Shut Up
Pairing- Barry Allen x Reader
Warnings- Fluff
âSoâŠâ Barry said as we stopped in front of my apartment building. âY/N. Um....â Barry gave a nervous laugh as he scratched the back of  his neck. âI was wondering, like if you wanted to, you donât have to, I mean I donât want to pressure you, I really like you and I donât want you to feel-â
I cut Barry off, âFirst off, shut up. Second, yes.â
âYes?â Barry asked.
âYes I will go out with you, Barry Allen,â I said, smiling.
âGreat,â he said. âGreat. Okay, I look forward to this date. Iâll plan everything, you donât have to worry. Iâll give you a time and a date. Itâll be great, you wonât regret it.â
âI know I wonât regret it,â I told Barry. I kissed him on the cheek. âIâll see you tomorrow at work.â
âOkay, bye. Bye Y/N.â
âBye Barry.â
As I went inside, Barry smiled to himself. He had a date with me.

Flash Imagine
Disclaimer: I donât own the flash.
âHeâs...that canât be..â You stood before Barry, Caitlin and Cisco.Â
All of them looked on with solemn eyes. You could see the pain reflected in Barryâs eyes. The man who mentored him, was the same person responsible behind the death of his mother. You felt sick to your stomach. The man you kissed, the man you loved, was a narcissistic sociopath. If all three of them believed it then it had to be true.Â
âJoe found the body of Harrison Wells, the real one. âÂ
You took a step back and Barry raced to your side when you almost fell over. He held you against his body, staring down at you in regret. You were crying now, clutching your head.Â
âH-How did I not see it! All those days I spent with him. I was so stupid!!âÂ
âIâm sorry (Y/N).â He was the one that lost his parents because of that monster and he was apologizing to you. You hugged him close, clutching unto his body. âWeâll get through this (Y/N), believe that. âÂ
~~
After the shocking discovery, Barry offered to drop you home. You were in no shape to be on your own. You knew it was selfish, but you didnât feel safe. Barry understood, he promised to stay with you until you fell asleep. When you entered your apartment you tossed the keys on the table. Your eyes were still burning from all the tears you shed that day. Barry walked in behind you.Â
âIs there anything you need, a burger maybe?â you shook your head at his question.Â
âIâm fine, donât really have much of any appetite. â Barry was worried. Harrison was his teacher, someone he trusted, but to you he was so much more.Â
Finding out your lover was a murderer wasnât exactly the easiest thing to wrap your head around. This would be embedded in you forever. The worst thing was not being able to trust your own heart. You were just standing there gazing at the wall.Â
(Y/N) listen you have to-â you gasped when you saw a spark of yellow flash across your view. You panicked when Barry was no longer standing in with you. You spun around in fear. He was nowhere in sight.Â
âB-Barry!!â your eyes were darting around the room. When the light reappeared you almost stopped breathing.Â
âMiss me?â the yellow suited speedster asked. He pulled his cowl off and you trembled when you saw his face. At the back of your mind you hoped they were wrong, but with him standing before you now, wearing the face of Harrison Wells, you knew it was true.Â
âW-What did you do to Barry!!â you demanded. He stepped closer and you rushed for your phone. You tried dialing Cisco or Caitlin. You didnât even have a chance to touch a button. The phone was out of your grasp and Eobard was directly in front of you. Your entire body froze when he threw it over his shoulder.Â
âBarry is otherwise occupied. I just wanted to have a little free time with you (Y/N).â you didnât move, or breathe for a good few seconds. Terrified that the simplest movement would trigger him. âNo need to be so stiff, Iâd never hurt you. â Those eyes, the ones you stared into for so many months. You werenât sure if he was toying with you. You couldnât trust yourself anymore.Â
âI love you (Y/N).â your breath hitched. You padded backwards about to run off. You didnât want to hear this, you couldnât. He was lying. In a matter of seconds you were braced up on the wall. He pinned your wrists above your head, locking you in place. He clicked his tongue.Â
âThatâs rather rude to run off after my confession.â you seethed.Â
âYou bastard you donât care about anyone but yourself!! Youâre just trying to trick me, do you think Iâm really that stupid!!â he smirked. âOf course not.â The smugness in his tone just made you want to break down, but you forced yourself not to. You wouldnât cry, not in front of him.Â
He leaned closer, pressing a kiss to your neck and you whimpered, trying to free yourself from his grip. âDonât tell me you havenât missed this, my hands on your body..â one of his hands loosened, going down your shoulder, to your stomach, passed your hip. You forced your legs closed when you caught unto what he was doing.Â
âMy lips on your skin..â he whispered at the junction of your neck. You struggled more and it just made him laugh. âP-Please..â you were begging. There wasnât more you could do. His eyes moved back to your own. This time there was no malice in them. You could have been wrong but you swore you could make out a hint of regret. âI am sorry that things turned out this way..â he leaned in slowly and you stiffened when he pressed his lips to your own in a soft kiss. You shut your eyes tightly, trying to banish the familiarity behind his taste. You couldnât enjoy this, he was the enemy. You didnât respond at first, still trying to keep up what little dignity you had left. It was starting to become too hard for you to resist. You leaned into it, body no longer fighting. When he felt you press into him he pulled back.Â
When your eyes connected he looked dark. His body started to vibrate and the demonic red returned to his eyes. âYou were nothing more than a distraction.â your eyes widened and you took you awhile to register the pain that was now coursing through your abdomen. You looked down with shaky eyes, watching his vibrating hand that was plunged into your stomach, you looked back at him in disbelief. He pulled his hand out and you slumped against the wall, sliding down as his hands let you go altogether. You sat there letting out shallow breaths.Â
âYou no longer have any use.â Those were the last words he said before he was gone. You sat against the wall, blood pouring out of the gaping wound in your stomach. The tears you fought so hard to keep at bay spilled. You stayed there leaned against the wall, waiting for death to take you. When another flash of light came into view you barely responded.Â
(Y/N)!!â It was Barry, his clothes were basically in shreds, but he was alive. He was okay. You smiled at him weakly. âBarry..â you mumbled out. He staggered over to you.Â
âNo donât do this donât die!!â Barry was frantic. You just shook your head. You hand reached up, touching his cheek. âItâs fine..Barry..â you spoke hoarsely. Your vision was starting to get blurry.
âYouâre not dying, Iâm not going to watch another person die because of him.âÂ
Barry hoisted you into his arms, taking off. You werenât really sure what was happening anymore. Everything was numb, your body, your heart. One thing you knew is that Eobard won. Even if youâd manage to survive this, you wouldnât trust anyone with your heart again.Â

Partners in Crime #1
"Can I help you?"
"Yes, please! Where would I be able to find Mr. Allen?"
"Upstairs, take a left."
"Oh, great! Thank you very much!"Â
(Y/N) hurried up the nearby staircase in search of the man just mentioned.
"Look Joe, I wasn't expecting Iris to find someone while I was in a coma for 9 months. And now, I can't do anything, or I'd be ruining her happiness. And I don't want to be that guy." Nearing the slightly opened door labeled, "Forensic Analyst: Barry Allen" she heard two distinct male voices coming from inside.
"All I'm saying is that if you don't tell her soon, you might just lose your chance forever." The other voice warned, sympathetically.
"I know, I know. I just don't think this is the right time, when they're planning to move in together." The first voice reasoned.Â
Taking a deep breath, (Y/N) knocked on the door three times, to alert them of her presence. "Hello? I hope I'm not interrupting anything." She spoke peeking her head into the doorway.
Inside, she saw two men; one sitting down in a chair, with his face buried in his hands, and the other leaning against the table. They both turned to stare at the new voice in the room.
"Can I help you miss?" The older of the two asked. The other just stared blankly at the her.
"Actually, yes! I'm looking for Mr. Allen? I was supposed to meet him today at 11, but if I'm too early, I can always come back later. I just didn't want to be late for my first day at my new job and I really wanted to make a good impression. And I really didn't mean to intrude on your conversation, I am really sorry if I didâŠ" (Y/N) could not stop her rambling, her anxiety and nervousness taking control. "I can just wait outside in the hallway if yâall arenât done with your-"
"Woah, calm down and take a deep breath," the older man recommended, in amusement. She heaved a big breath in and out, before focusing back on the current situation.
"Sorry about that," she apologized. "I didn't mean to freak out like that, I'm just really nervous and really excited to start my new position here." She was practically bouncing in her spot. Anxiety and excitement was not a good combination, she noted.
"Don't worry about it." With a chuckle, the older man step forward and held out a hand. "I'm Joe West. I work as a detective here at the CCPD; my office is downstairs."
"Very nice to meet you, sir! I'm (Y/F/N) (Y/L/N). I just moved here from Starling City." She replied, shaking his hand.Â
"Starling, really?" Joe asked, the surprise evident on his face.
"Yeah, it's not such a bad city if you get past the bad guys and all that," she shrugged, making it seem like no big deal. "I'm mean sure it's not really safe to walk around at night, and the crime rate is really high. And everyone walks around with pepper spray. Or a taser if you really want to splurge.â Both the menâs eyes widened. âOh, but it's a lot better now because of the Arrow and the other crime-fighting vigilantes/heroes.â She assured them.
"Well, it was nice meeting you Ms. (Y/L/N)."
"Oh please sir, call me (Y/N), or anything else. Ms. (Y/L/N) makes me sound so old."
"Then, in that case, call me Joe and you got a deal." The two nodded in agreement and Joe continued, "If you need anything you can find me downstairs." Nodding to the younger man, Joe left the room closing the door behind him.
The remaining two stared at the door, lost in their own world and thoughts. The man chose to break the silence first.
"I'm Barry, by the way. Nice to meet you (Y/N)."Â
She shook his hand eagerly. "Oh, Mr. Allen! I'm (Y/N) (Y/L/N)! But you already knew that, of course. I'm so sorry to intrude into your room like this, I just was really excited to meet you. And, I normally don't ramble this much, or maybe I do, but I'll try to control it the best I can if it bothers you too much-"
"Breathe (Y/N). And donât worry about it. I tend to ramble a lot too.â He smiled warmly. "And call me Barry. Mr. Allen makes me feel old too, and we seem like we're the same age."
"If you say so Mr. Al-,â Barry rose his brow. âI mean Barry," she corrected herself. "Well, itâs so nice to meet you! I know that you must be really busy, so let me know what you want me to do and I'll be out of your way!"
"Actually, it's been a slow day today since we donât have any cases in investigation at the moment. How 'bout I give you a tour of the station instead?" he suggested, "I mean, if you havenât seen all of it yet."Â
(Y/N)âs eyes lit up at the suggestion, "That would be great! By the way, do you know a good coffee shop near here? I haven't been able to go searching for one with all the moving and chaos."
Barry shot her a smile, while gathering his things. "You know, I was just about to head out, myself, for a cup. I know just the place,"Â
â
(Jitters)
"Could I get an Americano in the biggest size you have?" (Y/N) could see Barry's amused face from her peripheral, "What? I haven't had coffee in, literally, three days."
Barry raised his arms in surrender, "I didn't say anything."
"Yeah, but you thought it."
Barry laughed while she shifted through her purse for her wallet.
"I got this." He assured her, when he saw her take out her card.
"No, I'll buy it, you were the one to show me around."
"Nope. I already got it." He said, handing over his card to the worker.
She sighed in defeat. "Fine, you win this round. But expect an extra large cup of hazelnut mocha on your desk on Monday." (Y/N) forewarned him.
Both smiling, they moved to a nearby table waiting for their order. And before they knew it, their coffees were placed in front of them by a petite woman with a big smile on her face.
"Barry, who's this?"
"Iris! Umm, this is (Y/N), my new forensic analyst partner. (Y/N), this is Iris, my best friend and Joeâs daughter." Barry introduced the two. (Y/N) could see the Barryâs face light up at the woman in front of her.
"Nice to meet you (Y/N)! Are you new to the city? I haven't seen you around before, and I never forget a face."
"I just moved here from Starling a few days ago, actually. The boss has been showing me around the city before we came here." She threw Barry a smile.
