mic in my earbuds. “What? Why not?” Cisco asked on the other line, “It has an amazing view and was at a good price” “Exactly, it was at a good price,” I told him, “until that douche bag found out I was loaded with money and raised the price on me” “But,” Cisco asked carefully, “are you loaded?” A lot can happen in two years apparently. “I–” I sighed, “I-I have s-some money in a bank that wa-as stored for me back when … ” I rubbed my temple as I walked, “Yes, okay? I’ve kind of been doing my own thing with the whole money situation– ”–a-and I may have parted some money aside back when,“ I dropped my voice, "back when Oliver was running the company,” I groaned, “Of course I took some money, I knew he wouldn’t be able to handle it, so, yes! I am, kind of, loaded. Jesus, I’m such a bad person” I looked up at the sky as I continued to walk restlessly. “Girl,” Cisco started his pep talk, “You were doing what you thought was right at the time. You’re not your family and that was your money, too. You were being cautious and prepared” “But–”
“No but’s. Your family did the best they could and it’s up to them to decide how that goes for them. Now, you have that money for yourself so you can spend it on a nice apartment. Eat a good meal, settle down until you get your life back in check. "It can’t be that much money, right? I mean, what do you have? A couple thousand dollars?” “More like 6,” I swallowed hard. “Thousand? That’s nothing. Maybe you should’ve taken more–” Cisco tried joking around. “Million” I winced as I closed my eyes. “ … (Y/n)” Cisco said on the other line. “It’s not like Oliver would’ve realized I took anything! Like I said, he did stupid things with his money back then!” I defended myself. “You are so buying me pizza this week” he told me and I gave a weak laugh. “Shut up,” I shook my head. “I just don’t understand, you liked the place, why didn’t you just buy it?” Cisco asked me in confusion as he referred back to the apartment I was checking out earlier. “I wasn’t going to give the guy selling the satisfaction of winning me over,” I rolled my eyes, “Besides, I have a tendency to buy ridiculous things–er–that’s what my mother used to say anyways” I scratched he back of me neck. “Dude, video games are not ridiculous–they are amazing” Cisco told me and I laughed. “As great as they can be, I still haven’t found a place that I really like” I sighed, “Also, I think I’m lost” “Keep walking, another 2 blocks, and you’ll find Jitters on your right” Cisco informed me. “Really? Thank–” I stopped myself and stood in place for a second, I opened my mouth to speak, but quickly closed it. I looked around with a frown on my face, “Cisco–” “I may or may not have put a tracker on your phone” Cisco’s voice went up a pitch. “Dude,” I held my hands out in exaggeration and shrugged my shoulders, “don’t put a tracker in my phone without my permission” “It was just for precautions” Cisco told me.
“Great,” I started walking again, hopefully towards Jitters, “I don’t think I’ll ever find a place” Cisco was quiet on the other end. As I walked, I felt my phone vibrate. I took my phone out and saw it was a message from an unknown number. ’Yo u think I could help me out later ?’ I frowned at the number. “Hey, you know, if you don’t want to go through the trouble of looking at more apartments, you could just stay with me for a while?” I was taken back by the two suggestions. I was quiet for a moment. “I mean–only if you want to,” Cisco quickly added, “It’s just that, being here, waking up, missing everything–it just all seems like so much and I thought maybe–” “I’d love to stay with you, Cisco” I quickly said, “I’ll pay rent and I’ll buy you pizza and video games and” I smiled, “thank you” My phone vibrated again with another message. ’This is Wally btw lol Cisco gave me ur # Just wanted advice on speedster stuff thought maybe u could help idk’ I hummed at the message. “Great,” Cisco’s voice was enthusiastic, “I guess I’ll take that pizza tonight. Dinner is on you” I could practically hear the smile on his face. I laughed at that and we said our goodbyes. As I hung up, I went to respond to Wally’s messages. ’boiii Ur supposed to be having lunch with Cecile and her daughter stop texting me !! also y me ?¿’ I sent the messages and took the earbuds out of my ears. I held the middle of the two earbud cords and swung the tips around as I continued walking. I could see Jitters in the distance. I silently thanked Cisco for putting a tracker in my phone. I checked my phone again to see if I had gotten any new messages. Wally must type slow, huh, that’s ironic. While I was at it I went ahead and added Wally as a new contact. I started looking through my phone for things to keep my distracted while I walked. Then, I got a message. ’Idk i mean after all u did get struck by lightning, too Barry’s also telling me to pay attention to our lunch ugh u guys r the most annoying parents ttyl’ I chuckled at him comparing us to his parents. However, I was confused as to why he would do such a thing. I mean, his sister was dating Barry, wasn’t she? I didn’t bother responding, but I couldn’t stop staring at that first message. He was right. I was struck by lightning, too. Did that make me a speedster? Does it take a while for the powers to accumulate? Since I was in a coma for longer–does that mean I don’t get my powers early on? Or at all? Am I overthinking this? Am I not thinking enough? Questions raced through my head as I thought of the possibilities. What was to become of all this? My pace picked up as did my thoughts. I put my earbuds away and started fiddling with my hands to distract myself. I sighed, trying to relax myself, but only became more frantic. As I approached Jitters, I wondered if coffee was the best thing for me right now. However, I didn’t have much time to wonder. People starting coming out of the cafe in a frantic manner. I sped my way towards a woman of my age. Joe and the others could still be in there. “Excuse me!” I called out to her. She turned to face me with a sour look on her face. “Hi, I’m sorry to disturb, but what’s going on?” I said, my voice shaking. “There’s a metahuman in there, you should probably run” she told me, starting to frantically run again. “Oh! Wait! No, I’m actually–” I tried yelling and catching up to her.
“You’re actually helpless in the situation,” she said, cutting me off, “Unless you’re the Flash or Kid Flash, I suggest you run like everyone else” She then quickly ran off. I watched as she ran off, as everyone ran off. I instinctively reached for my phone to call for help–Oliver, Felicity, Thea–anyone. I stopped myself when I realized I couldn’t call them. A wave of anxiety washed over me again. I had to do this on my own. I couldn’t fall into old habits. I tried calming my breathing as I carefully walked up to Jitters’ entrance. I stayed by the wall, creeping my way up. If there was a metahuman attack, I’d have to be extra careful. I slowly peered over the glass doors. I saw a man in dark clothing speaking to a group of others on the second floor. On closer inspection, I realized it was Barry and everyone else.
As the man, assumingely the meta, approached the others, Joe pointed his gun at the man. My eyes widened and I took my gun out as I quietly walked in. As I did so, Joe shot at the man. Three bullets moved through the air in what seemed like slow motion. The three bullets disintegrated as they touched the man, and the remains fell to the ground. I stared in shock at the way the world seemed to move slowly around me. However, the feeling quickly went away as the man spoke. “Told ya,” the man said, reaching for a pillar holding up the floor everyone else was on. “Freeze” I spoke, pointing my gun at the man. The man stopped and slowly turned to look at me. He took me in, stared me down. He looked at my shaking hands and raised an eyebrow at me. I quickly glanced at Barry, giving him a signal to get everyone else out. Barry just shook my head at me, his eyes full of worry and panic. I looked back at the man and stood my ground. “They didn’t work when he did it,” The man gestured with his head to Joe, “Why should they work when you do it?” “Because I’m not going to shoot” I calmly said and the man frowned. I heard a swoosh and I felt a gush of wind. Oh, thank god, I thought. I didn’t move my gun, but I noticed Barry was still up with everyone else and that Wally wasn’t. “Stop,” Wally told the man, walking towards him. My eyes flickered between both of them. “Ah, ah, ah!” The man snickered, “You can’t touch me speedster” I noticed Wally and Barry look at each other, Barry signaling hand movements. Wally stopped and turned to me, I shrugged my shoulders. Wally rolled his eyes and gestured for me to leave. I frowned and shook my head. He gave me a desperate look and I started giving in. I backed up, not completely leaving, but out of the way.
Wally turned back to the man and started waving his hands around, I watched as, again, everything moved in slow motion. Wally created air funnels and the amount of wind caused the man to fall back and crash through the back glass door. I saw Wally normally run out of the room, while everything else still moved in slow motion. I felt myself shaking, a lot more than usual. Everything returned to its normal speed, and Barry came running towards me. His eyes were wide as he approached me. I looked down as I saw my hands moving in an inhuman speed. I dropped my gun in surprise. I felt myself start to freak out. I felt Barry grab my hands and keep them from vibrating. I looked up at him in shock. “I was struck by lightning, too,” was the only thing I managed to say. “(Y/n), listen to me, we need to get you out of here” Barry began guiding me out of Jitters. “Barry? Queen!” Cecile called out as she saw us rush out. Barry didn’t mind her as he opened the door for me. He quickly took me to an empty alley. My whole arms were shaking now, too. The rest of the world decelerated and I felt electricity run through my body. Barry seemed to be the only thing that was moving with me. “Barry, what–what do I do?” I looked at him with bewildered eyes. “We need to get you to S.T.A.R. Labs” he told me as I felt my whole body vibrate. “I can’t” I shook my head. As I did so, Barry slowed down. He stood there, slowly taking me in. I felt myself worry again. I was alone. Not even Barry could keep up with me. My legs were starting to shake harder and I needed to move. Calm down, I told myself, you’re okay–you’re okay–what would Barry do? I tried calming down my breathing. Concentrating on slowing down. When I did, I managed to understand what Barry was saying. “Run, (Y/n),” his voice echoed through my head, “run”

Shut Up
Pairing- Barry Allen x Reader
Warnings- Fluff
“So…” Barry said as we stopped in front of my apartment building. “Y/N. Um....” Barry gave a nervous laugh as he scratched the back of his neck. “I was wondering, like if you wanted to, you don’t have to, I mean I don’t want to pressure you, I really like you and I don’t want you to feel-”
I cut Barry off, “First off, shut up. Second, yes.”