"By the way, I'm sorry if I'm being nosy, but are you a model? You look really pretty, which makes me not want to stand next to you." She asked with a sincere look on her face.
"Me? Ha ha, I'm really flattered but sadly no, I'm not. I actually work at the Central City Times and am a part-timer here when free." Iris turned to Barry with a grin. "I like her!"
"Since your new to the city, do you want to hang out sometime, just us girls? I love Barry and all, but I am in dire need of a close girlfriend to talk with. Iâll show you around the best places.â
"Of course! You literally read my mind!" (Y/N)Â nodded enthusiastically. "I have a feeling this is the start of a wonderful friendship!"
During their conversation, she learned about Barryâs relationship with the West family and his recent wake from his 9-month coma. She had only heard of the effects of the particle accelerator explosion from the paper, since no one in Starling was directly affected. And Iris shared about her relationship with Eddie and more about her job at the paper. Eventually, she had to go back to work and gave (Y/N) a friendly hug before returning behind the counter.
"Let me guess. You like her and she doesn't know. And you canât tell her because sheâs already in love with this Eddie guy, and you don't want to ruin your friendship?" (Y/N)âs question snapped Barry out of his lingering stare at Iris working, and he looked at her, embarrassed.
"Is it that obvious?"
"Eh, kind of. Iâm good at noticing things. And I kind of heard the last part of your conversation with Joe earlier when I was about to knock on your door."Â
He sighed. âI've tried telling her multiple times but she always finds a way to change the conversation into one about being like brother and sister and how I should be comfortable with telling her about girls and my nonexistent love life." She could see the sadness in his eyes as he let out another sigh.
(Y/N) leaned over and patted his back in sympathy. "Well, I say it's never too late until she says "I do", so I think you still have time. But man, you were sibling-zoned by her. That's even worse than the friend-zone."
"Well, I think you're wrong." He shook his head in disagreement. "It is too late. I've tried every way to tell her, dropping hints and what not, but she doesn't even have a clue. And even if she did, she hasn't said anything about it. She doesnât think of me anymore than a brother."
"Well, I wish I could help you, friend. But unfortunately, Iâm not Cupid." She looked at him with pity in her eyes.
Suddenly, Barry turned to her, his eyes widening by the second. Seeing his reaction she thought of the worst. "Is it too soon? Should I have said acquaintance instead of friend? Sorry if I got a little ahead of myself."
Barry interrupted her with enthusiasm, "No, that's not it. Of course we're friends. I was reacting to the part about you wanting to help me."
"It's just a figure of speech, I don't really think I should get into the middle of your love life situ-"
"Please?" Barry pleaded. "You're a girl."
"Yes, Barry, I think we've already established that I am a girl. I'm kinda hurt you thought otherwise. I mean, sure I'm not as pretty as Iris, but I don't think Iâm that unattractive to be mistaken for a guy." She continued her stream of consciousness, rambling on. "I mean, Iris is a pretty high standard to meet, but not everyone is pretty like her, Barry. And I'm glad you figured out my gender now before later in the future, or we could've had a pretty awkward situation. I thought having longer hair would be an good indicator of my-"
"(Y/N), stop. You really do really ramble a lot." He grinned. "What I meant was, that you have a mind of a girl, and so you could help me confess to Iris, or at least help her to figure out my feelings for her." He explained, trying to prevent her from rambling again.
"Oh, ha ha ha. I knew that."
"âŠ"
"Okay I didn't, but fine. I'll help you with your unrequited love life since we are friends and because I've been in your shoes. But whatever happens, I refuse to take the blame for it and you better not be mad at me if things don't turn out the way you want."
"Of course." Barry smiled with relief, succeeding in persuading her to help him.
"Well, it was nice talking to you, but I should go home and finish unpacking my stuff. I'll see you Monday, with an extra large cup of hazelnut mocha in hand," she said, getting up from her seat.
"Yeah, sure. See you around partner."
"Bye, partner-in-crime. Ha, get it? Because we help solve crimes. Which is the opposite of what it normally means.âÂ
Barry just shook his head in amusement, as she walked away.
"(Y/N)." Barry called out as she reached for the door.
Turning back, she raised her brow at her new friend..
"By the way, you're pretty too. And whoever that guy was, was an idiot for not liking you back.â
â
A/N: I ramble a lot too. So I really connect with (Y/N) lol. Also, the timeline for this story isnât going to follow the series exactly. Thanks for reading!

Hi Barry, Iâm Y/N
A/N: Hey Iâm back look at that okay bye. Also this is trash but whatever.
Request: No because no one will request anything but if you have a request please send it! Iâm running out of things to write.
Pairing: Barry Allen/The flash x reader
Description: Batmanâs daughter walks in the batcave while Barryâs running around, which may or may not lead to an accident or two.Â
Warnings: Swearing???
So I saw the movie a few days ago and there are a few parts I donât remember so clearly, so if I get anything wrong Iâll fix it as soon as possible. Thanks! (Also this is trash but maybe youâll like it idk???)
Barry was extremely excited to know that Batman wanted him to be apart of his team to defeat Steppenwolf, or whatever his name was. He could barely contain any of that excitement at all. He knew he should have been listening to what the othersâ were saying, but exploring the batcave was way more important at the moment.Â
âHey, kid,â Bruce said. âWatch where youâre going. If you break anything, Iâm suing your ass.â
âBe nice, heâs just excited. Youâre rich, anyways,â Diana said, walking up to Bruce.Â
âThatâs very true.âÂ
Everyone was sitting down (except for Barry, obviously) when you came in.Â
âHey, dad,â you said, walking through the door. âI was wondering if-â
It happened so fast it was almost like you couldnât have felt the impact. Someone ran into you, at an abnormally fast speed.Â
You tumbled backwards and almost slammed into the wall behind you before someone grabbed your arm and pulled you into them.Â
âI am so, so sorry. I didnât see you walk in and I wasnât paying attention and-â
You blinked and looked up into dark brown eyes. âNo, itâs okay. That was my fault.â
âNo, that was mine. Are you okay? Did I hurt you at all? Please donât tell me anything is broken.âÂ
âNo, yeah. Iâm fine.â You slowly blinked again, feeling a little dizzy.Â
âHey, kid. Get your hand off my daughter,â Bruce said, walking over with everyone else.Â
âWhat? Oh, yeah. Sorry,â Barry mumbled, letting go of your arm.Â
Diana cleared her throat. You turned your head to look at her.Â
âDiana?âÂ
âHello, Y/N.â
You walked forward and opened you arms, enveloping her in a hug. âItâs so good to see you.â
âItâs lovely to see you as well.â
A wave of dizziness ran over you and you leaned into Diana. âAre you alright?â She asked, putting a hand on your forehead to make sure you werenât sick.Â
You nodded, closing your eyes and leaning into Diana more.Â
Bruce looked at you and then at Barry. âKid, I swear to God if you gave her a concussion or anything-â
âBruce,â Diana acknowledged. âIt was an accident. Y/N, dear, can you look at me?â
You opened your eyes and looked in Dianaâs brown ones. She noticed one pupil was slightly larger than the other, and how you kept blinking very slowly.Â
âShe definitely has a concussion. We need to get her to the hospital.âÂ
âI-Iâll do it,â Barry mumbled, looking at you.Â
âWhat? Oh, no. Youâre the one that gave her the-â
âBruce!â Diana scolded. âBe quiet. Barry, that would be wonderful. The nearest hospital is a few blocks away, I think.â
âDiana, Iâm not letting the kid-â
âIf we wait any longer it could be worse than a concussion, Bruce. This is the fastest way.â Diana looped an arm under your legs and picked you up, walking over to Barry. You were basically passed out at this point. She put her arms out and Barry put one arm on your back and looped the other one under your legs, just like Diana did. âCall us when you get there.â
He nodded and ran off, almost running into the door on the way out.Â
âWell, that was interesting,â Arthur said, walking away from the group.
-----
Barry found the hospital in about three seconds.Â
He rushed you in (at a ânormalâ pace, of course), and had you at the front desk as soon as possible.Â
âCan I have her name, please?â The lady at the front desk asked.Â
âUh, Y/N. I think.â She looked at Barry suspiciously before putting the name into the computer.Â
âRight. So, what happened?â
âWell, I think she has a concussion. I donât really know what happened, but she was kind of passed out and then it seemed-â Barry lied and rambled on and on and on.
âOkay, slow down. You said she may have a concussion?â
âYes.âÂ
âOkay, thatâs all. Please take her back there,â she pointed to a door. âRoom 137. The doctors will take care of her from there.â
âOkay, thank you.â He rushed to the back room and gave you to one of the doctors. Right after, they pushed him out of the room. He pulled out his phone and called Diana.
âHello?â She answered, not knowing the number.
âHey Diana, itâs Barry. Iâm in the hospital.â
âOh, thatâs good. Is Y/N okay?â She asked.
âI donât really know yet. I think sheâll be okay, Iâm not allowed in the room so I canât tell.â
âOkay, well, make sure-â The connection started acting weird until Barry heard another voice.Â
âKid, I swear if this ever happens again Iâm going to-
âBRUCE!â Barry hung up the phone and sat down in a chair, looking up at the ceiling. He felt so bad for running into you, and he knew it was his fault. He didnât even know you, he only knew you were Bruceâs daughter. He probably ruined all chances at talking to you, too. He thought you were really pretty, and he knew you were probably the only pretty girl he might ever get to talk to.Â
He was so lost in thought he didnât hear the nurse open the door. âMr. Allen, sheâs awake if youâd like to see her.â He nodded and stood up, walking into the room.
You were sitting up on the hospital bed, holding an ice pack to your head. You had a TV remote in your hand and you were looking through all the channels. When Barry walked in, you looked over at him and smiled.Â
âHi.âÂ
âHey,â he said, shifting on his feet awkwardly.Â
âYou know, thereâs no reason to be nervous. I donât bite.â You turned your attention back to the TV, scrolling through the channels again. Barry watched the TV go through channels until it finally stopped at one. Supernatural. You threw the remote to the end of the bed and crossed your legs.Â
Barry slowly walked over to you and sat on the chair next to your bed. He looked at you while your eyes were focused on the TV. You really were pretty. He didnât get to get a good look at you until now.Â
You looked over at him and smiled. âSo, youâre the reason Iâm here from what Iâm guessing.â
âYeah...sorry about that.âÂ
You giggled and looked back at the TV. âItâs nothing really. Iâm a Wayne, I can handle it. Plus, you got me out of school for a week or two.â You looked back a him and leaned back on the bed. âYou know, we never go to properly introduce ourselves. Iâm Y/N.â You swung your feet across the bed and stuck your hand out.Â
âHi Barry, Iâm Y/N,â he said. âWait, no, thatâs not right.â
You giggled and stood up. âNice to meet you, Barry. Thank you, too, for bringing me here and everything.â
âI mean, it wasnât really anything but, no problem.â He stood up next to you.Â
You leaned over and kissed his cheek, grabbing his hand. âCome on. We have to get home before my dad kills me. Or maybe you. I donât really know at this point.âÂ
Barry smiled to himself, picking you up and running out the door. Maybe heâll have a chance with you after all.Â
-----
Yeah that was trash.

Complicated (Prt8) - Barry Allen x Reader
Complicated (Part 8) - Barry Allen x Reader A/N: Lmao rip. Feel free to message me if you have a question, if u would like to know more about the story, or if u just wanna talk lmao. oh also I can never find the perfect gifs đ” Summary: After checking out the new crime scene, things start to get a bit hectic. Disclaimer: Iâve never actually watched Arrow, I apologize for that. If you notice any huge mistakes or gaps, please, message me and let me know. Constructive criticism is encouraged ! Warnings: suggestive themes, cursing, anxiety ig Word count: 2960 more or less hhhhh â
âBody was found by that bicyclistâ Joe turned to the guy then back to the corpse, âSame M.O. as the first one. The victim was performing here last night. Heâs a lounge singer named Julio Mendezâ âJulio Mendez?â Barry inquired, âIn Flashpoint he was Captain Mendezâ âFlashpoint?â I cut in, âLike your parents, Flashpoint? Ramon Industries, Flashpoint?â I paused, âYou and me, Flashpoint?â I raised an eyebrow at Barry. His expression changed as he seemed to remember the time he spent in the alternate timeline. It went from a sheepish look, to one of realization, to one of embarrassment. Barry turned a bright red, and I couldnât help but wonder why. He swallowed hard before coughing. âYeah,â he averted my eyes, âthat Flashpointâ âSo, in Flashpoint, this alternate timeline that you lived in, he worked at the CCPD?â Asked Julian, trying to get rid of the awkward situation Iâd just created. âYeah,â Barry answered him, he thought before speaking again, âWait a second, the other the other vic, Stuart Holzman do we have a photo of him?â âYeahâ âCan I see it?â Barry asked eagerly. âYeah, hold onâ Julian said as he took out a his phone to show Barry a photo. âThatâs himâ Barry said, his face finally turning back to its normal shade. âWhat is it?â âHe was a cop there, tooâ âDamn, cops gettinâ hateâ I added. âSo this is the second dead cop from Flashpoint?â âYeahâ âWe got to figure out who this guy isâ Joe obviously stated. âWell, if we hurry, thereâs still a chance we can get some of the attackerâs residual DNA before this corpse disintegrates, but weâve got to move quickâ Julian said. âWhat are you waiting for, Allen?â I turned and teasingly raised an eyebrow at Barry. âAll right,â he smiled back at me, âcome onâ he said to Julian. There was a whoosh and lightning trail. Before I knew it he was back and had dropped off Julian at S.T.A.R. Labs. âDid anybody see me?â Asked Barry. âDamn, I barely saw youâ Said Joe. âI will never get used to thatâ I said. âLook, we got to get goingâ Joe told Barry, completely excluding me. âWhere you guys heading?â I tried asking nonchalantly, but couldnât help sound a bit jealous. Obviously, I was new here and wouldnât be included in every hang out or get together they had, but that didnât mean I had to be okay with it. I mean, Joeâs a great guy. Everyone here is. The thing is, theyâre great together. Theyâre a family. They know each other. Theyâve all been through so much. Iâm the outsider here, and Iâm making my way in one way or another. âWeâre meeting up with Cecile and her daughter for lunchâ Joe quickly told me and I frowned.
âCecile?â I thought for a second, âWork Cecile?â âUh, yeahââ Joe started, but Barry cut him off. âTheyâve got this thing going,â Barry explained to me, âAnd weâre meeting her daughter for the first timeâ    âOh,â I realized, âOh! Wow, okayâumâwell, good luck I guess. You guys will be fine. Just gotta let your true selves shine for who you are. UmâI guess Iâll see you guys later thenâ I smiled politely at them. âDid you want to do something?â Barry quickly asked me, âBecause I can skip thââ âNo! No, thatâs okayâ I told him, âI was just going to go check out one of the apartmentsââ âApartments?â Joe asked me.    âYeah, Iâm finding a place to stay at. Itâs just that I wasnât sure if Iâd be able to get around the city easily. Iâve literally been here a few weeksâbut I think Iâll be fine! You guys have your lunch thingâ I tried to not show my disappointment, but Barry saw through me. âI can meet Cecileâs daughter another time. Iâll help you get around town, let me justââ âYou are not skipping this lunch, Barryâ Joe firmly told him, â(Y/n) just said theyâd be fine, so letâs get goingâ    Joe motioned for Barry to follow him and started walking off. Barry gave me an apologetic look before shrugging. I gave him a soft smile and a wave. âJitters later?â He said, walking backwards. âJittersâ I nodded.
I watched as he jogged over to Joe. I watched them visibly arguing, even from where I was at. I watched as they bickered about the lunch, or possibly me. I watched as they not-so sneakily turned around to look at me. I watched as they waved at me when they noticed I saw them. I watched as they walked off and disappeared behind a corner.    I watched as they left me alone.
âOf course not, Cisco!â    I walked down the streets of Central City while talking to Cisco on my phone through my earbuds. Which, Cisco had made and designed both items himself. He installed a bunch of apps on the phone including a Meta Human app that could notify me of an attack.    The phone had been waiting for me when I first woke up. Apparently, Cisco had a feeling Iâd be needing a new one and just decided to make me one. I was grateful, but confused as to why he had made me one.    My phone was in my pocket as I spoke through the mic in my earbuds. âWhat? Why not?â Cisco asked on the other line, âIt has an amazing view and was at a good priceâ    âExactly, it was at a good price,â I told him, âuntil that douche bag found out I was loaded with money and raised the price on meâ âBut,â Cisco asked carefully, âare you loaded?â    A lot can happen in two years apparently.    âIââ I sighed, âI-I have s-some money in a bank that wa-as stored for me back when ⊠â I rubbed my temple as I walked, âYes, okay? Iâve kind of been doing my own thing with the whole money situationâ    ââa-and I may have parted some money aside back when,â I dropped my voice, "back when Oliver was running the company,â I groaned, âOf course I took some money, I knew he wouldnât be able to handle it, so, yes! I am, kind of, loaded. Jesus, Iâm such a bad personâ I looked up at the sky as I continued to walk restlessly.    âGirl,â Cisco started his pep talk, âYou were doing what you thought was right at the time. Youâre not your family and that was your money, too. You were being cautious and preparedâ âButââ
âNo butâs. Your family did the best they could and itâs up to them to decide how that goes for them. Now, you have that money for yourself so you can spend it on a nice apartment. Eat a good meal, settle down until you get your life back in check.    "It canât be that much money, right? I mean, what do you have? A couple thousand dollars?â âMore like 6,â I swallowed hard. âThousand? Thatâs nothing. Maybe you shouldâve taken moreââ Cisco tried joking around. âMillionâ I winced as I closed my eyes. â ⊠(Y/n)â Cisco said on the other line.    âItâs not like Oliver wouldâve realized I took anything! Like I said, he did stupid things with his money back then!â I defended myself. âYou are so buying me pizza this weekâ he told me and I gave a weak laugh. âShut up,â I shook my head.    âI just donât understand, you liked the place, why didnât you just buy it?â Cisco asked me in confusion as he referred back to the apartment I was checking out earlier.    âI wasnât going to give the guy selling the satisfaction of winning me over,â I rolled my eyes, âBesides, I have a tendency to buy ridiculous thingsâerâthatâs what my mother used to say anywaysâ I scratched he back of me neck. âDude, video games are not ridiculousâthey are amazingâ Cisco told me and I laughed. âAs great as they can be, I still havenât found a place that I really likeâ I sighed, âAlso, I think Iâm lostâ âKeep walking, another 2 blocks, and youâll find Jitters on your rightâ Cisco informed me.    âReally? Thankââ I stopped myself and stood in place for a second, I opened my mouth to speak, but quickly closed it. I looked around with a frown on my face, âCiscoââ âI may or may not have put a tracker on your phoneâ Ciscoâs voice went up a pitch.    âDude,â I held my hands out in exaggeration and shrugged my shoulders, âdonât put a tracker in my phone without my permissionâ âIt was just for precautionsâ Cisco told me.
âGreat,â I started walking again, hopefully towards Jitters, âI donât think Iâll ever find a placeâ Â Â Â Cisco was quiet on the other end. As I walked, I felt my phone vibrate. I took my phone out and saw it was a message from an unknown number. âYo u think I could help me out later ?â I frowned at the number. Â Â Â âHey, you know, if you donât want to go through the trouble of looking at more apartments, you could just stay with me for a while?â Â Â Â I was taken back by the two suggestions. I was quiet for a moment. Â Â Â âI meanâonly if you want to,â Cisco quickly added, âItâs just that, being here, waking up, missing everythingâit just all seems like so much and I thought maybeââ âIâd love to stay with you, Ciscoâ I quickly said, âIâll pay rent and Iâll buy you pizza and video games andâ I smiled, âthank youâ My phone vibrated again with another message. âThis is Wally btw lol Cisco gave me ur # Just wanted advice on speedster stuff thought maybe u could help idkâ Â Â Â I hummed at the message. âGreat,â Ciscoâs voice was enthusiastic, âI guess Iâll take that pizza tonight. Dinner is on youâ Â Â Â I could practically hear the smile on his face. I laughed at that and we said our goodbyes. As I hung up, I went to respond to Wallyâs messages. âboiii Ur supposed to be having lunch with Cecile and her daughter stop texting me !! also y me ?Âżâ Â Â Â I sent the messages and took the earbuds out of my ears. I held the middle of the two earbud cords and swung the tips around as I continued walking. I could see Jitters in the distance. I silently thanked Cisco for putting a tracker in my phone. Â Â Â I checked my phone again to see if I had gotten any new messages. Wally must type slow, huh, thatâs ironic. While I was at it I went ahead and added Wally as a new contact. I started looking through my phone for things to keep my distracted while I walked. Then, I got a message. âIdk i mean after all u did get struck by lightning, too Barryâs also telling me to pay attention to our lunch ugh u guys r the most annoying parents ttylâ Â Â Â I chuckled at him comparing us to his parents. However, I was confused as to why he would do such a thing. I mean, his sister was dating Barry, wasnât she? I didnât bother responding, but I couldnât stop staring at that first message. Â Â Â He was right. I was struck by lightning, too. Did that make me a speedster? Does it take a while for the powers to accumulate? Since I was in a coma for longerâdoes that mean I donât get my powers early on? Or at all? Am I overthinking this? Am I not thinking enough? Â Â Â Questions raced through my head as I thought of the possibilities. What was to become of all this? My pace picked up as did my thoughts. I put my earbuds away and started fiddling with my hands to distract myself. I sighed, trying to relax myself, but only became more frantic. Â Â Â As I approached Jitters, I wondered if coffee was the best thing for me right now. However, I didnât have much time to wonder. People starting coming out of the cafe in a frantic manner. I sped my way towards a woman of my age. Joe and the others could still be in there. âExcuse me!â I called out to her. She turned to face me with a sour look on her face. âHi, Iâm sorry to disturb, but whatâs going on?â I said, my voice shaking. âThereâs a metahuman in there, you should probably runâ she told me, starting to frantically run again. âOh! Wait! No, Iâm actuallyââ I tried yelling and catching up to her.
âYouâre actually helpless in the situation,â she said, cutting me off, âUnless youâre the Flash or Kid Flash, I suggest you run like everyone elseâ She then quickly ran off.    I watched as she ran off, as everyone ran off. I instinctively reached for my phone to call for helpâOliver, Felicity, Theaâanyone. I stopped myself when I realized I couldnât call them. A wave of anxiety washed over me again. I had to do this on my own. I couldnât fall into old habits.    I tried calming my breathing as I carefully walked up to Jittersâ entrance. I stayed by the wall, creeping my way up. If there was a metahuman attack, Iâd have to be extra careful. I slowly peered over the glass doors. I saw a man in dark clothing speaking to a group of others on the second floor. On closer inspection, I realized it was Barry and everyone else.
As the man, assumingely the meta, approached the others, Joe pointed his gun at the man. My eyes widened and I took my gun out as I quietly walked in. As I did so, Joe shot at the man.    Three bullets moved through the air in what seemed like slow motion. The three bullets disintegrated as they touched the man, and the remains fell to the ground. I stared in shock at the way the world seemed to move slowly around me. However, the feeling quickly went away as the man spoke. âTold ya,â the man said, reaching for a pillar holding up the floor everyone else was on. âFreezeâ I spoke, pointing my gun at the man.    The man stopped and slowly turned to look at me. He took me in, stared me down. He looked at my shaking hands and raised an eyebrow at me. I quickly glanced at Barry, giving him a signal to get everyone else out. Barry just shook my head at me, his eyes full of worry and panic. I looked back at the man and stood my ground. âThey didnât work when he did it,â The man gestured with his head to Joe, âWhy should they work when you do it?â âBecause Iâm not going to shootâ I calmly said and the man frowned.    I heard a swoosh and I felt a gush of wind. Oh, thank god, I thought.    I didnât move my gun, but I noticed Barry was still up with everyone else and that Wally wasnât. âStop,â Wally told the man, walking towards him. My eyes flickered between both of them. âAh, ah, ah!â The man snickered, âYou canât touch me speedsterâ    I noticed Wally and Barry look at each other, Barry signaling hand movements. Wally stopped and turned to me, I shrugged my shoulders. Wally rolled his eyes and gestured for me to leave. I frowned and shook my head. He gave me a desperate look and I started giving in. I backed up, not completely leaving, but out of the way.