“Yes?” Barry asked.
“Yes I will go out with you, Barry Allen,” I said, smiling.
“Great,” he said. “Great. Okay, I look forward to this date. I’ll plan everything, you don’t have to worry. I’ll give you a time and a date. It’ll be great, you won’t regret it.”
“I know I won’t regret it,” I told Barry. I kissed him on the cheek. “I’ll see you tomorrow at work.”
“Okay, bye. Bye Y/N.”
“Bye Barry.”
As I went inside, Barry smiled to himself. He had a date with me.

My Secrets Are Better Than Your Secrets.
Original Imagine: Barry noticing something's not quite right with you after you realize you love him but you don't think you can tell him.
Author: contrygal7
Reader Gender: Female
Word Count: 2,258
Warnings: Mentions of Bludhaven, Gothem, and everything that comes along with that. Sorry, couldn't help myself. For those hard core DC fans; because I know the need to have some of these characters in the 'verse. This one's for you. <3
* * * * * * * * * *
It's amazing how drastically your life can change. Not only that, but in the mere seconds it takes for such things to happen.
All you wanted was for your life to be simple.
You wanted a simple job. You wanted simple, normal friends. And for once in your life you wanted a love life that was simple, all in all, you wanted one thing; simplicity, across the board.
Which was one of the reasons you moved from Blüdhaven to Central City.
You moved from a crime riddled conglomerate into what was supposed to be a safe, normal city.
But you were seriously beginning to doubt that such a thing even existed.
You wanted to be able to walk down the street without having to worry if you remembered to put your taser in your purse that morning; so naturally you moved to safe, calm, normal, Central City.
Boy, where you wrong.
It was all going according to plan for a while. You'd gotten a job at the local police station. The job was easy, thanks to previous experiences.
Sure actually obeying the law and not hacking your way into everything did take some time, but you were adjusting. You were actually starting to feel normal.
For about two seconds.
Once the police department found out about your hacking skills they became rather suspicious, well not suspicious, they were "intrigued".
Add that to the fact that you were surrounded by detectives each and every day.
You were pretty much just waiting for one of them to piece together who you were, and who you had previously been working with.
So you took it day by day, not letting on just how good you were with a computer, just in case some of the detectives were actually half way decent.
You still clearly remember the day you met the very inquisitive Detective Joe West.
He'd been kind and courteous to you, offering you a cup of coffee as you furiously clicked the keys of your keyboard.
You remember not realizing what you were saying as he smoothly asked "Must be a hell of a change from what your used to, huh?"
Without looking up you casually answered "Eh, I don't have an irritating man-child or an impatient billionaire looking over my shoulder every six seconds. It's kinda nice."
Your fingers on the keyboard slow down as you hear Joe's response "I have a hard time believing Bruce Wayne was impatient."
Grabbing your attention you intertwine your fingers with your thumbs and forefingers creating a steeple as you replied "Maybe not impatient. . . I think impulsive might be a better word. How did you know that I worked for Bruce?"
Joe nodded in understanding as he took a slow pull from his coffee mug "Well it does say Detective on my badge for a reason. . ."
You were beginning to become uncomfortable with the turn the conversation was going but thankfully Joe stopped it, outstretching his hand "I'm Joe by the way, Joe West."
You smiled your friendly smile as you shook his hand with your own "Well, it's nice to meet you Joe, I'm (Y/F/N)."
The two of you shared a friendly smile before you took your hand back, crossing one leg over your knee under your desk "So Joe, do you talk about all billionaires, or is Bruce just special?"
A small chuckle slipped from between your lips as you pulled your own mug to your lips "Oh no. I talk smack on all of them."
Your eyebrows furrow together questionably at Joe as you mess with him "Oh well, I can't speak for all billionaires, but I'd watch how you talked about my man Bruce. He don't play around."
You were slightly worried that you might have said a bit too much but fortunately someone interrupted your conversation "Hey Joe. I have the results on those samples you pulled from the crime scene this morning."
Joe was thankfully taken aback by the dashing young man's Intel, and you breathed a sigh of relief before Joe says "Oh Bar, have you meet (Y/N)? She's the new hacker on the force."
Uh oh. This one's cute, that's not going to be good for my health.
You outstretched your hand but almost pulled it back as soon as your skin touched his, you were feeling an almost electric pull toward this man, and that worried you, "Hi, I'm Barry Allen."
You nod, not sure how to reply "Uh, I'm (Y/F/N). I just started a couple months back."
Ummmmm, what in the hell was that?
You slowly rub your hand inconspicuously under the table as you listen to Barry's question "Oh, yeah yeah yeah. Aren't you the Blüdhaven girl?"
You smile almost mockingly "Well I did move here from Blüdhaven. But that's not what you wanted to ask."
You couldn't stop the anxiety that hit your gut like a pound of bricks as Barry asks "Have you. . ."
You answered before he concluded his statement, knowing full well what he was going to ask "No. I've never formally met any of them. Of course I don't think anyone ever has."
Joe's curious voice chimed in once again "Why didn't you request for the task force then? Coming from Bludhaven, I'm willing to bet you've seen all kinds of stuff."
You smile as you respond "Yeah, well one good thing about Gothem and Blüdhaven. All our vigilantes are human."
You were pulled from your memories as the steam from one of the coffee machines to your right releases.
Your heart sank for the hundredth time in the past two days, you'd known Barry about a year now and you were really starting to like him.
But you didn't realize it till recently, very recently, like earlier that same day recently, that you might actually love him.
You run your fingers anxiously though your hair before you place both of your hands around the bright red coffee mug in front of you.
This should not bother me. I know all kinds of secrets. Hell, I even know that Barry is the Flash, of course he doesn't know that I know that; but that's not the point.
You shake your head gently as you run over the facts in your head.
Okay, is there any way to break this to Barry slowly? Uh, you lied about who you are, where your from, why you came here, and what you do for a living. Shit.
You can feel Barry's presence before he even walks into Jitters.
You smile weakly at him as he walks over before kissing you on the cheek as he takes the seat across from you "Hey baby, is everything okay? You sounded off on the phone."
You shake off his worry like you had been for a couple weeks now "Oh yeah I'm fine. Actually I was just thinking of the day we met."
Your heart warms in your chest as he smiles shyly "One year ago today."
Your breath shallows as you whisper "You kept track?"
He smiles warmly at you, causing your insides to melt as he reached across the table laying his hand possessively on yours "Of course I did."
You pull your hand from under his into your lap as you sadly say "Oh Barry, I really wish you wouldn't have."
His confused expression causes you to look down again at your coffee, pretending to stir it as Barry asks "What? Why not?"
You sigh deeply before responding honestly "Because this is actually working. I don't understand how, but it is. . ."
You don't look up as Barry asks obviously confused "Why wouldn't this be working?"
You take another breath as you gently say "Because Barry. I've kept things from you. Things that in order for this--" You motion between the two of you "--to work, I'd have to tell you."
You look up at him and meet his naturally guarded expression as he says "Okay, fine, tell me."
Your shoulders slump as you fight off the fidgeting you so badly want to do "I can't."
You watch as he sits across from you motionless as he asks, his expression still guarded "Why not?"
You look at him helplessly "In order for me to tell you my secrets, I'd have to tell you someone else's. And I can't do that."
You wince, waiting for the unavoidable argument that naturally occurs at this point in the conversation but Barry surprises you by calmly saying "Okay, so you have secrets. . . I have secrets too (Y/N)."
You shake your head at his attempt to lighten the mood "Yeah, but my secrets are bigger than your secrets."
You roll your eyes at Barry's laughter as he chuckles "Oh I highly doubt that."
You reach your hand across the table, grabbing his hand "I'm serious Barry. There is a whole other side of me that you know nothing about. That I can't share with you. That I want to share with you."
You watch the warmth cross his eyes as he scoots closer to you "Okay, so what do you want to do?"
Throwing your head in your hands you admit "I don't know Barry. I just know it's really stressing me out."