Wally turned back to the man and started waving his hands around, I watched as, again, everything moved in slow motion. Wally created air funnels and the amount of wind caused the man to fall back and crash through the back glass door.    I saw Wally normally run out of the room, while everything else still moved in slow motion. I felt myself shaking, a lot more than usual. Everything returned to its normal speed, and Barry came running towards me. His eyes were wide as he approached me.    I looked down as I saw my hands moving in an inhuman speed. I dropped my gun in surprise. I felt myself start to freak out. I felt Barry grab my hands and keep them from vibrating. I looked up at him in shock. âI was struck by lightning, too,â was the only thing I managed to say. â(Y/n), listen to me, we need to get you out of hereâ Barry began guiding me out of Jitters. âBarry? Queen!â Cecile called out as she saw us rush out.    Barry didnât mind her as he opened the door for me. He quickly took me to an empty alley. My whole arms were shaking now, too. The rest of the world decelerated and I felt electricity run through my body. Barry seemed to be the only thing that was moving with me. âBarry, whatâwhat do I do?â I looked at him with bewildered eyes. âWe need to get you to S.T.A.R. Labsâ he told me as I felt my whole body vibrate. âI canâtâ I shook my head.    As I did so, Barry slowed down. He stood there, slowly taking me in. I felt myself worry again. I was alone. Not even Barry could keep up with me. My legs were starting to shake harder and I needed to move. Calm down, I told myself, youâre okayâyouâre okayâwhat would Barry do?    I tried calming down my breathing. Concentrating on slowing down. When I did, I managed to understand what Barry was saying. âRun, (Y/n),â his voice echoed through my head, ârunâ

"Have yourself, a merry little Christmas.."
Barry could hear the iconic Christmas song coming from inside the forensic lab, as he reached for the door. Walking inside he could see strings of fairy lights adorning the lab walls, and a section of the wall; where green Christmas lights were put up in the shape of a Christmas tree. There was rustling in the far back corner, behind the bookcase of chemicals.
"This would have been so much easier if he actually cleaned the lab like he said he would."
"Who are you talking to (Y/N)?" Barry chuckled, seeing her struggling to try putting up a box on the highest shelf.
"Aaahhhh!" She jumped at his voice, letting the box go. Barry grabbed it before it could hit the floor, and shatter whatever was in it. "Didn't you learn in school not to sneak up on people, while they're trying to put things on high shelves?" she questioned in annoyance.
"I don't think they teach you that in school."
He tried not to laugh at her attempt to put on a menacing face. She glared at him, before breaking into laughter as well.
"Well consider yourself taught then. Now go, and spread the knowledge my young cricket." He chuckled at her response, while putting up the box on the top shelf, with little effort.
"What are you up to lady?"
"Well, since you're a liar, I took it upon myself to clean your lab."
"Hey, it's our lab now."
"Oh, sorry. I meant YOUR MESS," she enunciated the last two words, poking his chest for emphasis.
Barry took a moment to look around the room to find it a lot cleaner than he had ever seen, since moving into the office. The scattered pile of papers that had been on the floor for four months, were now filed in their respective folders and placed neatly on his desk. The multiple dirty beakers that were left in the sink were now on the drying rack, spotless. The empty boxes of donuts were thrown away in the trash, and the table that previously housed said donuts, was cleaned and free of any debris. He could go on forever playing the game, 'Spot the Difference'.
"I'm sorry..." He rubbed his neck, embarrassed.
"Yes Barry, I know you're sorry. I think the whole police station calls you "Sorry" instead of "Barry" now," she teased. "Anyways, it's not a big deal. The mess didn't bother me too much."
He raised his eyebrows at her lie.
"Okay fine, it was bothering me a little. But cleaning is very therapeutic for me, so it really wasn't a big deal."
"Still, it was my mess. You should have let me clean it."
(Y/N) threw him an amused look. "You and I both know you would have never cleaned. And besides, I wanted to decorate the place with a little Christmas cheer, so I volunteered to clean it."
"Let me make it up to you, though. I feel bad for making you clean my mess." He knew that he wouldn't have cleaned it either way, and was thankful she ended up cleaning his mess.
"I told you, don't worry about it." (Y/N) tried assuring him, but he continued pleading.
"Please!" he begged her.
"Fine! I have one way you can make it up to me."
"Yes!" He felt victorious, winning the "argument". "What is it?"
"Well, a little birdie told me that you have the voice of an angel." She enjoyed watching his face turn red from embarrassment.
"W-what? Who told you that?" His voice became high and he could feel the burning of his cheeks.
"Caitlin and Iris." she was trying to refrain from laughing, not wanting to upset him. She didn't think his face could become any more red, but was proven wrong. He reminded her of one of the round shiny red ornaments. "I want you sing for me."
(Y/N)'s face brightened at a new idea that popped in her head. "Actually, better yet, I want you to go caroling in your neighborhood for me. Why should I be the only one to enjoy your beautiful voice?"
"No, absolutely not."
"Wow." She feigned a disappointed face, using her dramatic acting skills she learned from years of watching Korean dramas and Spanish soap operas. "I thought Barry Allen was a man of his word. I guess not."
"I am-"
"Nope, I don't want to hear it. I have lost my faith in men. What's the point, when they are all going to lie to you? Barry Allen, you are to blame if I end up shunning men for life and become a nun."
Barry sighed, knowing that her dramatic acting would not stop until he gave in.
"Fine." he muttered.
"Uh, what's that? I can't hear you. Did you just say another lie?" she teased, cupping her hand to her ear.
"Fine." he muttered, more loudly this time.
(Y/N) broke into her widest smile at the response. She danced a little victory dance, while making a mental note of the songs she was going to make him sing.
"What's got you jumping up and down?" Joe walking into the room, watching (Y/N) with amusement.
"Joe! You came in just the right time! Barry, here, has agreed to go Christmas caroling around the whole neighborhood!" She couldn't help but laugh, picturing Barry caroling by himself.
"Really?" Joe was surprised, shocked even, at the news. "You know I tried to get this kid to sing whenever we went to the karaoke bar? He threatened to quit his job."
Barry buried his face in his hands, attempting to block them out.
"Never underestimate a woman and her power of persuasion."
When their laughing died down, Barry took the opportunity to change the subject.
"Joe, did you need something?" He said a little grumpily.
"Actually, I just came up here to ask (Y/N) if she wanted to join us for our Christmas get-together."
(Y/N)'s eyes lit up, like the Christmas lights in the room.
"Really? I would love to!" Her expression turned worrisome for a moment. "Actually, I was planning to spend Christmas with Caitlin and Cisco. And Dr. Wells, whether he likes it or not."
"Barry was planning to invite them anyway. The more the merrier," the detective offered.
"That's settled then! I'll bring some of my brownies." she started planning in her head.
"That's not necessary, you don't need to bring anything-"
Barry interrupted Joe's sentence. "Joe, let her bring her brownies. Caitlin told me stories about them; they're the best you'll ever taste. Even Dr. Wells agreed." He was a little curious how good they were to have won over Dr. Wells.
(Y/N) patted her friend on the back. "You flatter me, my good man."
"Well, if you don't mind (Y/N)."
"Consider it done! It's really not a problem making them!" (Y/N) beamed at Joe, remembering to thank him for the invitation. "Thank you for inviting me!"
"Well, then I will see you both tomorrow night then!" Joe waved at the two, then left to take care of other matters.
"Iris is going to be there." Barry brought up, watching the detective leave.
"Cool?" (Y/N) responded, unsure why he was telling her this piece of information.
"You promised to help me with Iris?" Barry jogged her memory to a before, when she promised him to help with his love life.
"Right, listen Barry-"
"Oh no you don't. If I have to keep my promises, you have to keep yours."
"But-"
"If you back out, I won't have to carol around the neighborhood. You know what? Don't help me. Then I don't have to carol anymore." Barry grinned at the dilemma (Y/N) faced.
"Ugh, fine. I'll help you, she begrudgingly agreed. "But like I said, whatever happens, you better not blame me, mister."
"Sure, whatever." he agreed.
"Oh, and Barry?"
"What?" His mind was now occupied on how to rope her into going caroling with him.
"I'll make sure to make buy some figgy pudding for you." she teased.

Partners in Crime #3
After spending some needed girl time, the pair headed back to STAR Labs.
(Y/N) could hear Caitlin, in the passenger seat, talking on the phone in hushed whispers. She didn't think much of it, not wanting to be nosy. The whispering conversation continued, when the car pulled into the lab parking lot. She waited patiently, turning off the ignition, for her friend to finish the phone conversation.
Caitlin's face lit up all of a sudden. "Alright, I'll bring her in then." Hanging up, she turned to her friend with a big smile.
"What are you so happy about? You're starting to freak me out." (Y/N) leaned against the door, distancing herself from her creepily smiling friend.
"Well, Cisco just told me that our fifth team member is present in the lab, and to bring you in to meet him!"
"Why were you being so secretive on the phone, then?" she asked.
"You'll see when we get there!"
Caitlin managed to get out of the car in record time, flinging open the driver's door, grabbing (Y/N)'s hand, and dragging her into the lab.
"Cait, Caitlin, c-can we slow down a bit?" (Y/N) wheezed, out of breath. But she couldn't help but smile, seeing how giddy Caitlin was. She hadn't seen her friend this happy, since Ronnie died.
"There you guys are! What took you so long?" The resident tech-genius whined. "Was there a shoe sale on the way here that you had to stop by?" He was still munching a Twizzler when they entered the room.
"Hey! There's nothing wrong with wanting to drive safe. Slow and steady wins the race, or in this case, stay alive." (Y/N) thought of herself to have superb driving skills, especially better than Cisco, who thought the speed limit sign was more of a suggestion for drivers, and Caitlin, who drove extremely slow in case she accidentally hit a butterfly.
"And where is this important person I need to meet?" Frankly, she was a little annoyed at the mystery of the fifth person. It had been bugging her all day, and having impatience as a personality trait was not helping the situation. Who was this secretive person who she had practically had to set an appointment to meet?
"Well, the need to wait is no more. Here he is!" Cisco stepped to his right, wiggling his fingers at the ground behind him.. "TA-DA!"
"A dog?! We have a team mascot? Oh my goodness, he is so adorable!" She half-whispered, half-screamed because the little puppy was sleeping, adorably, on the floor. (Y/N) was literally jumping up and down, unable to contain her excitement on the news of the unmasked fifth member.
So worth the wait.
"Dang it, I thought you would be mad, or at least a little annoyed." Cisco was disappointed at her reaction, thinking she would be mad that the mysterious fifth person wasn't even a person. "I completely forgot that you loved dogs."
Caitlin rolled her eyes at his attempt to annoy (Y/N) and turned her attention to trying to calm down her best friend. "(Y/N). (Y/N). (Y/N)!!" Her attempts failed, however, as her friend now kneeled on the floor, cooing at the sleeping puppy. "(Y/N), can you listen to me for five seconds, please?"
(Y/N) stopped her fawning, and stared at her friend, who was cutting into her time of cooing at the puppy.
"Yes?"
"Cisco was just kidding. We actually have someone, a real person, we want you to meet, before you lose your mind again over the puppy." Caitlin gestured her hand over to the area behind (Y/N), where a figure dressed in, what appeared to be, scarlet red spandex stood. Â
"That cannot be comfortable," she commented, under her breath.
She focused her attention on his face, which she couldn't see very clearly. Standing up, she brushed off her knees and walked over to the red figure with her hand extended out.
"Hello sir! I'm (Y/N)! Pleasure to meet you!"
Even as she got closer, she couldn't make out his face very well. It seemed as though it was vibrating or something. She rubbed her eyes, thinking her vision was messing with her.
The red figure took her hand, and shook it, but didn't do anything else. He just continued to look at her.
"Umm, this would be the part where you tell me your name?" Immediately, the handshaking stopped.
"Wait, (Y/N). You don't know who this?" Caitlin voiced from behind.
"Of course I know who this is. You're 'The Flash'! But I meant, what's your real name? You must have a real name right? Or am I supposed to guess? Is it Clark? Bruce? Bart? Wilson? Wait no, you don't really give off the vibe of a WilsonâŠ" She continued rattling off names off, already lost in her own world.
Caitlin sighed, not liking to have to raise her voice. "(Y/N). (Y/N). (Y/N)!!"
"Bernie? Stewar-" She looked at her friends' faces. They didn't seem as excited as she was.
"What?"
"We can't really tell you his identityâŠ"
"Yeah, Dr. Wells told us that we shouldn't, or can't, tell you for your safety."
She gave her friends an 'are you kidding me' look.
"Well, WE aren't allowed to tell you, but if you found out for yourself, we couldn't stop you," the voice behind the vibrating face reasoned. (Y/N) turned back to the source of the voice, the man in the spandex suit. She gave him the same look she gave her friends.
"For all I know, you could be the guy selling hot dogs on the street. How would I even find out? Actually, the better question is, why should I even try?"
"The answer is closer than you think," the superhero hinted.
"At least give me a better hint." She pleaded the Flash and her friends, with the best puppy dog eyes she could muster. But to her friends, it just looked like she was trying to imitate bug eyes, so it didn't help her cause.
"So until I find out who he really is, he has to walk around in that costume whenever I'm here?"
"Yup. And it's not a costume, it's a superhero suit. There's a difference," Cisco insisted.
"Well, I do love a man in uniform." she said jokingly. "I think I'll take my time on this case."
"It's true, she does." Caitlin laughed at her friend's antics.
The Flash, on the other hand, seemed flustered at her words, making him stutter. "I-uh-um. Well, nice meeting you Ms-"
"Call me (Y/N)."
"Right. Um, well, I'll be leaving now. Let me know if anything happens or if you need me."
With an awkward wave, the Flash sped out of the room, making any loose papers fly about in the air.
"You know, you guys should really buy some paperweights." (Y/N) suggested to her friends. "Where's he going by the way?"
"Probably off to another rendezvous with his crush." Cisco informed, with raising his eyebrows up and down, in a suggestive manner.
"Huh, interesting. I wonder who she is?"
"Cisco, don't you dare." Seeing him about to answer her question, Caitlin hurried to interrupt him.
"Any-who, back to the real important matter at hand." (Y/N) gestured to the puppy on the floor. "Who's puppy is she?" The puppy of the matter was still sleeping, not even bothered by the previous events in the room.
"It's yours actually."
"WHAT?!"
With that yell, the puppy woke up from it's nap and gave out a yawn, before running over to (Y/N) and pouncing near her feet. He took a second to sniff the new human, before reverting back to jumping up and down.
"What do you mean?" (Y/N) was on the verge of tears from the happiness, and sadness that this whole thing might be a dream. She pinched herself to check. "Ow.. Yup, definitely not a dream."
"We got you a puppy as a welcome gift! I know how much you've wanted one but couldn't when you were in Starling." Caitlin exclaimed.
Her previous land lord didn't allow her to keep dogs in her apartment because of his allergies, so she had to hold off on her dream of becoming a dog lady (similar idea to 'cat lady', but instead with dogs). Well, she wasn't serious on the dog lady thing, but was devastated upon finding out that she wouldn't be able to get a dog. But now, with her changed living spaces, she could.
"You guys, you are the best friends that anyone could ever have." Caitlin's eyes got teary at her words, and Cisco was already a sobbing mess. "What's his name?"
Wiping away her tears, Caitlin responded. "We were waiting for you to name him, since he's yours."
Laughing, (Y/N) looked at the dog closely, through her watering eyes. "Hmm. I think I'm going to call you Chewy. Short for Chewbaca the Third."
The dog barked at his name. "Good! I'm glad you like the name! You're gonna be our new mascot!" Smiling , she picked him up in her arms gently.
"Well, if he's our new mascot, you better be ready to bring him in to the lab everyday. He's as much part of the team as anyone of us." Cisco said.
"Of course! And I hereby decree, Cisco Ramon and Caitlin Snow, the godfather and godmother of my child Chewy. If anything were to happen to me, I entrust him in your care." (Y/N) announced dramatically, sniffling through her stuffed nose.
"And the moment's over." Caitlin sighed again at her overly dramatic best friend.
(A/N) I really want a dog. I really want a dog. I really want a dog. I think if I say this enough times, maybe one will appear.

Confessions (and Batman)
A/N: Iâm back and ready with another Barry Allen fanfiction! Yay!
Request:Â âYour writing is wonderful!! Would you mind writing a shy!reader x Barry where they both like each other but neither one knows? If not thatâs okay too! Thanks!!â Iâm so happy you like my writing! I would be more than happy to write this! If you have a request, please send it! I would be more than happy to write it for you!
Pairing: Barry Allen/The flash x shy!reader
Description: Barry just wants to tell Y/N how he feels. Y/N just wants to tell Barry how she feels. Theyâre both just a little too awkward to confess anything, though.Â
Warnings: swearing??? That should be it
This is also probably trash but maybe youâll like it??? idk
Barry didnât expect Bruce Wayne to be sitting on a chair in his computer lab when he walked into the warehouse, and definitely didnât expect Bruce Wayne to ask him to become apart of his team to defeat Steppenwolf.Â
âOkay, but thereâs nothing special about me,â Barry said, walking over to one of his computerâs.Â
âThen whatâs this costume for?â Bruce asked, standing up and walking over to the flash suit.Â
âI do competitive ice dancing,â Barry lied, pulling up a tab on his computer.Â
âRight, right.âÂ
Just then, the warehouse door opened and you, his best friend and crush-not-crush, walked in.Â
Barry turned around and looked at you, smiling. You smiled back and both of you blushed. Bruce noticed this and looked from you to Barry. He then quickly pulled out a Batarang and threw it in your direction.Â
Barry's eyes went wide. He knew what Bruce was doing, trying to get him to show his powerâs. Everything was suddenly in slow motion. He ran over to you and grabbed your wrist with his left hand, pulling you out of the way. He grabbed the Batarang with his right hand and caught it between his fingers.Â
Bruce smirked and sat back down in the chair. âNot special, huh?â
âYou know, this is lovely and all, but I would appriciate if you didnât throw Batarangs at my girlf- best friend. Thanks.âÂ
You blushed behind Barry and looked at the ground.Â
âOkay, well hurry up and make up your mind, kid.â
Barry sighed and let go of your wrist. âYeah, Iâll come.âÂ
âW-wait, where are you going?â You asked in a whisper.
âI have no idea. I just have to go with Mr. Wayne here to-â
âCan I come?âÂ
The question caught both Barry and Bruce off guard, as they stared at you for quite a few minutes.Â
âDepends,â Bruce said. âCan you fight?â
âWell, kind of. I know how to shoot a gun and use a bow and arrow, though.â
Barry coughed awkwardly. âSo youâre saying that you know how to use a bow and arrow but you never told me?â
âYeah...âÂ
Barry looked at you with admiration in his eyes.Â
Bruce cleared his throat and looked at you. âOkay lovebirds, hurry up, we donât have all day.âÂ
You blushed and looked down.Â
âRight,â Barry mumbled, âSorry.âÂ
Both of you walked in opposite directions. You went to grab your jacket and Barry went to grab a box of pizza. When you were done you meet at the door with Bruce.Â
âWhy the hell do you have a whole pizza?â Bruce asked Barry as the three of you walked out to Bruceâs car.Â
âWell, since I have super speed, I burn calories, like, ten times faster than the average human would, so I have-âÂ
You started to zone out after a while, falling asleep in the back of Bruceâs car.
-----
âSo anyway, the problem with-â
âLet me stop you right there, kid,â Bruce said. âYou talk way too much.â
âRight, sorry. It happens when Iâm nervous,â Barry muttered, looking out the car window.Â
There was an awkward silence before Bruce spoke up.Â
âSo, tell me about your girlfriend.â Bruce looked at Barry and smirked.
âSheâs not my girlfriend.â
âYou sure? I mean, the way the two of you look at each other and the way you both blush while talking to each other kind of makes it seem like youâre a couple.â Â
âYeah, well, weâre not, so just drop it.âÂ
âItâs kind of obvious she likes you, Barry,â Bruce stated.Â
Barry snorted. âI wish.â
âYou should ask her out.â
Barry looked at Bruce with his mouth agape. âWhat?â
Bruce sighed. âListen, kid, you like her, she likes you. Ask her out. You two would make one hell of a couple.â
âI-I canât. I mean, god I want to so bad, but I canât. Sheâs my best friend and I donât want to ruin our friendship if she doesnât like me back. I wish I could but, I just canât.â
âKid, listen. You have to try. If you donât try now, you may never get the chance.â
âYeah, but what if-â
âEnough of the âwhat ifâsâ. Youâre going to ask her by the end of the day, got it?â
âUm, yeah. Okay, yeah. Iâll ask her by the end of the day, I promise.âÂ
-----
You woke up just as Bruce parked his car at the Batcave. Bruce opened the door and stepped out of the car, you and Barry following after him.Â
âOh my god...â Barry muttered, looking around.Â
âPretty great, right?â Bruce asked, walking away. You and Barry followed likewise, taking in your surroundings as you walked along.Â
At one point Barry absentmindedly reached out and grabbed your hand, intertwining your fingers. You blushed and looked down at your intertwined hands, smiling to yourself.Â
You continued to follow Bruce for a few more minutes before you stopped in a large room. At a table sat a young woman and an older man. The young woman stood up and walked over to you and Barry. You felt Barry drop your hand when she reached you two.Â
âYou must be our new recruits. Itâs wonderful to meet you. Iâm Diana.âÂ
She held out her hand Barry took it. âHi Barry, Iâm Diana,â Barry said. âWait, no, thatâs not right.â
You snickered as Diana pulled away and put her hand out towards you. âItâs a pleasure to meet you. Iâm Y/N.â
She looked at both of you and smiled. âSo, are you two a-â
âNo, weâre not,â Barry protested, cutting her off.Â
âOh.â
An awkward silence settled in the room before Bruce cleared his throat. âIâm just going to need to take Barry here for a few seconds, to, talk,â Bruce suggested, grabbing Barryâs upper arm.
âBut, Mr. Wayne-â Barry interrupted.
Bruce pulled Barry away before you could here anything else. You swore you saw him wink at Diana before he left.Â
âSo, Y/N,â Diana began, starting to walk forward. âTell me about yourself.â
âWell, uh, I like animals, and art,â you muttered. âI also guess I like read. I mean, okay, I love to read. I can shoot a bow and arrow, too.â
âThatâs cool. I know how to use a sword.â
âCool.â
It was quiet for a minute and you could only hear the clicking of Dianaâs heels. âDo you have a boyfriend?âÂ
You felt your face heat up. âWell, no, but-â
âAre you interested in anyone by chance?â
âI mean, yeah, but-â
âItâs Barry, isnât it?â
You sighed. âIs it that obvious?â
She laughed. âJust a little.â
âDamn.â
âYou should ask him out. Like, on a date. Iâm positive he likes you, too.â
You snickered. âThatâs funny.â
âOh, come on. Itâs obvious he likes you back. I mean, he was the one that grabbed your hand, wasnât he?â Diana smirked.
âYou saw that?â
âObviously. We all did. You could probably hold his hand more if you asked him on a date.â
âYeah, no.â
âWhy not?â
âOut of all the people in the world he could possibly like, why the hell would it be me?â
âWell, youâre a beautiful young lady who is very sweet and is an absolutly wonderful person, even if Iâve only known you for an hour or so.â
âYour point is?â
She sighed. âY/N, my point is that you should take that chance and-â
âWEâRE BACK!â Bruce exclaimed, walking in the room with Barry following behind him.Â
âWonderful. Bruce, do you think I could talk to you for a minute?â Diana asked, smiling at Bruce.
âOf course.âÂ
As they were walking out of the room, Diana turned around and winked at you.Â
âHey,â you muttered.