You feel Barry's arms around your waist in what seems like seconds, which knowing Barry it probably was seconds, before he's whispering reassuring things in your ear "Okay, well I know I don't know what's wrong, but I promise that I will be here when you figure them out."
You cling to Barry's warm embrace as he tries to console you "Hey, at this point in our relationship our secrets aren't affecting us as a couple, so try not to worry to much."
You shake your head, fighting the tears that are threatening to cascade down your face "But they are affecting me. I want to share things with you, Barry. I need to be able to. . ."
Barry's calm reassuring voice causes the tears to begin "You know you can tell me anything sweetheart. . . But why is this bothering you so bad?"
You can't contain the words that fall out of your mouth, and part of you hates yourself for letting them slip past, but that doesn't stop the awkward silence that comes after you whisper "Because I think I might love you Barry."
You close your eyes before pulling away as Barry's phone starts to ring, you look at Barry's still shocked expression as he stands still as stone in front of you.
You shake your head before shaking his shoulders gently "Barry. Barry! Barry you need to answer your phone!"
Barry doesn't make any effort to move so you take his phone from his pocket, seeing it's S.T.A.R. Labs you answer it, smiling at Cisco's obviously worried voice on the other end "Barry, we need you here man."
You smile slightly as you respond calmly "Hey Cisco does Barry have a reset button? I think I might have broken him."
You shake your head in disbelief as Cisco awkwardly mumbles "Oh, (Y/N), you answered Barry's phone. That's good, that's really good. Um, where is Barry?"
You mumble into the phone "Yeah, hang on he's right here."
You drag Barry out the back door before slapping him once in the face, not seeing any other option at the moment.
You breath a sigh of relief as he snaps out of it answering his phone "Cisco?"
You shake your head at Barry's still semi-shocked expression as he nods hanging up the phone "Yeah, yeah, alright I'm on my way."
You nod your head understandingly as he looks down at you "Um, (Y/N), I'm so sorry but I've got to go. ."
You smile before kissing him gently on the lips "It's okay, I understand. Go, your city needs you. . . Flash."
Barry's shocked expression returns as you roll your eyes again "Oh not this again; Go!"
You shove his shoulders gently as a shit-eating grin crosses his face "How long have you known?"
You return his grin as you calmly reply "Spoilers, Mr. Allen. Spoilers."
You smile gently as he returns to you, kissing you hard on the lips, cradling your head in his hand while sliding his other arm around your waist pulling you closer to him.
You break the kiss, knowing he needs to go before whispering "You need to go. . . "
He pulls away hesitantly before promising "Okay, but we're gonna talk about this."
You nod smiling as he's suddenly gone, whispering into the darkness "Yes, yes we are."
You shake your head wondering if it was the wrong time to let go on that one secret, but push it to the back of your brain as you fish your phone out of your back pocket.
You unlock it, bringing up your emergency contacts dialing the second one there.
A cocky familiar voice answers on the first ring his customary answer still causing you to chuckle after all this time "Dick's Hot Dogs."
You shake your head, fighting the chuckle that was currently building "Dick? I need a favor."
You smile as he answers quickly "You got it, name it."
You look out at the Darkness that the Flash just disappeared into "I need to see Bruce."
His answer was short and to the point "I'll have Alfred send the jet."
You shake your head, knowing the unpleasant conversation that was in your near future "Thanks Dick, I owe you one."
You shake your head hanging up the phone. Well, here goes nothing.

Partners in Crime #4
"Have yourself, a merry little Christmas.."
Barry could hear the iconic Christmas song coming from inside the forensic lab, as he reached for the door. Walking inside he could see strings of fairy lights adorning the lab walls, and a section of the wall; where green Christmas lights were put up in the shape of a Christmas tree. There was rustling in the far back corner, behind the bookcase of chemicals.
"This would have been so much easier if he actually cleaned the lab like he said he would."
"Who are you talking to (Y/N)?" Barry chuckled, seeing her struggling to try putting up a box on the highest shelf.
"Aaahhhh!" She jumped at his voice, letting the box go. Barry grabbed it before it could hit the floor, and shatter whatever was in it. "Didn't you learn in school not to sneak up on people, while they're trying to put things on high shelves?" she questioned in annoyance.
"I don't think they teach you that in school."
He tried not to laugh at her attempt to put on a menacing face. She glared at him, before breaking into laughter as well.
"Well consider yourself taught then. Now go, and spread the knowledge my young cricket." He chuckled at her response, while putting up the box on the top shelf, with little effort.
"What are you up to lady?"
"Well, since you're a liar, I took it upon myself to clean your lab."
"Hey, it's our lab now."
"Oh, sorry. I meant YOUR MESS," she enunciated the last two words, poking his chest for emphasis.
Barry took a moment to look around the room to find it a lot cleaner than he had ever seen, since moving into the office. The scattered pile of papers that had been on the floor for four months, were now filed in their respective folders and placed neatly on his desk. The multiple dirty beakers that were left in the sink were now on the drying rack, spotless. The empty boxes of donuts were thrown away in the trash, and the table that previously housed said donuts, was cleaned and free of any debris. He could go on forever playing the game, 'Spot the Difference'.
"I'm sorry..." He rubbed his neck, embarrassed.
"Yes Barry, I know you're sorry. I think the whole police station calls you "Sorry" instead of "Barry" now," she teased. "Anyways, it's not a big deal. The mess didn't bother me too much."
He raised his eyebrows at her lie.
"Okay fine, it was bothering me a little. But cleaning is very therapeutic for me, so it really wasn't a big deal."
"Still, it was my mess. You should have let me clean it."
(Y/N) threw him an amused look. "You and I both know you would have never cleaned. And besides, I wanted to decorate the place with a little Christmas cheer, so I volunteered to clean it."
"Let me make it up to you, though. I feel bad for making you clean my mess." He knew that he wouldn't have cleaned it either way, and was thankful she ended up cleaning his mess.
"I told you, don't worry about it." (Y/N) tried assuring him, but he continued pleading.
"Please!" he begged her.
"Fine! I have one way you can make it up to me."
"Yes!" He felt victorious, winning the "argument". "What is it?"
"Well, a little birdie told me that you have the voice of an angel." She enjoyed watching his face turn red from embarrassment.
"W-what? Who told you that?" His voice became high and he could feel the burning of his cheeks.
"Caitlin and Iris." she was trying to refrain from laughing, not wanting to upset him. She didn't think his face could become any more red, but was proven wrong. He reminded her of one of the round shiny red ornaments. "I want you sing for me."
(Y/N)'s face brightened at a new idea that popped in her head. "Actually, better yet, I want you to go caroling in your neighborhood for me. Why should I be the only one to enjoy your beautiful voice?"
"No, absolutely not."
"Wow." She feigned a disappointed face, using her dramatic acting skills she learned from years of watching Korean dramas and Spanish soap operas. "I thought Barry Allen was a man of his word. I guess not."
"I am-"
"Nope, I don't want to hear it. I have lost my faith in men. What's the point, when they are all going to lie to you? Barry Allen, you are to blame if I end up shunning men for life and become a nun."
Barry sighed, knowing that her dramatic acting would not stop until he gave in.
"Fine." he muttered.
"Uh, what's that? I can't hear you. Did you just say another lie?" she teased, cupping her hand to her ear.
"Fine." he muttered, more loudly this time.
(Y/N) broke into her widest smile at the response. She danced a little victory dance, while making a mental note of the songs she was going to make him sing.
"What's got you jumping up and down?" Joe walking into the room, watching (Y/N) with amusement.
"Joe! You came in just the right time! Barry, here, has agreed to go Christmas caroling around the whole neighborhood!" She couldn't help but laugh, picturing Barry caroling by himself.
"Really?" Joe was surprised, shocked even, at the news. "You know I tried to get this kid to sing whenever we went to the karaoke bar? He threatened to quit his job."
Barry buried his face in his hands, attempting to block them out.
"Never underestimate a woman and her power of persuasion."
When their laughing died down, Barry took the opportunity to change the subject.
"Joe, did you need something?" He said a little grumpily.
"Actually, I just came up here to ask (Y/N) if she wanted to join us for our Christmas get-together."
(Y/N)'s eyes lit up, like the Christmas lights in the room.
"Really? I would love to!" Her expression turned worrisome for a moment. "Actually, I was planning to spend Christmas with Caitlin and Cisco. And Dr. Wells, whether he likes it or not."
"Barry was planning to invite them anyway. The more the merrier," the detective offered.
"That's settled then! I'll bring some of my brownies." she started planning in her head.
"That's not necessary, you don't need to bring anything-"
Barry interrupted Joe's sentence. "Joe, let her bring her brownies. Caitlin told me stories about them; they're the best you'll ever taste. Even Dr. Wells agreed." He was a little curious how good they were to have won over Dr. Wells.
(Y/N) patted her friend on the back. "You flatter me, my good man."
"Well, if you don't mind (Y/N)."
"Consider it done! It's really not a problem making them!" (Y/N) beamed at Joe, remembering to thank him for the invitation. "Thank you for inviting me!"
"Well, then I will see you both tomorrow night then!" Joe waved at the two, then left to take care of other matters.
"Iris is going to be there." Barry brought up, watching the detective leave.
"Cool?" (Y/N) responded, unsure why he was telling her this piece of information.
"You promised to help me with Iris?" Barry jogged her memory to a before, when she promised him to help with his love life.
"Right, listen Barry-"
"Oh no you don't. If I have to keep my promises, you have to keep yours."
"But-"
"If you back out, I won't have to carol around the neighborhood. You know what? Don't help me. Then I don't have to carol anymore." Barry grinned at the dilemma (Y/N) faced.
"Ugh, fine. I'll help you, she begrudgingly agreed. "But like I said, whatever happens, you better not blame me, mister."
"Sure, whatever." he agreed.
"Oh, and Barry?"
"What?" His mind was now occupied on how to rope her into going caroling with him.
"I'll make sure to make buy some figgy pudding for you." she teased.

Partners in Crime #3
After spending some needed girl time, the pair headed back to STAR Labs.
(Y/N) could hear Caitlin, in the passenger seat, talking on the phone in hushed whispers. She didn't think much of it, not wanting to be nosy. The whispering conversation continued, when the car pulled into the lab parking lot. She waited patiently, turning off the ignition, for her friend to finish the phone conversation.
Caitlin's face lit up all of a sudden. "Alright, I'll bring her in then." Hanging up, she turned to her friend with a big smile.
"What are you so happy about? You're starting to freak me out." (Y/N) leaned against the door, distancing herself from her creepily smiling friend.
"Well, Cisco just told me that our fifth team member is present in the lab, and to bring you in to meet him!"
"Why were you being so secretive on the phone, then?" she asked.
"You'll see when we get there!"
Caitlin managed to get out of the car in record time, flinging open the driver's door, grabbing (Y/N)'s hand, and dragging her into the lab.
"Cait, Caitlin, c-can we slow down a bit?" (Y/N) wheezed, out of breath. But she couldn't help but smile, seeing how giddy Caitlin was. She hadn't seen her friend this happy, since Ronnie died.
"There you guys are! What took you so long?" The resident tech-genius whined. "Was there a shoe sale on the way here that you had to stop by?" He was still munching a Twizzler when they entered the room.
"Hey! There's nothing wrong with wanting to drive safe. Slow and steady wins the race, or in this case, stay alive." (Y/N) thought of herself to have superb driving skills, especially better than Cisco, who thought the speed limit sign was more of a suggestion for drivers, and Caitlin, who drove extremely slow in case she accidentally hit a butterfly.
"And where is this important person I need to meet?" Frankly, she was a little annoyed at the mystery of the fifth person. It had been bugging her all day, and having impatience as a personality trait was not helping the situation. Who was this secretive person who she had practically had to set an appointment to meet?
"Well, the need to wait is no more. Here he is!" Cisco stepped to his right, wiggling his fingers at the ground behind him.. "TA-DA!"
"A dog?! We have a team mascot? Oh my goodness, he is so adorable!" She half-whispered, half-screamed because the little puppy was sleeping, adorably, on the floor. (Y/N) was literally jumping up and down, unable to contain her excitement on the news of the unmasked fifth member.
So worth the wait.
"Dang it, I thought you would be mad, or at least a little annoyed." Cisco was disappointed at her reaction, thinking she would be mad that the mysterious fifth person wasn't even a person. "I completely forgot that you loved dogs."
Caitlin rolled her eyes at his attempt to annoy (Y/N) and turned her attention to trying to calm down her best friend. "(Y/N). (Y/N). (Y/N)!!" Her attempts failed, however, as her friend now kneeled on the floor, cooing at the sleeping puppy. "(Y/N), can you listen to me for five seconds, please?"
(Y/N) stopped her fawning, and stared at her friend, who was cutting into her time of cooing at the puppy.
"Yes?"
"Cisco was just kidding. We actually have someone, a real person, we want you to meet, before you lose your mind again over the puppy." Caitlin gestured her hand over to the area behind (Y/N), where a figure dressed in, what appeared to be, scarlet red spandex stood.
"That cannot be comfortable," she commented, under her breath.
She focused her attention on his face, which she couldn't see very clearly. Standing up, she brushed off her knees and walked over to the red figure with her hand extended out.
"Hello sir! I'm (Y/N)! Pleasure to meet you!"
Even as she got closer, she couldn't make out his face very well. It seemed as though it was vibrating or something. She rubbed her eyes, thinking her vision was messing with her.
The red figure took her hand, and shook it, but didn't do anything else. He just continued to look at her.
"Umm, this would be the part where you tell me your name?" Immediately, the handshaking stopped.
"Wait, (Y/N). You don't know who this?" Caitlin voiced from behind.
"Of course I know who this is. You're 'The Flash'! But I meant, what's your real name? You must have a real name right? Or am I supposed to guess? Is it Clark? Bruce? Bart? Wilson? Wait no, you don't really give off the vibe of a Wilson…" She continued rattling off names off, already lost in her own world.
Caitlin sighed, not liking to have to raise her voice. "(Y/N). (Y/N). (Y/N)!!"
"Bernie? Stewar-" She looked at her friends' faces. They didn't seem as excited as she was.
"What?"
"We can't really tell you his identity…"
"Yeah, Dr. Wells told us that we shouldn't, or can't, tell you for your safety."
She gave her friends an 'are you kidding me' look.
"Well, WE aren't allowed to tell you, but if you found out for yourself, we couldn't stop you," the voice behind the vibrating face reasoned. (Y/N) turned back to the source of the voice, the man in the spandex suit. She gave him the same look she gave her friends.
"For all I know, you could be the guy selling hot dogs on the street. How would I even find out? Actually, the better question is, why should I even try?"
"The answer is closer than you think," the superhero hinted.
"At least give me a better hint." She pleaded the Flash and her friends, with the best puppy dog eyes she could muster. But to her friends, it just looked like she was trying to imitate bug eyes, so it didn't help her cause.
"So until I find out who he really is, he has to walk around in that costume whenever I'm here?"
"Yup. And it's not a costume, it's a superhero suit. There's a difference," Cisco insisted.
"Well, I do love a man in uniform." she said jokingly. "I think I'll take my time on this case."
"It's true, she does." Caitlin laughed at her friend's antics.
The Flash, on the other hand, seemed flustered at her words, making him stutter. "I-uh-um. Well, nice meeting you Ms-"
"Call me (Y/N)."
"Right. Um, well, I'll be leaving now. Let me know if anything happens or if you need me."
With an awkward wave, the Flash sped out of the room, making any loose papers fly about in the air.
"You know, you guys should really buy some paperweights." (Y/N) suggested to her friends. "Where's he going by the way?"
"Probably off to another rendezvous with his crush." Cisco informed, with raising his eyebrows up and down, in a suggestive manner.
"Huh, interesting. I wonder who she is?"
"Cisco, don't you dare." Seeing him about to answer her question, Caitlin hurried to interrupt him.
"Any-who, back to the real important matter at hand." (Y/N) gestured to the puppy on the floor. "Who's puppy is she?" The puppy of the matter was still sleeping, not even bothered by the previous events in the room.
"It's yours actually."
"WHAT?!"
With that yell, the puppy woke up from it's nap and gave out a yawn, before running over to (Y/N) and pouncing near her feet. He took a second to sniff the new human, before reverting back to jumping up and down.
"What do you mean?" (Y/N) was on the verge of tears from the happiness, and sadness that this whole thing might be a dream. She pinched herself to check. "Ow.. Yup, definitely not a dream."
"We got you a puppy as a welcome gift! I know how much you've wanted one but couldn't when you were in Starling." Caitlin exclaimed.
Her previous land lord didn't allow her to keep dogs in her apartment because of his allergies, so she had to hold off on her dream of becoming a dog lady (similar idea to 'cat lady', but instead with dogs). Well, she wasn't serious on the dog lady thing, but was devastated upon finding out that she wouldn't be able to get a dog. But now, with her changed living spaces, she could.
"You guys, you are the best friends that anyone could ever have." Caitlin's eyes got teary at her words, and Cisco was already a sobbing mess. "What's his name?"
Wiping away her tears, Caitlin responded. "We were waiting for you to name him, since he's yours."
Laughing, (Y/N) looked at the dog closely, through her watering eyes. "Hmm. I think I'm going to call you Chewy. Short for Chewbaca the Third."
The dog barked at his name. "Good! I'm glad you like the name! You're gonna be our new mascot!" Smiling , she picked him up in her arms gently.
"Well, if he's our new mascot, you better be ready to bring him in to the lab everyday. He's as much part of the team as anyone of us." Cisco said.
"Of course! And I hereby decree, Cisco Ramon and Caitlin Snow, the godfather and godmother of my child Chewy. If anything were to happen to me, I entrust him in your care." (Y/N) announced dramatically, sniffling through her stuffed nose.
"And the moment's over." Caitlin sighed again at her overly dramatic best friend.