âHey.â
There was a long pause before you both spoke up. âSo I was thinking-âÂ
âYou first.â
âNo, you go.â
âOkay,â Barry paused. âSo, I was wondering if you maybe wantedtogotothemovieswithmethisSaturday?â
You looked at him for a few seconds in confusion. âW-what?â
âI was-I was wondering if you wanted to go to the movies with me this Saturday?â He mumbled, looking at the ground.
âLike-like a date?â
âI mean, yeah. O-only if you want it to be a date, though. It doesnât have to be if-â You cut him off by gently pressing your lips against his.Â
The kiss was over about as quick as it happened, but for Barry it felt like forever.
âSo Iâm gonna take that as a yes?â
âYes, Barry Allen. I would love to go on a date with you.â
You both smiled at each other, leaning in for another kiss.
âFINALLY!â

My Hero
A/N: Oh my goodness another Barry Allen fic!
Request: from @avengers-and-jedis  âGOSH YOUR BARRY ALLEN FIC WAS ADORABLE! Can you write one with an artist!reader! (Ezraâs Barry please) Thank you!â Thank you so much! This was an amazing idea and Iâm so glad you requested it! Remember if you have a request to send it!
Pairing: Barry Allen/The flash x reader
Description: You just need inspiration for your next piece. Thatâs when your boyfriend, Barry, comes to save the day.
Warnings: Swearing, like alwaysÂ
You sighed in frustration and threw your pencil at the wall. Groaning, you put your forehead on your desk. âThis is so stupid...â you muttered to yourself, closing your eyes.Â
There was a knock at the apartment door. You stood up and walked out of your office, opening up the door. There stood your boyfriend, anxiously waiting with his hands behind his back.Â
âHey babe,â you said, smiling up at him.Â
âHey,â he replied, putting an arm around your waist. He pulled you into him and kissed your forehead.
You sighed and put your head on his chest.Â
âWhatâs wrong?â
âYou know that art project I have to do for class?â
âYeah.â
âWell itâs due in a week and I havenât even started it.âÂ
âOh.â Barry frowned. He knew how important this project was. It would determine if you passed or not.Â
âYeah, I guess I just havenât found the inspiration for it yet,â you mumbled.Â
You walked into your apartment and sat down on your couch, Barry sitting next to you. You put your head on his shoulder and closed your eyes. He put an arm around your waist and put his head on yours.Â
âThis is so frustrating.â
âYou need any help?â
âNo, itâs fine. I guess Iâll just fail the class,â you paused. âIâm not even that good of an artist anyways.âÂ
Barry lifted up his head and turned to look at you. He put a hand on your cheek and made you look at him.Â
âThatâs not true.â
âWell...â you whispered, your voice trailing off.
âY/N, youâre one of the most talented people I know. You may be the most talented person I know. Just because you donât have inspiration for this project doesnât make you a bad artist. I promise youâre going to get an A, and youâre going to pass this class,â he told you, smiling.Â
âThanks,â you sighed, leaning in and lightly pressing your lips to his. You smiled into the kiss. You may have finally found an idea for your project.Â
-----
A week later, you handed in your project to your professor.Â
âThis is amazing, Miss L/N,â she told you, admiring your art. âYou wouldnât mind if I put this in tomorrow nightâs art contest, would you?â
You smiled. âNo, not at all.âÂ
She smiled back. âWonderful, Iâll see you then.â
-----
âBarry, come on!â You yelled, anxiously tapping your foot. âWeâre gonna be late!â
Just then, your boyfriend walked out of your room, putting on his jacket. âOkay, Iâm here.âÂ
âYou know, for being the fastest man alive, I wouldâve expected you to find your jacket a lot sooner,â you snickered, looking at him.
âOh, well Iâm sorry I couldnât find the jacket you stole from me.â
âWell, Iâm sorry itâs so comfortable,â you giggled, sticking out your hand. âNow, come on, before we really are late.â
He grabbed your hand and intertwined your fingers. âWhatever you say, babe.âÂ
You both walked out of your apartment building and into the cold December night. You knew you only had to walk a few blocks to get to the art contest, but damn it was cold.Â
Barry saw you shiver and threw his arm over your shoulder. âYou know, we could get there a lot quicker if-â
âNo, Barry,â you said, cutting him off. âYouâre not allowed to use your super speed.âÂ
âDamn.â
You giggled and kissed his cheek. âWeâre almost there, anyway.âÂ
Barry smiled to himself as the two of you crossed the street. You walked down the sidewalk in silence until the faint sound of classical music could be heard. As you turned the corner, hundreds of people came into view.Â
You smiled to yourself as Barry removed his arm from your shoulder.
âY/N!â You heard someone shout as you turned around. Your best friend, Angelica (sorry if thatâs your name, just change it I guess), came running up to you. She jumped into you, throwing her arms around your neck. âYou made it! Took you long enough.âÂ
âSorry.â
âDoesnât matter. Theyâre announcing the winners of the art contest in ten minutes!â She yelled, grabbing your wrist. âWe have to go see who won!âÂ
You looked back a Barry and gave him an apologetic look before Angelica pulled you away from him.Â
Angelica pulled you to the area where they had all the art out. You smiled to yourself, seeing your professor standing next to your painting. She looked at you and waved, indicating she wanted to talk.
You walked up to her and smiled. âMrs. Smith! Thank you so much!âÂ
âOh, itâs not a problem, dear! You are an amazing artist, after all.âÂ
You blushed and looked at the ground. âWell, I wouldnât say amazing...â
âNonsense! Youâre one of my best students! You have such an amazing talent, Iâm surprised you havenât won some kind of award! Speaking of which-â
âAll art contest judges are needed at the judging table,â said a voice over the speakers.Â
âOh, thatâs me! Iâm so sorry. I hope you have a wonderful night!â She waved and walked off, leaving you alone. You decided to go find Angelica again since she managed to wander farther away from you than expected.Â
As you were walking through the crowds of people, you ran into someone. You stumbled backward and wouldâve fallen if they hadnât caught you.
âOh my god Iâm so sorry I didnât-âÂ
You looked up and saw your boyfriend rambling with such an apologetic look on his face. You giggled and stood up, leaning forward and setting your lips on his.
âYou should really watch where youâre going, Barry.âÂ
He looked at you with admiration in his eyes before he wrapped his arms around your waist. âYouâre one to talk, L/N.âÂ
He pressed his lips to yours and you smiled. Leaning into the kiss, you ran a hand through his hair.Â
âWe are now announcing the winners of the art show!â The same voice as before said.Â
You pulled away from Barry. âThatâs my cue.â
You grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the crowd around the judging table.
âI would like to thank everyone for coming out tonight!â Mrs. Smith began. âI am amazed at all the artwork that was put in the contest! Sadly, only one of you can get first. I would like to congratulate that award to...â
â...Miss Y/N L/N!â
You threw your hands up to cover your mouth in excitement. Barry looked at you with the widest grin on his face. âThatâs you, babe.âÂ
You slowly started to walk up towards the judging table.
âCongratulations, Miss, L/N,â Mrs. Smith said, handing you your trophy and painting.Â
âThank you.â You smiled and walked up to her, wrapping your arms around her and pulling her into a hug. âThank you, so much.â
âNo problem, dear.â
You heard everyone around you clapping, but all of it drowned out with the pounding sound of your heartbeat.
-----
After the crowd cleared, you ran towards Barry.Â
âI won!â You exclaimed as you jumped into him.Â
âI know. I was there.â He smirked and wrapped his arms around your waist as you jumped up and wrapped your legs around his. âIâm proud of you.âÂ
âI couldnât have done it without you, Barry.â
âWhyâs that?â
âWell,â you began, resting your forehead on his. âYou were my inspiration.â
He gave you a questionable look.
âI painted you, Barry. I painted you and that god damn award winning smile.â
âIâm flattered.â
You giggled and gently pecked his lips. âI wouldnât have won that award without you. Youâre really a hero, Barry. Youâre my hero.â
-----
That felt rushed and was probably trash but I hope you liked it!

â- Â Â Â
The next morning, Barry was up before I was. It felt strange, like a one night stand. Without the actual sex, that is. Regardless, I was in the Cortex as Barry and Wally were getting ready to race around the city.
I was calling my former Captain back in Star City (I thought it was Starling City, too, but apparently they rebranded or some thing now that Ollieâs the Mayor ?Âż? Mandela effect *-* Âż), Frank Pike. Man, was he upset I didnât call sooner. I was explaining my situation to him, trying to stay calm and relaxed.
âCisco, you good?â Barryâs voice came from the monitor.
âLadies and gentlemen, the Central City Speedster 500 is about to begin. But first, Iâve got six-to-one odds. Barry takes down Wally. Any takers?â I heard Cisco say.
âYes, sir. Of course I understandââ I kept trying to get through Pikeâs head.
ââweâre betting?â I managed to hear H.R. say.
âSir, itâs just, I was working for you for almost 5 yearsâyes, sir, I did disappear, but in my defense, I was struck my lightningâand I was the best you hadâ I tried reasoning.
âPut me down for 20 for Barryâ Iris said.
I looked up at Cisco and snapped my fingers. He noticed and I started making hand signals. Indicating I was also betting on Barry.
He mouthed the words âhow much?â and I mouthed back 'hundredâ. He raised his eyebrows and nodded in approval.
âDamn, girlâ He continued taking everyoneâs bet.
âSir, if you let me go now, I promise you, youâll never have anyone as hardworking and committed as meâ I pleaded with my him. I pinched the bridge of my nose and hoped for the best. I heard Pike sigh heavily.
âOh yes! Pay upâ Iris said with a smile.
I looked over and realized Barry had already won. Jeez, this call was taking longer than I expected. The line on the other end was quiet for a minute. I started to think Pike had just hung up. Then, he spoke.
âQueen, youâre not wrong about being one of our best. Your work is truly magnificent. You will be transferred to Central City Police Department as soon as possibleâ
I almost squealed right there. For a second there I didnât think it would work.
âT-Thank you so much, sir! I promise I wonât disappointâ!â Everyone turned to me as my tone changed to a much happier one.
âDonât thank me yet. You start today, an hour. Get your things and be on your way. Report to Captain David Singh as soon as possibleâ
âWaitâIâm sorryâd-did you just say an hour?! I know you said soon, sir, butââ
âNo 'butâs, Queen, if you want to keep doing what youâre doing, youâll do as I say. Got it?â I swallowed hard as he scolded me.
âY-Yes, sirâ I heard him sigh through the other end.
âLook, kid, this isnât easy for me either, but things are tough around here, and itâd be a hell of a lot easier with you hereâ I could hear his frustration through the phone.
âSir, with all due respect, youâve done fine without me for two years. Having me around wonât make any difference. I-I think a new start is what I need. Trust me, sirâ my voice dropped down to almost a whisper.
âGod, (Y/n), what am I going to do with you?â He chuckled, âYou Queens are gonna drag my ass downâ
âItâs what we doâ I joked.
âYeah, well tell that brother of yours I said 'hiâ,â
âWill do, thank you, Captainâ
âMy pleasureâ Â Â Â
I hung up. I looked at my phone unbelievably. I let out a shaky laugh and looked up. I noticed everyone staring at me, waiting for me to say something. Â Â Â
I quickly texted Oliver.
âPike says hiâ Â Â Â
My phone dinged. God, Oliver was fast.
âomlâ Â Â Â
There was a gush of wind & lightning then Barry and Wally were back. I made sure everyone was settled down before I spoke. I give an unsure smile before speaking.
âI have now officially transferred to CCPDâ My voice was shaky. Â Â Â
The reactions around the room varied, but they were mostly happy, as I hoped theyâd be. Cisco looked at me like a proud mom. Caitlin was surprised, but glad. Joe congratulated me with a reassuring smile. Â Â Â
Wally smiled in my direction, I assumed he was happy Iâd stay longer. H.R.âs eyes widened and he threw his drumsticks to the air in celebration. Iris seemed as to be speechless and Barry was ecstatic.
âSeriously?â He came up to hug me, a huge grin on his face.
âYeahâ I laughed as I hugged back.
âDoes that mean youâre staying?â He whispered full of hope.