(A/N) I really want a dog. I really want a dog. I really want a dog. I think if I say this enough times, maybe one will appear.

Confessions (and Batman)
A/N: I’m back and ready with another Barry Allen fanfiction! Yay!
Request: “Your writing is wonderful!! Would you mind writing a shy!reader x Barry where they both like each other but neither one knows? If not that’s okay too! Thanks!!” I’m so happy you like my writing! I would be more than happy to write this! If you have a request, please send it! I would be more than happy to write it for you!
Pairing: Barry Allen/The flash x shy!reader
Description: Barry just wants to tell Y/N how he feels. Y/N just wants to tell Barry how she feels. They’re both just a little too awkward to confess anything, though.
Warnings: swearing??? That should be it
This is also probably trash but maybe you’ll like it??? idk
Barry didn’t expect Bruce Wayne to be sitting on a chair in his computer lab when he walked into the warehouse, and definitely didn’t expect Bruce Wayne to ask him to become apart of his team to defeat Steppenwolf.
“Okay, but there’s nothing special about me,” Barry said, walking over to one of his computer’s.
“Then what’s this costume for?” Bruce asked, standing up and walking over to the flash suit.
“I do competitive ice dancing,” Barry lied, pulling up a tab on his computer.
“Right, right.”
Just then, the warehouse door opened and you, his best friend and crush-not-crush, walked in.
Barry turned around and looked at you, smiling. You smiled back and both of you blushed. Bruce noticed this and looked from you to Barry. He then quickly pulled out a Batarang and threw it in your direction.
Barry's eyes went wide. He knew what Bruce was doing, trying to get him to show his power’s. Everything was suddenly in slow motion. He ran over to you and grabbed your wrist with his left hand, pulling you out of the way. He grabbed the Batarang with his right hand and caught it between his fingers.
Bruce smirked and sat back down in the chair. “Not special, huh?”
“You know, this is lovely and all, but I would appriciate if you didn’t throw Batarangs at my girlf- best friend. Thanks.”
You blushed behind Barry and looked at the ground.
“Okay, well hurry up and make up your mind, kid.”
Barry sighed and let go of your wrist. “Yeah, I’ll come.”
“W-wait, where are you going?” You asked in a whisper.
“I have no idea. I just have to go with Mr. Wayne here to-”
“Can I come?”
The question caught both Barry and Bruce off guard, as they stared at you for quite a few minutes.
“Depends,” Bruce said. “Can you fight?”
“Well, kind of. I know how to shoot a gun and use a bow and arrow, though.”
Barry coughed awkwardly. “So you’re saying that you know how to use a bow and arrow but you never told me?”
“Yeah...”
Barry looked at you with admiration in his eyes.
Bruce cleared his throat and looked at you. “Okay lovebirds, hurry up, we don’t have all day.”
You blushed and looked down.
“Right,” Barry mumbled, “Sorry.”
Both of you walked in opposite directions. You went to grab your jacket and Barry went to grab a box of pizza. When you were done you meet at the door with Bruce.
“Why the hell do you have a whole pizza?” Bruce asked Barry as the three of you walked out to Bruce’s car.
“Well, since I have super speed, I burn calories, like, ten times faster than the average human would, so I have-”
You started to zone out after a while, falling asleep in the back of Bruce’s car.
-----
“So anyway, the problem with-”
“Let me stop you right there, kid,” Bruce said. “You talk way too much.”
“Right, sorry. It happens when I’m nervous,” Barry muttered, looking out the car window.
There was an awkward silence before Bruce spoke up.
“So, tell me about your girlfriend.” Bruce looked at Barry and smirked.
“She’s not my girlfriend.”
“You sure? I mean, the way the two of you look at each other and the way you both blush while talking to each other kind of makes it seem like you’re a couple.”
“Yeah, well, we’re not, so just drop it.”
“It’s kind of obvious she likes you, Barry,” Bruce stated.
Barry snorted. “I wish.”
“You should ask her out.”
Barry looked at Bruce with his mouth agape. “What?”
Bruce sighed. “Listen, kid, you like her, she likes you. Ask her out. You two would make one hell of a couple.”
“I-I can’t. I mean, god I want to so bad, but I can’t. She’s my best friend and I don’t want to ruin our friendship if she doesn’t like me back. I wish I could but, I just can’t.”
“Kid, listen. You have to try. If you don’t try now, you may never get the chance.”
“Yeah, but what if-”
“Enough of the ‘what if’s’. You’re going to ask her by the end of the day, got it?”
“Um, yeah. Okay, yeah. I’ll ask her by the end of the day, I promise.”
-----
You woke up just as Bruce parked his car at the Batcave. Bruce opened the door and stepped out of the car, you and Barry following after him.
“Oh my god...” Barry muttered, looking around.
“Pretty great, right?” Bruce asked, walking away. You and Barry followed likewise, taking in your surroundings as you walked along.
At one point Barry absentmindedly reached out and grabbed your hand, intertwining your fingers. You blushed and looked down at your intertwined hands, smiling to yourself.
You continued to follow Bruce for a few more minutes before you stopped in a large room. At a table sat a young woman and an older man. The young woman stood up and walked over to you and Barry. You felt Barry drop your hand when she reached you two.
“You must be our new recruits. It’s wonderful to meet you. I’m Diana.”
She held out her hand Barry took it. “Hi Barry, I’m Diana,” Barry said. “Wait, no, that’s not right.”
You snickered as Diana pulled away and put her hand out towards you. “It’s a pleasure to meet you. I’m Y/N.”
She looked at both of you and smiled. “So, are you two a-”
“No, we’re not,” Barry protested, cutting her off.
“Oh.”
An awkward silence settled in the room before Bruce cleared his throat. “I’m just going to need to take Barry here for a few seconds, to, talk,” Bruce suggested, grabbing Barry’s upper arm.
“But, Mr. Wayne-” Barry interrupted.
Bruce pulled Barry away before you could here anything else. You swore you saw him wink at Diana before he left.
“So, Y/N,” Diana began, starting to walk forward. “Tell me about yourself.”
“Well, uh, I like animals, and art,” you muttered. “I also guess I like read. I mean, okay, I love to read. I can shoot a bow and arrow, too.”
“That’s cool. I know how to use a sword.”
“Cool.”
It was quiet for a minute and you could only hear the clicking of Diana’s heels. “Do you have a boyfriend?”
You felt your face heat up. “Well, no, but-”
“Are you interested in anyone by chance?”
“I mean, yeah, but-”
“It’s Barry, isn’t it?”
You sighed. “Is it that obvious?”
She laughed. “Just a little.”
“Damn.”
“You should ask him out. Like, on a date. I’m positive he likes you, too.”
You snickered. “That’s funny.”
“Oh, come on. It’s obvious he likes you back. I mean, he was the one that grabbed your hand, wasn’t he?” Diana smirked.
“You saw that?”
“Obviously. We all did. You could probably hold his hand more if you asked him on a date.”
“Yeah, no.”
“Why not?”
“Out of all the people in the world he could possibly like, why the hell would it be me?”
“Well, you’re a beautiful young lady who is very sweet and is an absolutly wonderful person, even if I’ve only known you for an hour or so.”
“Your point is?”
She sighed. “Y/N, my point is that you should take that chance and-”
“WE’RE BACK!” Bruce exclaimed, walking in the room with Barry following behind him.
“Wonderful. Bruce, do you think I could talk to you for a minute?” Diana asked, smiling at Bruce.
“Of course.”
As they were walking out of the room, Diana turned around and winked at you.
“Hey,” you muttered.
“Hey.”
There was a long pause before you both spoke up. “So I was thinking-”
“You first.”
“No, you go.”
“Okay,” Barry paused. “So, I was wondering if you maybe wantedtogotothemovieswithmethisSaturday?”
You looked at him for a few seconds in confusion. “W-what?”
“I was-I was wondering if you wanted to go to the movies with me this Saturday?” He mumbled, looking at the ground.
“Like-like a date?”
“I mean, yeah. O-only if you want it to be a date, though. It doesn’t have to be if-” You cut him off by gently pressing your lips against his.
The kiss was over about as quick as it happened, but for Barry it felt like forever.
“So I’m gonna take that as a yes?”
“Yes, Barry Allen. I would love to go on a date with you.”
You both smiled at each other, leaning in for another kiss.
“FINALLY!”

My Hero
A/N: Oh my goodness another Barry Allen fic!
Request: from @avengers-and-jedis “GOSH YOUR BARRY ALLEN FIC WAS ADORABLE! Can you write one with an artist!reader! (Ezra’s Barry please) Thank you!” Thank you so much! This was an amazing idea and I’m so glad you requested it! Remember if you have a request to send it!
Pairing: Barry Allen/The flash x reader
Description: You just need inspiration for your next piece. That’s when your boyfriend, Barry, comes to save the day.
Warnings: Swearing, like always
You sighed in frustration and threw your pencil at the wall. Groaning, you put your forehead on your desk. “This is so stupid...” you muttered to yourself, closing your eyes.
There was a knock at the apartment door. You stood up and walked out of your office, opening up the door. There stood your boyfriend, anxiously waiting with his hands behind his back.
“Hey babe,” you said, smiling up at him.
“Hey,” he replied, putting an arm around your waist. He pulled you into him and kissed your forehead.
You sighed and put your head on his chest.
“What’s wrong?”
“You know that art project I have to do for class?”
“Yeah.”
“Well it’s due in a week and I haven’t even started it.”
“Oh.” Barry frowned. He knew how important this project was. It would determine if you passed or not.
“Yeah, I guess I just haven’t found the inspiration for it yet,” you mumbled.
You walked into your apartment and sat down on your couch, Barry sitting next to you. You put your head on his shoulder and closed your eyes. He put an arm around your waist and put his head on yours.
“This is so frustrating.”
“You need any help?”
“No, it’s fine. I guess I’ll just fail the class,” you paused. “I’m not even that good of an artist anyways.”
Barry lifted up his head and turned to look at you. He put a hand on your cheek and made you look at him.
“That’s not true.”
“Well...” you whispered, your voice trailing off.
“Y/N, you’re one of the most talented people I know. You may be the most talented person I know. Just because you don’t have inspiration for this project doesn’t make you a bad artist. I promise you’re going to get an A, and you’re going to pass this class,” he told you, smiling.
“Thanks,” you sighed, leaning in and lightly pressing your lips to his. You smiled into the kiss. You may have finally found an idea for your project.
-----
A week later, you handed in your project to your professor.
“This is amazing, Miss L/N,” she told you, admiring your art. “You wouldn’t mind if I put this in tomorrow night’s art contest, would you?”
You smiled. “No, not at all.”
She smiled back. “Wonderful, I’ll see you then.”
-----
“Barry, come on!” You yelled, anxiously tapping your foot. “We’re gonna be late!”
Just then, your boyfriend walked out of your room, putting on his jacket. “Okay, I’m here.”
“You know, for being the fastest man alive, I would’ve expected you to find your jacket a lot sooner,” you snickered, looking at him.
“Oh, well I’m sorry I couldn’t find the jacket you stole from me.”
“Well, I’m sorry it’s so comfortable,” you giggled, sticking out your hand. “Now, come on, before we really are late.”
He grabbed your hand and intertwined your fingers. “Whatever you say, babe.”
You both walked out of your apartment building and into the cold December night. You knew you only had to walk a few blocks to get to the art contest, but damn it was cold.
Barry saw you shiver and threw his arm over your shoulder. “You know, we could get there a lot quicker if-”
“No, Barry,” you said, cutting him off. “You’re not allowed to use your super speed.”
“Damn.”
You giggled and kissed his cheek. “We’re almost there, anyway.”
Barry smiled to himself as the two of you crossed the street. You walked down the sidewalk in silence until the faint sound of classical music could be heard. As you turned the corner, hundreds of people came into view.
You smiled to yourself as Barry removed his arm from your shoulder.
“Y/N!” You heard someone shout as you turned around. Your best friend, Angelica (sorry if that’s your name, just change it I guess), came running up to you. She jumped into you, throwing her arms around your neck. “You made it! Took you long enough.”
“Sorry.”
“Doesn’t matter. They’re announcing the winners of the art contest in ten minutes!” She yelled, grabbing your wrist. “We have to go see who won!”
You looked back a Barry and gave him an apologetic look before Angelica pulled you away from him.
Angelica pulled you to the area where they had all the art out. You smiled to yourself, seeing your professor standing next to your painting. She looked at you and waved, indicating she wanted to talk.
You walked up to her and smiled. “Mrs. Smith! Thank you so much!”
“Oh, it’s not a problem, dear! You are an amazing artist, after all.”
You blushed and looked at the ground. “Well, I wouldn’t say amazing...”
“Nonsense! You’re one of my best students! You have such an amazing talent, I’m surprised you haven’t won some kind of award! Speaking of which-”
“All art contest judges are needed at the judging table,” said a voice over the speakers.
“Oh, that’s me! I’m so sorry. I hope you have a wonderful night!” She waved and walked off, leaving you alone. You decided to go find Angelica again since she managed to wander farther away from you than expected.
As you were walking through the crowds of people, you ran into someone. You stumbled backward and would’ve fallen if they hadn’t caught you.
“Oh my god I’m so sorry I didn’t-”
You looked up and saw your boyfriend rambling with such an apologetic look on his face. You giggled and stood up, leaning forward and setting your lips on his.
“You should really watch where you’re going, Barry.”
He looked at you with admiration in his eyes before he wrapped his arms around your waist. “You’re one to talk, L/N.”
He pressed his lips to yours and you smiled. Leaning into the kiss, you ran a hand through his hair.
“We are now announcing the winners of the art show!” The same voice as before said.
You pulled away from Barry. “That’s my cue.”
You grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the crowd around the judging table.
“I would like to thank everyone for coming out tonight!” Mrs. Smith began. “I am amazed at all the artwork that was put in the contest! Sadly, only one of you can get first. I would like to congratulate that award to...”
“...Miss Y/N L/N!”
You threw your hands up to cover your mouth in excitement. Barry looked at you with the widest grin on his face. “That’s you, babe.”
You slowly started to walk up towards the judging table.
“Congratulations, Miss, L/N,” Mrs. Smith said, handing you your trophy and painting.
“Thank you.” You smiled and walked up to her, wrapping your arms around her and pulling her into a hug. “Thank you, so much.”
“No problem, dear.”
You heard everyone around you clapping, but all of it drowned out with the pounding sound of your heartbeat.
-----
After the crowd cleared, you ran towards Barry.
“I won!” You exclaimed as you jumped into him.
“I know. I was there.” He smirked and wrapped his arms around your waist as you jumped up and wrapped your legs around his. “I’m proud of you.”
“I couldn’t have done it without you, Barry.”
“Why’s that?”
“Well,” you began, resting your forehead on his. “You were my inspiration.”
He gave you a questionable look.
“I painted you, Barry. I painted you and that god damn award winning smile.”
“I’m flattered.”
You giggled and gently pecked his lips. “I wouldn’t have won that award without you. You’re really a hero, Barry. You’re my hero.”
-----
That felt rushed and was probably trash but I hope you liked it!

–-
The next morning, Barry was up before I was. It felt strange, like a one night stand. Without the actual sex, that is. Regardless, I was in the Cortex as Barry and Wally were getting ready to race around the city.
I was calling my former Captain back in Star City (I thought it was Starling City, too, but apparently they rebranded or some thing now that Ollie’s the Mayor ?¿? Mandela effect *-* ¿), Frank Pike. Man, was he upset I didn’t call sooner. I was explaining my situation to him, trying to stay calm and relaxed.
“Cisco, you good?” Barry’s voice came from the monitor.
“Ladies and gentlemen, the Central City Speedster 500 is about to begin. But first, I’ve got six-to-one odds. Barry takes down Wally. Any takers?” I heard Cisco say.
“Yes, sir. Of course I understand–” I kept trying to get through Pike’s head.
“–we’re betting?” I managed to hear H.R. say.
“Sir, it’s just, I was working for you for almost 5 years–yes, sir, I did disappear, but in my defense, I was struck my lightning–and I was the best you had” I tried reasoning.
“Put me down for 20 for Barry” Iris said.
I looked up at Cisco and snapped my fingers. He noticed and I started making hand signals. Indicating I was also betting on Barry.
He mouthed the words ‘how much?’ and I mouthed back 'hundred’. He raised his eyebrows and nodded in approval.
“Damn, girl” He continued taking everyone’s bet.
“Sir, if you let me go now, I promise you, you’ll never have anyone as hardworking and committed as me” I pleaded with my him. I pinched the bridge of my nose and hoped for the best. I heard Pike sigh heavily.
“Oh yes! Pay up” Iris said with a smile.
I looked over and realized Barry had already won. Jeez, this call was taking longer than I expected. The line on the other end was quiet for a minute. I started to think Pike had just hung up. Then, he spoke.
“Queen, you’re not wrong about being one of our best. Your work is truly magnificent. You will be transferred to Central City Police Department as soon as possible”
I almost squealed right there. For a second there I didn’t think it would work.
“T-Thank you so much, sir! I promise I won’t disappoint–!” Everyone turned to me as my tone changed to a much happier one.
“Don’t thank me yet. You start today, an hour. Get your things and be on your way. Report to Captain David Singh as soon as possible”
“Wait–I’m sorry–d-did you just say an hour?! I know you said soon, sir, but–”
“No 'but’s, Queen, if you want to keep doing what you’re doing, you’ll do as I say. Got it?” I swallowed hard as he scolded me.
“Y-Yes, sir” I heard him sigh through the other end.
“Look, kid, this isn’t easy for me either, but things are tough around here, and it’d be a hell of a lot easier with you here” I could hear his frustration through the phone.