âIâd never leave you, Barry Allenâ I smiled before pulling away, âI was really scared I wouldnât be able to transfer, but here I amâ
âI told you youâd be fine. Youâre the bestâ he smiled adorably and I shoved him playfully.
âShut up, I have to report to Captain Singh in like an hour, so I have to goâ I started gathering my stuff before Barry stopped me.
âHey, fastest man alive, right here, ya know?â He pointed at himself.
âYeah, well from what Iâve heard, you have a tendency to be late regardless of said factâ I threw a teasing smile at him before frowning.
âHey, anyone else hungry or is that just me?â I questioned before walking out of the cortex room.
Joe and I arrived at Luigiâs not too long after stopping at CCPD. We walked in and saw Julian and Barry already examining a body.
âHey guys, this one is, uhââ Barry tried finding the words.
Oh, God.
ââpretty ghastly. Detectives, I warn youâ Julian says as we reach them.
Barryâs voice.
âWhat the hell,â I said as I uncovered the decomposing body.
âThatâs the body?â Joe asks.
âYeah, why?â Responds Barry.
His voiceâitâs really husky and hot.
âHe died less than eight hours agoâ I answered and Julian turned to me.
âEight hours?â He asked. Â Â Â
âHe was a chef here, Stuart Holzman, and the owner confirmed that he was working last nightâ Joe explained whilst I took a closer look at the body.
âHuh,â Julian looked at me and I shrugged. âThatâs a lot of damage in a short amount of time,â Barry observes.
Is this his work voice?
âWe thinking itâs a meta?â
âMaybe itâs a meta?â
Joe and I spoke at the same time. We looked at each other and frowned before laughing softly.
âIt may be a meta, although certain chemicals can cause similar reactionsâ said Julian.
âYeah, any acidââ Barry started.
ââwith a pH below two, thatâs rightâ I finished, remembering it from an old case.
You can seduce me any time youâd like, Mr. Forensics.
âPrecisely, Ms. Queenâ Julian answers, âWe could be looking for an aggressive variant necrotized fasciitisâ
âA flesh-eating diseaseâ Barry concluded. âThatâs grossâ I said.
But his tone isnât.
âIn a restaurant?â Joe rushed out, âIâm never eating out againâ
âOkay, so an autopsy might help us hone in on what really did thisâ Barry suggested.
I need to stop. Â Â Â
âYes, I agree,â Julian said, âunfortunately County denied my request for a 3D image medical scanner, which would make short work of the processâ
ââOkay, well, we have one at S.T.A.R. Labsâ Barry interrupted.
Heâs the one who needs to stop talking like that.
âAllen, this is an active case,â Julian shot at him, âthere is protocol to followâ Â Â Â
Julian looked up at me and Joe. We both looked at each other and shrugged.
âSurely?â Julian looked back at Barry.
âNot if weâre gonna figure this outâ Barry told him.
Why does he do this to me.
âOkay, Iâll bag the body myself and meet you thereâ Julian said.
âGreatâ answered Barry as he stood up. Â Â Â
I stared as Joe and Barry left the restaurant. I turned back to Julian. Then to the body. And back to Julian. Â Â Â
âDoes he always sound that hot when working on a case?â I asked him, straight faced, âOr just when heâs concentrated, because, God, I canât tell if that was adorable or if Iâm just turned on by him. Either way, Iâm smittenâ
âWhat?â His eyes widened and he frowned. ââWhat?â My face was still blank.
âDid you sayââÂ
 âIâwhatânoââ I overlapped his sentence.Â
 ââsomething?â
ââI didnâtâdid you?â I finished by shaking my head and frowning.
There was a moment of awkward silence. He was just staring at me. I figured he was trying to find out whether I was serious or not. After a few seconds I couldnât help but let out an awkward laugh.Â
âBloody hell, (Y/n)â he trailed off with a small smile.Â
âI-â I bit my lip, trying to contain my laughter, â-nopeâÂ
âJust help me get the body back to S.T.A.R. Labs, will you?â He tried remaining serious.Â
âYeah, yeahâ I teasingly rolled my eyes.
âOkayâno. Iâve literally never heard him speak in that toneâÂ
I argued with Julian as we entered S.T.A.R. Labs. We had Stuartâs body bagged and on a bed with wheels so it was easily transportable.Â
âHe always speaks like that!â Julian laughed at me.Â
âWho always speaks like what?â Cisco pokes his head out at us as we walked by the Cortex. I motioned them to follow Julian and I.    Â
âBarry speaking in this really low voiceâ I answered, âOh, and Caitlin, would you mind doing an autopsy for our Stuart friend here?â
I spoke as I motioned to the body. We entered the med bay and Julian and I moved into the pathology room. Which also doubled as the operating room and so on and so on.Â
âIâd be honoredâ Caitlin said.    Â
Julian and I centered the body in the middle of the room before returning out to Cisco and Caitlin.Â
âActually, I think Iâll be fine on my ownâ Julian argued.Â
âShut up for a second, Julian, and just listen to what I have to say for once,â I joked. âWe are here, not only to start the autopsy soon, but to open and close this case once and for allâÂ
Cisco and Caitlin looked at me suspiciously. Eagerly waiting for me to tell them what this so-called case was all about.
âYou two may have heard Julian and I arguing when we first arrivedââÂ
âItâs hard not toâ Wally pointed out as he entered the room.Â
âAh, more witnesses, yes. Wellâwe were arguing about how hot Barry sounded this morningââ Â
âI didnât know you swung that way, Julian?â Cisco jokingly asked. Â Â Â Â
âWe were arguing about the tone he speaks everyday, not how hot he soundedâ Julian told his side, âand if I did swing that way, thatâs none of your business, Ramonâ
âHard not to when you guys are all so good lookingâ I teasingly said with a wink and everyone else gave a smile. Â Â Â
âAnyways, I was just telling Julian how much deeper Barryâs voice sounds when heâs at work, which I just happened to find attractiveâ I shrugged. Â Â Â Â
âWhich I answered to with: Barry always sounds like that and sounds more depressing than anythingâ Julian narrowed his eyes, pretending to think.Â
âThatâs what this is all about?â Asked Wally with a laugh.
âHey, just hear me out guys!â I continued as everyone teased me, âWhen I met Barry roughly two years ago, he was a small little bean with big big dreamsâ Â
The room filled with laughter as the conversation went on.Â
âBarry was anything but that when we first metâ Julian said and I argued.    Â
âYeah, well, Barry was literally the cutest thing when we met. Even now he always speaks to me with a happy tone. Just his normal speaking voice. Â Â Â Â
"When I walked through that restaurant not even an hour ago, I had no idea what was in store for me. I donât know if it was the crime scene, or the urgency of it, or the acceleration of me being here, but his voice definitely does not usually sound like that. Â Â Â Â
"It was like he was a totally different person and I cannot deny his voice really turned me onâ I laughed in embarrassment, but, luckily for me, they all laughed because they thought it was funny.Â
âYouâre literally so screwed, (Y/n)â Julian shook his head, laughing. âCanât disagree with Julian thereâ said Cisco.    Â
My face fell as I realized what they were talking about. Iris and Barry. And Savitar, too. I internally groaned before laughing a humorless laugh. Â Â Â Â
âYeah, yeah, Iris and Barry,â I answered, âI admit, itâs not the best situation to be in, but let me have my moments and Iâll let you have yoursâ I smiled awkwardly at them all.
Wally smiled warmly at me as he shook his head jokingly. Julian and Cisco were still giggling like school girls about my little 'momentâ as I had called it. Caitlin rubbed my shoulder apologetically while giving me a small smile.    Â
I pushed my hair back as I sat down in one of the white chairs. Caitlin and Julian went to go get ready for the autopsy. The rest sat down, and as we waited we joked around as best as we could. H.R. joined in, too. Â Â Â Â
Soon, Julian and Caitlin were ready and entered the pathology room. We all stood up from our chairs, eager to find out what had happened to poor Stuart Holzman. Barry quickly joined us.Â
âYou think this is what itâs like to be a character on CSI?â Asked Cisco and I hummed in response.Â
âWhat do they hope to gain from that examination?â H.R. questioned pointing at Caitlin and Julian with his drum stick.    Â
I looked at him in disbelief. Does he seriously not know what an autopsy was? Well, I guess not everyone would know. Either way it made me uneasy. Barry started answering H.R. Â Â Â Â
âTheyâre trying to find the exact cause of death. Once we know that, weâll have a better idea of what weâre dealing with,â Barry looked over to Wally, âBut until then, we need to trainâ Â Â Â Â
Wallyâs eyes lit up like a Christmas tree.Â
âIâm going to teach you everything I know, starting with phasingâ Barry told him.Â
âYes, finally!â Wally praised Barry.Â
âWait, I wanna see,â I interrupted, âYou guys mind if I sit in?âÂ
âNot at allâ Barry said with a smile.Â
âOh! Yes, please! Youâll get to see me in action!â Wally smiled at me and I laughed.Â
âI just have to make a few calls firstâ I told Wally, his smile didnât falter a bit.
âCalls?â Barry frowned at me. Â Â Â Â
âYeah, Iâm actually looking at some apartments,â I explained myself, âYou know, so I donât have to stay here all the time. I mean, no offense but this isnât exactly a five-star hotelâ I mused. Â Â Â Â
âBut donât worry Wally,â I looked at Wally, âthey wonât take long. I just need to double check with the apartment guy,â I rambled on, âIâm heading over later today to check out a couple places and I need to make sure I get there on time.â
âNo problem,â he enthusiastically told me, âas long as you finally see me runâmaybe even phase!â Â Â Â Â
âDonât get too cocky nowâ Barry joked in a not-so teasingly way. Wally could care less, him still gleaming, but I narrowed my eyes and frowned a bit at Barry.
âYou know what we should do?â Asked H.R., âWe should concoct some simulations to help Wallace learn this new skillâ he turned to Cisco.Â
 âWhat do you say, Francisco?âÂ
âI got one word for you: quebrachoâ Cisco responded.Â
âLetâs go!â Said Barry.Â
 âQuebracho!â
After securing a time with the apartment guy, I walked into the room everyone else was at. Barry, Cisco, and H.R. stood watching Wally run laps. I stared at the yellow lightning in amazement. Then, Wally came down and ran to the wooden wall. He crashed into it and everyone else gasped.Â
 âOh, Christâ I said.Â
 âThat hurt likeââ Wally started.Â
âLike you ran into a giant wooden wall? Cause you didâ H.R. told him.Â
My walkie-talkie made a static sound, I listened in as best as I could.Â
âAnd itâs not just any wooden wall,â Cisco told him, âthatâs double-reinforced Quebrachoâ    Â
âHey, uh, guys?â I looked up at them, âIâm sorry, Wally, but I gotta go, crime scene.âÂ
I pointed at my wallow-talkie and grabbed Barryâs arm before dragging us out of there. I saw Wallyâs face drop from frustration to disappointment.Â
âIâll be back! You can do it, Wally! Good luck! Justâtry likeâvibrating I donât know!â I did my best to motivate him.Â
I heard a muffled 'thank youâ as we walked out.Â
âHey, slow down, you know I can just run us there?â Barry stopped me.Â
âYou sure you wonât stop at Jitters for a snack and make us late again?â I teased him.Â
âYes, Iâm sureâ he teased me back, âbesides, youâre the one who wanted to try my drink, I just grabbed a snack while we were thereâÂ
âHey! For your information 'The Flashâ was very delicious and Iâm glad I got a taste of you,â I winked at him and he turned a rosy color.Â
âJust hop on my back and letâs goâ he laughed.    Â
I smiled excitedly and motioned for him to bend down. I hopped on and he told me to hold on before running off, with me on his back, giggling like a child.

Disclaimer: !!panic attack!! Iâve never actually watched Arrow, I apologize for that.

â
I stormed to the place Iâd be living in until my life got back on track. I could hear Barryâs footsteps behind me. I walked into my room and slammed the door like a moody teenager.
I felt a gush of wind and my hair slammed my face. I moved it out of my face and looked up at Barryâs tall frame.
âI keep forgetting youâre a super heroâ I cross my arms.