“Sir, with all due respect, you’ve done fine without me for two years. Having me around won’t make any difference. I-I think a new start is what I need. Trust me, sir” my voice dropped down to almost a whisper.
“God, (Y/n), what am I going to do with you?” He chuckled, “You Queens are gonna drag my ass down”
“It’s what we do” I joked.
“Yeah, well tell that brother of yours I said 'hi’,”
“Will do, thank you, Captain”
“My pleasure”
I hung up. I looked at my phone unbelievably. I let out a shaky laugh and looked up. I noticed everyone staring at me, waiting for me to say something.
I quickly texted Oliver.
‘Pike says hi’
My phone dinged. God, Oliver was fast.
’oml’
There was a gush of wind & lightning then Barry and Wally were back. I made sure everyone was settled down before I spoke. I give an unsure smile before speaking.
“I have now officially transferred to CCPD” My voice was shaky.
The reactions around the room varied, but they were mostly happy, as I hoped they’d be. Cisco looked at me like a proud mom. Caitlin was surprised, but glad. Joe congratulated me with a reassuring smile.
Wally smiled in my direction, I assumed he was happy I’d stay longer. H.R.’s eyes widened and he threw his drumsticks to the air in celebration. Iris seemed as to be speechless and Barry was ecstatic.
“Seriously?” He came up to hug me, a huge grin on his face.
“Yeah” I laughed as I hugged back.
“Does that mean you’re staying?” He whispered full of hope.
“I’d never leave you, Barry Allen” I smiled before pulling away, “I was really scared I wouldn’t be able to transfer, but here I am”
“I told you you’d be fine. You’re the best” he smiled adorably and I shoved him playfully.
“Shut up, I have to report to Captain Singh in like an hour, so I have to go” I started gathering my stuff before Barry stopped me.
“Hey, fastest man alive, right here, ya know?” He pointed at himself.
“Yeah, well from what I’ve heard, you have a tendency to be late regardless of said fact” I threw a teasing smile at him before frowning.
“Hey, anyone else hungry or is that just me?” I questioned before walking out of the cortex room.
Joe and I arrived at Luigi’s not too long after stopping at CCPD. We walked in and saw Julian and Barry already examining a body.
“Hey guys, this one is, uh–” Barry tried finding the words.
Oh, God.
“–pretty ghastly. Detectives, I warn you” Julian says as we reach them.
Barry’s voice.
“What the hell,” I said as I uncovered the decomposing body.
“That’s the body?” Joe asks.
“Yeah, why?” Responds Barry.
His voice–it’s really husky and hot.
“He died less than eight hours ago” I answered and Julian turned to me.
“Eight hours?” He asked.
“He was a chef here, Stuart Holzman, and the owner confirmed that he was working last night” Joe explained whilst I took a closer look at the body.
“Huh,” Julian looked at me and I shrugged. “That’s a lot of damage in a short amount of time,” Barry observes.
Is this his work voice?
“We thinking it’s a meta?”
“Maybe it’s a meta?”
Joe and I spoke at the same time. We looked at each other and frowned before laughing softly.
“It may be a meta, although certain chemicals can cause similar reactions” said Julian.
“Yeah, any acid–” Barry started.
“–with a pH below two, that’s right” I finished, remembering it from an old case.
You can seduce me any time you’d like, Mr. Forensics.
“Precisely, Ms. Queen” Julian answers, “We could be looking for an aggressive variant necrotized fasciitis”
“A flesh-eating disease” Barry concluded. “That’s gross” I said.
But his tone isn’t.
“In a restaurant?” Joe rushed out, “I’m never eating out again”
“Okay, so an autopsy might help us hone in on what really did this” Barry suggested.
I need to stop.
“Yes, I agree,” Julian said, “unfortunately County denied my request for a 3D image medical scanner, which would make short work of the process”
“–Okay, well, we have one at S.T.A.R. Labs” Barry interrupted.
He’s the one who needs to stop talking like that.
“Allen, this is an active case,” Julian shot at him, “there is protocol to follow”
Julian looked up at me and Joe. We both looked at each other and shrugged.
“Surely?” Julian looked back at Barry.
“Not if we’re gonna figure this out” Barry told him.
Why does he do this to me.
“Okay, I’ll bag the body myself and meet you there” Julian said.
“Great” answered Barry as he stood up.
I stared as Joe and Barry left the restaurant. I turned back to Julian. Then to the body. And back to Julian.
“Does he always sound that hot when working on a case?” I asked him, straight faced, “Or just when he’s concentrated, because, God, I can’t tell if that was adorable or if I’m just turned on by him. Either way, I’m smitten”
“What?” His eyes widened and he frowned. “–What?” My face was still blank.
“Did you say–”
“I–what–no–” I overlapped his sentence.
“–something?”
“–I didn’t–did you?” I finished by shaking my head and frowning.
There was a moment of awkward silence. He was just staring at me. I figured he was trying to find out whether I was serious or not. After a few seconds I couldn’t help but let out an awkward laugh.
“Bloody hell, (Y/n)” he trailed off with a small smile.
“I-” I bit my lip, trying to contain my laughter, “-nope”
“Just help me get the body back to S.T.A.R. Labs, will you?” He tried remaining serious.
“Yeah, yeah” I teasingly rolled my eyes.
“Okay–no. I’ve literally never heard him speak in that tone”
I argued with Julian as we entered S.T.A.R. Labs. We had Stuart’s body bagged and on a bed with wheels so it was easily transportable.
“He always speaks like that!” Julian laughed at me.
“Who always speaks like what?” Cisco pokes his head out at us as we walked by the Cortex. I motioned them to follow Julian and I.
“Barry speaking in this really low voice” I answered, “Oh, and Caitlin, would you mind doing an autopsy for our Stuart friend here?”
I spoke as I motioned to the body. We entered the med bay and Julian and I moved into the pathology room. Which also doubled as the operating room and so on and so on.
“I’d be honored” Caitlin said.
Julian and I centered the body in the middle of the room before returning out to Cisco and Caitlin.
“Actually, I think I’ll be fine on my own” Julian argued.
“Shut up for a second, Julian, and just listen to what I have to say for once,” I joked. “We are here, not only to start the autopsy soon, but to open and close this case once and for all”
Cisco and Caitlin looked at me suspiciously. Eagerly waiting for me to tell them what this so-called case was all about.
“You two may have heard Julian and I arguing when we first arrived–”
“It’s hard not to” Wally pointed out as he entered the room.
“Ah, more witnesses, yes. Well–we were arguing about how hot Barry sounded this morning–”
“I didn’t know you swung that way, Julian?” Cisco jokingly asked.
“We were arguing about the tone he speaks everyday, not how hot he sounded” Julian told his side, “and if I did swing that way, that’s none of your business, Ramon”
“Hard not to when you guys are all so good looking” I teasingly said with a wink and everyone else gave a smile.
“Anyways, I was just telling Julian how much deeper Barry’s voice sounds when he’s at work, which I just happened to find attractive” I shrugged.
“Which I answered to with: Barry always sounds like that and sounds more depressing than anything” Julian narrowed his eyes, pretending to think.
“That’s what this is all about?” Asked Wally with a laugh.
“Hey, just hear me out guys!” I continued as everyone teased me, “When I met Barry roughly two years ago, he was a small little bean with big big dreams”
The room filled with laughter as the conversation went on.
“Barry was anything but that when we first met” Julian said and I argued.
“Yeah, well, Barry was literally the cutest thing when we met. Even now he always speaks to me with a happy tone. Just his normal speaking voice.
"When I walked through that restaurant not even an hour ago, I had no idea what was in store for me. I don’t know if it was the crime scene, or the urgency of it, or the acceleration of me being here, but his voice definitely does not usually sound like that.
"It was like he was a totally different person and I cannot deny his voice really turned me on” I laughed in embarrassment, but, luckily for me, they all laughed because they thought it was funny.
“You’re literally so screwed, (Y/n)” Julian shook his head, laughing. “Can’t disagree with Julian there” said Cisco.
My face fell as I realized what they were talking about. Iris and Barry. And Savitar, too. I internally groaned before laughing a humorless laugh.
“Yeah, yeah, Iris and Barry,” I answered, “I admit, it’s not the best situation to be in, but let me have my moments and I’ll let you have yours” I smiled awkwardly at them all.
Wally smiled warmly at me as he shook his head jokingly. Julian and Cisco were still giggling like school girls about my little 'moment’ as I had called it. Caitlin rubbed my shoulder apologetically while giving me a small smile.
I pushed my hair back as I sat down in one of the white chairs. Caitlin and Julian went to go get ready for the autopsy. The rest sat down, and as we waited we joked around as best as we could. H.R. joined in, too.
Soon, Julian and Caitlin were ready and entered the pathology room. We all stood up from our chairs, eager to find out what had happened to poor Stuart Holzman. Barry quickly joined us.
“You think this is what it’s like to be a character on CSI?” Asked Cisco and I hummed in response.
“What do they hope to gain from that examination?” H.R. questioned pointing at Caitlin and Julian with his drum stick.
I looked at him in disbelief. Does he seriously not know what an autopsy was? Well, I guess not everyone would know. Either way it made me uneasy. Barry started answering H.R.
“They’re trying to find the exact cause of death. Once we know that, we’ll have a better idea of what we’re dealing with,” Barry looked over to Wally, “But until then, we need to train”
Wally’s eyes lit up like a Christmas tree.
“I’m going to teach you everything I know, starting with phasing” Barry told him.
“Yes, finally!” Wally praised Barry.
“Wait, I wanna see,” I interrupted, “You guys mind if I sit in?”
“Not at all” Barry said with a smile.
“Oh! Yes, please! You’ll get to see me in action!” Wally smiled at me and I laughed.
“I just have to make a few calls first” I told Wally, his smile didn’t falter a bit.
“Calls?” Barry frowned at me.
“Yeah, I’m actually looking at some apartments,” I explained myself, “You know, so I don’t have to stay here all the time. I mean, no offense but this isn’t exactly a five-star hotel” I mused.
“But don’t worry Wally,” I looked at Wally, “they won’t take long. I just need to double check with the apartment guy,” I rambled on, “I’m heading over later today to check out a couple places and I need to make sure I get there on time.”
“No problem,” he enthusiastically told me, “as long as you finally see me run–maybe even phase!”
“Don’t get too cocky now” Barry joked in a not-so teasingly way. Wally could care less, him still gleaming, but I narrowed my eyes and frowned a bit at Barry.
“You know what we should do?” Asked H.R., “We should concoct some simulations to help Wallace learn this new skill” he turned to Cisco.
“What do you say, Francisco?”
“I got one word for you: quebracho” Cisco responded.
“Let’s go!” Said Barry.
“Quebracho!”
After securing a time with the apartment guy, I walked into the room everyone else was at. Barry, Cisco, and H.R. stood watching Wally run laps. I stared at the yellow lightning in amazement. Then, Wally came down and ran to the wooden wall. He crashed into it and everyone else gasped.
“Oh, Christ” I said.
“That hurt like–” Wally started.
“Like you ran into a giant wooden wall? Cause you did” H.R. told him.
My walkie-talkie made a static sound, I listened in as best as I could.
“And it’s not just any wooden wall,” Cisco told him, “that’s double-reinforced Quebracho”
“Hey, uh, guys?” I looked up at them, “I’m sorry, Wally, but I gotta go, crime scene.”
I pointed at my wallow-talkie and grabbed Barry’s arm before dragging us out of there. I saw Wally’s face drop from frustration to disappointment.
“I’ll be back! You can do it, Wally! Good luck! Just–try like–vibrating I don’t know!” I did my best to motivate him.
I heard a muffled 'thank you’ as we walked out.
“Hey, slow down, you know I can just run us there?” Barry stopped me.
“You sure you won’t stop at Jitters for a snack and make us late again?” I teased him.
“Yes, I’m sure” he teased me back, “besides, you’re the one who wanted to try my drink, I just grabbed a snack while we were there”
“Hey! For your information 'The Flash’ was very delicious and I’m glad I got a taste of you,” I winked at him and he turned a rosy color.
“Just hop on my back and let’s go” he laughed.
I smiled excitedly and motioned for him to bend down. I hopped on and he told me to hold on before running off, with me on his back, giggling like a child.

I stormed to the place I’d be living in until my life got back on track. I could hear Barry’s footsteps behind me. I walked into my room and slammed the door like a moody teenager.
I felt a gush of wind and my hair slammed my face. I moved it out of my face and looked up at Barry’s tall frame.
“I keep forgetting you’re a super hero” I cross my arms.
“(Y/n), I’m sorry”
“Yeah, you better be, now explain” I took a step towards him, waiting.
“When I threw the philosopher stone into the speed force, something happened” he began and I hummed in satisfaction.
My satisfaction, however, disappeared when Barry took a step back and looked down. I swallowed hard and cleared my throat.
“But you said you got rid of it–you did get ride of it, right?”
“I-I’m not sure”
“Not sure? How can you be not sure?”
“When I threw the stone … I-I was thrust into the future”
“ … the future?” He nodded, “W-What’d you, uh, see?” I asked cautiously.
“Savitar” he looked at me before quickly looking away. His face portrayed guilt.
“Is that all?” I was trying not to push it, but apparently I wasn’t trying hard enough because next thing I knew Barry was snapping at me.
“(Y/n)–Savitar had you and Iris! He told me to chose one of you to save, I couldn’t do it and you both died! You both die because of me, (Y/n)! I wasn’t fast enough! Not now–not ever!” There were tears streaming down his face.
I was in shock. How do you react to that kind of news? I couldn’t speak, I couldn’t move. My breath was suddenly gone and it was getting hard to breath. Everything around me was blurring.
I didn’t know where I was. I didn’t know what was happening. I couldn’t breath. I was scared. My vision became blurry. I knew this feeling too well. I was having a panic attack.
I could hear the faint sound of someone calling my name. I felt the ground and the wall. I don’t know where I am. Where am I? What’s happening? Why–?
“(Y/n)!”
Then, I see green eyes staring at me. I’m confused before trying to take in the rest of their face.
“B-Barry?”
“Hey, are you okay?”
He asks and I lose him again. His face is gone and I feel him fade away.
“Barry?” I was horrified he’d left me.
“Hey–hey, I’m right here” he grabs my hands and places them on his face. I take in his features. His eyes, nose, mouth, eyebrows, all of him.
I feel tears stream down my cheeks and look around. I still don’t know where I am and I’m losing Barry at the thought of it.
“(Y/n), hey, my beautiful girl. Come on, stay with me” he turns me to face him, “look, (Y/n), I’m right here, okay? Focus on me”
I take him in again before he takes me into his arms and cradles me.
“Breath with me, come on, you can do this” he starts taking slow deep breaths and I attempt to follow. I choke back a sob and realize I’m crying.
“(Y/n), you got this, come one. Inhale” he breaths in and I do the same, “exhale” he we both breath out, my breaths shaky and uneven.
We go on like this for several more minutes. I lost track a long time ago. Until I’m calm enough to think straight. But I continue to cry on Barry’s chest. He whispers soft and sweet things into my ears.
“I’m sorry” my voice was hoarse and quiet.
“Hey, hey, hey–don’t be sorry. It’s ok” he gently grabs my chin with one hand, “it’s ok”
He hugs me and I take in my surroundings. We’re on the ground, up against the wall. I was shaking and I realized tears were streaming down my face.
“It’s just–” I pulled away, “I haven’t had a panic attack in so long, but I guess the two year coma took a toll on me. I’m really sorry.
“It was just, a lot of information all at once. But I’ll be fine don’t worry” I wiped away at my face and leaned my head back against the wall.
“It’s not your fault, you don’t have to be sorry. And telling me not worry just worries me” he cupped one of my cheeks and gently wiped my tears.
“Sorry” the tears intensified and Barry gave a soft smile.
“You know, I used to get them too” he confessed and I frowned.
“Really?”
“Yeah–they suck,” we both laughed quietly, “but it’s over now, ok? You’re ok. It’s ok”
After that, everything was sort of a blur. We somehow ended up on my small bed, on opposite sides of it, facing each other. It reminded me of the train we took when I first got here.
We started talking, about personal things, stupid secrets, and silly confessions. Anything, really. Just enjoying each other’s company.
All while me still recovering from my panic attack. I don’t know what I would’ve done if he wasn’t still here. I was afraid he’d leave any minute now and I’d go back to psyching myself out.
“Hey, uh, I don’t mean to pry, but earlier,” I cleared my throat, “y-you ca-called me your, um, beautiful girl?” I saw him blush and start scratching at the back of his neck.
“Y-Yeah, it’s a-actually something my m-mom used to do–to calm me down, or, uh, just talk to me” he looked down, tears welling in his eyes, “she called me her beautiful boy, thought I might give it a, uh, s-shot”
I scooted closer to him and took his hand in mine. I stroked it in attempt to comfort him. I awkwardly thanked him and he blushed.
“It’s no problem”
“No, I mean–thanks, really. For everything”
God, I felt like a teen again. With some silly high school crush.
“Like I said, it’s no problem”
I felt more tears rush down my cheeks. I brought my knees up to my chest and hugged them. Barry reacted instantly and came over to hug me.
“Hey, hey. What’s wrong?”
“I don’t belong here, Barry” I told him as my breathing became shallow.
“(Y/n), listen to me” he turned my hear to face him, “it’s okay, it’s all okay, I’m here, okay?”
I nodded, but the tears kept coming. Barry rubbed my arm soothingly and kissed the top of my head.
“You belong here, (Y/n). Here. Alive. With me. Alright, my beautiful girl?”
For the rest of the night Barry whispered soothing thoughts to me. I cried and let it all out. He told me it was ok to cry. Before I knew it, I fell asleep, but not before I heard Barry tell me one last thing.
“I love you”