â(Y/n), Iâm sorryâ
âYeah, you better be, now explainâ I took a step towards him, waiting.
âWhen I threw the philosopher stone into the speed force, something happenedâ he began and I hummed in satisfaction.
My satisfaction, however, disappeared when Barry took a step back and looked down. I swallowed hard and cleared my throat.
âBut you said you got rid of itâyou did get ride of it, right?â
âI-Iâm not sureâ
âNot sure? How can you be not sure?â
âWhen I threw the stone ⊠I-I was thrust into the futureâ
â ⊠the future?â He nodded, âW-Whatâd you, uh, see?â I asked cautiously.
âSavitarâ he looked at me before quickly looking away. His face portrayed guilt.
âIs that all?â I was trying not to push it, but apparently I wasnât trying hard enough because next thing I knew Barry was snapping at me.
â(Y/n)âSavitar had you and Iris! He told me to chose one of you to save, I couldnât do it and you both died! You both die because of me, (Y/n)! I wasnât fast enough! Not nowânot ever!â There were tears streaming down his face.
I was in shock. How do you react to that kind of news? I couldnât speak, I couldnât move. My breath was suddenly gone and it was getting hard to breath. Everything around me was blurring.
I didnât know where I was. I didnât know what was happening. I couldnât breath. I was scared. My vision became blurry. I knew this feeling too well. I was having a panic attack.
I could hear the faint sound of someone calling my name. I felt the ground and the wall. I donât know where I am. Where am I? Whatâs happening? Whyâ?
â(Y/n)!â
Then, I see green eyes staring at me. Iâm confused before trying to take in the rest of their face.
âB-Barry?â
âHey, are you okay?â
He asks and I lose him again. His face is gone and I feel him fade away.
âBarry?â I was horrified heâd left me.
âHeyâhey, Iâm right hereâ he grabs my hands and places them on his face. I take in his features. His eyes, nose, mouth, eyebrows, all of him.
I feel tears stream down my cheeks and look around. I still donât know where I am and Iâm losing Barry at the thought of it.
â(Y/n), hey, my beautiful girl. Come on, stay with meâ he turns me to face him, âlook, (Y/n), Iâm right here, okay? Focus on meâ
I take him in again before he takes me into his arms and cradles me.
âBreath with me, come on, you can do thisâ he starts taking slow deep breaths and I attempt to follow. I choke back a sob and realize Iâm crying.
â(Y/n), you got this, come one. Inhaleâ he breaths in and I do the same, âexhaleâ he we both breath out, my breaths shaky and uneven.
We go on like this for several more minutes. I lost track a long time ago. Until Iâm calm enough to think straight. But I continue to cry on Barryâs chest. He whispers soft and sweet things into my ears.
âIâm sorryâ my voice was hoarse and quiet.
âHey, hey, heyâdonât be sorry. Itâs okâ he gently grabs my chin with one hand, âitâs okâ
He hugs me and I take in my surroundings. Weâre on the ground, up against the wall. I was shaking and I realized tears were streaming down my face.
âItâs justââ I pulled away, âI havenât had a panic attack in so long, but I guess the two year coma took a toll on me. Iâm really sorry.
âIt was just, a lot of information all at once. But Iâll be fine donât worryâ I wiped away at my face and leaned my head back against the wall.
âItâs not your fault, you donât have to be sorry. And telling me not worry just worries meâ he cupped one of my cheeks and gently wiped my tears.
âSorryâ the tears intensified and Barry gave a soft smile.
âYou know, I used to get them tooâ he confessed and I frowned.
âReally?â
âYeahâthey suck,â we both laughed quietly, âbut itâs over now, ok? Youâre ok. Itâs okâ
After that, everything was sort of a blur. We somehow ended up on my small bed, on opposite sides of it, facing each other. It reminded me of the train we took when I first got here.
We started talking, about personal things, stupid secrets, and silly confessions. Anything, really. Just enjoying each otherâs company.
All while me still recovering from my panic attack. I donât know what I wouldâve done if he wasnât still here. I was afraid heâd leave any minute now and Iâd go back to psyching myself out.
âHey, uh, I donât mean to pry, but earlier,â I cleared my throat, ây-you ca-called me your, um, beautiful girl?â I saw him blush and start scratching at the back of his neck.
âY-Yeah, itâs a-actually something my m-mom used to doâto calm me down, or, uh, just talk to meâ he looked down, tears welling in his eyes, âshe called me her beautiful boy, thought I might give it a, uh, s-shotâ
I scooted closer to him and took his hand in mine. I stroked it in attempt to comfort him. I awkwardly thanked him and he blushed.
âItâs no problemâ
âNo, I meanâthanks, really. For everythingâ
God, I felt like a teen again. With some silly high school crush.
âLike I said, itâs no problemâ
I felt more tears rush down my cheeks. I brought my knees up to my chest and hugged them. Barry reacted instantly and came over to hug me.
âHey, hey. Whatâs wrong?â
âI donât belong here, Barryâ I told him as my breathing became shallow.
â(Y/n), listen to meâ he turned my hear to face him, âitâs okay, itâs all okay, Iâm here, okay?â
I nodded, but the tears kept coming. Barry rubbed my arm soothingly and kissed the top of my head.
âYou belong here, (Y/n). Here. Alive. With me. Alright, my beautiful girl?â
For the rest of the night Barry whispered soothing thoughts to me. I cried and let it all out. He told me it was ok to cry. Before I knew it, I fell asleep, but not before I heard Barry tell me one last thing.
âI love youâ

â
I looked at the door to see Felicity, Oliver, Thea, and Diggle standing there. As I rose from my seat I was tackled by Oliver in a hug. Soon Diggle, Thea, & Felicity joined in.
âYou guys got here quickâ I said glarring at Barry.
âOliver made him swear to call us if you ever moved or showed any chance of waking upâ Felicity said.
âOh, my god. You have no idea how much we went through without youâ Thea said.
âYou have no idea how much we missed youâ Diggle said.
âYou have no idea how much you missedâ said Felicity.
âYou have no idea how much I wanna kill Barryâ I head Oliver say and I laughed.
âYouâre choking me, guysâ everyone but Oliver pulled away, laughing, they had noticeable tears in their eyes.
âI donât care, youâve been gone for over two years, in gonna hug you all I wantâ Oliver said into my hair.
âI love you so much, (Y/n). Youâre the best sister everââ
âHey!â I heard Theaâs voice but Oliver shushed her.
âThings have changed so much since youâve been gone. We need your helpâ Oliver pulled away and looked me in the eyes. âYou need to come home, (N/n)â
âOllie ⊠â I looked back at Barry, his head was hanging low, I frowned, âI donât think I canâ Barryâs head shot up.
âWhat?â Oliverâs voice was hard.
âI know, I know, itâs justââ
âNo, you donât know. You donât know whatâs happened. You donât know how much youâve missed. You donât understand. Youâre coming home with us & thatâs the end of itâ Oliver was firm, but I protested.
âOk so maybe I donât know, but I canât just leaveâ
âWhy notâ Oliver was getting louder and angrier by the second.
âOliver calm downââ I glared at him.
âNo! No, I wonât calm down!â
People around started staring. The atmosphere was getting tense. I could feel eyes on me. More importantly, though, I could feel cameras on me.
âOliverâ I warned.
I saw him swallow hard and he motioned for me to follow him. I turned back to Barry and frowned.
âHey, let me talk to him. You go back to S.T.A.R. Labs, Cisco needs youâ my voice was soft and he nodded back at me.
âWhy donât you guys get some coffee, thisâll take a whileâ Oliver said to everyone else as we started walking somewhere private.
We walked out of Jitters and down the sidewalk. We walked in silence for a good minute before Oliver turned down an alleyway to stop.
âOllieââ
âDonâtâ his voice was firm, âI know what youâre going to say and the answer is noââ
âWell, Iâm not asking for your permissionâ
âI donât careâ it came out harsher than he intended too, I guessed, because right after he said it he sighed and rubbed his temple.
â(Y/n)ââ
âNo, Oliver. Youâre going to listen to me for once and youâre going to listen well.
âYouâre right, I donât know whatâs happened and I donât know what youâve been through. But the thing is, I canât go back home. I belong here, Ollie. I know it.
âI feel it. Thereâs something about this city. Something about the peopleââ
âYou mean Barryâ
âYesâwait what? No! Oliver, youâre not listening to me. I-I know I sound stupid and horrible, but these people need me. I donât know how I know, but I do.
âEver since I first arrived here, it felt rightâ
âYou barely know this placeâthese people, (Y/n)â
âEven if I donât, Iâm not a kid anymore, Ollie. Iâm an adult. This is my life, I can live wherever I wantâ
âBut you canât just throw your old life away. We need your help back in Starling City. You have no idea what goes on around here.
âThere are dangerous people here. People we donât understand. Meta humans and multi universe villainsâ
âNothing I canât handleâ
Oliver looked at me with sad eyes. He was tearing up. He looked down at the floor and I saw him clench his fists.
âIâm scarred, (Y/n). Youâve already left me once and now youâre just going to do it againâ I could hear his voice shake.
I stepped forward and hugged him. He hugged me tightly like before. I felt tears come to my own eyes and laughed.
âYou canât get rid of me that easilyâ
âShut upâ I could sense the smile on his face.
âI love youâ my voice was quiet.
âI love you, tooâ he responded, equally quiet.
âWhy donât we go catch up over coffee?â
I could tell he was hiding something, too.
I walked into S.T.A.R. Labs and could tell everyone was tense. I frowned at Cisco before going off to find Barry and Iris. They were arguing in one of the rooms.
âAnd what about, (Y/n), huh?! When are you going to tell her the truth? You canât hide this from her, she has a right to knowâ I heard Iris say.
I debated walking in or to continue eavesdropping, but before I could consider my options, Barry spoke.
âIris, I-Iâm sorry. I donât know what the future holds, none of us do. I know that we will face it togetherâ he went to grab her hand, but she pulled it away.
My breath hitched and I turned around, walking the other way. I had a frown on my face when I saw Cisco walking towards Barry and Iris.
âGypsy just vibed me her locationâ
I sat back in the Cortex room as everyone was crowded around the monitors. I pursed my lips. I couldnât get what Iris said out of my head. Whatâre they hiding from me?
My thoughts were getting cloudier and cloudier by the second. Caitlyn, Barry, and Julian were going on about Cisco defeating Gypsy, but I couldnât focus.
âThey could be in any universe nowâ
I looked up and frowned at them. I bit my bottom lip and played with my hands. What if I really donât belong here? Is Barry just messing with me?
âYes!â
âHe won?â
âYes!â Barry and Caitlyn high fived in victory.
âShe must have been having an off dayâ I heard Julian say.
I let out a nervous laugh while Barry and Caitlyn glared at Julian.
âWhat?â Julianâs voice was sharp.
âWowâ
I snorted and looked down at the ground. I fidgeted with the bracelet Oliver gave me before he left back home. It had a golden arrow hanging on it. He told me that if I ever get homesick, not to hesitate to give him a call. I smiled softly at it and sighed.
âWhatâre you guys not telling me?â They became quieter as I demanded for answers.
âWhatâre you talking about, (Y/â?â Caitlin started, but I cut her off.
âDonâtâ I said, âjust tell me what youâre all hiding, because Iâm tired of waiting around for something to happen.
âI know itâs wrong, but I was eavesdropping on Barry and Iris earlierââ
âWait, you heard our conversation?!â
ââand she said you were hiding something. She was obviously upset and something bigger is going on here. Oliver must have known, too, or he wouldnât have just let me stay.
"Iâm a good detective, but not that good. You all stare at me like Iâm going to die or turn into some evil archenemy thatâll go psycho any minute! And you know, Iâm starting to get a little impatient here!â
I saw Julian look down at the ground. Caitlin silently stared at the monitor. I tried to meet Barryâs eyes, he looked anywhere but me. The air was tense.
âWell?â My voice was desperate.
No one moved. S.T.A.R. Labs was quiet. I exhaled roughly.
âFineâ I grabbed my phone and stood up. âIf you need me Iâll be in my stupid make-shift roomâ
